if you could leave the facility, Binah would like to go for walks when it snows. it's cold and white and utterly silent, her cloak standing out like a drop of ink against the icy landscape. she doesn't seem chilly- she never does- merely holding your hand as her breath comes out in small puffs. perhaps you have cuts, tiny slivers from hours of work, and she simply watches when a drop of ruby-red blood falls and dots the snow before raising your hand to her mouth and lightly kissing the wound

the sandra lynn / fig conversation is driving me Insane. fig saying that sometimes she doesn’t wanna exist as herself at all…not wanting to ask her friends how they see her (because she’s afraid to hear their response) saying that to someone she is a monster and she Cannot stop thinking about it. sandra lynn starting the conversation saying she needs to step up but is also simultaneously taken aback about what fig expresses and doesn’t know how to responds to it and suggests getting ice cream. sandra lynn saying “convincing people they deserve good things is really tough” talking about herself but how it also reflects fig. insane!!

Hate hate HATE when people try and criticize Sejanus' character for liking Coriolanus. "I can't believe he trusted Coriolanus so much" okay well I can. Coriolanus spent ten years pretending to be Sejanus' friend. He called them brothers. He saved his life in the arena and Sejanus never knew about how he was threatened academically to do it, in his eyes that was an act of goodwill.

Coriolanus is such a skilled charmer and manipulator that even reading the book from HIS POINT OF VIEW, knowing exactly who he is and what he becomes, seeing every nasty, horrible thought that crosses his mind...we still hoped that the love story would have a happy ending. We have SUBSTANTIALLY more knowledge about the inner workings of Coriolanus' mind than Sejanus ever did, and we still thought Coriolanus might be truly capable of doing good once in a while... so what chance did Sejanus have?

tldr: He wasn't some hapless idiot for trusting Coriolanus. He was lured in by the biggest liar liar pants on fire in the entirety of Panem and it's a little hypocritical to blame him for that when we did the same exact thing.

brain is still so scrambled from watching The Legend of Ruby Sunday and Empire of Death in cinemas yesterday but...all i can say is. that felt too easy. far too easy. are we willing to bet that Ruby's story is not entirely over, and when she returns in the next season we will be unearthing that? or am i coping?

I’d never seen this photo before today.

They changed a lot about the material from Twelve, some of which I didn’t take issue with. But this is one thing I wish they would have kept.

With all the delicate interweaving about trust—how important it is to Lucy Gray, how Sejanus trusts Coryo too, how he slowly betrays the both of them—this was an important moment. In the book, it leads into a longer scene of them with the Covey, which they cut, so it’s a different transition—they used it here to simultaneously illustrate A) the threat of the other Peacekeepers to their relationship, and B) the rhetorical power of the woods/lake/nature to alleviate those pressures. But with the book version, after they’ve kissed and sat together for several hours and are heading back, Coryo offers to carry Lucy Gray’s guitar for her. He has a moment of internal monologue where he wonders if she trusts him enough to touch it.

And she does, without skipping a beat.

“Extra intel would be nice,” I say. I scan the library tables around us, and my eyes catch on a cloud of indigo hair. “We should ask Bunce.” Niall’s eyes widen. “What? No. Dev, don’t say any— ” “Hey, Bunce!” I call across three tables, ignoring the ten or so people who glare at me. A few even shush. Cute. Bunce’s face goes red, but she makes no move to respond or walk over. “Bunce,” I call again. This time the head librarian frowns and clears his throat. A prim ahem sound. I roll my eyes. He’s a satyr. His hooves make more noise walking around the stacks than any conversation, shouted or otherwise.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
