Another 20 (or so) Questions with Karla Reyes

Interviewer: Welcome to another installment of our character interviews, where we dive deep into the lives and minds of our favorite cast members of The Muse. Today, we have Karla Reyes with us, our musically inclined painter. Karla, thank you for joining us. Could you start by telling us what made you want to pursue Studio Arts?

Karla: Hey, thanks for having me. So you know how they always have kids finger painting in preschool, well that was my favorite part of every day. As I got older and was allowed to just select an elective I always chose art. My high school art teacher Mr. Davis was really cool. He always had music playing in class, usually just instrumental stuff, but the music always fit the vibe and really influenced my work.

Interviewer: Describe your art, particularly your watercolor work, in your own words.

Karla: *gets thoughtful* Mmm I enjoy movement and the human form. The way that color can really set the tone, like the image could be the same, but if I use a different color palette it completely changes the direction of the piece. And music, usually my palette is found in songs. The tone provides me an array of colors and the rhythm gives the piece movement. Does that make sense?

Interviewer: I think so. How do you want to be seen by others?

Karla: I want to be seen as someone who is...natural. Like I hope people see who I am authentically. I'm a big believer in letting things play out and just existing in a way that isn't forced.

Interviewer: So just very go with the flow, I see. And how do you want your art to be seen by others?

Karla: Ok...that's not really easy to answer. Obviously everyone interprets art differently, as they should, but I think all I can ask for is that they feel something. I don't ever want someone to see my work and just think aww how pretty, I want them so actually feel something. It could be thought provoking, sensual, dark, lively, humorous. I just want people to see more than a beautiful object, I want them to take something away from it.

Interviewer: Of course, no artist wants people to view their work in a shallow way. What traits do you value most in a friend?

Karla: I'm pretty relaxed so I am usually drawn to people who are more outgoing. As long as someone has a good vibe and they're drama free then I think we can be friends.

Interviewer: Sounds simple enough. What is your latest obsession?

Karla: Nothing new really just the usual. I've been working on a new collection centered around love and heartache. It's not for an assignment or anything, I'm just trying to work through some stuff and painting is my favorite outlet.

Interviewer: You've told me some things you look for in a friend, but could you describe your ideal best friend?

Karla: Someone who is creative and outgoing, who shares my love for art and music. I value honesty and authenticity in a friend, someone that I feel comfortable with. It should be natural and effortless.

Interviewer: And what about your ideal partner?

Karla: *sighs* Should have seen that one coming. Usually I go for people that are sweet and bubbly. I'm a bit more chill and I just find people like that really refreshing, like rain on a hot summer day.

Interviewer: Aww that's actually really cute. What was your first kiss like?

Karla: It was pretty normal a quick peck with my best friend. We were in middle school and it was awkward we never talked about it after.

Interviewer: And have you ever been in love?

Karla: Oh god...I really hate this question. Yes I have been in love. I don't really want to go into detail.

Interviewer: Ok then, when was your last relationship, and why did it end?

Karla: Come on. You're killing me here. As I'm sure you already know I broke up with Faye at the end of last spring semester. It wasn't because I didn't love her or that she stopped loving me. It just all felt too complicated and neither of us are really good with conflict. I miss her like hell though, but I think this space is for the best. Like I wish we could have made it work, but I think we both just need some time to focus on ourselves.

Interviewer: I feel like you only gave me half an answer, but I won't press you I can tell you would prefer not to go into to much detail. Ok next question. What’s your ideal Friday night?

Karla: My ideal Friday night is pretty simple, friends, food, and live music. Just a nice night surrounded by my favorite things.

Interviewer: What’s the last song you listened to?

Karla: "Young Love" by Cleo Sol.

Interviewer: How do you behave in a relationship?

Karla: I try to be open and communicative, but as I've learned I really struggle with conflict. It's hard for me to 100% trust my partner if I feel like that trust has been broken. Honestly I just don't like drama, I kind of shut down if things start to feel off.

Interviewer: Interesting. Do you approach those you’re interested in or let them come to you?

Karla: It depends on the situation. I'm open to both approaches, but I think it's important to be genuine and authentic in any interaction.

Interviewer: What is your biggest pet peeve?

Karla: I can't stand people who are arrogant or disrespectful. I believe in treating others with kindness and respect.

Interviewer: What do you notice first about a person?

Karla: *chuckle and tucks her hair behind her ear* Their laugh. Some people laugh with their who body while others let out just a tiny giggle. I dunno I feel like you can tell a lot about a person by how they express their joy.

Interviewer: Aww that's really cute, and so true. Ok time for our last question. What did you dream about last night?

Karla: *gets a twinkle in their eye* Honestly I'd rather not say. Dreams can be very personal...if you know what I mean. *chuckles* So I'll just let you use your imagination.

Interviewer: *clears their throat* Oh uh, I see. Well that's all the time we have for today. Thank you so much for coming in and sharing more of your story with us!

hello! I'm the anon who's stopping by, I hope you're having a nice weekend! things over here are a little better. well the situation hasn't changed much but I'm slowly coming to terms with it, which is all I can ask for. and a few weeks ago we had some lovely, almost summer-like weather, which was super nice!! unfortunately this week it has been snowing (absolutely insane to me that it's snowing in mid April, as someone who has always lived in warm places until now) 😭 I was looking forward to finally wearing spring/summer clothes, but back to scarves and gloves it is. I hope the weather is nicer where you are!!

I've started watching leverage for the first time, which I wanted to let you know since I'm pretty sure I first heard of it years ago on your blog. I'm loving it so far!! I finished season 2 yesterday, and I'm excited to see where season 3 picks up considering how s2 ended! and I've really grown attached to all the characters! I love them all but Parker and Eliot are my favourites <3 Parker is just so delightful and relatable, and Eliot.... well let's just say I'm not immune to a character whose purpose is basically to defend and protect his family, to the point of self-sacrifice if needed. that always gets me. how about you, who's your favourite(s)?

hi anon, nice to see you again! i had a nice, relaxing weekend where i took some classes at the gym, read a lot of fic, and didn't do much else! we keep getting teased with nice weather and then it immediately gets chilly again. but no snow over here thankfully! snow in springtime should be illegal lol. i got a really cute denim jacket for spring and i still can't wear it, but hopefully that will change soon!

i can totally relate to "it's not getting better but i'm learning to live with it." sometimes, that's really all you can do. i think it counts as a win for both of us.

oooh leverage, how exciting!! i love leverage! what a great show and with great characters and such wonderful storytellng! leverage has a special place in my heart! and yesss parker i love her a lot! she's out there making family and jumping off buildings and being the best thief ever!

while i was watching the show, eliot was my favorite (and side character quinn who barely appears at all, but i love him a lot). but it's kind of funny, because looking back on the series, if i was going to watch it again for the first time ten years later (and me being ten years older) i think i would lean more towards sophie. something about a middle aged woman who gets an arc about finding herself is very appealing. also she's so hot send help.

Okay so I think I have another cute TA…. NOW HERE ME OUT GIRL!!! So it’s for another PSYC class and this particular TA has been gone for about 2ish weeks bc he’s been in another country the entire time lol BUT he came back this week and he lectured and Sam he’s kinda cute!! Like he’s definitely a bit nerdy but when he speaks his VOICE😩 and he’s obviously so smart but he’s so like “chill” about it that it doesn’t come off as he’s trying time done his smartness if that makes sense! And he has the cutest laugh😩 anyways that was a something lol I feel like wining for having two hot TAs but ngl I’m still longing for my hot ex-professor 😔

And I went to a drag show last night which WAS FUN!!! And today I went to a bunch of record stores for Record store day! It was so fun and I got some records that I’ve been wanting!

WHAT A NICE WEEKEND! What kinds of records did you get? I totally missed the boat on getting back into records. I have my one Harry's House record for target and no where to play it hehehe My week was good! I finished my book early--it turned out to be better about halfway through. It was about three sisters who are witches. Really cool stuff! I think my favorite part of my week was shopping--I got a lot of cute clothes for the spring/summer that I'm hoping I'll feel comfortable in--I've mentioned it before but heat and I don't really mesh so I find it really distressing and difficult to dress in the summer. Topped with some body image issues 🙃 Well anyway--it was a very productive and relaxing week/break! School will be really busy the for the next month and I'm lowkey dreading it. I think I'm going to be writing off schedule a bit in the month of May and beginning of June. I have Ding part 3 ready for tomorrow which I'm excited about 💕

do you have a favorite piece you've written? i love listening to writers talk about their stories! i also love reading! did you have any new favorite books this year? what are some of your favorite books? ohhhhh i'm a summer girlie as well! it's a super busy time of year for me, but i feel much more like myself when the sun is out! i love chilly and cozy weather, but it's definitely harder for me mentally, so the spring and summer is my favorite time of the year. i love the beach/sea, i find it so relaxing, and i love going to the beach when i can, i feel like it recharges me, you know? i also like watching ballet lol i love dance -- during the height of the pandemic one of the ballet companies in my area put some of their shows on demand for a bit and i watched their production of a midsummer night's dream and it was so beautiful. i don't get to go to the ballet a lot, but that's definitely something i would love to do next year! sfbgkhdsbglhkdsavg you are not pathetic please, plus like at this point 80% of my personality is being a taylor swift fan (i'm literally wearing taylor merch as i write this lol)

nace endgame was definitely one of my favorite things this year! lol something else that i really loved this year was getting to see my best friend in 3 different trips. we've been best friends since we were teenagers, but she went to the other side of the country for college and she's lived on the other coast since so we only get to see each other a few times a year, but this year i got to visit her twice and she visited me once so that was definitely a highlight of the year! i've done a lot of fun stuff this year, and one of the biggest highlights was going to the eras tour! i love reading, so i loved reading new books this year and discovering some new authors and new favorite books. as i mentioned before, i like baking and i learned how to make swiss meringue buttercream -- it actually turned out so good, so i was proud of myself! this year i also fell back in love with one of my biggest passions (i feel like if i say what it was specifically it'll give away who i am, so i'll tell you later lol) and god what a beautiful feeling it was! i don't think i realized how...lost i felt without that passion and i felt so much more connected with myself once that passion came back. sorry, that got a little intense lol i just think it's beautiful how we can fall in and out of love with things, but the things that are apart of who we truly are we always find our way back to.

Omg I unironically love so many of them tbh. Out of the ones I caught this year I've loved The Christmas House, Ghosts of Christmas Always, and just yesterday I watched A Very Merry Bridesmaid which I super enjoyed. But you know how it is, they play different ones all the time and they're so easily forgettable 🙈

My nace fic obviously has a special place in my heart, but if I had to choose a favorite thing I've ever written, I'd have to go back to my og days in the Linstead fandom, so I won't babble about that! Overall, I am trying to feel more confident in my writing, but that's something I struggle with and compare myself to others all the time. Ooof asking the hard questions! My fave books... Definitely Pride and Prejudice is at the top, I have a comfort series I keep going back to, which is Chesapeake Bay saga by Nora Roberts (I love her explorations of found families and how they can be just as important as biological ones). It feels weird to name the HP books, but I grew up with them and they are a part of me. This years... I read Roisin Meaney's Life Before Us this year, and really enjoyed it. I am sad to report I don't read as many books as I'd like lately, and I need to change that! And yeah, I absolutely know what you mean. The sea recharges me like nothing else. Even just listening to it and watching it. It's amazing. Winter is definitely hard on me too, emotionally. Sometimes I feel during the winter I'm just existing, waiting for it to pass. so I can be myself again in the spring. And that sounds amazing! I've never watched Midsummer Night's Dream ballet!

Hahaha we are the same in that! Actually one of the highlights of this year I forgot to mention was getting tickets for the Eras Tour! I'll be seeing her once in Paris with two of my best friends in the world, and then again in August with a friend I've had since childhood, and then again with one of my best friends. So that's something I'm super excited about for next year! My entire year is gonna be TS coded.

Two of my best friends live two far away for me to see them regularly (actually one of them I've never actually met in real life) so I understand how that made you feel and I'm so happy for you!! It's an amazing feeling when you finally got to spend time with them. And you're so lucky you went to the Eras Tour! Okay, since I told you I need to get back into reading, can you recommend me something fun and possibly romancey? You clearly have good taste so... hehe.

a pretty big haul here! since i am posting much after buying i can give my reviews rather than first impressions for most.

Emerald Mist- this one is AMAZING! i was expecting to like amethyst waves more but this one really surprised me. it is a nice fresh clean/woodsy scent and is kind of hard to put into words. i think the fresh rainfall note really gives it the vibe of standing next to waterfall in a lush forest 🌧

Gingham Vibrant- i was holding out hope that this was repackaged candied violet sorbet but it’s not :( it is a good scent, and i do like it quite a bit in the shower gel. the fine fragrance mist and body cream are a bit sweet for me but i use them every once in a while. if you like super sweet scents and blackberry this is the one for you! 💜

Sweet Pea- a classic. i love this one, this is my first time having it in the fine fragrance mist! it’s a very sweet bright floral. 🌸

Sun Soul Radiating (Orange Flower Sandalwood)- wowwwww! i was blown away by this scent. this is like the perfect summer scent. it just smells like the way the sun warming your skin on a sunny day does. i also really love the body balm and i hope to see more of those from bath and body in the future! 🌞

Strawberry Poundcake Lip Scrub- so i’m torn on this one. the packaging is adorable, the sparkles are cute, the scent is great. however, the formula is different than their other lip scrubs and i find it leaving residue all around my lips and sparkles all over my face without doing much to exfoliate my lips. i prefer the formula their coffee one has. 🍰

Gingham Fresh- this one was good. it’s the kind of delicate floral with some fruit that i would use a lot in the spring. 🌼

Clean Slate- i have no review for this one yet, as i purchased it for my partner and he hasn’t made it through his current body cream yet. it does smell good though. 🪨

Amethyst Waves- this one is good. it’s a little on the light side though. i think the berries with the sandalwood make for a really relaxing spa like fruit scent 🌊

Iced Lemon Pound Cake- when i saw this one i knew i had to get it. my partner lovessss lemon desserts and lemon scents/flavors in general. he loves it! i also like it, it’s a nice desserty pound cake with that sweet lemon glaze scent to compliment 🍋

Lavender Vanilla- this is one of my long-standing go tos from bath and body works. i am obsessed with it. it is such a clean and relaxing scent. it was very nice in the moisturizing body wash and yes i said was because i already used it up! ☁️

Rosewood & Smoke- i reallly like this one. it’s definitely true to its name with a nice smokiness and woodsy scent. i hope to see more of these neutrals/cologne mists from bath and body in the future. 🪵

Coco Paradise- i had to pick up a back up of this one because i was using so much of it in the spring. it is a fantastic coconut scent! 🥥

I got offered a new position at my job so I'm no longer going to be a cashier but part of the operations team where I'll be unsticking and cleaning which sounds kind of boring when I tell people but I'm really relieved because it's more low-key and relaxed with higher pay. Chinese Music I Listened to This Spring/Summer

I think it’s been a few months since I posted about Chinese music/cpop, so I thought I’d provide an update on what I’ve been listening to this past spring/part of summer.

And of course, I made a Spotify playlist to go along with this post. And each song name is linked to YouTube for those of you who don’t use Spotify. The Spotify playlist includes a few “bonus” songs.

 薛之谦 / Joker Xue In my last music post, I called 薛之谦 “my latest Mandopop obsession.” I’ve still been listening to his music a lot, but I’ve had different songs on repeat lately. His slower and quieter songs have been speaking to me a lot more.

《像风一样》 is the musical version of a deep breath. But a sorrowful, long deep breath. The lyrics are quite sad really, but this song also makes me feel at peace.

《哑巴》 is that song that I never skip when it comes on shuffle. It starts out very quietly, so sometimes in the car I can’t even hear that it’s begun, But it picks up towards the middle/end. 

《那是你离开了北京的生活》 was a song I used to overlook. But luckily I gave it a second chance! It’s once again a sad yet beautiful song. The lyrics are making me tear up a bit, not gonna lie.

《变废为宝》 kinda goes over my head lyrically, but the vibe isn’t as sad as the previous 3 songs. It gives me a slightly hopeful feeling.

《动物世界》 is the darkest and gloomiest out of these 5 songs. It sounds a bit on-edge and unsettled.

韦礼安 / WeiBird Similarly, I’ve also continued listening to 韦礼安 this spring.

《女孩》 was love at first listen when I heard it covered on Chuang 2021 (which I just watched this spring). I instantly went to look up who it was by and was pleasant surprised to see it was a 韦礼安 song! This song is just so cute—but in a good way!

《不用告诉我》 was not very memorable to me at first, but then I found that I had the line 让我卑微地享受 片刻的永久 stuck in my head. Oddly, this song really feels like an album intro song to me, but it’s #6 in the tracklist.

《记得回来》 has pretty simple lyrics that I think many of us can understand, which is a huge plus. It’s the perfect song to belt along to (even as someone who sucks at singing).

《忽然》 is basically the definition of a song that starts slow and then builds up to an explosion. It even has a nifty guitar solo. 10/10 recommend.

《如果可以》 is a huge hit for a reason. It does give off major “movie theme song” vibes, which can be a turn-off, but I still like it. Also, there are official Japanese and Korean versions, so if you’re learning those languages, check them out!

徐佳莹 / LaLa Hsu 《言不由衷》 is a song I’ve heard many times before because I’ve listened to the album it’s from a lot. Oddly, it never stood out to me before, but I somehow “rediscovered” it this spring and really fell in love.

邱锋泽 / Feng Ze

《冰山》 is just super catchy! Part of me registers that the lyrics are actually a bit sad, but I end up singing along with a smile on my face. Whoops.

《年青有为》is one of two songs to the same melody. The other song is sung in Cantonese, and it’s called 《一表人才》. They both also include singer 吕爵安. Honestly this song isn’t that special. I just like it.

《潜台词》 is actually a duet with 黄伟晋. This song really drilled its way into my head. I seriously cannot stop humming it! It has a somewhat slow and mellow but also hard-hitting. Surprisingly, I don’t mind the rap (I’m not a big rap fan).

《日环食》 was the first Feng Ze song that clicked with me. It’s a relatively simple song, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It feels quite earnest.

九泽CP / Nine Chen & Feng Ze 九泽CP is a duo comprised of Nine Chen (陈零九) and Feng Ze (邱锋泽). I have to learn how to distinguish their voices (something I am not good at in general). This feels like cheating somehow because it means I have way too many Feng Ze songs here.

《偷走你的心》 is bubblegum pop, but I love it. It’s so infectious and makes me feel bubbly. I love the little opening sax(?) moment too. It reminds me a bit of a kpop song with the short rap sections. Only thing I don’t like is that it’s too short!

《绝对发言》 has a lot in common with the previous song, but it’s a little more funky and spirited in my opinion. If you like one, I’m sure you’ll like the other.

《最后一秒钟》 is quite different from the two right above. It’s more somber and serious, but I think the duo pulled off this style very well as well. It does not feel nearly like a 5 minute song!

井胧 / Jing Long I was introduce to Jing Long while watching Chuang 2021, and *SPOILER* I was very upset that he did not make it to the final because I love his unique voice! Fortunately, he seems to be doing pretty well for himself from what I’ve seen.

《不删》 is another song that I can understand very easily. Sometimes I feel a bit silly listening to a song about WeChat, but obviously this song is about much more than just that. Jing Long’s voice conveys the emotions so well.

《丢了你》 - In the time between when I started drafting this post and today, this song was removed from US Spotify and then added back. Get your act together, Spotify and music labels! I was distressed to see it greyed out—then it suddenly reappeared! But anyway the song is really good.

华晨宇&杨宗纬 / Hua Chenyu & Aska Yang 《国王与乞丐》 is not at all a recent discovering, but for some reason I’ve been drawn back to it lately. It’s a lovely duet. But something wacky has been going on with the 《异类》 album on US Spotify too. I kept having to remove and then readd this song to my playlist. You’ve been warned!

Howdy there users of this app that I have yet to use consistently.

I have appeared to talk about something that I’m shocked I haven’t noticed yet in a special interest of mine, Undertale. Like really. Like how has no one pointed this out yet. People picked this game apart like freaking vultures I’m surprised this isn’t common knowledge

That being said it could be common knowledge and I could just be stupid BUT STILL.

Okay so we all know the main locations in Undertale: The Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland. People have picked apart the names and the places and the people living in these places, from the ridiculous amount of puns Snowdin holds to the foreshadowing in The Ruins to the mess that is The Core in Hotland to… just everything in Waterfall honestly. Waterfall is weird. But I noticed something in Snowdin, specifically in Sans’ puzzle, that I was shocked I haven’t noticed before.

I’ll cut it off so some people don’t have to look at my rambles-

We’ve all seen the Monster Kidz Word Search that Sans clearly worked hard on, and I was bored, so I tried to solve it. Most of the stuff is random references and stuff that has nothing to do with anything, but I noticed something that confused me. Monsters don’t even have a day/night cycle, but if you look at the weird search, they apparently have seasons???

So I decided to analyze this, and I was thinking, and I figured it out

The locations in undertale are based off the seasons

In The Ruins, it’s based off of fall. Everything is kinda deadish, abandoned, and overgrown, and there are moths and frogs and spiders everywhere. Spider eggs hatch inbetween summer and fall (I think), moths and bugs are kinda everywhere, and idk why I think the frogs are important to this I just think that. Also Halloween. Also the dead tree in front of Toriel’s house with all the dead leaves. Also, just Toriel in general. She loves teaching, baking, and she keeps everything very safe. She’s the kinda person who you’d sip warm cider with by her pleasantly warm fireplace as she reads it a bedtime story, which has such cute cottagecore fall vibes I can’t even deal-

Then Snowdin, which is obvious but I’m explaining it anyway. It’s winter. There’s snow everywhere, the dogs are all kinda big fluffy husky type dogs that you’d associate with the cold, and there is literally a Christmas tree in the middle of Snowdin Town. A Christmas tree. People are bundled up nice and warm, and Grilby’s feels like a warm little cottage that you’d want to hide away from the cold in if it weren’t for the fact that is full of drunks. Also Sans and Papyrus’ house looks like something out of a winter rom-com.

Waterfall is based off of spring. There’s flowers and greenery everywhere, there’s rivers running to and fro about the place, and there’s even a little bird friend there! The residents of Waterfall are either very childlike or old and somewhat wise (like Gerson!), which is reminiscent of new beginnings. It’s also raining constantly, and everything has a sort of calm atmosphere. And then Undyne is like a spring storm, she’s very persistent and scary, but she dies out as soon as summer comes.

Finally, Hotland is summer. It’s a very extreme summer, with lava running underfoot that somehow still can’t melt the snow on Sans’ checkpoint’s roof, but it’s still summer. Here the residents are teenagers hoping for an escape from school and adults looking for an escape from work, which they’re granted by the puzzles activating. There’s also Mettaton, who’s the life of every party ever and who’s boss battle is basically a summer concert. Alphys… I don’t really have an explanation for her contribution to this. But that doesn’t make it less summery let me have this okay-

Here is a part one of some of my personal favorite Frankie Stein dolls. Now this list will probably have a majority of the Frankie dolls but I want to explain why I like them. This list will also help me keep track of the MH lines since I personally have a difficult time remembering what doll comes from which line and also I want to add that some of these dolls I have owned and some I haven't but I will make that clear when talking about them with that said here we go!

1. Home Ick Frankie Stein

When I was younger I wanted this doll so badly. I just remember thinking about how neat she was with her bangs and the black and white hair with the red lipstick. This doll is so iconic to me and I always thought her outfit made her look a bit like a ragdoll and I just thought that look was totally cool.

I had shown my boyfriend this doll today and he said he liked the apron and I agree. The apron really ties in this cute look.

2. Dead Tired Frankie Stein

Okay can we all agree that any slumber party doll line slaps? They make the pajamas look so cute and comfy looking like I would wear this. Its hella cute and it did a great job capitalizing on something kids enjoy and that's slumber parties.

The thing I love the most about this doll is the side pony it really ties in the whole vibe of this line and doll for me. I think they also chose the perfect lip shade for Frankie here. It's really suits here and I enjoy how minimalist it looks if that makes any sense.

3. Gloom Beach Frankie Stein

This is the first doll in this list that I have actually owned and I remember getting her. I think I got her in the spring or summer and she was my first ever Monster High doll. I thought she was so cool and cute and I loved playing with her as a child. I really hope one day I can buy her again in box because she was pretty special to me. Also Gloom Beach seems kinda underrated imo.

4. Dawn of the Dance Frankie Stein

This doll screams 2010 and this outfit is ICONIC! The black and white bolts, the hot pink jacket and fishnets. You can tell the person who came up with this doll had/has style. This doll is so bright and catches my attention whenever I see her.

I remember my friend had this doll and I thought she was the sickest thing ever. Like this doll was just so much fun and i wish i had her, i feel like holding this doll would give me so much serotonin.

5. Picture Day Frankie Stein

Any Frankie doll with bangs or a high pony is absolutely stunning. I love this dolls jacket and the lip color they chose for her it really gets me hyped for the 2022 reboot looking back at all of these stunning Frankie dolls, they really know how to dress Frankie and this outfit is just perfect and suits her and her personality.

I really like Frankie dolls because I feel like you can include any color for her outfits like the usual choice is green or blue but you can still go outside of that and have her wear hot pink or red and the people on the MH team really knew how to dress up their dolls and make them look appealing. I am very excited to see what they will be doing for outfits in the reboot and so far it looks promising.

Hello, hello!! It's me again!! Here to interrupt your feed with yet another of my random genshin thought of the day! Recently, on one of Zach's (Aether's VA) streams with Poonam (Klee's VA), one of the viewers mentioned something about Klee driving a mini-car affectionately titled the 'dodocar'. This got the gears in my head turning, and I started thinking about the different modes of transport each character would use. These are some scenarios my brain came up with!! I wanted to send them your way because you always have the loveliest ideas, and wanted to know if you had any more thoughts on the matter! As such, Miss Hazel, today I present to you my offering of Genshin boys as different modes of transport! 💕

Diluc would drive a car. No question about this. I've always imagined him to have a sleek, modern-looking car that's maybe a little bit on the pricier side, but not completely outrageous by any means. The man doesn't really seem like the type who would want to show off his wealth, but he also can't deny that he has an eye for much of the finer things in life.

You watch as Diluc mans the car, watching the rolling hills flash by the window. There's something uniquely intoxicating about sitting in a car with someone else for hours on end. It makes you want to open up to them, makes you want to share stories which you perhaps wouldn't have wanted to share otherwise, much like a drunkard who's had one glass too many and is now blabbering on about their whole life story. Ah, but then again, perhaps this is only so because the two of you were drunk on something else entirely? You didn't know the answer to that question, but as you watched the way his sunset-eyes crinkled with mirth at your terrible, terrible Michael Jackson impression, you think you were okay with never knowing the answer to that question so long as the two of you could stay in this moment forever, just as you were.

Albedo doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would really enjoy driving. Instead, I think his preferred mode of transport would be cycling! He wakes up much earlier every morning because he insists on cycling to work instead of driving. Albedo seems like a very practical sort of fellow. Sure, cycling is more time consuming, but it's efficient, more environmentally friendly, and overall better for his health. That makes it a win in his book.

On the weekends though, especially as the weather starts to get warmer and the air is filled with the welcomed promise of spring, Albedo would often take you out for dates in the park on a special tandem-bike. The two of you would cycle around for a while just watching the flowers bloom and the greenery come back to life, before stopping for a quick picnic lunch underneath a grand magnolia tree. You laugh as you move to wipe the little bit of cream from the cake you two just devoured which is still stuck on his upper lip. It's a sweet, saccharine kind of love, one that reminds you of fresh morning-dew and hopeful new beginnings.

Over the summer, you found out that Childe has somehow managed to get his grubby little hands on a jet ski. Uh-oh. He says he wants you to ride it with him. He's saying please. He's giving you the puppy-dog eyes. You cannot say no to that face. You do not know where he got it from or even when he learned how to use a jet ski, but really don't think this is a good idea. Come on, you cannot look at this man and try to convince me that he is not an absolute speed demon. One moment he's showing off cool tricks on the jet-ski and then the next moment he's- oh JESUS CHRIST CHILDE SLOW THE FUCK DOWN, SOMEONE'S GONNA FALL!!

Thankfully, he's a skilled enough driver that everything went relatively smoothly. This time, at least. As he stops the vehicle to give you that dopey little grin and make sure you're still alive, you take a moment to playfully hit him on the shoulder for making your heart race a million miles an hour. He only laughs. Still, it was exhilirating. And you would never admit it to his face, but he does look kind of cool showing off tricks on the water. Maybe this wasn't such a terrible idea after all.

Kaeya is a proud owner of a motorcycle. Specfically, he owns one of those lovely old-school 1980's Honda motorcycles. The people living in your neighbourhood almost went mad the moment they saw him pull up at your door with, complete with dark sunglasses and a leather jacket. You thought he looked rather stupid. Still, you were glad that he brought his bike with him. It made it easier to traverse the city traffic and get to your destination quicker.  Kaeya takes you out on a ride to one of his favourite destinations for a midnight snack: a night market, filled with rows and rows of stalls selling piping hot food. You hop from stall to stall, sharing the food and tasting everything the market has to offer together before heading back with a full heart and a full stomach.

There's a sense of youthful freedom that comes with taking late-night rides with your beau like this. Your arms around his waist, the wind billowing past your face, the moonlight reflecting the stars in his eyes... It makes you feel young again, makes you feel as though you were seventeen once more, discovering the thrills of love for the very first time. You've missed this. You've missed him. Sighing contentedly against his shoulder, you silently watch the blinking city lights fade in and out of view as you drive through the city that never sleeps.

Zhongli... Has no vehicle of his own. He's broke, your honour. Sorry Zhongli, I don't make the rules here. Thankfully, he lives in a city with a great public transport system, so he has no issues getting around if he needs to. The lack of personal vehicles also means he gets to spend more time walking with you, an activity which he has grown to really enjoy, so I suppose there is a silver lining after all. The two of you often work rather late, so the streets were usually barren by the time you leave the office. You and Zhongli would often walk to the train station together after your shifts have ended, basking in the stillness of the night and the almost alien glow of fluorescent lights.

He loves chatting with you during these walks. He would ask you questions about your day, about your work, about plans for the weekend. Sometimes he would point out the different types of plants and rocks he noticed on your walk to the station. In the train, the two of you would sit silently together, content to just enjoy each other's presence. Sometimes, on particularly rough days, you find yourself falling asleep on his shoulder while waiting for your destination. He finds this incredibly endearing, and would always take it as a cue to give you a quick peck on the cheek before tucking you closer to his side.

Sometime later, you two are awoken by the train staff. The both of you had fallen asleep on the train and had missed your stop. Whoops.

i love these! 

I really vibe with the Albedo one too - he’s very practical and pretty frugal, waste isn’t something he seems to enjoy creating so everything eco-friendly would be his go to ( we can be eco-friendly together my dear )

You hoped your date wouldn’t drag you somewhere busy, you didn’t want to be stuck in a crowded restaurant, especially when the weather outside was so nice and warm. You bit your lip and watched the clouds outside.

The doorbell rang which pulled you from your thoughts, opening the door you see..

- Koala waves when you open the door, bright smile and cheery disposition already obvious from the woman.

- She’s wearing a pleated pink skirt, white frilly blouse, a matching pink bolero, sandals, and pink shades which sat in vibrant ginger hair.

- “Hey! Oh wow, you look so cute and we both pinked pink!” She said with a chuckle and offered her hand which you took.

- “I’m Peach, and I love your skirt.” You complimented as she did a little twirl for you.

- “So, I was thinking of going to a museum but the weather is so nice that I decided…” She held up a basket “Picnic in the park?”

- You liked the idea of that, the weather was nice, not too hot, the sun shining, and the air had that pleasant spring to summer vibe.

- Koala was friendly and you felt at ease with her, already walking hand in hand as she chatted about herself, feeling embarrassed when she thought she was talking about herself a little too much.

- You didn’t mind, she was sweet and very interesting.

- She asked you lots of things, there was a very pleasant give and take.

- You liked her voice and how she smiled, she gave you such warm feelings that you felt instantly at ease.

- Arriving at the park she led you to where there was a big old tree, large branches and full of green leaves. She set down the basket and crouched, pulling out a checkerd blanket, you helped her set it out.

- “I didn’t know what you’d like so I kind of made a bunch of different things…” She said as she sat down on the blanket and started to pull out various treats and set them down.

- “Wait.. you made all of this?” you asked as she handed you a paper plate with a napkin. “Oh yeah, can’t trust big companies, me and my friends grow all our vegetables, and I made the bread myself!”

- You were impressed, everything looked lovely, and it was all so tenderly prepared.

- “My friend Sabo made the iced tea, an old family recipe he says, the only good thing about his family he also says” Koala chuckles and brings out a flask and two cups.

- You both sit, eat and drink, she’s funny, she tells a lot of jokes.

- Both talk about your favourite things, she gets very passionate about her political views which you think is important.

- Packing up the picnic and throwing away the easy recycle rubbish, she once again takes your hand and walks with you.

- There’s a live band playing on the bandstand, you walk over and listen for a little before she spots an ice cream vendor.

- Getting a frozen treat you carry on walking around the large lake in the centre of the park, watching the animals.

- Your legs are tired, but you feel pleased with how the date is going.

- She walked you home, opening her basket once more before she handed you a little paper bag “I baked these cookies, I thought you might like to sit and have them with tea or something while you watch one of your movies tonight.”

- You could have cried, your heart skipping a beat.

- She was the sweetest.

- Hugging you goodbye, you parted ways, watching as the sunshine girl with the bright red hair waved.

Summer Troupe Live 2021

For some reason, I thought that these troupe lives would be formulaic, that they’d all be similar to Spring’s, just different songs. But I was wrong.

I’m not sure if it was because Spring 2021 was Masumi’s actor’s last performance, or if Harugumi’s vibe is just nostalgia or what (since it’s the season of beginnings), but I felt like Spring Troupe Live was trying really hard to give the audience the feels and make them cry. And it worked. But the vibe for Natsugumi was so different! In this one, the overall vibe was just, fun. Everything was just so stinking cute and so so fun.

And throughout the whole performance, you could tell that the actors were having so much fun, and just. I love Natsugumi so much because of their bond, you know? And their bond was just so prevalent throughout the whole show.

All of the new songs in their album are so much fun. My personal favorite was Tenma’s. Just. The way that they coordinated everything, you can just see that Tenma treasures Natsugumi so so so much.

Just like in Spring, they remixed a previous song.

So similar to Spring, there’s a mini storyline, but this time, there was no mention of a new member. Instead, the focus was on Tenma, who seemed to be acting really down/stressed after one of his drama shootings. This really worries the others. Yuki happened to take a peek at a script, and discovered that it was in a school setting. Misumi surmises that since Tenma never had an everyday, mundane school life, this is something that saddens him, because it’s something he’ll never truly experience. And Misumi can relate (that Misumi angst though). So Kazunari thinks of a plan to give Tenma, that everyday school life.

Omg guys, this is so funny. Kazunari in a gakuen with a soccer ball, being the friend role. Yuki in a sailor uniform playing the crush. And then MUKU! MUKU’S IN A POMPADOUR PLAYING THE YANKEE!!! This had me rolling!!!

And then Misumi gives Tenma a school blazer so that the both of them can experience the everyday school life and proceeds to break out into a song. A remix of Sankaku wa Sekai wo Sukuu (or Triangles Save the World). And it’s so cute. 

To kill time while the actors are changing, Matsukawa does another Mankai sketch with Sakoda, but Sakoda isn’t on stage. Instead, he’s on zoom. So they’re Remote Tempa(Curly Hair) Yankee! And. Major props to Matsukawa because he had to execute perfect timing to act with Sakoda’s pre-recording. It was very well done.

And the background dancers are the same as Spring Troupe Live! They’re so cute and they definitely will start to grow on you. I hope they’re the same for the other lives too!

Ok. But let me talk about my absolute fave part of this performance. At the end, all the actors bow, and then leave, save for Tenma. His back is towards the audience, and he’s about to leave too. But just before he does, he points to the sky. Showing off just one finger, then he opens his hand to show off five. It’s super symbolic to show that he used to be alone, and now there’s the five of them. And it’s just. Absolutely so sweet. I have so many feelings.

Overall, just watching Summer Troupe Live is enough to give you a good time. So if you guys want to watch, I highly recommend it!
