OK correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like the main 'yin/yang' parallel with Atsushi and Akutagawa is not something like 'this one is bad but secretly has a good side and this one is good but secretly has a bad side'.

I feel like it's more about 'who they are at their core vs who they choose to be'.

At his core Akutagawa is kind and at his core Atsushi is not. But despite this Atsushi tries every day to make the kinder choices and I love him so much for it. He has to work so hard to be good.

He wants to be a bitch SO bad I know he does but he tries his best to help people and be nice (sometimes he fails but that's OK <3)

Atsushi doesn't always WANT to help people, a lot of the time he's selfish and scared, but he does help people anyway. He keeps helping people over and over again. There's still some selfish motivation to it, and his initial motivation for helping people was because the headmaster told him that's all he was worth, but overall he does care about the people he helps and it weighs on him if he fails to save them. And of course, as the series goes on he starts helping people more because he can rather than because he feels like he needs to.

In Akutagawa's case, he's still capable of being kind but his environment led him into being someone who chooses to hurt people. But he's always been a protector at heart. In the start he was bad compared to Atsushi because he was choosing to hurt people and keep the cycle of abuse going. Just like how Atsushi developed in why he saved people, Akutagawa starts to get redeemed when he chooses to not just act on his rage. Not only does he start to spare people, but he speaks more kindly to them (apologising to Higuchi and telling Kyouka he's proud of her). It all culminates into the moment he chooses to help Atsushi and sacrifice himself for him, going back to his core value of being a protector. Even when he's finally revived, he keeps this role in his new position as Aya's Knight.

I kind of see the streaks of white in Akutagawa and the streaks of black in Atsushi not as their 'hidden sides' but as their fundamental selfs. That's who they are at their core, and their main colours (black for Akutagawa and white for Atsushi) are how they're presented to everyone else and how they try to have people see them as.

Things I make for myself when insomnia kicks in

Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.

I am blocking jikookers everyday now ever since AYS aired. I don't care if someone wants to answer all the trolls, akgaes, ex-jikookers. Whatever, do what you want. But keep it on your blog and don't clog the jikook tag with all the bullshit. And for what? For a snarky remark as a reply? As if that actually puts the anons in place? They achieved their purpose, you gave a platform to trolls. Well done.

Thought it was only fair that I do c!Punz after doing c!Dream, so here he is, ready to fight anyone who messes with his friend. And yes, just like with c!Dream all of his Minecraft skin elements and colors are apart of the design in one way or another.

People who enjoy neighbourly shenanigans on Hermitcraft! May I recommend False and Ren:

They’ve got lore (Demise 2, Minister stuff, Big T), infrastructure (rivers and helping out with each other’s bases), lots of pranks and shenanigans (both pranking each other and other hermits)

They twaddle and hang out at each other’s bases so much. False’s second channel FalseLive is filled with vods of her and Ren just hanging out. Like there’s sooo much stuff of them to binge (and more to come because they will inevitably collab again)

They pretty much end up near each other at some point in every season so they’re a reliable duo if you get invested in them. They were neighbours in HC6, started out neighbours in HC9 then did Blue River Raceway with Etho, and they’re sticking close by each other in HC10

All their storylines are so wholesome and cute :3 The famous MCC9 Blue Bats (which is their favourite shared moment), Ren getting the final kill in Demise 2 for False, Ren saying he cannot think of a more worthy winner for BRR, False’s Minister of Transport sign being the only one that remained after the Ren explosion slash execution, Ren giving False a multipass to her base, and on it goes

Shared motifs: winning things, races, crowns / royalty stuff, rivers / ravines (HC6 ravine neighbours, HC9 river raceway, HC10 Big Business rivers), flowers (Ren seems to love throwing flowers at False? Like that time he prank spammed her base with flowers. And of course gifting False her fav Minecraft flower for her birthday :3)

Ren hasn’t been in a MCC team with False after 2021 but MCC has always been their thing (Ren saying he’ll only play when on a team with False, False saying she misses Ren and going “where’s my teammate 🥺”)

Sometimes in the middle of their episodes, they’ll have a short segment of them pranking the other’s base. There’s no explanation or connection. It is what it is.

So yeah they’re really funny and sweet together :3 I also like how they work on builds and infrastructure together, it’s satisfying watching them come up something on the fly and then they somehow make their madness into reality

based on some turned characters, their instincts lead them to figures in their lives - Bruce goes to Gotham, Harley to Ivy, and Mera to Andy

Delusional au idea: Q!Slime replaces a version of himself in a world before the misclicks and because of that he’s able to stop them from happening. And he’s also able to have a better relationship with Q!Mariana which makes for a better home life for Flippa.

And because their daughter didn’t die, on day 22 instead of having a trial Slimeriana just go and signs all legal stuff to get married (I dunno how marriage stuff works)

Decided to spend waaaay too much time on @tricoufamily's Duo Challenge instead of writing. This was an awesome challenge and now I want to make a couple of scenes with these sims! 😆

The Plot:

Half-siblings Dillon and Addy have spent their entire lives in competition with each other. The children of infamous crime leader, Leigh Caldwell, they've devoted themselves to earning her favor, and becoming criminals worthy of the Caldwell name (although they constantly fight over how to go about any mission they share).
