How you and Kirishima first met was simple:

Two different hands reached out for the last skewer that sat on the hot grill, both stopping in hesitation at the presence of someone else. You both stopped and looked at each other, an awkward laugh coming from you as an equally shy smile graced his lips.

Whatever he was trying to find using his snout appeared to not have been found, and he was once again on the hunt to find the source.

Kirishima proceeds to start sniffing again, this time pulling away to smell somewhere else. You couldn’t help but stare as his behavior was odd, flinching a bit when his nose led to sniffing around you. You tried to stay calm as he got closer, shifting awkwardly as you contemplated the right moment to ask about his demeanor. His breathing seemed a bit ragged too, his chest rising and falling as he avoided contact with you, even visually.

“You’re… in heat.”

If he couldn’t see the blush on your face you could certainly feel it.

Ever read a fic and go "they're so 😭" - that's every single Danny fic to me, aka today's second aotw feature, and god, what an amazingly talented author they are.

I'm so glad you decided to write and grace us with your lovely and bonkers fics, because I cannot imagine the OFMD fic world without your incredible Every Part of You series. I cannot imagine logging into this website without another incredible post from you. Every single thing you write (and do) leaves me in stitches and then, more often than not, you straight up chair your friends with your ultra soft way of writing how much they love each other - in between the much needed elbow fucking. You are such an amazingly kind person - hilarious, supportive, and the best cheerleader 💕 Thank you for answering my questions:

What's your writing process like? Do you start with the beginning or the end? Do you write in order or as the scenes come to you?

I start with a pretty detailed outline because if I don’t go in with a plan, I’ll drop threads and/or write myself in circles. Then I have my outline open on half of my screen while I have a separate doc open on the other half where I’m actually writing. I write in order from beginning to end.

Favourite trope or headcanon you like to explore while writing? (Things like Ed's sweet tooth, Stede's ability to bury his feelings etc)

I have a lot of fun writing angst, so I think any facet of that I can explore is a good time. Weigh them down with insecurities and see how far I can bend them with external factors like plot points, each other, or other characters before they snap. So things like Stede believing he ruins everything he touches, Ed believing he doesn’t deserve fine things, and how they both stand in the way of their own happiness because of these feelings. I also love exploring like, the horrible communication skills Ed and Stede have with each other when it comes to their emotions, and setting up story beats where that intercommunication can break down. Because they’re idiots (affectionate).

Whose voice is easier to write - Ed or Stede? Why?

Ed for sure. I find him very easy to connect with, emotionally. All my favorite characters think they’re unlovable monsters and no, this says NOTHING about me personally, etc etc etc.

Your personal favourite thing you've written that you'd like more people to read

Red Skies at Night! It's modern au, but they're still on a boat! If you like slow burn, bitchy Stede, Ed with a tongue piercing, fun costumes, and a big dash of pining, I def recommend checking it out!! ❤️

What is the one word that you think you use a lot?

The one that comes to mind is ‘blink.’ Kind of a funny one, but to me, it’s such a juicy way to imply so much while saying so little, so I know I use it frequently. Stede asks, “Do you trust me?” and Ed blinks back at him as he tries to work out why that question hits him like a truck (because the answer is a very easy yes). Ed says, “You make me happy,” and Stede blinks back at him in awe (because Stede? Making someone happy? That can’t be true). You get it.

Do you have a beta reader? Have they made you a better writer?

Yes, Beedle (@sleepystede) and Connie (@spirker) have both beta read for me! They’ve helped me tremendously with flow and rewording awkward sentences, and I’ve improved a lot from their feedback. Connie has also been invaluable to bounce ideas off of for new fics and just generally pushing me to be more creative through her never-ending support and big beautiful brain.

Why OFMD 🥹

I loved season 1 when I first watched it, but as soon as I saw the season 2 trailer, something clicked in my brain. Where season 1 was slow burn, will-they-won’t-they, is this real or are they queerbaiting, season 2 was posing itself as very, very clearly queer. Stede is going to get his man. That’s it, that’s the show. Undisguised, unabashed, unapologetic gay yearning and gay romance. There are a million other things I can say, but I think it really all comes down to that. What a gift. No one does it like our show. 💖

ok but Kafka in the firefly animation was kind of funny for some reason. she was also really hot in the animation but Elio definitely told her to be there, so she’s just sitting on a space while waiting for something and she’s just drinking. Speaking of her voice actor, Cheryl texiera was so good on the white night cover. Her belting was amazing. Definitely feeding my headcanons for my university au. In aural class you have to sing notes (from my research) to prove that you can tell the difference or smth, and I just think it’s be funny that reader would be so mad at Kafka for having perfect pitch and having a good voice and generally just being good. I’ll write whenever my actual uni isn’t kicking my ass.

SHE DOES LOOK SO MUCH SOFTER RAHHHHHH. she’s much less intimidating and i love it so bad because we were seeing her without her defenses for the first time + we got to see her full design (it’s my favourite). they took her jacket and contacts/wiped her makeup cause she actually got arrested so they likely needed information like eye color and fingerprints etc, plus she was hiding three grenades, two rifles and a sword like i’d confiscate that stupid ass coat too. i think the funniest part is that she went back for it afterwards 😭

ohhhhh my wooorrrrdddd!

so sorry for this but I need a place to express myself a little. just the absolute turmoil of this week people ughhhhhhhh…. had to weigh two job offers and one was close to home and the other was close to friends and significant other… approximately 10 hr away. my family had to walk me to the ledge and tell me to move today omggg I have no more tears I am finally relaxed. Who knew this would be so stressful? I thought finding a big girl job would be cool and super exciting why am I absolutely dreading everything? Probably bc I chose a career field full of men…. Or maybe it’s just the thought of being 10 hr away. Just ugh def glad that’s all over (sorta maybe kinda) also I have to still send a rejection email to one of them, how does someone do that again? Need to draft that up before Monday….. apartment hunting will be just as bad Ik it 😭

Excited to be close to friends again tho! And the place I’m moving is so pretty and cute but I’m just… sitting in a ball of dread still. If you would have told little me I’d be moving this distance I’d scoff in ur face fr…. I’ll have to say goodbye to some childhood friends for a while too but luckily both r so v busy w school so there won’t be a huge hole where I used to be. I will be back tho I think… a temporary move… of about 4-5 years lol. I guess u only live once tho!

An alter ego not only can it help u become confident and in love with yourself but it can also be helpful while manifesting, I was once scrolling here in tumblr and came across this post I forgot who the blogger was but if you know them give crdts, and I don’t remember the whole post but this line is glued to my head like nail it said “ THINK ABOUT WHAT THE HIGHER VERSION OF YOU ( the alter ego) WOULD DO IN THIS SITUATION”

So let’s say ur manifesting something right?? And u waver for a bit what u do is just think about how would the other you ( alter ego) the master manifestor you do , they would not waver or be worried that their desires would not come because they are the master of manifesting and they control their reality SIMPLE!!!

So what I would advise you to do is create an alter ego if u find manifesting to be a bit challenging and u don’t want to be trying a lot of different methods and challenges, just create the other you the version of u who has their desires and think how they would think because now they already have that beautiful body, the money, the beauty and everything

Six Sentence Sunday

Thanks for the tags @monbons and @you-remind-me-of-the-babe!!

I have two weeks left of school now and I'm so ready to be done and have more time for writing. I was going to write yesterday but instead I made two fan edits, which took the entire day, but was fun! The real reason we need a Carry On movie is so I could make fan edits of them. Imagine them to literally any Hozier song.

I've written maybe 400 words this whole week, but I'll still be posting the next chapter of Proof of Life tomorrow. It's the first one in Simon's POV. Here's a snippet (below the cut for mild spoilers for the first four chapters)

Where is he? Why didn’t he come back to Watford? Doesn’t he know that it’s driving me crazy?

I pull at my hair. He probably is just plotting, I remind myself.

We’ll track our way to Baz and find him taming some giant beast to kill me. Or maybe he’ll be with the Humdrum, and it’ll turn out that Baz has been working with him the whole time.

We’ll find him, and I’ll feel stupid about having ever worried in the first place.

“You were worried about me?” Baz will tease in his usual condescending way. He’ll sneer at me. “You should spend more time being worried for yourself.”

Then he’ll finally snap and drink my blood.

Having a lot of fun posting this fic, but I'm def falling behind in editing. I'll probably have to take a posting break sometime soon. But not yet. I need the serotonin from the comments to get me through finals week.

a/n: I got hella busy and had to heavily slowdown on my requests so this is a headcanon post to make up for it. I’ll be back to posting regularly posting soon just hang in there ‼️

Okay now that that’s over, most of these hcs are modern ones. Enjoy :)

Erwin

This is probably a common headcanon and Erwin definitely makes dad jokes. You can’t do anything around him or else he is definitely going to make a joke out of it some how in someway.

I know a lot of people see Erwin as more as a history teacher guy and don’t get me wrong I do too but I feel like he would need more action. I can see him being a firefighter that rescues cats out of trees or a police officer that has a trained dog by his side

Erwin was definitely right handed and losing his right arm was a very big L. Of course he adapted and in the end he actually is a better lefty then righty. Like his hand writing before was good but now??? Shit looks elegant.

I see him as a romantic. Not like a stereotypical romantic though. Sure he would kiss your knuckles and walk you like the gentleman he is but at the same time he’ll declare to race somewhere out of nowhere and then shove you so he can get a head start.

Going off of that Erwin is a cheater bruh. Not relationship wise but if y’all ever play a game he’s def cheating. I mean he did use his soldiers as pawn for personal gain so it makes sense. NO NOT PLAY BOARD GAMES WITH HIM. He’s either stealing money from the bank while your not looking or either he’s distracting you so you forget it’s your turn.

Levi

I’m pretty sure it’s canon but Levi is amazing with animals. He’s the type of person that could just be minding his own business and suddenly he finds a kitten that is in desperate need of help and clings to him immediately.

Another thing a lot of people probably agree on is that he’s more of a cat person. I can’t see him ever liking dogs because of how ‘messy’ they can be and how much work and training they require. I have both and can agree cats are less work then dogs 💀

He has a soft spot for little kids. As cold and clinical Levi is I genuinely don’t think he has it in him to be upset with like a 5 year old. Sure annoyed because who wouldn’t be but mad? Nah never. There’s an age limit though if your 12 and up your feeling his wrath regardless.

This is another common headcanon and it’s that Levi runs a tea shop. Okay cool but Imma put my own twist. He runs a tea shop and bakery that connect. Like let’s be fr I know this man knows how to cook. He’s literally so good at anything else why would he not be able to cook? So if he ever opened a tea shop just know there would be a bakery right beside it.

If there was a line of work I could see Levi in it would be the FBI or federal government type of stuff. That or he would be a private investigator. All his skills work out for either and I feel like he would be on of the best in the business. No question about it at all.

Hanji

Hanji has broken several pairs of their glasses. They never break them like a normal person either- What do you mean you dropped them in a enclosure at the zoo? You shattered them from one of your experiments? Do I even wanna know why they are split in two? Yea they constantly break them.

Hanji is an animal person and literally has the most outrageous pets. They have a wolf dog just because they have the space and time for one. The have caracals that live in their house with their own space. They totally have capybaras and prairie dogs too. It’s practically a zoo at their house.

I feel like Hanji is one of those people that just had bad luck. They have no clue what they did to upset the universe but things only happen to them. Say they’re having a nice outing with Levi and Erwin and it starts to rain. They all pull out their umbrellas. Why is Hanji’s the only that breaks.

Hanji is 100% an adrenaline junky. Like they would go skydiving and swim with sharks for fun. It’s something about the rush that makes them so excited and they love having that feeling. It’s not odd at all for Hanji to come back and tell everyone a wild and crazy story

It sounds plain to say if Hanji had a job they would be a scientist. So instead I think they would be a biomedical engineer. Imagine them making fake organs to save people. Or they would go into the field of prosthetics. I just think that they would want to be in a field that includes medicine and helps people.

aethergarde academy dr | school program

date: july 10, 2024

uh so essentially I’ll be uploading assignments you’d receive in Aethergarde Academy (my dragon rider dr, hehe) and grading them.

Everyone will receive some sort of feedback on their work, even if you’re late!

What will the assignments be about?

- dragon care

- safety protocol

- aura analysis

- Eudora Empire history

- dragon rider history

- potion tests

- battle strategy analysis

- and much more!

(I def didn’t copy that from the last post, idk what you’re talking abt)

Each month will be separated into units!! The first unit will include stuff that you’ve seen in the script, like recruitment tests and basic safety protocols. Ikkkk super boring, but it’ll get far more interesting soon!

Assignments will be posted on tumblr, I’ll brush up my master list so it’ll be easier to find things! Tomorrow I’ll post more specifics about where things should be submitted. Please do not submit your work in the comments section.

This program will not last forever.

I will take assignments after the last assignment is posted until a certain date. After that, you cannot turn assignments in. I think I’ll try to make sure everyone can view the assignment, but I’m not going to grade it.

Depending on how many students I’ll get, I might be able to award students the positions outlined in the script (first class, co-captain, and captain).

Depending on how many people still do the assignments until the last unit + final exam, I may prolong the school program.

For now, I’m not sure how invested people are in this DR, I know a lot of people are, but hmmmm it might not be enough for a second year? I’m not sure.

First assignment will be posted on July 12th. Assignments will be posted every Friday and Wednesday.

Note that July 12th may be like July 13th for you depending on your time zone. I’m on a trip rn and I’m literally across the world from my home country, so the day could change from 1 day after to the expected day.

Fox’s new case has introduced you to a new colleague, a woman who you’ve watched from afar before, Agent Brenda Wilson. There’s something about her you are unsure of, call it intuition or call it your ability to overthink most things in your life. Around the building, day to day, you never really see her. You don’t say hi if you do, you don’t know her and she doesn’t know you. You’re sure she’s never noticed you and you hope that she never does. That is, until, Scully gets assigned to a case that takes her away and Agent Wilson has to step in for additional support for the X Files. Mulder is trying to keep on Skinner’s good side so despite being certain that he does not need a glorified babysitter; he stays quiet about Wilson's brief transfer to the basement.

Each day this week when you’ve gone down to drop off his post-lunch coffee, she’s been there, perched on his desk. She eyes you as soon as you enter the artificially lit room and you feel tiny. It's as if she's a predator and your prey, innocently meandering into the Lion's den with a Starbucks for you and your boyfriend. You try and swallow down whatever disgusting jealous feeling is rising in your throat as you slide his coffee across the desk to him.

Apart from stilted greetings, she never really speaks to you but she must know about you and Fox; that’s what you reason. There’s nothing malicious happening, especially on the side of Fox, who has told you at length how there is no one else for him but you.

“You know, Agent” she maintains her eye contact with you for longer than she ever has, “I’m starting to feel a bit left out! You never bring a coffee down for me. I have to watch this guy drink his coffee and there’s nothing for me.” Her giggle fills the room which is otherwise full of awkward energy.

“This guy,” she reaches her hand across the desk to touch Fox’s clenched fist, “always offers to go and get me one in the morning. Isn’t he a sweetheart?”. You swear you see the dark glint cross her eyes, you swear you see her eyebrow cock slightly and you swear; you see red.

“Actually, I just came to steal this sweetheart from you for 2 minutes. Fox- I need to speak to you outside” You chirp, trying to stop yourself from physically shaking from pure anger and adrenaline. Fox knows the smile plastered across your face is fake, he has to bite his cheek from the inside to stop himself outwardly laughing. He nods politely at Wilson as he walks over to you, just before you both leave her sight; you interlink his hand with yours.

Before he gets chance to speak, you push your lips against his and your tongue runs against his lower lip. He opens his mouth languidly as your noses bump against each other. Your hands slide down his back as his move up to your face to hold it.

You don’t know how long it’s been, you feel hazy from the touch of his lips, the taste of his tongue, and the feel of his strong hands holding your hips. As he pulls away, you move to press tender kisses to his neck; he stifles a moan at the contact.

“You better not be jealous of her”. You feel his nails begin to dig into your hips, “she’s nothing compared to you.” He brings his face close to yours, a quick peck to your lips, and smiles as he takes in your dazed eyes. He loves kissing you, it's as if you get drunk off the feeling of his lips and he always wants more.

“I’ll show you tonight, okay?” You nod as you listen to him, attempting to wipe your gloss off his lips with your fingers, “I think I need to remind you how much I love you.” He holds your hand as he presses your fingers to his lips, “I’ll spend all night proving it if I have to”.
