i’m having thoughts about batman vs green arrow, and how the central characters shape the stories their supporting casts are allowed

like, in batman comics, bruce’s story is about being permanently shaped by a grief he can never move on from (his parent’s deaths, and later jason’s death). the premise of batman, bruce’s unyielding dedication to his mission, requires that bruce always be living in the shadow of his formative trauma, always responding to it. structurally, he can never be allowed to heal (because a happy bruce wayne isn’t batman), which means he can’t really grow. his supporting cast can develop and grow in their own right, but they can’t leave (bc they’re batman characters), so they stay stuck in the same unhealthy dynamics with bruce. this creates a narrative paradigm where positive change rarely sticks, cycles aren’t broken, and the easiest story to tell is a tragedy. bruce isn’t allowed a happy ending, so nobody who loves him gets one either.

now compare this with green arrow, where ollie’s stories are so often about having the humility, courage, and determination to take accountability for your mistakes and change for the better. transformative change is his whole deal! it’s the point of the island! and his relationships with his supporting cast reflect this. ollie messes up, he learns from it, and his relationships with other characters develop and improve accordingly. the point of the story is that ollie changes, making change possible for everyone. and so green arrow books present a paradigm where characters are allowed to grow in ways that stick, where harm can be learned from instead of brushed aside, and where happy endings aren’t guaranteed but do largely feel possible. yk?

Wednesday and the nightshades are studying at her place when suddenly, a sleepy blanket monster glomps the seer. The raven tries to keep it serious and continue studying while her friends are laughing at her, when Wednesday realizes something hard is pressing against her butt.

Enid's morning wood finds its place against Wednesday under the blanket, the werewolf pressing against her. Meanwhile, the Nightshade are none the wiser except for the fact Wednesday is blushing furiously, trying to keep a straight face.

It isn't until the nightshades leave does Wednesday shove Enid towards the couch.

The werewolf is smiling and the drowsiness in those eyes immediately dissapeared. Enid was awake and thus aware of what she was doing for the past hour.

This insufferable mutt-

"you're disgusting," Wednesday gasps, already off her pants as she positions herself properly on her wolf. "putting me in a situation like that-" A choked moan slips past her lips when Enid grasps at her waist and drags her down to the base in one fluid motion. "you're such a needy thi-ng!" she moans, digging her fingers into the shoulders of her lover.

Enid is smiling, uncaring off the insults and looking far too at peace as she grinds herself into Wednesday. One of her hands dip to ground an aching clit, rolling the thing against her thumb and loving the way Wednesday curls herself deeper into her arms.

Her roomie has always been attractive but when she looks like this? All crazed eyes, knowing exactly what she wants? Dressed in nothing but a shirt Enid is aware is hers?

"and you're beautiful," Enid murmurs, peppering kisses along that sharp jawline. "what a pretty doll, you were waiting for this weren't you?" before Wednesday could even sharply deny, her jaw tenses when Enid sharply thrusts, rubbing and pressing against that one spot that nearly has her combusting.

"You're made for this, 'day," Enid whispers as she lavishes slowly warming up skin with praise. "you're such a pretty thing, it's only right I ruin you."

Wednesday shakes her head, her own thighs shaking as her mind goes from clarity so something a bit more clouded.

"nuh uh," she says, breathy as she fully wrapped her arms around enid's neck. Shit this is exactly what she needed, to have Enid buried inside her, filling that aching need that's been persisting for hours.

Enid kisses her, a soft kiss with a tongue that laps the inside of her mouth and swallows every moan that Wednesday gives.

When they pull away there's a string of saliva then Enid giggles as she stands up, hoisting a squirming Wednesday in tow.

so ive been reading the events for twst all day. (like the dialogue for the stories)

SO. okay so i need to talk about halloween for a second--

( SPOILERS ) and for pomefiore they're in like the mirror hall and these mfs kept taking pictures INSIDE when its NOT ALLOWED (…bruh now people know what it looks like inside! what if theres like a flaw thats been caught on camera that'd help future criminal doers do something there!?)

anyway. so i was thinking of confiscating like phones. but so it doesnt get lost, or given to the wrong person.

this random pomefiore student being able to tag people with skin contact (example: passing the phone along, light touch on, say, the hand and the phone, and thus tagging and attaching them together through a line only they can see)

and it'd also help if say that same person did something malicious like 'hey, that's not your phone!' or 'i know that person!'

After a late night of working, you just wanted to come home, order some food, and go to bed. But when you opened your door and turned on your light, you were startled to find a man in a beige suit sitting in your entry living room.

You gasped and backed up half a step, your arms raised to fight. But then your deduction skills kicked in: man sitting, waiting, in a suit, with no visible objects or weapons to fight -- probably means he isn't looking for a fight.

“Who are you?” you asked, eyeing him, taking a step forward.

“I’ll be the one asking the questions,” he said with a haughty voice as he stood up.

Your eyes shifted left and right, trying to gauge what was going on. “Um, okay.”

“You and Sherlock Holmes.”

“What about us?” you asked.

“You spend an awful lot of time with him.”

“Yes I do. Why is that any of your concern?” you wondered.

“I have the floor, counselor.”

Your eyes narrowed on him. Who the hell was this?

“What is your intent?”

“My intent on... hanging out with Sherlock?”

“Mmm, yes.”

“Well... We’re kind of... dating so... My intent is to date.”

You shook your head. “Who are you?” you rhetorically asked as you peered at him. “An adversary of Sherlock’s wouldn’t care who I was... Not really. But… but a family member might. You’re Mycroft Holmes... Of course.” Slowly, you bobbed your head, putting the pieces together.

“Hmm so your deduction skills are as good as I’ve heard.”

“And your’s are clearly off the mark,” you noted. “If you are his brother, and you haven’t pieced together that we’re dating by now, then…” You shrugged, a smug look your face.

“Yes, well as I’m sure you’re aware, the idea of my younger sibling dating is hardly anywhere in the realm of reality for me.”

“Mmm, quite,” you agreed as you walked to your fridge to grab a drink.

“I know everything about his life. The fact of him having a girlfriend has not hit my radar as of yet.”

“So, why are you here?”

“I’ve been keeping a close watch on you for some time, Ms. Watson. I merely intended to know who my brother was spending so much time with and why.”

“Ah, over protective. He did say you worked in government.”

Mycroft nodded, his eyebrows going up to express agreement. “Yes, I do. So tell me, what do you want from my brother? Is it money?”

“No.”

“Fame?”

“No.”

“Ah, so you heard of me, maybe there is something you need expunged from a record? Something wiped clean and you thought I could do it if only you got close to him?”

“No. I’m a lawyer. I don’t have anything criminal on me, and I think you already know that since you’re somehow inside my apartment, and know my brother, and know I’m an attorney. I doubt there is little about me you don't know.”

“Keen,” he commented as he nodded once.

“So then why the third degree?”

“Because people like Sherlock don’t have romantic admirers, least of all ones who actually succeed. My brother hates sentimentality, with a burning passion. Typically if someone worms their way into his life, it’s a means to an end. A hidden agenda, usually of criminal intent. Thus I can’t imagine what you’ve done or said to get past his survival instinct of keeping to himself.”

You shrugged. “I was merely myself. I’m truthful with him, I tolerate him where most people don’t, I show him a good time, and I’m good to him.”

Mycroft stared at you for a moment. “Let’s say, for a moment, you’re telling the truth and you are in love with him.”

“Which I am,” you added confidently.

“Well, then let me make this perfectly clear. My brother does not care for people easily, but when he does, it’s a vigorous sensation that seems to take his senses over. You should know this from the way he seems to enjoy the company of your brother.”

You nodded side to side and half-shrugged.

“Which means, if this is true, and he does feel something for you, then you shall do your best not to hurt him.”

“Mycroft, I would never hurt him. It’s not my intention to. I love Sherlock, more than I’ve ever loved anyone I’ve ever been with. I would never do that.”

“Good. Because if you do, so help me, I can make you wish you never stepped foot onto Baker Street. I can make your life utter hell if you have any malintent on my brother or our family. You probably have figured out by now I have the power to do it, as well. Do I make myself perfectly clear?”

Your blood ran cold as you looked at him.

“Yes,” you quietly answered.

“Excellent. Then I shall leave you to your evening. Tell Sherlock I said hello.” With that, he breezed past you and left, making you feel as if you could breathe again. That man had the cool confidence unlike any you’d ever seen before.

and so like.. considering Jon's asexual, if they (Jon and Martin) ever did the thing, I'd think they'd take over the "Laughter During Sex" tag.

so im.. probably gonna leave. nsfw and jon far far away apart. because i mean i know you could just.. not make him ace. but like. ..no. that feels as cheap as turning characters trans just so they can have like straight sex. which theres nothing wrong with that in general because i mean 1. representation. 2. doing what makes you feel comfortable (like.. i mean id imagine if you had no idea how seggs worked youd have to ask a friend or something. and that gets awkward fast and thus its more comfy to just have what youre used to?) and etc etc but also haha it gets sexualized. so i perfectly understand that how some trans ppl might not be okay with that, just the same could be said for ace. i mean, there are two sides of a spectrum. for fucks sake im on the aromantic spectrum, it doesnt necessarily mean i dont feel any romantic attraction, but it still counts as on the spectrum, and therefore jon could be anywhere on that spectrum. he could be repulsed by seggs and find it gross or something, he could not have any desire to do so but doesnt have an opinion, he could not desire to do so but willling to do it with a partner, he could just enjoy making his partner feel good, he might just like fantasizing about it but hating it in practice, idfk theres a lot of different labels that nobody will know about, thats how it works, and things can vary a lot. and for obvious reasons no official source is gonna say what kind jon might be, its not even their business, which gives people a lot of creative liberty if they want to do anything with it. im just worried someone out there might have this stereotypical thought of what ace ppl are like and wrongly defending them, or maybe that the ppl themselves are uncomfortable with it or something like that. and i mean i cant speak for them, and heck maybe ill find out im on the ace spectrum who knows, but i still wouldnt be able to speak for them because i as a person, know i can feel and have romantic and sexual attraction, and that can be very different for people who dont have those same feelings or those who have no interest in it whatsoever. thus. to simplify it. my interpretation of ace jon is where he doesn't have any interest in it himself (or maybe he would be repulsed), but wouldnt mind doing it to make his partner feel good (there doesn't even have to be any penetration whatsoever), to do it for his partner, or to just enjoy the emotional closeness of it.

but im also kinda terrified im in the wrong here and this is a false interpretation thats not ace at all. so. yeah. just getting these thoughts out here.
