Look. I skim through episodes for Ran references. I skip through minutes worth of stuff if I'm confident Ran's not about to change outfit. But I am also only focused on Ran all the time. Which means I'm sorry animator who thought nobody would notice this single second frame of Ran missing her foot. I found it while trying to work out what shoes she was wearing. I was not expecting no feet at all but fair game you caught me out.

started a playthrough as locket's partner from 100 years ago, before eilistraee's fall, and made locket her dream guardian 🥺
bonus pic of locket's first love rothgar, who i made her dream guardian in my most recent save... she met him at the promenade of the dark maiden. he turned to eilistraee + became a paladin after his wife and son were murdered by lolthsworn drow. he died on a mission and it broke locket's heart :(
(side note that most of the eilistraee worshippers at the promenade were drow, but unsurprisingly, locket was drawn to outsiders, so her lovers wound up being a dwarf and a half-orc.)
locket has a TYPE, and it's beefy and gentle btw

I am a little surprised by how little I have heard about the Egwene, Siuan and Leane trio in fandom?
In comparison to the Wonder girls, who spent two books and a half together in total, and a non-negligeable part of that time is fraught with tension, the Salidar trio spent four books together (counting WH and CoT as one) and their close collaboration is more or less what is driving the WT narrative at this point.
I enjoy the chaos brought by the Wonder girls, but I can't help feeling a little cheated I never saw the Salidar trio mentioned as a selling point for the books, because hell yeah a trio of master spies leading a rebellion is actually really compelling to me too.

Not me finally writing out my thoughts on the PJO show and it being 2400 words and counting-
And here I thought waiting a couple of weeks would mean I had less to say. Apparently not

Thinking ab Liu Kang… thinking about a god who thinks he has lived this new life well, has learned the rises and falls of divine existence and knows what to expect, only to remember he is just a boy given too much power when he reaches a present he cannot control. Faces he used to laugh with, people he has seen grown old, different and changed, but so much the same. Events he thought he had avoided repeating themselves, his timeline slipping from underneath him for the first time possibly in millennia. What is a god meant to do when he cannot escape his own mortality, cannot escape the ghosts yet to come, the blood he must prepare to have spilled at his feet? What is a god meant to do when he cannot fathom his own power? When he is still just a boy so scared to be champion, but must now hold the weight of the universe on his shoulders?

Explain what you said on Twitter
assuming that you're talking about when i said that imo the conversations around "scully, you're making this personal" aren't aligned with the intent/impact of the scene (actually i think what i said was that the scene is very serious but y'all never talk about what's serious about it so you loop back around to being unserious) and tbh i can do a post on my own feelings about the scene sometime when i'm feeling more with it if y'all want but i just meant that people bitch about that line every single day talking about how it's hypocritical and how infuriating it is and how much you hate mulder in s6 etc etc but i literally never see anyone even think about like...the actual meaning of the scene and implications of the line and the context and where they're each coming from. it's all just a very shallow and reactionary discussion in my experience
(i ended up talking more in the tags lol i never shut up in the tags)

another delicious plotpoint about the potential of gerrard becoming interim captain of the 118 (if not in charge at a higher level) is that: hen and chim know what it's like to work with the guy, eddie probably knew guys like him in his army days, tommy (still over at 217?) was under garrard the longest.. but buck? buck has only ever known one captain and he found a father in bobby. i think he would struggle the most with working under someone like gerrard, especially hearing the stories from the others, and now with his newfound bisexuality. ravi would also struggle, but ravi has been a minority his whole life whereas buck is new to being on the minority side of things. i don't want gerrard to stick around but i do see the potential for a 3+ episode drama arc.

So I’ve been relistening to the end of season 1 of tsv out of hype for the new trailer drop and I have Hayward thoughts.
Hayward gets this brilliant monologue at the end of the penultimate episode as he laments that more people don’t chain their gods. It’s a monologue about being overworked and grief stricken and angry, but the most incredible part is how much it now sounds like just the beginning of an arc.
Because now, putting those lines in conjunction with the Hayward in the new trailer pleading with society to kill their gods altogether, you can see so clearly the shape his story takes. The shape of this man who starts as a tool of the oppressor in this incredibly complicated world, who starts as a centrist who holds just enough power that he doesn’t know what the big fuss is, and is slowly beaten down by abandonment and horrific circumstances into a true radical asking for an over hall of the entire system. It’s so well done and so beautiful, and I can’t wait to see where we go from here.
