he's probably used to gore and gritty stuff like that since he sees it often being a jujutsu sorcerer and all. not to mention his technique is literally blood. maybe he's desensitized to gore films, the most you'll get from him is a disgusted scowl.

BUT DID YOU SEE HOW QUICK HIS EYE OPENED WHEN HANAMI SHOWED UP BEHIND HIM. YOURE SO FUCKING FR ABT JUMPSCARES. Noritoshi is that guy who wouldn't scream or yelp but gasp really loudly and jump out of his skin.

i feel like they get him most in horror because of the music building up anticipation. if its one of those fake outs where the jumpscare comes a bit after, he's fucked UP. It makes him instantly miffed, as he tries to regain his composure. He swears he's not usually like this, it got him by surprise is all..!

Noritoshi is the type that'd only watch a horror movie if the story is rich and complex. He's the type of guy to like open endings that make you think.. if it's a guilty pleasure movie where all the protags make stupid decisions, he gets annoyed right off the bat.

He's groaning and complaining about how imbecile the characters are, but would still watch it with you because you personally invited him. If he's lucky you could fall asleep on his shoulder or [insert movie cliche here] how could he pass that up? But Noritoshi wouldn't be able to focus on you if he gets twice as annoyed because its a bad movie + jumpscares. it still startles him, but the movie is so terrible, he's embarrassed it got him, especially in front of you!!!

if you get involved and you tell him to quiet down, Noritoshi would shift his focus towards you. like that awkward guy who thinks he's being smooth and lowkey about how he cuddles up next to you. He wants to be the tough guy who's shoulder you can hide in, and he is!! just not.. with jumpscares.......

Imagine Xianyun walking around all puffed up because she thinks the red sticks we wanted from her connects to the red tint (birb)/her eye glasses (hooman) and so her mate thinks she's desirable in her appearance (meaning mating dance boost +60% Crit Dmg in her opinion). I’m…… I can’t do this. Bellhop aof offers day assistance and mhok just swoops right in and takes day’s arm like the good old days as tho nothing ever happened much less they broke up THREE YEARS AGO and haven’t spoken since???? ? ? I was hoping u guys were exaggerating at least a little when u said mhok goes back to flirting as soon as he sees day again but u were absolutely right. This is so ridiculous. Mhok still AFTER ALL THIS TIME and everything day put him thru has debilitating day brainrot I KNOW he is Simp Supreme but I was holding out SO MUCH HOPE that there was a LITTLE more to him than that……. Like his main character trait is Heart Full of Love which is wonderful but the way the show has laser focused that love on day to his personal detriment (unwilling if not unable to prioritize himself under any circumstances) and to the detriment of mhok as a character having any substance (spineless pushover who will forgive day’s egregious treatment faster than the speed of light literally as soon as he sees his face because DAY!!!!) GOD mhok was already (before this point) a compelling character despite being so poorly fleshed out and he CARRIED the show and their relationship like he’s gonna need physical therapy after all the heavy lifting he was doing these past 11 episodes, he was the catalyst for ALL of day’s growth. Without mhok day would still be rotting in his bedroom. Would it have killed them to cut some of the unnecessary mini arcs (eh hem AUGUST, the eye donation, his mom’s bullshit, the night forgiveness arc was definitely necessary but proooobably did not need to be dragged out quite that long) in order to give mhok SOMETHING!!!! Literally anything at all. It’s like the writers as well as day only cared about him as long as he served their purpose. They gave him ZERO purpose outside of day. The ONE SINGLE TIME he pushed thru and made anything about himself we all saw what happened. It’s like they punished him for trying to be his own person!!!! The writers seemingly don’t give a FUCK about mhok outside of his relation to day. That’s probably the worst part about this mess to me. Day’s regression/severe late stage mischaracterization sucked but at least he grew at all and had characterization to get wrong lmao. Mhok was a pawn and they used him and gave him NOTHING in exchange for his crucial role in the progression of the story. ~Ohhhhh, a job abroad that he literally didn’t want~ that doesn’t COUNT!!! He gave and GAVE and everyone including the writers of the damn show did nothing but TAKE from him. Everything good he ever had. Mhok baby I am SO sorry they did u like that, you deserved so much better 😭😭😭😭
