G1 SG au: Some concepts for the Autobot symbol.

It'd always be black and always have a dark red badge or flag in the background. I considered white or silver piping, but i couldn't get cool, clean lines out of nowhere in Paint.Net. I crudely modified the G2 symbol to make the round edges sharp in attempt to make it look more evil, but i'm not sure if it came out actually symmetrical.

The Bayverse symbol looks suitably angry, but idk what that means. Whose the fuck's face is that. Meanwhile the G2 symbol actually looks like Optimus' face, which is why i'm considering it.

Tbh? I feel like the sharpened g2 insignia is the way to go. I can't visually tell if it's symmetrical or not, so I'm gonna go about and say it is.

It's both A. Based on Optimus and B. I think it looks better in black than the bayverse autobot insignia

Por fin mi Paisaje de Aprendizaje Digitalizado

Ya llegamos al final del curso, nos toca ensamblar todas las piezas que hemos ido elaborando a lo largo de estas semanas de intenso curso.

He de decir que esta parte, es la que menos me ha costado pero la que más tiempo me ha llevado. Creo que la selección de tareas en el resto de los paisajes, me han servido para tener bien estructuradas las tareas.

La narrativa que he elegido ha sido la del libro el monstruo azul, me encanta ese libro. Sin embargo no he podido desarrollar la temática como a mi me hubiera gustado por falta de tiempo.

En esta imágen reflejo el objetivo final del curso y lo que se va consiguiendo al realizar los diferentes retos. Este apartado considero que podría mejorarlo bastante más, desarrollando mejor el sistema de puntos en los que se basa. Espero que lo que he seleccionado sea suficiente para entender la mecánica.

Como reflejé en un post anterior, el tema de las insignias me parece muy abstracto y quería cerrarlo bastante en mi paisaje. Creo que es porque yo no he sido una persona que jugara mucho a juegos de tipo electrónico. Nunca es tarde para empezar.

Este es uno de los retos que tendrían que hacer los alumnos, me ha encantado hacerlo porque quería aprender a arrastrar objetos en Genial.ly.

Y por último están las rúbricas, que considero indispensables para evaluar el desempeño en los retos y de forma global en todo el paisaje. Esto sería un esbozo ya que en infantil es una herramienta a desarrollar.

A lo largo de esta fase he podido conocer las herramientas digitales propuestas pero muchas otras más, de las que destaco: Clipping Magic para editar imágenes, y freepick como banco de imágenes. Han sido todo un descubrimiento y me han servido muchísimo para desarrollar la digitalización del paisaje.

Espero que os guste porque he disfrutado muchísimo de esta parte del curso.

The thing that gets me about Harry's disco throwback clothing is that, in the game setting, disco wasn't that long ago. The game is set in '51 and disco was a late 20s-30's phenomenon. Him walking around in flared pants and a green crocodile skin shoes seems quirky to us, the audience, but in the context of the game he's wearing the worst fashion from 25 years ago. Imagine having to talk to the cops and the detective interviewing you is dressed like this:

is there a particular reason lore-wise that the crystal gems’ insignia is a rose instead of a star, or did you just want to redesign them?

It's both! I wanted to make the AU designs distinct, for one, but there is also an in-story reason for it.

The reason is:

Until Rose turns into Steven, none of the main Crystal Gems actually use the star on their forms.

Look at the gems in flashback episodes:

In fact, not even Pearl has it during the Rebellion:

The star is Steven's symbol. I was Rose's symbol, and it was Greg's, and Steven is their child. But the original Rebellion flag didn't have a star: It had Rose's shield and a little stylized Rose.

In fact, the only person who sports the star aside from Rose is.... Bismuth. She has the star tattoo even before she knows that Rose is gone, so presumably she also wore it during the war.

So my personal belief is that the star isn't all-encompassing of the rebellion, it's a symbol of Rose - and then of Steven.

But since here, Rose is still with them, Rose gets to keep her star, and share it with Greg. Meanwhile, the Crystal Gems rally behind Rose, and wear the symbol of the Rebellion as a symbol to (what they initially think is) White Diamond showing up on their home turf.

Granted, now they know Steven is chill. But it's a fun little visual distinction for me to keep in there.

little detail i think is cute, since i like character design and minor stuff like this, the original autobot/decepticon insignias were designed off of prowl/soundwave respectively. you can definitely tell in soundwaves design from prime his head is based on it:

the big "ears", center forehead piece, parts of his cheeks to appear like the eyes, chin parts, etc. now, since prowl isnt in the show, you may wonder whos based off the autobots insignia then? well, lovely when you remember how long optimus has known him:
