For those of you who wanted my epic Mickey rambles
this started out about 3-2 years ago as sketches and drawings of characters I thought that deserved to be in wasteland. I have acquired a whole bunch of characters since then, couple of which derive from concepts and have personalized designs. I had also wrote what would essentially be my personal take on an epic Mickey three, seeing as how I thought the franchise was dead and I wanted to expand it on my own. I thought it would be fun to share this little story seeing as how there’s a small resurgence and I was probably going to do it anyway because I really like these characters of mine. But to do that your going to need a lot of context so here we go-
Yensid created wasteland as a place for forgotten creations under the Disney property to stay and live. When the thinner disaster happened that plan was ruined, thusly wasteland itself was left in shambles and could no longer do what it was made for
But what does this mean/do?
Well
And wasteland stayed in that broken state, left to rot, up until the first game, where an outside force (Mickey, it’s Mickey) screws around with it again. Wasteland starts to heal, at this scene and time right here
Nothing happens right away, or at least to the characters’ knowledge, and Epic Mickey 2 happens.
Then 11 years pass. Mickey during this time has become distant, and Oswald has been living with his family to the fullest and rebuilding, even beginning deconstruction on Mickeyjunk mountain. Nothing much has changed, or at least it hasn’t up until a year ago, when blotlings reappeared (I have a reason I swear-). Not only that.
New faces have been popping up, without anywhere to live, and in droves.
The Thinner ocean is slowly becoming decontaminated. And without much of a warning.
Wonderland rises up from the thinner.

So, I was looking into deep pressure stimulation (DPS) and pressure stimming and I came across a website from which I took this screenshot:
I noticed that in the fandom (fanart and fanfics alike) Raph is the one that administers these tight hugs when Donnie needs them, and I am all for it. I love to think Donnie goes to him and asks directly for DPS when they are in the Lair and off mission.
However, I noticed that in the series Mikey is the one that constantly looks out for Donnies sensory needs. Whenever the softshell is shown to be in the middle of a stressful or high-stakes situation, and Mikey is within reach, the box turtle is the one that gives these tight hugs.
At the top of my head I have just a couple of examples, but I am sure there's more in the show:
In Smart Lair, when they rescue Donnie from S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N., Leo and Raph jump immediately into action, while Mikey instantly goes to hug him instead:
In the movie, too, when they are in the subway and about to get crushed by the Krang inside of the Turtle Tank, Mikey is hugging a crying Donnie:
I like to think this shows that Mikey is the most attentive when it comes to Donnie's emotional state (as established in Breaking Purple) and needs both when on and off missions.
Thank you for coming to my brief TED talk.

My friend: Man, recently I’ve noticed there’s been a whole bunch of bands and music artists that have turned to jazz-fusion
Me whose favourite band has been gradually doing that exact thing:
(We then had a half hour long discussion about it while they waited for their ride)
