that will depend on what you view as crossover. httyd au could be considered a crossover bc toothless and the fury light are literally part of the story??? the one where they are shadowhunters with our lord and saviour Magnus bane making an appearance (and Alec being mentioned). the proposal au? (I wouldn't say Lucifer au is a crossover bc I literally just based myself on the whole idea of celestial beings and whatnot. maybe it's a bible crossover??)

not that I am aware of, and I fucking hope not!!

I've had a request for it, but I'm not sure if the person is still thinking about it or what's going on. it would be an honour!!

YES!!!! THE JUSTLY FIC!!!!!!! I love this fic so much and I love justi so much (debatable, we are in our enemies phase right now so I don't think I can say that in public) and it was SO MUCH FUN and I love writing with friends and I sure want to do it again!!! (friends..... if you want..... you know where to find me...... 😏😏)

definitely piarles. I will sometimes venture myself into other ships (especially if I want to write for a fren and I don't mind that ship)

I don't have any published work that's unfinished bc I keep myself on a very tight leash about wips. if I start posting it, bet that I already have at least half of that story written and the rest is already meticulously planned. I have a few half-finished wips on my docs tho, but if I stop writing it's usually bc it's not bringing me any joy anymore. the nanny x ceo tho.... I stopped that one bc I got a bit depresso espresso at the time and life got busy as shit but I want to finish it so badly.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I ask myself that every day kkkkkkkkkkk I guess the fact that I can write really quickly? like if I have an idea I can just write down a whole 10k in like. 2 or 3 days.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

first of all I can't shut the fuck up. I have to restrain myself when I want to write anything less than 5k. im not sure if it's a weakness per se but yeah.

I also am very aware I have issues with describing the locations and with ending a fic. like. I never fucking know how to.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't mind when it's specific words or the occasional phrase and there's a translation to it. other than that, I won't lie, I kindof despise it. I can't speak, for example, Italian, so what is the point of reading a fic where the whole dialogue is in Italian if I won't understand shit?

19. First fandom you wrote for?

i had THEE most fun writing this one shot LMAO. it was based on a tiktok of all things that i'd found back when i was still on the app pfft. i just loved the idea of bkg being all surly and aggravated that his little human had purposely drawn a salt circle to prevent him from encroaching on their space. and like... him dealing with wanting to idk kiss you so bad but you're trying to teach him a lesson and he's sooooo mad and fuck, he's gonna do whatever he can to get you to comply to him lmao. if i could draw, there's this one scene where you're wearing this like. cute little set of pjs staring up at this big ass demon, wings unfurled threateningly, snarl on his face, arms crossed with a line of salt in between the two of you. like i have a vision. too bad i can't draw it LMFAOO. maybe one day

2. holding out (just for you) — dragon!bkg x reader

in which you find a horrendously injured dragon in a cave and make it your duty to heal him, not knowing that he’s the infamous dragonshifter, bakugo katsuki, who has been cursed to remain trapped in his dragon form forever—unless the spell is broken

this fic... oh boy. i've been working on this fic since mmm 2021 i think? i can't believe it's been a year since the big bang LMFAOO. i also can't blv this shit evolved from being a standalone to having 3 spinoffs and a sequel but well. here we are. complaints aside i really do have fun writing this fic!! i dunno!! i dont think i'd ever read a dragon bkg fic before and i was like fine i'll do it myself and this happened. i added way too much plot and you guys don't even know about half the worldbuilding and shit i have planned for the sequel HAHA. i can't even talk about it bc it would be major spoilers rn rhrsfjhrjfrjrhjg. it's also been giving me such a rough time lately pfft, especially with having to make sure everything lines up for the spinoffs n stuff. im so afraid of publishing ch4 and having to go back and tweak things bc i havent planned out far enough sdkjfsjkdf. i think it just means i'm gonna have to go on a hiatus or smthn and write out all the spinoffs + ch4 at once idk

this is another fic that i've been working on way longer than it's been posted for pfft. i can't blv the first chapter was released over a year ago LMAOOO i am so sorry. i do like this fic tho bc it's one of the easier ones to write and i go back to it sometimes between writing for dragon bkg lol. like i have the chapters all mapped out, all i have to do is sit down and write em. ch2's at abt 3k rn tho and i hit a spot where i'm like oof i dont wanna write these descriptions dfhdkfg it's just a silly goofy story with merbaku and dealing with some of the subtle intricacies of getting to know a mermaid. actually, fun fact, this originally started off as a fic for jotaro from jjba, back when i was in my jjba era. but then i went back to my bkg era and switched it over. i didn't even have to change much LMFAOO jotaro and bkg act the same sometimes. also!! this is the first fic where i'm like... drawing little doodles for each chapter!! and it's so nice but also i'm like damn wtf do i draw for the rest of these chapters.... i'll figure it out ig

4. loving all the parts of you — pro hero!bkg x reader

in which you learn to love all the prickly parts that make up bakugou katsuki

i.. don't think i've thought about this fic for a very, very long time. but i just scrolled thru the masterlist and stuff and i... really liked writing it (when i was focused on it anyways). it's one of my gentler fics tbh. it's more of a character study of bkg, exploring a different aspect of him in each chapter. tbh i need to go through and reread it and make edits so it can better match the writing style i have now, but i rly liked thinking abt what would make bkg tick as a pro and as a person. and tbh, with what i know now of the manga and anime i think i could go very deep with it pfft. also the banner i made for this fic is so cute LOL. it's not high on my priority list rn bc i have other things i wanna work on, but i do hope to return to it one day.

5. forget me not — pro hero!bkg x reader

When you first woke up, you found yourself in a white room, lights blinding you from all directions. A bit disoriented, you squinted and looked around, realizing you were chained to a chair, your arms locked behind you. In front of you was a poster of a man, muscles rippling throughout his body, a spiky mess of ash blond hair nestled on his head, and striking crimson eyes glaring right at you from behind a black mask. In the upper right corner was the name “DYNAMIGHT” in black and orange letters. As you observed the poster, the sound of a P.A. system suddenly rang into existence, the deep, hoarse voice of an unknown person echoing around you. “Your name is [Name] [Surname],” the voice said without emotion, “and you hate the man named Bakugou Katsuki.”

THIS FIC... THIS FCKIN FIC. i have so much i can say about this fic and i am so sorry for the oncoming ramble pfft. firstly, it's both my baby and my number one fucking enemy. like, holy shit i think it gave me the most paralyzing anxiety and bc of this it took me like 3-4 years to finish (apart from being generally busy of course). i started it literally while i was in high school n applying to college, so of course there are aspects of it that i look at now and i'm like mmm don't like that. not to mention there have been so many things that happened in the anime/manga that i wasn't able to add or delve deeper into!! like the war!! bkg's fcking trauma!! midoriya's quirks!! i was an anime only when i first started releasing chapters (and i still am), so i didnt know about the endeavor agency arc or anything so i defaulted to shit with best jeanist and idkidk.

if i could rewrite all of fmn, i think i would. or maybe not all, but a good chunk of it. like i'd condense the first few chapters probably. i also have a different grasp of bkg's characterization now compared to when i was younger lmao. putting bkg in that specific circumstance (iykyk, i wont spoil it) only happened bc of certain outside factors that forced him into that position. which was how i was able to justify it. but... idk. IDK!! this fic had so many things to it that i was not knowledgeable about so i winged a lot of things without doing proper research (i.e. hospitals, police investigations, general bureaucracy and whatnot) and i feel like this has caused certain plot holes that i am not able to detect, but like.... it's been so long already that i'm too lazy to fix it.

i just really wanted to write about having amnesia but... still having this muscle memory and ache of the person you were in love with. that you can fall in love with them all over again. but, jeez, i put the reader through so much that there's so much... trauma and brainwashing and just rhhrhjrkhrhgrkjg. she's a mess and a half!! and this makes it so difficult to read fmn bc she's so frustrating!! but! at the same time idk it was interesting exploring that kind of ptsd and recovery. i think at my core i love writing about truly heartwrenching topics and horror. i rmb i had the most fun writing about reader's nightmares or that one chapter where she was messing around with illusions. actually- one of the things i would change is the reader's fckin quirk and hero name LMAOOOOO what the fuck i made her so op i basically just smashed together dr strange's and wanda's powers for her pfft. i'd also tweak her personality a little, i think.

i digress. anyways. im in the process of editing all of fmn (just like. writing tweaks. changing the phrasing of certain sentences. adding more fluff to descriptions) and i can really see how much my style has evolved lol. like, i am the most happy and proud of the later chapters, where you can really feel certain emotions with bkg and reader. like... the beach scene, or the stakeout scene, or the party scene!! i think i would also add more substance to the investigation and how being a hero is like post-war. the antagonists as well!! there's just so much that could've been built on, but at the same time... i didn't want to go too deep into it bc i was writing an amnesia recovery story.

flaming aside, i am very glad i was able to pull those plot twists successfully LOL. i loved reading people's theories back when i was still updating it, seeing them question things and being like wait a minute... no way... it can't be... it was an era i will never forget pfft. but... because of that expectation i think i was very nervous to reveal specific things or even write the ending bc i didn't know if people would be satisfied lol. fmn was so complicated and for what sdfkjhs. fanfic shouldnt make you this anxious fr and yet there i was. i'm glad im done with it, but at the same time.. i do miss it.

tldr: fmn is the fic that i am the most proud of but also the most insecure LMFAOO. i do eventually want to get to the extra chapters from bkg's pov for it but... idk. i don't wanna even look at it right now sdhfskdfjsf

Hi Hello I actually make things sometimes

I don't know if anyone who follows me is interested in this stuff bc I very rarely post things from my own life, but I decided to be a little more active on here besides reblogging funny shit regarding my current hyperfixation.

So, here is the (incomplete) crafting diary of a neurodivergent trans person surviving christmas with the family and the dark and dreadful times (winter) in general by making shit! with my hands!

First: fiber stuff

I picked up tablet weaving over the last few months of 2023 and made my first pair of somewhat mistake-free shoelaces over the holidays! Only got the pattern completely right on the second try with the red but both laces now get to add a fun little detail to my shoes.

Next I tried a more complicated pattern and experimented a lot, hence the irregular pattern and troubleshooting at the start of the band. I'm now repurposing it as a camera strap and I learned a lot from it tho.

My current setup is basic cardboard tablets (I had to make extra ones so I had enough for the last band with 30 cards), tying the warp to something sturdy like a bookshelf, and sitting down with a backstrap belt on the other side of the room. I used thin wool yarn for this, which stuck to itself quite a lot, but not too much to be unmanagable, and I really like how the finished product feels.

If anyone's interested, I could make a longer post on how I made the shoelaces, I think it's a very beginner friendly project.

I managed to get my hands on a drop spindle and gave that a try, but I ran out of wool after making a very small amount of very chunky yarn and am currently working out where to best get sth local. It was fun tho!

I also finally finished the knitted scarf that has been in my wip pile for... approximately three years? I started it when I was still in school, feels like an eternity ago. It's just a simple (although very long) red wool scarf, but it keeps me nice and warm in this cold, harsh- *checks weather* ...5°C and neverending rain.

Next up: woodworking!

Noodled around with my grandpa's old dremel that we still had lying around, which resulted in this truly terrifying weapon:

Behold! I named it Toothling. It's great for poking friends and family when they least expect it.

This was more of a test run to see if it all still works and to try out doing small scale work with wood, now I gotta think of something fun to make. (I say, as if I didn't already have 50 different ideas)

Before that fuckery, I made this magnetic dice box/rolling tray for my lovely partner's birthday.

Though I don't feel like I can take credit for working the CNC magic on this, I did all the hands-on work with the sanding, assembling the magnets, shellac coating, and whatnot. I'm pretty sure wood is some sort of fruit tree, since it smells strongly of what I suspect might be plum or cherry.

Last but sure as fuck not least: embroidery

This I actually get professional instruction for at uni. I've kinda lost patience for it atm, but mostly because I cannot resist making unnecessarily complicated pieces with tiny little stitches and then am forced to finish it because I do actually kinda need to pass this class. My lecturer keeps telling me not to go so detailed, yet I have proven resistant to her good advice. But, I figured if I have to make two full pieces of embroidery to be graded on and put hours of work into, I might as well choose designs that I can turn into patches for my jacket:

Catha and Ruidus! I love me some big moon little moon imagery. The prompt was to incorporate most of the techniques/stitches we've learned so far. Added the little gold chain stitch around ruidus for the arcane latticework. It came out a little wonky shape wise, but I love it nonetheless.

And my most recent wip, a stained glass window design with the Ninth House skull and Gideon's sword behind it, to feed my current Locked Tomb obsession.

So as you know, I've been working on this wip for 10 months now. So I've been thinking of introducing my characters, this will be updated from times to times if there's a new character or if I just find something interesting about an already existing one.

MCs :

🖌️ - Noe / 21-22 (start-finish) / Gay / He-Him

Noe is one of the mcs. His dad disappeared for (not so) unknown reasons when he was 5 so he doesn't actually know him that much. He studies art in an art school where he met Adam and Devyn. You guessed it, he likes to draw and he also used to play trumpet but just kinda gave up lessons.

In volume 1, we start with his point of view (or pov).

📷 - Madhi / 22 / Bisexual / He-Him

Madhi is also a mc. He lives with his parents and his two sisters in the same city as Noe and Danae. He invites Danae to come to the trip he planned with Noe, which makes sense as her bf. However, there's been some tension between the two and it may not go completely well. He studies journalism and likes to write but it's not really a hobby.

In volume 1, we finish with his point of view (or pov).

🛹 - Danae / 21-22 (start-finish) / Up for interpretation / She-Her

Danae is the third mc. She lives with her parents and her brother, Alec. She doesn't study but it is mentionned once that she works at McDonalds. She spends time skateboarding, roller-skating and she loves trying new ice-cream flavors and drinks. She's kind of the mom friend. She dates Madhi as told above, she was really happy to be invited to the trip, until of course, the discovery of the cult. That discovery btw is indeed "her fault", she knew something was off and she decided to find the truth by looking in the women's office.

She's often called "Dan" for short by her family and Noe, her bf doesn't use that nickname as much.

Deuteragonists :

🦩 - Prescillia / around 18 / Lesbian / She-Her

Prescillia is Madhi's sister, she's the middle child. She wants to become a fashion designer because she loves knitting and she will use her brother as a mannequin for the clothes she made. Her bestie is Sibylle <3.

🎸 - Alec / around 15 / Up for interpretation / He-Him

Alec is Dan's brother. He's in a band with 3 friends, he's the guitarist of that band. They play for little school shows or other small events.

🍭 - Devyn / 22 / Up for interpretation / She-Her

Devyn is the silly person "every" friend group has. She also studies art, digital art to be more precise. Even tho she seems really innocent, there are some secrets about her. She never knew her mother, her dad told her that she went to prison and Devyn just believed it.

She does not make a physical appearance in volume 1 but is mentionned.

🦆 - Adam / 22 / Up for interpretation / He-Him

(Yes I chose the emoji because of the meme and I like ducks)

Adam is another less important mc. Like Noe and Devyn, he studies art, he loves to practise human anatomy and would have probably study sciences if he wasn't so bad at it. When he meets Prescillia, he agrees to be used as a mannequin instead of her brother, making all of them happy.

Adam has actually scrapped informations that will not end up in the books.

He does not make a physical appearance in volume 1 but is mentionned.

Side characters :

Leslie is Prescillia and Madhi's little sister, she's the youngest child and she's so fucking cute.

📚 - Sibylle / around 18 / Up for interpretation / She-Her

Sibylle is a smart girl, she's stated as Prescillia's best friend.

🎤 - Oriane / around 15 / Up for interpretation / She-Her

Oriane is the singer in the same band as Alec. She's in a relationship with another member of the band. She has red and black hair.

🍕 - Martin / around 15 / Up for interpretation / He-Him

Martin is the leader of the band where Alec and Oriane are in. He always has a smile on his face and is really good at helping people. He plays bass probably (I'm not an expert in music sorry)

🔮 - Honorine / around 18 / Up for interpretation / She-Her

Honorine is a member of the cult, she will appear hopefully in every book I write for this wip idea. Don't mess with her because even if she doesn't approve totally what the cult does, she can still kill you. She's very attached to her notebook. (She's more than a side character but doesn't really fit in the deuteragonists)

Cloud is Dan and Alec's cat. She is grey/white and she looks like a cloud.

Dino was Noe's dog but he died when Noe was around 5. He was a barbet.

RARIJACK!!! it was one of my first hardcore ships, and also was my introduction to queer ships!!! renga is a close second, but rarijack just is really important and special to me for sentimental reasons that put it above renga and others! i am also on a seroroki kick right now. it's not my all-time favorite, but the brain rot seems never ending right now lol

GOD SO MANY i have a folder in gdocs just for ninjago fics and there are folders within the folder for different types of wips i'll never finish - i have That many: "no substance", "baby girls", "drafts"... etc...

oh 100% hey, little songbird, give me a song. it's just really special to me and writing it helped me cope with a new tic i had. but one that i wrote more recently is fantasies i'm not sure that i'm worthy of which is a ritsu-centric fic and is prolly tied as my favorite fic i wrote in 2023. the other one would be sun comes streaming through the window (& i can't sleep anymore) which is my 21k word kenji-centric fic lol but that one is like... i'm more proud of it than anything, which is what puts it up there.

Again, busy, so no wip wednesday, although I've written a couple more drabbles for the drabble tree and hope to write one or two more before it ends (seems like it's winding down, I guess!)

It's been fun to do that—trying to write other characters from Oz. I still want to write something for Morales at some point, since he doesn't seem to have really any fics (tho maybe some exist on some of the older sites that I haven't look through completely). I'm stuck just kicking around ideas with him, though.

I've finished 2 of 3 of my Gotcha 4 Gaza prompts and FINALLY came up with something to work on for the 3rd prompt. Deadline is the 14th, so I was really starting to sweat lol, but I think if I keep it short and sweet, I'll manage to get it done with satisfactory quality (really depends on how long I give myself to edit).

I also uncovered my old abandoned rongzhi wips—one that I had originally just shared on google drive back in the day with the outline notes. I'm pretty sure this was a casefic I was working on at the same time that I was writing the first chapters of "Like a Magpie" and "No Greater Calamity"... My fic notes even say "zhirong" instead of rongzhi so you KNOW I started writing it before the fandom even settled on a ship name. It's an outsider POV fic (precursor to "Aiya"), which I love. I sort of want to work on it again, but at the same time, after getting to the end of the current wip (abandoned at 12k :P), I saw how much plot stuff was left to write and immediately remembered why I had abandoned it. I love casefics but at the same time, I don't have much stamina for writing plot...

Speaking of which, I've officially come to terms with the fact that "In the Course of Destiny" is just not going to be a good fic. They can't all be winners, I guess, but the disappointment remains. I think my original idea was a lot tighter, but I got impatient and overestimated my ability to adapt to plot changes and churn it out... Should've finished writing more before posting, but here we are. It's so OOC it makes me want to bash my head into a wall LOL... Which is to say, I'm still working on chapter 3 and will try and make it good but I already recognise that I set it up to be a stinker (although thanks to everyone who has already left kudos, of course). It's just... Agh. What a shame.

small update

Hey I meant to do this earlier! Especially before I started reblogging a bunch of stuff but I already did whoops. Just a few things happened in the last few months like getting a higher salary and trying to stop a dog fight. (Suggestion: Maybe don't do that because I got bit lol I'm fine tho).

For things that will affect reblogs, I definitely just got very into Hazbin Hotel. :) So. Expect a lot of fanart reblogs like I've already been doing. (Please blacklist the tag if you're not into it! I get it!) I have also already written four fics for it in like a month with a new ship obsession, so this has definitely helped my writing productivity. Like insanely. I even got such awesome fanart for my fic (warning: it's suggestive as heck!). The bad news is this has effectively made me pause on all my other WIPs for other fandoms. I see you, Mithos and Lloyd fic... I still want to finish you one day.

For Tales stuff though, I am still planning something for this summer so expect an announcement soon! Because I still love a certain ship always. I will still reblog plenty of Tales/Symphonia stuff.

The Kurt drawing I started a month ago is almost finished so I won't show that as a WIP again lol. But I settled on what I want to draw next already and I am way to hyped by the idea (Cyberpunk/Witcher crossover)

WRITING

I write quite a lot lately (or try to). Manly oc stuff because I managed to get obsessed with Alyona. Welp.

Her character introduction for my AU is halfway finished, but I am overthinking if it got a little to shippy (I didn't intendet that in the beginning but it just happened and I like it hehe). Maybe I make my shippy stuff into something extra and name it after the ship to keep the actual AU "cleaner" bc it's not that important for the plot. I don't know! I can't organzie my stuff!

Here's a preview of the introduction tho. For context: It's a backflash and around 2073, the business in Dtown starts to bloom and she comes for a visit to see what the Colonel came up with (try not to cringe by posting your writing but cringe anyway):

A woman got out of the helicopter after them. Relatively tall, slim, athletically muscular, her short black hair was tousled by the wind, the sides of her skull were shaved short. She wore simple, military-style clothing. Cargo pants, lace-up heavy boots, a tactical leather jacket. Everything was kept in black and dark olive tones. If you didn't know any better, you'd say she was from here and it would be easy for her to blend in with the masses in Dogtown. One detail that made her stand out, was a multitude of thin scars that ran from the lower left side of her face across her nose and up to her forehead. Judging by the degree of healing, it was a very old wound. At least on the outside.

She walked confidently past her people, holding a bottle of clear liquid with an elaborately designed label in her right hand. Probably high-proof alcohol from her home.

After a few steps, however, she stopped abruptly and pushed the aviator glasses she was wearing down a little to look over the rim in disbelief and with a raised eyebrow.

"You look old, Kurt," she said blatantly, examined the man in front of her from top to bottom and continued to walk slowly towards the him, then took her glasses off completely and put them in the inside pocket of her jacket.

"It hasn't been that long since we last saw each other, has it?"

Her English was remarkably good when compared to other representatives from this part of the world who were usually up for business in Dogtown. However, she was unable to mask the slight accents common to the Russian language.

Kurt ignored her little teasing and tried to be professional.

"I'm glad you're here too." He couldn't help but welcome her with a thin smile." And it should be about half a year. The last time was in Laos during the negotiations."

Both slowly came to a halt in front of each other. Jago had followed the Colonel discreetly and kept to the background.

"That was six months ago already. Seems like I did good on suppressing the memories about that terrible place“, she answered shaking her head in disbelief.

"How was the flight?" he added tersely.

"Ah," she made a dismissive hand gesture. "Alright. I am getting used to traveling.“ She showed him the bottle she brought with her. „Here's your favorite. Don't worry, I've got more in the helicopter."

Without further ado, she pressed it into Hansen's hand.

For all the people standing by who were not yet familiar with Alyona and her way of dealing with Kurt, this whole encounter must have seemed incredibly strange. They all only knew him as the undisputed authority figure and nobody, except at most his old brothers in arms, would dare to talk to him like that. And even there were limits.

Alyona finally looked with interest at the man standing behind the Colonel.

„And who is the cute little cat? I don't think we've met yet.“

Jago's features froze completely and he didn't think he had heard correctly.

"The cute little... EXCUSE ME?" he replied with audible outrage in his voice.

🖋️"what inspired you to write your WIPs?"

donut wip was inspired by my frustration at not being able to finish a story, and i thought if i just plotted out an easy, straight to the point, horror novel (cuz whoops donut wip is straight horror p much) that i’d be able to finish it. i wrote like 15 chapters in 2 weeks and then burned myself out when i started a new job in 2021 BUT as i was thinking about it, more and more could i see it fitting into the universe that already existed in jenna the reaper. but… there was no bridge from point a (college horror) to point b (high school supernatural horror literally across the country)

this is where the inspo for noi, alone came in. i’d had noi as a character in some form, for about as many years as i’ve had jenna but i never knew what to DO with them. but it seemed so perfect to make them the bridge between juls and jenna’s stories, even if they must also go through the horrors 😔 them having a demon entity thing in their eye was always a thing so that makes the transition even better (well, worse for them but better for plot)

and then jenna… tbh i never “had” inspiration for jenna. i was literally chilling at my ex’s house in hs when all of a sudden jenna just knocked on the door of my brain like “hey yeah i’m here now.” with all her plot already figured out LMAO. 💀💀 so in case you were wondering she’s always been like this. all i’ve really done is just tweak it and fit it better into the world with the other two wips, and add stuff on etc etc.

mason at the airport sort of came about from me wanting to take a slightly different direction with liminal spaces, like explore different kinds?? so mason’s story, while it’s in the universe it is Slightly different than the rest of them just cuz i wanted to try something new and LESS horrific lmao

honestly for all of these wips it’s just attention span. i enjoy all these stories but sitting down and writing them since 2021 and i burned myself out on donut wip has been a challenge. i’m hoping i can come back around to wanting to write them, but it’s probably gonna be a Long while (cuz i’m projecting in terms of original projects, i’ll write paramour then vampires don’t take road trips and then perhaps after i’ll come back to these)

favorite online fandom memory: this isn’t a “fandom” per se (say? idk) but back in 2020-2021 I used to spend a lot of time on twitch and I got really attached to this one guy and his community. anyways I called a pop tart and a toaster strudel the same thing and got positively annihilated by the chat. twas very funny.

favorite old fandom you wish would drag you back in/have a resurgence: hmmm idk. for the sake of not having the same answer twice I’d say maybe cobra kai. I really miss loving that show and the ship I was attached to had meta that reminds me of sydcarmy. when the engagement was high it was really fun and if people suddenly decided to start caring again I’d go right back.

favorite thing you enjoy that never had an active or big “fandom” but you wish it did: american vandal!!! it’s less that I want it to have a big fandom because really who wants that and more I just wanted to know the show was appreciated, which it wasn’t :(

Since you said it was cool to ask about other WIPs, I'm SUPER curious about The End of Normal now, since the concept/potential dynamic between Brain and Eraqus seems really interesting.

For the ones who haven’t seen my other post. This fic is a part of Nameless AU, which is an AU where Eraqus’ parents die and Brain has to take care of him (which is most definitely an oversimplification of it but that’s the gist).

So The End of Normal is the first chapter. Its where Eraqus finds out his parents died (which is the scene I’m gonna put in this post because I haven’t switched the other parts out of Brain’s perspective yet)

But if you want some Brain and Eraqus dynamic I can explain what it’s like at this point in time for you.

So this was touched on in the Dead Daughter Monologue, but Brain was an absent father in this AU. He sent his daughter (and wife) away because he couldn’t handle being responsible for kids after loosing all the Dandelions in UX (he didn’t completely abandon the two tho, he would pay for things and they were still held in high standing since the Blueblood status and stuff, he just never properly bonded with his kid). It’s because of this that a) Eraqus doesn’t necessarily hold him in high standings and b) Brain and Eraqus would never have never really talked before Eraqus ended up in his custody.

So they’re really awkward, avoidant, and kinda prickly towards eachother at first. Brain is trying his best but never really worked through anything (he doesn’t talk about it. Talk about your trauma Brain. Share with the class. It’ll make you feel better in the long run, I promise), and Eraqus is grieving and around someone who he doesn’t think cares (he’s still trying to keep up that cheery demeanour tho but sometimes it cracks).

And if I’m honest I haven’t actually written them interacting much yet, at least not bonding. Like the ideas are in my notes and I’m like ‘mmmm, yes,’ but I haven’t written them out yet… maybe I should do that next (or I should actually finish a chapter… or both lol)

Anyways here’s a snippet of the chapter

“And if you take into consideration the…”

Eraqus’ eyes were glued to the clock as time passed. And time passed so slowly. Sure, Master Odin was teaching, but if he wanted Eraqus to pay attention he shouldn’t be so monotone and easy to tune out. Especially since it was the last class of the day. Was there anyone here who wasn’t wishing for it to be over already?

“You know, staring at the clock doesn’t make time pass faster,” Bragi, who was sitting next to him, leaned in to whisper directly into his ear. His body shuttered as a chill went down his spine.

With a groan, he peeled his gaze away from the clock, “let me believe it for a second”.

“I did. It’s been several seconds,” His friend said, flashing him an smirk, “If I let you believe it any longer your eyes woul-”

“Shhhhhhh!” Urd spun her head around and held the two of them in a firm glare, “unlike you two, some of us actually care about our education”.

“Hey, it’s not my fault. Bragi’s the one who started the conversation,”

“Ouch, betrayal,” Widened eyes filled with mock hurt landed on Eraqus for a moment. Then, lifting up his hands in surrender, Bragi chuckled, “Alright, alright, my bad”.

“You guys are unbearable,” The grey haired girl said, with a shake of her head and a roll of her eyes. It was delivered like an insult, but the amused smile on her face before she turned away told Eraqus not to take it as one.

It didn’t take long for Eraqus to find himself once again fixated on the clock. The second hand spun in an endless cycle, and he counted each full rotation.

Only 60 minutes left.

Only 59 minutes left.

Only- Bark!

His head snapped in the direction of the door. There stood a small white dog-like spirit with a star on its head and a letter tied to its neck. Eraqus tilted his head. They only used spirits to deliver announcements when they were private…

Or when it had something to do with him.

He watched attentively as Master Odin untied the string holding the letter around the spirit’s neck. The usual question ran through his head. Am I getting picked up early? Could I please be getting picked up early?

The Master unfurled the paper then stood silent for what felt like an eternity as he read it. Come on please. “Eraqus,” Yes! “they want you at the office”. Wait. The office?

Slowly, Eraqus got up out of his chair. If he was dismissed they would’ve said as much, and he could just walk home. But the office? Why would they want him there?

As he was making his way out the door, he could hear Vor, behind him, going, “Oooh, you’re in trouble”.

She meant it as a joke, he knew that, but it certainly made him wonder.

I didn’t do anything wrong did I? He went over the whole day in his head. He didn’t think he did anything wrong.

The spirit led him past several full classrooms. Other students’ eyes burned holes into him as he walked by each open door.

Rumours were going to start spreading like wildfire, he could feel it. Did you hear? The Blueblood got sent to the office. I heard he did this. I heard he did that. That was the price of being the grandson of the great Master Brain, he supposed.

Not like he’d asked for it.

“Hey! Eraqus!” He turned his head to see Bragi running up behind him. His friend caught up but had to pause for a moment, hands on his knees, to catch his breath. With a laugh, Eraqus shot him a look. The redhead tilted his head up, matching that look with one of his own.

“So, the office. You know what’s up with that?” he asked between heavy breaths.

Eraqus shook his head, “No clue”.

“Figured as much,” Bragi shrugged, straightening himself out and starting to make his way forward. “Couldn’t think of anything you’d done worthy of an office visit”.

“Me neither,” he kept pace with his friend. His tone must’ve given his worry away because Bragi kept shooting him concerned looks as they moved. Eraqus decided that it was best to change the subject, “So, how’d you get out of class?”

“Asked to go to the bathroom,” Bragi lit up slightly, eyes glittering with mischief, “if he confronts me about being gone for 30 minutes I’ll politely inform him that he ‘was lucky he didn’t eat the cafeteria food yesterday’”.

A snort escaped Eraqus, “That’s genius”.

“Right? And it works every time,”

The two laughed their way through the rest of the halls and eventually made it to the office.

Eraqus was glad Bragi met up with him. Skipping class to hang out with a friend would make a nicer sounding rumour then ‘he got sent to the office’. He’d have to do some explaining to his parents but other than that, no real damage control would be needed.

Plus, having company certainty helped ease his tensing nerves.

What didn’t help though, was that now that they were outside the office, Bragi stood next to him completely silent.

There was a moment of hesitation before Eraqus broke away from his friend. He flashed Bragi a quick smile. The redhead returned the grin and gave him a, “Good luck”, right before he followed the dog-like creature the rest of the way into the office.

“You sent for-” He watched as the spirit hopped up onto the desk, giving the secretary’s face a lick. And that face looked as though it’d seen a ghost. “…me?”

A woman he didn’t recognize stood next to the secretary’s desk. She held her hands clasped in front of her. Her face was stiff, serious.

A pit formed in his stomach.

“Eraqus,” The woman began, her posture softening slightly.

The secretary pulled the dog-like creature closer to her chest, interrupting the stranger before she could begin to elaborate, “we just heard word from the team your parents were working with on today’s mission. They’ve-” her voice broke, tears forming in the corners of her eyes.

He could feel water pooling in his as well. There weren’t many things she could mean. Not with that reaction.

“There was a battle and they-they didn’t make it. I’m so sorry”.

I can't help but notice the way he's just so full of love and care and I love that in characters, when they face horrible situations but still treat others with love and kindness – bonus if they don't expect it back. HII~! I'm sorry for the delayed response. I just got my laptop charger last night. My dog is a terrorist and likes to eat my chargers when I don't pay attention to her.

That being said, I haven't been writing cause I've been mobile. ;~; I know a lot of people write their fics on their phone but for some reason my brain likes a bigger screen so I can see where I'm going with the story. I go back to read a lot because i have bad memory, and want my prose to read fluidly. *babbling forever* But I have the weekend! So i'll be working on it bit by bit.

I have not started on the prompts you sent me yet but I do want to do that Ace one because I think it would be a quick little short exercise to flex my writing muscles! So I'll be doing that one this weekend while working on the Sanji slow burn.

I love the Zoro one you sent me....because it seems like so much fun LMAO And I love messing with Zoro but that one is going to be LENGTHY. Because...I am obsessed with putting Zoro in difficult situations. So that one will take time too.

I do have a Soulmate AU request for Zoro someone sent that's cuuuute. I may do a lil short thing for that too. So I have many WIPs. I should make a list and put in my pinned post? Idk whoever is interested lol.

i'm honestly proud of everything i wrote this year so this is fucking impossible!!! i guess if i HAD to pick from jatp, i'd pick coping because it was SUCH a massive project and i'm really, really fucking happy that i a. finished it and b. it was everything i wanted it to be. as for stranger things, if i had to limit myself to picking from my completed works then i'd go with both alike in dignity because idk it felt a little out of the box already even tho it was only my third hellcheer fic!

i really hate this question because as i said before I'M PROUD OF EVERYTHING but if i had to go with a "least best" then i guess braiding my boyfriend's hair (boyfriend reveal!) because i definitely struggled with writing this and i think that's why i haven't returned to this verse since. i do want to go back to it bc i do have more ideas, but writing the filming of youtube videos is fucking impossible good lord.

honestly the fact that i fell so goddamn hard for hellcheer really surprised me because i've been watching stranger things since it started and never gave a DAMN about fic until that stupid metalhead was sweet to the cute cheerleader.

i guess maybe somehow figuring out how to balance several wips at once? it surprises me every goddamn day!

i mean, i said last year that i wanted to try some different genres and i think i sort of did that with just try your best (not to get hurt) but i'd really like to push that boundary a little more!

i've met so many wonderful people in the hellcheer community who are so loving and supportive and i'm so, so thankful for all of them 💛

i mean. most of the time when i'm writing Eddie, i feel like i'm just writing a male version of me, so. yeah..

12. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:

i have no new wisdom. only old wisdom: don't compare yourself to other people, it'll only end in pain and frustration. just keep doing what you're doing, try new things, and your writing will grow and improve and you'll be much happier for it.

13. Any new projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year:

GOD I HAVE SO MANY!!! i have SO many ideas that are period pieces and i'm just ITCHING to get to start them!!! but first, i must finish my wips. my poor wips.

Hey, thanks for asking :)

This is gonna be a long ass answer so strap in lol. I’m not done with writing at all, or at least I don’t want to be done. There is still so much I want to say and get out there that I want to share with you guys. I still have so many WIPs and I’d preferably like to finish them before I die lmao even if you have to wait 40 years. Ik I’m kind of on a hiatus rn as far as writing goes (or at least writing for catfish anyway) but actually I am still writing behind the scenes. I do try and add to WIPs and chapters and I’m still having so many ideas. But it’s a long slow process and I just never feel like I can get these WIPs to a good enough standard to post them, or find the motivation/inspiration to finish them. You have no idea how much I’d love to continue Tyrants and the things in my head I have planned for it, but I’m just finding it super difficult and I feel awful for kind of abandoning you guys and abandoning all these projects for months at a time. I mean hell some of my fics haven’t been updated for at least a year. Maybe I need to bring back WIP weekends, if that’s smth you guys would like?

So to answer your first question, no I’m not done and yes I absolutely would love to come back to it when I’m in a better place. I’m also super super busy rn with final exams coming up and I’m starting uni in a few months too so lots of preparation going into that as I’m moving into an entirely new city. I’m just super tired all the time and I really do not write well when I’m tired I have all these thoughts but I get two sentences in and I’m out like a light.

To answer your second question, I truly don’t know tbh my fandoms have changed so much since I started this acc there’s so many people I would have loved/would still love to write for but I feel like obviously I have followers from a specific target audience it’s very hard to move into something else. Like I don’t wanna make people unhappy by writing other stuff yk? Basically I just don’t know what sort of reaction my writing will get (I mean the interaction on my fics are already bad as it is, I dread to think what it would be like if I posted something that appeals to absolutely none of my followers lol).

Ik I said I’d write some Stranger Things stuff and I actually have been! I’ve written a good chunk of the first chapter of a series I wanted to start, but again I just struggle to find inspiration anymore to finish it, but once I do I’m really really excited for people to see it. I’m still really into britpop too and I’m sure some of my mutuals absolutely wouldn’t object if I wrote about damon 😂 but I’ve just never really committed to getting any ideas down in writing yk? But I also kind of wanna move away from rpf sort of only because I find it kind of limiting with what you can do because there’s like an unspoken line you shouldn’t cross yk? Whereas fictional characters can kind of have endless possibilities. Especially ones that have their own universes and rules etc. And ik there’s nothing stopping me from writing AUs cause I’ve done several but idk it’s just not really quite the same. I kind of struggle with making original characters too which is not a handy weakness at all when writing series.

But ya then there’s the part of me that’s like hm I would’ve liked to have done some resdogs stuff, some bullet train stuff cause god knows there’s not enough fics of my fave films out there it would just be purely self indulgent tho.

but I also have like Leon Kennedy brainrot and my mate’s just gotten me on the mf wilbur soot/mcyt hype train which is a whole other can of worms I won’t get into in this post

But obviously I won’t do any of that until I finish all my old WIPs and requests for catfish, inhaler and Sam 💀💀

So basically if I came back it would be more of the same for a while and then suddenly just go completely off the rails. If you made it to the end I admire your patience I hope this wasn’t too boring to read. Love ya <3

SO. I'm kinda sick fr because I actually work at 3 chapters at the same time for different works (I usually have 3 WIP at the same time, rn I only have one posted not counting TPD), is anyone else like this? like wtf selene why LMFAOO

Like, my mind fr be a windmill of just like activity so I'll take a night, write for one work, and then take the other night to work on another. So, right now, I'm working on 3 WIP- two are just not yet posted. I've learned from my mistakes of posting a story without WRITING AT LEAST HALF THE THING FIRST LIKE YEAH SELENE UR GONNA BURN URSELF OUT LMAOOOO. Usually, yes. I write a chapter, check it with my draft and then post it. I've been in that mental flop era so I haven't been consistent- TASTE chap 6 was supposed to come more quick but I was kind of just not in the mental space. Usually, I try to update every week- whatever it is that is in my catalogue of works based on how I'm feeling.

I usually free write with a heavy planned schedule for each chapter. So, for TASTE- I have all the chapter names, all the chapter events and quotes + things I want to focus on in that chapter + how I want to tackle character flaws or even highlight them o wow (so that the growth part is much more satisfying, yk?).

I know it's ready to be posted when I feel that it checks off most of what I want the chapter to conclude and also like now I actually go back and reread my chapter I WAS PLAYING GAMES FR WHEN I FIRST STARTED POSTING LMAOO now I really worry about quality and whether or not people enjoy it? I write long chaps so I get real nervous lmao but I'm anxious in general tho so must be a selene thing.

But yeah- kind of messy of a fanfic writer haahhajbfgjebfeb I'm sorry I just came into this game literally in February. I only read fics and worked on my original works and poetry and shit. I'm learning. BUT U GET ME! 🫶🏻
