From JC's perspective the last week was also extremely intense and stressful.#It truly was a feat to travel so far so fast despite also being exhausted. Never knowing if it is all in vain.#JC said with his actions 'I would move mountains for you and dig through stone with my bare hands if it meant reaching you.'#and WWX said '[read]'#It's about wwx chronically asking 'why would someone care for me? I'm always tool to be used' than accepting that people love him.

There's something so interesting about these shots to me.
I was just looking through google images - finding inspo whatever- and I came across a few images like this.
What I find interesting is that when they're in the Capitol (and also when Snow gets to 12 in the very beginning) Lucy Gray is almost always "looking up" at Coriolanus.
I guess I would translate that as her "trusting him" because she can look to him for safety or to feel safe.
BUT the moment she catches him in the "three person" lie-- she's suddenly put on "his level" (aka the picture on the right). She is aware to an extent who he is-- what he'll do for power/success/to save himself. She suddenly has this new knowledge of who Coriolanus Snow is-- and she's no longer "looking to him"... she no longer trusts him.
What do you think? Do you see what I mean?

Now I know Tolkien hated allegory. And I know LotR is not a copy-and-paste parable about WWII (which he didn’t fight in) or even WWI (which he did). But the man did see war, and so did people he loved, and he had a non-zero amount of trauma, and some of that is gonna make its way into his writing somehow.
And I think his soul might’ve had something to say about soldiers being forced to walk until they dropped from exhaustion.

#delete later#on like half of the stories i've written on ao3 or more#i don't even get 10% of the viewers leaving kudos on my work and that's just kinda tiring man#we've come so far from the fanfiction.net days where writers solely thrived on comments and private messages to KNOW if their work is well#received by the online people#now you can just press a BUTTON to know that you enjoyed a story and it only takes like half a second!#there are so many people online who are constantly BEGGING everyone to PLEASE comment or review or let them know somehow that you've enjoyed#their work because we get so little feedback often and it is demotivating af#but if you're not gonna comment AT least leave a kudos rather than staying silent and consuming the stories like it's nothing#one thing i loved in the beginning of the ml fandom was how interactive everyone was with fanfics and how it had such a positive status#people were happily reblogging and leaving kudos and commenting LOADS back then#now???? it's literally SILENCE#back when my writing was worse prepandemic i easily got hundreds of kudos in a few days#but now i'm struggling to reach even 200 kudos in three months on my newer oneshots#engagement rate is soooooo bad now and it's demotivating af#i think this is why i prefer to write and send drabbles on discord because people there do respond and react to my works and it gives me the#push to keep going

GE Saeran feels so much guilt, remorse, and shame. I don't know how anyone can gloss over that fact or make light of how he feels about... well, everything. It's his genuine shame over what he did to you and others that should never be forgotten. He did many things that were not okay, and he owns up to it. He always admits what he did and never minces words because if he did, it would be wrong to do so.
He knows that in his journey to becoming healthy, he has to own up to his actions, no matter what they were, because taking that leap of accountability is crucial. That's a part of learning and growing that a lot of people need to recognize. We're all going to hurt people, and it could be intentional, or even unintentional, but if you hurt someone... you need to admit it, apologize, and work to make things right. We're all humans. We are not without fault.
Big mistakes, little mistakes, and whatever else in between... we're all capable of great good, great evil, and great middle ground. If you can learn that... if you can take that to heart, you'll have a breakthrough in your emotional journey to heal.
