I could see Dorian and Astarion having Cyra and Gale babysit Kit because "it would be good practice for them", but it ends up being chaos because turns out a dhampir baby is a little different than a normal baby.
ok this is even funnier because in the timeline in my brain, dadstarion would actually happen AFTER dadkarios. which means they actually said "they've already got a normal one, what's the worst that could happen?"

Recently reblogged that whole 'astarion-would-buy-you-giant-bouquets-to-show-his-love' post, and it got me thinking-- while I, personally, don't think he would do anything that saccharine to show his affection, what would he do?
Without further ado, things I think Astarion would actually do to show his affection:
Headbutt you
Randomly bite you
Bring you the exsanguinated corpses of your enemies
Curl up into you
Brush/braid/tend to your hair
Embroider something for you
Create a poison for you
Make sure you go to bed
Sit with you while you eat
Help you make selfish choices you're unwilling to make for yourself
Tell someone off for you
Cool you down on a hot day
Show you off to others
Unabashed, over-the-top flirting
In private, weird and sincere compliments
This is just how I interpret his character of course, so I love to see how others show his affection!!

people saying that blocking celebrities just means you're bitter abt them having money like... no ? it's not about people making money. it's about them not using their extensive resources to help people with none. then they wanna say it's an extension of cancel culture but again... no ? nobody is saying to outright cancel them but to understand that your attention can be put in a different place. these people have had so long to speak up and try to help the people of Palestine or Sudan or the Congo and they chose to put their time and effort into other things. now we will put our time and effort into other things !
and they will continue to be blocked by me even after they start raising awareness bc 1. ik their cult followers will stick w them no matter what anyone says or what they do so they'll always have some type of platform. 2. it gives me the ick that they only want to speak up when people start ignoring them like they ignored the genocide for so long.

I hated visiting Instagram. It's the corniest place on the internet. I'm not kidding. You've never seen a bigger group of phonies in your entire life. There was this girl called Chiara Ferragni who had about a million posts about how much she loved Nespresso. That just killed me. It really did. Her followers in the comments were kicking their heads off about how gorgeous and talented she was. People who follow influencers always do that. Act like they're great friends or something and just the swellest people you can imagine. I sort of hated old Chiara for her phony smile and twenty thousand emojis and the way she acted like Nespresso was just the grandest thing in the world. Grand. I hate that word. What kills me is that she got a tidy paycheck for writing those snobby, phony posts. She really did! Strictly commercial. But her followers slobbered all over her. For Chrissake.

I will say, I don't understand the compulsion to claim anytime a writer used to write fanfic that they repurposed their fanfic. Like read like 3 things by the same author and you'll realize authors have their things, characters and plotlines they like, words or metaphors they prefer. It can often be an intimate experience where you start to get the sense of what is haunting that author. Yes their works may look similar but they are in fact written by the same person, enjoy getting to know them. And furthermore I hate the culture of artists having to pretend art doesn't inspire other art without fearing accusations of plagiarism
