Hello I made you some more art!! IDK Why your little guys have just stuck in my brain as of late but yeah I'm just on a roll I guess!

This piece was inspired by wondering who was present around Machete's assassination, and how people around him would react to his downfall. So I had the idea for a portrait of a final lover's embrace, as Vasco holds his dying beloved in bloodsoaked arms.

I tried my best with the clothing -- especially the shoes -- and I think I did a pretty good job but BOY were they hard! XD Anyways, I hope you like this one, it was a blast to draw! I love machete sm istg <3

(This post is heavymedic btw, I'm not doing an actual analysis XD) (ISTG IF TUMBLR MESSES UP HOW I PUT THE PICTURES AGAIN I'M GETTING MAD)

I just wanted to tell u all the way I see the Meet the Medic video and the way Heavy and Medic interact, headcanons n stuff:3

1-

Look at them. I like to Imagine that this trailer is the first time heavy and medic actually interact in a friendly way. I believe that Heavy and Medic didn't interact in any way besides professional stuff until this trailer, so Medic is trying to be cool and funny, trying to impress heavy; while heavy is just enjoying the moment, enjoying himself and making a new friend (And after, a new husband).

(The way medic uses his body(hands) to express himself makes him look so friendly and silly, and the way his hands are animated (the way he holds heavy's heart) IS SO DETAILED???)

2-

first, look at this part. The way medic looks at heavy, with shinning eyes, a smirk, one of his eyebrows being lifted up. He just wants to impress heavy (in my opinion), he wants to look cool, the cool doktor dude, and heavy, of course, agrees with that.

Heavy is happy to be there, to listen to medic. He really likes him, indeed.

They are having quite a nice moment, but then!...

They get interrumpted!. Medic was way too focused on being cool and friendly, and of course, on heavy; While heavy was focused on his new (boy)friend. Medic is now distracted and can't be the cool dude!! (Archimedes you're embarrassing him!)

3-

Medic looks really pissed, like how a kid would be pissed on his mom walking in while they're playing in the room with a friend they invited over XD. He even look a lil frustrated because his lil child interrumpted his (date) meeting.

(I'm so sad there isn't a good frame where medic n heavy are angry at archimedes, but anyway.) I love this so much. The way they look so pissed because archimedes interrupted them xD ; Heavy is more like, annoyed, than angry or pissed, but anyway.

4-

I absolutely love how OFFENDED heavy looks when Medic calls his insides filthy; and how 😨 Medic looks.

I feel like in medic's mind, he just fucked up; he insulted his (crush) NEW FRIEND?! He can't believe he just said THAT?!, after all, heavy's insides are beautiful and clean! 🙄

5-

Medic now is just INSANE, but EXCITED!. He enjoys this moment... He just let his real personality put. Heavy looks concerned and confused, but he is clearly not judging. It is just new for him and he's learning about medic.

(WHY YOUR LEGS SPREAD OPEN LIKE THAT GIRL CALM DOWN) medic is enjoying himself a lot here, he almost looks like he has completely forgotten heavy's presence (me when I'm talking about my hyperfixations suddenly forgetting about people's right to speak lmaooo); in the other hand, heavy looks kinda... Uncomfortable, but even so, he's trying to play along, laughing (even if it's awkwardly).

Btw, THE WAY medic's hands (specifically his fingers) are animated it's SO COOL!! He's holding everything so ~ peacfully ~ I LOVE IT.

Just look at his expression and the moment. The way medic is smirking with his eyebrow up; while he has the blood of his (LOVER) new friend all over him... In my opinion, this part is when Medic accidentally reveals his actual personality, how crazy he is (for heavy). If I was heavy I would've DIED. (Literally).

I had to giggle here, cuz it just reminded me of what she said in S1:

I am SCREAMING at the cinematic poetry--Louis is talking about not burning Lestat, as Lou & Claud can't get warm enough at a fire where they're burning the dead Soviets they just ate.

While Claudia sits there giving Lou the cold shoulder & the silent treatment, icing him out so Louis only talks to himself--I HOLLERED.

My daughter KNOWS!!! DRAG HIM, CLAUDIA!! ^0^

But then I cried, cuz WAIT. If Louis is talking to himself, is this also factoring into why he's seeing DreamStat? Cuz Lou's also desperate for connection, which he can't get from Claudia anymore either! 😭

Louis said DreamStat "came by invitation," as a colorful & vibrant "distraction" (read: comfort) from the dull monochromatic grey Eastern European land. But Lestat is bloodsplattered & filthy just like everyone else.

The question of his guilty conscience: what does Lestat feel/think about Louis? And what is Louis projecting?

That's all Louis wants to hear--that Les misses him and forgives him.

"I'm glad it was you...a la fin." We still need confirmation that Lou slit Les's throat, not Claudia. Cuz this will also point to how much Lou is lying to himself about how betrayed Lestat really felt--that his death would be better by Lou's hands than Claudia's. Is Lou making himself feel better by giving Les the coup de gras, and thinking Les is grateful to him for it?

Cuz he's clearly scared to death that WHEN--not IF--they reunite, Les will be pissed and hate/kill him.

Cuz Lestat's love was what kept Louis alive--Lestat loving Louis saved/damned Louis' life. (The Merrick of it all, istg.)

So it's WILD that Louis thinks this. That the split second Louis finds happiness, the boogeyman Lestat will come and kill him, or take it from him--or just be there as a hallucination constantly reminding Louis of what he left behind.

As an aside:

It was a BAT--that's cute! XD

Louis in denial as he tells himself choosing Claudia over Lestat was worth it. And Dream!Stat chanting "I do" like frikkin wedding vows, then choking on the words/vows as a vampire bat claws out of his throat--I CANNOT with this show anymore.

This is interesting--the 7000 people he killed in Eastern Europe were a necessary evil--Lou calls them "souls," when Les called them "the Meat" and Claudia called them "Kill Juice." And in Paris he only kills once every other day. They ALL feel like murder to Louis. But Louis KNOWS he never killed Lestat!

He put Lestat in the dump the same way Grace put his name on that tombstone--it's the DISTANCE that's killing them.

It's separation & absence, which they HOPE will make the heart grow colder--when we all know that's not how the saying actually goes.

So who are you REALLY fooling, Louis? Cuz it for sure ain't Claudia!

She said "you slow us down!" 💀 But Louis warned you: "I can barely speak French and English. I'd just hold you back.... You don't need me. You think you do, but you don't. You're smarter now. The pupper ever!! Also two other people asked for Chase while I was already working on it XD I'm sorry it's taking me literally days to get them all done, I'm having trouble to think properly on what to say for some stuff in these

My first impression - I'm not tanking this. His car is blue and white, he's a cop and HIS NAME IS CHASE. HMMMM WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE, OH I WONDER--

My impression now - He's precious. No, really. A+ for effort in everything he does but he should learn to relax a little more, just a liiiiiiiittle more

Favorite thing about that character - He's always willing to try new things out of his comfort zone and he always gives it his best, plus his loyalty levels are off the charts

Least favorite thing - He's too much of a people pleaser Istg-- Chase, sweetheart, you're supposed to be a figure of authority XD And this will sound like a dumb thing to dislike but I dislike the fact he's a German Shepherd. I think it's too obvious a breed for police dogs and he doesn't LOOK like one at all for me. When I first saw him without his gear, I was like "Wait is he a Belgian Malinois??? Omg please yes that would be cool to not have a German Shepherd as a Police Dog for ONCE" but yeah my dreams were crushed quickly on my first Google Search on him

Favorite line/scene - It's not specifically the line, but mostly the scene: Have you EVER seen Chase refuse a job or go against Ryder???

I know he ended up changing his mind after that talk with Ryder, but IN THIS MOMENT, he stood his ground and said NO. It's even in his body language: His ears are slightly back, his expression is serious like "don't even try arguing with me on this", his tail isn't relaxed, his paw stomping on the floor to make his point. Notice his frown even deepens as the elevator door closes just before it goes down. This is SO IMPORTANT to me you have no idea, especially considering how much of a people pleaser Chase is and how he holds Ryder as the most important person in his life. We know Chase would do anything for Ryder. But at this exact moment? He was decided to NOT do something for Ryder. This is such a powerful, yet overlooked and underrated scene, as well as character development. It encapsulates perfectly how there's so much more to Chase than any of us knew so far.

Favorite interaction that character has with another - Mighty Movie Skase moment #2 (I think? I counted at least 4 big moments) when Chase goes to check on Skye when she was sulking on the back of the Aircraft Carrier. Her problems there are totally out of his league, he literally cannot relate to anything she's currently going or went through in the past- still he tries to show support the only way he can at the moment, by being there for her, by listening to her. He's a keeper, Skye, go for it XD

A character that I wish that character would interact with more - Marshall and Zuma. They used to play a lot before, but now...? I'm still at the 8th season and I'm seriously missing those fun and slice of life moments

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character - Leonardo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, specifically 2012 series

A headcanon about that character - I think Chase was one of those kind of puppies who just didn't know when to fucking STOP. 24/7 playful baby. Also a natural explorer, always sniffing everything, licking everything, maybe biting, touching, scratching, growling, barking at anything new for a while. Ever curious, always being the puppy to go ahead of the others, "exploring the waters to open the way and make sure it's safe for the others to come after him". On a second note, I've seen one too many people returning adopted puppies for this reason here where I live, because "they're a handful and I wasn't expecting this" 🤦🏽‍♀️

I actually had the same thing happen with Miquella himself briefly! I even wrote this silly post about it (ignore the addition skdjfhd).

Because even though I still wouldn’t say, like I mentioned to you the other day, that I consider myself part of the Elden Ring fandom (yet), I was still surrounded by this tension over whether he was “good or evil.” I personally just wanted to see what the DLC decided because I was unsure from the base game alone if Miquella was going to still be the welcoming Haligtree ruler that we saw remnants of. I was wondering if he would be different or change!

But the toxicity of the two warring sides that took different stances on his morality started to get to my head and I even briefly was annoyed with poor Miquella ajshdjs. Starting to not like him because of fandom!

I can this happening with you and Leda, which now you see, I can’t even judge! I also used to not like Alfred briefly because he was worshipped as a “chad” by gamerbros for beating an “evil” but totally defenseless woman to death ;-;

But I DO think this curse of psychological association can be broken since I see the appeal of both Miquella and Alfred now! I had to separate them from fandom like one would separate art from artist.

I don’t want to fall prey to this curse either, but I don’t think it’s an unreasonable thing to feel either xD

Our best bet for these types of characters is that fandom calms down eventually and it becomes easier to appreciate them for how Miyazaki and his team wrote them! I do actually love Alfred and Miquella both now.

The problem is... Miquella, Maria and Malenia and so on are the characters who might feel "ruined" for anyone with basic compassion or different takes or both because of how their obnoxious, fanatical toxic 'mean girl' simps act about them! They draw association with behaviour so revolting that people dislike them for the type of fans they attract! Radahn (and apparently Alfred?!) turn out to be the same problem from Reddittube side of the fandom instead, where people dislike the guy because of association with the fans who act all arrogant and even misogynistic!

Needle Knight Leda, on the other hand, is not a character who had the bad luck of attracting abhorrent kind of fans that will shun and insult """unworthy""" fans for the awful sins of different takes, different ships and god knows what else. Leda IS this kind fans! And, again: Alfred, Lautrec, Adella and Queelign are the same type of a person. The one who is cleansing the world from "unworthy" people, in the name of their idol/religion/both! However, she does not like just some big religious figure and is insane about them... She happens to like the EXACT character who DOES attract awful fans! Miquella HAS this effect on the fans! People with unflattering takes on him are chill and are just doing stuff that makes them happy without being passive-aggressive or toxic to anyone. But it is the people who idolise him and insist that he is kind who feel entitled to separate "right" kind of fans from "wrong".

Miquella, Maria and Malenia are one problem: attracting the worst kind of fans, thus being associated with those fans. Alfred, Lautrec, Adella and Queelign are another problem: unlikeable (save for sexual, appeal but that's it) character who "cleanses" the world from "impure" people for whatever idol dared to tarnish their light with their existence. I can deal with one of these problems as you could tell.. LEDA IS SOMEHOW UNPRECEDENTED CASE OF BOTH OF THESE THINGS AT ONCE.

I really don't want to find my first Soulsborne character I'd be unable to tolerate, especially after I've survived literal nervous attacks down to nausea after learning about Dung Eater and stuff like that fghfds Everyone deserves a chance at examination and interest because they're characters, they're not real!! It is just hard because my monkey brain automatically translates as much as fans liking Leda into 'hey btw I approve of Miq fanatics behavior in the fandom :)))'. Knowing something is not a rational reaction doesn't necessarily make it go away. But yeah...... eventually I'll separate her from the people we all see and hate.

Synopsis

The advent of electric carriages on London's streets causes a stir – until they start careening out of control. Elsewhere, factory workers lose their senses, while a brand-new power plant suffers mysterious outages.

We open with one Jenny Flint buying racing pigeons because Vastra keeps eating the- because the pigeons keep getting out. She also buys a swan for Vastra (which, if you know Brit lore, the Queen owns most of the swans for some reason XD, and this is therefore a big ""Fuck you"" from Vastra to the Queen), when suddenly an electric car without a driver attacks the market. At home in Paternoster Row Vastra checks if Jenny is okay and promptly suggests a 'lie down' together... 😂 The guy making the electric cars owns a factory that quite literally works its workers to death in assembly lines, or absorbs the people's brains. The Gang infiltrates said factory (Strax starts a small war after doing a gloriously funny Cockney impression), trip an alarm, and have to flee. Strax runs through a wall. They try to escape in their carriage, two electric cars chasing them. When the carriage crashes, Strax is prepared to take the cars on in hand to hand combat; he sees it as a tactical advantage for himself that the cars don't have arms. Or so he thinks: the electric cars are actually electric TRANSFORMERS. While Strax rallies the workers to seize the means of production (communist king) and Jenny is prepped to be absorbed (she kicks the lady trying to tie her up and frees herself), Vastra has a talk with Mr Solak that ends in her being electrocuted and temporarily disabled for being IBSANELY mouthy. Solak's transformers are automated enough that he doesn't require any more workers, and he plans to absorb the brains of everyone in London with his factory he's made mobile. Well, they manage to escape and get caught AGAIN (they're that skilled istg) they try to absorb Strax as well, and while Vastra talks to Solak and distracts him, Strax takes advantage of the high voltage they connected him to and uses the energy to recharge himself properly. A hilarious audio to kick off the fiest boxset, though not without its serious moments. The concept is insane tho and I love tha. (@jennyandvastraflint )

So, in S01E03, Ho-yeol gets injured and he is whining a lot. Acting like he can't move and hanging onto Jun-ho more than anything else. But then the DPs from Busan show up and suddenly he is moving like he has never felt pain in the first place. 😂😂 Istg, that had to have been an excuse to be close don't you think? xD

But something else entirely, when he wants to show Jun-ho the cobra twist and tells him to give him his hand, Jun-ho doesn't even question it. He didn't know what would happen, but Ho-yeol asked for his hand and Jun-ho happily obliged, no hesitation. Not gonna mention how unimpressed our cutie Private An was with the move and that he corrected Ho-yeol's form which was so hilarious 🤣🤣

hoyeol LOVES to act overdramatic and we love him for that <3 his special skills include whining and complaining and acting like the most miserable guy on earth... anything to get a day off lmao

and junho.. he lets hoyeol do everything he wants. no explanation needed, he just trusts him. like in this scene:

he's clearly amused by his bullshit (talking abt running a talent agency) but he doesn't stop him either from talking or from touching his face like that. and that's what i love about them - hoyeol is a talkative guy so people often tell him to shut up or don't take him seriously. but not junho. junho listens to hoyeol and finds him trustworthy :')
