current home (when I first shift there) - an aparment in a somewhat busy street, big rooms and windows, I imagine our apartment having 2 stories, my room and bathroom being in the second one and the living room, kitchen, second bathroom and my moms room being in the first. I have my own bathroom with a big bath AND shower. we have a big pool outside. theres a farmers market nearby that I go to buy strawberries from every day. my room might also have a little balcony

future home - my own house in a mountain town where everyone knows everyone and we have dinner parties together where anyone that lives there is invited to every week. the house has a big garden full of life as well as a river that no one really knows of close by so i can swim alone, peacefully every day. has a cozy, whimsical, peaceful vibe to it. big windows, big rooms. also imagining 2 stories for this house. I want some sort of cool addition room like a sun room or art room with a reading nook. also loads of plants everywhere around the house

hi hi!! so i headcanon that clovis's mom was originally from france (hence his very french name) and moved to new york under the guidance of hypnos through dreams in order to get his son to camp without being too far away from his mama. his mom speaks almost solely french and very little english so clovis grew up speaking french AND english since he attended public schooling before going to camp and switching to be a year round camper after he became the head counselor of his cabin.

i imagine they are very close. his mother had to be very attentive with clovis due to his narcolepsy and hypersomnia. as a baby and toddler, it was often difficult to figure out if he needed to be fed or was sick etc. because he slept so much, and he also was slower to learn how to walk and hit other developmental milestones because of that. due to his mother speaking little to no english, as clovis got older, he often stayed by her side when he wasnt at school to help translate.

i have two ideas for what his mother does career-wise. one idea is that she works in a library which is why and where clovis obtained a ton of his knowledge about mythology aside from his dreams. the one i default to though is that she owns a small bakery (nearby a library) where she handmakes everything. clovis used to "work" there as well, usually to translate, but he grew up around his mother's baking so he is actually a very good baker! not many people know this since he's usually asleep which is a tragedy truly. now that his mom can speak and understand english a bit better and was also able to get enough funds to hire a translator once clovis became a year round camper, clovis doesnt venture down there too often. every once in a while though, he will ask for someone (usually nico) to go with him to visit his mom for a bit.

his mom has met and greatly enjoys the people he has befriended including but not limited to annabeth, nico, will, and lou ellen. she's very chatty and very generous so she often tries to convince clovis and his friends to stay for a homecooked dinner or spend the night. she also still has clovis's bedroom all set up and cozy for whenever he decides to drop by, just in case.

also, chiron actually helps clovis's mom out on the down low by allowing her to take some of the camp's strawberries for her baked goods under the agreement that she will send some over sometime which she is more than happy to do!

as stated above, i think clovis has, at the very least, weekly dream check-ins with his mom. he might not always have a lot to share but his mom adores him and listens to every word. on rare occasions, sometimes even clovis's half-siblings, his friends, or hypnos himself will stumble/be pulled into these check-ins and they'll all have a lovely lil hangout sesh.

but YEAH!! clovis loves him mama, and his mama loves him!!

💘 MIPHLINK!!! Do I have to say it? Absolutely 110% Miphlink. Honestly they are a pairing that I love more than all the other ships I have ever shipped, and I come back to them whenever other hyper fixations fizzle out or I want something comforting. I love them both so much. AoC is one of my favourite zelda games for that reason. (BoTW too, but the tragic lovers vibe is so sad)

Skyward Sword Zelink, a little bit, I wasn’t head over heals for them, but SS Zelda reminded me a fair bit of Mipha (if Mipha had been brought up in a less dangerous time and with less royal duties they would have probably been more similar), so that was that! 

I really wish I shipped Revali with someone, because I love the birb because he is stupid and fun to draw, initially I was a pining Miphvali shipper, but like, I wasn’t a massive fan of that, so maybe ZelVali? Some people ship that, and I’ve got to say the Revali and Zelda talking scene is one of my favourite cutscenes in BoTW, not to mention Zelda’s dialogue to Revali; If not romantic, definitely platonic. 

Teba and Saki are the adorable birb parents so I quite like their couple dynamic? Im not really the biggest shipper outside of Miphlink tbh.

I honestly have no idea? Probably a Hylian (boring answer sorry!), but maybe a Rito. I love the decoration styles, and bright colours, and also they live in a cool climate and I do not like hot weather. So maybe a rito.

I think my favourite dungeon would have to be the Ancient Cystern in SS, I just love how beautiful the whole thing is, with all the lotus-y patterns and the pinks and turquoises and the flowers and stuff. ITs just so dang beautiful!! I also really loved the Sandship Dungeon. I think in terms of play through that was my favourite from start to finish. Location is SO much harder. Aesthetically Satori Mountain, and Rito village, story-wise and where I spend my most time in BoTW Zora’s domain, I also Love the Zora’s domain and Rito Village music. Also sweet cozy little skyloft is so nice and permanent and homely. The great plateau is so nostalgic and I love that too… AAA I don’t think I can pick! In AoC it has to be Scero’s Supplies, I know you can’t really go there, but the merging of Zora and Hateno architecture is just so beautiful and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Ohhh… Unpopular Zelda opinions… I have quite a few of those. Ok. Here we go. 

ToTK is AWUFUL. Hot dang it is the worst thing ever. It wasn’t even the story that made me stop playing. It was one line from an NPC in Rito Village. Molli wants to make elemental arrows, and has an idea for arrow inventions, that can freeze enemies! No way that’s so cool, except… that is literally one of the main things in the last game. You can buy elemental arrows from the shops. Like what the heck? At least explain to me why a very common commodity that EVERYONE but Particularly the people who’s job it is to look after Bows (Harth and Moli) know about and have access to is somethign they want to invent now. I hate is. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I ha- anyway. I despise whatever Lazy idiot decided that was the way to go. Who cares about lore? Not us apparently. I also have a massive problem with the imperialist mass-destruction weapon wearing zonai as well. And as a historian I just love BoTW so much better than ToTK. It treats its history with respect, and nuance, and good golly thats not how ruins from 10,000 years ago would work and o my word stop suspending my disbelief!?! 

Anyway. I could rant for far longer about far more things, but I’ll leave it at that. 

Way more unpopular, and Zelink shippers please ignore this: I think BoTW Zelink is creepy. The power dynamic is insanely bad (princess and her servant who literally cannot disobey her father), and the age gap is also awful (16 turned 17 for one day and “20 something” from the BoTW art book). 

Also, the women deserve better from that fandom. But that’s not news.

Im 21, 5ft3, have bluey/green eyes, im really pale with lots of freckles and I have like a deep ginger/auburn hair color with bleached front strands (they were gonna be bangs but I got nervous about full blown bangs lol).

I typically wear lots of black and alternative styled clothing, but I'm also a huge fan of big sweaters and cozy clothes. I have a lot of little tattoos and several piercings (mainly nostril and navel since I took several others out cause they irritated my skin so much 🫠)

Im a florist at the moment but I'd love to become a tattoo artist so I'm kind of in limbo but outside of work I do art and love painting! I'm also a big fan of nu metal/alternative style music and use most of my paychecks to go to concerts or festivals. If I'm not at a show I'm probably curled up in bed like an oversized housecat, I love a good nap or just to laze around a bit

books/comics:

paladins strength by t kingfisher: m/m romance about a coroner and another former paladin! still psrt of the saint of steel series. i thought it was, once again really charming and grounded! also it involves a death room and i love those. the authors idea of 'these two characters are hiding something from each other' feels a little bit more contrived this time on pipers end, but i still had fun :3

home comforts: the art and science of keeping house by cheryl mendelson: nonfiction instructional manual on how to do various homemaking activities: cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc. ok ngl i got this book bc a book i was reading about 27/7 service..? was like "if you have never cared about housekeeping before this ones pretty useful." bc of various life and medical issues, the house i grew up in never really cared much about this kind of thing, except for cooking and self sufficiency. home comfort was written by a full time lawyer who was raised w the idea that she would grow up to be a stay at home wife, which i think is pretty interesting! it manages not to fall into tradwife ideas (imo?) by reframing these tasks as like.. a cyclical, rhythmic kind of self care that serve to make your home feel more safe and cozy. kind of like the marie kondo idea that folding all your clothes by hand puts like intent into your them; not practical for everybody, but sometimes a nice idea! also has a bunch of practical stuff, much of which is not particularly useful if you live in a college dorm. this book made me make my bed more often lol. i wish it had an updated section about tech (especially cord management)

the maid by nita prose (dnf): thriller about a (strongly autistic coded) maid who gets caught up in a murder at her hotel. i dont know i feel like i could have powered through this, but the way that the maids autism, and the way she interprets situations vs how the audience interprets situations is either played for pathos or laughs (its sometimes hard to tell which) rubbed me the wrong way. her life just… sucks? so bad? i feel like other people reading it may find some validating representation, and the voice is certainly interesting and brisk.

lolita by nabokov: doesnt really need much of an introduction. not going to lie, i read this bc i like nabokov but also to silently feel superior to all of the discourse girlies on tumblr. i did enjoy it though! in a way, at least? it's definitely a novel that can only be taken in small bites. i feel like a lot of the wordplay went over my head, and i'm not sure how much of that is due to me not knowing french and how much of it is due to the english language evolving so much after publication (and how much of it is just my own lack of knowledge. close reading is not really one of my strongest suits) . i was relieved to find that people call it funny, because it honestly was at some points. its really interesting when people can balance revulsion and humor and sick fascination, but that ratio is a pretty personal thing

she who became the sun by shelley parker chan: a retelling of the rebellion against the yuan dynasty, except the future ming emperor is a woman instead; part 1 of a duology. i really liked it! i liked the idea of like ummm sort of the two genders being Agency and No Agency. i thought baoxiang was pretty great love a fruity queerbaiting bureaucrat. thought it was pretty interesting that he continually tried to assert the importance of his own work and also worked really hard despite the fact that approval was obvioiusly never going to happen--so was it really that kind of futile endeavor, or for other ends….?! ooh so mystrious very excited to see him feature more in the second book. (spoilers for the book) some scenes that especially stood out were actually with some of the side characters! such as the mayors wife :3 the climactic scene with ouyang and esen was very delicious

he who drowned the world by shelley parker chan: sequel to she who became the sun! zhu yuanzhang has clawed her way up to her very own army and the yuans power has been destabilized, but everyone else is still racing for the crown. dude. i liked this book so freaking much. sooooo freaking cool it expands on a lot of the ideas and i also liked the development of the yingzi/yuanzhang relationship. additionally it managed to display the kind of like. trans horniness that (DISCLAIMER: I DONT FUCK) i dont really see in a lot of published books.. pretty cool! reminded me of when i went to a burlesque show and saw a woman (medical horror cwwww?) stick a needle through her hand lol. fantastically well balanced cast. do you think about the EROTICISM OF VIOLENCE? and GENDER ROLES? please read this book it made me so stressed. i really believe that at the end of the book baoxiang becomes a stay at home prisoner war

an unkindness of ghosts by rivers solomon: scifi about "exploring the conjunction between structural racism and generation ships" where medic aster uncovers a grand conspiracy! i thought the world building was reallyyy fun ship that has Been Voyaging Forever is an old and good trope, and this book goes hey but class and race will still exist though. to the point of like um recreating plantation dynamics i think? very anti utopian in a way i enjoyed. the mix of advanced scifi stuff and also having no resources was interesting :3 i liked giselle and theo a lot, and pretty much all the supporting (+sympathetic) characters besides aster? who took a lot longer for me to warm up to--shes definitely given a lot of nuance and life, but i think overly literal autistic/coded characters are a bit cringe..? im sure it meant a lot to someone (esp having a black autistic char?) just not me personally. oh but i really enjoyed the difference in voice between all the povs they were really distinct and fun. also aster and giselles rship! i think it would have been nice to have more intense moments, but thats also a personal preference for dramatics kind of thing--a lot gets glossed over in a 'past trauma' kind of way.. neil is right that i mostly have been reading books that blast you though lol. i really liked the scene at the end though like wow.. returning to the earth.. that was really good honestly. the stuff about archives and memory keeping was interesting --there was definitely like a thread through but i wouldn't have caught it w/out leo mentioning it. something about multiple interpretations..? something about history being passed from person to person rather than through physical means….?? its a strong debut i think :3 felt kinda movielike in an interesting way. rlly wish theyd went into The Gender more although i guess it mostly wasnt about that yeah and i wish the ending had more to do w like. her doctor stuff lmfao it was a little disconnected

13 sentinels: 13 teens intertwined stories come together in a story about love, mechs, and every scifi trope in the universe. also, the past and the future! the background art is sooo gorgeous i think my usual attention span for visual novels was increased significantly just by being able to walk around while dialogue was playing… if you have a low tolerance for heterosexual "pair the spares" type behavior, this may not be for you--i really liked some of the romances though, like with fuyusaka and sekigahara.. i liked the themes of like. idk you can try to relive the past, but all itll do is stall you from moving forward--we can examine past mistakes but we cant ever get a 'redo.' alsooo people were haters about the battle segments but i played it all on hard and really enjoyed it. tbh anyways would recommend!

boyfriend dungeon: dungeon crawler where you can date your weapons. well i 100%d this (except for the whip) but for all of the gameplay bits i was mostly thinking "man i wish i was playing hades". probably not a fair comparison, but it does lack some polish in that department, and overall. all the same, i enjoyed this game! it has a nice soundtrack and art, and i thought some of the love interests were pretty charming :3 also appreciated the flexibility in love routes. it really got a bad rap from the stalker plot huh…pretty solid game and worth playing if the initial concept grabs you. i did borrow neils copy though

hades: after beating bf dungeon i immediately redownloaded hades lmfao. sooo good theres not a lot to say about it. still havent managed to beat the final boss even after all this time bc im too stubborn to turn on godmode >:T

dave the diver: casual sort of dungeon crawler, except instead of killling monsters you catch fish for your sushi restaurant, which you also run. dave the diver stacks on a bunch of mechanics in a way thats… surprisingly manageable? and really charming honestly. im having a lot of fun with it :3 a few awkward boss fights that werent really that fun (and stealth segments..my enemy) havent gotten in the way of like all the rest of it i loooove exploring the ocean and finding new ways to get fish and all of the gorgeous pixel art and also the FALL GUYS GUY is doing the OST. this game is blowing up a little bit rn but honestly for good reason. such a good gameplay loop that also adds in variety over time

manga:

hirayasumi: slice of life about a part-timer working in tokyo who inherits an old womans house--its all about slowing down and enjoying the pace of life--and also how hard that actually is. dude hirayasumi is sooo fucking good im always trying to get people to read this manga i think its adorable and also beautiful and bittersweet. its about growing out of your 20s and the friends around you who are moving up or moving on or even just stuck in place. super awesome

ao no flag: romance coming of age w lgbt themes. a timid high school girl is trying to work up the courage to confess to her crush, and enlists the help of her crush's childhood friend to do it. the mixed-up shenanigans of adolescence ensue. man you know i really love the art for this manga (faces and expressions! so good!) and i think all the characters are really compelling! the trio just have such a cute dynamic and like all of the waffling over feelings honestly feels real. the ending was really disappointing though honestly. still worth a read imo but prepare to be mad. ok here is my longer rant about it (spoilers) ughhh ok its like. initially i thought masumi getting a boyfriend was SO fucking disappointing. especially given that she kinda got the least focus out of the main 4? some reddit comments were like "maybe her boyfriend is trans" but i think that something like that would be……….really complicated honestly? and something that id really want to have explored more outside of just a singular epilogue chapter? and i dont think the implications were that strong there. and given that it would have been good to see more indications that they were actually happy together bc its like the first thing you think when you see her is "oh, she gave up" WHICH IS SO FUCKING DEPRESSING AUGH and she never even confessed to futaba :| futaba and taichi breaking up makes a lot of sense and im like, whatever not really going to object to that esp bc the whole theme is like youthful love. but then on the SAME SIDE OF THE COIN its like it makes no sense for taichi and touma to get together either then!!!!!!!!!!!!! like what a copout. it kinda breaks the whole original premise. AND it feels like its just (whats that word thats like playing to? favoring?) fujos reading the comic and all those ppl are like the girl should DIE for getting in the way of my two gayboys. and aslo the convo with kensuke and the other girls and especially that other guy really felt like i was reading a reddit thread. or like some of the most frustrating conversations that ive had and overheard. like hmm i sort of get what it was trying to say. and i agree that peoples frustration and idea of whats 'right' usually isnt the best rhetoric.. and above all sometimes youre not focusing on your ideas of correctness Or proper rhetoric but having an honest and open communication? but its likeeee well i kinda dont care? sorry

nana: coming of ageish? nana, a flighty girl who's quick to fall in love, and nana, a tough rocker trying to make it big in the city, coincidentally become roommates, and become fast friends despite their disparate lives/personalities. this one is one of the classics! i still havent finished it yet (its also unfinished) but idk i really like it. always fond of flop women like hachi lmfao. the older art style did take a bit to get used to for me

i want to hold aono kun so bad i could die: horror manga about a high school girl who gets her first boyfriend--who then dies only a couple days afterwards. yuki kariya is willing to do anything to make sure aono stays with her, even letting her possess her body. but should the dead and the living really be so closely intertwined? ok the art in the first couple volumes may be a little offputting but this is REALLY good ok. and it has some really chilling panels that i love a lot. aono kun begins with the pretty classic "awkward loner girl x popular boy", but it quickly starts getting into ideas about like…. purity and "the filthiness of desire" and stuff like that. recently has been getting more into why the characters are the way they are? in some uh, really chilling and realistic depictions of abuse within a family. check the cws but mr chainsaw man recommended this manga so you should read it too.

movies/tv:

skibidi toilet: humor/action webseries?? ok so its about this war between the skibidis and the cameraheads, which escalates in technology over time as the cameraheads bring in other objecthead allies and the skibidis grow stronger. me and neil and alena watched all compiled 40 minutes of this in a straight shot, which was kind of like frying our brains in a microwave. kind of like those stickfight videos for a cocomelon generation, the relentless pacing will suck you in kinda like…. a skibidi toilet…. really well made imo but probably only worth watching if you really like cool fights and/or gmod

the shining: prestige? slash? horror a father and his family take care of a hotel only to find out things are FUCKED.. i really didnt know what this was about besides the here's johnny scene before i watched it :3 pretty crazy it really just is a good movie. sucks that the filming was so terrible though

fight club: ok so to me this movie is about colelctive action and gay people. like they had so many people mobilized for radical action and whatever and all they did was blow up a bank. LAME! anyways i really liked it a lot despite the everything. ive been entering my film bro era with neil i hope we watch pulp fiction next <3

this is a couple albums ive been listening to over the past couple months!

THE CLOD(瓦合) by no party for cao dong: taiwanese post rock. im a big fan of this band so i listened to a bunch of the album tracks as they released!! like the first album, each track flows together into a coherent whole, and it retains the upbeat despondency from the servile. however, it feels like theyve also been more willing to branch out musically! especially with tracks like damn and daydream. overall, the album has a grittier, grungier feeling as well. also i know more chinese so i can sing along a bit now :3 (also, their lyric translations are always so good?) a few highlight tracks for me are lie (床) and the human the hole and the mountain. (人洞山).

CRAWLER by idles: british "crankwave", whatever that means. idles is also a band that i really like :3 sometimes i try and listen to other things in its genre and im like well…. this isnt idles though… sorry.. i like things that are the same forever…. i listen to this music a lot when im cleaning haha. it has such a feeling of overwhelm and tearing through rock bottom thats very satisfying! crawling hurts but it works for me and so on. with crawler and the clod both, every time i listen i have a couple favorite new tracks but rn i like the end and progress.

UMURANGI GENERATION OST primarily by adolf nomura: jungle music for a photography-based game (umurangi means "red sky" in te reo). i mostly end up listening to the tutorial + mauao view tracks. well….. i have a huge jungle music bias. unfortunately. but i think a lot of this music really captures the sort of "flow" feeling that you get when working on something creative! this game has an incredible sense of atmosphere i would really recommend checking it out. highlight tracks are swears in ps1 and BEAT THE POLICE

SCALES by king isis: indie pop. i saw them perform live at a concert this august!! so freaking cool :3 to me has all of the self indulgent sadness and rich vocals of an early mitski track but ALSO is an ''indie gem''' (this is their debut album). songs are fun to sing along to :3 my favorite songs from her are 4 leaf clover and im fine thx for asking! but apparently their new mv has sexy vampires in it so maybe go check it out?

Oh, and something happened today ! An old friend of mine, not close reached out to me after years. Wanting to see me and blah blah blah. I reserved a table in a coffee shop and it was today. I was fifteen to ten minutes early, so I sat down at my table and waited. Twenty minutes passed and there was no sign of her, I called her from the only platform she contacted me and wasn't blocked there, she didn't answer.

She ghosted me, She was trying to waste my precious time. "How annoying..." I said it before calling the waiter and telling him my order. The lemonade that I ordered was good but the food.... disgusting.

I ordered chicken alfredo pasta and some French fries with some cheese and heavy cream on it. The fries for with the skin and in pasta they were barely chicken and it was kinda watery. I called the waiter over and asked why the fries were with the skin and he said that it's more healthy and some other things and excuse. If the skins of the potatoes are healthy, then why pile them off in the first place? I also asked about the pasta why it barely had chicken in it when it was supposed to be "chicken alfredo pasta" and why was it watery and he gave me more lame excuses.

Let's say my day was alright, not bad but not good either ! Had some other work and wrote a little bit of my Café orders. I need some sleep.

for a couple years now sparklecare has been an amazing read for me, fuck its helped me come to terms with having medical trauma! then all this happens and at first im fucking devastated because like. yeah. supporting you guys after looking into as much information as i could cuz it never hurts to be educated 💯💯

um anyways. then freakycare comes out. and it is somehow. An even bigger comfort for me. i dont have incest trauma (though i do have what im pretty sure is grooming and cult shit so.) but i do have paraphilias that i feel like shit for,knew i had em since i was maybe thirteen, still extremely anti contact dont worry, and this is like, the only media to make me feel safe and loved and belonging for them. the latest updates were nothing short of absolutely terrifying for me to read but im glad i pushed through bc that was some of the rawest and realest stuff ive ever read holy shit. it was... really nice to see a character get to say that on their own terms. when i was basically outed as a paraphile a few different times and am probably somewhat fucked up from it. and the sly standing up for her was beautiful cause ive been in that situation too i did that for my friend who also got basically outed as a para! and the comforting and norma in general just made me feel so warm and fuzzy and cozy inside like never before

hello again! i was thinking about going on vacation with my favs...i need a break man

For Mydei and Phainon, an amusement park vacation! I'm pestering them to wear the merch and try every single ride I think looks fun. Me and Phainon end up eating probably way too much food but I'm a foodie at heart and keep sharing anything I buy with him. mydei tries some too but he only a bite because he already knows what fate awaits us later on the thrill rides...so after that, we take a break on a little boat cruiser. Later that night we visit the bar and once again I feel the need to try the themed items. I totally end up passed out from drinking too much of some fruity cocktail and Mydei carries me out while simultaneously letting a tipsy Phainon lean on him.

Sunday is getting dragged to a winter wonderland. We'll watch the aurora borealis together and stay in a nice cozy cabin in the woods. There is a feeder for deer not too far from us so occasionally we'll see animals pop up here and there. I don't know but seeing his face flushed from the cold while his eyes light up while looking at something beautiful...id be in heaven lol. At one point we take a small trip because there are some natural hot springs nearby that we get to ourselves! Sunday is very flustered despite our towels covering us up and I tease him relentlessly about it (then proceed to drop my towel "accidentally" and hope he gets the hint) While on vacation, I also give him gifts like some earrings and a recording of a little song that Robin helped me write for him.

Next is Jing Yuan! Lazy vacation all the way! We dont really even go anywhere that crazy. There's a private lakehouse we stay at just to get away from it all but outside of some light hiking in the woods, we just take it easy fr. We have a spa day and give each other massages. Some swimming is required but we also have some hammocks swt up that we take naps in when the sun is just right. To keep entertained while our phones are turned off (no one is interrupting damnit), we play boardgames and read next to each other. My ADHD makes me fidgety still so one day I end up hanging a rope on a tree and Jing Yuan watches me make poor decisions by swinging myself into the lake. Jing Yuan also fucks me outside at least once. Probably more than once.

I'd do more but Im tired rn. If you want to expand on this, I'd love to see what kind of vacation you'd give other characters!

Not gonna lie my immediate thought was Blade in a sensory deprivation chamber I don't know why but that's his vacation he can feel like he's stopped existing for a little bit as a treat.

Another immediate thought I had was I'm taking Welt to the anime/game convention. Yeah that's it I'm taking his ass to the conventions we will get him mecha kits and build them together. Let him nerd out so hard and loose his mind when he sees fan art for the stuff he drew. I will absolutely enjoy his excitement to bits and take care of him when he eventually suffers from con fatigue.

As for others hmmmmmmmm I'm taking Luocha, Wanderer, Kazuha, and Albedo(so many plant nerds???) to the botanical gardens where we will see alllll the plants and hear the absolute nerd talk from Albedo as he draws each and every one. Wanderer looks bored but he's enjoying himself really taking in the plant life. Kazuha and Luocha comments here and there about various plants they've seen and where and what they're like in food or medicine furthering the nerd talk. Just a chill time at the gardens just vibing with some tea enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. For funsies we go mushroom foraging or go to the heckin strawberry/berry fields and get some fruit :V

Everyone cooks together and it's tasty as hell the end. :)

Taking Neuvillette, Kaeya, and Wriothesley hiking near a waterfall because two of them need the sun and we must always have water for dear Neuvillette as taking his ass to the desert is a no go. Honestly Wriothesley would be happy to go anywhere where he can feel the sun and enjoy fresh air and Kaeya seems to enjoy the outdoors especially the beach so we could just go to some tide pools and look at all the little creatures there. Maybe a photoshoot with mostly Neuvillette and Kaeya because they are gorgeous AGH Wriothesley helps with the photos and any taken of him are not by himself because he is camera shy to me. Lovely night walks enjoying the stars sharing some nice drinks alcoholic or not just chilling.

anyways base layers. tunic/jacket, high trousers, winingas. I have linen high trousers myself but obvs for winter layers, wool. high trousers are EXTREMELY fucking comfortable— genuinely the most comfortable pants I own, and there are archeological + textual evidence of versions with front/rear gussets specifically for horseback

klappenrock coats would be bound with a belt or left open + again as someone with experience in these, they are both extremely warm when closed and extremely cozy all the time. 10/10. there are various belt options for men ranging from your obvious leather choice to silk with wire decorations; I am personally a fan of the tablet-woven belts bc I love weaving as an art form and opens the door to some really cool Rohirric knotwork patterns:

of note, silk also would’ve been used at times for trim decoration on viking tunics/coats, alongside embroidered decoration— this was a sign of status and connection, as silk would’ve been an imported good.

+ I’ve used these boots as an example in the costuming document, but I hold that a Hedeby-style high boot with toggle closures was probably the common footwear for Riders; Rohirrim on foot would’ve likely used a similar turnshoe that was both 1) ankle height and 2) had closures on the insides of the shoe so they are easier to take on and off. note, again, the woven leather— another sign of status, alongside bone toggles:

ALSO, assuming Rohan has four seasons and gets snow in the winter— rabbit pelts for insoles ✌🏻

for outer layers, a wool cloak in a similar style to this. I’d also expect a lot of intricacy with any brooch Éomer himself would use— sth similar to the Rogaland fibula but with horse heads

again, personal experience, but these wool blanket cloaks are SOOOOOO nice. toss one side over your shoulder when you need both hands, pull it back over your front when you get cold + can get away with only using one hand. also, that cloak model is a good example of a wool tunic over a linen undertunic :3

+ last, ACCESSORIES.

the first pic is a set of winingas pins; you fold the end of your winingas into a triangle and stitch the pin on, then all you need to do is push it through the fabric when you’re finished wrapping. these are bear heads but again, Rohirrim, horse heads. you can also use small fibulas but they’re a bit of a hassle.

+ hats! pictured is a simple wool, fur lined hat. my current kit has a naalbound hat; naalbinding is VERY NICE, it’s similar to knitting but because of how it comes together it won’t unravel if you wear a hole in it/accidentally break the yarn/etc. very easy to repair! it also felts with wear if you use wool, making it both warmer and sturdier— this was obviously useful for vikings who were, you know, at sea for a significant chunk of the year. I imagine it would be equally useful for a culture of warriors primarily on horseback + therefore very active. naalbound hats, socks, and mittens have all been found (though I use sheepskin mittens with my current kit)

now, strider, you might say, “wouldn’t all that wool get extremely fucking hot?” + to that I will say. uh no not really! I’ve spent multiple days in sub-zero temperatures going between heated buildings and The Great Outdoors in my full wool viking kit and the only thing I needed to take off indoors was my mittens!! if you’ve never worn full wool, it’s a very adaptable material and I’ve never experienced any discomfort wearing it! my face got cold and my hands got hot and that was about it!

layering like this, particularly with an undertunic, would be especially important considering Fucking Wind. if you’re climbing on horseback and planning on going even vaguely fast, you’re gonna want layers over your core. wind is the bitch that will do you in.

also, we can get into a little debate about traction and hobnailing; I expect Riders would carry separate ice crampons so they aren’t digging hobnails into their horses’ sides. leather-soled shoes are a BITCH for traction and if there IS snow/ice, you will Die. You will Fucking Die. I watched a man in leather-soled shoes almost slide into a bonfire They Will Kill You For Real. rubber soles were not a Thing in this time period even tho the movies absolutely used rubber soles for Traction and not having their actors look like idiots trying to run on smooth surfaces. Gondor’s marble roads as a concept is the most hateful thing I’ve ever fucking heard of but That is a tangent for another post. “walking shoes” for winter were 100% hobnailed, riding boots would not be but again, separate ice crampons that could be tied into place would be used instead

You’ve seen the trend a few times before you finally get the guts to do it for Bakugou. 

You’re super excited when the time comes. You’ve never done something like this. All the gifts you’ve given Bakugou before were usually store-bought, either a small piece of jewelry or a new sweater or shirt.

Never a painting that you made.

After getting all the craft supplies to make it, you turn on some music and get to work.

Painting the canvas a solid black color, you wait for it to dry as you look at the color of paint you’ve chosen to use on your body. A bright orange that matches the highlights of Bakugou’s hero costume.

You roll your shorts up and begin to apply the paint after feeling that the black has dried on your canvas.

Applying the paint is tricky, but with the help of a mirror, you’re able to apply it evenly. 

Pressing your bottom down on the canvas, you can’t help but laugh at the situation. You’d just printed your ass in bright orange onto a canvas.

You let your butt rest against the canvas as you lifted the leg you were going to paint and stamp next, applying paint to it carefully as to not let it drip onto the canvas.

You pressed your leg down and used your hands to push it against the canvas.

Sitting for a minute or so, you soon got up and did your hand last. Looking at it from afar, it looked great.

You touched it up some, made the color opaque and then cleaned up. You made sure to sign your name on the bottom in the matching orange paint carefully.

You got most of the paint off, but the rest you’d have to scrub off in the shower. You threw on some loose pants and waited for your canvas to dry completely before taking it to Bakugou’s room.

 Bakugou was finishing up some homework when you knocked on his door.

“Come in.” He groaned, not expecting to see you hiding behind a canvas in his doorway.

“Happy anniversary.” You smiled and handed him the canvas. When he turned it over his cheeks flushed red.

“Holy shit.” 

“I know it’s not much-”

“You’re a fucking piece of art.” Bakugou set the canvas down and pulled you into him, his lips landing firmly against your own.

The kiss was rough, but sensual.

“Does this mean you like it?” You pull away and giggle.

“I love it.”

You’ve got the supplies and you’re ready to get to work. You’ve painted your canvas black and you’ve selected a nice electric yellow.

It’s an easy process of applying the paint.

But as you’re sitting on the canvas, stamping your ass on it, you begin to wonder if Kaminari would like it.

He’s can be a bit perverted, but he’s still super sweet. Is this going to make him short circuit?

You’ve been together for a few months now, and for just a random reason, you wanted to do this for him.

You’ve seen the trend and you want to surprise him.

After successfully stamping your body to the canvas, you sign it and let it dry before delivering it to him.

You dress in one of his electric pun related shirts and some sweatpants and make your trip to go give it to him.

When you arrive, he’s playing Mario Kart with Sero and somehow beating him.

You wait for him to be finished before you give him the gift, not wanting to interrupt his game.

“Alright baby! What’s an angel like you need?” He sets his controller down and walks over to you, giving you a kiss, totally ignoring the canvas your holding.

“I made you something.” You smile, turning the canvas over. 

And just like you’d feared, sparks of electricity begin to shoot off of him, his cheeks burning a bright pink shade.

“It’s-you’re...beautiful.” Kaminari mumbles, looking at it and then back up to you.

Sero looks at the canvas and his cheeks brighten up a bit too, but he looks away respectfully.

“This is amazing, can I hang it up?” Kaminari asks, his eyes wide and full of love as he looks at you.

“It’s yours, do whatever you’d like with it, silly.” You kiss his cheek as you watch him jolt over to his bed and quickly move a poster so he can hang it up.

After seeing the trend, you’re set on making one for Kirishima. You’ve been together for a few months, and feeling a little confident, you decide to surprise him for training so hard these past few weeks.

You paint your canvas the day before you plan on doing the project so it’s already dry and ready for you to plaster yourself on it.

You’ve chosen a crimson color, similar to the shades of red in both his hero costume and his dyed hair.

Kirishima always tries really hard, and his determination inspires you. He has his moments of self-doubt, but it just goes to show that he’s human, like you.

This is something you wanted to do because of him. Kirishima is always telling you how beautiful you are, and it’s hard to feel beautiful sometimes. So, feeling confident, you decide to make yourself, and him a little gift.

The process of stamping your butt, leg, and hand to the canvas is fun, and something you’ll remember forever.

You love the way it looks when it’s finished, and you’re proud of yourself.

Kirishima is lifting weights as he studies when you knock on his door. He shouts for you to come in.

“Hey babe!” He smiles when he sees you. You walk through the door, shimmying the canvas along with you.

“Hey Kiri.” You give him a quick kiss on the cheek and smile as you hold the canvas behind your back.

“What’s that?” He questions, eyeing the canvas.

“You’ve been working hard, and you also reminded me that we’re beautiful. So I made you something to say thank you.”

You hand him the canvas and he’s speechless.

Kiri’s heart was racing as he stared at the perfection before him. He would’ve packed it up and sent it to the nearest art museum to hang it there.

“You’re so gorgeous.” He whispers as he sets the canvas down and walks toward you, pulling you into a hug.

“Thank you, you’re gorgeous too.” You smile, kissing him softly.

“You are truly a work of art.” Kirishima pulls away and nuzzles you closer.

“Can I make one of these for you?” He asks innocently.

“Kiri!” Your face begins to heat up.

“What?!” It hits him. He face palms and waves his hand at you.

“Shut up!” You two begin to laugh.

After taking a few dates to art museums, and the trend you’ve seen all over social media, you’re inspired to give Todoroki an art piece.

It’s more of a gift for him being himself since your anniversary isn’t for another week or so.

But there’s nothing wrong with giving gifts to each other.

You paint your canvas black and let it dry. You’ve chosen a bright navy color, one similar to the color of his hero costume.

At first, you were going to do a classic red and white combo, but you figured he was probably tired of seeing the same color combo in everything.

So you rolled up your shorts and got to work applying the paint on your butt. When you sat down on the canvas, it was an odd feeling. The cold paint had gave you chills when you first applied it, but you soon got used to the feeling.

It was like cuddling up to Shoto’s right side on trips or whenever you two got time alone.

Applying the paint to your leg and pressing it against the canvas, you sat and waited for the paint to stick to the canvas. Standing, you did your hand print and did some final touches.

Letting it dry was surprisingly more agonizing than you thought. You were brimming with excitement, ready to go give it to him already.

when it was finally dry, you put on one of his sweaters, one you’d ‘borrowed’ from him, and some cozy pants.

Todoroki was reading in his room, skimming over a few chapters in one of the classes reading assignments.

when you knocked, he spoke up for you to come in. His eyes immediately noticed the canvas you were holding.

“Hey baby.” He says softly, a gentle smile on his lips. You could always lift whatever mood he was in.

“Hey Sho.” You respond as you tiptoe into his room. You bite your lip as you begin to speak.

“I made you something, and I hope you like it.” You turn over the canvas and hand it to him.

His eyes widen and his cheeks flush.

Your body was painted in a familiar shade of blue as he stares down at the art. It’s gorgeous.

“You made your body into art.” Todoroki hums quietly as he glances at a wall, ready to hang it up already.

“I did, it was a trend I saw-”

“You are a masterpiece, I am honored to have this.” Todoroki set the canvas down carefully and moves over toward you, peppering you with kisses.

“I love it, thank you.” Todoroki thanks you for your gift and your own cheeks begin to heat up.

“I’m glad you like it.” You smile, butterflies floating around in your stomach.

“You should make some more art, it’s lovely.” Todoroki admires it some more.

1. Okay my all time favorite color is like a teal blue-green? Like if you look up “blue green crayola crayon” that’s my favorite 😂 But second and third favs would have to be probably lavender and mint green maybe? Black also tbh

2. I am literally obsessed with the sky at any time of day, but I prefer evening / nights. I love cotton candy sunsets and starry nights ✨

3. When I was little I think it went in order from giraffe to elephants to wolves to cows to sharks to orcas….I still love all of them now but I’d say cats, orcas and sharks are my top 3. I have tattoos of an orca and a cat, I’m gonna get one of a shark too! (*an extra bit of mushie lore: I have a half sleeve on my left forearm that’s just all animals so rn I have the cat and orca, a moth, and a snake! My next one is gonna be the shark for sure)

4. OOF music related questions. More ~mushie lore~, I was a music nerd. I was in band, choir, advanced choir, music theory, marching band, theatre…..etc. I also was a music major in college 😬 So you can imagine how often I’m surrounded by music. I listen to it every single day, I don’t know how people go without it. I’d say right now, I’m currently just listening to Sabrina Carpenters new album “emails I can’t send” on repeat. But from THAT album, I’d say “because I liked a boy” OR “how many things” are the two I listen to the most! All time fav song…..that is genuinely so hard to pick but maybe “I love you” by Billie Eilish bc it always hurts me in the best way

5. I do be singing literally daily 😂 I used to get leads in musicals and stuff but I also don’t think I’m very good. BUT that being said I’ve had multiple people try and make me audition for shows like the x factor lmfao so do whatever you’d like with that information

6. So at the moment I’m not really sure there’s anything I like about my art. I’m kind of in a funk where I think everything I do just isn’t really that good. Which is dumb and not true! Because I know that I’ve been proud of things I’ve made. But yeah…I’m not sure. How I got into art was actually through my dad. He would always have canvases at his house and he would always encourage me to create stuff. So when I was younger and throughout like grade school I was really good, I was in advanced art classes and groups and in art shows and all that. But I kind of got out of it for a bit and just started up again in 2020. And I’m definitely more of a painter now, although I have been mainly drawing to try and get skill back

7. best season hands down is autumn. My favorite weather is stormy and cloudy, a little chilly so I can just wear a big sweater or hoodie and feel nice and cozy

8. Oop, I kind of answered the thunderstorm question. As for snow…..not really. I think it’s beautiful to look at and I love when it’s cold outside, but I don’t like being outside in it or driving in it

9. I have HELLA plants. Except they’re all fake 😎 I have probably around 20-30 in my room, I have an issue

10. It’s 9AM but I haven’t slept in like 36 hours so I don’t know what counts as today and what doesn’t….I have coffee currently and I have water!

I need to focus on the nice parts of today. We raised over $1000 for James. I loved my outfit and my hair. I got to spend time with the love of my life and walk around Johns Hopkins campus and it was very pretty. But I was just. So incredibly tired. I was not having the best time.

But I tried. I tried so hard!! I just didn't sleep great. And woke up later then I wanted. And when I woke up I was so happy to see James. But I felt so sad. For no good reason. I just felt bad. I felt like I had wasted the whole morning and wasted James's time. And they were like. No. They literally were doing their own thing all morning. But I still felt bad.

I got dressed and felt very cute. This is a very good outfit. And we would head out soon after I was dressed to go to the spring fair.

It was a little cooler then expected. I mostly wanted to see what people were selling at the art market but only a few tables were set up today. We would get food and sit on a bench and people watch. I enjoyed seeing flowers and plants and the old buildings. The falafel James got me was very good and I very much enjoyed the lemonade. I also liked the cup it came in.

We would walk around a bit but I felt really low. And we decided to head out of there and go do our next thing.

Sitting in the car for a while helped me feel a little better. I think the food helped too. But I was still sort of walking in a fog. My allergies were bad. I was just in a weird place.

We went to Ulta and James got some pretty new nail polishes. And I got summer lotions. One for nighttime that is soothing and one for the day that I can mix sunscreen in. I got the body shop body butter like I normally do for the summer. It is just the best. I got the satsuma scent and it is very nice. I like the new packaging a lot too.

We would go to old navy next to use the old navy cash back coupon me and Jess earned. This was specifically to get James shorts and summer tops. But it did not go super well. James was having a lot of image issues and didn't like a lot of things. And honestly the selection wasn't as good as it was when we were here the other week.

I did end up picking up a dress I had tried on last time but didn't want to pay full price for. And it was more then half off this time around so I was really pleased about that. It was a little upsetting to see my body, my skin, in the dressing room lights though. And it's hard because like I don't actually care how it looks. Like I think it looks like I'm a burn victim or that I have rubella. But also like. This is my body. I am more concerned about grossing other people out. I don't want people to think im contagious and gross. And like I don't want to be hurting. I hope my new prescriptions come soon.

James got a few shirts and shorts and they were kind of down but they just kept saying they were wasting my time. Which is very silly. Because I love them and just want them to feel their best.

We would save over $120 though between the coupon and sales and clearence. So that was exciting. But we were both ready to go home.

I was still very very tired. We got back here and I changed into a sweatshirt and got in bed pretty quick. I felt very bad about this. But I knew it wasn't worth fighting it anymore.

James came and held me for a bit. And eventually I fell asleep.

I woke up after 4 and felt bad still. But not as exhausted. Just a little woozy and so James made me a peanut butter and jelly which helped. And I got up and did all my knitting for the day.

It's the first of the month so I had to do the two lines of black and today's color. I was a little woozy still so it took me a while to get it done but I am really happy with the progress. A quarter of the way done? Almost half?? I am not good at fractions.

James made me breakfast for dinner. And I laid on the couch. Eventually I would take a bath and wash my hair. Use my new night lotion. And now I am cozy in bed.

I am at the nursery all day tomorrow. I wish it wasn't 930 to 530, as I prefer the days that end at 4. But it's okay. It will be a fun day still. And hopefully I will not be so sleepy.
