pov you’ve just reread the yi city arc… except that clearly wasn’t ENOUGH because of course your analysis brain had to take over and search for parallels, so you have to go and reread and save the most depressing WWX scenes right after…

so. in light of recent news, I’m logging on here so I can delete what i have written for cwilbur - I was already debating on leaving it up or not anyway - and I’ll be changing my username once I figure out a new one. I know this hasn’t blog been focused on his characters for literal years, but I figure it’d be best to let y’all know - especially considering the username change.

I will probably continue to be inactive for the next month at least, but will be active for the next few days trying to edit things here, if anyone wants to talk through asks or DM’s. I hope you all are doing well, and I hope Shelby continues to receive the support she deserves.

#I work at a firm w seven (well. six.) partners #so they are all technically my bosses but I rlly only do work for two /maybe/ four of them #i was hired under the guise of being my one boss’ like. protege.#as in when he retires I’ll take over his practice. and also he’s so busy that i could help some of that now.#his area of practice is like. so complex and huge that it isn’t something u learn in months. maybe not even years.#but atp what happens is he meets directly w the clients and then i do literally everything else.#which is fine. except for two things.#1) he has now started joking about how he’s going to be ‘the face’ of it while i do everything #which wouldn’t bother me so much if he was Paying Me For It.#bc 2) he’s only allocating HALF. my hourly rate for those type of clients #I spend. idk prob 70% of my billable hours on his clients. and he’s only allocating half my hourly for them.#and im just like. I would like to see the stoats do stuff #i am so in love with Ava and her player and I understand so much more about brennan lee mulligan now. and VIOLA #viola may be my favourite character I’m obsessed with how she interacts with other characters.m #i NEED to know what’s up with thorn’s cult thing. and also thorn. what is going on there #hrrgrhehh the thing that’s holding me back is I’m allergic to subscriptions #impermanence. even though I know it’s fairly unlikely I’ll wanna watch it again any time soon I don’t like the idea that I’d have to like #in a couple years pay for it again or not be able to bc I can’t afford it even though I already paid for it once #I’m a books + cartridge games guy and it shows.#okay. realized waaay too late that the bachelor’s thesis sign up isn’t just a ”click some buttons”-thing, instead u gotta fill out topics u’d be interested in. So I’ve given myself a nice long time of 3 days to decide before the deadline 😌 bc

So spent a good amount panicking & cursing all my life choices bc obv u gotta (i’ve given this 0 thought before this very day (even though I should’ve I’m aware) so like not the ideal situation to put urself in)

Then spent a good amount desperately looking through things and I think I have some sort of vision now (something to do with cyber investigation/cybercrimes (i think,, maybe.. still got a couple days), not too sure exactly what, but a faint idea would be enough for now. It also would make sense; always been interested in criminology (and shit like that) which I also minored in so that’d tie that up nicely)

Nothing else bc made the grave mistake of ”just gonna read a little this morning” and suddenly realizing it’s 2pm and I’ve read like 100pages and done nothing else the whole day

#it could help also bc been thinking abt going that way on the career path and this would be a good chance to see if I REALLY like it #or if I’m just accidentally basing my entire personality on Criminal Minds the tv show again #like if I get bored & done with it in 6 months then I could be for sure that it’s not the thing for me and won’t go chasing something I onl #like the idea of (big fear bc how would u ever actually know what any career is _actually_ like until u try and then u could realize u’ve #wasted years on just the idea of something)#i’m so glad tho I didn’t open this on the day-of #like at least there’s some days #i’m gonna think abt this for a bit more today & write a rough draft of what I’ll write on the form #and sleep on it & think abt it a bit more tmrw #and on monday I’ll send it in #i think that’s a long enough of a thing to make sure I’m just not grasping at the first idea I had just out of desperation #today #december 2023 #2023
