YESSS! DOZI IS BACK!!! super serious and important question: if dozi!gran and dozi!todoroki met, would get to bond over their theories or would they duke it out in the battle for the ultimate 'izuku's parentage' conspiration? i can see gran starting very annoyed about this younging believing he knows more about toshinori than he does and then having a moment of doubt (that he never would admit to) bc 'what if this is why toshinoi is so against the granma nana theory?' but after a very threatening talk about whether or not toshi had been knowingly depriving him of grandkids he'd be back to his own theory
Gran is lucky enough to be able to check for a fact and know that this kid is not Toshinori's. Shoto is lucky enough to be able to doubt Izuku and All Might no matter how much they deny it

Anger and Misunderstandings Pt2 of 2
DILF Midoriya Izuku x Wifey Reader
Tumblr media
Context: An anon had asked me what if we had Angry Dilf Izuku but one of his kids disrespected reader, like what happened with angry Dilf Katsuki. Sorry for losing your question Anon.
[PART 1 OF 2] [Midoriya Izuku Masterlist]
This was a very interesting one to write considering the fact that Izuku grew up with basically a single mother and we’ve never seen him seriously punish the boys..
Note: Disrespect, previous arguments, angst, effects of bullying and feeling left out. Happy ending.
"YOU SAID WHAT TO MOM AND DAD?!"
Asahi winced as he sighed. He put his head in his hands. "I know."
"No I think you DON'T know." Toshinori emphasised as he stood in front of his younger brother, Kane at his side, standing as a mediator with his hands in his pockets. The blond teenager was also surprised by the events that Asahi had just expressed. Toshinori sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. "And this is why we need to start beating kids again." Kane let out a humoured scoff. "And you've been here how long?"
They sat in their grandmother's apartment, Inko having gone out to buy groceries. Asahi lifted his head up to look at his brother. "A week." He revealed. "Mom came to pick me up Sunday night but I told Obaasan that I wanted to stay with her for longer so she told mom she'd look after me."
Toshinori nodded. "Okay, that might be the smartest thing you did in the past three months." He answered. Toshinori put his hands together. "Forgive me brother, but I have to be blunt with you." He warned as he took a step forward closer to his brother. He took off his slipper and raised it. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING!?" He swatted his brother in the head with his slipper.
"OW!" Asahi raised his arms to protect himself from his antics.
"WHO THE HELL DID YOU THINK YOU WERE TALKING TO!? YOU SWORE AT MOM!? ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?! AND HOW THE HELL COULD YOU SAY THAT TO DAD!! FOR THE SMARTEST KID I KNOW YOU SURE DO STUPID THINGS! YOU DUFUS!" Toshinori shouted as he swatted his brother with his slipper hard.
"OW! CAN YOU CUT IT OUT!"
"DID YOU CUT IT OUT WHEN MOM ASKED YOU TO!? NO!" Toshinori shouted back at him with a pointed look. "IF MOM AND DAD WON'T BEAT YOUR ASS, I'LL DO IT FOR THEM!"
"OW! THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU HAVE ONE FOR ALL, YOU CAN KILL ME YOU KNOW!"
Toshinori scoffed as he slapped his brother on the back side of the head. "Mom and dad won't mind! They can always just make another son!" He shouted.
Kane let it happen for a few seconds, feeling that it was rightfully deserved. You were the closest thing to a mother to him, and so rightfully so, he thought Asahi deserved a good beating, but maybe that was the Bakugou in him talking. "Alright Toshinori. The little shit gets the drift." He stated putting a hand to Toshinori's shoulder.
Toshinori huffed as he stopped his assault on his brother, putting down his slipper and slipping it back onto his foot. Asahi carefully lowered his arms, seeing that he was in the clear. He put back on his glasses with a frown at having to undergo such assault
Toshinori scowled down at his brother in disappointment. "What possessed you to speak to mom that way?" He asked lowly. "She does nothing but give her everything for us. She devouts her entire life to her sons and here you are treating her like trash." Asahi looked down away from his brother swallowing down the heavy pill as he fought back tears. "And I don't think you understand just how goddamn lucky you are."
Asahi paused as he flicked his gaze up to his seventeen year old brother. His eyebrows furrowed. "What?"
"Asahi." Toshinori let out a breath. He tried to find the words for it. "I don't think you understand just how much dad loves mom." He tried to explain to his younger brother. "Now don't get me wrong, dad loves us to bits. He'd do anything for us. But dad is the terrifying ability to cut off all emotions when it comes to certain people and Uncle Kacchan and our grandfather were two of those people." He listed on two of his fingers, Kane nodding in agreement. "Dad arguably loves mom more than he loves us. Who can blame him? Dad has known mom for over two decades but he is just getting to know you and who you are becoming. Honestly, I expected a harsher punishment than just 'go stay at grandmas' but I think we both know that that's even more painful."
Asahi looked away from Toshinori not wanting to aknowledge it. Half of Asahi wished that you and his father had just done something, anything else, but send him away was another sort of pain he wasn't sure how to digest. That his dad couldn't bring himself to be around him for a day because of the things he said, it was a terrifying realisation.
Toshinori sighed as his shoulders dropped. "Now tell me why on earth did you disrespect mom." His younger brother didn't answer immediately. "Boy, I will pick up my slipper and-"
"Because it's not fair!" Asahi burst out.
Kane's eyebrows raised in surprise. "Huh, it worked." He let out surprised.
Toshinori's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What's not fair?"
"Life!" He shouted. "Do you know how it's like to be the youngest kid in your grade and be quirkless? People think I'm some weirdo at school!" He motioned to the side. "Kids don't want to be my friends and if they do, it's because I'm the Number One hero's son not because I'm me!" He motioned to himself as fat Midoriya tears fell from his eyes. "I hate it! I can never fit in no matter how hard I try! And it doesn't help that mom and dad are so fixated on you!"
His older brother raised his green eyebrows up in confusion. "On me?"
"Of course you!" Asahi shouted. "You're the eldest son of the Number One hero of Japan! You have dad's quirk! You are constantly praised and upheld as this miracle child and you're so much like dad it leaves me (and I'm not sure about the others) in your shadow!"
Toshinori paused before letting out a chuckle at how rich this was. he put a hand to his face. Asahi paused as he looked up at his brother in shock that he was laughing at him. "Oh you must be kidding, Asahi. I'm the eldest! I'm the experiment child! You don't want to be me."
"Of course I'd want to be you!"
"NO!" Toshinori now adamently denied with a pointed look. "No you don't. Asahi..." He took a moment chuckling to himself, deciding to be transparent here. "I don't think you understand, I have nothing, absolutely nothing other than One for All." He stressed, his face falling of all humour. "You think you want to be me? My entire existence was based off the fact that I was expected to take dad's place as the Number One hero. I'm lucky that I wanted to be a hero but that's also because I've got nothing! I'm not smart enough to get into a good university degree, I'm not passionate enough about anything else to work at it to be good enough to earn a living for myself. All I have is this passed on quirk and the entire legacy of our father resting on my shoulders."
Asahi froze as he looked at his older brother. Toshinori looked at him with glossy eyes but he didn't shed a tear, he just frowned as he looked at Asahi. Kane took a step forward and put a hand to Toshinori's shoulder.
It snapped the other teen out of his daze as he sniffed and straightened up his posture, he put a smile to his face, hiding whatever baggage he held over his head.
"But you..." He motioned over to Asahi. "Man, you should hear the way mom and dad talk about you. The way they praise you. Dad had to spend hours talking to deans in universities around this country to give you a shot and prove how smart you were and that he wasn't just trying to use his name to get you special privileges. Mom always tells her friends about how one day you're gonna do something extraordinary." Toshinori was being honest with his younger brother. "You are more like dad than I could ever be. If he had never been a hero, he probably would have been just like you. So smart and talented without needing to be a hero to prove his worth, which is what he hopes for you."
Toshinori let out a shaky breath as he chuckled.
"So how about you get off your sorry butt and we head back home and you apologise, hm? I'm sure mom would make a good katsudon too! Hopefully dad wouldn't eat it all by the time we-"
Toshinori stopped talking as he looked down at his younger brother who had his arms wrapped around him. Asahi had ditched his glasses and had buried his face in his chest. "Thanks Toshi." He let out lowly.
Toshinori scoffed with a roll of his eyes. "Okay, okay, no need to turn into a sappy piece of brocolli. I didn't do anything."
"He really didn't. He beat you more than he did anything productive." Kane expressed.
Toshinori glared at his best friend. "And why are you even here?"
Kane shrugged. "Just had to make sure you didn't kill your brother. As your mothers favourite son, I can't sit back and let that happen."
"Are you, as a Bakugou, really telling me that your my mom's favourite?"
Kane ignored ignored Toshinori as he looked down at Asahi. His crimson eyes were gentle despite the fact that he always seemed rather monotonous in expression. "Asahi, let me give you a piece of advice." He started. "As someone without a mother and a present father, you are very lucky." He expressed. "Truly. Don't take that for granted."
Toshinori and Asahi glanced at each other before looking at Kane. "Kane, do you need therapy or something?" Toshinori asked. "Like seriously, are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Are you sure? Because I swear I've never seen you smile in more than three years."
"CAN WE FOCUS ON THE REASON WHY WE ARE HERE PLEASE?!"
You sat outside reading a book as Koda and Shoyo tried feeding the bunnies. Your two youngest sons, five and seven, were hand in hand as Shoyo tried to teach his younger brother how to do it. Your husband held you back against him as the both of you sat in the hanging cushioned seat. His eyes were closed as he held you against his chest, quiet.
You turned to look up at him, hickeys littered his neck. You kissed his jaw making his green eyes fluttered open. He looked down at you before giving you a gentle smile. He let out a hum as he tightened his arms around you and kissed your neck.
You ran a hand through his curls with a chuckle. "Tired, Mr Midoriya?" You asked him amusedly.
"Only if you go back upstairs with me." He gave the condition that made you giggle.
You gave him a look with a raised eyebrow. "Please." You let out in disbelief. "We have spent more than enough time in the bedroom today." You reminded him.
"Not nearly enough, in my opinion." You felt his lips move down to your own. You couldn't help but smile at the kiss, glad he was having a good time this fine evening as the sun began to set. You kissed him back.
"Mom! Dad!" You both turned to see Hero standing at the sliding door. "Look who's here!"
Stepping from behind Hero was your eldest son as well as his best friend. You smiled. "Toshinori! Kane! Hello boys." You waved at the two of them, not having seen them in person in the past few weeks. However, peaking out from behind was Asahi. Your eyebrows raised in surprise, not having heard from Inko to come and pick him up.
"HI MOM!" Toshinori waved over to you as he came down the steps of the patio to the garden. He walked over to you and bent down to kiss your head. "Evening dad."
"Hey kiddo." Izuku smiled, giving his son a fist bump. "How's school?"
"Fine. Uncle Shinso says hi by the way. Also, what's on your neck?" Toshinori's eyes went into a glare aimed at his father.
You giggled as you turned your attention to Kane. Kane stopped not too far away but his crimson eyes were on you. "Hello Kane." You stood up from where you were seated on top of Izuku.
"Evening, Aunty Y/N." He greeted you with a gentle smile.
You walked up to the now tall boy. Just like Toshinori, he was now taller than you and much bigger too. You put your hands to cup his face making him visibly ease. "Look at you, you're so tall now. How's training been?"
His gaze softened as he eased into your touch. "Just fine." He told you gently. The blond boy was like a son to you and you smiled, happy to know you could support him.
"Can you help me by bringing Shoyo and Koda inside? It's getting dark."
He nodded his head. "Of course, anything for you." He answered honestly, moving to go fetch your two youngest.
You smiled before turning to head back inside, ignoring Toshinori and Izuku's bickering about how much touch was too much, regarding you. You entered your house as you walked to the kitchen. You checked on dinner that was in the two ovens. The smell of lasagne wafted through your kitchen making you smile.
"Mom..." You paused as you turned around to where Asahi was. Fourteen year old son stood by the island counter, his eyes downcasted as he refused to look at you. You noticed that his hands were shaking as he stopped, keeping his distance away from you. "Mom I'm... I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean- I mean I did mean but I didn't intend to hurt you. I just... I hate school and it's been so rough for me and then there's you and dad and Toshinori and it's all just-"
This was the first time you saw your son so emotional. Sometime before the age of eight, Asahi turned rather analytical and fact based. You knew it was just his personality and whenever he did need to talk, he would come to you and talk, but now... now here he was, tears falling from his eyes as he tried to apologise to you.
"And I know dad won't forgive me and I don't blame him but please... please don't give up on me." He finished, closing his eyes.
You gave him a sad smile as you put down your oven mitts and walked over to your second eldest son. You carefully cupped his face in your hands making his eyes open to look at you. You wiped his big tears from his face as you looked down at him. "Asahi, if there's one thing about your father that I know, is that he has a very big heart. Families fight and argue, me and your father do it to, but if there's one things we don't do, is give up on each other. Sometimes we need space but we'll come back stronger. So it's okay." You whispered as you smiled down at him. You saw him try to fight back a sob but you just took off his glasses and pulled him into a hug. You pat his back the same way you used to when he was a baby and that was when the flood gates opened.
You silently chuckled. Midoriya's and their tears.
"Dad."
Izuku was still outside when everyone had gone inside to set the table and get ready for dinner. Izuku turned to look at Asahi. He turned back forward to look at the dark garden. The bunnies hopped into their rabbit house safe from the fears of outside. Angelica-Nina's daughter, just as fiesty as her mom, sat in his lap, her dark black ears with white tips were laying against her back as she loafed herself on Izuku's lap.
Asahi took a deep breath as he walked over to where his father sat on the steps of the patio. "Dad I..." He wasn't even sure where to start. His father's presence had never felt so imposing like now. He swallowed down hard, mustering up the courage. "I know I disappointed you and I'm sorry. What I did and said to you and mom was horrible. I just... it's been so hard at school. I don't have any friends there and I guess trying to fit in made me forget my values. I know that's not an excuse and I'm sorry. I really am. I... I can understand if you're angry at me and if you'd want me to continue staying at Obaasan's place, and Toshinori said I should prepare for a slipper to the head from you as well and-"
"Asahi." The sound of his name from his father made him stop.
Izuku motioned down next to him, tapping the space next to him. Asahi silently listened as he walked over to his father slowly. He sat down beside him. Izuku looked up at the sky and the few stars that sprinkled the sky since they were so close to the city.
Izuku drew in a breath. "I remember many years ago, when I was actually your age, I made my mother cry. And not out of worry or happiness." He revealed. Asahi stared up at him with wide eyes. "All my life until high school, I was quirkless. I was treated below the rejects and I had no friends in school after the age of seven. When I was fourteen a new phone had just came out that I wanted because everyone else was getting it.
The bullying seemed to only get worse considering the fact that I was not as well off as the other kids. So I asked your grandma if I could get that new phone. She said no, because we didn't have the money for it. She was a single mother that had to provide for her and her son. I got angry, mostly due to the fear of being left out. I shouted at her and screamed about how I just wanted to be like the other kids. I will never forget the look on my mother's face when I stopped speaking."
Asahi looked up at his dad seeing something in his eyes he rarely saw. Regret and anger turned at himself. Izuku was always close with his mother so the thought of him actually shouting at her seemed something so out of character of him. "Then... then what happened."
Izuku sighed. "She got me that phone a month later, at the expense of her own self of course." He revealed. "However, I found the receipt and returned it the very next day untouched. It wasn't worth the pain of the one person who loved me." Izuku turned to Asahi, looking down at his son with a gentle smile. "I get it, and I'm sorry that you have to go through that Asahi." He put a hand to his son's back. "I'm sorry that you've been feeling so lonely, but the way you spoke to me and your mother was not okay. You understand that?"
"Yes."
"Good. That's all we've got to sort out. Your mother and I will put you in a new school if you really want." Asahi's eyes widened in surprise. "You're a smart kid so the time you're out of school you can catch up in no time."
Taking Izuku by surprise, his fourteen year old son hugged him. "Dad." Asahi let out muffled. "You're a good dad."
It took Izuku a moment but his gaze softened as he put his arm around Asahi and squeezed. "Thank you."

cw: angst. character death. you and izuku are married and have a young son. godparent!katsuki. katsuki has an unnamed wife.
Your son always starts a fuss when you bring him to his grandmother’s house, but for some reason, as you slowly trudge up the steps to your mother-in-law’s modest home (she’d refused to let her son move her out into your large shared home or even a much larger, more roomy domicile of her own), you find that your son is eerily quiet, as though he can sense the turmoil inside of you and is choosing to give you a much needed break.
By the time he makes it into Inko’s arms, he’s always less fussy, but today he’s quietly looking at you, curiously, as if he’s waiting for you to break down and cry. He’s unnerving that way, gifted with practically the same emotional intuition as your sweet husband, and it doesn’t help that he has practically the same face. Inko is quick to take your behaving not-yet-toddler from you, and gives you a sympathetic look. She is not going to the funeral yet because she plans to watch your son, but she’s spent practically every night this week at Mitsuki’s house, preparing food and helping her through her tears. You’ve helped your best friend, Katsuki’s wife, grieve similarly, but now that the final moment has come to lay him to rest, you feel dread rising in the pit of your stomach.
You should not show your face. After all, you killed Katsuki Bakugou.
After you repeat this statement again out loud to your mother-in-law, shaky hands folded in your lap as she hands you a glass of water and tries to steady your nerves, she reminds you, as all good mothers would, that it wasn’t your fault.
He’d meant to save you. You hadn’t been the one to force an unclosable hole through his chest, and if it hadn’t been you standing and vulnerable in that particular spot, it would have been someone else he’d have aimed to save.
Perhaps that last part is true. Or perhaps, because you are one of his closest friends' treasures, he fought a little bit harder, moved a little bit quicker and a little bit more recklessly to ensure that you made it out, that you’d be the one to explain to your best friend why her husband is not coming home to dinner, rather than he have to explain to Izuku why the mother of his child is no longer of this world. It’s a moment that plays in your mind constantly ever since you first heard the sickening crunch of bone and sinew give way, the spray of your child’s godfather’s blood soaking your clean clothes.
You’d just been at the grocery store and run into each other by chance. It’s been over a decade long gag now to pretend you hate each other more than everything while acknowledging that you’ve both intertwined your lives with a person the other holds terribly dear. When you saw Katsuki you crinkled your nose, a joke akin to ‘look what the cat dragged in’ muttered in some variation by you both, before walking side by side and catching up. The four of you had dinner plans that weekend anyway and Katsuki takes the idea of godparent far too seriously for being an only child, and thus was far too interested in what you were putting in your cart.
“I read kids develop their tastes early in life and I don’t think this” - he picks up a six-pack carton of juice that was admittedly laden in sugar from your cart - “is particularly conducive to healthy development.”
“Katsuki, I didn’t ask you,” you hiss, snatching it out of his hands, then sheepishly add, “in fact, that was mine.”
He laughs and shakes his head.
“Figures for all that chaotic energy you have,” he jokes.
You had more to say to him, and then merely ten minutes later, in a flurry of explosions and debris, screams and scattered people,  you were staring straight through his chest to the other side.
“Fuck.”
Fuck? You thought. Katsuki looking at you, then looking at the gaping wound in his chest, then looking at the incapacitated villain and the destroyed supermarket, then looking back at your hands deep in his wound, pressing down at his chest desperately to stop the bleeding as best you can, tears running down your cheeks. You who so often were joined at the hip with the one he loves, who’s grown to merge their natural smile with Izuku’s over time, whose face is distorted in fear and shock and desperation to keep him alive so you don’t have to tell your best friend that you are the reason he’s no longer here to protect her.
Because he was protecting you. For his friend. For his wife. For the kid you’ve entrusted to him in case something happens to your or Izuku's child, who better not get that goddamn juice box.
“Hey, it’s okay.”
You want to scream, no it’s not, it will never be, how am I supposed to tell her-
“I forgive you. I’m not mad. Just take care of her, okay?”
Katsuki’s voice was the quietest, calmest you had ever heard it be since you’ve met him and you hate that he smiled, and you hate hate hate that Izuku would have done it for him, too.
The shaking turns into sobs again and Inko holds your hands tightly. Your son is upstairs, too occupied with toys, again far too polite and considerate, and you wonder if he’ll remember how hard you are crying right now. If he’ll remember his father crying and holding you that terrible evening. You wonder what he’ll do when he’s old enough to know why his auntie doesn’t have a husband and why there are four people smiling in that wedding photo that hangs in your home instead of the three he knows, and who bought him nearly half of his books and toys.
“I can’t go there,” you whisper again.
Inko tilts her head.
“But she needs you,” Inko murmurs. You wipe your tears with the back of your hands. Your husband, who isn’t the coward you are, is already at the funeral, working through funeral arrangements. Your throat dries up at how much he must be apologizing again, or perhaps he’s not apologizing at all, keeping his head up high and reminding everyone that Dynamight died saving someone important to him and what he did was not a mistake.
“Kacchan is a true hero.” Izuku repeated softly into your ear, then to himself, then to you again, then to the world, then to his wife. His wife who should hate you but is too mournful to bother.
“I can’t go there,” you repeat. “I cannot look her in the eyes.”
But your best friend needs you and cried in your arms that very first night.
Inko nods.
“But she’d do it for you,” she says, softly.
She would do it for you, the same way Izuku would have done it for Katsuki.
Moments later, you’re squeezing Dynamight’s widow’s hand as Izuku praises him, and you wish it hadn’t turned out this way but you’re at least fulfilling your promise.
Just take care of her, okay?
You will, for the rest of your life.

Hi, I already made a post about this but I decided to make a more elaborate post on the subject
as we know after failing to steal One For All from Banjo and En, All for one realized that he would need a greater will than the user and his predecessors to steal the OFA, as he could not, he proceeded to find a Suitable Successor/Receptacle with enough will to steal the One for all
Due to the Connection with All Might, the Shimura family was the main sieve of All for one, but it was not the only one, as we know Garaki had several Orphanages and All for one probably Evaluated and tested possible Vessels there, including Number Six
Tumblr media
This shows that even though he was working at Tenko, he was never the Only Possibility, because that doesn't suit someone who is always planning all the variables.
Tumblr media
but he didn't limit it to Garaki or Shimuras, as shown with his experiment with Touya Todoroki
Tumblr media
as All for one was coincidentally already at the mountain that day, it is possible that he used "Forced Activation" to cause the Fire, These three Shigaraki, Dabi and Number Six all have their hatred shaped based on some kind of heroic obsession.
What if this was also the case for Izuku Midoriya, but perhaps this would be a slightly more complex Experiment because of this because of this he was secondary, it would be an even more ambitious Vessel, since All for one would play a little with the Quirk Singularity, and your own genetics by having a child with someone from the fourth generation, the first generation that demonstrated the concrete Signs
Tumblr media
the goal was not only to create an All for one with the ability to Hold the complex Quirks of the future, but also combined with Inko's Quirk it would be able to Steal Quirks without the need for direct touch, as it is already difficult to copy the All for one in a perfect and functional way, it is impossible to create something even more powerful in the laboratory
to avoid attracting attention All for one blocked his son's Quirk at birth, just as he removed the Tenko factor
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just as he encouraged heroic desires in Number Six and Shigaraki, the same would be done with Izuku, being from birth imbued with heroism and All Might, all so that when he saw himself Quirkless, society and reality would crush that dream, transformed into hatred and resentment, creating the will necessary to Steal One For All, he knew Izuku would be bullied (Maybe he even encouraged this behavior)
In order for the child to be monitored more closely and by a specialist, All for one asked The Tsubasa Family (Garaki's pseudonym) to move close to where he placed the Midoriyas
Tumblr media
interestingly Koga (AFO Construction Site) Musutafu and Jakku Hospital then connected in a triangle close to each other, for easy accessibility to AFO and Garaki
Tumblr media
and both families knew each other, little Tsubasa played with Izuku and Katsuki, and Izuku's mother knew Tsubasa's mother, probably that's why they went to Garaki since the families were already friends
Tumblr media
Tsubasa was eventually transformed into Nomu for reasons currently unknown.
However, the Bullying did not have the expected effect and did not generate in Izuku the hatred and resentment that AFO wanted and neededIzuku was too good, he didn't create a grudge, he didn't get that hatred for society that Tomura got, which made Shigaraki Tomura the suitable Vessel for All for one, which made all for one leave this family adventure aside and focus on Tomura, leaving an automatic network sending money under the banner of a "Hisashi working overseas"
Maybe the reason AFO categorizes Izuku as Useless, and criticizes Yoichi for trusting him with the OFA is because he didn't become a Suitable Vessel and didn't live up to expectations, almost a parallel to Dabi, right?
Maybe he left it to use Izuku's Quirk when it was really necessary in the future

What is an antagonist in My Hero Academia?
Okay, I saw stirrings of this topic rumbling about, and I just have to jump in this time. Please note that I am doing so gleefully and excitedly. This is meant to be fun.
With recent advents in the MHA story, apparently there are some who now want to call Tomura Shigaraki a deuteragonist, or even THE deuteragonist. I see why they're saying this. I think the urge lies in the potential that Shigaraki could turn on AFO and become a hero in some sense. He could join forces with Izuku Midoriya! I am here to argue that Shigaraki is absolutely not a deuteragonist, and I mean this as a good thing.
Tomura Shigaraki is an antagonist. He is the ULTIMATE antagonist. What is happening with him in the current story does not contradict that idea but enforces it.
An antagonist is a character acting in opposition to the protagonist. Right away you may say "Then if Shigaraki stops opposing Izuku Midoriya the protagonist, that would make him not an antagonist by definition!" Hold your horses, friends. I maintain that Shigaraki is an antagonist still. An antagonist is not someone who by definition must be destroyed by the protagonist just to be considered an antagonist in the first place.
Horikoshi has already set the terms for what constitutes antagonism in My Hero Academia. Antagonists are not antagonists because they fight against Izuku Midoriya; they are antagonists because they represent a large obstacle preventing Izuku Midoriya from saving someone.
Tumblr media
Izuku Midoriya is a protagonist who exemplifies the desire to save people. His terms for victory are defined by saving people. It is this ideal that acts as the cornerstone for the story and inspires other characters to admire and follow in Izuku's footsteps.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is why Izuku is a radical, perspective-challenging character. He is not a bland protagonist in a generic shounen manga. MHA is in many ways a meta commentary on the genre and on storytelling itself. Izuku consistently demonstrates that, in a world of comic book superheroes, defeating an enemy in a fight holds little value for him. Everything is about rescue.
To demonstrate, I shall now show you some of Izuku's other antagonists.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now don't get me wrong. Izuku has other antagonists too, like Stain and Endeavor and Dabi and Overhaul and AFO--but those antagonists still are such in the sense that they are hurdles to Izuku saving someone.
Many of the above pictured characters are antagonists who even fight Izuku, and yet their battles culminate in Izuku saving them (or else partially saving and then punting the complete rescue to some other moment down the line if they're a recurring antagonist). The point is, they didn't cease to become antagonists the moment Izuku saved them either. Even in those moments when we see the results of their rescues, such as Shouto visiting his mother in the hospital and Inko allowing Izuku to return to UA and Katsuki rekindling his friendship with Izuku and Eri smiling for the first time in ages and Gentle joining the side of the heroes and Nagant turning her back on AFO, those moments were not the characters changing from antagonist to protagonist. They were the moments showcasing Izuku's victory and the arc's conclusion. Each of these characters serves as an antagonist for a particular story arc. So long as we're still within the same self-contained story arc, that character is still technically an antagonist even after Izuku has won. Their functional statuses as characters in a story only change when the story moves onto the next arc.
This means Shouto is an antagonist through the moment he visits his mother in the hospital for the first time because the scene serves to show us how Izuku has saved him. But then Shouto functionally changes so that he is no longer an antagonist in the next story arc. In the Stain arc, Shouto serves as a protagonist or co-protagonist or deuteragonist or tritagonist depending on how you wanna define those terms. Just because his role changes doesn't mean he isn't still an antagonist during the sports festival. He is! That change is the whole point!
So to bring this back to the ending, Shigaraki himself is an antagonist--and not just any antagonist. He is the overarching antagonist of the entirety of MHA! Because he, not AFO, represents the greatest threat to the protagonist Izuku Midoriya's ideals.
Tumblr media
For every second Tomura Shigaraki rejects Izuku's helping hand, he threatens Izuku's worldview not just that all people have equal hearts in equal need of saving but that Izuku himself is equal to all others. This is the driving existential force that keeps Izuku doing what he does. To Izuku Midoriya, everyone is included in the whole. Everyone. Izuku included. Tomura included.
So now that Tomura may turn on AFO and may change his mindset, we don't have Shigaraki ceasing to be an antagonist. We have Izuku conquering his antagonist, that being Tomura's rejection of salvation. Tomura is becoming a person who can accept help, and that's precisely what has to happen to all of MHA's antagonists in their individual story arcs. These are the terms for the protagonist's victory. Tomura would not be undergoing this change if he wasn't an antagonist. To be an antagonist in MHA is a very important, fundamental role. We're just now seeing the resolution to Izuku's and Tomura's (or Tenko's, if you will) ultimate clash as protagonist and antagonist.
A deuteragonist has a very different role in MHA and that's a whole other post lol

Hi so I have another yandere platonic class 1-a request again if that’s okay
So if Izuku has a cousin(female reader) who has pica (it’s a eating disorder which a person eats things not usually considered food) and she would eat easer shavings because her mother would just ignored her when she was a child and when she was in middle school she ran away to Izuku’s house but never really told anyone about what was happening. So here’s a scenario of Izuku and some of class 1-a walks into a her room and sees her eating some eraser shavings
How would they react? ((I hope this is okay)
(THE FACT THAT I HAVE PICA AS WELL AHHHHH THIS IS GONNA BE SO GOOD )
Tumblr media
• You had this habit for as long as you remember, you always ate things that weren't food or even edible, the main reason is that your mother was always neglectful to bringing in men and just told you to go in your room and play with your toys without any food, at times you even had to sneak out the house and go to your aunty Inko house with your cousin izuku, Inko knew about your situation and took care of you like you were her child
• "Izuku dear your cousin is here!" Inko's mom called not even 3 seconds you heard little footsteps stomping and excited giggling getting louder "Y/N Y/N! YOU'RE HERE" Izuku ran up and tackled you with a hug, 2 of you were on the ground and started giggling "I bought my super cool Remote control robot with me we can pretend this is the villain and we're the heroes!" The green boy was amazed at the idea and the two of you ran off while Inko giggled to herself
•The 1st person to notice that you had pica was your auntie Inko she noticed how you were always chewing on things like scissors, dirt, or even paper at 1st she thought it was because you were just a child with a big appetite but even when you were full you still went back to this behavior so when she took you to the quirk doctor about this behavior after a few test you were diagnosed with pica so then on after your mother abandoned you with one of the playboys she started taking care of you and izuku
• one-day Bakugo was picking on you for this calling you a dirt eater and picking up worms "Come on Sissy eat it you like eating dirt so much eat it" mocking you to eat them but you used his quirk to make him fly back and the two of you gone at it punching, pulling, biting while the other kids were cheering on but izuku was worried so he tried to run over but was too scared to get hurt as well so he got into and Mitsuki, Both women ran over and broke you two apart while into was checking on ur bruises and scratches mitsuki grabbed katsuki and put him on his him while he struggled and kicked and yelled insults "Inko I am so so so sorry for my son's horrible behavior ill make sure he learns a lesson" Mitsuki bowed her head in front of inko "I'm sorry too ill make sure ill talk with this young lady here the 2 of you had a stern talk about it but you got some ice cream and izuku kiss your boo-boos and helped with putting on all might banaids
Years passed and now you were in Ua your cousin was more protective than you ever, since that incident he swore to always protect you and never leave you behind he worked extra hard when all might training him not only to become a number one hero but to protect you and to be heroes together! Whenever someone looked at you funny he gives them a deadly glare and they'll back off immediately you were there when he was down and he was gonna repay you back he always made you hold hands or be by you to remind you that he should be your only friend
While you were talking to your cousin while chewing on an eraser and your cousin ranting about all might and his notebook going to your next period. A short punk -haired girl stopped in front of the two of you she smiled at you while the both of you looked confused and Izuku looked tab annoyed "Uhh who are you-" "Hello! I'm Mina! Mina Ashido Are you two twins!?" She said observing you two looking at each other "Actually we're cousins!"
"Oh, I'm sorry! Mina sheepishly said while rubbing the back of her head "It's fine we get that a lot! It's normal for us plus we act like brother and sister!" You playfully hit Izuku in the shoulders while he playfully glared at you "Anyways! Me and my friends were talking alot about you and we wanted to invite you to hang out with us!" You were flattered and blushed at her comment "uh yeah I can join! Is that's ok izuku" Izuku wanted to protest but with the look of excitement on your face he didn't want you to hate him and see him as a bad brother cousin so he mentally rolled his eyes and said "yea plus it can be like a girls day for you!"
Time skip to lunch
• the two of you were walking into class when a short brown head girl waved her hand signaling you both to join her you both walked over and sat down "Hey izuku and you must be?" "Y/n, y/n Midoriya!" You introduce yourself making the girl brighten up "Ah how nice! You look so adorable!" You blushed embarrassingly at that comment "Ah stop it you're making me blush! You were soon introduced to iida and Tsuyu then Todoroki and all started chatting happily
•you were soon Introduce with kirishima, tokoyami, a silly goofball denki, Sero, hakagure, Aoyama and more and started to make a bond with them even amends with bakugo (kinda)
•you mostly hang out with the dekusquad but the bakusquad would always try to invite you in any way they can which starts a war
•the girls would always have slumber parties or tea parties and if you weren't interested in those chaotic board games where you mostly won
•the boys would try and team up with each other like Bakugo and Kirishima Denki and Sero would invite you to laser tag fighting over who would win the most points for you to get a prize or Izuku, shoto and iida would take you out on to the mall and spoil you
• one-day Tokoyami was looking for you because you promised you would read his poems so when he went into your room he saw you chewing on some paper you explained why you have this habit and you had it when you were 4 which he completely understood heck dark shadow started to eat paper (like cookie monster eating s cookie) you couldn't stop laughing when tokoyami tried to take the paper out his mouth
•Koda would watch you making sure you won't try to eat the grass and try to make you eat delicious berries and edible plants
•Sato pack some pastries for you whenever you felt like wanting to chew on something not edible
•bakugo would just smack whenever your chewing on telling you that's disgusting while giving you your favorite snackyou liked as kids saying "chew this shit instead of erasers dumbass!"
•Izuku would pack gum for you in case you fly in the urge to want to chew on your eraser if he runs out he lets you chew on his pencils or ask Aoyama to give you some cheese
•you and kiri literally are twins chewing your erasers is your favorite habit
•Momo would gently let you know how ite unhealthy to chew on thing and blah blah blah while your just over here chewing off your finger nail which she also has to stop you
• Ochaco will let you try and stop yourself from chewing on your hair desperately giving you one-dollar snacks to eat
It didn't matter how werid you thought you were since you will always be their "werid" little sis and if any judge you otherwise they'll be meeting with 18 angry siblings and one cousin ready to break some bones instead of his

Inko midoriya is a bad mum
Yeah you heard it right inko is a bad mother. Look Iam not saying that inko is abusive but Iam saying that she isn't a good mother. YOU CAN CARE FOR YOUR CHILD AND LOVE THEM BUT STILL BE A BAD PARENT.
Somehow doesn't realise the severe bullying izuku went through and him being beat up since the age of 4. Iam so very concerned and confused on how inko never noticed that izuku was getting beat up when coming back home from the park or school it literally makes no sense to me like?!?! It's not like she even works she is a literal stay at home mum so how did she not notice for a good 10+years of izukus life?
Tumblr media
Didn't really do anything about protecting her son until he got a quirk. The only time we actually see inko advocating for her son is AFTER He got his quirk. Look I think quirkless discrimination could of been a thing but seriously this series doesn't treat it like it is like this stuff only happened to izuku and I don't get why she never went to aldera and complained or why she didn't re-enroll her son into another school. How am I supposed to believe that she is somehow a helicopter parent when stuff like this happens and the fact that the plot doesn't allow her to take izuku out of ua and instead somewhat demonised her for that is sad.
She is very emotionally dependent on izuku. No offence but this is the truth. Every single time we see them together there will be a panel or a whole page even dedicated to inko crying to izuku and him having to comfort and honestly as a parent YOU SHOULD BE COMFORTING YOUR CHILD NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND. This also reflects a lot on Izuku's behaviour, throughout the series izuku is actually very emotionally intelligent when it comes to people take the whole Katsuki Vs izuku 2 or take the sports festival and todoroki this could all be a result for him having to take care of his mother emotionally and having to grow up quickly when it comes to emotions. stuff like this explains why he is so emotionally mature and also emotionally intelligent.
Her reaction to him being quirkless and completely breaking down on him. Izuku's is 4 he has very limited knowledge of the world and the stuff around him. Izuku being diagnosed quirkless isn't necessarily something he can fully understand so the only thing he understands is that 1) this diagnosis makes his mother sad and 2) he can't be a hero and do what other kids/the majority of the population can do. Her reaction doesn't help Izuku at all and izuku even goes on to acknowledge such a thing and talk about how he wanted his mother to comfort him instead of cry and profusely apologise. @delawaredetroit talked about the meaning of this panel and how the chair acts as a barrier between the two which I really like and think explains their relationship perfectly
Tumblr media
Her "concern" on the quirk Izuku got. Look your child that has been quirkless for 10 years of his life magically gets a quirk and explains it to you in some gibberish about modern science but then you find out that the quirk is completely different from yours and your husband's genetics and it physically hurts your child to use it. (He hurt himself to the point he had to get surgery?!?!) Instead of questioning the origins of this quirk and asking your son to explain himself or worry about your son hurting himself you JUST COMPLAIN?!?! Complain to the universe about why he got such a dangerous quirk out of nowhere like?!?! Also is it just me BUT THE WHOLE SEVEN TIMES FAINTING IS GETTING TO ME LIKE?!?! Iam confused aren't you supposed to be there for your child why is he supporting you emotionally and mentally on stuff he shouldn't have to worry about
Tumblr media
Izuku's reaction and mentality whenever his mum is brought up. From the few times izuku has thought of his mum in the series you can clearly tell how their relationship really is. Their relationship is literally I can't make my mum sad and I have to be there for her instead of it being the other way round. Like seriously why is izuku waking up from a two day coma and the FIRST THING HE THINKS OF WHEN HE SEES his mother's handwriting is her crying for him to wake up and not to hurt his mum by him getting hurt. This is very concerning?!?! It doesn't help that the two times he actually wakes up from the coma he is the one that has to be there for him mum like he had to comfort her when she found out that villains were after him (understandable) but she should of been there for her child she should of advocated for him or tried to comfort or even reassure him in anyway like seriously?!?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lack of communication between the two. In my opinion these two truly lack communication because why is she bringing the fact that she is going to take him out of UA at that point Infront of all might when she could of had a proper discussion with her son at any point before all might came?!?! It seriously makes no sense and don't get me started on the way she was talking about it like I know she had a point and she was right but the way she brought it up and the way she talked about it were horrible. These two don't necessarily communicate about anything that is solely about izuku himself. Majority of their conversations are about things like heros, inko and her health and some other stuff but none are about the child and solely the child which I find very worrying to be honest. also don't get me started on how izuku never felt responsible or felt like he could trust his OWN MOTHER ENOUGH TO TELL HER About thr bullying or OFA ( still mad that bakugo found out before inko)
Tumblr media
Her allowing her child to go vigilante and not actually sticking up for him during the whole don't let him into UA thing. Idk about you but I genuinely don't understand why a parent who claims to be very overprotrctive of their child allows them to go and become a vigilante and run around while they haven't even fully healed. Also this went on for a month?!?!!! Like we she seriously never went to UA and was like?!?! What about my son is it safe for him or she never set her foot down and was like no izuku you're a child you don't need to fight you shouldn't fight the adults should keep you safe or something along the lines. No we got nothing of the sort all we got was her crying and agreeing to it which is honestly frustrating. Also HOW AND WHY THE HELL WAS SHE NOT ANGRY?!?? LIKE WHY WAS SHE NOT ANGRY AT YAGI?! WHY WAS SHE NOT ANGRY WITH UA ?!? OR AT ANYONE INVOLVED. Are we also forgetting that izuku was also used as a child soldier in the first war without his consent and idk if the parents knew but why was inko not rightfully angry about what happend it makes no sense to me. Oh and don't get me started on the chapter when all the people were like get this kid out like was inko not standing up for her son why didn't she comfort him with Kota when he broke down sobbing like why?!?! How am I supposed to believe that she is a good mother and not neglectful at all when I get THIS
Tumblr media
Her lack of reaction when izuku is on the news for the sludge villain. So almost everyone knows about the sludge villain incident it was literally boardcasted on the news and you're telling me we never got a scene of izuku and inko talking about it, of inko comforting izuku or just inko knowing in general. Like your son was on the news and decided to run into a villain fight and you don't reprimand him or demand to find out why he did it. Like why is it that kirishima and other strangers have more of reaction to the sludge villain incident instead of the main characters mother and I bet izuku didn't even tell his mum that he met all might or that he was attacked by the sludge villain before Katsuki so yeah
Tumblr media
Simply allowing her child to do whatever after waking up from a coma (THIS LEGIT HAPPENS TWICE?!?!) Are you telling me that inko really let her child who woke up from a coma not even long ago just go out because UA required him to or something like she just let izuku do whatever he wants and didn't even come and seem him after he woke up or didn't even come and collect him after he was literally discharged from the hospital!?!? Also I have touched on the 2nd coma thing but the training camp parc inko kinda drives me insane because how do you simply allow this to happen?
Tumblr media
PS this is just stuff from the manga because if you want me to go on about how inko was absent WHEN IZUKU LEGIT GOT ACCUSED OF BEING A MASS MURDER AND DID NOTHING ???! that's not really something imma go into deep depth but wanted to mention (THERE ARE A LOT MORE INSTANCES I DIDNT MENTION)
Look I get it inko is a flawed parent but the narrative doesn't acknowledge that and no one else does. Like I said if horikoshi actually wanted to redeem an abusive parent then he had inko and kotaro idk why the hell he chose someone like enji to fulfill that role because let's be honest enji sucks and so does his redemption. (Neglect is a form of abuse!!!)
Also it's sad inko never gets to be more than the overly emotionally dependent parent to the MC and that's it. Like she has no friends no job no family except of izuku no nothing she is all alone and usually forgotten about in the narrative sometimes I think that a dead parent could of been more useful than her which is sad.
Iam all for inko actually being somewhat of a bad mother who works a lot but loves her child and is now trying to improve and be there but that never happens and izuku deserves so much better cos how come the villain Tenko has a better family and mother than the hero

Inko is a Saiyan (and the number two hero, poor Enji), making Izuku half Saiyan.
Good news about the Era of Chaos! There was no one to notice the Saiyan pod that touched down on earth. After all, this was around the time Yagi acquired One For All (give or take a few years). With how absolutely fucked everything still was, no one from the small community of survivors batted an eye at the woman with a tail showing up with her infant daughter sharing the same 'mutation'
All Might's work to restore peace meant that the small community was able to survive, and not too long after Inko and her mother, Coli, were taken in, society was reestablished, which was great for their food intake. Coli realized pretty quick that if people reacted to Quirks the way they did, aliens were in even more danger so she took the pod and hid it.
Inko's drive to seek out fights plus her family's efforts at reigning in her worse impulses led her to becoming a Hero. Inko is canonically about 5 years younger than Endeavor, and while I could fiddle with that and make them classmates, it's way funnier to me if she becomes a rising star at UA like immediately after he graduates. Sorry, Todoroki Family, this will have repercussions. As a sidenote, Inko's Hero Costume is based on Shallot's Sadala Saiyan armor, because it represents pre-Freeza Saiyans and looks dope as hell.
Inko skyrocketed up the rankings due to her incredible power and proactive attitude (read: she really wanted to find a good fight), while also being more personable with civilians. Endeavor never hit Number 2 Hero, stalling him at Number 3. The HPSC considers her basically a second All Might, for better or for worse (for them). Because of her higher rank, and her ability to associate more with top Heroes, she does eventually confide the truth of her origins to a select few. Namely, All Might and Star and Stripe: the only two Heroes who can match her when she gets in one of her fighting moods.
Hey so the fun thing about aliens is that they don't have Quirks. All Might thus tells Inko about All For One, since she's also uniquely suited to kicking his ass, and indeed, she is a huge help in mopping up AFO's operations that All Might hadn't yet by this point. Naturally, she's a part of the proper showdown when Izuku is 9, and the two of them together are way more than AFO can handle. The look on his face when he couldn't steal Inko's Quirk was priceless. It was also one of the last expressions he ever had.
+1. As the son of the Number 2 Hero and a Number 1 Hero (Yes it's CathInko. You people know what I'm about), Izuku actually lives the high life. The Midoriya/Bate Family has pretty substantial funding, and Izuku gets the benefits of that. This also means he and Bakugou don't know each other. Inko and Coli train Izuku in using his Ki and his Ozaru Form safely. Additionally, as a half-Saiyan, Izuku can't have a Quirk.
+2. Inko's signature technique is called Emerald Lance
+3. Ashido has a tail and a sweet tooth.

Chapter 13 - Walking in circles.
Summary: Fuck the summary, this is the last angsty chapter and it ends on a positive note, so if you were waiting for the angst to end, you can read now! (Warning: it’s 90% angst and 10% comfort though, so if you are hyper super sensitive, wait for the next chapter.)
Warnings: Swear words and a lot of tears and some sad suggestive stuff, because that’s a thing.
First Chapter Master List
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
To do list (Midoriya Izuku)
P.s - this bit is not medically correct for human beings. These people heal differently + this is a fanfiction, don’t forget that.)
After care (chest):
- Change the hydrocolloid dressing on Midoriya-san’s chest once a day for 10 days and use the provided ointment.
- Once the scar stops oozing completely, remove the bandages but use the prescribed cream three times a day to keep the fresh tissue moisturized and clean.
- Do not soak the scar but quick showers are okay after 3 days. Do not use soap, the cream has antibacterial properties anyway.
- Sudden, harsh movements can open up the scar so please refrain from doing anything excessive.
Aftercare (arms)
- Midoriya‘s left arm has a metal plate inside to stabilize the fractured bone and it also has a cast to protect it while it’s healing. Nothing here to do really, just keep the arm away from harm’s way. Do not scratch the skin underneath the cast, even if it itches because it might get infected. (No, you can’t scratch it with black whip. I asked - Ei)
Basics:
- Wheelchair for 3 days to keep the scar on the chest from being pulled.
- After three days, small walks around the house are allowed but nothing else.
- Rehabilitation starts after a week of rest.
- Lifting: small plastic bowl of food is okay, but no heavy plates, no actual workouts, definitely no cars and buildings until advised otherwise. Try to avoid opening doors for the first week. Use a small water bottle to drink, preferably drink with a straw. (Do not lift All Meowth! - Kacchan)
- Please refrain from sexual intercourse for at least until the scar gets healed, which is approximately 2 weeks. Do not lean on your arms. (What he’s trying to say is that you can still do it after 2 weeks if you are the bottom. Just be gentle. You should be fine with being on the top after a month if you are careful, yes, I asked, you are welcome. - Ei)
- Drink plenty of fluids, a healthy diet is advised. Take the prescribed medicine after meals and rest as much as possible.
~•🥦•~
“Welcome home!” Eijirou pops a party pooper as Inko wheels his son into the apartment.
“Really?” Katsuki facepalms himself, waiting for the other shoe to drop as Midoriya has an unpleasant frown on his face instead of a happy one and while you feel bad about siding with the other two instead of Eijirou on this, but… well… there is time and place for a celebration. “We are going.”
“Thanks for everything, guys.” Izuku gives them a sad smile but he doesn’t tell them to stay.
This is the first time when being alone with Izuku doesn’t sound appealing. It’s not because you need to take care of him, hell, you have no problems with doing that, it’s more about the fact that you already know he’s not going to let you do that.
You are terrified of being rejected by him, terrified to see that uncomfortable smile on his face, the one he usually gives to the overly enthusiastic fans when they come too close or ask questions that are too personal.
You know what Izuku needs now has nothing to do with his feelings towards you but there is a voice inside your head telling you that you are just not good enough, that you should just let his mother take care of him and give up before it starts to hurt even more but you try to think about Izuku’s words, about the way he looked at you when you two had a few minutes alone, about the touches you two have shared right before the accident… you know that deep inside, Izuku genuinely wants you here and even if you’ll need to hide in the bathroom to cry sometimes, you know it’s worth it. He’s worth it.
Inko and All Might stays over until you get Izuku’s food heated up. You feel terrible for giving a grown ass man a plastic bowl of Katsudon but you managed to find an All Might themed set in the small convenience store just a few streets down this morning; it comes with a bowl, a plate, a spoon and a fork. You decide to give the utensils to Deku too, just in case it makes him smile a little bit. It’s probably easier for him to eat with a fork right now, anyway.
Just as you make your way out of the kitchen, All Might bursts out laughing at your shenanigans.
“That’s so sweet but also, why is my face so weird?!”
“I have a feeling the makers of this bowl did not pay for the license to use your actual picture so they… made their own version of it.” You smile as you point towards the kitchen. “There is more if you want to eat!”
“No, we are fine, but I do want to see how it turned out! Do you mind if I take a bite?” Mama Inko sneaks closer to the bowl in your hand and steals a piece of meat. “Hmmm, lovely! Good job!” Inko smiles and ushers All Might towards the main door. “We will leave you two, please keep us posted! Izuku, be a good boy and don’t make your Sweet Pea cry!”
“Mom…”
“Okay, honey, do not aggravate the kid.” All Might mutters and Izuku looks at him with an incredulous face, but there is a tiny smile on his lips as he watches the two leave.
“Will they ever stop treating me like I’m a big baby?” Izuku mutters with a fond smile on his face.
“You’ll forever be their baby, Izu, deal with it.”
“But I’m your baby now.” He mumbles under his blushed nose; he looks like a teen trying to flirt for the first time and it’s so fucking adorable you want to kiss him senseless.
“You are. But they don’t need to know that.” You smile back but you can barely finish the sentence before Izuku speaks up again.
“Are you okay, Sweets?”
You almost drop the cup of water in your hand. That question came out of the blue. Are you… okay? You have no idea. Your mind is a mess, you are so fucking worried deep inside you want to yell and cry and break something but you are also happy to be able to be with Izuku right now, to help him, to be close to him.
“A little bit shaken, I guess.” You admit. “It’s a lot but it’s also what I agreed to, it just hits different when you are actually in the situation. But overall, I’m just glad you are alive.”
“I’ll… need some time” He repeats his words from yesterday. “Can we stay in our own rooms for a while?”
It hurts. It really fucking hurts but you brace yourself to smile, making it look like it’s no biggie, even as the world crumbles inside you.
“We can… use the living room as a common space. If you ever feel like talking or just co-existing, just come out. Send me a message when you need any help and please, ask for help, because I will really miss you and if me helping with your dressing or heating up your food is my only way to see you, I’ll gladly take it.”
A few more minutes until Izuku finishes his food. You can do this. You are strong. You are still loved. This is not the end of the world. Just keep the act up for a little bit more for his sake. Please.
“I love you.” Izuku announces confidently. “And once I’m… better… mentally and physically… I’ll show you how much. I promise I’ll make it up to you, for all the pain I’m causing right now. I’ll bring you all the stars from the sky if I need to.”
“I love you too, Izu-Izu.” You try your best to smile but a few stray teardrops manage to escape. Izuku doesn’t comment on it, because Izuku’s face is just as wet as yours.
~•🥦•~
Izuku wasn’t lying when he said he won’t… communicate too much. He only comes out of his room when he gets hungry or when he needs help with the bandages. He’s more than capable to do his everyday things even in the wheelchair; it’s a super high tech one which can go up and down, making the change between sleeping and moving around quite easily manageable even alone. He could probably do his bandages alone as well, with no problem whatsoever but he asks for your help anyway, probably to be able to see you a little bit without the need of a conversation, to steal a few touches before he retreats to his room again, to let you have a bit of time with him even though the distant look in his eyes tells you he’s not ready to do that yet, but still, he gives you a chance every day, let’s you change the bandages and kiss his forehead after you are done. It feels like an atonement, like a silent way of saying “thank you”.
You cry a lot when he’s not around, mostly at night, before you fall asleep with tear-streaked cheeks. You even get some acne overnight, probably from sleeping with a dirty face.
Izuku doesn’t sneak into your bedroom like how he used to. Not on the first night, not the second and not the third but on the fourth night, you hear the door open and close, you hear the buzzing of his wheelchair, you feel the bed dip by your side but you are terrified to make a noise, terrified to scare him away so you keep pretending you are asleep, you let him snuggle closer and try your best not to shiver as Izuku’s lips find your nape and he starts peppering small, slow kisses there, to the only area he can reach. He stays for an hour, maybe two, he runs his nose through your hair, mumbles into your skin, words jumbled and incomprehensible, then goes back to his room and acts like nothing had happened when you meet up in the kitchen in the morning.
There are ink marks on Izuku’s hand the next day, his eyes dark and lifeless like he haven’t slept at all. You call the doctor that day, ask him if it’s okay for him to write. You should probably say something about his lack of sleep as well, but… you just can’t. It feels like a backstab to do so. Izuku have promised he’ll take care of himself so you can’t help but trust him for a little bit longer.
Izuku keeps coming to your room every night but he never stays. Some nights, he doesn’t say anything then some nights he mumbles up a storm, mostly about the villain gang or about how much he hates not being able to help with the investigation. Then he mumbles about missing you, mumbles about how much he wants to kiss you, to hold you in his arms, to carry you to bed like in the “good old days.” There is one time when you mumble back an almost silent “I love you”. Izuku cries. Then he leaves after he’d cried enough.
You change his bandages. You kiss him on the forehead. You give him something to eat. He takes the meds. He pets All Meowth and goes back into his room. There is even more ink smudged on his hand. He’s not sleeping well. He admits he’s been talking to a therapist through the phone. He gives you kisses at night. You change his bandages. He says thank you when you put the All Might bowl down in front of him. He takes a deep breath, his face buried in your hair as he cries, feeling safe to do so under the cover of the night. You silently cry with him. Then you change his bandages again. It goes on an on for a full week like a never ending circle of nightmares.
Something new happens on the seventh night.
It’s the first night Izuku can’t make himself to leave.
It all starts as per usual, with Izuku sneaking under your covers, peppering kisses on your nape and your neck, the touch so light it barely touches your skin yet it still sends thrills down your spine. Then starts the muttering, half-sentences mumbled into your your skin then comes the wetness, Izuku’s tears as he mumbles louder, unable to whisper, choking on his sobs but he does not stop peppering kisses all over your neck.
Then… it happens.
Izuku’s “healthy” arm snakes around your hip, his thumb playing with your hipbone, his body slowly shifting closer and closer until he’s flush against your back.
“I love your body shape so much. Have I ever told you that? Probably not. I love how I can just… do this.” He moves up, his hand finding the small of your waist, relishing in the softness, grabbing into the skin possessively and you can’t help but whimper.
Here goes nothing. Now Izuku knows you are up. This is when he usually leaves. Will he just stand up and go away now? You really don’t want him to. Would it be too much to hold his hand in place? You have no idea what to do, how to make your point across without scaring him away, but…
“I wanted to do this so much a week ago, when…” Izuku chokes on another sob.
“I would’ve liked it. A lot.” You admit, finally feeling brave enough to speak up.
Warning: suggestive. A tiny bit of… frottage? Is that the word? I dunno. It’s literally 5 seconds though.
“I also wanted to do this…” He whispers, his voice cracking; suddenly, he tries to move on top of you but he has nothing to lean on; he makes a frustrated noise which breaks your heart. With all the strength you can gather half asleep, you try to keep him up long enough so he can put his working hand on the other side of you, then you keep your palm flat on his chest, keeping him up with shaking arms. Izuku moves to his favorite place right away, face hidden in the crook of neck and his tongue pokes out to lick your collarbone only a few seconds after, tiny whimpers leaving your lips as he finally finds his balance and dips down, grinding between your legs a few times before he breaks down, his body falling into you without a warning.
“It was so perfect back then… you are so perfect, yet…”
There is no way any words can get into the man’s thick skull so instead of words you decide to speak with your body; it’s a little bit hard to breathe with his whole weight on you but that’s the least of your concern as you pull Izuku up by his chin and kiss him with so much fervor it takes him several seconds before he can even react.
After not being able to kiss him for so long you can’t help but devour the shaking man on top of you, your hips arching from the bed to be as close to him as humanly possible, all the love, all the adoration, all the lust loud and clear as you kiss him deeply, tongue massaging his own while Izuku whines frustratedly, probably from the fact that he can’t touch you and keep himself up at the same time. You try to soothe his troubled soul by caressing his side and his back with your one free hand, wandering around the areas where Izuku isn’t bandaged up.
It goes on for several minutes until both of you need a breather; Izuku looks at you with deep, dark eyes, the bags even darker under it, panting and tired but after 7 days of acting like a shadow of himself, finally, there is a glint of emotion on his eyes, an emotion other than sadness, a little half-happy shine that makes your heart leap out of your chest as you stare into them with the same intensity. There are no words strong enough to describe what you are feeling right now and by the look of it, Izuku feels the same; without a word, he slowly rolls off you, ending up on your side of the bed as he let’s out a big sigh and pulls you closer, his face hidden in his favorite spot. He takes a deep breath and lets himself relax for the first time this week, mumbling “I love you” as the sleep takes him almost right away.
“I love you too, Izu-Izu.” You mumble into his hair, your fingers buried into his messy curls as you follow him to the land of dreams.
~•🥦•~
It’s 10AM and Izuku is still fast asleep next to you. For the first time this week, your tears are happy tears. You decide to let him sleep in for longer, clearly, he needs it; there’s a week worth of insomnia he have to sleep off, a week worth of tears, a week worth of stress. You leave a kiss on Izuku’s curls, making the man scrunch his brows adorably then you leave the warmth of the bed to make some breakfast.
You decide on omurice. It’s filling and tasty and you can also make cute little All Might drawings on the top of the rice which will for sure make Izuku’s day a tiny bit brighter!
The clock hits 12 when you hear rustling from your bed so you start to make some eggs to finish the dish. Izuku opens the door but instead of coming to the kitchen he disappears in his room. You can’t help but sigh.
Are we doing this again? You were 100% sure this is over. Maybe you were too naive.
“Izu?” You try to knock on his door but there is no answer; hell, there isn’t even a movement in the room, no signs of a person being inside which makes you so worried you break your own promise to not bother your boyfriend until he’s ready to talk.
When you open the door, the room is empty.
Don’t freak out. - You tell yourself as you look around the surprisingly messy room just to find an opened notebook on Izuku’s desk.
Diary chapter 243
I want to see you. I really do. But my mind is a mess and I can’t stop hating myself for being so reckless when I promised you I’ll come back to you unharmed. I can’t help but hate myself for trying to make everything perfect, despite the fact that deep inside, I know that whatever I do, if you are a part of it it can’t be anything but that.
I hate myself because I promised you I’ll take care of myself but I still don’t. My eyes hurt, I’m tired and I can’t feel my fingers but I can’t help but move those books around, ruin the order until it makes sense again, open the door to another world and loose myself in the tiny details as I’m trying to decipher words and sentences I’m not supposed to read nor understand right now, in my weak state. I’m nothing but a shell but I still can’t give up, I can’t stop helping, even if my actions do nothing good to my body and they make everyone around me mad. It’s extremely selfish, really.
The world won’t crumble if I rest, but my own world will if I loose you.
Maybe… it’s time for me to let my friends take over. Maybe, I do deserve a bit of rest.
Maybe, after a few weeks of atonement, I’ll feel like I deserve you too.
I’ll keep my books in order from tomorrow. I promise.
“Move the books around? Keep them in order? What?” You mumble to yourself as you make your way to Midoriya’s bookshelf to take a peek.
“Y-you can sleep in my room, Sweet Pea. You… can. Just don’t touch the bookshelf in the middle. Please. I beg you.” You remember Izuku’s words from a few months ago; needless to say, you make your way towards the forbidden shelf, because at this point, you can’t give a single flying fuck. Izuku will understand.
Izuku’s collection of All Might books are uncomfortably out of order. It starts with the third volume, then it’s just a mess of random numbers. You have a slight urge to clean that up but you take a deep breath instead and start to think. There must be some kind of logic behind it. There is a reason why Izuku left his diary open today, there is a reason why it was so obviously left on the desk. When Izuku wants to keep secrets, he’s more than capable to take them with him to the grave. It took him months to tell you the truth about his quirk and he still managed to keep All Might’s secret safe until the man himself decided to tell you the rest of the story.
He wants you to find him. This is the last challenge.
You stare at the numbers for several minutes, trying to make a connection, to find some logic behind it but honestly, it just looks like a mess.
Maybe… it’s not the whole shelf you need to make sense of.
Oh.
There are 7 volumes next to each other in the middle, if you look at the numbers, they make out All Might’s birthday.
That’s it.
That’s the key to whatever Izuku wants you to find.
When you push the first book in, something clicks, so you decide to push them all in, in order. Suddenly, the whole shelf moves backwards and disappears behind the one next to it.
Your heart leaps out of your chest as you take a look inside.
There is a staircase running down to a creepy, barely lit hallway. You take a deep breath and make your way down just to find a single All Might themed note on the floor.
“Don’t freak out.”
Just as you read the note the “door” behind you closes itself and you can hear the books moving back to their original place with 7 little clicks.
Oh, boy.
Another deep breath. You can do this. You just need to find… a door? A fucking chamber? A pot of gold? Is it guarded by a basilisk? Do you need to play chess with your own life on the line? Wait, that’s two different movies.
Thankfully, there are no booby traps around here so you just keep walking, straight for a while then turn right then left then up the stairs again then there is a small door in front of you with a little panel, probably an electric lock next to it that opens with a set of numbers. There is another post it.
“Another date of birth, I know, it’s silly. Hint: The person I love the most.”
Well, shit. You have no idea when Izuku’s mother was born. You’ll die in this hallway. You try Katsuki’s; it doesn’t work. Fuck. It’s definitely not All Might’s because he already used that. As a last resort, you try yours; and for your surprise, the door clicks and opens by itself.
“You found me.” Izuku looks at you with teary eyes, fumbling with a bunch of paper he has thrown around the desk in the side of the room.
This room… is absolutely mental.
Think about that meme with the conspiracy theory guy but ten times worse.
“Holy mother of shit, Izuku, what the actual fuck is this room?!”
Izuku gives you an adorable giggle at that. You have a really strong urge to call the mental hospital on him or on yourself for enjoying this.
“If you tell anyone… I’ll need to kill you.” Izuku mutters with a blush on his face. “And I really don’t want to kill you so please don’t tell anyone. Actually, I wouldn’t kill you, I wouldn’t be able to kill another human being even if I tried and I can definitely not hurt you as you are important to me and you also take care of my place.. so…”
You can’t help but laugh. He’s so fucking adorable, goddamnit!
“Work on your threatening method a bit in the future will ya?”
Izuku gives you the fondest look you’ve ever seen on his face. Oh how much you love this man, it’s actually ridiculous.
“I really should.”
…Next Chapter!

Potato ramble:
- haha funny story so i completely forgot that Izuku is supposed to have an office And the secret room is supposed to open from there and not his room but I already had hints in the story about it being around Izuku’s room so I had to… well… improvise. 😂
- Izuku was able to stop using the wheel chair in three days so he was able to get down on the stairs without a problem, in case you wondered. He’s been writing his diary in the fist three days then he went into his secret room to continue with his conspiracy theories. There will be more info about this room and about his work in the next chapter.

So, we have a few Anyone time travel fics. But this is what I'd kill for: while on a job Shouto is hit by a quirk. Next thing he knows he's back at his father's place, except things seem different. That's when he sees himself in the mirror, he time travelled. Now Shouto is stuck as a chubby-cheeked toddler who wants to keep his big brother around, stop his mom from having a mental breakdown and convince his dad to send him to a public school so that he can befriend his future platonic soulmate
Oh, this has the potential to be absolutely hilarious.
Shouto is very aware of what's waiting for him. His brother almost dying and running away. His mother's break down. Endeavor being Endeavor. He will have to wait ten years before being happy again and let's be honest, he isn't waiting that long.
Fortunately, he has read enough manhwa with time travel to know what to do. His first target is Touya, who still hates him at the time but who isn’t crispy yet. Shouto follows him around, proclaiming that he adores his brother. Touya hates it at first but Shouto is very adorable and slowly wins him over.
Natsuo and Fuyumi are very jealous that Touya is Shouto’s favorite. Shouto doesn’t care. Shouto can now play football with his siblings and have semi normal bonds with them.
One of the early storylines would be Endeavor suddenly having to deal with his small child flat out not caring about him anymore/actively disliking him. (Remember that this is pre training.) This feels extremely weird since their parents are everything to children and he slowly grows desperate because Shouto apparently hates him? Out of the blue? Rei, who has stopped watching her kids swith eagle eyes in fear of what her children could do to each other, is happy that they finally get along, points out that he isn’t passing enough time with the kids. Endeavor has a realization and tries to be a better dad. (The results are varied.)
Endeavor: “I have decided to take some vacations to spend more time with my lovely family!“
Touya: “Really? It’s the first time you-”
Shouto: “No one asked you.”
Endeavor: T_T
Baby Shouto keeps following Touya around with a fire extinguisher that is bigger than him. Just in case.
When Shouto is five, All Might disappears from the radar for a couple of months, right after an island was vaporized. Shouto realizes that the AFO and All Might fight happened and that Izuku is now dadless and about to become destitute. He informs his dad that he is moving elementary school. More precisely, that he is going to transfer to a very sub par elementary school that isn’t even in the same town he lives.
Endeavor: “How about no?”
Shouto: “I wasn’t asking.”
To summarize, Shouto might have run away from his perfectly good elementary school and reappeared in Izuku and Katsuki’s elementary school. The number 2 hero in person comes and retrieves his toddler.
Sadly, Izuku wasn’t here that day because he was so sad that his dad hadn’t even called for his birthday that he stayed home.
After several similar incidents, Endeavor and Rei force Shouto to tell him what is going on.
Baby Shouto, grabbing baby Izuku by the shoulder: “This is my best friend, Izuku. If I am not in the same school as him, I will cry.”
Izuku: “I don’t know this boy. His eyes scare me.”
Shouto: “I have unlimited budget for All Might merch that I am willing to share with my friends.”
Izuku: “...”
Izuku: “Ah yes, Shouto, my best friend. I add that I will also cry if he doesn’t get what he wants and yes, this is a flooding threat.”
Shouto becomes Izuku’s best friend/fierce protector, which makes things fun for Bakugou. Izuku is not bullied. (Shouto was called to the principal’s office several times but Bakugo < the son of the number 2. Izuku and Shouto probably transfers when they reach middle school. Inko still goes abroad to work and the Todorokis offer to take Izuku in but Izuku is fiercely independent, so they just keep an eye on him.
Years pass but no trace of Anyone appears.
Shouto realizes that Anyone was created because Izuku needed support and now that he has Shouto, it’s not needed anymore. At first, he doesn’t know how to feel about it. It feels like he deprived Izuku of a part of himself.
But in the end, if it means his best friend didn’t have to go through all that hardship, it’s worth it.
The very next day, Izuku appears with a broken arm and a toddler, admitting that he might have hidden from Shouto his slightly illegal organization and his plan to steal All Might’s quirk so he wouldn’t be implicated. But everything went to hell. Now, he needs help.
Shouto is delighted.
And will have his revenge on Izuku not making him part of the quirk heist operation.

My head cannons about All for Inko
I always hear how AFO has Inko in a gilded cage, how he's possessive and controlling and how horrified Inko would be at the revelation. And I always liked the idea that those feelings are mutual between them. Maybe not the possessiveness, but the fear of abandonment, especially if the Inko Shimura theory is true.
Imagine Inko living her entire life in the system, not really knowing the love of her parents or even the love of regular adults. What if she never got adopted, taking into consideration the fact that the society we're given in MHA is one driven by quirks, the stronger the quirk the more desirable/respected the individual (looking at Bakugou getting away with verbal and physical abuse for nearly a decade without any backlash.) It's possible she wasn't adopted as a result of her weak quirk factor (you can kinda think of it as a measure of success, as utterly messed up as it sounds, it's possible that people wanted the kids with the strongest quirks first because of their potential for making billions as a hero later in life. Again, super messed up, but a thought coming from what we've seen throughout the manga.) A result of prejudice that ended with Inko never really feeling paternal love, or a consistent source of it.
What if AFO didn't fall in love with Inko just because she was kind, gentle, and loving. What if she was not only a supply of what he yearned for but also a mirror, someone he could actually relate to. Someone who had to look out for themselves their whole lives.
And if so, how would that potentially alter her perception of her own life. What if she knows she's in a gilded cage but him being her first real source of love (no matter how ugly or twisted,) keeps her there.
What if all I said about her backstory is true, it's not just AFO using her as his source of the unconditional love he never received, but it's completely mutual.
Now, I get it, he's a horrible husband, he's never depicted actually being there for either of them aside from a monetary provider. But this is the best part. She loves him, many people can't forget their first love and many others consistently make excuses for the actions or inaction of those they love. It's something you need to remember, you can throw a stranger behind bars, but it becomes incredibly complicated when that person matters to you.
He provides money, maybe the odd gift or letter, hell maybe even a phone call, and she tricks herself into believing he's still there.
She knows she's in a gilded cage, and logically she knows her husband is terrible, but leaving him or confronting the issue entirely would shine a light on her greatest fear, being abandoned again. Tricking herself into thinking that he's just busy and that's why he didn't even send a text when their son was in TWO WARS THAT RECIEVED GLOBAL ATTENTION.
AFO is afraid of being abandoned which would lead me to believe he isolated her on purpose, putting her into this gilded cage so she'd forever be taken care of by him and adored from a safe distance (kinda like Yoichi,) and she stays, tricking herself into believing that she isn't practically a single mother, out of fear of recognizing her own abandonment by the hands of a loved one.
Now what if she knew of his criminal history? It's easy to believe that she'd try to leave. And that's plausible. But I find it much more interesting it she didn't, for the first reason, he's the first man to show her kindness.
He's her husband, who probably bought her gifts, was a big quirk nerd who reads comics, was good with children, charming, handsome, and definitely the type to be kind (even though it's all so he can manipulate you later of course.) And that's not something I think she would find easy to forget. She would 100% set boundaries with him regarding Izuku and their life together. But I just find it interesting is all. Their love would be incredibly toxic and codependent and definitely obsessive.
And I would be lying if I said I didn't eat that crap up. :)

Something gave way in Toshinori's heart. Something he hadn't realized had been bound up all this time. Since he'd known Izuku? Maybe. No...maybe farther back?
white and navy and maroon
her gray eyes dancing
her proud smile
An overwhelming feeling now, almost more than he could bear. It hurt...oh how it hurt. But the hurt ached in a good relieving way.
In the deepest parts of his heart, beneath many thick and protective layers, he had called her mother. Considered her so. Wished her to be.
And now he knew he wanted the same here. To call the boy his son.
How presumptuous of you. He still has his parents.
Well and she had had her own son.
And you saw how that turned out.
He didn't want to replace Inko or Midoriya-san, wherever he might be (and it could be forgiven if a dark corner of his mind, hidden even from him, hissed nastily at the absentee father, of someone having such a gift as Izuku and squandering away his rights on purpose). He just wanted
...I want my family.
He hoped he wasn't hugging his boy too hard
I want MY family.
the ache running through him
please
I don't want to lose him too

“Shut the fuck up,” Izuku says, ignoring Neito choke at him swearing. “Neito doesn’t have to take shit from some defeatist pessimist who’s judgment All Might doesn’t even trust anymore.”
Nighteye gapes at him, clearly not expecting him to say that.
Izuku then decides to take advantage of something he never does.
He suspects it says a lot about him he never did while at Aldera.
“My mother is Midoriya Inko, one of the senior partners at Akimichi, Nara, and Yamanaka. My father is Midoriya Hisashi, CEO and owner of the Dumas Corporation. If you do not stop being a dick to me and Neito, I am going to get both involved.”
Nighteye blanches, and it strikes Izuku then that there’s a good chance for all the research the man had probably done on him, the actual threat of his parents, the reality of dealing with them, is probably very different then the abstract idea of them on a piece of paper.
“You are going to teach us about investigative work and how it relates to heroics,” Neito says. “And you are going to knock this shit off. Because I also have no issue with getting my father involved.” Neito smirks, and there’s a very mocking undertone to it. “You know, Alec Sarte of the European Heroics Centre, whose name is very, very much on my files?”
By the way Nighteye further blanches, Izuku suspects he hadn’t been aware of that fact about Neito. Most he’d…actually Izuku isn’t entirely sure why the man would offer Neito a spot now if he didn’t do a proper background check, something that would immediately reveal that. Was he thinking that if he offered Neito the spot it would increase the likelihood he’d take it?
…Probably.
“So you are going to knock your shit off, and actually teach without having a fucked up, manipulative ulterior motive, or else.”

AFO is Hisashi Midoriya
This is my contribution to the Dad-For-One theory, otherwise known as AFO is Hisashi Midoriya.
There are already plenty of indications and other theories out there to this particular idea, but I have never seen this specific one so I might as well share.
Disclaimer: this might have some manga spoilers, so be warmed!
First and foremost, what do we know about Hisashi Midoriya?
He is married to Inko Midoriya.
He works overseas.
He has a fire breathing quirk.
He is never seen in the backstory, neither the manga or anime.
Just from that we can already make some conclusions. I think some of them have already been floating around so I will make this short.
He could have taken her name in marriage. It would make sense if it was her family name, since Midori means green and Inko does have green hair.
An evil overlord most certainly makes enough money to send home. The cover of working overseas also means he doesn't need to be home and keep up the façade.
I believe it has been mentioned in manga and in the anime that emitter, more specifically fire quirks are the most common ones. So basically, nobody would call it either weak or strong if you are not Endeavour or Dabi. It would also be fairly easy to acquire a quirk like that for someone like AFO
We have no idea what Hisashi Midoriya looks like. Which is uncommon for parents in MHA. We have seen plenty of parents from different students, villains and even teachers in the vigilante spin off. One would think that the father of the main character is kind of important, or if he isn't (as we are led to believe) we would get at least a face. The fact that it is taking so long is certainly suspicious.
Now let's look at what we know about AFO.
He lost a big fight against All Might when Izuku was just a small child, before he received his diagnosis that he was Quirkless.
He is inherently possessive, narcissistic and egoistical.
He does not care for others only for the best way to gain power.
He has only one known weakness to his quirk. Said weakness is, he has to touch someone to steal their quirk.
Let's keep that in mind while we take a look at other facts. What do we know about the Midoriya family?
Izuku Midoriyawas born Quirkless.
He was diagnosed by the same doctor who later made the Nomus.
They are not rich, nor do they have any connections.
Inko Midoriya has a minor attraction quirk.
At first glance this might not mean a lot but in the frame of this theory both of these things shine in a different light.
AFO was born at the dawn of quirks. A time where it wasn't uncommon for someone to be born without a quirk. It wouldn't be far-fetched for him to have a Quirkless child.
If Izuku was indeed his son, it would make sense for him to monitor his development even after the fight against All Might. He must already be working together with the doctor because it was, he who healed AFO from his severe injuries.
What would AFO gain from marrying someone with a weak quirk and without any notable connection?
If AfO had a child with Inko Midoriya there is a possibility that this child could have a quirk which allowed them to pull quirks to them. This would solve AFO one weakness. In return all he would have to do is fly under the radar and pretend to be a good, if absent husband.
Alright this was a lot of speculation. So, let's take a look at Canon again to see if my main claim would make sense for the story.
The main example would be the Todoroki family. Endeavour demonstrates quirk marriage isn't a thing of the past. Which means we have a canon case of this happening.
The most glaring problem in this theory might be that AFO does not really look like Izuku. Then again Izuku does look a lot like his mother except for his hair texture and the freckles. At this point we have seen a younger AFO and still there are no glaring similarities. This might be because AFO wears his hair rather short in all his life stages compared to Izuku. We have also seen AFO mother who had no similarities to Izuku either.
For the time being AFO is kind of dead so he won't be the one confirming this theory. Izuku has seen him before and not mentioned anything. The only one left to say anything is Inko Midoriya.
Horikoshi did mention that there would be a Hizashi Midoriya reveal at some point. So, all we can do is wait and speculate.
Thanks for reading my random thoughts!

AU where Midoriya has a mind control Quirk
Again, leaving me so many loopholes to play with...
1- Midoriya Hisashi never had a fire breathing quirk. What he had was a mind control quirk that let him manipulate what people remembered or thought. So begins a very bad relationship for Inko, who definitely remembers her husband has a fire breathing quirk. Unfortunately, she can't even think about leaving him.
2- Hisashi realized that Izuku if didn't inherit his mother's quirk, it was very likely he'd inherit his, which... Would not be good for him. So he made sure Inko and Izuku remembered an appointment and that Izuku was quirkless.
3- "won't this be a problem if izuku has a mental quirk too"- yeah and he does. Since he's not using it actively, Izuku's effect on people is kinda... Subtle, undirected, and subconscious. Everyone in Izuku's class wants to be a hero, every year, when in the rest of the school, every other class only has about half the kids who aspire to heroism, and only a third who do so seriously. No one in their class stands up to Bakugo, even though plenty of them are annoyed because they don't like him and don't feel nearly as intimidated by him when they're out of school.
4- Izuku's quirk even effects Hisashi- izuku sees him as a deadbeat who's one redeeming quality is sending money every month, and so that's what sticks long after he has any of his own desire to play with those relationships
5- "hey so will OfA uh, make problems with that?" Yeah so Toshinori is unaffected by the quirk for the same reason they're protected from brainwashing,,, but,,, once he has OfA suddenly Izuku's thoughts are far more influential than before, and finally people start to notice the change.
