DESCRIPTION: You're a new student at your university. You were smart and dedicated to learning. But every uni student gets up to some crazy things, right?

A/N - I have work tomorrow and instead of going to sleep for my day I'm here writing a fan fic. I make very sensible choices.

You take a deep breath. Living on campus was new to you so you were quite nervous to say the least. Going into the dorm rooms you hear people chatting around you. Finding your room number. 16. Opening it with the new key you had. You shut the door behind you. Placing your rucksack down onto the chair in your new room.

You’d not been in education for about a year at this point. Having had a gap year to do some exploring so you had to get back into the mindset of doing if. You rst your head back as the door knocks. SOmeone walks in "Oh hey!" your roommate says. Her bubbly personaltiy being a surprise based on the rudeness of some of the other dorm people that you’d bumped into. "Im Lucky" she comes over to you. Hugging you. You gently pat her back before she moves away. Resting a hand on her hip she eyes you up and down.

Your oversized hoodie and jeans being a contrast to her mini skirt and tight shirt. Both leaving very little to the imagination. You wihs you had the confidence to wear something like that. "Im Luna"

"Oh that is a beautiful name" she says, cuaisng you to smile. SHe hugs you again "I think we're going to be best friends" she says. ALmost squealing as she moves away from the hug. "What is it that you're studying?"

"Art and drama"

"Oh my friend did that last year. I tried but got bored. Everything I do mildly creative ends up looking like a toddler did it” you let out a soft chuckle

“So does mine but that doesn’t mean I don’t try to do it”she laughs “what do you do instead then?”

“I do psychology"

"Thats cool. I was debating doing it but decided against it” a knock at the door stops your conversation as she looks owards it

"come in". she says. SOmeone walks in.

"Lucky do you want to come see my new room?" she nods, looking at you as she stands

"DO you want to come?"

"No Im ok tha k you. Ive got to unpack" she looks at your singular rucksack but nods

"ALright then. See you later" she smiles before walking off. You grab your bag. Taking out your various items. Your diary, book, clothes, etc. SOrting it all out onto your bed before putting it away properly on your side of the room.

Youd moved in on the Saturday. Sunday having a few induction days or various groups you could join. Then Monday being peoples first day at uni. Now it was Sunday. After a night in reading yur book. Your roommate coming in during the early hours of the morning, very drunk. You got up early and explored the grounds. Going over to a stall with various cakes and such on it.

You hear someone letting out a groan beside you. "Hi there Luna"

"Did someone have a good time last night?" you look at Lucky standing next to you. Sunglasses on despite the dark weather. SHe nods. Taking the glasses off as she looks at you. A black eye adorning her face. "Jesus what happened to you?"

"I had a terrible fight. With the floor. ANd lost" you let out a slight chuckle as she picks up one of the cupcakes. The lady at the stall going to speak but she shushes her. Walking off. You grab out a fiver from your purse, placig it down and mouthing 'sorry' to her. Catching up with your new friend. SHe bites down into the cake, a moan escaping her lips as she speaks with her mouth full "That is a bloody good cake". SHe looks at you, swallowing before talking again "what did you get up to last ngiht?"

"Nothing in particualr. I read my book, had a shower, then went to bed"

"You should come out with me tonight"

"I have classes early tomorrow morning so I really shouldnt"

"Oh come on. Itll be fun!" she grabs your arm "I can introduce you to some of my friends. I think you'll like one of them. Hes handsome and he likes books to. Plus you have similar fashion tastes. Oh lets look over here" SHe drags you over to a stall. Making small talk with the person behind it. You both go round to the rest of the stalls. Meeting a couple of her other friends.

The day going past quckly. You manage to convicne your new friend to stay in the night. Inviting her and two of her other friends rund. You stay up till quite late. Talking about a whole variety of things. Sadly things that didnt overly interest you. Boys you found cute. WHat lipstick shade was the best. Hair products. Although you found the conversation lacking in intellect you enjoyed the girls company so engaged in the talk with them.

You found one of the girls was also doing art. So you agreed to walk to class together. Her name was Hope. Sitting next to her in class, you found she had a lot higher intellegence then you initially thought when yo first met her. ACtually having a decent conversation with her until your professor walked in. Then every brain cell she seemed to have rotted away as she practicly stared at her. A young woman. Probably early thirties. Eyeliner perfect, hair styled in a way that looked both messy yet neat. You chuckle slightly. You were unaware that this new friend of yours swung that way, and this was certainly an interesting and entertaining way to find out.

"Please can you all call me Destiny. I would go about the formality of you using my doctorate name but we are here to make art. Not have a tea party with the queen. So-" she says. "I want everyone to pick up their pens. Pencils. Paints. Paper mache. WHatever you need to make a piece that says 'I am me'. You have the rest of the day. I will be judging them when you all go home to some sort of party Im sure"

You pick grab out your sketch book and pencils. Starting to trace your art piece. Noticing your friend still drooling over your teacher. You nudge her. Cuasing her to fall out of the trance. SHe looks at you. Her face turning a wonderful shade of tomato red.

"How much of that did you get?"

"Soemthing about her being our destiny"

"Ok then" you laugh. Explaing to your love stricken friend what she needs to do.

Once she listened she started her piece, as did you. You did a simple piece of work. A black and white picture of yourself. Behind it a mass of colour. Tryng to show that although you appeared dull on the outside, you had a lot of fun to show to those who got to know you.

Hope links an arm with you as you leave the lecture. "Are you coming to the party tonight?"

"You know that we're here for education right? ANd npt to drink ourselves to death"

"Oh come on"

"Ive got a very good book and a film to watch though"

"You can do that any day"

"I can have a party any day" she rolls her eyes.

"Come for like... an hour. If you dont like it then you can go back to your room"

"Fine..."

"Yay!" she exclaims. "I'll be round to take ypu and Lucky at 9. SPeak of the devil!" Lucky walks up to you both. Linking an arm with you on the other side. "I was just telling Luna about our party tonight"

"Youre coming?"

"I am" she squeals. Hugging you close to her. You gently pack her back. "You can borrow one of my dresses if youd like?"

"Oh no. Im not wearing a dress"

"Yes. Yes you are" you give her an uncomfortable look "At least wear a skirt".

"Skirt but a hoodie. ANd tights"

"Deal" she holds her hand out for you to shake. To which yo do.

If this was a movie. There would be a cheesy dress up montage. WHere the popluar girl takes off your glasses and straitens your hair and your suddenly beautiful. But this isnt a movie, so you settle with them doing their makeup in your room. Playing various pop music on their 'top of the charts' CD. Putting some mascara on your, as well as a deep blue skirt paired with a grey hoodie and black tights.

You get to the partry. You stand awkwardly in the corner. Watching men and woman get more and more drunk. With each drink they seem to strip too. Leaving a lot of half naked people around you.

Lucky stuck by your side for the first hour. Getting herself drinks. She had gone off to get drinks some more 20 minutes ago and hadnt returned. Hope stuck by your side though. Not drinking, joining you in a joint sober. You did start to enjoy yourself. You were planning on going for an hour but ended up staying for 2. Not a long time compafred to most people but for you, it was a lot of time to socialise.

So you bid your friend farewell. Telling her that you were grwing tired and would see her in class the following day. SHe agrees. Seeming happy that you had a good time. Sad to see you go but understood how introverted you are.

You head back to your dorm room. WHen you get there you see a tie firmly tied around the door handle. Now, you werent necersarily the most outgong person you knew. But you did know what that meant. So you turn tail. Annoyed that your friends had managed to convince you to not take your tote bag with you book in. You guess youd check the university library and see if they had anything in there to read.

Thankfully the library was run by book enthusiasts so was open 24/7. You go inside. Smiling at the lady at the desk as she smiles back to you. You idle down the rows of books. Seeing if any screamed out at you. You found one in the fantasy isle. Picking it up you turn it to read the blurb.

"Id recomoend this book instead" a voice says. Making you jump back at the suddeness of a male voice. You thought it was only you and the librarian (who was a female). "Sorry, didnt mean to startle you"

"No. No its fine. I just wasnt expecting anyine else to be here" you say. Now that you were over your initial scare you take a look at the man. Dark hair contrasting his vibrant blue eyes. Glasses sat comfortably on his nose as he wears a blazer over a vest shirt.

"I wasnt expectinh to see anyone else either. Normally its just me here reading up on studies". DUe to his youthful featrues yete his smart attire you couldnt tell if he meant in a professor or a student kind of study. He seemed to be able to tell your confusion as he continues speaking. "I work here". He outsteetches his hand towards you. "Professor Crane". Yiu take his hand.

"Luna. Like the moon. Ironic given that I often suffer from insomnia" he chuckles. "What do you study then professor?"

"Psychology"

"No way. My friend is studying that! Lucky... I dont know her last name"

"Yes. I know Lucky" he smiles. Obviously not overly impressed by the name drop. "WHat do you study then? Assuming you do come here and havnt just decided to sneak into a unis library"

"I stidy art. Not quite the level of psychology but still good fun".

"WHat made you come here rather then go out and party?"

"I was at a party but I decided to go back to my dorm". He looks around the library. "Oh no. There was a tie on my dorm door. I know how promiscous my roommate is so I just decided to leave her to it".

"Ahh. Well, if your wanting something to read whilst you wait then Id recomend this" he turns. Taking out a book from the shelf and handing it to you. You take it from him, turning it over to read the blurb. "Its a very good stroy line with some strong characters"

"Ive read this author before. Hes a good writer". You place it atop the oteer one youre still holding. "Ill add it to the pile"

"What book is that one?" he motions to the one your holding. "I saw you get it from the fantasy section"

"Its part of a series I read. Not read this one rhoufh. Its about an angel who solves crimes. Using his powers to force people to tell the truth"

"Sounds..."

"Utterly insane?"

"I was going to say interesting but yeah, that sums it uo better" he smiles. "I have taken up enough of your time. I imagine that you are wanting to get back to your reading. So I shall leave you to it Miss Luna. I hope you enjoy your books. And I hope tat your roommate lets you back into your dorm at some point tonight"

"If not then Im sure the librarian wont mind me camping out here" you joke. Causing him to let out a laugh. Adjusting his brief case before turning and walking out.

Jeff the Killer x introverted future S/O that lives in a cabin, away from the rest of society

At first, he will watch you out of curiosity. He is highly extroverted so seeing someone that lives in a way that would make him miserable does light his curiosity.

Who are you? Why are you living like that? Are you guilty of crimes that made you an outsider to society, or have you simply pissed off the wrong person?

He will have a lot of questions going through his mind.

Eventually, he will decide to pay you a visit. By that point, he will know a lot about your daily routine. Jeffry has most likely already broken into your house a few times.

Do not leave your windows open, that makes it too easy.

One day he will get bored of hiding.

Out of nowhere, he will burst into your home and invade your personal bubble while having no respect or care for your personal space or your apparent discomfort.

He will demand answers and won’t leave until he gets them.

Expect to be physically intimidated.

He will be rough, mean, nasty and excited.

Though eventually when he figures out that you’re just an ordinary regular human that simply happens to be anti-social, all of his excitement will disappear.

It will be replaced with a lot of confusion.

This will annoy him, and he will leave you alone for a little bit, that is until his thoughts of you start to get to him too much.

It seems that our naughty criminal developed an obsession.

You will find him in your home once again, intimidating and stuck up, but no longer aggressive. Instead, Jeffry will start to try to develop a kind of “friendship” relation with you.

One where he enters your life, chills in your home, eats your food and spends time with you. At the very least Jeffry won’t fully live rent-free, he may not pay you with money but will get things sorted around the house – he will be your personal handyman.

It will be weirdly domestic.

And so incredibly weird.

But it’s not like you can get away. The phone line has been cut off, you can’t ask anyone for help, and even if you move away, he will follow you regardless of where you go. You can move towns, cities and even countries and yet he will always find you. Let’s just say that he has friends with incredible tracking abilities.

While Jeffry is obsessed with you, it will take him a long time to realize that his interest is romantic.

When the realization hits him, his behaviour will start to change. By that point, he has managed to force himself into your life and got you used to his presence in your life. He won’t do anything drastic but will become kinder, much more touchy and start acting in a stereotypically romantic fashion.

His love for you is filled with delusion.

Race: Human(before she was overwritten)

She is the most specific creation executed by XGaster.

Just like Alphys, she is assigned to be an assistant for him, somehow, despite of being his creation, she tends to rebel against his so-called perfectionism secretly, which tends to have herself knowing what will be Chara and Frisk's fate. She's also a being whom XGaster crafted and created to be the first prototype of the X-Event, which means that in the beginning , she and XGaster already shared the same minds and half of a soul.

She has a different version of the OVERWRITE button, one which is unusual, more like distorted and glitched. When XGaster found out that kind of power, he threatens her not to use that in any of his timelines,afraid that his perfect universe might get ruined by his other half.

She is a creature whom doesn't have the ability to feel happiness nor empathy, however she decides to prevent any other thing that will lead her into a situation which might stimulate a consequence.

When the final experiment is activated, which is XChara inside XFrisk's body,XR finally get to move on her own since XGaster doesn't pay attention to her anymore.

Supplimental Character Info:

-XGaster created and released XR on Timeline II(the timeline of so much happiness,where Asgore depicts the timeline), which is the reason she wondered why does XGaster have to ruin the perfect lives of everyone just to establish his so-called "perfect universe", even though she already knew about what will happen in the first place. Since the first timeline(Asriel:Timeline I)is newly overwritten, she just couldn't help to wonder why XGaster have to release her on that second timeline where everyone is so happy, in which he calls" Too Much Happiness", until there's nothing left. It's the reason why she can't feel happiness at all.

- Despite of the inability to feel happiness, she keeps a certain feeling that which she calls"a feeling that warms the heart".

-The color of her soul is indigo(half like XGaster's) ,meanwhile the other half is just an empty soul XGaster stole from a random human so that the creation can fill it up with Determination.

-Whenever she is activated, the other half of her face is covered with black substance showing the X-Event eye and a crooked evil smile.

-She's both introverted and anti-social.

-XR adores the sight of the golden and purple flowers on the fields, which is the reason she likses to stay there all by herself the whole time.

-She doesn't have a specific name for herself. At first, it was just a code in which XGaster decided to prompt out for his creation. She hates that name very much, that's why she liked it whenever someone else gives a nice nickname for her.

-Despite how corrupted XGaster is now, she never failed to acknowledge him as a father, considering him as a father figure for her, except on that time when everything went overboard, she couldn't help but to let him realize his mistakes even if it's already too late. It's just the same on how he sees Chara and Frisk.

-At the 10th timeline, her favorite person is Papyrus.

- She is constantly annoyed by Undyne, although Undyne offered to give her warrior training,but she refused- concluding that she doesn't have the urge to fight at all.

- Ink! Sans is what who she calls "only best friend", claiming that Ink was the first one whom offered to be her friend and is one who always understands her despite of her unpredictable condition.

-XR and Raiscella(my other OC) isn't the same person in a different version. XR is another creation, so is Raiscella. Though they might look similar in the physical attributes, there's a truly great difference between them. But on the other hand, XR knows about Raiscella though. It's just that, she'll hate to know more about her.

-Secretly likes ramen(noodle soup). She used to request it once, and then, she never ate ever again.

-She's much more close to XFrisk, since they both tolerate the events of their timeline, but ,her connection with XChara is much more different,since they ended up having the same motives-to end XGaster's plan.But she cherishes her brother the same.

-On UnderVerse, she no longer calls herself XR. She managed to get another name, which is "Entity." One she got during a fight against Cross.

-Young XR and adult XR are having different archetypes on how they get the perspective of the timeline's events. When she was an adult, she finally realized she has to finally end her suffering from the past, but instead of terminating herself, she managed to tear out her soul's other half( which is XGaster's half of the soul), leading her to be a creature with emptiness. Except, there's still a fragment of DETERMINATION stored in her soul,so she still has the motivation to live. But, despite of being empty, she can finally know what is "happiness" since her suffering has finally ended. It's the only way to end her agony. Tearing what XGaster has left on her. That disables her ability to use the OVERWRITE button, but still,her plan to rebel against XGaster never faded. That is why she called herself "Entity".Because she is her own ENTITY now. XGaster doesn't have the power over her anymore, even though she was a creation of him.

you are so different: MO RAN is an aggressive wild extrovert, while you are just as aggressive introvert; he is chatty and bright, while you are silent and muted; after all, he is a dog, while you are a cat, — but damn him if he walks past you without catching on and not realizing that he would do anything to have a chance. however, MO RAN is more than good at communication! he is very good at words and can support your jokes or style, and although it will be difficult for you to embarrass him with teasing, he is sensitive to the manifestation of love and willingly wags his tail at it. dark sense of humor cannot confuse him, as well as your straightforwardness or bluntness — MO RAN himself is no better, even if at first he will say that this is obviously not the case, as if he did not specially cook spicy dishes for you for several hours just to show how good he is and say that he did not cook quite for you but since you are here, then you can taste and give him your assessment (and you yourself are no longer sure whether he is flirting or proudly showing off.)

ESTJ Hate: A Rant From an ESTJ’s Perspective

TLDR: ESTJs are not jerks, narcissists, or arrogant assholes. ANY type can be like that, so knock it off and stop bullying them.

As the title says, this blog/ article is going to be a rant about the type community and their attitude toward ESTJs.

And this hate can be applied to other types, like my fellow ESFJs and any sensor in the community.

But today we’ll focus on the most hated MBTI type: ESTJs (aka my type).

I sincerely hope that you’ll read this article with an open mind and please try to understand where I’m coming from despite the… heated tone this article has. 😅 

I get it if you think I’m mistyped, but I’m not gonna prove my type to you. Take it or leave it. (It's not this article's point anyway).

If I’m wrong about my type, then so be it.

But I hope that this article will take the heat off of ESTJs, because whether I’m one or not – they don’t deserve the hate and bullying. (Nobody does).

Why do people hate ESTJs so much?

If you’ve been into MBTI for any amount of time, you know that everyone hates ESTJs. Like… a lot.

And it’s not hard to see why.

Because, according to the infallable internet, we ESTJs are:

Tradition-oriented/ anti-progression

Bullies, jackasses, and know-it-alls who refuse to admit we’re wrong

anti-INFP (according to a YouTube video thumbnail lmao)

Control freaks and micromanagers

Extremely insecure and obsessed with social status

Unrealistic perfectionists whose lives revolve around work, recognition, and climbing up the ladder

Narcissists and insecure as hell

The enemy and ultimate roadblock to change

Stuck in our ways

Mean, cruel, heartless, hot-tempered

Smacking everyone on the head with a rulebook

Anti-individuality

Obsessed with getting recognition

Stepping on everyone’s toes to get their way no matter what

Stubborn for no reason

Always angry, pissed, and yelling at everyone for no reason

Desperate to be in charge, power-hungry assholes who shouldn’t be in charge

Terrible with people and hated by everyone who has to work with us

Bossy control freaks

The list goes on and on, and so does the endless hate.

*sighs and slides down wall*

If I had a penny for every time someone changed their mind about me as a person after doing a type reveal, I’d be set for the rest of my miserable life. *faint kazoo goes off in the background*

Then again, I can see why people would hate us with these extreme descriptions… even though it’s stupid.

ESTJs have a double whammy in MBTI: We’re both Te users, and SJs.

Let’s face it: Most people wanna be a Ti user, or at least that’s what I’ve seen.

Apparently, Ti means you have a brain and can think for yourself, while Te... is just bossy or domineering.

But, of course, ENTJs and INTJs don’t get any hate because they have Ni, which is supposedly future-oriented and not stuck in tradition. *cough cough, Si can be like this too*

SJs, who have high Si, are stereotyped as… well… traditional.

Si is described as *super* boring at best, and sounds like they don’t have anything interesting going on in their lives.

Apparently, if you’re an SJ, you’re alllll about upholding traditions and that’s it.

Not only do we not change the world, we keep change from happening.

We’re stabilizers, and incapable of having fun, or having deep conversations with people cuz we’re not intuitives.

That’s a giant pile of stereotype-infused crap, by the way. ^

TLDR: ESTJs can be nice, empathetic, open-minded people. We are NOT pissed off Karens who wanna dictate your life.

ANY type can be a control freak, angry, pissed off, controlling, etc.

If you’re typing someone as an ESTJ because of stereotypes and that list of ESTJ traits the internet came up with, you’re typing people wrong.

Stereotypes are fun for a while, but they get old quick – like your favorite food. Or memes.

Instead, if you wanna learn more about MBTI and typology, you need to learn the cognitive functions and learn the nuances.

(Spoiler alert: There are *lots* of them. This isn’t 16 personalities or dichotomies).

Stereotypes are great for starting out and building a foundation.

But you need to go further if you wanna understand type and people (or yourself, if you’re as self-absorbed as I am).

And honestly? It’s way more interesting that way. :P

So while we’re here, let’s talk about some ESTJ stereotypes and bust them.

Feel free to grab some Ruffles while you’re at it, cuz this is gonna be a long one.

Why are ESTJs so mean?

We’re not. Or at least not on purpose.

Everyone has a different idea of what being nice and being mean are. But if we’re talking extremes, I’m gonna assume you’re imagining us screaming our heads off and making you cry at work.

In that case, that’s not an ESTJ.  Anyone can be mean, including feelers. Anyone can lose their temper and lash out.

That’s something outside of type.

If you wanna figure out someone’s MBTI type, you need to find out *why* they’re doing what they’re doing. I cannot stress enough that MBTI is about the WHY and HOW, **NOT** the “what.”

Are they frustrated because they were thwarted and missed a deadline?

Were they having an off day? (Happens to everyone)

Are they healthy or unhealthy?

Are they secure or insecure? What are they insecure or worried about, WHY, and HOW are they dealing with it?

How do they see themselves? What’s their biggest problem and why?

Etc. Etc. Etc.

You need to ask yourself (and them, if you can) questions like those ^ if you wanna type someone so you can get a well-rounded view of them.

In other words: If you wanna get better at finding people’s MBTI type or your own, you need a well-rounded view of them.

And even then, you may not get it right even if you’ve spent a long time observing this person or talking to them. Frustrating, I know.

Typing people is hard because people are complicated and nuanced. I’ll probably write an article about typing people and all that jazz later on.

Anyway, this is turning into a ramble.

The point is: Being a jerk does NOT make someone an ESTJ. And being nice doesn’t mean they can’t be one.

Being a narcissistic, controlling, arrogant know-it-all doesn’t make anyone an xSTJ. Period.

2. Why are ESTJs hated?

Simple: Stereotypes. ESTJs are often described in the worst light humanly possible while other types get a pass or praise for doing the same things we do. *end credits start rolling*

All jokes aside, most people don’t understand what high Te and high Si look like in real life.

They just assume that Te doms are bossy workaholics who love making people cry, and that SJs are stuck in their ways and refuse to change. (This is incorrect).

Combine the two, and you get STJs: the types no one wants to be. (Spoiler alert: NTJs and STJs are FAR more similar than you think).

Sure, every stereotype may have some truth to it, but ESTJs get FAR more hate than any type I’ve seen.

Spend a day on type databases, discord groups, etc. and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

*rolls eyes* ^ This is just… *sighs*

It’s genuinely ridiculous how much hate an ESTJ gets compared to their glorified intuitive counterpart.

One letter makes a world of a difference. (People do be simping for ENTJs 😩💦). And no, I'm not jealous.

Don’t get me wrong – There are plenty of solid blogs about us out there.

Unfortunately, most people don’t find them or read them, since first impressions mean *a lot.*

Like the list way up there said, ESTJs are described in the worst light possible.

We have way more cons than pros, and the pros we *do* have make us look like workaholics, or at the very best, as managers with no lives or hobbies outside of work. -_-

Don’t get me wrong – we can absolutely become workaholics. I, myself, find most of my fulfillment in work. (Yeah, I’m not helping my case, am I? 😐)

But guess what? ANYONE can become a workaholic. ANYONE can be mean. ANYONE can be a nightmare boss or co-worker to work with.

Instead of assuming that every mean person is an ESTJ, try to figure out WHY they’re that way… or if they even think they’re that way.

Thinkers tend to be direct… assuming they’re not struggling with trauma, low self-esteem, etc. (Which any type can, including ESTJs).

No, I'm not excusing asshole behavior. I'm trying to say that thinkers generally don't see their direct nature as a problem.

But chances are, if you were honest about how they were, they'll stop. Or at least the healthy ones will adapt.

I’d offer another list of scenarios, but that’ll turn into a ramble. And I think you get the idea. 🙃

Side tangent aside, believe it or not: We have lives outside of work, and not every single one of us are career-oriented people or workaholics. :wow:

Lazy ESTJs exist. But chances are, they’re probably mistyped as a different type, since Te doms aren’t described in a realistic light.

And even when they are, they’re pigeon-holed as workaholics. (Which is stereotypical thinking at best).

And even if we were: There’s nothing wrong with that. If you like work, regardless of your MBTI type, go work.

Don’t let anyone bully or pressure you into doing or not doing something.

3. Why are ESTJs so judgmental?

Because we’re human. *flips hair*

Everyone judges everything regardless of their type, whether you like it or not.

I guess the question here is: Why are we so loud and obnoxiously vocal about it? Well, we may not be.

Being vocal about something means you need to be confident in it. That confidence may be true confidence, or just arrogance to mask insecurity.

And believe it or not – ESTJs can go either way.

In other words, this is NOT a type thing! Everyone judges everything, since we all have two judging functions.

And even then, despite being Te doms, we may not choose to share or vocalize our opinions on things if we struggle with low self-esteem, self-doubt, or anxiety.

We can often shut down and choose a passive or cooperative way of doing things.

It just depends on our mood, how confident we're feeling, etc. Te can be used in a supportive way.

It’s almost like we’re humans, and not a stereotype that can only default to one reaction towards insecurity...

Finally, we’re “judgmental” because the internet just wants to paint us in a bad light whenever possible and lift INFPs up. And it pisses me off. (No, I don't hate INFPs).

When an INFP chooses to stand up for what they believe in, they’re praised and glorified as an underdog who’s trying to change the world.

But when an ESTJ does the same or similar thing, they’re shat on for being stubborn, arrogant, angry, and narrow-minded know-it-alls who can’t stand change.

Do you see the HYPOCRISY there?

And no – I don’t hate INFPs. In fact, I have INFP friends I like spending time with. (Yeah. Believe it or not, ESTJs and INFPs **can** get along. It’s about MATURITY, common interests, etc. NOT TYPE).

Why are ESTJs obsessed with social status, looking good, and protecting their reputation?

Because we’re human, and that’s what EVERYONE does to an extent.

I don’t care what your type is. Everyone cares about how they’re seen to some extent.

Sure, you got some apathetic people who have given up on life and decided to F it, but everyone has insecurities and everyone either cares or used to care.

Welcome to being human.

As for being obsessed with social status and image, this could happen for a variety of reasons, but the biggest one is that they're insecure. (Duh).

The important thing to consider here is WHAT they’re insecure about and WHY they’re insecure.

Sure, a Te dom can be obsessed with status and image, but guess what? So can FPs and Ti/Fe users.

However, I will acknowledge that this particular insecurity with how you’re seen and status tends to point to an imbalance between your introverted judging (Ji) and extraverted judging (Je) function.

In other words, you’re more likely to be an EJ or IP if you struggled with this your whole life.

Again, the key words here are “more likely.” Any type can be insecure and image-focused.

Nutshell: An insecure ESTJ can become obsessed with how other people see them, but insecurity and obsessing over how people see you is NOT an ESTJ thing. Any type can do this.

Are ESTJs narcissists?

No. They can be, but being a narcissist isn’t the same as being an ESTJ.

ANY type can be stubborn, gaslight, refuse to change their mind, and display narcissistic behaviors.

Any type can:

Be arrogant

Gaslight

think they’re always right

Manipulate people

beobsessed with their image

Be cruel, humiliate people, become abusive

Be a pain to be around/ toxic

Etc.

ANY. TYPE.

And no – narcissism is not more common in ESTJs. Every type has an equal shot of becoming this way.

If you’re using the ESTJ label, or any MBTI type to justify or explain your or someone else’s toxic behavior, then you need to look somewhere else because being a toxic and difficult person has NOTHING to do with your actual type.

HOW and WHY you do what you do can point to your type. Not the behavior itself.

So slapping a label onto someone who’s like that and calling them an ESTJ is lazy vibe typing at the very best.

So what should you do in that situation? I don’t know. (Yeah, real helpful, I know).

But calling them an ESTJ and shitting on them isn’t going to help you *or* them.

People get stressed out, lash out, and snap. It’s part of being human.

But if they’re a narcissist, and you want advice on how to deal with narcissists, you’ll have to look somewhere else.

Why are ESTJs so bossy?

It depends on how you define ‘bossy.’

Like I mentioned earlier, every neutral trait an ESTJ may have immediately gets put in the worst possible light, and it’s stupid. (Yeah, I’m a little worked up and frustrated at this).

Sure, narcissistic, know-it-all ESTJs exist, but guess what?

ANY TYPE can be narcissistic, arrogant, and a know-it-all who refuses to consider alternative options.

Here’s a possible answer though: Te users tend to sound FAR more set in stone than we actually are.

Therefore, we can *sound* bossy even though we don't mean to.

Chances are, we’re open to feedback and we WILL change our minds if you give us a good reason.

Tertiary Ne *does* make us more open to sudden changes than our IJ counterparts. 🙃

Hell, we’ll gladly put you in charge if we think you know what you’re doing.

(Which is honestly not that hard. I’ve changed my mind about a lot of things, and I like using my Te to SUPPORT people and systems, not necessarily lead).

Why are ESTJs so insensitive and disrespectful?

We’re not. Or at least we don’t mean to be.

Again, it depends on what you consider insensitive, disrespectful, mean, etc.

Cuz here’s the thing: Most ESTJs don’t see themselves that way because they think they’re just saying it as it is.

Unless they had a traumatic past, struggle with low self-esteem, or something that made them soften their Te (which is pretty common) – they’re probably just being direct.

But I can promise you this: A HEALTHY ESTJ WILL change when you give them feedback.

Unhealthy ones may get stuck up, but being stubborn, arrogant, or defiant against feedback are NOT signs you or the person you can’t stand is an ESTJ.

ESTJs have inferior Fi, which can make them incredibly empathetic if they’ve experienced what you did.

People don’t often realize it, but inferior Fi (assuming we haven’t suppressed it) influences us WAY more than most people realize. (And it’s not surprising, since we never talk about it lol).

An ESTJ with decently developed Fi, or someone who was raised to be empathetic, sympathetic, nice, etc. will NOT look like the description. (That’s a good thing, by the way).

I suspect that many conflict-avoidant or even people-pleasing ESTJs get mistyped as other types because of this, including me.

I mistyped as every type except ESTP and INFJ before finding my type because I couldn’t relate to the description at all.

Why do ESTJs think they know everything, make you feel stupid, and crap?

I’ll admit that Te can sound a lot more certain and set in stone than it actually is, so this has a little credit to it.

But, in a nutshell, condescending behavior is NOT a sign that someone is an ESTJ.

This know-it-all, condescending, narcissistic image that everyone has of us makes me roll my eyes and it gets tiring.

We’ll probably barrage you with questions if what you’re saying doesn’t match up with what we think or know is true.

But guess what? Every type can do this. It’s called thinking for yourself, which is a good thing.

I’ll admit we can sound arrogant to certain types, and it can feel like we’re insisting we’re right, but we’re just trying to see if you know what you’re talking about.

After all – Te *is* about competence and authority.

TLDR: Any type can do this. It’s not an ESTJ thing.

Why are ESTJs so angry, have a hot temper, and get mad so easily?

I can’t speak for every ESTJ, but I usually get this way when someone gets in my way. If I want something, I (usually) go get it.

So when someone or something thwarts me, it pisses me off.

And if you’re being honest with yourself, you could probably relate to that to *some* extent.

In other words: Having a short temper is NOT an ESTJ thing.

It depends on WHY you or the person you hate has a short temper.

But honestly?

When I am thwarted, my pissed off-ness comes off as frustration most of the time, not necessarily fire-breathing rage. (And even if it did, there ain’t nothin’ wrong with that :P)

Why do ESTJs never change their mind?

Another wonderful stereotype. *rolls eyes*

We can get stubborn about getting something done a certain way because people don’t do it up to a standard. This is generally a GOOD thing.

Standards exist for a reason. Standards create consistency, AND THIS IS A GOOD THING.

Especially in fields where safety is critical, like construction, engineering, or any field that involves maintaining consistency.

We can also get stubborn about our opinions and think we’re right… but so can any type.

I find it funny how ESTJs get shat on for not changing our minds while other types (like INFPs) get praised for having a backbone.

The hypocrisy is stupid at best and makes me wanna roll my eyes at people who think of ESTJs as the devil and INFPs as these wonderful angelic creatures who we torment for fun at work.

On a serious note, healthy ESTJs are open to possibilities and change because of tertiary Ne.

We got a playful contemplative side that can make us mistype as NFPs or any other type.

If you don’t see that side in us, it’s probably because we’re not in the mood, you don’t know us well enough, or cuz we don’t like you.

And ESTJs will absolutely change their mind if they find your reasoning is better, or your process is more efficient.

Funny how people say we’re stubborn and refuse to change our minds while accusing us of being mindless sheep who follow the crowd… *insert gigantic eye roll and facepalm*

Bonus question: Why do people hate ESTJs so much?

Because it’s the internet, and the internet loves pity parties and shitting on a type together.

Stereotyping ESTJs into these angry, narcissistic, arrogant know-it-alls is much easier (and meme-able) than understanding Te, Si, and all that jazz.

And if I’m being honest, I used to care. And if I’m being *really* honest, I still do care.

That’s why I’m writing this stupid article so I can hope that at least *one* person can change their minds about us, or at least consider it.

Anyway, that’ll be all for this article. I know it was super repetitive, but I wanted to be thorough and make a point.

(Point is: Stop bullying ESTJs).

I feel like sometimes extroverted people try to force introverted people into being carbon copies of themselves instead of just realizing that people are different, and as long as that person is happy and well-adjusted, they don't "need" to be forced to go out if they don't want to just because you want them to.

Tom probably appreciates the fact that she's DIFFERENT from him, because she probably keeps him grounded and less impulsive. She keeps him sane and level-headed.

She is my Obey Me MC and is the most-utilized OC out of all of my OCs.

Personality:

She has a calm and composed personality, even in a stressful situation. This is due to her work environment as a pastry chef. But she also has a hidden mischievous side that often shows when she joins the Anti-Lucifer League with their antics, much to Lucifer's dismay.

She's perceptive of other people, especially when it comes to their emotions, but can be oblivious when it comes to herself. This obliviousness also applies when someone is showing romantic interest in her.

Similar to Levi, she also gets worked up whenever her interests are the topic of the conversation. She can and will talk your ear off when she gets the chance.

Introverted by nature, she cherishes her "me time" very much. She can attend social gatherings, but need some time to herself after a while to recharge.

Her nicknames are: Callie, Gremlin (affectionately by Lucifer), and Mani < it means 'peanut' in Filipino (her favorite food are peanuts and she used to eat half a kilogram of it when she was younger)

She is a supportive and doting mother to her twins. She is also quite protective over them, especially when they were kids.

Q: What kind of relationship does she have with the boys?

Lucifer

They are dating!! When she first arrived at the Devildom and met him for the first time, he had piqued her interest. That interest soon developed into a small crush, then it turned into love (she needed Asmo's help to realize it though).

He was giving her the cold shoulder though, so she thought it was hopeless even if she confessed.

When she did confess before her departure at the end of S1, she was really shocked when he accepted and reciprocated her feelings. As it turns out, Lucifer thought she was interested in someone else, that's why he kept giving her the cold shoulder.

Even though they're already in an official relationship for a few years, she can't help but act like a middle schooler with a crush whenever Lucifer's around. He finds it very amusing.

Fun fact: they haven't done the deed™ yet as per Camellia's request until she was 26 (and they were already married at that time)

Camellia: He's amazing. He may not seem like it but he is a very caring person that treasures his family above all else. He's also very supportive, and understanding and respectful of my decisions. I'm so lucky to have him! ^^

Mammon

Her best friend and partner in crime. They are a chaos-incarnate when combined, much to Lucifer's dismay.

They are very protective with each other. Out of all the brothers (except Lucifer), the two of them have the strongest bond with each other.

Camellia: Being his best friend is probably one of the best things that has happened to me. I can confidently say that his presence has changed my life positively. He is precious to me and that would never change. I do wish he'd stop getting in trouble every chance he gets. *sigh*

Leviathan

They get along pretty well because of their similarities in personality. They like exchanging recommendations with each other and has made it a bonding activity. Camellia often helps Levi through his social anxiety during social gatherings.

"What do you think of Leviathan?"

Camellia: Levi is an amazing person! I really love how he's so passionate about the things he likes, and I think everybody needs a little bit of that. I'm also grateful that I finally found someone who I can bond with over our favorite webcomics and light novel series. I hope he knows how awesome he is.

Satan

They also get along pretty well. He is her usual go-to whenever there's an upcoming test. They also bond over cats and go to regular cat café dates with Solomon. He knows Camellia owns a cat and is absolutely in love with Pepper (he is over the moon when he finally meets the cat).

Satan is her rambling buddy when her geek side is activated. And in turn, Satan tells her facts that she doesn't know yet and book recommendations.

"What do you think of Satan?"

Camellia: Sure, he's scary at first glance but he's a great person once you get to know him. I think his expressions when it comes to cats are quite adorable, but don't tell him I said that hehe.

Asmodeus

They did not get along at first but got closer later on. He's her fashion consultant (she has no clue when it comes to fashion lol) and her biggest hype man when it comes to her endeavors. He is also the one who helped Camellia realize her feelings towards Lucifer.

He brings her to some social events (with Mammon sometimes) so that she could experience more of the Devildom (his words). He is quite attentive of her during these events as he knows her social battery can get drained quickly. He only brings her when she agrees.

"What do you think of Asmodeus?"

Camellia: I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoy our time with each other. He is literally one of the nicest people I have met in my life. I have never met someone as supportive since I met Peachy, whom I met when I was in elementary school. I know I can rely on him and I hope he knows that he can rely on me too.

Beelzebub

Not as close as Mammon, Levi, and Satan, but they also get along well. He's her partner during workouts, and her No. 1 go-to when she needs help in general.

She occasionally bakes for him and she enjoys it. She does need his help reaching for the things in the cupboard though.

"What do you think of Beelzebub?"

Camellia: He's very nice. He may look intimidating but he's a gentle giant. Very sweet and kind, and he gives out one of the best hugs out there ^^

Belphegor

She had some trouble getting along with him after the events of Lesson 16, but she's slowly starting to open up to him again after bonding over astronomy.

"What do you think of Belphegor?"

Camellia: It's still a bit awkward around him but I know he's changed, so I'm giving him another chance. It's also nice to have someone knowledgeable about astronomy around, y'know?

Diavolo

They get along well so much so that the brothers sometimes say that they are like real siblings. They bond over things that they find interesting. Barbatos and Lucifer find the way they lit up over random things quite amusing to watch.

"What do you think of Diavolo?"

Camellia: He has this intimidating aura around him, but he's actually pretty cool to hang out with. There's never a dull moment when I'm with him. I like how he always works hard for the Devildom, and I respect him for that.

Barbatos

Camellia admires him a lot. She developed a crush of some sort towards him early on the start of the exchange program, though she never acted on it. She says the feelings she had for him at that time is akin to what a fan has for an idol.

Sometimes, she joins Luke and Barbatos's baking lessons for a chance to learn new recipes or skills. It become the highlight of her week if she does.

"What do you think of Barbatos?"

Camellia: He is so freaking amazing. Like– it's hard not to be amazed by him. He always does things so efficiently. It makes you wonder; does this man even make mistakes?? He's very nice but I definitely do NOT want to be on his bad side. Him being mad terrifies me a little.

Luke

She adores him a lot. They do a lot of baking together (sometimes joined by Barbatos and/or Simeon), and go to regularly planned outings with the other Purgatory Hall residents.

She is also protective over him, but even Luke is not safe from her teasing side, much to his chagrin.

With Simeon, the two of them tries to teach Solomon how to cook a decent and actually edible meal (there's no successful attempts yet, unfortunately).

"What do you think of Luke?"

Camellia: He is so adorable! He is like the little brother I never had!! There's just something about him that makes you wanna adopt him, y'know? It's also quite fun teasing him ehehe ಡ⁠ ͜⁠ ⁠ʖ⁠ ⁠ಡ

Simeon

She finds his presence soothing. They both like to dote on Luke, and he sometimes give her some life advice or stories about the brothers, which she appreciates very much.

"What do you think of Simeon?"

Camellia: He is probably one of the nicest people I know. He's like a caring older brother figure for me. He's kind of funny when it comes to technology lol. Although he is quite scary when he's angry...

Solomon

She admires him like how a younger sibling admires their older sibling. They do like to tease each other from time to time and has a competition on who can fluster who more.

"What do you think of Solomon?"

Camellia: He's a very cool and funky guy. He is quite a menace sometimes, but it's part of his charm. I do hope he gets better at cooking though. It's obvious he likes cooking for others but you know the issue about his cooking...

Final thoughts/Facts:

She is my most developed character, as she was originally a self-insert character. She has some of my personality traits and my hobbies, but I decided to make her a bit more different than me because it feels weird to have a character based on me at the moment I created her.

She is not my first OC though (that title goes to her older sister, Lillienne Hyacinth Sanchez, originally named Lillienne Cordova)

Lillienne was supposed to be my MC's name in the game but they won't accept it, and I was obsessed with camellia flowers at the time I started playing Obey Me. And that was how she was created.

She was really fun to make and I love her to bits.

Why I Answer Asks More Easily Than Make My Own Blogs

Or in other words: I have Avoidant Personality Syndrome. Literally diagnosed only a week ago. So to make things clear, I don’t know this the best either with it being so new but I’ll do my best to explain. The simplest and funniest way for me to put it though is that it’s what you get when Imposter Syndrome and Social Anxiety have a baby and it turns out to be the Anti-Christ. The long version is that it is a crippling fear of humiliation and failure in ALL things you do because of the way you perceive how others perceive you and you see yourself. Because you tell yourself the only outcome can be failure because you are worth so little, and they are worth so much more, there’s no reason to do anything because it will only mean pain for you and at best being ignored by others. In terms of my blog, it’s genuinely why Asks are easier on me than my own blogs. If it’s my own thought period, then I have no guaranty anyone is interested in the thought. If someone asks me though, then I know at least one person will want the thought and so I will succeed in one person’s eyes. It’s also where you get my relationship between me and my cat Mischief. Now Mischief is the best and I will not be accepting debate except with pictures sent to my ask box. This is where I would share a picture of her but Tumblr is being dumb and not showing me how to put in inserts like usual for some reason. So now with that out of the way, I also want to admit that she very social and very needy. She will straight up yell at me for attention and play times so she isn’t some cat who lays about all day (except when, you know, she’s sleeping. Because cats do that.) She also has, since a couple months after I got her, developed a knack for knowing when I’m heading to bed, even when she looks like she’s sleeping. When I do that, it’s time to get up, hop up and curl up on my chest, back, between my legs, over an arm, etc. like that because sleeping with me is her favorite place to sleep. She will also purr for like five minutes straight while just sitting on top of me, no pets required. Logic dictates that she definitely loves me. Yeah... Yeah guess who still constantly looks at his cat and asks, “I’m doing a good job, right? There’s enough space in this apartment? You have enough toys? I’m sorry I don’t play with you as much always. Depression and anxiety get in the way of that but I know that’s no excuse. I’m sorry I can’t give you a better life.” Is there a logic for it? No. Is there anything anyone can tell me to get my brain to stop worrying? Not really because of how I see myself versus my cat who, I should mention, is adopted from a shelter so I’m pretty sure finds my apartment that she owns as much as I do to be more than enough. It’s way more than she used to have after all. But that doesn’t matter to my brain. Nothing does. I question if even concrete proof like suddenly having a bestselling book would do it because my brain would possibly just try to create excuses for why everyone hates me, I’m still a failure and this isn’t real. It... It damages one’s ability to put themselves out in any way. I try to fight this as I’m an oddly sociable introvert *gestures at this entire blog* but there’s an Amischa story I want to do about Boscha growing up and why Amity’s betrayal in Winging It blindsided her so much and I KNOW that how people who don’t want me blaming Amity for anything might react to it and that adds a lot of pressure to even the idea of writing it. Pressure I didn’t have when I loved The Owl House and no one had decided to be a bigot towards me. Pressure I can’t get rid of and is likely half the equation for why this past year has just kind of been an ever worsening hell for me. And because Tumblr now is showing the option to me, let’s end this with a few pictures of Mischief as a pallet cleanser, hmm?

Greetings!! Might I request an Identity V matchup?? Forgive me if I don’t provide enough or too much information this is my second time doing one of these.

I don’t really have a preference gender wise or faction wise. I’m the kind of person who’s most interested in someone who tends to share similarities with me whether that be interests, personality or similar life experiences.

A majority of the time, I’m on the quiet side. I’m not one for talk as I struggle to piece together a sentence I’m proud with or generally lack anything to say. If he does speak up, it's usually shot back at him by Freddy or someone. He's-.. Not the best with talking. So he sort of keeps quiet. Not that he ever has anything important to say. Unless it's something grim.

Funnily enough, I see him as quite artistic in his own sense. Embalming is the art of preservation, albeit it's very.. Non traditional?

He probably didn't mean to get you started on bugs. He probably just said something and you just-. Started. And you didn't show any sign of stopping anytime soon

But, this isn't.. Exactly what you expected from the other. He sat there and just listened to you. Perfectly silent, but staring. His eyes fixated on you and his neutral expression a little difficult to read because of the mask but-. You were pretty sure he was listening anyways.

After you gave a small apology for rambling a bit, he probably finally realised he was staring and didn't know whether to look away or commit to the bit-. He ended up looking away and muttering out his own apology of some kind. For what? Dunno.

And similarly, when he gets started on death... He's pretty surprised when you were listening to him too. Most people are.. Creeped out, disgusted or frankly disturbed. He usually doesn't like the living because of how loud they are, they're so critical. The dead never judge.. You don't.

It was like breathing fresh air after being smothered in smog for so long...

After realising that you two are little more... Alike than he originally thought, he makes efforts to be around you. Albeit- it's a little stiff and awkward. He's not the best. But uh... So... You must like art considering you draw a bit.

For some reason.. Gosh he just loves hearing the way you talk. Which is.

Very weird for him.

Aesop is pretty picky about music. Too loud can hurt his ears. But.. He's willing to hear what you've got. If it's overwhelming, he probably wouldn't say anything but, if you're similar to him. Maybe he likes the same music type as him?

And don't worry, he's jumpy when it comes to loudness too. He much rathers the quiet. So, if you were to shut down? He's either

B) knowingly guiding you out of it because he's very, very similar.

To be entirely honest, I imagine he'd also need space. Other people, no matter how special they are to him, are overwhelming. So... The fact you two can both take time from each other and not be affected? Kind of perfect.

“Why is this shit so hard to build.” Kenyu muttered clicking his tongue, turning the page around; attempting to build the coffee table while sweat rolled off his body, his hand wiping away a salty drop from his brow.

Closing the door behind you with an “I’m home!” You walked into the living room, faced with a familiar bare back, hands placed on his hips as he was stretching. Your eyes wandered, making note of every curve and dip, the light sheen of sweat being reflected by the sun.

Turning around Yukimiya gave you a charming smile, your eyebrows shooting up at the sight of his chiseled abs and well built pecs, a hammer and nail in his hand.

“You’re Home!” he chirped.

You stood silently, hands still holding the keys. Pinching his eyebrows together until realization struck him, a smirk taking over his features.

“Come closer. The real thing feels better than your imagination.”

Yesterday, after SiLs and their children left, and aunt and M/FiL went to sleep, husband and I were downstairs in the kitchen complaining about them. XD

It's just... there's too many people here every day. Husband doesn't like it because that means that they're eating the little food we have. And sometimes it's the food husband and I buy for ourselves which costs us dearly because we don't really have money (or jobs) at the moment. Also, so much noise. And movement. And dirt and trash! The floors were so dirty last night! I swept up so much dust, crumbs, and large food bits. Kitchen table was also filthy with crumbs. Like, at least try not to be messy?

And dish-rag-aunt does not do a good job at cleaning dishes. None of husband's aunts do. I don't know if they're all just bad at it or if it's because they're old now and can't see well. I ended up rewashing most of them. Also, why. WHY use a rag to wash dishes?! Sponges are good. They do a very good job because that's what they're designed to do! Just use the damned sponge. And don't let it sit in the bottom of the dirty sink like SiLs or in dirty standing water like the other aunts ffs.

Another thing that absolutely confused me. Three hand towels. Why do we need three hand towels out and hanging on the rack? One hand towel is more than enough. I wash and replace the hand towel every week. Why? Why the three? Like two is too many, and three is just overkill. Why are we dirtying three hand towels in one week?!

While I was cleaning, husband poked at me and asked, "What? are you the maid now? Haha!"

"Yeah. I guess I am."

He stayed silent after that. No one else cleans here besides me. Husband does clean the dishes, spot sweeps, and washes our laundry, but everything else falls on me. And it's frustrating! Especially with FiL being sooooo messy and dirty (a problem that has persisted for as long as husband remembers) and having multiple groups of people over every damned day.

I'm tired.

Speaking of tired, I don't think husband's sisters should be here every single day. Every other day maybe? I don't know. I just... maybe it's because I'm chronically ill and fatigued so I have a different perspective, but they need to let MiL rest. Them being constantly present is, I think, exhausting. She needs to try to stay awake and conscious for them if they're here. Or, hey, maybe I'm wrong and she loves the company and it actually makes her feel better.

I am, after all, an anti-social introvert.

How do Joker and Punch feel about each other's housewardens?

Punch believes very strongly that Riddle is the very model of a Heartslabyul student, and aspires to be able to live up to his top-of-the-class example someday. And not only is he an excellent student, he does equestrian sports as well? That takes a lot of physical control and patience, and forming a bond with an animal means that a person has a kind soul. He sees that Riddle isn't asking for more out of his charges than he is willing to do himself. That's excellent leadership, isn't it? That's just what his sister needs to be able to acquire the self-discipline she wants to be able to become a success out in the world. He's certain that all the stories that she says about him being such a little tyrant are just her being frustrated about not being allowed to bend the rules. He really wishes he could have been a student there....

Sometimes Joker forgets that Punch has a housewarden, as opposed to just a hesitant disembodied voice coming from the dorm intercom system. She wonders how well Idia's hands-off approach towards leadership works out for his charges. They do seem to be doing pretty well, though. The few times she has seen Idia, though, she's been a little impressed and upset. Impressed, because... that's a whole hottie right there. Dang. If he got some real sleep and wore something other than a hoodie that you could hide three cocker spaniels in, he would be positively devastating. And upset, because of the same reasons. He's keeping all that cute locked away? Oh well. It isn't her job to make the anti-social social. Not in her brother's dorm, anyway. Has her hands full enough with her own pet introvert, Violetta. Still, she'd like to actually talk to the guy, find out what makes him tick.

Life on Joras Headcanons

Somewhere along the line, my One Piece crossover with @ikkaku-of-heart​ seems to have become my main verse. hehe. So here, have some headcanons.

Life on Joras is not an easy one. There’s people suspicious about everyone. Cults always trying to perform rituals they shouldn’t. Supplies from ships never quite reaching the greatly disturbed city of Arkham. The constant fear by every denizen that the light in the lighthouse will go out. it just all makes life very stressful.

Unless you’re Herbert West.

Herbert lives in an old house that doubled as a mortuary on the edge of the Cemetery beside the Miskatonic river. He can see one of the island’s very dark forests across the river. While normally not scared, he’s also not a fool. He knows not to trust the forest and not to touch the water of the river.

Herbert is about 85% unbothered by the other going ons of the island. He has his lab at home and his job at Miskatonic University Hospital, both of which is all he believes he needs in life. The depressive atmosphere of the island, the constant unease in the peoples’ spirits, and illusive “risk of pirate attack” just have no pull on Herbert. So long as people don’t bother him, he won’t be a problem for them.

Herbert isn’t superstitious but he also isn’t stupid. Though he dare not admit it, he knows the old ones are a very real risk to be concerned about. As such, he is regularly filled with the need to check to see if the lighthouse is still bright. It doesn’t matter that Arkham is a long distance from the shore.

Herbert would prefer to be around the dead than the living. He’s highly anti-social and extremely introverted. He just does not do well with others. Luckily for him, Joras always seems to have a new crop of corpses. Corpses no one cares about because they’re usually pirates or navy that foolishly made it to the island. Corpses where it will go unnoticed if the body’s missing an arm or a head or even just the entire thing really.

Much to Herbert’s disappointment, he does suffer from loneliness (occasionally). This is difficult when you hate everyone and everyone hates you because you’re somehow creepier than what is expected of Joras citizens. Generally, Herbert has no one to cure his loneliness whenever it wishes to strike. He has an ex but the man ratted him out to the Navy for “unethical experimentation with corpses”. Luckily, those Navy disappeared/died under mysterious circumstances before Herbert could officially be arrested. He’s ex was very annoyed and the two broke up shortly after. But after that, Herbert had zero people he actually cared to talk to.

A random encounter on an island that Herbert was procuring chemistry supplies on is what led to the brightspot in Herbert’s life. He happened upon a woman (Ikkaku) working for the Heart Pirates and the two got to talking about their connection to Joras. Despite Herbert’s usual dislike of women (a bad experience dealing with his ex’s late girlfriend), he and the pirate became quick friends.

Herbert’s never really had a friend around his own age besides his ex. Most people didn’t like him (for a multitude of reasons). And the last real friend he had was a professor (that later died). So, creating a bond with Ikkaku was a strange, and honestly, almost frightening experience for Ikkaku. He feels safe being himself around her because he knows she’s not a hypocrite and her calling the Navy on him when she works for The Surgeon of Death would be extremely hypocritical. 

Ikkaku’s friendship means more to Herbert than he ever expected. He is known for being extremely possessive and jealous, smothering even. Despite this, Herbert never tries to convince Ikkaku not to leave when she wants to return to her crew after a visit. He has found that her happiness means a great deal to him. So, he looks forward to her visits but he isn’t one to beg for one.

Unless, of course, someone new comes to the island and does something very, very stupid...
