Some dungeon predictions (and things I'd just like to see xD ) for the upcoming arc!

(inspired by boards I've seen in the past. like this! Art from @/linkeduniverse!)

I love Zelda dungeons and LU dungeon crawling fics are some of my favorites! I'm so excited to see what puzzles Jojo's come up with! Nine person puzzles? Let's goOOO!!! There's so many possible interesting things to do with the chain's items and abilities.

I love the fact that the Silvermane Guards are essentially just a very devoted "We Love Gepard Landau" fanclub, and I desperately need for all of them to get into ship wars about it behind their Captain's back. The soldiers are all split into several factions:

Some of them ship him with Sampo 🛡💣 (enemies to lovers/hateship enjoyers; this does not necessarily mean they like Sampo- in fact it's more like most of them want to sic their Captain on him skzjsmdm)

Some of them ship him with Bronya 👑🛡 (knight and princess trope enjoyers and also a sorta-kinda "that is our mom and dad" type of deal; this faction gets riled up and ridiculously hypes Gepard up to Bronya every time she comes down to the frontlines mskdkxmd)

Some of them ship him with the trailblazer 🛡💫 (the smallest and newest faction, but steadily gaining!)

Some of them ship him with Pela ❄🛡 (workplace romance enjoyers; Gepard once charged out into the Fragmentum alone to save Pela from an expedition gone horribly wrong, and when this faction saw Gepard carrying Pela back princess style they threw a whole party)

Some of them ship him with Dunn 🛡🗡 (also workplace romance; Dunn is very flattered by this because yeah wrong Landau, but wow, the troops really think he's good enough to woo the Captain, what an honor)

And some of them ship themselves with the Captain 🛡❤ (yumejoshi enjoyers; this faction throws a massive group effort every Valentine's Day and are also all very supportive of each other)

The final faction is an odd one, because they're defined not by who they ship their beloved Captain Gepard with, but rather by who they don't ship him with. Their name is generally shortened to the A.B.S. Group- Anybody BUT Sampo 🚫💣 DKSZJJSMSOZ

it felt like it had been a while since I wrote any action and since I'd played around with the Dreaming, so I started writing this fic where the Dreaming gets struck by a plague that forces it to follow logic and Dream and Hob have to fight it off 😂

Neither Dream nor Hob are particularly great at accepting logical outcomes so it's basically just shenanigans.

Dream watched him quizzically. And nothing appeared. Ughhh, fine. No swords. Hob still wanted a weapon. “Fine, Hob changed lives too many times to hang onto a sword but always knew the value of self-defense especially after the godforsaken 1600s and now has an illegal Glock 19 hidden under his baseboards,” he said, then reached down, pried up a loose board that was now evident in the floor of the throne room, and picked up the gun. “Do you actually have that?” said Matthew. “Of course I do,” said Hob, “it’s only logical.”

Theory time!

I dove head first back into the Kingdom Hearts rabbit hole. And right now, I am convinced Sora is the next life of the Player character from KHUX.

(I am not sure if a post like this exists already but hear me out!)

So first of all: it is canon, that hearts can decide to be reborn. And we know, that the Player at least has a second life.

In the end They become Xehanorts caregiver and die on Destiny Islands of all places.

But that is not all. In one of the (to me) most exciting sequences of KH3, Sora is being saved by the fallen Keyblade wielders from KHUX on the Keyblade Graveyard.

Those "lights from the past" how Ventus puts it later, are lead by Ephemer.

As great and exciting as it is to see Ephemer again.. why is he there? He didn't fall in this war, nor did he become a dream eater (as far as we know). So how is it possible for Sora to have a connection to Ephemer, strong enough to give him a face and a voice in this vision?

But even though Ephemer didn't die that day, like the others that help Sora in this battle, he was still there in the end. Surrounded by a blinding white light, saving Player.

I just love this! Especially since Union Cross is a lot about how the mind might forget but the heart remembers. So Sora's heart reaching back several lifes, tracing the connection to the person who saved him in this exact same place before.. it would be beautiful.

Oh and something else I stumbled across yesterday.

Lauriam asks Player to keep his sister in their heart. But that promise has no point or consequences. The player never meets Strelitzia if I remember correctly.

But guess who finds her in a different reality 👀😄

Recently got back in the saddle and started playing RDR2 again. Although I keep other horses with him I have such a soft spot for the big ol' raven black shire horse Hosea maybe or maybe not intended for Arthur to sell. I always keep mine and name him "Brutus" inspired by Hosea calling him a big brute and feels he just fits Arthur. A big reliable, rugged horse to carry the weight of the heavier loads just as Arthur carries the weight of caring for and being loyal to his gang to the very bitter end. Plus he's just a badass looking beast of a horse. XD

Ok, listen. I know that there is so much potential for angst in the royal koopa family, and I love what people have done with them! Bowser favoring his only blood son and spurring resentment within the Koopalings. Ludwig and Junior having a rivalry- especially in regards to the throne. All the kids feel neglected because of their dad's emotional blockage and him focusing on taking over the world instead of family, etc. I truly love what people can do with all this royal drama and angst potential!! I want to write novelizations of some of your guys' adaptations of the koopalings + Junior and Bowser!!!

(Long post that's a positive rant incoming/my headcannons of the Koopa Royal Family incoming)

... but after watching the Mario movie, seeing the old Nintendo Power comics, and getting back into Mario, I caN'T HEADCANNON BOWSER BEING A BAD DAD OR THE KOOPA KIDS BEING MISERABLE WITH HIM! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT THE SAME GUY WHO ANNOUNCED TO HIS WHOLE KOOPA ARMY THAT HE WAS GOING TO PROPOSE TO PEACH, THE SAME GUY WHO WROTE A WHOLE ASS LOVE SONG FOR THE PRINCESS, THE SAME GUY WHO PLAYED GOLF WITH MARIO, WOULDN'T SET HIS WHOLE KINGDOM ON FIRE FOR ALL OF HIS BABIES!?!?

Don't get me wrong, he definitely has anger issues, and I believe in MatPats Bowser's backstory theory. I'm certain there have been plenty of instances he messed up as a dad. And having a bunch of kids, sometimes some of them slip his attention- at least the first year or so when he first had them and was learning how to Dad. But I'm telling ya'll, if my Bowser ever heard any one of his kids, from his eldest Ludwig or his only darling daughter Wendy or his baby son Junior, were feeling any sort of bad, he'd be like "Oh Hell no!" And take that child out one-on-one and give them lots of love, lots of assurance, and set fire to any fool who tried to tell him that they aren't really his kid.

One time, Bowser got so mad and roared within Lemmy's presence and made the baby boy cry. To this day, after he's long made up for it, Bowser still feels so guilty and heartbroken that he did that and has vowed himself to never let himself get that angry around his kids again... Unless when it came to Mario because they know in that instance, his fury isn't directed at them.

THIS IS THE SAME GUY WHO, EVEN THOUGH BOWSER JUNIOR DISOBEYED THE SCREEN TIME ALERT IN THAT NINTENDO SWITCH PARENTAL CONTROLS VIDEO, HE HESITATED TO SHUT OFF THE CONSOLE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT HIS SON DEVASTATED!!! And- And we see in Bowsers head, he imagined Junior to be sad and heartbroken! Junior is still a baby, and he's a little spoiled, so more than likely, he would have thrown a tantrum if Bowser had switched the console off. But BOWSER DIDN'T HESITATE NOT BECAUSE OF THE HEADACHE A TANTRUM WOULD CAUSE, BUT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO BREAK HIS SONS HEART! I CAN'T EVEN 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I'll take it this far; you guys wanna know what my headcannon on who is Bowsers' successor? Well, in my headcannon, when he adopted the koopalings and had Junior, he knew it was going to be an issue. And he loved ALL of his kids so much, he didn't want to have to choose between any of them! The rest would hate him and the chosen one! All of his babies would start fighting! So what is a koopa king to do? 🤔🤔🤔 well, as we see in Super Mario Wii and in Super Mario Bros 3, he lets his kids run the world's he takes over! They all have their individual world/kingdom to rule!!! He makes sure that A L L of his kids get to be kings and a queen! Until Mario ruins it all saves the day. If Bowser had his way, the whole world would really be family run instead of just Bowser run.

Again, I must emphasize how much I absolutely ADORE everyone else's depictions of the royal koopa family. One of my favorites is Tyrranux's dark Mario AU that I found on Deviantart years ago, and one of my favorite blogs for the koopalings asktehkoopz shows a much-more-wholesome-but-still-angsty depiction of the family. This post is not AT ALL intended to bring you guys down! This post is to show you guys how weak I am compared to you. I love angst and dark themes, but... I CAN'T do it with the koopa family! They are wholesome and loving while attempting to take over the world in my headcannon 🥺🥺🥺🥺

So, tldr; in my headcannon, outside of invading kingdoms and kidnapping princesses every other week, Bowser is a loving, emotional, a bit goofy, not so great at disciplining his kids unless it's really bad like when Bowser Jr. Turned him into a monster in Bowsers Fury, dad who would blow up his whole kingdom if any of his kids got hurt.

Fate G/O is one of those games where there really is a moment of "I said it is my favorite game, not that it's good" and then you proceed to ramble about the concepts it holds and your own theories in great detail and love. Because on one hand, yeah there is a lot the game could do better with (like some of the racism/whitewashing), but on the other hand... Hektor the Prince of Troy <3 Dr. Romani <3 Da Vinci <3 Mash <3 Guda (GUDA!!!) <3 All the different art styles <3 The lore <3 It's really easy to play and pace yourself in! It has it's really funny and absurd moments but (at least to me) it knows when to be serious! And it's a free game!!!! And it's still being updated!!!

Also what other game, ALL AT ONCE, can you befriend King Gilgamesh? Enkidu? Paris the Prince and Downfall of Troy? Jekyll/Hyde? The literal concept(s) of ROME??? SHAKESPEARE??? THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!!! RAMA AND SITA!!! SHERLOCK FRICKIN HOLMES!!!THE LITERAL KNIGHTS OF THE ROUNDTABLE!!! AHHH!!! (And you can technically fight these characters too!!!) AND MORE!!!! Hell, on Valentine's Day you can even give these characters chocolate!!!

What I'm saying is, nothing is perfect but what is love without it's faults <3

Just finished my first playthrough of BG3. Romanced Lae'zel, but ending up turning into an Illithid because the idea of making Orpheus or Karlach do it didn't sit well with me (or my character).

I told Lae'zel to leave with Orpheus in the end (I heard she wouldn't stay with a ghaik anyway, which she's valid for, but also, it doesn't feel right to ask her to stay when I know how much her people mean to her). And like-

i finished The Inheritance Games last night (which was great fun, i recommend it) and now i'm in my feels cuz it's another series about brothers and their relationship and them against the world, and the Hawthorne brothers remind me so so strongly of the Lynch brothers

but in a way it felt like the comfort to the dreamer trilogy hurt because the Hawthorne brothers TRUST each other, and it ended up highlighting just how much the Lynch brothers don't

how much intimacy and comfort and support they missed out on by having so many secrets and so much bad blood between them

now i'm SAD

the Hawthorne brothers were feeding meeeee with all their dumb brotherly shenanigans and inside jokes and little childhood rituals and all the stuff that i wanted so bad for the Lynches to have, but they just didn't cuz we never got to see them when they were actually getting along with each other

where are their childhood code words? the secret handshakes? the pacts they made and still hold to to this day even though they're super stupid? the inside jokes and embarrassing stories they drag out over and over again?

the were friends once, and the series ends with them friends again, but we never actually get to SEE it 😭
