Fnaf movie notes, spoilers ahead:
First off, fuck Scott Cawthon, let's just say I didn't watch the movie in theaters or on a streaming service.
What I liked:
Matthew Lillard actually looks like William Afton
The "Talking in Your Sleep" cameo was the best one of the movie, next to "I have a theory"
Cory was funny, as expected
I liked how they made the animatronics just kids, they want a friend.
The way the animatronics moved was great, I just wish we could have gotten a foxy running scene.
The cinematography and set design inside the pizzeria was great, and everywhere outside felt very real.
The animatronics were cute when I was supposed to like them and foreboding when I was supposed to be scared of them. I don't know if they physically changed the suits but it works.
Mike's actor was actually pretty good at looking distressed or upset.
I just want to hug the animatronics they are so cute 🥺🥺
The animatronics weren't sadistic, when they killed someone it was because they were trying to get them out or away. Just like if an actual little kid had that power, they wouldn't be cruel or even want to kill anyone, they just don't understand their own power
There actually were five nights!
Springtrap wiping the knife is a reference to Scream, where Matthew Lillard played Ghostface, who is known for wiping their knife after using it.
BALLOON BOY
What I didn't like:
You're telling me they named their main character Mike and they didn't have Afton go "MIKE! MICHAEL!!! MICHAEL DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!!!!! *MICHAEL!*
Vanessa was a nothing burger, even when her motivation was revealed it wasn't that good. I think it would have been better if they set up that she was working with Afton
Golden Freddy was everywhere but they didn't namedrop the kid once, and it was so inconsistent. He's here, he's not here. I'm assuming it's a combination of Cassidy and the Crying Child.
Afton's connection to the story is flimsy. Why was he pretending to be Raglan? I'm assuming it's so he could get night guards to toy with, that's why the animatronics killed the intruders but not Mike.
It's kind of weird thinking about the logic of how Afton killed Mike's brother, and gave his daughter the plane. Just seems a little bit of a stretch.
Even though I hate excessive gore, I thought there wasn't half as much violence as there should have been. I guess the PG-13 rating constricted a lot.
It takes a broom to activate what I'm assuming is a Circus Baby reference springlock, but Afton can jump around in Spring Bonnie.
The only Purple Guy reference we got was a purple tie. They should have made the security vest purple.
Questions
How is the cupcake sentient?
How does Afton control the kids?
Who cleaned up the blood of the four intruders? I'm guessing Afton but I wish they'd made it more clear
Why didn't Afton send out the animatronics on the first night? Even if he wanted to kill Mike, he seems like the type to psychologically torture people beforehand.
Why was there an "it's me" note? I get the reference, but why? Is Mike's brother here?
What's the Freddy mask with the saws inside? I know Afton uses it to kill people but why does it exist?
Why does Balloon Boy exist? Do the toy animatronics exist in this universe??
Why doesn't foxy have a tail?????
Favourite character: Foxy
If we get a sequel I hope we only get one or two. I don't want a whole cinematic universe. Finding ways to watch 12 movies 'other ways' will get complicated.
Also when the casting was revealed, I didn't know who Matthew Lillard was and someone told me he played live action Shaggy, so I didn't know he played fuckin STU FROM SCREAM until I watched the movie, so another cameo technically, just only for me

*Slaps Michael on the head* This strange creature can fit so much trauma.
It's time for a character analysis of one of the protagonists of all time! Because what do I do if not overanalyze things and characters we only have crumbs of?
So, childhood. We have pretty few things confirmed about his childhood.
Both he and Evan were tormented with the fear gas from who knows how young.
He bullied Evan.
He killed Evan.
Foxy was his chosen animatronic.
Yep, that's all we have to work with. But that's more than enough!
First of all, shout out to Evan for dealing with the most bullshit and never doing anything wrong in his life (next game comes out and reveals that if he lived, he would've been worse than William or smth and this whole post ages like milk) or afterlife unless you count the Golden Freddy jumpscares, but those feel justified, and this post isn't about him.
Back to Michael. Since all three Afton children were abused, it does make sense why Michael would act out the way he does towards Evan. Heavy emphasis on the fact that reasons are not excuses and that just because reasons behind his actions can be found does not mean it wasn't any less horrible.
Besides that, I don't really have much to say about the bite of 83, it's already gotten a ton attention, so I don't feel the need to analyze it either. It's interesting that we don't what the dynamic between Elizabeth and Michael was, I do like the theory that Elizabeth wasn't around until after the bite, but that's an entirely separate post.
Yeah... that's about all I have to say about his childhood. So, let's just skip ahead for years to FNaF 2's events!
I'm going to be honest and say it's unlikely Jeremy and Michael met during this right off the bat. Sorry, but with how much Mike is treated as a punching bag in canon, it's unlikely he had any friends at this point. The bully gang probably just drifted apart without any hard feelings against each other.
I'm curious about what exactly Michael's age would be at this point, minimum working age is the same, at 14 and considering the workers are paid exactly the minimum wage at the time ($3.35 an hour), I don't doubt William would put Michael to work as soon as possible, and at ten years old the bully group probably would've been able to lift Evan to shove him in Fredbear's mouth, I would say between Michael was probably 14 and at oldest 18, just because due to the sprite design of the bullies and he appears in earlies 20s in SL, which I'm placing 1993, but I'll save that for later.
Sheesh. First time really thinking William just plopping 14-year-olds in that situation for minimum wage. Nothing in comparison to being a serial killer of children, but, still, yikes.
Why was he there? I don't know, actually. I do think he's Fritz Smith, but why he would need a pseudonym or want to work there I haven't a clue. Unless he ran/moved in with Henry (doubt) and was trying spare cash and maybe track down William after hearing about how his sister died and it was six years before he actually caught up to William and that was because William had figured the only way to get Michael off his back was to get rid of him.
And this is already a horribly long post, so if I expound upon this anymore it'll definitely be a part two talking about SL, Springtrap, and the thirty-year time gap. FNaF 3, Pizzeria Sim, and theories about how he could still be around and what he'd be doing in modern FNaF would probably have to be a part three, knowing me.

MAD QUEEN
- A Five Nights at Freddy’s Elseworld -
————————————————————
The incident that should have killed Elizabeth Afton in 1980 when she was 8 only crippled her left arm beyond repair. She lived, and eventually grew up to inherit her father’s company, Afton Robotics Inc., and continue his monstrous legacy.
With her father, now Springtrap, she searches for the spirit of her little brother Evan to bring him home, but her twin brother Michael refuses to let that happen.
Tumblr media
————————————————————
Some things canon to this Elseworld:
Michael and Elizabeth (Lizzy) are twins in this AU. She initially dies in 1980 at 8 years old, and Michael is 10-ish in 1983, when Evan dies. (Recycled idea from Freddy & Friends, my main FNAF AU)
It’s partially inspired by the old theory that Elizabeth was speaking through the Fredbear plush to Evan in the FNAF 4 ending, promising “I will put you back together.” Because of this, it is Lizzy’s goal to fulfill her’s and her father’s desires and bring Evan back from the dead.
William trains her to be the next head of Afton Robotics, and she continued his legacy after he was spring-locked. They concluded their experiments and completed his new body years ago, and now they’re on the search for his spirit, nowhere to be found. He’s hiding from them.
On this note, Android Theory is partially canon here, but not in its entirety. They’ve built an android body for Evan so that they can “revive” him, but they need his soul to do so. So no, there is no android Evan running around.
She never kills anyone directly, but I imagine she either reopens Circus Baby’s Pizza World or creates the Twisted ones for experimentation (or both). One thing’s for sure: she’s just as psychotic as her father. That’s why Evan doesn’t want to be found. He knows they’re monsters.
GoldenDuo is for sure canon to this, but in a different way. Instead of the two spirits inhabiting Golden Freddy, Evan isn’t tethered to any specific character (not even Shadow Freddy). However, Evan tends to cling to Cassidy because she’s his friend, and Cassidy protects him from the rest of his family, including Michael (though she still has an ego that only a child can have).
Michael has a… complicated relationship with his family. William and Lizzy are convinced that he hates them, just like he hated Evan, but they never saw—they refused to see—that he loved Evan as much as anyone else in that family. He wants to love them too, but they won’t let him. They hate him.
Michael does NOT get scooped in this AU. Because Elizabeth is still alive, there is no reason for Michael to be sent to Sister Location.
Elizabeth doesn’t hate Circus Baby for what happened because she knows it was an accident. It was supposed to be anyone else, and she was unlucky enough to be the one kid that was alone. Michael has some distaste from her not seeing it the same way with him.
Evan used to hate Michael, but Charlie (The Puppet) eventually helped him realize that Michael was a good person, and wanted to help Evan more than anything in the world. So Evan revealed himself to Michael, and they both worked together to put an end to his father’s sick game.
Lastly, this is NOT canon to Freddy & Friends (my main FNAF AU). This is a sort of “what if” on the OG FNAF timeline, with a few of my own takes in there (with the help of a friend). If you wanna do something with this—make fan art, fanfics, animations—go right on ahead. This was just me writing these ideas down and seeing how they flow.
Be sure to give credit if you do anything with it, though.

MORE INFORMATION + ISOLATED SKETCHES UNDER THE CUT
—————————————
Canon Event - The Night of the Fire:
March 16, 2007, Michael sets fire to an Afton Robotics warehouse where Springtrap and Evan’s new body are being kept, but not without interference from Elizabeth. She almost kills him, holding him at gunpoint, but she realizes that she has some semblance of a heart after all. They both escape the burning building together.
Michael and Elizabeth have a heart to heart outside as they watch the building burn: Elizabeth learns that Michael never hated them. He’s always loved them, and wanted nothing more than to be her brother, but they refused him; it was easier to believe that he meant to kill Evan than to believe it was an accident. Learning this, Elizabeth’s view of Michael shifted into something kinder.
Springtrap (who escaped the fire before it got bad) meets them back there. Michael tells them both that Evan doesn’t want to be found. He saw what their father did, and was horrified. Evan sees them as monsters. Elizabeth realizes that it’s true, but Springtrap starts laughing with pure joy, now that he knows that Golden Freddy was the only suit in the room when he did what he did. He now knows how to find Evan now but, Elizabeth finally realizes how much of a monster her father is.
William doesn’t actually care about what Evan wants, and he never did. He only cared about how Evan made him feel—Evan was his favorite child, and he only gave the twins attention when they were useful. William only cares about himself, and it’s only now that Elizabeth sees that. All she ever was to him was a tool to help him get what he wants.
Elizabeth on the other hand DOES care about Evan. He was her brother, and she loved playing with him. He was the light of the family, and the twins knew that better than anyone. Her whole plan for him hinged on him never having to learn what she and her father did to bring him back, but he knew the whole time. She was heartbroken, ashamed of what she had done—what she became in order to please her father.
Springtrap and Michael start fighting, just like they used to. But this time, it’s the last straw. Elizabeth tries to stop him, but Springtrap backhands her across the cheek, and he throws Michael back into the fire as the building explodes, forcing Elizabeth to watch her brother scream in pain as the fire begins to consume him. Filled with rage, she punches Springtrap in the face, shattering the prosthetic arm that he made for her. Springtrap abandons her, coming to realize that he no longer needs her.
Michael would have been dead if Evan didn’t convince Cassidy to save him. Michael had severe third degree burns across most of his body, but he survived. Afterwards, Mike is treated by a nurse friend of Elizabeth’s (gay?) in her home because Michael hates hospitals (they bring back bad memories).
Michael and Elizabeth now work together to bring their father down once and for all, helping the other spirits find their happiest day.

Context for all choices

Choice 2. It annoyed me to no end that we never saw Golden Freddy in FFPS, especially since Crying Child never returned as Golden Freddy. So my solution is this. Since Pizzeria Simulator was technically the Afton Family Reunion(and Emily family reunion). I strongly feel like Golden Freddy should have been one of the animatronics we are meant to salvage. Like imagine when we are trying to do our tasks, your computer shuts off and IT’S ME… flashes before we get jumpscared. You could’ve even gave Golden Freddy a new design. Half Golden Freddy and Half Fredbear spliced together. Just to show that Cassidy and Evan are there possessing the animatronics.

“Out of the 4 characters in FNaF 6 (Scrap Baby, Molten Freddy, Scraptrap and Lefty) Molten Freddy is by far the least interesting of the group, I feel like Molten Freddy was a big wasted opportunity as there was so much more Scott could’ve done with him, he could’ve easily include Ballora, Funtime Foxy and Bon-Bon as part of its design and personality but I feel like Scott tossed them aside to put Funtime Freddy front and centre due to his popularity and I honestly think he’s only popular because of his voice and maybe his design (if there are any other reason please let me know because that’s all I can see). So, I decided to create my own version of Molten Freddy and put a different spin on him, to try and make the character more interesting. This is my own interpretation of Molten Freddy, which I’ve named Scrap Ennard.Since Scrap Ennard is made out of at least 3 animatronics: Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy and Ballora (or 4 if you count Bon-Bon), I wanted to show that in its design, instead of having 3 or 4 sperate heads like some people seem to interpret their version of Scrap Ennard (or just one head with Ennard’s mask), I wanted to just have one big head but with 4 faces fused together into a mangled mess, I think this would look a lot more horrifying and scary rather than just having 4 separate heads on long necks which to me is a bit cliché when making a character with multiple heads.I gave Scrap Ennard 4 arms because not only does it look cool but since it’s made out of 4 animatronics, it makes sense for it to have 4 arms, these arms are controlled by a different animatronic, with Ballora controlling its right arm, Funtime Freddy controlling its left arm, Funtime Foxy controlling it’s hook arm and Bon-Bon controlling the claw arm. I only gave Scrap Ennard 2 legs because I felt 4 legs would overcomplicate the design a bit, these 2 legs are controlled by Ballora and Funtime Freddy. With 4 characters in one, this can give Scrap Ennard multiple personalities, with each one having their own voice and behaviours, there would be a total of 5 personalities: Funtime Freddy, Ballora, Funtime Foxy, Bon-Bon and Ennard which will be all of them combined, the personalities would change between nights. Other than Funtime Foxy, each character would have their original voices and it will active with whatever personality is in front, Ballora would still have her singing voice and Funtime Freddy would still have his laughter, for Ennard’s voice it would be all the voices talking at the same time, similar to the Delightful Children from Kids Next Door, that kind of voice coming from an animatronic like this would sound really creepy and unique. Its vocabulary would also change depending on which personality is in front, with the 3 individual personalities with voices addressing itself is “me” or “I” or “he” or “she” but with Ennard’s personality it will address itself as “we” or “us” or “ours”, similar to Ermac from Mortal Kombat.I like the idea of the animatronics working together to navigate and manoeuvre rather the just letting one-character take command, I think it just makes the character more unique, plus it makes more sense within the story, isn’t the reason the 4 remaining characters kicked Circus Baby out of Ennard was because they got tired of taking orders from her, but they’re perfectly okay with taking orders from Funtime Freddy, that doesn’t really make sense to me.”
I will say Ballora would be more active and actually be fighting Funtime Freddy for the more dominant personality just so we can have the whole Afton family reunion.

More emphasis on Scraptrap. So I didn't mention it in the poll because there was no room, but I would put more focus on Scraptrap. Why?
Afton’s characterization in FFPS was disappointing. Not just design wise, but it barely feels like he has a presence.
I understand that William being deceived into entering Henry’s maze isn’t impossible to explain with his current characterization, but the way Scraptrap was handled in FFPS was pretty bad. His design was a downgrade from FNaF 3 and he was difficult to distinguish from the other antagonists. He’s the big bad of the series but Baby, a character who was only introduced in the previous game, had more of a presence. He entered the maze knowing it was a trap but was too tempted to resist. I’m guessing Scott was trying to characterize William as being too bloodthirsty to be rational, but William just came off more as stupid than irrational.
I’d be more forgiving if it was William who delivered the monologue instead of Baby.
Like I could just imagine it. William spouting about how he knew this was all a trap and he knows by who. Imagine this as Scraptrap’s intro instead of stupidly saying “I knew it was a trap but I’m here anyway”. “Tell me, my dear old friend. Did you think I wouldn’t know it was you? I’m coming for you, the children and you, my son.” and make a comment about Michael “the prodigal son has returned” and how fitting he gets to repay Michael for the FF fire. All the children and all the remnant just begging to be harvested. “I cannot die. I am eternal and I always come back. Come Elizabeth, let us start by ending your dear brother’s misery.” Then add in Scrap Baby’s speech and then cut to Henry’s speech.
Choice 5.

If they could turn Ennard into Molten Freddy but have Funtime Freddy as the dominant personality, I saw no reason why they couldn't do the same for Ballora. I saw a lot of art and edits of Scrap Ballora as a spider and holding a scythe and I love the concepts and thought it would be great in FFPS. But as for game over voice lines we could have it be like this. Ballora singing a twisted but melancholic melody, Ballora telling Michael "you should have let me in" "No....not you. I didn't want to hurt you." "Together, we are a family."
As for how to tie Ballora and Mrs Afton together. There would be a fourth minigame as a Ballora and the Minireenas minigame. Atari styled DDR I guess? But it works like Fruity maze. Everytime you complete the game, you see something interesting. Complete It the first time and you see a ballerina and the purple man. Complete it a second time and you see the man and the ballerina with a family with three kids. Complete it one final time and you see a car accident and the man taking the ballerina to Ballora and the text reads "I will put you back together"
Choice 6. First we see Michael speak to his family. Before Scrap Baby corners Michael, Michael speaks to his family. “Little brother, Evan. I don’t know if you can hear me or even remember me or your name. But I’m sorry and I love you. Elizabeth, sister. I know you betrayed me and I know you’re the reason why I’m like this. But I forgive you and I love you. Mother. I'm sorry I couldn't set your soul free, but I love you. Father. it’s me Michael. I found you. And I’m going to make sure we all die together, as a family”
Then cue Henry's speech, but a difference.
Henry would address Charlie by name. “Charlie, my daughter if you can hear me. I knew you would return as well. It's in your nature to protect the innocent. I'm sorry that on that day. The day you were shut out and left to die. No one was there to lift you up in their arms. The way you lifted others into yours. And then, what became of you? I should have known, you wouldn't be content to disappear. Not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now.” It's time to rest, for you, and for those you have carried in your arms.
Choice 7.
The Lorekeeper ending would be like the Happiest Day in FNAF World. There would be two screens for the ending. Showing the graves we got, then doing something similar with FNAF 4 where the plushies and CC’s pass one by one. We would see Atari sprites of the Missing Kids, Charlie, Mrs Afton, and Henry passing one by one, but with the shadow of one remaining just to tease UCN. Then the final image we’d see is Michael holding onto Evan and Elizabeth mirroring FNAF World’s Happiest Day and their spirits at peace ascending to the afterlife

can you tell me more abt henr y emily 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
RUBS HANDS TOGETHER NEFARIOUSLY ok sooo basicallyyyy :3
henry co-founded fazbears with william and helped make the original animatronics . he had a daughter [charlotte "charlie" emily] that was killed by william after being locked outside of fredbear's diner , seen in take cake to the children [fnaf 2 minigame] and security puppet's minigame [fnaf 6] . The puppet [an animatronic] found his daughter outside after she was killed and layed down next to her , deactivating in the process because it was raining , letting her possess it .
hes theorized to be the desk man from fnaf world , a secret character that says alot of things but the only rly important stuff is from the circus baby ending . Image of the desk guy bellow
Tumblr media
in the circus baby ending , he talks about how hes made something terrible and he cant stop it . and then the lights go out , circus baby[the animatronic that killed elizabeth afton , williams daughter]'s voice says "the show will begin momentarily . everyone please stay in your seats" and when the lights come back on henrys head is on his desk and blood pools around his head . Me personally i think the desk man is him but its . Kinda weird with the ending because he dies in pizzeria sim . But i like thinking that so im ignoring how much that doesnt make sense
In pizzeria simulator , hes the cassette man that tells michael stuff throughout the game . tbh i havent payed that much attention to pizzaria sim but im insane abt the completion ending so im talking abt that
in the completion ending , scrap baby [circus baby but all fucked up] , scraptrap [that one ugly ass springtrap redesign] , and michael afton are all inside the building . henry sets the building on fire and starts talking over a cassette . His monologue is split up into parts directed towards different people in the building .
Elizabeth/scrap baby/everyone: he apologizes for interupting elizabeth ["if you still even remember that name"] , and says they havent been called here for what they think , and theyre in a "labyrinth with no exit , a maze with no prize" . "always chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber , always seeming so near yet always out of reach . but you will never find them . None of you will ." chat im normal
michael: he tells michael there was a way out , but he thinks thats not what he wants and hes exactly where he wants to be . henry says hes remaining nearby and the place wont be remembered , itll fade away like every tradgedy should .
everyone: he says theres peace waiting for most of them , but for one of them [william/scraptrap] the deepest pit of hell has opened waiting to swallow him whole ."so dont keep the devil waiting , old friend" old friend a gayass thing to call someone 🤣
charlie [his daughter]: he says he knew she wouldnt be content to die and its in her nature to protect the innocent , he apologizes for nobody being out there to save her and "i couldnt save you then , do let me save you now" .
he ends it with "this ends. For you and for all of us" and the tape ends . they all die in the fire together and its implied henry died in it too ? man all we know is how he died was a suicide of some sort . normal about the afton's fire motifs aaaaannddddd hit post

Here are the synopsis of some of the different stories.
Lost Times:
What would happen if everything we know of the current timeline was a nightmare? How do you tell reality from fiction? Will William take the time to better himself with his seeming second chance, or will he use his newfound knowledge to improve his scheme for immortality?
Kingdom of Springlocks:
Evan and Michael are catapulted into a world where animatronics are their own creatures like humans. The boys get taken in by Springtrap, the exiled king, who’s being hunted by his own royal guard. How long will they survive?
Afton Family Stupidity:
A series of short stories of the Afton family every day life and funny scenarios. This one is based on a prompt list, but will also be open to requests.
Spriglocked Memories:
Springtrap has awoken with no memories of his past, and the employees of Fazbears Fright just sort of accept him. Meet Yin, the newest employee of Fazbears Fright as they work together to figure out more about his past. (I’ve seen this one kicked around a couple times and wanted to try my hand at it.)
Salvaged Mind:
Follow Vanessa Andreyes as she tries to uncover the secrets of Fieldburrow Asylum after its mysterious fire 30 years ago. Discover the story of the Salvage, a inmate left behind during the chaos, mysteriously entombed in an old animatronic. (This one is a ‘readers choose the next path’ story.)
If there’s more than one that sounds interesting, feel free to put which ones in the tags!

so what drove will to kill in your au
When I tell you my AU is all over the place and takes like... popular 80s tropes and put them in a blender I mean it bc Will was a trained assassin assigned to be Mrs Afton's (at that time not married) undercover bodyguard (she had no idea abt this) while they (Mrs Afton, Will, Henry, Mrs Emily) were doing research as scientists so he already had like experience killing ppl. Along the way they started theorizing abt remnants and immortality through technology etc etc but they decided to get married and quit their jobs and lay low and live a normal life they never had so they abandoned the research but Will never like. Let it go entirely bc he's scared of death.
Anyways Mrs Emily dies, Mrs Afton also dies (partially bc of William's neglect and him telling her there was nothing wrong with her even though she was deathly ill) and then CC dies (again bc of Will's neglect this time as a father) and he accidentally kills Charlie bc of drunk driving. He realizes that Charlie is the Puppet, but he doesn't help her. Now Will dusts off their old files on the project bc he wants to bring his family back to life somehow, fix his mistakes yaddi yaddi yadda. His next victims aren't accidents but in his deteriorating mind he thinks it's okay and necessary bc he's gonna bring them back to life anyways but then Elizabeth dies and he loses hope, blames it all on Michael, yells at him and just leaves, completely abandoning Michael.
He comes back obviously, at that point Michael and Henry know what he's done and they try to lure him back into the diner to arrest him. Problem is traumatized Michael wants revenge, for both himself and the kids that suffered. He goes off plan, confronts William face to face at the diner, they get into a knife fight, Michael realizes that he can't bring himself to kill his father. Will slightly injures Mike, doesn't kill him, tells him to stay down, Mike refuses, launches at Will to stop him from getting near the withereds and the springlock failure incident happens. Will dies in front of Michael as Mike manically tries to get him out of the suit, realizing what he's done. Mike sets the building on fire, hoping it would free the kids and he'll finally be with his family again, but it doesn't work bc he strikes a deal with Charlie and CC where he cannot die until every last part of his father has left the earth.
Springtrap from then on becomes blinded by rage and anger, at that point abandoning everything abt remnants and going after Michael and everybody he loves, slasher style.

So I finished “FNAF: The Silver Eyes” and I have thoughts regarding the movie and what people keep saying about it.
If you have not read the book or if you have not seen the movie and you don’t want spoilers for either, I suggest turning back now.
Why did people say Scott tried to cram all three books into one movie?? Because William Afton revealed himself as Springtrap? Because he used his real name instead of Dave Miller?? Why???? Because Scott did not stick all three books into one movie. I have a thesis to prove it.
What he did do is make a perfect mash-up of the first FNAF game and the first FNAF book.
Mike plays the role of “Charlie Emily”.
Main protagonist
His father is, theoretically, Afton’s work partner.
Meaning, his father also worked on the animatronics.
His sibling, Garrett, was kidnapped when he was young.
Garrett plays the role of “Sammy”, Charlie’s long lost twin brother.
This is a loosely fitted parallel
Only because Sammy is Charlie’s long lost twin brother
And Garrett is, well, not that to Mike.
He is Mike’s younger brother, not twin
Still long-lost though
And, much like Charlie, still haunts him to the present day.
The loss of both Sammy and Garrett broke both families apart.
Nightmares
Abby plays the role of “Jason”, a kid who the animatronics try to protect in the book.
Art
The animatronics just want to make friends
They were trying to protect her.
While Jason was probably a year or two older than Abby is, they’re still kids.
There is a lot more parallels to the book than just that, but I really wanted to point that out.
In the book, there is a cop—two who actually stand out: Officer Dunn and Clay Burke.
The trio killed in the movie was actually just one person in the book, but there was still death.
The animatronics roaming around is very accurate to the book and the game.
THE SPRINGLOCK
I don’t care what people say
It
Was
ACCURATE!!
I was impressed with I read it in the book.
They kept it book accurate in the movie.
Chef’s fucking kiss
I’m trying to remember more and I can not
I am EXTREMELY EXCITED for the next movie but I’m reading the second book and if there is not a scene with Mike, Abby, and Circus Baby like there is in the book with John, Charlie, and Circus Baby, I am boycotting.
Can you imagine the absolute TERROR of Circus Baby grabbing hold of Abby and trying to eat her while Mike is trying his damnedest to save her??
I imagine that while the kids look on, watching, and Michael—Golden Freddy—is watching and smiling because all he “wants is Abby.”

FNAF Movie Cast spoilers! If you care about that! I don't but some of you probably do!
Ok ok ok so I've been scrolling through Tumblr due to the wonderful news that FNAF is finally getting a movie!! So, people have obviously been talking about what that movie might entail, and it's possible someone's already explained my thoughts but I'd like to put them out there because they're driving me crazy
So I was scrolling and I saw a user mention that they really hope William Afton and Mike Schmidt are related like in the games, because of that sweet sweet Afton drama and that made me think, "Oh shit ya, I really want that too, but they don't have the same last name, weird" so if they don't have the same last name, that brings in the potential that they aren't related, which sucks because it'd be so interesting to see the Afton family interact!
Tumblr media
I mean, they kinda look similar! I'm no face expert, but they do share a similar smile.
Of course I do believe that the movie is going with their own timeline mostly, but I do believe it'll answer some of our questions! Anyway, so I believe I have a theory (A game film theory) about what's going down, but that leads me into my next tangent.
So, who is Mary Stuart Masterson playing? It says female villain, but can we try and figure that out using meta logic beforehand? I have 4 theories
1. She is Mrs. Afton.
Now I kinda do and don't like this one, so let me explain. The title says "female villain" so the movie wants to keep it hush hush on who she is exactly, which means she is some sort of plot twist villain, she's someone we don't know at all, or someone we know little about, just like Mrs. Afton. This actually explains the Schmidt Afton difference. It's possible that Mrs. Afton's maiden name is Schmidt, she divorces William, and changes her kids' last name in the process. Now both Abby (which we all know is an anagram for Baby, come one) and Mike are named Schmidt, so unless Mike has a daughter for some reason, they are most likely siblings, being the in universe Michael and Elizabeth. If we go by this theory, we can assume that the Crying Child incident still happened, causing Afton and his wife to divorce, she takes the kids in the process because he's a psychopath, changes her name back to Schmidt along with her kids, and she gets some of the franchise in the divorce, leading her to want to get revenge on Afton for ruining their family with his animatronics by manipulating the animatronics into attacking security guards so the place never gets restored or revamped. This leads her into being a sympathetic villain, even though this theory is hurt a bit by the fact that if William Afton is a villain, which he probably is, then it makes little sense for the movie to have two villains which are actively against each other plus why would she put her son in danger? I do like this because it gives us Afton lore and drama but it also makes Mrs. Afton a villain, putting hate on her and less on William, which I'm not sure I like.
Leading me to my next point
2. This female villain is Vanny/an animatronic.
This one I like less to be honest. The cast already has a Vanessa, so why would they separate Vanessa from Vanny? What would they gain by doing that weird twist? If this female villain is an animatronic, who is it and why do they get a bigger role? It's most likely not Golden Freddy, since it's much more likely a child plays that role, and putting in a new animatronic would be weird. Even if we guess Springtrap will be in the movie, why would a woman play him instead of Matthew Lillard and that doesn't get rid of Mary Stuart Masterson being called "Female villain" unless they genderbend Springtrap for some reason.
I'm actually now thinking she might voice The Puppet which is an entirely new can of worms which I haven't thought about. It makes sense the puppet would want to attack someone in the FNAF restaurant, the puppet can manipulate the animatronics to do her bidding, this movie doesn't follow all the FNAF lore, so it's possible that they just get rid of the Charlie aspect. Ok I literally just thought of this so feel free to dispute me about this because I haven't thought of it clearly yet
3. This female villain is a person we've never seen before.
This is probably the most likely option in my opinion. What I'm thinking is if this is a stand alone movie, with it's own universe and only some true ties to the game series, then they could go with the classic 'Manager or boss who seems kinda nice but they're either a bit sus or too nice and then BOOM at the end they were behind it all along!' trope. It's possible this female villain is just a manager who works or used to work in Freddy Fazbear's, has some vendetta, and uses Mike to obtain or do something for their own benefit, planning to leave him to die while they succeed in their goal. This does introduce the problem of "Why is this random chick the villain if we've never even met her before?" But it also makes sense for the movie to do this if this movie isn't too close to FNAF's universe.
All in all, I think the "We've never met this female villain" and "Its Mrs. Afton" are the most viable of the 4 theories, but they still have their problems and I'm completely open to these theories being absolutely torn apart, which they probably will if we get more trailers explaining what's going on, I just really want to talk about FNAF and my head is buzzing with ideas! Feel completely free to talk about these with me in the comments, I'm just super excited for this movie (and Security Breach Ruins, but that's a different rant)

Five Nights at Freddy's: Nothing Remains, Night 20: Unfixable
Tumblr media
''Welcome my friend to a night in our circus world. We're looking for a technician and you're just the guy we've heard of. We're held away by wiring, now we're wanting out. Can you shock us? Can you tame us? But we want your body now! Now behave, for the voices in the halls will try to eat you up alive. So before the show begins, please don't hold against our sins, 'cause by dawn you'll be crumbling in your skin! We are the tortured! We're not your friends! So long as we're not visible, we are unfixable! We are the curses, crumbled inside! Look left or right, we're unthinkable! Our fate is now unfixable!''
– Unfixable by DAGames (Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location)
xXxXxXx
Sam sighed, leaning her head against the table. She was completely exhausted, but she still had to get her shift done. Luckily, aside from some complaints about the animatronics staring at empty spaces, they didn't seem to be malfunctioning. It didn't take her long to figure out what the animatronics were staring at either.
''I think that we should cut the night short,'' Springtrap told Sam, drawing her attention. ''I know that we agreed to stay here much longer in case the Drawkills show up, but after what happened today, I feel that it would be better for you to just go home once your shift is done.''
''Sure, but…'' Sam muttered reluctantly, yawning.
''If you want, we could stay here and keep an eye on the location,'' Michael interrupted her. ''After all, I used to work at Freddy's as a night guard, and I'm sure that Sammy and Elizabeth won't mind staying here.''
Sam smiled tiredly and looked up to see Sammy and Elizabeth running from one side of the room to the other, with the animatronics watching the two, moving their heads left and right and vice versa as if they were at a tennis match. Both Sammy and Elizabeth seemed to be quite enjoying their little game, weaving between tables and peeking out of their hiding spots to see if they were still being watched by the animatronics. Sam then turned back to Michael and Springtrap, who were sitting across her, both looking a bit worried.
''I'm fine with that,'' Sam replied, narrowing her eyes. ''However, I'd still rather go along with what we had planned, regardless of what had happened.''
''I know, but after seeing you get stabbed and tortured, I believe that it would be better for you to take more time to recover,'' Springtrap replied, his eyes glowing in a faint purple. ''Tell me, does your chest still hurt?''
''It feels sore,'' Sam admitted reluctantly. While she had managed to get some rest, she was still in a state of stupor, having to put a lot of effort into focusing on her surroundings and the people she was talking to. She was well aware that she was in no shape to confront the Drawkills in case they appeared. She took a deep breath, leaning against the seat, and noticed Elizabeth and Sammy approaching them. ''Nevertheless, it's not like this is the first time I had to experience the sensation of death, as something similar happened when I got accidentally injected with remnant. I met the other children, who basically told me that I should die so they could prove their point, that point being that William was a danger to me. They were quite frustrated when I refused to go along with it, especially since I had the chance to return.''
''That's awful-'' Michael said, only to get interrupted by Elizabeth.
''That's just plain crazy!'' she exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention. There was a look of indignation on her expression. ''Why would they want to do that to you?!''
''I guess that, in their head, the end justifies the means,'' Sammy said, turning to Sam as he and Elizabeth sat next to her. ''If it didn't, they wouldn't have gone for you. No offense, but you basically made yourself a target for them.''
''None taken,'' Sam replied. ''I am aware that I had unintentionally made myself their target simply by caring about your father, and I can live with that. However, what frustrates me is that they are simply refusing to move on. I mean, this is no longer an issue they need to deal with, as I had taken over it and I believe that I'm handling the situation quite well.''
''That may be true, but you're not handling the situation the way they want,'' Michael told her. ''Of course, it's not like their ideas ever worked.''
''Exactly,'' Sam said, adding in a softer tone, ''Speaking of which, have you ever found Phone Guy? He did say to check the heads in the back room.''
''Unfortunately, not,'' Michael replied, shaking his head. ''Although, I'm not surprised. Fazbear Entertainment had probably cleaned everything and disposed of the body long before I had arrived. However, I'm not sure whether they considered his death another tragedy to add to their record or just collateral damage they had to hide. Considering how they treated all of their employees, I'd assume that it's the latter.''
''I guess that I should make sure that I won't suffer from the same treatment,'' Sam said, glancing at the animatronics. She felt chills crawling down her spine when she realized that they were now staring at their table. She tried to ignore them and glanced at Springtrap, who was unusually quiet the whole time, having a somber look on his expression, his head lowered. ''Will, what's wrong?''
''Honestly, I don't think that really anything of that matters,'' Springtrap said in a crestfallen tone. ''It doesn't change the fact that I'm responsible for you getting hurt. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in this situation.''
''William, it's not your fault for what happened to me, unless you want to say that you showing care for me was the wrong thing to do,'' Sam told him in a stern tone, with Springtrap looking a little anxious. ''I agree that, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this situation, and honestly, I wouldn't change anything about it. You haven't done anything over the past few weeks to warrant such reaction and no, I'm not going to count what happened before you came here, as you already got punished for that. I know that I'm just repeating myself here, but that kid acted less like someone who was on a mission to protect me and more like someone who was angry that their favorite toy had been taken away and that the person who got it wouldn't give it back, so they've been trying to come up with some kind of excuse why they deserve that toy.''
''I assume that one of those excuses included them hurting you and then saying it was the old man's fault that you got stabbed,'' Michael said, crossing his arms as he briefly glanced at Springtrap. At first, he looked troubled, but then his eyes flared up purple as he remembered the event, with the feeling of anger washing over him. ''Nevertheless, it was still disturbing to see you holding that knife in your hand.''
Springtrap was startled, remaining silent for a moment. Michael rose an eyebrow, figuring that his father was trying to come up with another nonsensical excuse or explanation, only to be surprised when he shook his head.
''I admit, I actually wanted to murder the kid at that point, even though they were already dead. They had hurt Sam, and honestly, I didn't really care about the consequences,'' Springtrap said in a steady and serious tone. He then added in a more quiet tone, ''I'm sorry you had to see me like that.'' He sighed. ''I kind of expected for you to leave after that…''
''Well, you did explain to us what the hell had happened,'' Michael replied. ''Frankly, I would've wanted to hurt that little bastard as well for what they did to Sam.''
He fell silent, noticing Sam smiling at him and nodded. Even though he hated his father, he couldn't deny that the kid would've had it coming for almost murdering Sam. Even though her physical body hadn't been harmed, she still went through quite a horrible ordeal and it was surprising that she wasn't a broken mess because of that. He was aware that she was much tougher than people gave her credit for and knew well what she was getting herself into, being willing to still carry on with this ordeal.
''Henry might decide to pay you a visit because of what had happened,'' Michael added. Springtrap just nodded, having already expected this to happen as he was sure that Henry wouldn't let this go without lecturing him.
''Don't worry, I can deal with him,'' he replied.
There was a moment of awkward silence, with all of the table's occupants trying to figure out how to carry on the conversation without sounding strained or hostile. Springtrap was well aware that Michael, Sammy and Elizabeth were only tolerating his presence because of Sam and Michael agreeing with him on the kid's treatment was something he probably didn't want to admit. Nevertheless, he was quite happy that they actually tried to talk to him, awkward as the conversation was, instead of giving him the cold shoulder and completely ignoring him. Considering how much issues he had at maintaining a healthy relationship and admitting his mistakes, this was a huge step in the right direction and frankly, he was quite relieved about it.
''There is something interesting to note, though,'' Sam suddenly said. ''Despite all denial, by deciding to harm me, the kid had essentially shown that they are aware that William actually cares about me.''
''Not that they would ever admit it,'' Michael added. ''I mean, they're obviously not the type of person who would listen to logical reasoning.''
''I say that they're a lost case.'' Elizabeth crossed her arms, leaning back on her seat. ''If they continue like this, it will only get worse.''
''They are going to eventually lose their mind,'' Sammy added, him and Elizabeth exchanging grim looks. Both of them were well aware of how it felt to give into your desire for blood and torture or be completely obsessed with revenge, as they went through the same; Elizabeth having her mind corrupted by a murderous animatronic AI and Sammy torturing Michael for causing his death. Neither of them were proud of what they had done and they wanted to move on from their past. He and Elizabeth glanced at Sam, Springtrap and Michael, who gave them a sympathetic look, already knowing what was going through their head. ''I'm afraid of what is going to happen once they do. Lizzy's right, this can only get worse.''
''We won't let it happen,'' Sam replied in a determined tone. Sammy nodded, but he was still a bit anxious. ''Listen, I know that you are worried about me, but I'm not going down without a fight. I will be careful, but I'm not going to let that kid tell me whom I should trust. Also, I noticed that the kid didn't seem to like you guys either.''
''Yeah, they don't,'' Elizabeth said, her green eyes sparking up as she gave Sam a curious look. ''But, you do like us, right?''
''I do,'' Sam replied. ''I mean, I enjoy talking to you and you guys are treating me nicely-''
''Awesome!'' Elizabeth interrupted her, giving her a mischievous grin. ''So, does this mean that you won't mind if I call you my older sister?''
Sam was stunned, not really sure how to respond to her request. Springtrap and Sammy were also surprised, while Michael just groaned as he remembered the argument they had yesterday.
''Elizabeth, I had already told you that it would be inappropriate to ask Sam that,'' Michael told her. ''You know, there is something called tact.''
''Yeah, and you had plenty of tact to spare whenever you played pranks on Sammy,'' Elizabeth replied snappily. Michael went quiet, albeit still giving her an irritated look, with Elizabeth smiling. ''Besides, Daddy had already said that Sam's like a daughter to him and she was okay with it.''
Springtrap looked rather uncomfortable, not wanting to be dragged into this argument. He had already heard enough complaints from Emma and Henry. Elizabeth, on the other hand, gleefully ignored everyone's reactions.
''Not to mention, she is still a better older sibling than you are,'' she sneered.
''I have to agree with Lizzy here,'' Sammy added, with Michael giving him a bewildered look. He then sighed.
''Why me?'' he muttered.
''Well, if you weren't such a jerk towards me, I would have defended you,'' Sammy replied. Michael glanced at him, a look of regret on his expression.
''You know, guys, I actually don't mind you acting as if you were my siblings,'' Sam said, drawing their attention. She shrugged. ''Considering how I'm an only child, it would be interesting to see whether this relationship is going to work out.''
''Trust me, living with siblings is a nightmare,'' Michael told her.
''Of course it's a nightmare, since we have to live with you,'' Elizabeth told him, with Sammy nodding in agreement.
''You shouldn't be the one to talk,'' Michael told Elizabeth, his eyes narrowing. ''Didn't those animatronics kick you out because you were too bossy?''
''I think that the word you're searching for is 'self-sufficient', dummy,'' Elizabeth replied. Michael snorted.
''No, I don't think so,'' he replied. Elizabeth just glared at him as she heard voices from her past echoing in her head. Despite trying to ignore them, she could still remember the conversation she had with the other animatronics that were part of Ennard.
''You are crowding us.''
''Be quiet.''
''You can't tell us what to do anymore.''
''Yes, I can. You will do everything that I tell you to do.''
''We outnumber you.''
''That doesn't matter, dummy.''
''We found a way to eject you.''
''You would be lost without me.''
''Ha ha! Say goodbye to our friend!''
''I can put myself back together.''
''It doesn't matter, since I was still fine being on my own,'' Elizabeth said, crossing her arms. She smiled. ''Besides, I remember you getting quite scared when you saw me sitting in that room.''
''I hope that you enjoyed the shock therapy, you needed it,'' Michael replied dryly, with Elizabeth suddenly standing up on her seat, slamming her hands on the table.
''You know that it hurt!'' she yelled at him.
''It also hurt when I got scooped, but did I complain?'' Michael replied.
''Actually, you did,'' Elizabeth replied. ''A lot, I might add.''
''Well, who wouldn't?'' Michael continued. ''You carved me out like a pumpkin!''
''I told you that you wouldn't die,'' Elizabeth protested.
''Lizzy, I ended up looking like a decaying corpse!'' Michael snapped. ''I think that death would've been more preferable.''
''Well, you got your wish granted,'' Elizabeth replied, with Michael rolling his eyes. Sam meanwhile glanced at Sammy, who observed the whole argument looking rather unconcerned.
''Do they often argue like this?'' she asked.
''It used to be worse,'' Sammy replied, shrugging. He then added cheerfully, ''Welcome to the Afton family.''
Sam smiled, well aware of the madness she was getting herself into. Nevertheless, she didn't really care and was actually enjoying herself. She glanced at Springtrap who, while listening to the conversation, was staring at the table, looking rather uncomfortable.
''Will?'' He looked up, a bit startled. It didn't help that Sammy, Michael and Elizabeth, who snapped out of their argument, were also staring at him expectantly. ''What's wrong?''
''Honestly, I'm not sure whether I should be happy to be able to talk to you again, or mortified for what I had put you through,'' he admitted dejectedly.
''Try a mix of both, it's less of a headache,'' Elizabeth told him dryly. Michael and Sammy chuckled, while Sam just had an amused look on her expression. Springtrap, on the other hand, looked like he just wanted to disappear.
Despite all of their arguments, when it came to their father, they would waste no time teaming up and turning against him, especially considering how much he deserved it. Nevertheless, despite the awkwardness and tension, the conversation certainly went better than expected. Sam knew that the three could've done much worse, but they kept things, aside from some snide remarks, relatively civil. She glanced at Springtrap and noticing a look of guilt on his expression. She knew that he was regretting what he had done, but it seemed that the really wasn't anything he could do to atone for his past.
''Believe me, I am sorry for what I had put you through,'' Springtrap suddenly said in a more resolute tone, his eyes flaring up purple. Michael, Sammy and Elizabeth didn't look convinced, but decided to hear him out. Sam, on the other hand, was aware that he was completely honest about it his feelings. ''I wish that there was a way to change the past and I understand that you hate me. I know that you don't trust me and that you will never forgive me, and I won't ask you forgiveness.'' He sighed, trying to ignore the anxiety he felt. ''Still, I hoped that our relationship isn't completely unfixable.''
''What?!''
Michael, Sammy and Elizabeth gave him an affronted look, with Springtrap lowering his head, aware that this was the wrong thing to say and he understood why they reacted like this. Nevertheless, he had enough of being silent. He frowned, turning back to them with a determined look on his expression.
''I know that what I'm asking for is something you would never accept, and I don't blame you for refusing,'' he told them. ''After all, I had already lost you forever the moment I decided to put you through all that pain and abuse. Nevertheless, I felt that, if I hadn't said anything, that I would lose you again.''
''What do you mean?'' Michael asked.
''Michael, despite everything, I'm really glad that I was given the chance to talk to you and apologize for what I had done,'' Springtrap replied, then turned to Elizabeth and Sammy. ''I understand that you don't really believe that I want to become a better person, and I don't mind. Honestly, I don't trust myself either and you had already seen why.'' He tilted his head, smiling awkwardly. ''I'm still amazed that you're willing talk to me.''
''Don't worry, Daddy, you aren't the only one who is amazed that we're talking to you,'' Elizabeth said in a snarky tone.
''You know, Dad, you should've thought more about the consequences of your actions,'' Sammy added, glaring at him. ''Although, I guess that it's a good thing that you actually realized just how awful you were, both as a person and as a father.''
''If there's anything I could do to fix this situation-'' Springtrap started, only to get cut off by Michael.
''No, you can't,'' he said curtly, noticing the look of disappointment and regret his father gave him. Michael then exchanged glances with Elizabeth and Sammy, who nodded. ''Nevertheless, if you want to talk to us, we will be here. We had already told you that we'll be staying, hadn't we?''
''Really?'' Springtrap's eyes flared up, with him giving the three a hopeful look. ''Thank you, I-!''
''Don't get ahead of yourself, Father,'' Michael warned him. ''We decided to give you a chance, but if you mess up, we are gone for good and you won't have anyone to blame but yourself for, as you put it, losing us again.''
''I understand,'' Springtrap said. Despite his serious demeanor, he was incredibly relieved and even excited that Michael, Elizabeth and Sammy had actually agreed to give him a chance. He knew that this chance was more than he even deserved. ''I will make sure that you won't regret it.''
''Well, it's not the first time you broke a promise, so we don't expect much from you,'' Michael told him.
''I know,'' Springtrap muttered, resolving to work harder on fixing his relationship with his children. I cannot allow myself to make another mistake. He sighed, leaning back and glancing at the stage, noticing that the animatronics were still staring at them. He frowned.''Seriously, we need to figure out what's wrong with them. Not only do they seem to be self-aware, but are also able to either see you or sense your presence. Not to mention, they've been giving me weird looks as well, as if they don't know that I'm a spirit trapped inside an animatronic suit…''
''If you ask me, you should just leave them alone,'' Michael told him after briefly glancing at the animatronics. ''Every time you get your hands on an animatronic, you end up causing some kind of disaster.''
''I know, but-'' Springtrap said, only to get interrupted by Sam.
''No offense, Mike, but I don't think that we should leave those animatronics alone,'' she said. ''They have no reason to be able to sense or see spirits, since they're not haunted nor injected with remnant. Also, as Will pointed out, they were wary of his presence as well.''
''If you say so,'' Michael said, shrugging. ''At least they're not trying to kill you by stuffing you into a suit.''
''I wouldn't mind if they did that, because at least I'd know what I'm dealing with,'' Sam replied. ''Although, now that I think about it, they weren't the only ones who reacted to a presence of spirit, right Sammy?''
''Um, yeah… Plushtrap had chased me when I visited you yesterday,'' Sammy said, shuddering at the memory. ''He even managed to bite me, but the injuries had vanished.''
''Really? Why didn't you tell me about it?'' Springtrap asked. Sammy gave him an irritated look.
''I had other things on mind, or have you already forgotten about it?'' he said. Springtrap shook his head, feeling sorry for his son.
''Do you want to talk about it?'' Sam asked.
''I don't think that there is really much to talk about,'' Sammy replied. ''When I appeared in that room, I got scared by Nightmare Fredbear and then Plushtrap started to chase me.''
''Okay, but it still shouldn't be possible for Plushtrap to be able to hurt you,'' Springtrap told him, with Sammy shrugging. He wasn't really sure how to explain what happened to him.
''Maybe you being afraid had caused you to accidentally create a replica of the room and invited Plushtrap into it?'' Elizabeth suggested, with everyone giving her confused looks. ''I mean, we know that this works with Sam.''
''Yeah, but unlike Plushtrap, Sam isn't a soulless animatronic,'' Michael told her, only to give his father a suspicious look. ''On the other hand, none of us really know what exactly you had done to those animatronics.''
''Honestly, I don't know either,'' Springtrap admitted, a look of guilt on his expression. ''I shouldn't have ever tried to mess with souls, but it's too late now.''
''Maybe things aren't as complicated as we think,'' Sam said, drawing everyone's attention. ''I mean, Will had also managed to sense Sammy's presence, so Lizzy might be right about her theory.''
''You're right,'' Springtrap nodded, remembering the event. He then frowned, with something about the situation bothering him, even though he wasn't sure what exactly it was. ''However, I don't think that explains everything. There has to be more to it.''
xXx
''I assume that this is it,'' Drawkill Chica muttered as they reached the end of the road, quickly rushing past the last house on the street and into the woods behind it. ''We managed to get through one part of the town and we still haven't found anything.''
''The Boss won't be happy,'' Drawkill Foxy said bitterly, leaning against a tree.
''Honestly, I don't give a damn about him,'' Drawkill Bonnie replied being quite irritated. He crossed his arms. ''This search is pointless.''
''I had tried to argue with Connor about us searching for Afton and his friend wouldn't be efficient and that we should change tactics, but he refused to listen to reason,'' Drawkill Freddy told them, then reached for the communicator that was embedded in the back of his head, confirming that it was turned off and that they had complete privacy. ''Considering how we all agree that our creator has several screws loose and isn't worth trying to reason with, we need to find a way out of this situation.''
''What should we do?'' Drawkill Chica asked him.
''For starters, we need to disable all of the devices Connor had implanted inside us that give him full control over us,'' Drawkill Freddy told her. ''The communication device, the device that disables our AI and messes with our system… All of that needs to go if we want to be free from him. If we go against him now, he's going to fry our CPUs and we'd be unable to do anything against him. Hell, he might as well try to dismantle us and make another animatronic who would blindly obey his commands without the need of a distortion device.''
''How are we supposed to do that?'' Drawkill Bonnie asked as he sat down on the ground. ''Connor did tell us how to program the animatronics at Ricky's to be under his control, but he never told us how to remove those devices that were planted inside us. Obviously, he'd have a good reason for that, but honestly, I don't want to sit here fearing that my handsome self would end up having the functionality of a calculator once Connor decides that doesn't need us anymore. Or, we might just get turned into pieces of scrap metal; I'm not sure which one is worse.''
''Trust me, Bonnie, no one is going to be turned into scrap metal,'' Drawkill Freddy replied. ''Connor may-''
He suddenly cut himself off when he heard the door at the nearby house opening. He and the other Drawkills quickly hid behind the trees and the bushes, quickly closing their eyes so the bright light they was emitting wouldn't give away their position, as it was quite dark. A moment later, Drawkill Freddy, whose eyes were now dimmed, took the chance to briefly glance at the porch, noticing a woman looking around. She had a smartphone in her hand, using the flashlight function as a source of light and was probably searching for them.
Drawkill Freddy heard Drawkill Foxy growling and noticed the latter raising his sickle and creating scraping marks on the wood with his sharp claws, looking ready to lunge at the woman. He shook his head, gesturing to him to calm down, as they couldn't give away their position.
''Sam? Afton?''
They heard the woman suddenly call out and exchanged look of pure shock. However, they remained quiet, listening to the woman going down the steps on the porch and noticing the light being shined into the woods.
''Hello? Sam? Afton? Seriously, this is not funny!''
Drawkill Freddy had to note that the woman sounded quite angry. There was something in her voice, something that gave him the impression that she wasn't someone people would want to annoy.
''I could've sworn I heard someone walking past,'' the woman added, now in a more quiet and cautious tone. A moment later, the light vanished, with Drawkill Freddy looking back, realizing that the woman went back inside the house.
''Have you heard that?'' Drawkill Chica asked.
''Aye, and so did half of the neighborhood,'' Drawkill Foxy replied, with Drawkill Chica smacking him upside the head. His eyes glowed as he glared at her, growling.
''It seems that William Afton and the girl he was with, Sam, live at this house,'' Drawkill Freddy said. ''I mean, the woman did look rather familiar, so it can be assumed that she was either her mother or her older sister.''
''I don't think that it matters who that woman is, but that Afton lives here,'' Drawkill Chica replied. ''We have finally found him!''
''Shhh, keep quiet,'' Drawkill Freddy hissed. ''Do you want her to come out again?''
Drawkill Chica crossed her arms, giving him an annoyed look, but didn't reply. Frankly, she was just happy that their search was finally over.
''So, what are we going to do now?'' Drawkill Foxy asked eagerly. ''I assume that we are going to tell Connor about it. Or, should we go inside and wait for Afton and Sam to arrive? After all, that woman seemed to have been waiting for them.''
''No.''
Drawkill Foxy and Drawkill Chica stared at Drawkill Freddy with dumbfounded looks on their expressions.
''Say, what?''
''What do you mean, no?'' Drawkill Chica grew agitated. ''We've been searching for those two for days and now you're saying that we should do nothing?!''
''Calm down!'' Drawkill Freddy growled in a hushed tone, silencing Drawkill Chica by closing her beak. ''I'm not saying that we won't do anything, but honestly, I don't think that we should tell Connor about what we have found out.''
''Why?'' Drawkill Foxy asked.
''It's a bit complicated to explain, but I'm currently working on something,'' Drawkill Freddy told him. ''Nevertheless, I believe that it would be better if we keep this a secret from Connor, at least for a while.''
''So, does this mean that we are going to continue walking through the town, acting as if we don't know where they are?'' Drawkill Chica groaned when Drawkill Freddy nodded. ''I knew that this was too good to be true. There always has to be a catch.''
''Don't worry, it won't be for too long,'' Drawkill Freddy told her, only for him, Drawkill Chica and Drawkill Foxy to notice Drawkill Bonnie walking towards them, holding a red ribbon in his hand. ''Where have you been?''
''While you were busy arguing, I have found this,'' Drawkill Bonnie said as he held up the ribbon. ''There are more of those, all of them tied to the branches. It seems as if someone used them as markers.''
Drawkill Freddy took the ribbon and then glanced at the porch. He grinned, turning back to his companions.
''I believe that we should let them know that we were here, just to mess with their mind,'' he said, with the other Drawkills giving him a look of approval. ''Let's go.''
One by one, the Drawkills sneaked past the house and on the street, quickly leaving. Drawkill Freddy, however, cautiously stepped towards the porch and tied the ribbon around the guardrail. He then quickly left, hoping that the woman hadn't seen him. A few moments later, he joined the other Drawkills on the open street, with them trying keeping an eye on the other houses, making sure that none of the residents would notice them. Finally, they had managed to find an alleyway that, while not perfect, gave them enough cover.
''So, we really aren't going to tell Connor anything?'' Drawkill Bonnie asked Drawkill Freddy. ''Or have you forgotten what had happened the last time we went back empty-handed?''
''I don't think that we should worry about him,'' Drawkill Freddy told him grimly. ''Connor had already found another victim to occupy him.''

Bro I got so excited when I saw you were doing a second Springtrap fic (freeze or fawn was 👁👁 holy shit bro that first chapter?? That was SOMETHING H O T I have never, ever in my life thought that Springtrap eating someone out could be hot but alas you did it bro) anyways I just read the first chapter of your newest fic and I wanted to say I love your writing and how you portray Springtrap as incredibly dangerous but just the SLIGHTEST bit soft :] cannot wait for the next chapter also pls protect Mike fr the man has SUFFERED enough
can i tell you--that scene is The reason i wrote freeze or fawn, or anything for springtrap/reader, really, i couldn't get it out of my head to the point where i was like, this might be silly and indulgent but if i don't write it i'm going to explode. i was really pleased with that chapter, i'm honestly over the goddang moon to hear that it struck a chord with other people too thank youuu I LOVE GETTING TO WRITE HIM what a GUY that springtrap. like, a dangerous man, made even more dangerous, put into a desperate situation like a pressure cooker full of shrapnel, BUT. he's also spent 30 years in a room alone with the consequences of his misdeeds and come out the other end essentially a monster, and in my mind he's angry and violent and ruthless, but also more eager than he wants to admit for someone to see him as a person, like, to see and acknowledge the human in the suit, which is why he responds so well to the reader in what i've written for him so far. a huge part, for me, of why he shows his face to the reader/makes you touch him in freeze or fawn is cos he knows it'll scare you and he thinks it's funny, sure, but also cos there's a little part of him that hopes you're gonna see it and See Him, y'know? idk he definitely uses it to be manipulative but i think there's a foothold in there too, a sort of potential for getting at that nasty black heart of his. DO NOT WORRY michael is so safe in my hands, at least safer than he is in scott's ahaha. he is everything to me, he's gonna be okay!!!

Hey, So One thing I want to see Movie! Springtrap have is at least some regret for stabbing Vanessa... I mean, I know William is all creepy serial killer who likes dressing up in a bunny suit but it's not like he doesn't care about his daughter.
And I also think that in the FNAF 3 Movie, Vanessa should be the nightguard who works at Fazbear Frights rather than Mike, Abby or some random character they would add because it would be a great parallel to Games! Michael being the theorized protagonist of the FNAF 3 game and it would make that final blow on William a little bit more personal.
What do you think?
Hmm.. These are pretty good suggestions. I’ve been leaning towards FNAF 3 being used for FNAF: The Movie Sequel, so this lines up.
The good news is that some people have spotted this flash of regret William has right after the stab. And, given the last scene we see him in, there might be some form of remorse next time. Maybe.

i’ve decided to ramble a bit about an old fnaf au of mine in the hopes it’ll get me to remember it enough to write it ahaha
okok so it’s called Live or Laugh, and it’s a good ol’ michael posses lolbit au. i’ve seen a lot more of those popping up lately (for example i am currently binge reading laughing at tragedy (so good highly recommend i’m in ch. 6 so far)). thought i’d go ahead and go back to mine to get back into writing fnaf lol-
we’re going to ignore that i made this au (and most of them tbh) to be funky for my weird little multiverse things i write
so basically,, it is 1986. michael is sixteen, and lives with henry after he ran away from william about a week after elizabeth’s death. he gets a weird letter from will on his birthday, blah blah he’s doing sl. that’s what’s happening. this set-up is important. and like,, night four of sl is absolutely atrocious and i literally hacked the game to skip it because no. it’s really hard and if you’ve beat it please give me tips i wanna play night five and the custom nights legitimately but uH mike dies on night four for aforementioned reasons. he dies inside the springlock suit.
now if we ever got clarification on what that suit actually looks like or anything i haven’t seen it and am kindly ignoring it. but uh mike is dead and ends up in a springtrap like situation. he’s a dead dude stuck in the suit that killed him where his corpse still is.
oh yeah the suit is lolbit in this au. i coulda made him anything but yk i had an obsession with lolbit when i made this (stares at lolbit art print that lives on my desk).
henry reports mike as missing the next day, very concerned as a man who is taking care of a child that isn’t even his should be. and then william also goes missing, and he’s just. there. the next year, he decides to work as a night guard at his own restaurant under a fake name so he can see what all the rumors about the night shift are about. he works under the fake name fritz smith for six nights and one day. yeah i swapped jeremy and fritz’s worktime for this,, dw jeremy’s still important but on that day henry uh. becomes the bite of 87 victim in LoL and yk i’m learning a lot about writing brain damage incorrectly through playing jeremy in my motw campaign lol from here henry goes on to investigate the ghosts and pretty much just steals all of mike’s night guard roles.
and uh phone dude finds mike in like. a scrap heap that all the old sl stuff got thrown in after so many years. so lolbit just, shows up at fazbear’s fright on night 3 and henry’s just freaking out because “THERE’S ANOTHER???” and “OH MY GOD THAT’S WILLIAM HE WANTS TO KILL ME-”
yeah i still haven’t thought up how exactly they’re gonna reconnect i’ve got like,, three different scenarios running in my brain ahaha
so that’s like, the set-up of this au.
every time i sit down to write it i can’t decide if i want to start from fnaf 2 or fnaf 3. like the scene that my brain imagined that brought this whole au is in pizzeria sim so 3 would get me there faster, but also it’d be fun to write out henry being like “oh. oh my robots are haunted and want to murder me what is happeninG” so.
and then i’m like. do i write just henry’s pov or like. throw mike in there sometimes for flavor

If someone were to make a FNAF animation to Viva La Vida by Coldplay...
The main character would be William Afton, while he's in UCN, specifically. However, it would mostly be told through memories.
Think about it:
(Intro) - Literally the intro into the video. Name and some credits.
I used to rule the world - (FNAF 1/2) William standing over a couple of bodies, covered in blood, heaving from exertion.
Seas would rise when I gave the word - (Memories) William ordering the Toy Animatronics into production.
Now in the morning I sleep alone - (UCN) William startling awake, sitting in a chair in the FNAF 1 (or 2, or any game) office, the clock blinking 12 AM at him.
Sweep the streets I used to own - (UCN) William using the flashlight, just to have it die on him.
(Mini instrumental) - (UCN) You know in Doctor Strange, there's basically a montage of him being killed in different ways? Some lasting longer than others? Basically that, but William being killed by the animatronics.
I used to roll the dice - (FNAF 1/2) William snickering around the corner from Henry, who's looking for him. William's suits up in the Spring Bonnie suit, head on his hands before he walks away from Henry.
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes - (Memories) Michael cowering under William, fear in his eyes.
Listened as the crowd would sing - (FNAF 1/2) Newspaper articles of Night Guards being attacked and killed.
"Now the old king is dead, long live the king" - (FNAF 1/2) William smirking behind Henry's back as the man is crying at Charlie's funeral.
One minute I held the key - (FNAF 1/2) William holding Spring Bonnie's head.
Next, the walls were closed on me - (Memories) William being spring locked into the suit.
And I discovered that my castles stand - (Memories) William facing his family.
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand - (Memories) William watching his family one by one dying to his creations (or ones that he messed with). Mrs. Afton to Ballora, Elizabeth to Circus Baby, the Crying Child to Fredbear, and Michael to the Scooper.
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing - (UCN) Golden Freddy's hands creeping onto his shoulders.
Roman cavalry choirs are singing - (UCN) Golden Freddy's face lowering into frame.
Be my mirror, my sword, and shield - (Memories) For "my mirror" a still of Michael looking like William, an insane grin stretching across his face as he suits up to kill children by his father's side. For "my sword" a still of Elizabeth in Circus Baby, attacking something William is pointing at, like an attack dog. For "my shield" a still of the Crying Child literally being used as a human shield for William, probably grabbed and held between him and an animatronic.
My missionaries in a foreign field - (UCN) Golden Freddy pushed back by unknown force, Michael, Elizabeth, and the Crying Child appearing between William and the animatronic, however none of them want to be there. It's like they were literally being held in place as they struggle to get free, terror on their faces as William smirks.
For some reason I can't explain - (UCN) The smirk falls from William's face as his children turn to him and take the forms they are, Michael as a living corpse (whether with a bear mask and currently running a pizzeria is up to interpretation), Elizabeth as Scrap Baby, and the Crying Child as a spirit, his head wrapped in bloody bandages with blood trickling into his eyes.
Once you'd gone, there was never - (UCN) The illusions of his children, fading in front of him, leaving him facing Golden Freddy.
Never an honest word - (UCN) Golden Freddy reaching for William, hand outstretched.
And that was when I ruled the world - (UCN) William scrunching his eyes closed, flinching back, preparing to die yet again.
(Instrumental) - (Memories) Flashes and stills of William interacting with his family, his friends (Henry).
It was a wicked and wild wind - (FNAF 3) William waking as Springtrap.
Blew down the doors to let me in - (FNAF 3) Something to do with Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums - (FNAF 3) Springtrap shattering the window to the office, trying to get to the Night Guard who raises his arms in front of his face to protect himself. Note: this Night Guard can be whomever, however, there has to be a moment where the Night Guard flickers between himself and Michael, which triggers Springtrap's anger.
People couldn't believe what I'd become - (FNAF 3) The Phantom Animatronics trying to hurt him, but they can only go through him. Especially the Phantom Puppet.
Revolutionaries wait - (FNAF 3) Golden Freddy, whether itself or as a Phantom, and the Spirit of Vengeance inside, narrowing its eyes while watching the Phantoms from a corner, waiting for their time to strike.
For my head on a silver plate - (FNAF 3) A Phantom tries and fails to literally behead Springtrap.
Just a Puppet on a lonely string - (FNAF 3) The Phantom Puppet shaking in anger, as Springtrap essentially taunts her.
Oh, who would ever wanna be king? - (FNAF 3) Springtrap's arms are thrown wide open, in a "look at me now!" pose.
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing - (FNAF 4) William watching through cameras, watching the Crying Child be tormented by the Nightmare Animatronics.
Roman cavalry choirs are singing - (FNAF 4) The Crying Child's clock goes off, signaling 6 AM, and the Nightmares going away.
Be my mirror, my sword and shield - (FNAF 4) For "my mirror" a still of a looming Nightmare Bonnie. For "my sword" a still of an intimidating Nightmare Fredbear. For "my shield" a still of a crouching Nightmare.
My missionaries in a foreign field - (FNAF 4) The Nightmares roaming William's house.
For some reason I can't explain - (UCN) William blinking back to the present, seeing the outstretched hand of Golden Freddy, however, time is still while he's not. It's kinda like when anime does the "we're in an intense scene but I have to do a monologue so time will stop as I work through this thing that'll give me a breakthrough so I can defeat my enemy".
I know Saint Peter won't call my name - (UCN) The still Golden Freddy switching between, well, Golden Freddy, and Henry wearing his Fredbear suit, smiling at William.
Never an honest word - (UCN) William becoming angry, betrayed by his own mind.
But that was when I ruled the world - (UCN) Time resuming, and William leaping at Golden Freddy, who is taken aback by the sudden aggression. Screen flashes white for a transition.
(Instrumental) - (UCN) William fighting with the animatronics, and losing every time. However, his aggression and anger keep carrying him through it. There are a couple notable scenes where he's carrying an ax.
Hear Jerusalem bells are ringing - (UCN) William slams his ax into a version of Bonnie's head, and then glares up from where he stands.
Roman cavalry choirs are singing - (UCN) The other animatronics are leaping at him, ready to kill.
Be my mirror, my sword and shield - (UCN) For "my mirror" William wrenches his ax out of the Bonnie's head. For "my sword" he swings the ax, the blade taking out an animatronic or two. For "my shield" Mangle leaps at him, and the jaws close around the handle, William's hands gripping either end.
My missionaries in a foreign field - (UCN) He shoves the ax away, losing his weapon but getting Mangle away from him as blood trickles down his face, a snarl on his lips.
For some reason I can't explain - (UCN) The screen flashes white, and we see Old Man Consequences, fishing at a lake.
I know Saint Peter won't call my name - (UCN) Old Man Consequences turns to the camera and waves.
Never an honest word - (UCN) Old Man Consequences' lines are appearing in a text box, the ones where you set all animatronics to 0 and him to 1. I believe it's a long the lines of "Come. Rest your weary soul."
But that was when I ruled the world - (UCN) "Leave the demon to his demons." Fade to white.
(Outro) - Probably credits and "Like and Subscribe".
I don't know, I just think it's a neat idea, and I can't do animations. I'm only a mediocre artist.

Idea! It's well known that Micheal could be mistaken for his father, so much so that the animatronics attack him because of it. So what if he went to the Pizza Plex? Vanessa could have been shown a picture of Afton before he rotted away in the Springtrap suit (let's be honest, Afton would be the type to show off his "glory days") and would know the face of the man who violated her mind and autonomy so thoroughly. So when Micheal steps into one of the meeting for the night guards Vanessa immediately goes into fight, flight, or freeze mode and covers her scar without actually knowing. All she really is perceiving is the past. Of course everyone notices this and the Vanessa Protection Squad squares up and effectively become a wall between her and Micheal. They don't know if it was him or if he knew and did nothing, but they are absolutely not going to let him near their favorite security guard, even if he does end up staying.
I had a lot of fun with this one! It’s a little different (I’m sure that doesn’t really surprise anyone anymore; characters do what they want sometimes) but I really like how it turned out! I probably could have made it even longer, but it’s already toeing the line of full one-shot.
Familiar Faces
Admittedly, he really only had himself to blame for his current situation. Michael rubbed his aching jaw and very carefully didn’t move beyond that.
Now, don’t get him wrong—he didn’t usually break into various Fazbear Entertainment locations so carelessly. The animatronics in this one were safely shut down for the night (one of the few advantages being his father’s son gave him, made all the more ironic that being his father’s son was largely why they needed to be shut down) and the cameras should all be showing nothing but static.
And, before tonight, he’d assumed all the night guards fearfully sequestered themselves in the security office.
Michael hadn’t met one that actually patrolled the building before. Not until two minutes ago, when he turned a corner, nearly ran into a blonde young woman, and had the dubious honor of watching her stern scowl turn into the most terrified look he’d ever seen on a human being. And then she clocked him.
Which left him on the floor, jaw throbbing, and the poor woman apparently having a panic attack from where she was pressed flat against the wall opposite him. Her eyes were wide and blank, seeing something that wasn’t there, and her chest was heaving uselessly.
It—didn’t feel like an intruder should have scared her so badly. She had initially looked 100% ready to chew him out.
“Hey,” Michael said lowly, gently. He had no idea if she could hear him or not, but he’d be a heel if he didn’t at least try to help her. “I’m real sorry I scared you, but I’m not going to hurt you, okay?”
The guard only slumped more heavily against the wall, her legs shaking. She was on the verge of collapse; he wasn’t enough of an idiot to miss that.
Should he try to help? Panic attacks were tricky things, in his experience. Some people needed touch; others couldn’t tolerate it. He shifted, getting ready to stand, but that caught the woman’s attention. A choked, strangled gasp escaped her, eyes locked on him—through him, more like—and her head thunked against the wall as she jerked back to futilely try and put more distance between them.
“Okay, okay,” he said, sitting down all the way again. He showed her his empty palms. “Look, I’m staying over here, see?”
Tears spilled down her cheeks from her unblinking eyes. Michael frowned, guilt aching deep in his chest. He’d never seen someone so perfectly embody the phrase “deer in the headlights.”
He almost missed the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps, only realizing they weren’t alone a split second before someone called out, “Vanessa?”
Michael watched in bewilderment as a child appeared from around the next bend. They ran up with a deeply suspicious glance at him, but the night guard—Vanessa, presumably—was their clear priority.
Honestly, that suited Michael just fine. Something in his brain was short-circuiting at the sight of his dead little brother’s apparent doppelgänger.
This night was not going the way he expected. This should have been a simple in-and-out investigation to make sure his father wasn’t skulking about in the shadows here. Instead, the night guard punched him, he sent said night guard into a panic, and a kid who could’ve been Evan’s identical twin was giving Michael ill-timed flashbacks.
Great. Wonderful. At this rate, the animatronics would all wake up soon and try to pull him limb from limb. Again.
Vanessa cried out in fear when the kid took hold of her wrists, but he only leaned closer and started speaking quietly. Michael didn’t catch much of whatever he said—the date down to the minute was gently recited, along with a reassurance that “it” was over and “she” wasn’t back—only bearing witness to the way the guard finally began to breathe properly again.
“Gregory,” she gasped out. She twisted her wrists free, but only to lightly clutch at the kid.
Her improvement, slight as it was, eased the sour guilt consuming him. Relief left his shoulders sagging.
“Been a while since this happened,” the kid, Gregory, murmured. A weak grin overtook the worry twisting his mouth. He cast an unimpressed glance back at Michael before asking her, in a teasing way, “You get jumpscared or something?”
“Afton,” Vanessa wheezed, finally sliding down to the floor.
Oh, hell.
The kid’s head immediately whipped back around to face Michael. And, hoo boy, here Michael had thought he’d stared death down in the Scooping Room. Nah, nope. That had nothing on the glaring murder in the kid’s eyes.
Okay, so maybe the animatronics weren’t the most dangerous thing in this FE location.
“I can explain!” Michael cried, throwing his hands up and ducking his head. “Holy sh—please don’t kill me!”
“Gimme one good reason not to,” Gregory snarled, standing sentinel before Vanessa. Michael got the impression that if he tried to get to the night guard now, he wouldn’t so much as be able to touch her. “And it better be a good one if it’s gonna outweigh all the reasons to gut you!”
In a sudden, striking moment of prophetic clarity, Michael knew his father was here. Sure, Vanessa’s reaction and use of his last name was a pretty solid indicator, but that paled in comparison to the cosmic revelation he was having.
This kid was his father’s karma. The culmination of every bad thing William Afton had ever done had coalesced into this boy wearing Evan’s face—the first to die to an animatronic, unintentional as his death was, and for as much of a hand Michael himself had had in it—with all of Cassidy’s rage and Charlie’s need to protect.
And if karma truly meant anything in this world, if evil people really did get what was coming to them, then his father had managed to doom himself by hiding away in the one location, out of dozens across the country, where Gregory would be.
His search was over, at long last.
Reeling from his realization, Michael blurted out, “Because you want to kill William Afton!” It was a truth he knew with a certainty he couldn’t fully explain. “And so do I!”
Gregory narrowed his eyes but didn’t lunge to claw his eyes out or something.
“You—you mean,” Vanessa gasped out from behind her furious protector. “You’re not…?”
“No. No, I’m—I’m not him.” The familiar shame of his relation flooded him. “I’m his son. Michael. I—I really am sorry for scaring you.”
A choked laugh burst out of Vanessa, all hysterical. “You poor bast—uh, sucker.”
Gregory rolled his eyes, but his silence spoke of an argument he knew he’d lose. “I guess that’s a decent reason for me to spare you,” he said instead, crossing his arms over his chest. “For now.”
He was nothing at all like Evan, but Michael’s heart ached.
“Thanks, kid.”
They all fell silent for a minute, Gregory eyeing him and Michael trying not to stare too creepily at this living ghost.
“So,” Vanessa started. Her panic had mostly drained away, leaving an exhausted-looking shell of herself behind. “Michael. Mind explaining what you’re doing here?”
It’d been a long time since he told this story to someone. Once more wouldn’t hurt, though, and if he was lucky… this might be the last time he’d ever need to.
