homestuck was so perfect for autistic teenagers bc it took characters being sorted into categories and having Attributes to its absolute extreme. forget four hogwarts houses, every character has their associated colour their zodiac sign their associated animal their dream planet their god tier class and aspect their typing quirk their pesterchum handle their weapon their planet of x and y, as well as each of them having a handful of other very quantifiable Personality Traits and Interests (e.g. this one is a clown this one is angry this one likes fashion this one is just rufio from hook for some reason) and THEN they all also have their respective ancestors and dancestors(?)(plucked that word from my memory) who have all of those things as WELL

and god not to mention the fucking quadrant system

as a 13-15 year old autistic kid i didnt even need homestuck to have a plot i just happily made a big big spreadsheet of character attributes in my brain

seungcheol / chan — wants to make the boyfriend uncomfortable and he WILL. folding arms, refusing to shake hands, giving the slow once-over, passive aggressive interrogation all the way through dinner JUST to see if the guy can handle it 😭 but once all of that’s over & he approves of the bf they become best friends the switch up is insane.

jeonghan / wonwoo / minghao / woozi — very polite and easygoing on the outside, but are watching sososooooo carefully without making it obvious. v silent judging and he’ll let u know EXACTLY what he thinks later. also one red flag or fuckup and that guy is outta here.

jun / joshua — omg. he’s honestly just taking this as an opportunity to embarrass you. every humiliating story FROM DAY ONE “accidentally” slips out in front of your boyfriend. finds it hilarious even (or especially) if you don’t, but comes to your room and apologises later and also produces a list of things he thinks about the guy??

mingyu / hoshi — want to be intimidating SO bad but are too nice to actually do it. they keep forgetting they’re not supposed to like this dude, especially when they find out they have common interests. literally forgets it’s ur bf he’s talking to.

dk / seungkwan — hot take i feel like these two would actually be a little intimidating? like it would be clear to the bf from the start that they are WATCHING 👀 still friendly, but not too friendly.

vernon — he FEELS intimidating bc he’s so quiet but actually he’s not that bothered like at all 😭 ofc he’s listening and he’s watching and he converses with the guy, but he’s not actively out for this guys guts. if you like him and he treats you right, vernon has no problem w it!!

editing my tmagp spreadsheet and getting obsessed with the case codes. i KNOW they said they're unimportant and not hiding a whole big secret but they're also not random so they must follow SOME pattern and that pattern must be possible to find!! The format is always CAT- [one or two digits, only 1, 2 or 3] - [optional R] - [one or two letters, only A, B or C] - [the 'DPHW' or four digit code based on the type of case and content] - [dates]. and you might think that with 10 episodes and 11 cases, maybe some sort of connection would appear at least once. you would think that. wouldnt you
