Instead of killing the part of me that cringes I think I will sit with him.
I know he does not love me, how could he. But I love him.
I will love him and sit in comfortable silence remembering better days
and i will hope it is enough for the both of us

OC-tober day 4: redesign! I have a bunch of characters that need redesigns and every single one has HAD a redesign at some point. I decided to go for Aisha, though, and re-draw an old piece of her. Here's the old one, if you're curious.
Aisha is a condemned celestial, which means her ancestors were among the celestials who sided with the enslaved infernals and were cursed by the Heraldic God, Iustinious Dei. Condemned tend to have darker skin tones, from tan to midnight black.
Aisha herself is also 6'2, which means she towers over almost everyone else in the Syndicate- her height is also useful as she's an assassin who works as a bodyguard to Tau Urusov, as well as security for the Velvet Fang.
She's a complicated one; she revels in violence and killing after living a very hard life, but she has developed some friendships in recent years that have rocked her core tenant: that everyone is out to get you.

A small comic about Palestine I created to appeal to more passive family and friends
Anyways if you have the money I urge you to donate to Ibraheem Hadi, a Palestinian who contacted me and whom I promised to highlight in relation to this comic:
Otherwise there is always a need for eSims to keep Gazans connected

on what does god judge us?
Do you think you get a reward for your hardships? You can attempt to wear them like a badge, but God doesn’t judge us on the level of pain we endure in life: He judges on the love we show in spite of our suffering. Love is the measure we will be judged on. Mariam Ibraheem, Shackled, p.181.

RE: Avatar (not that one) 2025
I have some concerns about the new Avatar/Korra series, so buckle up.
Tumblr media
First off, the above image is a mockup created by the blog Avatar News and does not represent officially released materials. This is something the website notes in a parenthetical at the end of the article but, it is at the end of the article, and this image has been circulated as official promotional materials. It isn’t.
But it does provide a thematic lead in to my concerns with a series that will reportedly be a follow up to Korra’s series, and follow the Avatar directly succeeding her.
Tumblr media
To not bury the lede, I have sincere concerns about Avatar Studio’s ability to tell a racially and politically sensitive story in the modern day and these concerns are born out of the stories they have told. I am concerned that in setting a story in the equivalent of our modern day as this series will reportedly be, that Avatar Studio’s will fail to reckon with their textual flirtation with fascism and authoritarianism in a responsible way.
Others such as @straynerdboy have mentioned how tactless The Legend of Korra was to include black american folk music (Jazz) in a setting bereft of black people, and that sort of casual, mindless appropriation carried forth into a contemporary setting is concerning to say the least.
Tumblr media
Finally, and the reason I am ultimately writing this; I am concerned for how this series may deal with Korra’s legacy, for the misogyny that this may call forth, and for the ensuing more tangible misogyny this may stoke, this time levied against members of the fan communities.
For all of our sakes, I hope that these concerns are allayed and that the Studio is thoughtful, cautious, and critical in approaching whatever themes they choose to broach in these new series.

Save one life, save the whole world
My name is Muhammad Ibrahim. I work as a high school teacher. I am a strong father from Gaza. I have three princesses from my children. I mentioned that I am strong because I try to provide happiness and protection for my family in the midst of sadness and death, and I am looking to shed light in the darkness. I am strong. I do not want to show weakness to my children, but to be honest I have no idea how strong I can pretend to be. I'm not strong. I'm sad, broken, devastated, and terrified at the thought of losing someone in my family.
Tumblr media
Since the first hour of October, we have been displaced 6 times. It is a terrifying thing. When you see the planes dropping leaflets on us asking us to evacuate the area, you are asked to evacuate within a specific time. At this time, you are unable to think about what you want to do, and where we will go. While preparing the necessary bags, shells and missiles are raining down on us. Bullets from airplanes. At this moment, you can only escape and save your life and the lives of your children
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
After more than 300 days of resisting the heinous genocide, my family and I are working to support ourselves through community relief and mutual assistance efforts that stopped three months ago due to the occupation taking control and occupying the city of Rafah.
With the constant risk of death due to malnutrition, dehydration and pollution, diseases are increasing day by day. Like all residents of Gaza, we depend on donations to purchase the goods and services necessary to keep us alive, heal and recover.
One dollar could make a difference in my life. Your skip could cost us a life
Let me tell you about living in the camp, it is like a prison, and even worse, there is no fresh air to breathe, no clean water for daily use and of course to drink, no electricity and no healthy food, only infectious diseases, skin rashes, insects and scorpions.
There is no privacy as the tents are close together, and no quiet, only shelters between you and your neighbors. I stand in long lines under the hot sun for water, for bread, for hospice (food distributed to the displaced in the camp) and even for bathrooms. Public.
Tumblr media
More than 300 days of targeted attacks and genocidal tactics have deliberately destroyed life's infrastructure: energy sources, desalination plants, bakeries, factories, hospitals, schools, sewage systems, roads, farmland, homes, my home, and my workplace. Everything has already become a terrifying ghost town
Tumblr media
The Gaza Strip has become an uninhabitable biological zone, due to tens of thousands of decaying martyrs who are still crushed under the rubble. The beach is full of sewage and pollution, the health care system has been destroyed, and facilities and agricultural lands have been bombed. We are in a miserable situation, with the outbreak of hepatitis. Polio and other diseases, famine, pollution and constant bombing
My three children, my wife, my mother, and my father need care, and because I am the only person in the family who goes to get water and food, which is considered a huge burden on me, especially since there is no safe place there. I have always been exposed to the risk of death due to sudden bombing and miraculously survived. Therefore, my family and I want to leave Gaza. So that I can protect my children and save our lives, as they need to study, health care, and start a decent life. They have the right to live like all the children of this world, so I want your help in donating so that I can help my family. Since each person needs $5,000 to go out, I need a large amount to be able to travel, so I hope to reach the amount as quickly as possible so that I can get the children back to playing as they used to while studying

1 April 2024
Sources report the occupation has withdrawn from Al-Shifa Hospital complex and surrounding neighborhoods.
It is reported that over 50 martyrs have been founded in the streets outside the complex entrance. Hundreds more martyrs lie in the complex itself, we may not know an exact number for many hours.
Many buildings have been either bulldozed out of existence or burned and gutted so viciously as to be completely unusable. Many homes in the vicinity are in the same condition.
