I keep seeing these in my recommended posts and now I'm convinced that a majority of the bad takes on WWX- e.g. he's just impulsive, never thinks things through, is suicidal or has depression and his resilience and joy is just a facade, only cares about chaos and not people around him, doesn't think about consequences and did demonic cultivation just to see if he could- and a lot more, all come from the incorrectmdzs quotes posts from the many blogs.

These blogs have a lot of followers and have so many reposts and likes, it's easy to see how these shallow takes have become 'facts' for a lot of people. And there are so so many posts which are JC positive and have him 'cleaning up' after WWX makes a mess or portray him as a tsundere.

Could be! I've never been a fan of incorrect quotes blogs, even in my previous fandom they shat on my fav and disguised it as humor. Not to say that's what everyone does or even that it's intentional, but still.

Unfortunately, there are so many wrong takes about WWX's personality that even WWX fans repeat without taking a deeper look. Like the whole WWX is oblivious thing. I recently came upon a comment about WWX's obliviousness in that 'do you like MianMian scene?'

I'm like it's pretty normal for a boy to ask his friend if he likes a girl that that friend nearly risked his life to protect? Like is WWX supposed to read LWJ's mind and understand his famously expressionless face? How can he deduce the boy who has always been cold and snappy with him is in love with him?

When I was reading the novel, I was calling LWJ all kinds of fool in my head for his inability to communicate. I was calling WWX an irritating idiot for the way he poked and prodded the poor teenage LWJ.

And I came to the fandom to find so many takes that shifted the blame entirely to WWX instead of recognizing they were both being stupid?

Don't even get me started on the takes about JC and WWX's relationship.
