I can't believe TS has become an artist I have to sep their art from. I along with many other people looked up to her and loved her content and music to another level. I enjoyed analyzing her lyrics and I felt immense pride every time she achieved something. I was never blind to her problematic side or actions, but this really takes the cake and it's just straight up hurtful, as someone who is muslim and south asian.

She really advocated for such serious issues and when she did, she spoke of it with such passion and now this??? and she says it's the happiest she's ever been? No, his actions aren't hers and she's not responsible for them but who you associate yourself with says a great deal about you, and rn, she's publicly, boldly romantically associating herself with a man who constantly picks on islam and has admitted to enjoying adult content featuring black women being abused.

I really am having a hard time digesting this but ofc, these people don't know me and I don't know them beyond what's shown on screen. A bunch of angry tumblr posts and tags will not affect them whatsoever or push them to apologize or do anything else of the category, this is all just to feel lighter ourselves about this topic. I am not a TS anti fully but I'm incredibly dissapointed and idk if I can ever fully align myself with her again or call myself a swiftie but I appreciate and admire her artistry and the strength with which she dealt with her life's hardships. I can't look at the album I spent months saving up money for and spent like more than a 100 bucks on the same anymore and my heart goes out to everyone else who feels how I do and all the minorities and communities MH has bashed on.

i’m rereading robin hobb’s books, which i finished in december. i tried to read like five or six books, failed, and started rereading them ten days later. 

i’m also reading a collection of rupert brooke’s poetry. and a prayer for the crown-shy by becky chambers.

so i have auditory processing problems and over the years it’s gotten to where seeing movies in theaters largely isn’t enjoyable for me bc i miss so much. so i wait and watch movies at home where i can have subtitles (it’s too much of a fight to get them in theaters). on the rare occasion i see a movie in theaters it’s a book to movie adaptation bc well i already know what happens. so the last movie i saw in theaters was little women in 2019.

it’s early in the year yet so nothing has had the opportunity to significantly disappoint me. and to be disappointed in something you have to have had a shred of hope and expectation to begin with and i’m good at assuming the worst instead.

most of my talents are known factors about me. the closest i come to a hidden one is that i sing, because i hate singing for people.

Are you religious?

i was raised catholic. i haven’t set foot in a church service since 2010 bc that was when i was no longer forced to go. catholicism never leaves you alone so despite the fact that i have not a shred of actual faith in me, no intention of having a relationship with god, and actively avoid religious services, i also still have an obscene number of rosaries and love to visit catholic churches when they’re empty for a sense of calm and peace and wear relevant medals of saints when i’m having a rough go of it, as if st cecilia can actually help me with my poetry block or musical struggles.

What's something you wish to have at this moment? 

i’d like to have my full vocal abilities back lol. i had covid in december and the symptoms lingered for about a month and i’ve only just recently started trying to get my singing voice back to where it was and it has been a goddamn ordeal after so many weeks of not singing.

[REPORT] Multi-fandom Re-edited GIFs Reposter @kimsnamjoons / @girlssgeneration

Account @kimsnamjoons​​ (now @girlssgeneration as of 11/15) has been re-editing other content creators’ gifs from multiple fandoms and claiming them as their own since at least November 2017. Dayna was contacted by at least 5 gif-makers, other individuals, and admin Tiffany (11/05/18) over 2 weeks (10/22 to 11/05); and has blocked all of them. In November 2017 gif-makers also contacted Dayna, made call-out posts, and were also blocked.

Instead they continue to claim they make their own gifs when replying to asks and in personal posts on @kimsnamjoons​​ and their twitter account, @cutienamjoons. Further, they say that they feel “their” gifs are not appreciated, but they plan to continue reposting anyway. They repost as many as 7 compilation gif sets in a day.

You can see their reposts under their tag #dayna’s shit and #mine. If you see your work was reposted, you can report misattribution with this form in order to remove all reblogs of the post.

You can show your support for content makers by:

blocking @girlssgeneration​ to prevent accidentally spreading their reposts;

blacklisting ‘kimsnamjoons’ and ‘girlssgeneration’ using new xkit or tumblr savior web browser extension;

reblogging our report or sharing on Twitter;

contacting the users they follow and/or reblog from to block @girlssgeneration

sending an ask and/or DM @girlssgeneration to stop reposting and to delete their reposts;

contacting content makes whose work you recognize have been reposted.

On 11/05 I contacted Dayna @kimsnamjoons​ after receiving a reposting report on their account from 3 different users on 10/12, 10/28, and 10/31. These reports included links to multiple call-out posts made in October 2018 by other gif-makers. In response they tweeted (source):

I received no response and was immediately blocked, but Dayna did make personal comments about my DMs on their blog and (copy-pasted to) their twitter. I reblogged and responded to their comments on @btsgfx. Dayna then blocked @btsgfx​ and tweeted, lying to an audience of 0, that I called them out cause they’re a multi-stan instead of cause they’re a reposter (source).

Dayna seems to think blocking stops gif-makers from seeing their stolen gifs on their blog too (source).

This is not the first time a community of gif-makers have accused Dayna of re-editing and reposting. In November 2017, gif-makers also contacted Dayna, made call-out posts, and were blocked. In response to being called out, Dayna started adding their own watermark to reposted gifs (source).

To see the numerous call-out posts (including some with evidence of their own) search for text posts in #kimsnamjoons. They have consistently until now (11/14) claim that all re-edited and reposted gifs are their own and despite the “undeserved hate” they plan to continue “posting their own gifs” (source).

Evidence of Reposting

Dayna’s gif sets have all been compilations sets with gifs of different video source quality, sharpness, coloring, frame rate, and at times even gif sizes. These are obvious giveaways of reposting, however below we overlaid Dayna’s re-edited gifs on top of the original gif-makers’ as undeniable evidence. They match frame by frame with the same number of frames, pixel content, and are cropped smaller than the original gifs.

To prove the below overlaid gifs are Dayna’s gifs we have overlaid, we link OP’s gif set and Dayna’s gif set.

There are a few gifs that were identified where Dayna did not even re-edit and/or crop so you can not tell the difference when just viewing the overlaid gif (not as a PSD).

Evidence of Inadequate GIF Skills

Even though it’s nearly impossible for two gifs created by different gif-makers of the same scene to look the same, Dayna’s answer to an anon ask shows they don’t even know how to make gifs at the quality level of the gifs they stole.

They claim they use .mp4 files for their gifs, but some of the above stolen gifs were created using .ts files that can only be downloaded using magnet links (very different from just converting online videos to .mp4 files).

To make gifs from videos, Dayna uses ezgif.com, which makes it impossible to delete duplicate frames or manually delete undesired frames. All gif-makers on PS delete frames to some degree.

Given they add text and crop using ezgif.com and gifgifs.com, they do not know how to sharpen using Photoshop or Topaz, a relatively complicated PS plug-in, which does not explain how their gifs differ in sharpness.

For coloring gifs, Dayna seems to only use coloring PSDs they download, which makes it impossible that their coloring matches with gif-makers who do not use coloring PSDs or post their own.

Edit (11/04): Dayna posted a video of them making a gif (view here) which provides further evidence that (1) they know how to make a gif but choose to repost anyway and (2) do not have the adequate knowledge of gif-making and Photoshop to make the gifs they reposted for all the above reasons we listed.

Ok,, ok so I'm feeling a Something, and would just like to write this out.

Theres the One Person in ts sides fandom with their name going around bc they're a hateful blog that has nothing else to offer atm but well. Hate. (Btw if you do see the posts with their url I do recommend immediate block and move on)

However, what gave me a kick was.. who they decided to target specifically? Almost all the targets of hate were lesser known content creators while- from what I saw- popular ones were p much left alone or given reblogs without any comment at all,, (well. Okay. They really tagged Joan and Thomas in a terrible original post, like they Did That, but other than that everyone else? Not too known.)

Idk, it's just,, odd really. You get someone who's gutsy enough to reblog with terrible comments but with just enough common sense to not mess with big blogs. And theres like, other things that just dont really make sense, but then again when does hate ever make sense,

Anyway uhh I do like how the community handles it, though. Just block and move on as God intended I suppose

unrelated to anything but yknow i feel like we need updated tagging etiquette? like before tumblr implemented tag blocking we could all have our own systems of tagging for tws/cws as long as the first thing in the tag was the word that needed to be blocked, and most ppl add slashes or dashes to their tags so they 1. won’t show up in tags and 2. won’t have like, a directory of triggering content on their blogs, i heard was the other concern once

but now tumblr has tag blocking but it. blocks only specific tags. like if this had come before episode 19 of collins mmbc came out, and somebody had the tag “blood” blocked thru tumblr and didn’t use ts/xkit, literally none of the... start... of that episode... would’ve been blocked for them because tumblr wouldn’t detect the tag “blood /” 😬

so i could rely on my followers to block the “blood /” tag as well, but that’s unfair to you guys because then you’d have to block “blood for ts”, “blood tw”, “blood/”, etc etc, since i’m most likely NOT the only person you follow lmao (and that’s the same reason old tagging etiquette was to tag, for example, “blood tw” rather than “tw blood”--so people only needed to block one thing)

Here's an idea: Remus being the brother who lies about hating Roman, but Roman meaning it. And he feels his heart sink when Deceit one day angerly storms up to him, crying, and blaming him for Remus ducking out bc he couldn't handle the fact his brother truly hated him. And Roman noticing that he himself was losing color and motivation and creativity because his brother was gone, probably for good

Deceit’s hands shook as his eyes slipped over the note for the fifth time, and he clenched the paper tighter. He wasn’t sure if he was trembling from anger or sadness. Perhaps a mix of both, as it felt like someone had stabbed him in the back with a serrated knife and was twisting it ever so slowly. By the stars, he was furious as his gaze was forced to one sentence in particular.

He hates me.

The note was written in mostly a dark green, but that line in particular was a bright and stunning red. And it set a fire raging in Deceit’s heart that when he read it, there was no lie. Those three measly words alone were the thing that made Remus want to leave. They made Remus duck out to a point that not even Thomas would be able to find him. Deceit knew, because he’d tried to sense even a speck of Remus’s presence anywhere in the mind palace.

Nothing.

He took a deep breath, but it did nothing to help him and instead a sob tore through his being, and he covered his mouth quickly. Before Deceit even realized, he was up and storming out of the dark commons in search of a certain prince.

He didn’t say anything to Logan, or Virgil, or even Patton when they called out for him when he passed. He didn’t answer their questions. Instead, he walked right up to Roman, who was sitting perched atop the couch with a notebook, trying to come up with ideas. Roman barely had any time to look up before a fist collided with his jaw and he fell from his perch.

“What the fuck?!” Roman screeched, wincing as pain flooded his mouth and he looked up. Deceit’s chest was heaving, and the tears only pooled down his cheeks faster.

“Remus is gone because of you, you dipshit!”

Silence fell upon the whole mind palace. The others looked at one another, unsure if they should get involved. Roman furrowed his brow.

“What?”

“You heard me!” Deceit thrust the note at Roman, before crossing his arms and trying to get his breathing under control. “He’s gone, and if I’m right, there’s no way of getting him back. I hope you’re happy with yourself, Creativity.”

Roman looked over the note, and he paled. But when he looked up, Deceit had already sunk out without another word to anyone.
