Masterlist

Azul had been fascinated by the idea of soulmates as a young mer

it was something that gave him hope, that despite all the other mean mers who would make fun of him, there was someone out there who would understand him and love him

and so he kept drawing on his arm, doodles of shells and other fish that caught his eye

but there wasn't any response.

maybe his doodles were too ugly and his soulmate didn't like them?

and so he learned to draw better, drawing again and again, hoping he would get a response

but still not a single mark would appear on him

it had been a tough blow to him, but he eventually accepted that he didn't have a soulmate

if he was going to be alone for all his life, then he had to take care of himself (because nobody would)

he became super greedy and selfish, always prioritising himself and his materialistic needs

although he also had a friendship with the tweels, he really only befriended them because they could help him out (but he did get attached to them over time)

and so, he opened the mostro lounge and became the sly businessman that we all know

on the first day of his second year, as he was going over documents after closing the lounge, he felt a slight tingle in his hand

Azul's eyebrow rose in response to an unexpected sensation. A peculiar warmth, like a gentle caress, emanated from the back of his gloved hand. Intrigued, he swiftly removed his gloves, revealing smooth, pale skin. A gasp of astonishment escaped his lips as his eyes fell upon a minuscule masterpiece, a tiny, adorable octopus delicately inked in pen.

"Is this...real?" Azul murmured, his voice tinged with disbelief. A surge of hope surged through his entire being, dispelling the weight that had burdened him for far too long.

With a trembling hand, he grasped his own pen and cautiously began to sketch his own octopus upon his wrist, with one tentacle reaching out, holding hands with your octopus.

And he can't stop he smile that graces his lips when a little heart appears between the two octopi.

What a hectic day it had been! For a magicless student to arrive in NRC and for him to finally connect with his soulmate!

Oh. Azul had to speak to said magicless student as soon as possible.

when the two of you start being a couple, Azul does everything and anything for you

when you're in exams and your nervously doodling sea creatures, he'll draw some flowers nearby to help calm you down

no he doesn't help you cheat by writing you the answers, he's already given you the perfect study materials, you shoud put in some effort too

he gets jealous if you draw other sea creatures too much though, especially moray eels

he lets you work at the lounge with a very high pay, making sure you're not working too hard, and always offers to tutor you if you're struggling

his soulmate had to go to a different world just to find him, you'll be sure he helps to settle in and hopefully never leave again

Insert clingy octopus wrapping his tentacles all around you because he can't bare to let you go

when you have dates and appointments, he'll help remind you by writing on his arm

this man has waited for you his entire life, he's ready to lay the world down at your feet if you ask him to

This is so random, but I just want to send this message to give you your flowers. You’re such a great person to see in this fandom! Besides your art and writing, your genuine personality is just great to see! Your art is so well done and cute, and I can see actual improvement from your earlier posts from a while ago. Also, your writing is great, but I feel like you capture all the characters perfectly! I find so many fanfics out there about Sebastian that tend to overuse the “bad boy” persona; it’s like he’s a whole different person. However, you seem to execute it just the right way that relates to his character well! One of my favorite parts about you is seeing how kind and descriptive you are to people wanting to learn to draw like you! No matter who it is, you always gave the person the time of your day to give such detail on how to start drawing, and your encouragement is so kind! I hope one day I can learn to at least do decent sketches to be a content creator alongside you in this fandom, and we can share silly drawings.

Honestly, glad to see another Psycholonials fan

im only like up to chapter 4 but gosh what a visual novel! Might become my new second place favorite Hussian Literature. Legit mad I hadnt read it sooner!!

ignoring the meta commentary on hussie's relationship with homestuck and how fun that is, GOD Z is such a good character. I cant get enough of their antics he is so much fun. She dripping with charisma yet is digging a hole so deep. Cant wait to see that sword fall where it pleases.

and GOSH the art !! people complained about it but like god damn the style is dripping with intent and emotion. Also its just dang funny! The faces the poses when its not serious its hilarious. N every time i see dif pixels on top of one another i giggle remembering how mad people got at this objectively amazing art direction.

Also am slowly constructing a clownsona as I type this, and lord i got so many sketches and fan art ideas in my head, but am waiting till i finish the comic to put pen to paper etc

How do you write dialogue for characters like Genshin and Klint that don't really have much dialogue to work with in game? You always seem to capture them so well. Is it just based off what little we have in canon plus headcanons of their personalities?

I ask because sometimes I doubt whether my Genshin in my stories "sounds like him" even though there's not much to work with anyway 😅

And don't even get me started on writing Klint,lol

I was doubtful about my characterization at first of the two especially that as you said we don't have much to go with with these two.

But when I voiced my concerns to someone they told me an answer that stuck with me. There is no right or wrong characterization when it comes to characters that we barely know anything about . They're like an empty canvas (you can treat them like an OC) so really do what you see fit with them lol.

Im an artist, not a writer. Writing and giving characters personalities are not things im really good at- in both English and my mother language- but I love to make these little scenarios and dialogs in my comics and sketches for fun. I don't take them so seriously.

As for my process of writing dialogs and making their personality, it wasn't a linear process as I keep changing things and going back and forth between some steps and HC but roughly it can be summarised in the following:

1-taking the little snippets we know about the characters in canon: either from the obvious facts that are given to us like how Genshin's weakness was Kazuma, or from not very obvious facts like how genshin used a western sword to duel Klimt. This means that he was taught how to fight with the Western sword possibly during his stay in Britain (now who taught him is unknown but since I can think of no one besides the van Zieks as people who have a sword attached to their hip in the game I'm gonna assume it was Klimt)

2-looking at the official character art: usually ace attorney characters show so much personality through their character design and official art in general. You can know so much from their expressions and stance

3- basing some characteristics or HC on real life: either based on family members, and friends or even me sometimes if said person has some resemblance to that character

4-make up scenarios: so I don't know how writers usually come up with the bases for their stories but the way I usually do it is by making up scenarios in my head when im doing something that doesn't require my full attention like doing chores or working out. Literally, the majority of my comics are me daydreaming lol.

Of course, after I come up with a concept I write it down and start brainstorming for a dialog that fits the personalities I gave them from the previous steps and that's it!

Naturally, characters like genshin and Klimt are gonna differ in terms of personality from one person to another since very little is known about them so don't worry about the differences in characterization in the fandom too much. Differences are normal and what makes fandoms fun tbh, to see everyone's perspectives of the same character.

like, (if youre writing a fic) can you start work on it as soon as the prompts are revealed? is there a word limit? if you post it to ao3, is there going to be a collection to add it to/a way to mark it for saiki k week 2024, or is it okay as long as you just post about it on tumblr under the tag?

also, can anyone join? like, even if you werent aware of them beforehand and they just post under the tag- or do they have to contact you first?

Hello friendly anon! I'm glad you asked! All questions are welcome. If anything is unclear don't be shy! It's safe here ✨️

So the fun thing about this event is there are no major rules! There's no sign up or obligation! The goal of this is to get people talking to each other and encouraging each other! It's kind of a free for all, the prompts are just to help start conversations.

Even if you didn't vote on prompts, you can participate, and if you did vote, there's no obligation to contribute.

You can work on prompts whenever works for you- the day before, the week of, the month before, whatever works! If someone learns about the event during the week itself they can still join. There's no sign ups or obligation to do anything. If you want to write one prompt that's lovely- If you want to do multiple works for every day that's just as lovely! Not a competition, it's whatever you're up for. No word limit for written works, or duration for videos. Sketches are welcome for art just as much as fully colored and rendered works.

You are welcome to post to other sites like ao3! There will not be an official collection as those get messy with ownership of works. I plan on advertising the use of the hashtag "Saiki K Week 2024" on other sites like ao3 just so people can find each other. You can also use that on Tumblr posts to find each other.

persona is not even that "bad" of a thing to be obsessed with. its *extremely* popular, both casually and obsessively. i think your art is great. i actually downloaded all your p2 art because there is not enough of p2 art in general (not to repost of course, fuuuuuck reposters, but to look at it again later even if i dont have wifi). i think your art is worthy of that. but even if it wasnt, its not healthy to bottle yourself up forever. if you want to express yourself, even if its fandom, even if its not something you can show off to non-fans, that matters. you deserve to be able to do that no matter what imo. and if its not safe to express yourself around your 'friends' like that, they suck. being able to complete rendered art like you have is genuinely a feat. ive always wanted to "draw" but ive never been able to get past shitty sketches on paper even when i had ideas. most people dont even try at all, even when they love something a lot. so i think you should be proud your love has "bore fruit" i guess. you can point to your work as the labor of your love. thats something really nice, i think. i hope you dont take any of this the wrong way (im not great at conveying tone) i mean all of this 100% on your side.

HI IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED -- She is part of an original work I'm trying to develop!! Imagine a combo of the likes of She-Ra and Avatar the Last Airbender, and you've got the same kind of action/adventure/elemental powers based story I'm going for! Lucy is one of the two mains, who are Ooooh~ love interests. Sun and Moon wlws.

So far I have the main squad developed, but not too many sketches actually done! We have:

Lucy: Lunar magic user

Sam: Solar magic user

Astrid: Lighting magic user

Zavier: Nature magic user

Lee: Water magic user

Cast is all queer af and also aged up beyond the usual "coming of age, vaguely 18 in a fantasy universe" age you see normally, bc i wanted to be able to see myself in a "cartoon" adventure! I'm thinking going along a webcomic route, and I'll dump the character sketches I DO have here. Ignore the outfits changes, I'm really trying to figure out what kind of Fantasy/cyberpunk aesthetic I want rn!

Some time ago, in July, I tried to draw your self sona, but I couldn't do it right(because I have a terrible problem with anatomy and proportions-). Here are my attempts to do it.
