I fixate on one-liners too much, but can you really blame me when they hit like this?
The feelings that run through me whenever even the slightest pinch of a character’s canonical appearance is mentioned—
If y’all notice that bit of iridescence in his eyes, that’s color(s) associated with Freelancers in my canon ✨
Then I had a thought that since his eyes were brown, a natural hue, and my version on empowereds eye colors depend on their abilities unless you’re humanborn in which you have a bit of both (almost like heterochromia) 👀
Ergo making my version of Sam a humanborn Freelancer which I think really adds more to the struggles he’s been through and, if I really wanna get deep with it, even relating to Lovely in a way which would make having his hand in helping with the process of their turning a lot more meaningful because he can relate to the loss of an incredible ability you 1. didn’t know you had and 2. spent so long trying to manage it only to have it taken from you just like that. He sees a little of himself in them—and y’know Sam Collins is the kind of man that wants to give others the chance to have what he couldn’t.

I'm once again thinking about the missed opportunities to have Klaus and Kol bond more. Part of Klaus' whole motivation as a vampire is to get his werewolf part back and to finally be stronger than Mikael (sort of, I'm simplifying) both of which can be obtained by breaking his curse. But Kol? Kol is the only other original that can relate to having a fundamental part of themself ripped away from them. Klaus might not have known he was a werewolf until he killed, but he likely still had a connection he couldn't explain, as evident by him going to watch the wolves transform. And something he'd never been able to explain was now gone. He might only be able to realise the connection afterwards through its absence.
Kol though. Kol had grown up with magic, a connection to nature and the world around him in a way the rest of his siblings supposedly didn't have. And then he gets turned. And not only has his baby brother died, his father has just murdered him and the rest of his siblings after forcing them to drink human blood, which he'll later learn. Now, not only does he have to deal with the grief of Henrik's death and also his own but also the loss of his magic. A loss that's likely only worsened by Kol being a self-proclaimed child prodigy.
Kol is pretty much the only one who could understand what Klaus is going through with the binding of his wolf. We know Kol searched for ways to get his magic back/carry on practicing magic in the same way that Klaus was looking for ways to break his curse. While Klaus likely could still feel his wolf there despite being bound, Kol has no access to his magic anymore. I just think they should've been able to bond or connect over their shared loss of an intrinsic aspect of their selves at the hands of their parents

Vampire! Prowler Miles HCs
TW: mentions of sucking bl00d and k!ll!ng people, bad people tho.
Miles G got bit by a radioactive bat, just to be clear.
Kingpin thought it was a good idea to make a radioactive bat and targeted it at Miles (not caring for whether Miles died or not). Miles (and Aaron) doesn't know Kingpin made it, all he knows is that a weird looking bat bit him, it hurt like heck, and know he has superpowers.
He can go out in sun light but STRONGLY dislikes it. Mostly because his eyes are sensitive to the light.
His bedroom is REALLY dark, Rio often makes comments about it.
He got fangs and claws, obviously. But they only come out when he's extremely upset or when he wants them to.
Yes, he can walk on walls and has venomous fangs. His venom will instantly paralyze & numb you.
Aaron knows about it and helps out when he can.
Miles can still eat regular food, but as a treat he usually sucks the blood out of whatever bad guy he was tasked to kill for a mission.
Has a blood storage in Aaron's house just in case he has a thirst.
All out goth/emo of course and loves alternative music.
Has on shades when outside, and indoors depending on how light the room is.
His suit has bat wings attached to them, making him more agile in fights.
Sense such as better sight (only at night), smell, hearing, taste, touch, echo location, and super strength.
REALLY fast, which is why he always wins battles.
He heals pretty quickly, like overnight quickly.
Aaron calls him batman, much to his distaste and annoyance.
Small dating HC'S:
You two totally had the upside-down kiss thing.
You noticed his super strength whenever he got upset and threw things, you calmed him down though. (Your usually scared out of your mind, not because he may hurt you, but because he may hurt himself)
You often wonder why he always wears shades inside or outside. The sun isn't that bad, you had asked him and said his eyes were becoming sensitive. Which wasn't a lie, but you worried about him a lot more.

"If you can't kill the father, then you may as well kill the son."
Hughie thought he'd died. It had certainly felt like dying at the time, but now he knew better. This was what dying truly was. Molten fire being poured through his veins, needles pricked every inch of his skin. The first death had practically been descent into slumber. This death was being covered in gasoline and set ablaze.
A constant scream ripped out of Hughie's throat and echoed inside of his head. His ears rang. Everything was so sensitive. He could hear his blood rushing through his body, he could hear everything and when he opened his eyes, he was blinded. The world had never been so bright.
At some point, his eyes find Homelander. He still writhed, body contorting with agony, but his eyes stayed locked on Homelander. "What... did... you... DO?!"
