quick lil info! a tiktok streak happens when you message someone for 3 days in a row, and a streak badge (🔥) appears on the chat. then, hence the name ‘streak,’ it grows as you continue to exchange messages and tiktoks with e/o :]
note: heyyy 😋 it's been a hot minute since i posted anything worth of a read,, i was fighting for my life, finishing schoolwork HAHA but anyway, plz enjoy these headcannons in the meantime as i accomplish the requests rotting in my inbox, and continue my wips :P

see the thing that frustrates a lot of black folks is that we're expected to show up for everybody else (not to say we shouldnt, the struggles of one opressed people affect us all which is why we're supposed to support each other and keep community) but the reverse isnt true. no one else believes they gotta show up for us too. we're at the bottom of the barrel and it often feels like everyone else thinks we can stay that way as long as yall get boosted up and then you can forget about what we go through. and it happens over and over and over again

All of the (current) quotes for the depths of duplicity dst beta (that I can find)! (Including the ones from one of the new items)
Just a little late bc Klei didn't add most quotes for most characters until the most recent hotfix
Below the cut! because it is very, VERY long.
Not including any scrapbook entries but you can get all of those in game by opening the console with ~ I think, then ctrl to set the mode to local and then entering:

Or you can find them in the strings file.
The quotes are mostly taken directly from the code which is why they look like that. Below is what all of the string/code names mean/translate to in game. Notes from me, not the developers, are in ().

That's a russian to burmese textbook, I've been searching for something like that for MONTHS(I've even found a scan of the first few pages of that exact book online tho), but then I found out that the site of the biggest bookstore in Moscow (and probably the whole of Russia by extension) had LITERALLY ONLY 1 COPY so I went there and bought it!! It was pretty cheap too (like 15$)!!!
The wildest part is that it's from 1971 and was published by the ministry of foreign affairs of the Soviet Union!! There are people out who think their textbooks are too old because they're from early 2000s and I got this relic.

Smsmksksa (not so much) joking aside, the mic unit of measurement is the most useful and obvious for the concert donut. I know they updated the number and positions of the mics,, so I am now kind of curious of the ratio drum riser/mics on the stage. Like there are 4 battle station on the donut, how many mics between every drum kit? This is a math problem due to monday

sigh. realising an understanding about one of my favourite characters of all time has just greatly shifted. i need to reconfigure my entire brain because this character has changed sexual orientation to me lol
#rambles#i wanted him to be. bisexual. like me. and it was the obvious choice considering the fact he's literally been married to women. twice.#but i just... his first marriage canonically just 'happened' to him before he knew it based on societal expectations#like we dont know much other than it's described as just. occurring before he knew it. in a very passive way.#so i like to think they WERE friends and it was a nice relationship. but um. i truly do not believe there was any romance there.#his second marriage was literally a political marriage to keep him tethered to a company... he canonically feels no love towards her.#(also. im deeply defensive of female characters who are hit with the 'abusive' accusation out of nowhere it happens too much and is levelle#very incorrectly i'd say like. 60% of the time. but this woman IS genuinely abusive to him. first emotionally. then she beats him later :|#so great marriage that one was! yikes!)#then his (MALE) coworker corners him in the bathroom and he immediately interprets it gayly and can respond like#'this was going to happen sooner or later' <- real quote.#and he's nervous but down for the gay scenario he's constructed in his head (it's not actually gay.)#and then also. he goes on to have Even More intense homoeroticism with a completely different man.#like Oh. babygirl you are a deeply closeted gay man. i understand now.#im sorry mr osawa.#Sorry im rambling about things no o e cares about also.#im obvs thinking of a specific character but also like. im sure others have had this experience#when you're the ceo of a character (me and my partner are largely cus he doesn't have any other big fans lol) and your understanding shifts

he'd only stepped away for a few minutes to attend to a friend, but what with the tears and consoling, by the time he made his way back to the table, it had completely changed. a new set of people were near or at it, and two cups with similar looking contents sat atop.
the street smart thing to do would be to get another cup, though that didn't occur to him. what did was to stare at the cups for a moment as if he would suddenly recall the exact position he'd left his in. while he didn't think it was the biggest issue to grab the wrong one, he'd been trying to stay sober for the night in order to keep up appearances.
thankfully, or perhaps not, he recognized a face in the new crowd. sung tapped grey on the shoulder, quick and light as if his shoulder was burning. "oh, um, hi, is this-" he pointed to one glass, then switched to the other, before recognizing his sentence wouldn't lead where he truly meant. "do you know which drink is yours?"
