little things i appreciate about lovebrush
the in game justification for all of the card art is that the mc draws them herself. the game also confirms she will alter aspects for "artistic interpretation" so all card art, no matter how ridiculous or fan servicey, is affected by MC Vision
know how otome boys tend to be good at most things? there's an in universe explanation. four of the five boys are paragons: they appear in every single universe and will protect the world in times of crisis. it makes sense they'd be good at a lot of things. the fifth ml is immortal and. well. has had time to practice a lot of skills.
mc is allowed to be good at art, without any of the mls outshining her. even cael, who is also a skilled artist, states that mc's art has emotion and feeling that he is incapable of capturing. they both share a hobby and have different strengths and weaknesses, rather than cael being The Insanely Talented Artist and mc being the rookie artist who kinda sucks and needs to learn how not to suck from cael
lack of favoritism. there is no canon boy. and there is no "we can't say a boy is canon but you can tell we reeeaaalllly want this guy to be the canon one" boy. each ml has a universe where they are the most important final route, amongst several other things.
you can make your in game profile picture the mc, as well as several other npcs who have their own cards. you can also raise affinity with npcs, unlock scenes for a few important ones, and get rewarded for befriending them
fanservice takes a back seat to plot and characterization. even blatant fanservice cards tend to be in character or solely initiated by the mc (with the mls going along to make her happy). if neither of these apply, there's usually an in universe explanation as to why (typically because it's an au where the whole point is that it's exaggerated and ooc)
your friends list in game is actually useful - you can use an assist card from anyone on your friends list to help beat different levels!
the mls all have flaws that are seamlessly tied into their characterizations, and act as an extension of their virtues rather than cheaply tacked on last minute additions.
don't like a particular story line or route? there's several canonical timelines where none of it even happens. the world is YOUR oyster.

Reworking my neurodivergent Fuuta post because I had more to add and wanted it in one place 👍It started out just silly thoughts and projection but I have a lot of evidence now??? It feels pretty solid!
🔴 He holds to an overwhelming sense of right, wrong, rules, justice, etc. It’s a system that makes sense to him (you learn to apologize before anything else, right?) and he’s obsessed with it. He's an extreme rule follower. He's obviously careful so he's not called out online, but even inside Milgram. He follows Es' orders naturally. Even though they’re silly, in the minigrams he’s repeatedly reminding people of the rules about requesting items. Even though he'd been shown to voice thoughts about escaping, he refuses, and is too much of a stickler that he won’t even let other people request things considered dangerous.
🔴 He takes things very literally, most notably some of the interrogation questions. In both his vds he’s pretty particular about describing his involvement, taking a long time to admit he could be a killer because his situation falls pretty far out of its normal definition.
🔴 He’s shown to be intensely lonely: sitting alone, walking alone, watching others from the outskirts, but thriving online where the social rules are different. He has trouble identifying/defining friendships, choosing to focus on the sharing of interests and excitement.
🔴 However, he does find a group that accepts him and listens to him -- and that feeling of belonging becomes intoxicating. The typical “gets a taste of doing something correctly but then gets carried away and crosses a line in excitement”
🔴 He doesn’t think hard work can get him anywhere in society, he doesn’t have any goals, he struggles at school, he wants to just go with the flow -- aka, burnout from trying so hard in a society that isn’t made to accommodate you. Instead of focusing on that, he loses himself in fictional worlds of heroes and villains. He sees connections in everyday life, occasionally getting so lost in them that thoughts of them bleed into reality.
🔴 He's bad at lying. Or, he has to deal with people pointing out nonsensical body language cues to make assumptions about his emotions (which is just as much a neurodivergent experience, unfortunately).
🔴 I know all the prisoners have some kind of act they put up to cover up their true emotions, but it’s still so obvious how he lashes out in anger instead of properly processing/expressing his legitimate fear of the entire situation.
🔴 Extreme restlessness when waiting in an empty room all alone
🔴 This may be more personal interpretation than evidence (because I don’t know how it holds up in the original Japanese), but his line in Muu’s bday timeline just struck me as someone who isn't usually accepted or accommodated for when they're feeling down.
🔴 Also. Transed Gender. 🏳️⚧️

do you have tips on drawing robots/mecha?
augh I really do wish i could have like a really good and thought out tutorial but honestly I don't even know how I learned WAUUHH
ummm I think if I had any tips that I personally had to share which isnt a lot
1. try focusing on bolder geometric shapes!! it REALLY helps to sell the mechanical look. organic things tend to have a lot of soft irregular shapes, so deviating from that helps makes things look inorganic. also, try and picture things as a 3d model in your mind if you can! (if you can't, that's alright! people's imaginations work differently, some people can picture things, some people can't. that's just what I personally do)
2. exaggerate your parts and proportions to your hearts content!! robots and mecha are an excuse to really go crazy with things!! while something like drawing humans would typically have sort of a 'set' anatomy and proportions (varying on art style of course) mecha isn't really bound by any set of 'rules' especially if you don't care about being realistic!! (which i dont HEHE)
3. study and try and learn from some of the details of other mecha art. watch/play/consume media that focuses on mecha/robots like gundam or things like transformers, etc. other things that are good to study is real machinery, dolls, and real organic anatomy in general. i'd probably recommend searching some terms like "how to draw mecha/robots" on here and seeing what other tips more experienced artists have
4. PRACTICE!!!!!!! this should be like the tip ever for anything at all. im only able to draw like i am now because i spent a good few years drawing almost nothing but transformers which sort of forced me to learn. don't stop trying even when things look 'wrong' because fucking up is how you get better at Not fucking up
here's a snippet of like some of the first mecha art i can find in my files from back in 2021, you can tell i wasnt really confident in my shapes at all at the time, but keeping at it gave me the ability to improve
(obviously none of these are concrete rules pls dont take them as such!!! i also HEAVILY encourage finding lessons elsewhere because beyond generic primary/middle school art classes i have never taken any sort of art education ever and I have no idea what im talking about. i'm entirely self taught, and i've also rarely done serious studies on my own. bad, i know WAUUUGH.)

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
The law of assumption is a universal law that says what you assume to be true is what will manifest in your reality. This means that your beliefs are the basis of your physical experience.
𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤?
In order to manifest, all you need to do is believe that you already have what you want. It seems counterintuitive, but the reason we do this is because our subconscious mind does not know what is real and what is imagined.
༉‧₊˚✧ ↳ This means that if you affirm that you always get compliments, even if you have never gotten compliments before in your life, your subconscious mind believes you and reflects that onto your 3D reality.
Your subconscious mind cannot distinguish your daydreams from your physical experiences, which is why the only rule you need to manifest is to think as if you already have that which you want to manifest.
By focusing on the thoughts and the experience of already having what you want, your consciousness shifts to a reality in which you already have it.
Manifestation is not magic, it is the most natural thing we experience as conscious beings. Manifestation is using your power to be aware of your consciousness' different experiences in different realities and moving your conscious mind to the reality that matches what you are believing.
If this seems daunting, don't worry. It's actually very simple. We shift constantly. Every time we make a new decision, change a belief, or even think thoughts that would align with another reality, we shift. You will never stop shifting.
The reason why you don't notice when you shift is that most shifts are so small that you wouldn't notice a change. This is because it is not common to change our thoughts and beliefs so drastically. The 3D seems so real and unchangeable to most people that they don't even know it's possible to change. 99% of your shifts are going to be completely unnoticeable because you are aware of this present reality.
There are infinite realities with infinite possibilities. There is a reality in which you have everything you want, so in order to manifest your desires, you just need to focus on how you would think and what your experience would be like if you already had everything you want. Manifestation is really as simple as that.
𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰
𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 (𝐬𝐩) : ̗̀➛ the person you are manifesting to be in any sort of relationship with you (could be platonic, romantic, etc.).
𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 : ̗̀➛ consistently thinking thoughts and acting as though you already manifested what you desire by affirming, visualizing, and understanding that what you do in the 4D will be reflected onto the 3D).
𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 : ̗̀➛ not giving up on your manifestation no matter what.
𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 : ̗̀➛ The old story is the story of your life and of yourself that you previously believed in. It's usually very attached to the 3D and circumstances that are quite limiting. This is what we aim to move away from by focusing on better circumstances and our ideal versions of life (the new story).
𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 : ̗̀➛ This is our ideal version of life. We focus on this new version in order to manifest it as our new reality. We usually ignore or attempt to forget the old story in favor of the new story, usually by working on our self-concept with affirmations and persistence. By changing our internal reality (the 4D and our self-concept), we are therefore able to completely change our lives (the 3D, physical outer world).
𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
The 3D : ̗̀➛ Your physical reality. The reality you experience every day, where you experience the 5 senses. It is the reflection of the 4D.
The 4D : ̗̀➛ Your imagination, your subconscious mind. This is the basis of the 3D reality. Since the 3D is just a reflection of what you believe in your 4D, by experiencing your desire in the 4D (such as by visualizing), then it is already yours. It has no choice but to manifest in your 3D reality.
𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭
The meaning of your self-concept is a bit self-explanatory. It is your conception of yourself; or, the way you view yourself and the beliefs you have about yourself.
For example, if you have a lot of negative beliefs about yourself, then you are continuously affirming into your 4D, and therefore, 3D reality, those negative qualities and beliefs. These will keep you from manifesting positive things into your life unconsciously ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ notice how I didn't say "consciously" because you don't need a good self-concept to manifest purposefully, it just won't be as effortless in comparison!
If you have a good self-concept, then you are affirming good things about yourself into your 4D and 3D, meaning it takes a lot less effort to manifest specific things into your life (and also, some things will simply manifest effortlessly and spontaneously).
You don't need a perfect self-concept to manifest. However, manifesting becomes much easier and quicker when you work on your self-concept regularly. It also just improves your daily life, by making you more confident, feeling safer, and understanding your power as the god of your reality.
Most people use affirmations or subliminals when working on their self-concept. The point is to focus on thoughts that improve your confidence in yourself but most importantly in your power to manifest whatever you desire.
𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Affirmations are short phrases that are repeated in order to trick your subconscious into thinking that those phrases you are saying are your own true thoughts. Your subconscious mind is not able to tell whether or not what you are saying is true, which is why affirmations and other methods work so well.
Most affirmations start with the phrase "I am..." Some examples include: I am the operant power, I am perfect, I am intelligent, etc.
You do not need to affirm 1000 x a day to manifest. You can affirm only once and still receive your desire instantly. But that all depends on your self-concept.
𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐬
𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ short phrases that begin with "I am" that are in the present-tense in order to make you feel as though you already have your desire.
𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ a kind of journal entry that is written in the present tense in which you write about getting your desire. This helps you to be as detailed as you want and to really put yourself in the position of already having your desire.
𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ a scene you replay in your mind in which you are receiving your desire or you already got your desire. If you are unable to visualize, you can imagine the voice of your friend telling you how surprised they are that you manifested your desire, or your sp telling you how much they love you, etc. or anything else, of course depending on what you are manifesting.
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ The void is a place in which you can instantly manifest all your desires, BUT it is not the only way to instantly manifest. You can go to it by reaching a deep meditative state in which you relax both your body and your mind while affirming either "I am" or "I am in the void" or any others that you may choose. You can use any shifting method, such as the Raven method to get to the void as well.
𝐯𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ Vaunting is basically saying a lot of affirmations together in the form of a conversation. Vaunting is very fun and it helps when you don't want to be monotonously reading a list of affirmations every day. It also feels much more natural, since you're saying it as if you're telling someone about yourself or your manifestations. I like to vaunt when I work on my self-concept! To read more about vaunting, read Hera's post (@sexyandhedonistic).
𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫
ੈ♡˳ You are the sole power in your reality. This means that no one can manifest harm upon you, no one can manifest your sp, and no one can manifest for you. No one is more powerful than you in this reality that you are conscious in.
ੈ♡˳ Your intrusive thoughts do not manifest. Only your dominant beliefs manifest. Beliefs are repeated or deep-rooted thoughts, which is why we affirm or visualize (in order to experience those thoughts of already having your desire).
ੈ♡˳ Being depressed, anxious, or mentally ill does not keep you from manifesting. You can manifest while mentally ill.
ੈ♡˳ You do not have to be happy to manifest.
ੈ♡˳ You. Can. Manifest. Anything. Take hold of your power over your own reality and remove the need to constantly ask for validation from others. If you are always asking "can I..." or "is it really possible..." then you are not truly believing in your power.
Please let me know if you have any other questions! ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ꕥ
