she thinks it's a great idea to pull the other woman up and kiss her like they're lovers. she thinks it's a great idea when marie's lips part open in surprise to slide her tongue into her mouth and pull her up against the table, forcing herself between her legs, her hands grabbing hold of her thighs. she breaks the kiss when she's panting, the taste of marie's lips making her heart beat faster. she wants to ravish this woman, to suck her clit until she's screaming her name.

House clinks his glass against hers, savoring the first sip.

There are only a few things he knows about her: Her name’s Jessica, she’s a complete stranger, and she knows how to handle her liquor. At 11 p.m. on a Wednesday in an increasingly deserted bar, that’s all he needs to know.

Soon, the musician at the piano ends his shift, leaving it “open” for business (not officially, but the bartender didn’t seem to care), and on his second glass of whiskey, House works up the courage to limp over to it, taking the pianist’s place.

From across the bar, House catches the attention of the woman he’s shared the night with.

the evidence all but screamed mafia ties —undeniable in its weight, yet helena held back, careful not to let assumption overshadow discovery. after all, this was jessica’s arena, and even a sharp-tongued italian with a taste for risk knew better than to trample on sacred ground. the last thing anyone with a survival instinct would do was piss off jessica jones. “how the hell did you get this good at reading a scene?” helena muttered, the words half admiration, half disbelief. “i mean, i like to think i’ve got a nose for hidden truths, but you—” she gave a low, incredulous whistle, the corners of her mouth quirking upward “you’re in a league of your own.” she dropped to a knee, fingers brushing the earth like it might whisper secrets if she listened close enough. pinching a bit of soil between her fingertips, she rubbed it gently, eyes narrowing. “these tracks are fresh,” she murmured. “they haven’t gotten far.”

Noah was quite possibly the only vampire to have ever suffered from withdrawals so severe he needed help standing. He almost laughed, despite it being humourless, finding himself truly pathetic. Still, he was surprised by Jessica’s strength, so much so that his eyes widened, muttering a small “fucking hell” under his breath. Impressive. He began to trudge behind her, grateful that her place wasn’t too far away. 

“Uh… not really. A couple of weeks.” He couldn’t recall the exact date, the time seemed to have blurred together. Considering he hadn’t been clean when he first found the rebels, it made sense that his memory wasn’t precise. “Have you?” The more he spoke, the more he noticed the burn in his throat. He trusted himself not to hurt anyone, as he’d never hurt anybody who didn’t deserve it, but he couldn’t ignore the way his mouth watered when Jessica’s scent hit his nose. Shaking his head, he forced himself to focus on the pain in his legs, and his own weight baring down on them. Getting clean sucked. 

“Jesus,” she commented, watching him struggle to his feet. “You sure about that?” Jess winced as he did, feeling uncomfortable seeing his discomfort, as if she could feel it herself. Unable to deal with the slowness or the agony any longer, she moved to his side, taking his arm with both her hands. 

With a tight grip, she held him up with ease, steadying him entirely. “My place is just over there,” she nodded toward it before starting to move, stepping in tandem with him.

“I’m Jessica. Jones.” The name Noah tugged at her memory, so she put it on the backburner as they walked, trying to work out why she knew his face. “You, uh… been here long?” Perhaps he’d heard of Trish.

Welcome to the Holmwood Foundation

The Holmwood Foundation is a Found Footage Horror-Fiction Podcast created by Fio Trethewey @fiotrethewey (Big Finish: Gallifrey War Room, 18th Wall Productions) and Georgia Cook @georgiacooked (Big Finish: The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles, Gallifrey War Room, BBC Books, The Dracula Daily Sketch Collection). It is a modern day sequel to the gothic novel Dracula. 

What is the Holmwood Foundation about?

Our story follows Jeremy Larkin (Played by Sean Carlsen) and Maddie Townsend (Played by Rebecca Root), two co-workers at the mysterious Holmwood Foundation, as they are possessed by the ghosts of Jonathan and Mina Harker, and embark on a road trip across the country in an effort to achieve their ghost's wishes: to stop Dracula once and for all. This is a story about identity and self discovery, family loyalty and devotion, all wrapped around a nightmare of a road trip with a rejuvenating severed head, incredibly sincere Victorian ghosts, and an analogue recorder. (Content Warnings for blood, horror themes and possession)

As she’d already began leaving, he decided not to bite back with his own quip, despite how difficult that was for him. “And have a good rest of yours.” Not being able to resist, he shouted out as she walked away, “I’m twenty-two! Actually…”

Jessica squinted at him, down at the presumably bullshit book he’d been reading, then back up at him. “Right. You sure look it.” God, people really were the worst. Jess nearly questioned the “mom” comment, considering he'd only said best friend, but figured she shouldn’t give a shit. Thankfully, he'd kept talking. “And you’re.. sixteen, right?” She was joking, but she asked it with a tone of distaste. He really was playing ‘20 Questions’ with her.

“Okay then,” she sighed with a near roll of her eyes. “Scott, got it. I hope you’re right.” She certainly didn’t trust the young man, but she was genuinely hoping his loyalty to his maybe-brother meant something to him. But if not, she had no hesitation in kicking his ass. Jess got to her feet. “That’s hope for both our sake’s, by the way. ‘Cause if you just fed me some shit, I have no worries feeding you that book right there.” She started to head to the infirmary, remarking over her shoulder. “Have a good rest of your unhelpful day.”

Hello! Time for another blog post! I think my last one was two months ago and a lot has happened since 😊

We have been attending a ton of historical recreation events so I still have many photos to share, hope you don't hate those! It's been really fun! We are exhausted and all out of social battery however so we are taking it easy this month. Another thing that's been happening a lot is that even when we are not dressed in historical clothing we keep getting stopped by strangers on the street because of our everyday outfits, it's been like that for a couple of years now so we are no longer startled or nervous about it but it's happening more and more often now and it's so nice! we always end up chatting about the events we go to and our jobs and hobbies and exchanging contacts or they ask for photos and stuff! people are really kind and excited about it and I still find it so surprising in the best way. We grew up in a very hostile city and environment and that makes you paranoid and cynical so these interactions and response has been healing really. I know their words will stick with us for years to come 😭 Sadly the unbearable heat is starting though so that means our outings for the next three months will be limited to the crack of dawn and after sunset 😞 but at least the summer brings a lot of fruit with it so we can sit at home and eat pineapples and strawberries while we wait for autumn.

My family came to visit a few months ago too and we made them watch most of Doctor Who's season one to four and some of our favourite episodes from all the other seasons lmao. And much to our delight they really enjoyed it!! They both loved Ten the most and my step dad is now in love with Martha 🥰

We have also been watching the current season and it's been so fun keeping up with fandom theories in real time and talking about it and speculating with friends in person, it's the first time we get a chance to do it since we got into the series and we are enjoying it a lot!

We also watched season one of Jessica Jones and we loved David's performance as Kilgrave!! He stole the show for real. Kilgrave is such an incredible villain, one of the best I've seen and DT does such an amazing job portraying every aspect of him. He's detestable and volatile and frighteningly powerful and has such an intimidating terrifying presence in the narrative while also being pathetic and vulnerable and ridiculous and childish and so human with all it's worrying implications. It was just so gripping and I wish he had stayed for the rest of the show honestly!! Now we have to pick our next David Tennant series to watch! 😊

Also!! Dragon Age is back!! AHHH I wanted to thank everyone that commented on my last DA pieces, it has made my month to read the comments, I didn't expect so many people to remember my art or my character after so many years and it's so touching and flattering you have no idea 😭💘 I look forward to making more and sharing them with you all, I'm truly grateful for the kindness you've shown me both back then and now I hope you know.

I feel so spoiled lately with all these franchises that I love releasing new content!! I've never been in these many fandoms at once!! I have so many ideas to draw and keep jumping back and forth between drawings from different shows and games AAAAA it's a good and welcome change honestly, keeps me busy and inspired!

Anyway that's all for now I think! I hope you are doing well and this summer/winter is kind to you all ❤️

Tyler paused in his surprise, both of his eyebrows raised. She didn't smell supernatural, not by typical association anyway, so her strength had certainly caught him off guard. Either she was enhanced in a different way, or held a record for weightlifting. Tyler quickly decided he didn't care. "Whatever. Makes my day easier." He raised a single hand in mock surrender, before gesturing for her to continue.

Jess could hardly refrain from scoffing at his comment. The only reason she was volunteering was to get possible intel on Trish, and now she had to deal with douchebags. Without answering, she went straight for the heaviest furniture, lifting the cupboard with ease. “I’ll be doing the heavy lifting, and you’ll be shutting the hell up.”

No shades towards Nico as she seems like a fun character who I'll adore, but if Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman wanted to give Peter a snarky female friend, they could have used Jessica Jones instead. Unlike Nico, Peter actually have a connection to Jessica since they went to the same school together in the main continuity and interacted multiple times in the comics. Heck, the show could could have even drawn inspiration from Ultimate Spider-Man in which Jessica ran the school paper with her even trying to figure out Spider-Man identity.
