before manifestation

I used to be really insecure abt everything, my mum wasn’t in my life anymore because she lost custody of me n my brothers when we were young, I always hated how I looked, how tall I was, how damaged my hair was, how skinny I was and when my grandma forced me to shave my head life became worse (my hair grew back now tho lol) my dad worked 2 jobs to keep us stable but he did do everything in his power to make us happy like putting me n my older brother in a good private school so we can get good studies even so I had really bad grades & my friend group would always skip classes which encouraged me 2 do the same (ofc it isn’t their fault) I knew abt subliminals n manifestation then but I didn’t really know how to act on it.

after manifestation

after I started believing n myself n one day I said “yk what todays the day where I change and ik I can have a better life and I have the power to do it.” so I started journaling, Pilates, listening 2 subs & manifesting. a month later my life has completely changed !! I grew out my hair 2 my lower back it’s super long and my curls are actually healthy, I grew out my lashes a lot, I used to be 5’9 and now I’m 5’7, my skin is clearer & a lot glowy, my friends always compliment on how good I smell even when I don’t put in perfume 🫠 I don’t sweat as much as I used 2, my teeth are straighter i physically cant grow hair on my body anymore (ik random) & I have my desired body. my dad is currently building a double story house AND I HAVE MY OWN BATHROOM 🤭🤭 it kinda gives tsitp house n it’s in a rich neighbourhood. my dad got a new job he only works 1 now and the job pays him a lot of money, I have so many makeup products, perfumes & clothes my amazing step mom is moving in with us when the house is built, i got a cat, a new car and this new guy who came this term asked me out on a date, i said maybe cus my dad would NEVER let me go on a date but I’ll try forcing it ofc

You sat up in your small bed, you hopped up to say good morning to Mike. He was the only person in the world that mattered to you.

You walked into the kitchen and was greeted with the smell of bacon, you wrapped your small arms around him. He looked down at you, having not noticed you were there before.

He patted you on the back and returned to cooking. "Hi mike" you giggled, "morning y/n/n. How'd you sleep?" He asked you.

"Good" you answered, "good." He responded

"Thats what I just said" he chuckled at your comment, you were very sassy, of course.

"But i gotta go to work soon, okay?" He said strictly, pointing the spatula at you.

"Uuoohh, but why?" You complained "because, we need money right?" You groaned in response, you ate your breakfast with max instead. (Rude)

there was one hour until Mike got home, you were playing with your dolls when you got the idea.

he works too hard, so you thought to treat him with a little something, you made him a very nutritious meal (microwaved mac n' cheese) and drew him a warm bath, overflowing with bubbles.

You also made a small fort in the living room, facing the tv. When you heard Mike's car pull in the driveway you ran out to him. You opened his door for him, and led him inside by your side.

You ran into the kitchen, passing the living room, Mike saw your fort and pointed at it. "Whats that?" He asked, but was quickly pulled away by you.

"Youre not allowed to see that yet." You said as you dragged him into the kitchen and sat him down. He chuckled as you sat across from him, a fork and knife in both hands, smiling from ear to ear.

You both ate your meals and you led him to the bathroom. He looked down at you, and kneeled down to hug you.

You shut the door and waited in the living room. He eventually emerged from the hall in a comfy sweater and soft pants.

He climed into the fort after you signaled for him too come in. He lied down on his stomach beside you, you both continued to watch cartoons for a while.

You rested your head on his shoulder, he wrapped his arms around you tight.

He pecked you a few times before taking one of the many blankets in the fort and putting it over both of you.

You snuggled into his chest, his warmth comforting you as you listened to his heartbeat, you fell asleep soon after.

The next morning after he left, you went out with max to surprise him, you had been saving up for months to buy him this. You handed the cashier tons of quarters to pay.

You folded it neatly and set it in a small gift bag. When he got home you gave it to him immediately, shoving it in his face.

He took it out carefully as max left to go home. He gasped as he read it. "Do you like it?" You asked as he kept staring at the hoodie that also had the words 'best big bro' on it.

"Do i like it? Of course i do! I like everything you give me!" He said picking you up. "But, how'd you get it baby?"

"Ive been saving up on my allowance! And searching the streets for some loose change" you said in a raspy voice, making a funny face as well.

He put it on and you both ordered a pizza, and you gave the delivery man the last quarter you had as a tip.

You ate three pieces before you complained about being to full. You fell asleep in Mikes lap while he was playing with your hair. He picked you up and tucked you into bed. Placing a kiss to your forehead.

He went to sleep smiling, still wearing the hoodie, of course he wouldn't tell you that he worked at the shop you bought it from and saw you get it for him but, he was still over the moon nonetheless.

today was a very hard day. you don’t know how your mind got to this point. the mirror was provoking you. you were feeling a little bit bad about yourself lately. you lost your appetite.

your boyfriend, seokmin had invited you to his house for lunch. he had been cooking incredibly dishes for you. you agreed of course because you miss him a lot. you drove over to your boyfriends house with a little bit of fear.

you knew seokmin could read you perfectly. he knew when you felt even a little bit off. you arrived shortly with a sigh. you knocked on the door trying to shake your negative thoughts away. he opens the door with a big smile.

“hi angel.” he pulls you in quickly.

“you got here at the perfect time! i just finished cooking our delicious lunch.” he pulls you into a hug as you look over to see the food already plated. your heart drops a little but you just figured you can say you’re not hungry or something.

“oh! seok i’m not really feeling hungry but maybe i’ll eat later.” you smile at him softly as he looks at you for a second before nodding.

“oh alright- i thought when i texted you earlier you said you haven’t eaten today?” you don’t look him in the eyes fully as you shrug. he just chuckles before grabbing both of your plates.

“you’re not skipping meals right love? eat something.” his voice is soft as he sits you down next to him.

“minnie- i’m really not hungry it’s okay.” he shakes his head quickly.

“what’s wrong angel? you always eat lunch when i cook it for us.” his hand is on your side gently. his full attention is on you. you thought that you could at least get 10 minutes without him catching you feeling not the best today.

“nothing is wrong seok- i just really don’t want to eat anything right now.” he sighs at you but nods his head.

“okay- but you know you can talk to me. i won’t judge you at all. you can tell me what’s wrong.” you feel like you could cry. his voice is so comforting but it makes you really sad to hear.

you don’t want him to worry about you but you know he will no matter what. you know he doesn’t have a reason to judge you or your appearance. he always makes sure its known that he thinks you’re very beautiful.

“well- minnie i just haven’t been feeling the best about myself lately. i’m having a hard time not thinking about weight every time i eat. i just have really low self esteem.” he listens to you closely as you open up to him.

he feels happy that you feel comfortable enough to talk to him about your true, very real feelings that anyone can feel. he loves how vulnerable you are with him.

“i don’t know how much words can help you feel better but you are so beautiful. it wouldn’t matter how much you ate or how much you didn’t eat you are an amazing person. you are not your appearance at all. even though your appearance is absolutely perfect to me. you are the best person on the inside. you’re beautiful no matter what to me. i really wish you could see yourself how i see you. i know how it feels not have a hard time with food and i just want to say that you are doing perfect the way you are. you don’t have to change those habits at all to be beautiful. im not trying to say you shouldn’t feel this way im just telling you how i see you and don’t feel like you have to always be okay with yourself because i’m not always okay with myself either. just know that i’m always here for you and i will continue to be here every time you feel like this. i will always be here to tell you how perfect you are.”

you literally couldn’t hold the tears in anymore. you were sobbing in front of him. he was quick to wrap his arms around you. he hug was so comforting you didn’t ever want him to let go.

“don’t cry my love. i mean it you are completely valid for how you feel.” he can’t let you catch a moment to stop your tears. you were so thankful for him. he always knew the perfect thing to say to help you feel better.

“can w-we eat seok?” you say in between sobs as you pull away to look at him. he kisses your head with a nod.

“of course angel. i love you okay?” he rubs your cheek as he hands you your utensils.

“i love you more minnie.” you wipe your tears as you focus on the food. you already feel better about eating just with his presence. you truly wouldn’t know what you’d do without seokmin. he is truly everything you had wished for.

What’s Estinien’s and Io’s favorite thing to do together in the modern AU? Does it change after they get together? How’s it different from canon?

AAAAAAAAAAAA THANK YOU FOR ASKING!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry i've slept on this for a few days. it's been a hectic week and i was spinning this in my mind to get through the horrors 💗

i feel like the simple answer is that they just like being together. almost every activity is better if they can do it together because they just like being around each other. there's a very distinct comfort they feel with each other that makes hard things easier, mundane things more fun, and unpleasant things worth it.

but that's not what's being asked!

io and estinien enjoy taking walks together, specifically the kind where they might get a little lost or turned around for an hour or two. a chance to ignore their phones and take in their surroundings, find a new favorite place to eat, a museum they haven't visited before, or somewhere far enough off the beaten path that they kinda feel like tourists exploring their own city. or doing this with a drive if they have enough free time. they talk a lot during these little adventures, covering surface-level topics and deeper, more emotional things too.

i think this extends to things like going grocery shopping together, or a late-night beer run too? idk, it's just nice to walk and talk together.

they love cooking at home together! they do it at least once a week. often they're making old favorites (i watched yellowstone recently and there was a scene of a character making his partner a breakfast his now-deceased mom made him and... it has taken over my brain), or one of them might suggest a new recipe and they'll experiment with it. io is very organized when working on a task, and her taste is a shade more refined. estinien has more practical kitchen skills (so handy with a knife, doesn't burn the rice), and his palette is extremely adventurous even if he's not naming individual ingredients.

they also really like learning from each other when they can? io teaches estinien more about music and plants (enough to help keep hers alive). estinien walks her through sports if she has questions while they're watching things together, and he helps her optimize workouts (that harp is heavy after all).

okay well, i've had a margarita and could ramble all night so bye! ty ily bye!

editing to add: they enjoy the same kinds of things in canon, with the addition of fighting together + trying to read together (io will often read faster than estinien and just. forget they're doing that and leave him in the dust. but he doesn't mind because they're usually cuddling and he like her reactions to the story).
