I think the reason we torture the characters we love so much, is because when we explore those very dark storylines, we're also exploring the darkness within our ourselves. Our pain, our anger. And we choose these beloved, sweet characters because they are the ones we trust the most to go on that journey with.

I'm especially sad about the AI art statement.

No one ever said they can't use AI in general. Nobody said this. As long as they don't let the chats be written by AI they can use it for whatever they want.

Me personally, I'm a little fan of AI in general. ChatGPT took Googles place in many situations for me. It's super easy, super interesting and faster. I use it instead of reading millions of Google sites. (of course I don't trust everything right away, check your sources, lovelies)

But that's not what I want to say.

I saw no one complaining about the usage of AI in general. As long as its not creating the whole game and especially not what the characters say etc.

The critism was about the usage of AI ART, not AI in general, completely missing the point in my eyes.

And yes, they're right. AI became a huge part of our lives now. We find it everywhere and we won't get rid of it again. That won't happen. For me, it's okay as long as it's not used to generate money by letting it write texts and stuff.

And I'm completely fine with them using it. Of course, it's still stealing and I won't deny that, but as I said, we won't get rid of it again.

But the usage of AI generated Art is wrong and should actually be illegal. They, as a small developer studio, they should know and they do know, how it is when your work gets stolen and used by strangers.

And that's exactly what AI does. And that's not okay. It simply isn't. Every generated art is based on hundreds of real arts our there. The smallest artist who posts their work will be a victim of that. Because AI pulls it's knowledge and the ability for art out of every little art source there is. And that's wrong.

And I'm disappointed about their statement with this point.

And the second statement about AI art...

Yes, it's wonderful that you will introduce new actors to us. Great, amazing. And yes, we do remember how it was in Duskwood. And we do remember that actors were introduced after some time. Hannah joined in the last episode, and this was great.

But the huge difference is, you used stock photos. Real photography. Real designs. Created by photographers or whoever. The point here is: Real human. And real work.

I don’t think I'm the only one. But the first second I saw the profile picture of Ash, immediately I was like "Hm, that reminds me straight up of arcane"

Which is logical when you use AI generated art because the AI of course uses at first the most popular references.

Fact is: We don't support the usage of AI Art in Moonvale.

Question is: Why didn't you use stock photos just like you did before?

Everbytes answer: Yes, okay, we can change their profile pictures. (Point done)

And I mean, come on. Violet has a freaking cat as profile picture. Where was the problem with just using a real cat for that? Nothing easier than finding a good picture of cats! 😭

And if you didn't want to use stock photos. Have you seen how many incredibly talented digital artists your fandom has? Have you seen the insanely good work they created for your game?

How about contacting a few of them? How about asking them to draw the characters you wanted to have? I'm 100% sure you wouldn't even have to pay them for. Most of them would do it for free right away.

Plus: Real art created by real people

Plus two: No money spending.

Its a craft that isn't as difficult as making a robot or upgrading a sentry, as all he needs to do is follow the instructions and it's a guaranteed success. So, it calms him down a bit and he gets to have a little snack break :)

So cause of that, he will bake for you!! Pies, Cakes, anything you're craving, he's got it.

• he makes u trinkets all the time. I feel like he's a man with many love languages, Quality time, Acts of service, and Gift Giving. He definitely cherishes you and shows it with the gifts he makes you.

• after a long day, it doesn't matter what your doing or where you are, he will always want to spend the rest of it cuddling you. Man LOVES cuddling.

• he's super corny. not surprising I know. not "writing poems for my love" corny but "making inventions and buying gifts for my love because they mentioned that they wanted it one time a couple days ago" type of corny.

He really appreciates and is thankful for the comfort or effort. it's nice. In his past experiences with genuine relationships, he's had trust issues with new ones... but he's slowly opening up to you.

You'd slowly approach him, "May I..?" He's hesitant, but he nods.

You'd hold his hand and feel his skin for the first time, admiring ever single detail about it like your memorising it. He's watching you the entire time, curiously. You can't see, but he can feel his cheeks heat up when you lean to kiss the back of his hand. Then, making his hand cup your cheek, now its your turn to blush as you can feel his soft palm on your cheek, melting into it.

You look up at him. A love struck expression is now plastered onto your face,

"Pi... you're so gorgeous, baby."

Now, he feels as if his face is on fire. He looks away, fully knowing you can't see his face. You chucke, continuing to admire other parts of his body. The night is calm, ending with you two cuddling for the first time without his suit on, being able to feel his arms and how they trail over your body.

Helloo! I wanted to say that I loved second chances sm, when I found a random chapter last year I read the entire fic in a couple days bc I had to know what happened next, then reread it every now and then while waiting for the updates

I like how we can see both sides of the coin with shadowpeach, how they both care but are still struggling for different yet similar reasons, their struggle with what they went through, dealing with each other's personality traits and habits(their own too) that are still hard to let go of, the glimpses of the consequences of the punishments and their backstory in general

And maybe it's a me thing, but I feel like your Wukong acts like he's a bit aro spec, maybe demi aromantic, and I love that he does, especially while still explicitly loving(and like longing for?) Mac sm

I got that feeling after rereading one of the conversations shadowpeach had in the kitchen when Wukong said something about just wanting to be near Mac, and having him as his best friend was so great kinda like there couldn't possibly be anything better

I know it's probably to show how he grew up, or his personality, and that he's dense (specifically when it comes to reading Mac's feelings towards him) but I feel that just adds to the similarities with the aro experience bc there's a side of the aro community that is blind to more romantic stuff, and romantic-coded gestures or more intimate closeness is just closeness all the same

And your Wukong gives me the impression that he just wanted Mac to be close to him, didn't matter what kind of close, and that he holds the title of "best friend" as a really special thing. Be it BECAUSE of Mac, or maybe since before becoming friends with him, like not just anybody would be his best friend (Also it was maybe to show his trust issues, but still)

I think Wukong said somewhere that he just wanted Mac to be happy to be around him, as happy as SWK was to be around Mac. And I know his inability to put his feelings(love) into words more than referring to a strong or special friendship is probably to show that he's not good with Feelings™, but I like to think that maybe he is enamored in the way a queer platonic love would feel like, so calling it a strong or special friendship kinda does cut it to some degree I think

Also the way Mei (everyone really, but she's more expressive about it, and we see her more than other characters) sees Wukong as a hopeless case, but I think Wukong would see Mac loving him strongly in any way as the best thing ever, as long as it's strong love, he wouldn't mind, love is love, like he just wants to be as special to Mac as Mac is to him

Also I'd love to see them be together even if they don't have the same kind of love for each other, bc the love they have for each other would still be just as strong, and would let them have just as strong of a bond, (in the future, as things are going I have hope, I do hope they end up together in this universe, even if nothing of what I'm saying fits them by the end)

I mean no disrespect to your original idea, or if that's not what u intended, I tried looking through your blog and I haven't found any mention of something similar or headcanons about it

But yeah, idk if u mind ppl putting headcanons on your stories? Some ppl do mind, so idk I just wanted to say that regardless of that hc of mine, I think how you write them is so cool and interesting, and I find that about Wukong really cool even if it's not really where the story is heading and it's been really fun to reread

Duuude!! I fuckin looooveeee that headcanon! Holy shit that's so awesome! Honestly, I didn't even realize I was writing Wukong that way but now that it's been pointed out I can totally see it!

As someone who is kind of on the ace spectrum, I think I may have just subconsciously made it that way. Just like every other author I know, I have a habit of adding my own traumas/ideologies to my stories so I really shouldn't be too surprised LOL

But don't worry! I don't mind people making headcanons about my story~ In fact, that's my favorite part of writing is seeing how people interpret the story and seeing how they formulate it into drawings or headcanons like this! It's so cool!

Initially, my intention was to write Wukong as being oblivious/in denial about his own feelings and in general just bad with feelings. However, I really love your idea too! It's definitely one of those things where Wukong is just happy to be around Macaque. Macaque is "his person", the one he feels happy and comfortable around, the one he feels he can be open and honest around... and yeah I just realized how much that sounds like the beginnings of a queer platonic relationship LMAO

In any case!

I absolutely love your analysis and I 100% agree that Wukong would be okay with Macaque loving him in any way, shape, or form so long as Macaque feels as safe and comfortable and happy as Wukong himself feels when they're together. ❤❤

I actually didn't plan to cram so much into one post, but I got really into reading for a day or two, and then managed to get to the last 50ish pages and said fuck it. I'm not gonna say much except that I didn't expect for it to be that bloody, then at the end got so used to it that I had no other choice to just close the book and think to myself "Well. This happened." I will be writing a concise review as I do with each book I read, but I'm just gonna say I loved it very much. (This is, of course, a big understatement, but yeah... I'll gush about it in my review.) SPOILER WARNING! (Like always.)

Without further ado, my thoughts:

I might have been unbothered by the first two deaths, but I sure as hell am not ok after the end of Act 3. Was all that really necessary?? 😭😭

Yooo that scene when Gideon forces Harrow to siphon from her again is??? Hhhhhh... Made me feel a few things. Here's a graphic rendition:

I'm glad Harrow is banning Gideon from seeing Dulcinea. And the thing she mentions about the keys - she's right, it really doesn't make sense. It stuck out to me before, but I just forgot to comment on it. In any case, it's extremely suspicious. Protesilaus is also probably missing because of a distinct reason, related to his adept. Wouldn't be surprised if the Seventh is the one going around killing people.

Of course Silas turned out to be a little weasel. But at least Colum has some dignity.

Oh yeah, Corona is definitely not a necromancer.

Ok, but why am I not surprised that Harrow is the one who had her fingers in Protesilaus's disappearance? Honestly, she's the second most suspicious person in the mansion, but I love her, so I don't care.

First plot twist I have not expected. At all. I'm shooketh, as one might say.

Oooh, but the big revelation was good! It was just a matter of time, so my reaction was more like "Ah! Finally!", than :O (Future me talking here: I'm not entirely sure what this is referring to? I'd guess it was about the Locked Tomb.)

Stuff just kept happening and people just kept dying. Didn't even get the chance to write it all out, and another one was on the floor. Anyway... WHAT THE FUCK.

Honestly, I thought stuff would get all tangled up and I would lose my footing, as I heard most people do. (Or will, in the next book.) So I'm just glad I could follow along quite nicely. It all made sense in the end, even the stuff about Dulcinea. I wasn't too surprised she's the culprit, I'm just surprised how she's the culprit.

"I can't conceive of a universe without you in it." Again, Muir going straight for the jugular. I know she likes to kill off her characters, but she doesn't need to kill of her readers as well.

Ok, you know what. I knew there would be no happy ending. We all knew Harrow couldn't become Lyctor without Gideon dying. So, I am not surprised it happened. But I am also NOT OKAY.

Man, I love Harrow. I love her in the epilogue. I love her in the last chapter. I love how much she cares, how much she always cared. And I love how her relationship with Gideon evolved over time. Ugh. Uuughhh!

Ok, yeah... This was an experience. I'll be ordering Harrow soon and.... Yeah. I'm (not) prepared for more heartbreak.

I think I wouldn't be here if I didn't have some level of trust with the universe overall. The rest of me is garbage tho lmao. If I'm an otome game character, I'm 100% the beloved and beloathed trash husbando /srs.

About @leftdestiny-posts: I'm not sure I'd ever encounter an internet mutual like them ever again, and I think their appreciation for life and bluntness/straightforwardness is something to be admired. They're traits I don't have. Shiro and I are very very different people, and I'm not sure why there was a miracle that made us meet lol.

About @a-dose-of-phitre and @estellxli: longest friends I have. I really admire their creativity and skill, and if you want me to be honest, I know full well I'm left behind in those departments. If you know me irl, I'm not exactly the most affectionate person so I'd rather keep this part brief haha. Though, a small addition, I admire estella's communication skills and assertiveness a ton and I wish I had a bit more of Phitre's endearing charm and mannerisms (and height-). I'm super stiff lol.

About @navxry: Probably communication skills as well? When we met, they talked continuously. As much as I know I'm an extrovert and thrive off social energy, I think something in me is holding me back to being as vocal as they are. They also seem to have an abundance of energy. Ahh. Youth. /j

About @mixed-kester: i wish i am surviving engineering as much as she has i wanna quit can i quit also how does she pick colors sht is unfair i always have to open up google chrome to— //hjjjj

About @jessamine-rose: she already knows about my fashion sense or lack thereof, so let's talk about something else. I greatly enjoy her writing style because I know it's not something I'd pull off. I wish she sleeps right tho HAHAHA /silly

About @vennnnn-diagram: I probably pestered them too much about how normal people work honestly. I lack social skills so learning about stuff from them makes me feel a bit more knowledgeable without any visible judgement from them. So yeah, add that as one out of two. The second one? Their music skills. I hate learning instruments. I don't know why. I tried plenty. I suck plenty. Everyone in my family are great at playing except me. Shipping when the canon doesn't support it

Yeah, I know the canon doesn't support it.

When I was a kid, I loved horses. Being in a rural area, I was very aware that "canon" real life horses were not the sleek, beautiful, sensitive creatures of my imagination. They were dangerous, smelly, independently-minded, and required a lot of tedious maintenance. There was rarely a profound bond to be had with them. They were their own selves, living their own lives. This did not keep me from devising elaborate fantasies where they were powerful, intelligent, superior creatures, going on adventures and saving one another.

Later, I was into Star Trek. I know that in canon, Kirk and Spock are one of the greatest platonic couples of modern media. They love each other and as the years passed and movies came out, we saw the depth of their friendship. Their trust. How much they were there for each other. But it was never sexual. Canon was never sexual. I am well aware of that. It did not keep me from wide-eyed fascination with Spirk stories. The very idea! So scandalous! So exciting! My mind was awhirl!

NBC's Heroes. Peter and Nathan Petrelli were brothers. I adored how strong their bond was and how open the actors were in showing physical affection. How they were willing to say 'I love you' whole-heartedly on screen. It was also never sexual. (Duh.) There *were* some pretty messed up power dynamics, but they never went as far as the Petrellicest fans took it. I was right there writing with them. Great stuff. Millions of words of fanfic. I was **thrilled**.

I want to reiterate - I, and the other fans of this, were perfectly aware this was a divergence from canon. While we swooned whenever something happened in canon that we could shoe-horn into Petrellicest, we knew what canon was. We knew the characters weren't incestuous. (Duh.) We knew this was a radical change to the familial bonds they had on screen.

Star Wars, Sequel Trilogy. I mean, come on. It's Disney. No one had sex in this. Probably not even Han and Leia. It wouldn't be the first time someone was conceived by the Force. Shipper know this. That's why they so feverishly wrote so much shipping fanfic! It wasn't there in canon. If they wanted to have it, they had to create it. I rewrote The Force Awakens as a 34,000 word series of porn scenes!

The Old Guard. Yeah, I'm super aware that Nile and Booker did not bang in canon. We had one (1) movie. I wrote it anyway. And while I was at it, Andy and Booker banged as well. And while we didn't see any sex between Joe and Nicky in that movie, I have some in my fics. Yay me, right?

The Murderbot Diaries. Yes, I am fully aware that Murderbot's canon representation is sex-repulsed. I have written about 250k words in this fandom, 53 works, of which 43 are not shippy. 4 are shippy, but don't involve Murderbot (Overse/Arada and OCs). 6 involve MB (who continues to have a complicated relationship with relationships in them). That's 11% of my fics. It's not a big deal, guys. It's not even my main thing. I don't see that there's anything wrong with it though, even if I for some reason decided to write 100% MB-shippy stuff.

Anyone out there thinking shippers don't understand that canon doesn't support their takes? We do. We understand entirely. We're over here having a great time imagining what sounds fun to us, riffing off what canon started and taking it in sometimes bizarre new directions. It's not about one particular character, or fandom, or even about fandom itself! (I wasn't shipping those horses when I was a kid, but I sure as heck was doing something transformative from the canon with them.)

I don't know what it's about. I just know I like doing it.

- he's also extremely oblivious - At first you thought it was adorable. Like awww what a cute boy but then... - It gets into the "well come on" zone - People at camp will obviously flirt with him - They also do stuff like flex right at him (while they're sweaty) and pushing their arms together to draw attention to....places - And he doesn't tell them to back off or anything - He doesn't full on flirt with anyone but he's gotta playful personality so it just happens sometimes - It's never his intention but it just enables them! - If you ever bring it up? He'll deny it - They asked for help with their sword posture! - They need to get something from a high up place! - They were just being nice! - You're just jealous and paranoid!

Jason:

- Jason can be a bit...direct - To put it simply - Sometimes it feels like his words cut wounds into you - He doesn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything - But he just doesn't see the point in lying if you can get something out of telling the truth - He personally is always trying to do the best he can - There isn't much room for error in his mind - So he assumes you want the same - I mean yeah. That painting does look pretty bad compared to your other work - The writing in that is sloppy. Everything is phrased weirdly - If you keep holding the sword like that your gonna embarrass yourself - Why are you upset? - He's just saying the truth! - Come on. Don't you want to get better?

Leo:

- Leo is SO insecure. - He's 100% convinced he's not good enough for you. - That you're going to leave him. So he needs constant reassurance. - That isn't bad. You're glad to reassure him. - It's not his fault that he insecure! - But this insecurity turns into ugly jealousy. - You're hanging out with some other  boy? - He knows you're cheating. - He wouldn't blame you. He wouldn't be with him either. - Next time he sees you he tells you no he fully understands why you're cheating on him - So you'll have to be with him for a full day to reassure him you love him and only him - You might not talk to that friend again...

- even after you start dating Leo is a prolific flirt - He would never cheat on you. Gods no. - But he still flirts with most any girl - It makes you uncomfortable? It's just the way he is. - He won't let you in. - Trying to bond with him is pointless. He'll want to know about you. - Tell him anything you want. - He'll insist! - But as soon as you wonder about him he gets upset. - Saying you're pushing him and he'll say what he does and doesn't wan to tell you. - But as soon as you do the same he says you just don't love him anymore

- He doesn't communicate his feelings. You're often left to wonder if he's upset because of something maybe you did? - Or maybe something happened while you were apart? - Don't pry though - He won't tell you anything if you do

- He has a tendency to ignore everything for a bit. Lock himself away. - Ignore everything and everyone. - He never tells you when he's gonna do this. - You're fully understanding though, life can be hard. - They started happening on important dates (birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions) and you didn't mind to much still but did express a bit of hurt. (After it kept happening over and over again) - He only responded with "well what do you want me to do about it?"

Frank:

- we all know Frank has pretty bad self esteem - He'll often say bad stuff about himself - Which leads to you reassuring him none of it is true - Which is fine at first - Everyone needs reassurance! - But it gets to a point that he'll say things like "I'm not as good as (insert friend) you should go and be with them" - Which then leads to you leaving that friend - It happens a lot - You slowly realize you pushed away a lot of people - When you try to stop pushing them away and bring them back in he'll immediately go back to what he's been saying - That he knew you liked them better than him - And you push them away again... - It's a unhealthy cycle

Will:

- Will treats you like a child - You can't do anything for yourself - At first it was cute - Like 'awww my boyfriend is so sweet and caring!' - Then it's 'oh. My boyfriend just thinks I'm completely incapable' - You wanna go climb the lava wall? No! He's told you before it's dangerous! - You wanna go on a walk? Take your weapon just in case. Mischievous duo 1.0. You and ray without a doubt played so many pranks no one can keep count. Add fenrir into the mix and it gets even worse.

Both you and ray are most likely magic users. if you're not a magic user expect him too become like 3 times more protective

Speaking of being protective, Ray cares a lot for the people close to him and could never forgive himself if you ever got injured. So prepare for a very protective brother even if you're older then him. Of course he would tone the protectiveness down for you and wouldn't do anything that limited your freedom.

Most times ray doesn't visit the cats all by himself, you usually tag along. Sharing the same love for cats he does.

Pov: You giving him a huge ass lecture after he tries to go defeat amon all by himself during his route

You 100% read him to sleep when he was younger

Overall a very chill sibling relationship that can very easily turn chaotic

Speaking about rays love for reading you often help ray find new books (which is no easy feat considering the mountains of books he has)

Fenrir Godspeed

Mischievous duo 2.0. Growing up with Fenrir you two caused so much chaos and things got even worse when Fenrir joined the black army and became the ace of spades.

even if you yourself didn't join the black army you're extremely close to everyone else through Fenrir.

If shooting ranges exist in cradle without a doubt you two go there together.

You put tomatoes in his food once knowing he hates them. The result? The silent treatment for the rest of the day and a pouty Fenrir.

Luka Clemence

being the older sibling too luka only meant one thing, you both have to deal with a clingy overprotective older brother (cough cough jonah-)

Like Luka you most likely live in black territory wanting to get away from red territory and the stresses of being in the prestigious Clemence family. Luka probably convinced ray to allow you to stay at black headquarters even if you aren't apart of the army.

cooking buddies without a doubt, you usually help luka make dinner and dessert for the rest of the army.

While luka is usually really reserved he cares for you with all of his heart and will be more open and talkative with you.

The only person who he'll let take care of stone other then him is you. He trusts you with his little furry friend!

Despite being younger then you, luka wants to protect you and will train as hard as he can to do so. So you often have to make sure he takes breaks and make sure he's properly taking care of himself.

Overall a very sweet and trusting sibling relationship, you'll always have eachothers backs.

Though often softspoken and not being the best with words luka will always be there too support you in anyway possible with whatever.

Seth Hyde

Constant clothes shopping? Constant clothes shopping.

In this hc you're the one most likely taking on the burden of the magic tower for you and seths younger sister not only protecting her but also seth. You were most likely the 10 of spades before seth or at least apart of the chosen 13.

Obviously it won't take seth long to find out about the whole magic tower stuff. And his trust with you would probably be ruined for awhile. This without a doubt would be a rocky part of your relationship but eventually you two can sit down and talk about it.

Not focusing on the darker stuff you two defintely do and wash eachothers hair along with doing any makeup or cosmetics.

Unlike the others seth will probably be the least protective as he probably has the most trust in your strength and abilities

Overall a relatively calm/chill sibling relationship despite all the rocky patches along the way.

You two definitely do gardening together

As the eldest children of the Oswald family you both grew up very close with you only being a year or two older then him and gained a large amount of responsibility and maturity as your other siblings were born despite sirius being a brat before they were born.

Sometimes you guys go on picnics in the gardens of the black army or the gardens of the Oswald household.

Feeding and taking care of Chutney is very common so you can take some stress off of the queens shoulders.

Though you don't visit often you're well acquainted with the black army

Overall a very relaxing and calm sibling relationship with a unbreakable bond

helps you collect and edit documents for you to legally have your pronouns, name, and gender changed. he'll have a small notepad of things that you should update after you change your name. on this list is credit cards, drivers license, bank account, passport, so on and so forth.

if anyone uses the wrong pronouns or uses the wrong name, he'll gets very defensive and annoyed quickly. most of the time, its just a misunderstanding and the person is supportive as well, but in the rare cases where its a jerk, you'll practically have to tie him up and drag him away before he beats them up beyond recognition.

in conclusion, he's very very supportive, so can and will fight anyone who isn't. doesn't disrespect your pronouns, identity, or your new name. he loves you no matter what you are, and it really does show.

doesn't really have much of a reaction other than a smile. he doesn't think about you differently, and he sort of got the feeling that you are something like that, so its not a surprise to him.

you were a little sad that he reacted like that, hoping that he wouldn't just ignore what you said and actually acknowledged your pronouns, and he does.

in a slight surprise, he instantly started using they/them for you, and never accidentally used your past ones again. he didn't have much trouble changing, in all honesty.

he doesn't know much about non binary folk other than the basic, common knowledge. he watches some youtubw documentaries and interviews with other nb people, to try and see what you're feeling.

granted, he knows that not every enby person is the same, but he just wants to feel more connected and understanding with you, you are his lover, after all.

is one of those people that show you whenever he finds a non binary person on a tv show, video game, movie or anime. he just looks so happy to show you that you're starting to have representation, that you get happy too.

will help you research for any doctors/hospitals if you ever want any surgeries. also looks up some prices for it, willing to give you a hand with the money needed.

whenever pride month comes along, he'll give you a present at the beginning of the month. its almost always a wearable accesory with your flags on it, but every once in awhile he'll give you a full flag/subtly themed shirt with your identities.

if anyone disrespects you, he'll fight for a small while, before deciding that its a waste of time, and carries both of you away. he'll simply report them to the schools principle and carry on with your guys' lives.

doesn't treat you any differently. it truly doesn't matter to him, as long as you are being you, and you're generally happy, then he couldn't ask for more.

1. Which of your characters have some romantic chemistry?

Terran & Raymond. Constantly want to be closer to each other, constantly prioritizing them, and 100% love each other.

2. Which of your characters do you think readers will ship?

Really hoping it's Raymond & Terran like I think most will because theor relationship gets a lot of slow development and is a central part of the story. That said, I would not be suprised if people shipped Terran & Mika because they have a bit of a rivarly that lifts in favor of being nice/caring about each other, so I think thats a possibility.

3. Which of your characters are slated to be an endgame relationship?

Raymond & Terran. I don't care about spoilers here bc idk it seems pretty obvious. Whether they cooperate however...

4. Are there any established relationships in your WIPs? If so, how did they meet?

Hm. So rn it really focuses on Terran and Raymond, so I haven't developed other relationships that much, and I dont really know how theyve met.

Jodi is dating Rosalie, though other than the fact that Jodi has a gf, Rosalie has not so far been mentioned and rn Jodi is just a plot device.

On top of that, in the past Terran's parents could be called an established couple although theyre dead. This also hasn't come up yet, but theyre Nicholas & Ally, and they were actually a pretty good couple, supportive and pushing each other to be better.

Idk how people met. Terran and Raymond met when Zachary pulled Raymond & Mika intot heor lives after their mom died, manipulating them and burning their house down to keep them under his power, and Terran was already there under his power and resented them at the time.... but thats not that cute huh.

5. What’s your dream love confession scene between your characters?

So ofc course the dream is *passionate declaration* *passionate agreement* *kisses*

But to be a little more specific... first, Terran has to develop a bit and learn to give Raymond more independence without being critical. That's really important for me to happen before anything official, because I think things wouldn't go well if anything happened before that. And Raymond... boy is deep in love. But he also needs to let go of his fears a bit, stand up for himself, and ik there's more but i can't remember rn.

Anyway, once a lil ~character development~ happens, then I can have a confession, I see it most likely that Raymond admits it as explanation, as why he acts the way he does, not even really expecting it to go somewhere. I think Terran will not immediately know his feelings, even then, and hell then probably compartmentalize it bc they have stuff to deal with, and then probably they'll do something sweet and just some action of caring for each other, and the Terran will admit that he doesn't really know much about liking someone or crushes or any of that, it was just kinda something other people did, but maybe he kinda gets it, and after some reflection admit that he wants to be closer, wants to trust him, wants somwone on his side, wants all of that if it's with Raymond. And he also kinda cant believe Raymond likes him that much because he by then will know he didn't treat Raymond that well.

Raymond would initiate anything like a kiss though, at least at first, but I think pretty quickly Terran will be reaching for him, bc Terran's touch- and affection-starved.

I can say all this and then it'll probably play out completely differently when I actually write it. Bc they always suprise me.

 so, in light of recent events, people have been discussing when they think Dean and Cas realized that they were in love with each other. While I 100% believe dean realized in purgatory, I dont think Castiel realized until Dean broke Naomi's connection.

BUT!!!!

I also think that is around the same time Sam realized it too. Obviously Charlie already knew ( " what about Castiel, he seems helpful and..Dreamy" she's a lesbian. That comment wasn't for Her!") I think Charlie was the one to point it out to sam and I think the two of them agreed to keep it to themselves since neither of those two would have been able to handle that information. So, I wrote a little thing about how I think it went down.

I also wanted to give myself an explanation for those wierd looks and mystery note from the end of the episode...so yeah...here's that.

Sam hobbled down the hall to the guest room, his hand still throbbing from knocking Dean unconcious . It was…worrisome, to say the least, that he was having this much trouble with healing from such a minor injury, not to mention the other things that were happening to his body; the fatigue, coughing up blood. Troubling, but, as much as he hated to admit it, worth it. Dean had been pissing him off more than usual lately anyway. It wasn't just the trials. Sure, he was frustrated with Dean for thinking he wasn't strong enough to handle them (he had fought against Lucifer in his own mind for christ's sake) but it was everything else too. His loyalty to Benny still didn't sit right with him. He had been so quick to kill Amy, just because she was a monster. He didn't care that she was just feeding her kid. She was just a monster to him. But for some reason, Benny got a pass. Sure, the guy saved both their asses, he was grateful for that, but even Bobby knew it was wrong.

And then there was Cas.

 

Sam wanted nothing more, than to tell Dean that he should have learned his lesson the first time with the Angel. It wasn't like he didn't like Castiel. Of course he did. He was appreciative of everything the guy had done for them. Dean was right that he had saved their asses more than once. It was just….at the end of the day, whether they liked him or not, Castiel had betrayed them. He understood that perfectly. What he couldn't understand, was why dean was so suprised by him doing it again. Hell, Dean had been the one to bring up that fact that the guy wasn't acting right since he got back and yet, there he was, praying to him, putting his trust in him again. It was maddening, to say the least. He had tried to talk to his brother about it, but Dean immediately shut down.

So, yeah, his hand was still hurting, but it was damn worth it.

He turned the corner to find Charlie stuffing her things into her duffle. He knocked on the door frame with his uninjured hand. "Hey, there."

"Sam." She half smiled, when she turned around, her eyes still a little bleary from crying. "Hi, I'm just…just packing up to head out and…" she sniffled and plopped down on the bed, covering her face as she began crying anew.

Sam walked into the room and pulled up the desk chair, sitting down in front of her. "Dean told me what happened, while you two were under." He said. "I am so sorry about your mom, Charlie." He placed his hand on her shoulder as she began crying harder. "I know how hard it is to let go like that…"

"Dean was right," she sniffed. "I needed to stop holding on."

Sam let out a bitter scoff and pulled his hand back, squeezing both hands between his legs. "Yeah, Dean's always right, isn't he? Too bad he can't follow his own advice."

Charlie looked up, her eyes sad and confused. "Holding on to my mom was the reason I was stuck there. If he hadn't made me let go, I would have died.we both would have."

Sam shook his head at himself, trying his damndest to let go of his own bitterness to be there for his friend. "Ya, I know. I'm sorry…just…I know you're hurting right now, I just want you to know I'm here for you."

Charlie sniffed again, wiping her arm across her face to dry it before leaning back and staring at Sam. "I don't get it." She said, as firmly as possible.

Sam, leaned back and shrugged. "Me neither, really. I always thought all djinn fed off happiness. It's like every time we figure stuff out, something new comes along to throw us off our game."

"Not that." Charlie said, waving his statement off. Sam looked at her, confused, not sure what she was referring to. She took a breath and pulled a book out of her duffle throwing it on Sam's lap. 'Mystery Spot' By Carver Edlund. "You say these books happened in real life. That everything written in them actually went down…but the past two times I've been around you guys��you certainly dont act like you do in the books."

Sam skimmed the first page of the book and chuckled, tossing it back on the bed next to Charlie. "Yeah, well, things have just been different, I guess."

"So, you used to love and support each other, no matter what and now you just, what? Stopped?" She asked.

"It's…" Sam scoffed and shook his head. "things are just, more complicated now…"

"You maybe, wanna elaborate there buddy?" She asked. "I may be a genius, but a mind reader, I am not."

Sam let out a breath and scrubbed a hand through his hair. He figured it might feel better to at least get something off his chest. "To be honest Charlie, I dont think Dean is cut out for the job anymore."

"Why not?"

"His judgment, for one thing." Sam answered. "I don't know, just ever since he got back from purgatory… he's been…it's like he can't think straight anymore. He used to be no nonsense when it came to killing monsters and only trusting people he knew he could trust and now… I mean, I get it. Purgatory was rough on him, but the guy has literally been to Hell and back. I don't see why this time is any different."

"What do you mean?" Charlie asked softly.

"I mean like, being friends with a freaking vamp." Sam answered, coldly. "Yeah, Benny wasn't like the others, and I get the whole 'brother's in arms' aspect, but it still doesn't make sense." He waved his hand, gesturing back at the book before letting it drop. "That Dean? That Dean would have never put his trust in a monster. That Dean wouldn't let people back into his life that had screwed him over, and now…I don't know, now it's like he just doesn't care about letting people in that who could hurt him, or…people who already have."

"So, it's not just about the vampire." Charlie said. "Who else has Dean been trusting that you don't think he should?"

Sam gritted his teeth and shook his head. "Cas really messed him up Charlie. I mean, the guy already turned his back on us once and Dean just let him back into our lives like nothing even happened."

"Ah." Charlie said, with complete understanding. "Okay, I get it now."

"Get what?" Sam asked.

"I get why Dean has been acting wierd, duh." She said, like it was obvious. Sam sat, staring at her, trying to peice together what puzzle she seemed to have completed. "Oh, my God. Do you really not see it?" Charlie laughed.

"Um, no?" Sam said, skeptically.

"Wow," she scoffed. "And here I thought you were the observant one." Sam waited for her to explain herself, still utterly lost on what she was talking about. "It's Castiel." She said, speaking to him as if he were a child.

"What about him?" Sam asked, hoping like hell that she wasn't talking about the angel brainwashing his brother or something.

"I've read the books, Sam." She said. "I know all about Dean's special Angel friend."

"No." Sam shook his head. "No, chuck stopped writing after Dean went to hell. There's no way you could have a read anything about Cas."

Charlie scrunched her face and bobbed her head back and forth. "Mmmm, not exactly." She reached into her bag and pulled put her laptop, turning it on. "Remember how I said the books were online now?" Sam nodded waiting for her to continue. "Okay, dont get mad," she said as she typed "but, he may have kept writing a little bit longer than you thought…."

"He what?!" Sam said, furious. They had told that dick to knock it off after that stupid convention."How long?"

"Relax." She said, scrolling through some page on her screen. "He stopped after you sacrifice yourself to Hell, actually. It was beautifully written by the way, super emotional, but no one has seen or heard from him since."

'Good!' Sam thought to himself. He felt a little bad for that thought, since Kevin was now the prophet it meant that the reason no one had heard from Chuck was likely because he was dead, but at least no one else could know more about their lives than they already did. "Okay, but what does any of this have to do with Dean? Why would Cas be the reason he's acting wierd?"

Charlie sighed, cringing to her self a little. "Well, as you already know, where there's a fandom, there's most likely fanfiction…"

"I'm aware." Sam said, peeved by the memory of stumbling upon the fanfiction written about him and Dean.

"Look, I'm not saying anything is definite, but alot of people who write fanfiction are really good at reading between the lines." She clicked her mouse a few times before closing her laptop and setting it back in her bag. "I mean, I've read all the books myself, and I totally know that you guys are real people and not some fictional characters, and it's completely not okay to speculate on your lives and feelings or whatever...but I mean, it's kinda hard not to see where they're all coming from."

"What are you talking about, Charlie?"

"Dean said that Benny helped him fight through purgatory, right?" She said. "He met him pretty early on in his time there, no?"

"Yeah," Sam said, still completely bemused, "I guess…Dean hasn't really talked a lot about what happened while he was there. He told me some things, but he never really went into detail."

Charlie nodded and shrugged sheepishly before continuing. "Okay, so he met Benny early on, and Benny told him he had a way to get back, right off the bat. So, why did it take them so long to get out of there?"

"Dean said he spent alot of his time searching for Cas." Sam answered.

"Exactly!" She exclaimed, like that should have been the answer.

"I'm sorry Charlie, I still don't understand what you're getting at here."

"Sam, he could've come back at any point after meeting Benny. They only spent as much time as they did together, because Dean wanted to bring Castiel back with him. Even after everything he did. Don't you think that's a little…suspicious?"

"That's exactly what I've been saying!" Sam said. "Why would he do that?!"

"Yeah, Sam, why?" She said, still trying to lead him. "Why would someone run back into a fire, when they have a way out? I mean, I think you, of all people, would know the answer to that."

Sam gaped at her in shock. It took a minute for him to register what she was implying, but once he did… "Charlie, that's…"

"Just a thought!" She defended before he finished. "I'm just saying that Dean doesn't normally put his trust in people. Except, maybe…the people he REALLY cares about and the people that protect them. Maybe there's more to the story when it comes to his trust in Benny than you thought. I definitely feel like there's more when it comes to Castiel."

"Charlie, come on." Sam laughed a little. " You know Dean. He's…"

"More complicated than people give him credit for." Charlie cut him off. "He also knows how hard it is to let go of the people he loves. He's actually really bad at it. Maybe, worse than you know."

"Charlie," Sam started, before being cut off once more.

"He's definitely more concerned about you than you think." Charlie said firmly, standing up as she did. She began packing once more, keeping her eyes averted from Sam's. "He's not trying to control you, you know. He raised you, Sam. You mean alot to him. You ever think for a moment that he's just really scared for you? Scared of losing you? I mean, back to my point, he is really bad at losing people."

Sam sat in silence, petulantly mulling over Charlie's words. She was right, probably. Dean may have been scared, but it was still possible that he just couldn't hack the life anymore. Sam wasn't some child. And the other stuff she was saying…she was way off base. There was a big difference between reading about someone's and living it.

"I sent you the link to the website I used to read the books." Charlie said as she zipped up her bags. She slung her backpack over her shoulder crossing her arms as she stared him down. "I know you lived through it all and everything, but not every part was about you. There's a few things you may have missed."

"Yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen." Sam shook his head.

"Just a suggestion." She shrugged. "It might open your eyes to a few things you don't understand. I get not wanting to relive those times but…if you ever decide that's something you might wanna do, hit me up. I can tell you what chapters to skip, or whatever. And, if your really curious about Dean's relationship to Castiel, 'On the Head of a Pin' is a good place to start. The torture chapters are pretty rough, and I know you'll want to skip over your parts…but the other stuff.…" she shrugged.

"Okay." He said, at a loss for more words than that.

"You ready to roll?" Dean said, from the doorway, knocking on the door frame before entering the room.

"Looks, like it." Charlie smiled up at him as he entered.

"I didn't interrupt anything did I?" Dean asked looking between her and Sam with concern written all over his face. "You guys look a little spooked."

"Ew, gross, no." Charlie said, scrunching her face at Dean's implications. "Sam, was just helping me with my bags. Right Sam?"

"Uh, yeah…" Sam said, standing up and grabbing her duffle off the bed.

"Eh, come on, you know I'm just teasin ya!" Dean chuckled, jabbing her on the shoulder playfully. "He may have the hair, but the body parts are all wrong, right?"

"Definitely." Charlie agreed.

"Come on." Dean said, tilting his head toward the door. He waited for Charlie to leave the room, then cast a skeptical glance at Sam before following after. Sam was sure he was in for an earful after she left. He began dreading it as he said his goodbyes, anticipating the lecture as he told Charlie she was welcome to comeback at anytime. But it wasn't the only thing on his mind now. After bidding Charlie farewell, he went inside, giving the two of them their time alone. He hesitated for a moment, convinced that the trials were seriously messing with his head if he was even considering this. Then again…

He headed to the library, grabbing a peice of paper and a pen on his way and sat down. 'This is just stupid.' He thought to himself as he wrote down the words 'On the Head of a Pin'. He heard the bunker door open. Dean walked up, the look on his face telling Sam that it was time for his ass- chewing, so he decided to cut it off before it could start.

He clicked the pen closed and stood up, ready to defend his actions. "Okay, look you were right. I-I should laid low. I-I know." He said as Dean approached him."I should have hung back. I'm glad I was able.."

Then Dean grabbed him. Then Dean pulled him into a hug. It wasn't at all what he was expecting. He was lost, but relieved and hugged his brother back.

Dean chuckled and patted his back before pulling away. "What do you say we find our prophet?." Dean smiled, before smaking him in the chest and walking away.

Sam was left to himself, completely bewildered by what had just occurred. Dean had certainly not been acting like himself, but this was a whole new level. Maybe there was some truth to Charlie's words? Maybe he really was just scared? Maybe Sam really didn't know everything about his brother. Now, wasn't the time to think about that, though. Dean was right, the had to look for Kevin. They had work to do. Research.

But Dean had to sleep at some point. Maybe Sam could do a little light reading in that time.

If Charlie was right about Dean being scared for him, who knew what else she was right about?
