It is crucial to recognize that understanding the factors that led Snape to join the Death Eaters does not equate to justifying his actions. Instead, it provides a context for his behavior—a context that, if ignored, can lead to an oversimplified and morally absolutist assessment of his character. Labeling him as inherently “horrible” because he became involved with the Death Eaters neglects a broader, more nuanced reality about how extremist and cult-like groups recruit vulnerable individuals, and it disregards important class dynamics that help explain why certain individuals are more susceptible to such influences.
A substantial body of research in political psychology and sociology demonstrates that extremist groups often target vulnerable individuals rather than recruiting solely based on free will. Studies have shown that many extremist organizations, whether political, religious, or cultic in nature, actively seek out individuals who are experiencing personal crises, identity confusion, or social isolation. For instance, many sociologists argues that groups engaging in radical behavior often “identify and exploit the vulnerabilities of potential recruits” by offering them a sense of belonging and purpose that they might otherwise lack in their lives. In Snape’s case, his troubled past, personal losses, and internal conflicts created an environment in which the promises of power or recognition offered by the Death Eaters might have seemed compelling—even if those promises were ultimately manipulative and destructive.
The acholara McCauley and Moskalenko outline that radicalization is typically a process rather than a single choice. This process is influenced by both personal vulnerabilities and external pressures. The fact that someone like Snape was drawn into the ranks of a dangerous group does not automatically render him morally reprehensible; rather, it situates his decision within a broader social and psychological framework. Such recruitment tactics are not unique to the fictional universe of Harry Potter—they echo real-world phenomena where extremist groups (ranging from terrorist organizations to cults) deliberately target young or disenfranchised individuals who are searching for identity or validation.
Beyond personal vulnerability, class dynamics play a significant role in shaping an individual’s susceptibility to extremist recruitment. I’ve talked yet about Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of social capital teaches us that an individual’s position within a social hierarchy—and the resources available or denied because of that position—can heavily influence life choices. In the case of Snape, his background and the social environment he inhabited might have contributed to a sense of alienation or inadequacy. When extremist groups or cults offer an alternative sense of identity, one that is tied to power and exclusivity, they often find fertile ground among those who feel marginalized by the dominant socio-economic order.
The Death Eaters, as depicted in the series, are not a mass movement but rather a group composed largely of individuals from particular elite or semi-elite backgrounds. Their ideology is steeped in ideas about blood purity and social superiority, ideas that resonate with established class prejudices. However, their recruitment strategies also demonstrate how these groups exploit the vulnerabilities of individuals from outside those circles. It is a mistake to assume that joining such a group is solely the result of a clear-eyed, rational choice. Instead, it is often the culmination of cumulative social pressures, feelings of resentment, and a misguided search for identity—a phenomenon well documented in social psychology.
Acknowledging these factors is not about exonerating or excusing Snape’s later actions as a Death Eater. Rather, it is about contextualizing his choices. Recognizing that his involvement was shaped by a host of external pressures—ranging from personal vulnerabilities to exploitative recruitment tactics—provides a more complete picture of his character. This approach aligns with works that argues that understanding the radicalization process involves looking at the interplay of individual circumstances and structural factors. By accepting that Snape’s environment played a key role in his decision-making, we avoid the trap of moral oversimplification.
It is important to note that even if one accepts this contextualization, it does not mean that Snape’s actions are morally excusable. The harm caused by his involvement with the Death Eaters remains real and significant. What it does mean, however, is that a comprehensive moral evaluation must consider both the individual’s choices and the context in which those choices were made. Ignoring the latter does a disservice to the complexity of human behavior and to the documented processes of extremist recruitment.
Critics who use Snape’s recruitment as a simple moral litmus test—arguing that joining the Death Eaters automatically makes him a horrible person—tend to overlook how extremist groups operate. Such critics often assume that membership in an extremist group is the result of a fully autonomous, rational decision made in a vacuum. This perspective neglects substantial empirical evidence demonstrating that many individuals are coerced, manipulated, or otherwise influenced by group dynamics. Aronson in his work on social influence, explains that individuals often conform to group behavior not out of a conscious endorsement of its values but as a result of subtle psychological pressures that diminish their sense of agency.
Furthermore, when people claim that someone “chose” to join such a group entirely of their own free will, they ignore the systematic targeting tactics that many extremist groups employ. These tactics often include isolating potential recruits from alternative viewpoints, creating echo chambers of ideology, and exploiting personal insecurities. Such strategies have been documented in studies of extremist recruitment and radicalization. By denying the influence of these factors, critics engage in a form of victim blaming—suggesting that the individual is solely at fault for their involvement, rather than recognizing the role of predatory social dynamics.
Understanding that factors such as vulnerability, social isolation, and class dynamics contributed to Snape’s recruitment into the Death Eaters is essential for a nuanced analysis of his character. This understanding does not serve to justify or excuse the harmful actions that ensued. Rather, it highlights the importance of context in shaping individual behavior—a context that extremist groups have long exploited in both fiction and reality.
By situating Snape’s recruitment within this broader context, we recognize that while his later actions are indeed condemnable, they are also the outcome of a deliberate process of exploitation—one that many extremist groups utilize to prey upon the vulnerable. This comprehensive view underscores that simplistic moral condemnations fail to account for the full material and social reality of extremist recruitment.

Would love to see what other versions of myself are out there!
Hey there, cutie. I've been carefully observing the timelines across the multiverse and I think I've found some interesting ones I would say. Let me first start with one not far from ours. 😉
Meet your brazilian self.
In this sun-kissed universe, your parents were Brazilian, and it shows in every sultry curve of your body. You're a free spirit, always chasing the next wave or beach party under the tropical sun, where the only thing hotter than the sand is the lustful gaze of the locals.
Your olive skin glistens with a sheen of coconut oil as you soak up the rays, and your dark hair flows in the ocean breeze like silk threads begging to be tangled in a passionate embrace. When night falls, you trade in your caipirinha and board shorts for a tight pair of jeans that hug every inch of your physique, ready to heat things up on the dance floor or in a private cabana.
Now, I want you to imagine a reality where Arabs dominate the world and shaped every corner of existence, blending all races into their superior form through generations of intermarriage and genetic manipulation, with lesser races either becoming arabized over time or enslaved.
In this universe, you're the epitome of Middle Eastern masculinity - strong, commanding, and unapologetically in control.
You're a wealthy and powerful alpha male at the pinnacle of this genetically superior race. Your dark hair is always perfectly coiffed, framing a face that exudes confidence, power, and an insatiable drive for achievement.
You exude an aura of confidence and dominance, attracting both admiration and desire from all who lay eyes on you. Every inch of your chiseled body is honed to perfection - from the defined ridges of your chest to your powerful bulge straining against your luxurious clothes.
Next, in another parallel universe, your DNA took a different path, resulting in athletic prowess and an unrelenting passion for the game of basketball.
You're an unstoppable force on the basketball court - lean, muscular, and dripping with sweat after a grueling game. Your chiseled muscles were honed from hours at the gym and a work ethic that leaves opponents in the dust.
Your dark skin glistens with sweat as you leap for a dunk, your brawn and agility making you nearly unstoppable. Off the court, you're charming and charismatic, always ready to charm your fans or give back to your community.
Last but certainly not least, meet your latino fuckboy self in a reality where you're part of an irresistible majority. Here, everyone's got that extra je ne sais quoi - those piercing eyes, that chiseled jawline, that uncanny ability to make anyone fall head over heels in love with just a wink and a smile.
In this realm, you're a tatted-up playboy, always high on life and weed as you navigate the vibrant streets of your city. Your inked skin tells stories of your adventures and conquests, while your confident swagger and sly grins leave women and men weak in the knees.
You're the ultimate player, always on the lookout for the next conquest... but deep down, you crave something real, someone who can handle your wild side without getting too clingy.
So there you have it! As we gaze into these alternate realities, we're reminded that our perception of ourselves is fluid and malleable. These versions of you challenge traditional notions of identity, proving that with a shift in perspective, even the most familiar aspects of ourselves can be reimagined in provocative new ways. So the next time you catch your reflection, consider the infinite possibilities lurking just beyond the mirror...

Tree of Void Emanation
The void of non-being emanates existence through a generative process and pattern which produces systems of increasing complexity and representative power. At the twelfth emanation we reach what is likely a limit of usefulness in balance with complexity.
Each emanation builds contains and is connected to the previous emanations. The term “sphere” is used as is common in platonic and qabalistic systems as an to reference the formative principles of each emanation. The term “path” describes the connections between the spheres.
Each sphere is counted in two ways, once by sequence starting from zero and again by prime number starting from one. Zero and one represent the identity functions of addition and multiplication. Each subsequent is then given its own sigil which is produced from merging the numeric sigils of its sequence and prime. The pronunciations of the spheres are similarly generated by combining the pronunciations of these numbers.
From this numeric skeleton the story of manifestation is developed upon it both as structured metaphor and ontological framework. Exploration of this framework reveals formulas and techniques for relating to and manipulating reality through the arts of magick.
Chaos 0⋮1 - nĕsh-hĭn - /nɛʃ.hɪn/
Existence emerges spontaneously and without reason from Void. Existence requires no reason. As the Void has no quality whatsoever it is in no way restricted making it the root generative force. This is the fundamental nature of existence. It is spontaneous and without purpose or design. All possibilities assert themselves into being at once, each becoming a “one”, a unity of existence unto itself while retaining nothing in itself.
Process 1⋮2 - hĕzh-ēsh - /hɛʒ.iʃ/
That which asserts itself into being does not exhaust possibility. Every aspect of being is incomplete, retaining its relation to void while constraining and permitting that which may follow. Each emmanation leaves space for the next emmanation so that the process may continue. All connection is made possible by what is left undetermined and reality is never fully manifest.
Pattern 2⋮3 - ēs-ŭzh - /is.ʌʒ/
As the process of manifestation proceeds the shape of the unmanifest spaces influences that which may follow. This causes patterns to arise that unify the discrete units of being. Though each is completely free and separate, they are also manifest as a unified pattern. It is precisely because of incompleteness that these units are able to also become a new unity.
Form 3⋮5 - ŭm-o͞os - /ʌm.us/
Within pattern there emerge forms defined by the pattern and yet independent within it. For example, 5 & 7 are a twin prime pair as they are both prime with a difference of 2. Other twin primes pairs include 11 & 13, 17 & 19, 29 & 31. All prime pairs greater than 3 & 5 have the property of having their sum being evenly divisible by 12. This form of a “prime pair” is well known in mathematics but primeness, divisibility, and addition were not in any way defined in order to produce this form. Number emanates the form of the prime pair. Likewise we may take nearly any game and learn its rules rather quickly, but to learn a strategy is an entirely different matter. Games like Chess or Go give rise to whole vocabularies for naming forms within them. Though the rules teach us how to play, one must become familiar with these forms to play well.
Change 4⋮7 - ăou-chăz - /aʊ̯.t͡ʃæz/
Manifestation may stop at Form to make a complete but static world. The universe of number is a perfect example of static manifestation. Alternately manifestation may remain forever in flux, manifesting and collapsing back into the unmanifest. This gives rise to time and change. Further manifestation takes on a destructive aspect as forms that were can now also cease to be. We move up a level in our analysis to describe types of change and change itself becomes a new type of form. The mathematically inclined may find it useful to meditate on the relationship of a mathematical function and its derivative.
Self 5⋮11 - o͞or-fĕm - /uɹ.fɛm/
In the flow of change through time forms emerge which influence change in order to sustain themselves. These forms are agents of change. Like the first cellular organisms self-organizing around volcanic vents on the ocean floor in the chemical soup of the earth’s ancient oceans. The basic aspect of these agents is homeostasis. These agents direct change to create a dynamic constant. As these agents guide change we may now call this activity Will. In the fullness of emanation we come to identify one of these agents with the self.
Sense 6⋮13 - jŏth-tŏi - /d͡ʒɑθ.tɔɪ/
Agents may be blind actors, no more than a self-catalyzing reaction, or the agent may develop the capability of sensing and reacting to its environment. Sense is the essential element of the encounter of that which is beyond the self. It is the beginning of external self-organization that leads to external manifestation. It is an echo of Process yielded through the incompleteness of the agent.
Thought 7⋮17 - chō-kou - /t͡ʃoʊ.kaʊ̯/
If what is sensed leaves its mark upon the agent then we find the seed for the emergence of representational systems. The agent can now experience itself in time, forming memories, and gains the ability to not just change behavior based on current circumstance but also based on past learning. These internal marks can then be sensed and manipulated and so give rise to symbol, language, and communication.
Desire 8⋮19 - ät-thĕl - /ɑt.θɛl/
Having formed memory the agent now is able to experience the external as something to be sought after or avoided. Want and fear and all the aspects of emotional attachment emerge. Desire attaches the agent to the external and so opens a channel for the external to truly manifest. It is attachment to the world that makes the world. We regard this as a positive development, an overcoming of the limited solipsistic self through desire.
Object 9⋮23 - ĕ-pĕp - /ɛ.pɛp/
Through desire the agent manifests the objectively real. The external is truly manifest beyond whatever sense, thoughts, or desires the agent may hold regarding it, so completing the self-overcoming of the agent. The objective binds the agent while also making possible the emergence of the next level of agency within objective reality. The agent has surrendered its naive omnipotence in its embrace of a new greater level of being in which it only has marginal and indirect power in exchange for a greater state of being.
Subject 10⋮29 - vŭ-sōb - /vʌ.soʊb/
The manifestation of objective reality allows the agent to itself become a manifest object. By surrendering itself into objectivity and becoming limited the agent is able to enter into a space where it can come into authentic contact with other agents manifest as other subjects. Each aspect of the agent obtains and is constrained by a physical correlation. For us humans, this is our brains. Every thought, sense element, and desire is within our brains and is lost to us with disruption of this fragile tissue.
Kia 11⋮31 - fĕ-shĕr - /fɛ.ʃɛɹ/
Kia is the void which remains within manifestation. In the twelfth tree all has manifested and yet Nothing remains. This Nothing is experienced as consciousness, free will, and ecstasy. More than that, Kia is the basis of having any experience whatsoever. All of the aspects of manifestation through the agent can carry on quite well without any conscious experience or free choice within it. In dreamless sleep and in normal waking when on auto-pilot Kia retreats. Kia manifests as the absurd, wonder, the presence of the undefined and unknown. Kia can arise in quiet contemplation, ecstatic overload, and in many ways that open the fundamental questions of being.

Day 30 | Navigation
31 days of FF 7 Headcanons: Day 31: Alternate Universe
Alternate universes reimagine the boundaries of fandom, offering fertile ground to explore how a character like Bianca Moore might evolve under radically different circumstances. Rooted in the Final Fantasy VII universe yet fractured across settings of modern crime, supernatural warfare, royal intrigue, and emotional rebirth, these alternate realities peel back the Fantasy Worlds Collide's veneer to expose the raw, shifting nature of identity.
Each version of Bianca is a mirror, reflecting the same obsessions -- love, power, and autonomy -- but refracted through unique societal pressures, traumas, and roles. Whether hunted or revered, cursed or blessed, Bianca's soul never strays far from Sephiroth's, nor from the Abyss that constantly calls her name.
Possible Trigger Warnings: abduction, addiction, blood, bodily experimentation, child loss, coercion, death, emotional manipulation, grooming, mind control, non-consensual bonding, pregnancy, psychological trauma, sexual themes, stalking, violence
Alternate universes offer a realm of possibilities, and for Bianca Moore, each one reframes her role within the Final Fantasy VII mythos: from celestial harbinger to lounge singer, outlaw, queen, or supernatural anomaly. These universes preserve the intensity of her bond with Sephiroth, but the circumstances, settings, and stakes twist her arc into new shapes, revealing different facets of her character. In every incarnation, however, Bianca’s core traits, obsession, longing, power, and defiance, remain intact, serving as anchors across the multiverse.
In the Biker AU Steel & Shadows, Bianca sheds her divine origins for a more grounded but no less dangerous reality. Here, she’s a novelist drawn to danger like a moth to flame with her curiosity about outlaw life leading her into the territory of Silver Eclipse and its enigmatic leader, Sephiroth. Their relationship, forged in the grime of alleyways and the rush of illegal races, is a war between desire and survival. Without celestial powers to shield her, Bianca navigates corruption and violence with only her wit, charm, and an underlying hunger for control.
In the Omegaverse, Bianca returns to her mythic origins, but twisted by control, trauma, and primal instinct. No longer a free agent, she’s forced into subjugation through a biological bond with Sephiroth. Her divine blood commodified by Shinra. Yet from this lowest point, Bianca’s rebirth as a weapon of vengeance emerges. Her love for Sephiroth here is brutal and possessive, rooted in shared agony and bonded instinct. There’s no pretense of redemption: only domination and ruin, with Bianca becoming the abyss incarnate, as she is prepared to dethrone Shinra and Asmodeus alike. This universe highlights her raw power and the terrifying beauty of embracing monstrosity.
In the Redemption AU presents perhaps the most dramatic deviation from the original timeline. Here, Bianca’s presence halts Sephiroth’s fall into madness, replacing cataclysm with resistance. Taken by Shinra as a child and raised in torment alongside Sephiroth, her bond with him becomes not just romantic but survivalist. Her role as a mother to Aurora and Lucien reshapes her into a warrior for legacy and protection, and Shinra’s lies forge a team of fugitives rather than destroyers. In this universe, Bianca flirts with heroism: not by choice, but by necessity. Redemption, however reluctant, becomes a viable path, proving she is not solely defined by darkness.
In the Rockstar AU, Bianca is stripped of war, power, and cosmic responsibility. She’s a smoky-voiced lounge singer unknowingly tethered to Sephiroth by fate. Her sorrowful melodies mirror the loneliness of a man worshipped by millions yet known by none. Their love is quiet, poetic, and healing and, most importantly, built not through survival or prophecy, but music. The AU showcases a softer Bianca but self-contained. Here she is less burdened by divine expectation. It’s a vision of what might have been, had destiny allowed her to remain human, vulnerable, and beautifully flawed.
Other realities, such as the Royal AU, where she’s a noblewoman defying political constraint for love or the Vampire AU where she is literally born of Vincent Valentine’s stolen blood and celestial lineage continue to explore how Bianca’s identity is reshaped by fate and circumstance.
In each world, she walks the edge between salvation and damnation, constantly defined by her proximity to power and her choices in response to it. Whether outlaw, queen, prey, or songstress, Bianca Moore remains the same at her core: a woman built from contradiction, forged by pain, and enthralled by a love powerful enough to destroy empires.

stella is big sister material. there i said it. not the best role model for kairi to latch onto considering stella's tendencies to have beliefs that fundamentally drive her to destroy everything at the end of the day but! it's about the time spent together before that inevitable end and clashing beliefs.
okay really though, kairi takes her connections very seriously and stella is very important to her. in base kh verse, i imagined them meeting during kairi's travels where maybe kairi tripped into the verum rex game and whoops it carries over into her reality sdfgsdg. or kairi's weird realm spanning telepathy triggers and she has no idea she astral projected herself into quadratum ( before stella becomes the nameless star...? ) when she falls asleep lol. initially unaware of stella's own prowess, kairi steps up to defend stella from something that appears to be attacking her ( not knowing she should probably be pointing the keyblade the other way ) and falls into a 'i want to protect her' stance, like a little kitten puffed up and wide eyed and trying to look intimidating and scare off threats that approach stella. kairi's just trying very hard even though she herself is still learning and coming to terms with her own abilities, identity and relationship to the light within herself that she doesn't truly understand. she finds it surprisingly easy to trust and make fast friends with this lady and before she knows it? big sister acquired.
ngl i always love the idea that kairi is...moldable to stella's ideologies to some degree. at least a little bit. they kind of represent opposite ends of the spectrum while occupying the same space in terms of light / stars symbolism and maintaining connections. i did mention she's figuring herself out and with their close relationship she can come to see much of stella's points, but at same time her own ideals drive her and while she admits the world / universe is flawed kairi sees it as something worth saving, not throwing away and abandoning everything that came before. she would be ultimately opposed to bathing everything in light and resetting it. the plan is basically the same as xehanort's, and the realization that she could resonate with anything similar to something from the man who has tormented her directly and indirectly and her friends is kinda horrifying when it clicks.
of course there was the other verses we had between kairi and stella. the greek verse with asteria and hemera and all the pain and suffering those two endured and the solidarity they have in spite of it all when they find each other again. that one versus one where kairi ends up with the fleurets instead of arriving on destiny islands, completely buys into stella's ideals and is all in with her plan. fun and full of angst lmao. i'm always up for anything we throw each others way. more dynamics with these two!

Living My Life: My Truth, My Authentic Self
In a world dominated by facades and social masks, embracing my own truth is profoundly empowering. This isn’t just a philosophy I follow; it’s a way of being. My truth is uniquely mine, untouched by the judgments or expectations of others. The idea of lying feels not only uncomfortable but almost impossible for me, because truth isn’t just something I speak – it's the very core of my spiritual beliefs and identity, guiding how I move through life.
The Freedom of Truth For me, telling the truth isn't an obligation. It's liberating. When I speak about my truth, I free myself from the weight of pretending or having to craft half-truths. Lying, feels like walking through life holding chains, holding on to stories that aren’t mine, juggling versions of reality that aren’t aligned with who I am. But honesty isn’t always easy. The truth is raw, unfiltered and real. My truth is exactly that. But there's a unique clarity in owning who you are – for everyone – not just me. I live, write and communicate with truth, honesty and integrity. I let go of the need to manipulate situations, to avoid conflict, or to try to fit in because I know the only thing that matters to me is that my words and actions reflect my authentic self. The Challenge of Telling the Truth in a Dishonest World Despite my commitment to truth, I recognise that we live in a world where dishonesty is rewarded. White and black lies, social politeness and hidden truths seem to be woven into the fabric of society, in everyday life. Sometimes, this makes truth-telling a lonely journey. It's certainly a challenge. It's often said 'the truth hurts.' But I don't believe it hurts as much as dishonesty does. The temporary sting of uncomfortable truths in the longer term, will pale into insignificance over continual white and black lies. The truth, no matter how hard, builds trust. It invites deeper relationships and encourages transparency in return. Why Lying Is Difficult for Me
I find lying difficult because I'm not a liar. It takes too much energy – keeping track of what I've said and to whom means juggling false stories that don’t reflect my reality, who I am as a person. Lying feels like constructing an alternate universe, one that drags me further from who I am. Truth, on the other hand, is effortless. It's a natural expression of myself, requiring no fabrication—just presence and honesty. When I speak from the heart, there's no need for pretence. The Power of Owning Your Truth Living and breathing truth not only continues to shape my intentions, but has also deepened my relationship with myself. Self-deception is one of the hardest things to overcome. What were once small white lies can turn into black. When you're honest with yourself about your feelings, your life and your limitations, you begin to live more authentically. You make choices that are rooted in what you want, not in what society expects of you. By owning my truth, my story, as hard as it is, I am able to navigate my life with a sense of purpose. The truth has given me the courage to speak up when it matters and the confidence to stand by my values, even when it’s uncomfortable. Truth, to me, is not just about avoiding lies – it’s about fully embracing the reality of who I am, of my total existence. My writing, my truth, enables me to open the door on my feelings and that helps with mental health – where in the past with autism, my feelings have continually remained locked. The CP Diary helps me to show up, no matter the circumstances. Living in Alignment Living in truth has to be continuous – it's not a destination. It requires a deep commitment to live with integrity, even when it’s challenging. It means accepting the parts of yourself that may not always align with societal expectations, but honouring them anyway. It’s about realising that the most valuable thing you can offer the world is your authentic self.
Conclusion For those who find it difficult to lie, the path of truth might feel isolating, but it is also profoundly freeing. It’s a life where you can walk with your head held high, knowing that the words you speak and the actions you take are a true reflection of who you are. My truth is my truth—and it’s empowering.
In a world full of dishonest intent and illusions, living in alignment with your truth is the ultimate act of self-respect. It’s about trusting your voice and knowing that the truth, and while not always easy, it's exactly the right thing to do.

WIP (Work in Progress) Theme Tag
So I have been tagged and now need to learn how to bold things. So here I am on my desktop instead of my tablet so that I can actually see my options. Rules: bold the themes that appear in your WIP and italicize those that appear loosely
I’ll do my Portae Inter Nos series. My 2nd one, Iter Liberti, will be maybe 60% similar. It’s not out yet so. The Portae Inter Nos series is out for novellas 1-4 and I’m still working on 5 and 6.
addiction | beauty I betrayal | change vs. tradition | chaos vs. order | circle of life | coming of age I communication | convention vs. rebellion | corruption | courage | crime and law | dangers of ignorance | darkness and light | death | desire to escape | dreams | displacement | empowerment | facing darkness I facing reality I faith vs. doubt | fall from grace I fame and fortune I family | fate | fear | fear of failure | free will I friendship | fulfillment | good vs. bad I government | greed I guilt and forgiveness | hard work I heroism | hierarchy | honesty I hope | identity crisis | immortality | independence | individual vs. society I inner vs. outer strength I innocence I injustice I isolation | knowledge vs. ignorance | life | loneliness I lost love | love | man vs. nature | manipulation I materialism | motherhood | nature | nature vs. nurture I oppression | optimism | peer pressure I poverty I power | power of words | prejudice | pride | progress | quest | racism | rebirth | relationships | religion I responsibility | revenge | sacrifice | secrets | self-awareness | self-preservation | self-reliance | sexuality | social class structure | survival | technology I temptation and destruction | time I totalitarianism I weakness | vanity | war | wealth | wisdom of experience I youth
So that was not as exciting as I thought. Turns out this would have been much better for my 2nd series and everything from 1 applies except love. My 1st series is just light. Friends, siblings, romantic couples being sent to other dimensions and time lines or getting sucked into alternate dimensions by accident. And a bunch of akwardness in one of my couples as they deal with expressing their emotions and desires. Anyway, this was still kind of cool. It just didn’t suit my first series much
Oh ya, umm I don’t know who to tag. Apparently someone else I follow writes too but I’m blanking. So open tag. If you see this and want to do it, then I tag you.

Exploring and Healing from Narcissistic Abuse with Dr. Karen Hawk
Narcissistic abuse is a form of psychological manipulation that can leave deep emotional and psychological scars. It occurs when a person with narcissistic traits or narcissistic personality disorder exploits others for their own gain, using tactics like gaslighting, belittling, and emotional manipulation. Those who experience narcissistic abuse often struggle with feelings of confusion, low self-worth, and isolation. The healing process from such abuse can be long and challenging, but with the right guidance and support, it is possible to reclaim one’s sense of self and emotional well-being. Karen Hawk Gilbert Gilbert, an experienced therapist specializing in trauma and abuse recovery, offers invaluable insights and strategies to help individuals heal from the damaging effects of narcissistic abuse.
Dr. Hawk Gilbert begins by explaining that the first step in healing from narcissistic abuse is recognizing and acknowledging the abuse. Often, victims of narcissistic abuse are gaslighted into questioning their reality, making it difficult to identify the manipulation and mistreatment they’ve experienced. Narcissists often use tactics like emotional invalidation, excessive criticism, and subtle control, making their victims doubt their own perceptions. Dr. Hawk Gilbert emphasizes that recognizing the patterns of narcissistic behavior is crucial for victims to understand that what they’ve experienced is not their fault. By educating oneself about narcissism and the tactics narcissists use, individuals can begin to break free from the fog of confusion and start their healing journey.
A significant part of healing from narcissistic abuse, according to Dr. Hawk Gilbert, is restoring one’s self-esteem. Narcissists often use emotional manipulation to make their victims feel unworthy, insignificant, or unlovable. Over time, this constant emotional degradation can erode a person’s self-worth, leaving them feeling disconnected from their true selves. Dr. Hawk Gilbert works with clients to rebuild their sense of self by identifying and challenging the negative beliefs and messages instilled by the narcissist. She encourages her clients to reconnect with their strengths, talents, and core values, helping them reclaim a sense of identity that was once overshadowed by the narcissist’s manipulation. This process often involves re-learning self-compassion and embracing one’s inherent worth, independent of the narcissist’s validation or approval.
Dr. Hawk Gilbert also highlights the importance of setting firm boundaries when healing from narcissistic abuse. One of the most insidious aspects of narcissistic abuse is the lack of respect for boundaries. Narcissists often disregard personal space, emotional needs, and basic decency, pushing their victims to accept unhealthy behaviors and treatment. Dr. Hawk Gilbert teaches her clients the importance of setting and enforcing boundaries to protect their emotional and psychological well-being. She helps individuals identify areas where their boundaries were violated and supports them in learning how to assertively communicate their needs and limits. Setting boundaries is not about controlling others; it’s about taking control of one’s own life and protecting oneself from further harm. Dr. Hawk Gilbert believes that boundary-setting is a powerful tool in the healing process and an essential step toward reclaiming autonomy.
Another crucial aspect of healing, according to Dr. Hawk Gilbert, is breaking the trauma bond that often forms between the victim and the narcissist. The trauma bond is a strong emotional attachment that develops as a result of intermittent reinforcement—when the narcissist alternates between idealizing and devaluing the victim. This cycle of love-bombing and emotional abuse creates confusion and dependency, making it difficult for victims to leave the relationship, even when they are fully aware of the abuse. Dr. Hawk Gilbert helps clients break this bond by focusing on building emotional independence and self-sufficiency. She encourages individuals to engage in activities that promote self-care, self-discovery, and personal growth. By fostering a sense of inner strength and resilience, individuals can begin to detach from the narcissist’s influence and take steps toward creating a healthier future.
One of the most important aspects of healing from narcissistic abuse is the need to process and release suppressed emotions. Narcissistic abuse often causes individuals to suppress their feelings in order to avoid conflict or to keep the peace in the relationship. However, these repressed emotions can manifest as anxiety, depression, or physical symptoms. Dr. Hawk Gilbert works with clients to safely explore and express the emotions they’ve been holding onto, including anger, sadness, fear, and grief. She provides a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can process these emotions, helping them release the weight of the abuse and begin to heal emotionally. This process of emotional release is often a key turning point in recovery, allowing individuals to let go of the past and move forward with a renewed sense of empowerment.
Dr. Hawk Gilbert also emphasizes the importance of creating a support system when healing from narcissistic abuse. One of the common feelings that victims of narcissistic abuse experience is isolation. Narcissists often isolate their victims from family, friends, and other support networks, making them feel alone and unworthy of love and support. Dr. Hawk Gilbert encourages individuals to reach out to trusted friends, family members, or support groups to rebuild a sense of community. She also advocates for finding therapists or support groups that specialize in narcissistic abuse recovery, as these resources provide validation, understanding, and connection. Building a support system is vital for healing, as it provides a sense of belonging and reassurance that the victim is not alone in their journey.
Forgiveness is another aspect of the healing process that Dr. Hawk Gilbert explores with her clients. It’s important to note that forgiveness does not mean excusing the behavior of the narcissist or reconciling with them. Instead, it’s about freeing oneself from the emotional grip that the narcissist’s actions have had on them. Dr. Hawk Gilbert guides clients in understanding that forgiveness is a personal choice that can help them release the emotional burden of the past. Forgiveness is not for the narcissist; it’s for the individual to reclaim their power and move forward without carrying the weight of resentment and anger. Through forgiveness, individuals can reclaim their peace of mind and emotional freedom.
Dr. Hawk Gilbert also advocates for reclaiming one’s sense of joy and purpose after narcissistic abuse. Narcissistic abuse often leaves victims feeling disconnected from their passions and interests. The constant emotional manipulation and focus on the narcissist’s needs can overshadow personal goals and desires. Dr. Hawk Gilbert encourages clients to rediscover what brings them joy, whether it’s a hobby, a career, or relationships that nurture them. She helps individuals set personal goals, pursue their dreams, and build a life that reflects their true values and desires. By reconnecting with their authentic self, individuals can begin to build a future that is centered on their own needs, happiness, and growth.
Healing from narcissistic abuse is a transformative journey that requires time, patience, and support. Dr Karen Hawk Psychologist Gilbert Gilbert’s compassionate and holistic approach to therapy helps individuals regain their emotional strength, set healthy boundaries, and rediscover their self-worth. With her guidance, victims of narcissistic abuse can break free from the trauma and create a life filled with empowerment, resilience, and self-love. By understanding the dynamics of narcissistic abuse and engaging in the healing process, individuals can rebuild their lives, restore their sense of self, and ultimately thrive.

A teenager, Yuya Tenjo, is transported into an alternate world where he acquires a powerful skill that allows him to manipulate his surroundings in ways previously thought impossible. The duality of his existence – navigating both a mundane, often overwhelming reality and a fantasy universe where power is unbounded – leads him to experience significant psychological shifts. His newfound abilities serve not only as a metaphor for human potential but also as a vehicle for exploring the complexities of self-worth, identity, and societal expectations. As Yuya attempts to balance his existence in both worlds, his psychological state deteriorates due to the stark contrast between his overpowering new identity in the fantasy world and his alienation in the real world. His struggle becomes a case study in cognitive dissonance, as his idealized sense of self as an unbeatable protagonist clashes with his unremarkable, bullied persona in the real world.
Cognitive Dissonance: Yuya's transition between two vastly different realities creates an internal psychological conflict. In the real world, he is socially ostracized, struggling with low self-esteem and isolation. In the fantasy world, however, he is a god-like figure with boundless power. The constant juxtaposition of these experiences forces him into a state of cognitive dissonance – the mental discomfort experienced when holding two contradictory beliefs or attitudes simultaneously. Yuya’s mind must navigate this tension, struggling with identity confusion, self-worth, and existential anxiety.
Imposter Syndrome: Despite his incredible abilities in the alternate world, Yuya often grapples with imposter syndrome, a psychological phenomenon where an individual doubts their accomplishments and fears being exposed as a "fraud." His new identity as an all-powerful hero contrasts sharply with the persona he had in the real world, making him feel undeserving of his new powers, despite their objective reality. This disconnect creates profound self-doubt, as he questions whether he has truly earned his place in both worlds.
Dissociation and Identity Fragmentation: The anime explores dissociation, where Yuya’s mind increasingly detaches from the real world as his experiences in the fantasy world deepen. His physical body may remain in the real world, but his psyche frequently escapes to a place where he is invincible and revered. Over time, his self-concept fractures into multiple identities: the bullied teenager in the real world and the untouchable hero in the fantasy realm. This fragmentation of self leads to feelings of disorientation and loss of personal coherence, a psychological state akin to depersonalization disorder.
Societal Pressure and Role Conflict: The anime would delve into role conflict, where Yuya feels torn between societal expectations in the real world and his elevated role in the fantasy realm. He is expected to conform to societal norms and live within the rigid boundaries of his real-world limitations, while in the fantasy world, he is free to act without restriction. This contrast brings him to the brink of a psychological breakdown, as he becomes unable to reconcile the disparate demands placed on him in both worlds.
Attachment Theory and Isolation: Yuya’s inability to form meaningful, stable relationships in the real world reflects the core principles of attachment theory. His experience of rejection and bullying as a child has led to insecure attachment patterns, manifesting in his emotional isolation and fear of intimacy. The lack of close human connections in the real world exacerbates his reliance on the fantasy world, leading him to emotionally detach from the people around him. Over time, he must confront the psychological toll of neglecting real-world relationships for the sake of his unrealistically perfect existence in the fantasy world.
Metacognition: Yuya often engages in metacognition, the ability to think about his own thinking. He critically assesses his psychological states in both worlds, often trying to understand why he feels out of place in the real world while being at ease in the fantasy world.
Self-actualization: The journey of self-actualization becomes central as Yuya strives to reconcile his multiple selves and achieve his true potential, both as a hero and a regular teenager.
Nihilism: The contrast between his worlds leads Yuya to periods of nihilism, where he questions the meaning of his life, actions, and relationships. His overwhelming sense of power in one world leads him to doubt the significance of his existence in the other.
Existential Crisis: As Yuya navigates the tension between his alternate selves, he undergoes a profound existential crisis, grappling with the meaning of his existence and his place in both worlds.
Psychological Visual Metaphors: The anime’s visuals should use surreal imagery to symbolize Yuya's psychological conflicts. For example, his mind could be represented by an ever-changing landscape that shifts from vibrant, fantastical cities to bleak, gray urban settings, symbolizing the contrast between his two worlds. Dream-like sequences where Yuya floats between realms could showcase his sense of isolation and his fractured sense of self.
Internal Monologues: Psychological depth could be achieved through internal monologues, where Yuya verbalizes his internal struggles, grappling with questions about identity, self-worth, and morality. These moments could be enhanced with introspective narration and subtle visual cues, such as mirrored reflections or fragmented glass.
Real vs. Fantasy World Transitions: The transition between worlds could be marked by psychological states. In moments of stress, Yuya’s real-world environment could warp and distort, mirroring his mental breakdown. His escape to the fantasy world would be depicted as a form of psychological refuge, contrasting the mundanity of his real life with the boundless possibilities of his alternate existence.

Headcanon: Human TMNT 2012 AU
In an alternate universe where Tang Shen survived the fateful night, and the Turtles are her human sons, the dynamics change drastically. In this reality, Karai is raised by her biological parents, Yoshi and Tang Shen, creating a peaceful household full of love and understanding—completely opposite to the harsh environment she faced in the original timeline.
Raph, on the other hand, has a uniquely complicated origin. Born to Shredder, he’s raised by the Hamato clan after being taken in, without knowing the truth of his birth. This upbringing makes him fiercely loyal to his family, only to have everything turned upside down during the first Kraang invasion.
Plot Twist: The Shredder's Manipulation
Shredder, still obsessed with Tang Shen, becomes increasingly irrational and vengeful, using every opportunity to manipulate and control those around him. When he realizes that Raph, who he named Sousuke at birth, is his biological son and now considers Yoshi his father, Shredder becomes consumed by rage. In a twisted desire to reclaim what he believes was stolen from him—Tang Shen and their potential family—Shredder uses a brain worm to take control of Raph's mind.
Conflict with Leo and Family Dynamics
During a training session, Leo is the first to encounter the brainwashed Raph, now an agent of the Foot Clan. Raph, donned in Shredder-like armor, becomes a formidable foe. The encounter leaves Leo shocked and devastated, grappling with the realization that his brother is now an enemy.
This revelation shakes the entire Hamato family. Leo confides in Yoshi, who urges him to keep Raph's true identity a secret for the family's sake, fearing that the knowledge would tear them apart. The secret weighs heavily on Leo, forcing him to question his father’s decision.
Donnie's Unexpected Gift and Spike's Mutation
In the midst of this chaos, Donnie inadvertently gains telepathic abilities from a botched experiment. Struggling to control his newfound power, he becomes more attuned to the family's emotions, magnifying the tension within the clan.
Meanwhile, Raph’s pet turtle, Spike, experiences a mutation, transforming into a formidable adversary blaming the Hamatos for Raph's disappearance. This adds an additional layer of stress, as Spike begins to actively seek out the family for revenge, further complicating the already strained relationships.
Casey’s Encounter with Raph
Raph's best friend, Casey Jones, unaware of the events transpiring, is thrilled to see Raph alive after the invasion. Yet, this excitement quickly turns to confusion as Raph, now brainwashed, fails to recognize their friendship. The subsequent fight forces Raph to briefly escape his mind control, temporarily halting the battle and leaving Casey with an unsettling, incomplete truth—that Raph’s been compromised by the Foot Clan.
Breaking the Silence
Fueled by his concern for Raph, Casey confronts the Hamato family, demanding answers. Placed in an impossible position, Leo and Yoshi finally reveal the truth about Raph’s disappearance and Shredder’s ongoing manipulation. This admission forms a fragile alliance focused on saving Raph, as they band together to devise a plan to free him from Shredder’s control.
Exploring Themes
Family and Identity: The concept of what makes a family is explored. Raph must come to terms with who he is beyond Shredder's manipulation.
Trust and Loyalty: Loyalties are tested as secrets are kept for protection, but trust becomes a focal point for resolving the chaos Shredder has sown.
Redemption: There is a deep-rooted hope for Raph’s redemption, emphasizing the strength of familial love and friendship to break through mind control.
This headcanon adds rich layers to the characters, exploring the complexities of identity, family, and the internal struggles that arise when loyalties are divided and manipulated.

Tiranga Game Hack: Risks, Realities, and Responsible Gaming

The Tiranga game has captured the interest of many players with its engaging features and gameplay. However, with the rise in popularity comes the temptation to find shortcuts, leading to searches for "Tiranga game hacks." While the idea of hacking the game might seem appealing to some, it's important to understand the risks, ethical concerns, and consequences associated with such actions.
1. What is Tiranga Game Hacking?
Hacking in the context of the Tiranga game refers to the use of unauthorized methods or tools to gain unfair advantages, such as accessing premium features for free, bypassing in-game restrictions, or manipulating game outcomes. These hacks can be in the form of modified APK files, cheat codes, or third-party software.
2. Common Types of Tiranga Game Hacks
A. Modified APKs
What It Is: These are altered versions of the original Tiranga game app that claim to provide benefits like unlimited resources, unlocked levels, or ad-free experiences.
Risks: Downloading and installing modified APKs can expose your device to malware, viruses, and other security threats. These files are often hosted on untrusted websites, increasing the risk of downloading harmful software.
B. Cheat Codes and Scripts
What It Is: Some players look for cheat codes or scripts that can be injected into the game to alter gameplay. These might include speed hacks, auto-play features, or instant rewards.
Risks: Using cheats can lead to account bans, data theft, or other severe consequences. Game developers often monitor for suspicious activities and can take action against players who violate terms of service.
C. Third-Party Tools
What It Is: Tools like bots or hack tools are designed to automate gameplay or exploit vulnerabilities in the game. These tools often promise to make the game easier or more rewarding.
Risks: Using third-party tools not only violates the game’s terms of service but also puts your personal data at risk. These tools can access sensitive information on your device, leading to privacy breaches.
3. The Risks of Using Tiranga Game Hacks
A. Legal and Ethical Issues
Violation of Terms of Service: Most games, including Tiranga, have strict terms of service that prohibit the use of hacks or cheats. Violating these terms can result in account suspension, permanent bans, or even legal action in severe cases.
Ethical Concerns: Hacking undermines the fairness and integrity of the game, negatively impacting the experience for other players. It also disrespects the efforts of the developers who created the game.
B. Security Threats
Malware and Viruses: Many hacks are disguised as legitimate tools but are actually malware designed to steal personal information, track your activities, or damage your device.
Data Theft: Hacking tools may require access to your device’s data, potentially leading to identity theft, financial loss, or other serious consequences.
C. Account and Device Damage
Account Bans: Game developers actively monitor for hacking activities. If caught, your account could be banned, leading to the loss of all progress, purchases, and access to the game.
Device Malfunctions: Installing unauthorized software can cause your device to malfunction, leading to performance issues, crashes, or permanent damage.
4. The Reality of Tiranga Game Hacks
While some may claim that Tiranga game hacks are an easy way to gain advantages, the reality is far from that. Most of these hacks are either ineffective, illegal, or dangerous. They often lead to more problems than they solve and can ruin your gaming experience.
5. Responsible Gaming: The Better Alternative
A. Play Fair
Enjoy the Challenge: The real enjoyment of games like Tiranga comes from overcoming challenges and progressing through skill and strategy. Embrace the learning curve and enjoy the satisfaction of genuine achievement.
Respect Other Players: Fair play ensures that everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy the game. By playing without hacks, you contribute to a positive and competitive gaming community.
B. Explore Legitimate Resources
In-Game Purchases: If you're looking to enhance your gaming experience, consider supporting the developers by making in-game purchases. These purchases fund updates, new features, and the ongoing development of the game.
Use Tips and Guides: Instead of resorting to hacks, look for legitimate tips, strategies, and guides that can help you improve your gameplay and achieve your goals within the game.
6. Conclusion: The Dangers of Tiranga Game Hacking
Hacking the Tiranga game—or any game—poses significant risks to your device, personal data, and gaming experience. The appeal of quick rewards and easy victories is overshadowed by the potential for account bans, legal trouble, and security threats.
Responsible gaming, on the other hand, offers a much more rewarding and sustainable experience. By playing fair, you not only protect yourself from the dangers of hacking but also contribute to a healthier and more enjoyable gaming environment for everyone. Enjoy the game as it was intended, and remember that the true value of gaming lies in the challenge and the fun of honest play.

Exploring the Controversial Realm of Free AI Human Generators
In the era of rapid technological advancement, the boundaries between reality and fiction seem to blur more than ever. One such intriguing development is the emergence of ai human generator free, promising to create lifelike human images with the power of artificial intelligence. However, the notion of "free" AI human generators raises significant ethical and societal questions.
These AI human generators utilize sophisticated algorithms and deep learning techniques to generate highly realistic human faces. By analyzing vast datasets of human images, these algorithms can create new faces that are virtually indistinguishable from real ones. The potential applications of such technology span various industries, including marketing, design, and entertainment.
The allure of free AI human generators is undeniable. They offer accessibility to individuals and organizations that may not have the resources to invest in expensive software or hire professional designers. Moreover, they provide a quick and convenient solution for generating human-like imagery for various purposes, from website design to social media profiles.
However, the free aspect of these AI human generators raises several concerns. Firstly, the quality of the generated images may vary significantly. While some free platforms may produce impressive results, others may lack the sophistication and refinement of paid alternatives. This discrepancy could lead to misleading or subpar outcomes, particularly in professional settings.
Another concern is the potential misuse of AI-generated images for malicious purposes. With the proliferation of fake news and online deception, there is a risk that individuals may exploit AI human generators to create fake identities or propagate misinformation. These ai generate portraits images could be used to impersonate real people, deceive individuals, or manipulate public opinion, undermining trust in online content.
Moreover, the use of AI human generators raises important ethical questions regarding consent and privacy. When generating human-like images, these algorithms often rely on datasets that contain photographs of real individuals. Without proper consent mechanisms in place, there is a risk of infringing upon individuals' rights to control their likeness and personal data. Furthermore, the potential for deepfake technology to create highly convincing videos using these AI-generated images amplifies these concerns.
From a societal perspective, the widespread use of AI human generators could contribute to the commodification of human identity. By reducing the creation of human-like images to a simple algorithmic process, we risk devaluing the uniqueness and complexity of individual human beings. This commodification could have far-reaching implications for how we perceive and interact with images of ourselves and others in the digital realm.
Despite these concerns, it is essential to acknowledge the potential benefits of AI human generators when used responsibly and ethically. These tools have the potential to democratize access to visual content creation, empower individuals and businesses, and foster creativity and innovation. However, realizing these benefits requires careful consideration of the ethical implications and implementation of appropriate safeguards.
In conclusion, the emergence of free AI human generators represents a fascinating yet controversial development in the realm of artificial intelligence. While these tools offer unprecedented accessibility and convenience, they also raise significant ethical, societal, and privacy concerns. As we navigate this rapidly evolving technological landscape, it is crucial to approach the use of AI human generators with caution, mindfulness, and a commitment to upholding ethical principles and respecting human dignity.

Unveiling the Dark Secrets of Monarch Mind Control
In the realm of conspiracy theories and covert operations, few topics elicit as much intrigue and speculation as the concept of Monarch Mind Control. Allegedly a covert program employed by government agencies and shadowy organizations, Monarch Mind Control is said to involve the manipulation of the human mind, creating a state of mental slavery in its victims. While skepticism surrounds the topic, some claim that it is a sinister reality hidden in plain sight. Deliverance Ministry
Origins of Monarch Mind Control:
The term "Monarch" in Monarch Mind Control is believed to have originated from the use of butterfly symbols in the programming. Monarch butterflies undergo a metamorphosis, transforming from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally emerging as a butterfly—a metaphor for the alleged process of mind control victims breaking free from their original state. Some theorists trace the roots of Monarch Mind Control back to Nazi experiments during World War II and the work of scientists like Josef Mengele.
Programming Techniques:
Proponents of the Monarch Mind Control theory assert that victims are subjected to various techniques to fracture their personalities and create dissociation. These techniques may include trauma-induced mind control, electroshock therapy, hypnosis, and drug administration. The goal is to create multiple personalities or alter egos within the same individual, each responding to specific triggers or commands.
Symbolism and Triggers:
Symbols play a crucial role in Monarch Mind Control, with certain images and symbols believed to trigger programmed responses in victims. The use of butterflies, owls, keys, and other symbols in popular culture and media is often cited as evidence of the pervasive influence of this alleged mind control program.
Media and Entertainment:
Conspiracy theorists often point to the prevalence of Monarch Mind Control symbolism in popular media and entertainment as proof of its existence. They claim that certain celebrities may be victims of this program, forced to convey hidden messages or serve the agenda of their puppet masters.
Debunking and Skepticism:
It's essential to approach the concept of Monarch Mind Control with a healthy dose of skepticism. Many experts argue that the theories surrounding this topic lack credible evidence and are rooted in misunderstandings of psychological concepts such as dissociative identity disorder. Skeptics suggest that the prevalence of symbols in media can be explained by artistic expression, coincidence, or the tendency of the human mind to find patterns where none exist.
Conclusion:
Deliverance Ministry While the idea of Monarch Mind Control may captivate the imaginations of conspiracy theorists, it is crucial to separate fact from fiction. The lack of concrete evidence, coupled with the existence of plausible alternative explanations, makes it challenging to accept the theory as a proven reality. As we navigate the intricate web of conspiracy theories, it is essential to approach such claims with critical thinking and an understanding of psychological principles to distinguish between speculation and verifiable truths.

Blood and death and monsters
The tnt loop ran through 13.09 today, and I’ve been trying to process just how much it resembles 15.08, or at least “this point in current canon” at the time I’m writing this. With Dean and Cas staring down a portal to Purgatory, and 13.09 ending with Sam and Dean trapped in The Bad Place because of another portal, I feel like all the same themes and narrative undercurrents are at work again in mid-season 15.
“Dreamwalking,” and Kaia as a character, tied so powerfully to a version of herself in another world that every time she closed her eyes she found herself literally IN that world, but her alternate self not exactly doing anything to protect her from it, either... it’s interesting...
Jack “showing” Sam and Dean the “truth” about what was happening to Mary in the AU, thus motivating them to get there and save her as fast as possible, at all costs... Like Cas “showing” Michael the “truth” about Chuck, to hopefully motivate him to do what’s right and help them find a way to stop Chuck.
But Kaia’s role in this episode is fascinating, and it makes me 100% believe that if Wayward had gone to series, we would’ve had a resurrection of Kaia by the end of s1. And it makes me believe that Eileen may have been part of that... only now everything’s been smooshed up into Supernatural, and things are happening differently. But the themes are killing me here.
Her actions in this episode so closely mirror Eileen’s in 15.08 that it’s... super dark and on the nose. She just wanted to be left alone to do her thing, to protect herself the way she always had, like Eileen wanted to hunt and do her thing without interference from Sam. But Kaia was not acting entirely of her own will, since she was still powerless to her alternate self. Like Eileen was not free from Chuck’s meddling in her life, in luring Sam to Chuck. The “agreement” they reached after Sam nearly got himself killed following her in the first hunt in 15.08 pretty much guaranteed that Eileen would bring Sam along with her when she believed her friend was in danger. Just as Kaia was lured into the trap the angels laid for her, believing them to be her salvation (getting her away from Jack and the rehab facility), when they were only using her as bait for the Winchesters.
Which brings me to the title of this mess:
Kaia: It's not a gift. It's a curse. When Derek walked, he was free. He could go see beautiful things, to worlds that were paradises. I wish it was like that for me, but it's not. I only go to one place– the Bad Place. It's just... blood and death and monsters.
And then Jack showed her those “paradises” that Derek could see. He’s pretty good at convincing people to side with him by showing them “paradise.” That’s how Jack won Cas’s loyalty in 12.19, after all. But the point was, Derek was free to choose what he wanted to see, where he wanted to go. Kaia was only tied to this one horrific reality where another version of herself existed in this nightmare of blood and death and monsters.
Sounds... it sounds a lot like Purgatory.
[eta because I accidentally posted this before I was done... >.> Let’s not forget Chuck’s monster obsession, both in looking back at past canon from leviathans to s14 and AU!Michael’s plan to destroy the world via monster, and what little we know of Chuck’s Big Ending he’s working toward... blood and death and monsters.)
Where we were left staring at a rift into at the end of 15.08.
Kaia’s experiences were all too real, not “dreams.” She’s injured there, then she’s injured here. Almost like 10.11 and “Good and Dark Charlies” experiencing the same injuries. Like she split herself apart to visit that other world. I don’t know what this means for the metaphysics of it all, which I’m sure we would’ve gotten into more deeply in Wayward, but it’s a concept I feel is important to understanding Chuck’s larger creation in general. It’s all reflections of himself and his story. It’s all his creation. The Bad Place and the paradises, and everything in between.
Jack: If they get up here, they'll kill you all and take me. Kaia: No, they won't. You said I could help you find the door to another world, right? Jack: Yes. [The angels attack the sigil again] Kaia: Let's do it. Let's get out of here. Sam: Hey, can you take us to our mom? [The angels attack again] Dean: Can you do it?! Jack: I don't know. I think so. Sam: What if something goes wrong? [The boat shakes again] Dean: Something already is going wrong! Jack, do it.
And here we stand on the precipice again in 15.08, where something is already going wrong. Sam has been taken by Chuck, Dean and Cas are on the verge of leaping into Purgatory through a portal opened by Michael that they have to trust will remain open for 12 hours while they search for a flower that might or might not even exist.
It’s a lot. But it’s also a lot of 13.09.
(and bobo, who wrote 13.09 and 13.10 has also written 15.09... pray for us all)
#spn s15 spoilers#spn 15.08#spn 13.09#spiders georg of the tnt loop#s15 meta rewatch#it's spirals all the way down#i will never stop being angry that we were deprived of wayward#yes i know this is barely coherent but THEMES#identity and reality and free will and alternate realities and manipulation#because don't forget during all of this cas was locked in a cell and asmodeus had assumed his identity#and sam and dean had NO IDEA this whole time... so OWWWWW#what is even real... has been one of the main themes of dabb era overall
