"yes??? why wouldnt there be enough? i only invited the two of them for some ice cream and to watch movies." you respond to lando as his eyes widen, "what did you do, lando."

"i swear–no i promise i didnt know it was just supposed to be those two..." he explains as you look at him more, "i may or may have not invited more people besides the two..."

"lando norris!" you yelp out in disbelief, "go."

"go?? go where??" he asks confused.

"go buy more ice cream for the friends you invited." you tell him as he sighs, "quit standing around, go before they come!"

after a few minutes of you stressing out, lando finally arrived with more ice cream in his hands.

"who else did you invite?" you finally ask as he puts the ice cream in the freezer.

"carlos, oscar, max, alex, and lewis." he states their names.

"oh, well thats fine. sorry for getting snappy with you, love." you give him a peck on his cheek, "you know how i am with planning things."

"trust me i do, dont worry about it babe." he tackles you onto the couch as you scream for help.

you and him wrestle each other for a bit until you end up on top of him, straddling his waist.

"i could so do you right now." you blurt out as he cheekily smiles.

"please do." he says as you lean in for a kiss but it gets interrupted with a doorbell.

"awhh, too bad." you pull away as you give him a sly look to which he rolls his eyes at.

"obviously. i thought me and george were gonna get closure and therapy after the announcement, not a whole party." charles answers as he laughs, "but i think this is better."

"the more merrier they say..." lando says as he scratches his head.

you give him a peck on the lips as you laugh.

"you guys are lucky charles cried all of his tears during the announcement or hed be bawling right now." carlos says as everyone laughs and looks at charles.

"hey, still quite sensitive to that..." he says as he eats down his ice cream and chokes.

max instantly gets up to pat charles on his back as he keeps on coughing.

"DONT DIE ON ME." you yell as you ran out of the room to get charles a glass of water.

"RUN BABE RUN!!" lando yells out as he slowly panics at how much charles was coughing.

"HERE.." you come back with a glass of water nearly slipping on the way, but it gets to charles safely.

"charles dont die yet, you have to race in monaco." max says as he still pats his back.

"i wo–" he coughs, "i wont." he finally takes a deep breath and stops coughing.

"almost lost a dad there for a sec by his own ice cream brand" oscar says as everyone laughs especially charles.

"you almost really did." he says as he finally eases down, "anyways, what are we watching tonight." he asks as you chuckle at his attempt at changing the subject.

"you can pick since you almost saw the light." you say.

"yeah mate, youre lucky max got your back. like quite literally." lewis says max laughs.

after a few minutes of thinking, charles finally picked a movie that he thinks everyone would enjoy.

(we know that Luke doesn't drink coffee but imagine he is dating a girl who drinks a little bit more than she should. i didn't know how to end it and it is kinda short I just wanted to put something out for yall.i am still healing after reading "before we were strangers" i hope you guys like it. <3 <3)

it was an average day in the life of a hockey player in the off-season; Luke was up with the sun to get ready for a day of training and decided to make his sleeping girlfriend a coffee to start her day with before he left for the morning; placing her coffee on the nightstand and waking her up by planting kisses all over her face "Good morning beautiful I made you coffee." her eyes were still closed, but she was smiling "Thank you lukey it is indeed a good morning. She opened her eyes to see his face and took a sip of her coffee "mmhh perfect I love you." dramatically flopping back onto the bed to put on a show for how good the coffee tastes making Luke giggle.

"I have to go, but I will see you later maybe we up meet for lunch if you are up for it." Y/n sits up to say goodbye." That works for me; love you see you later yeah?" Luke leans down to meet her lips " See you later baby I love you" leaving her to get ready for the day he texts her that he will call when he is on the way to the restaurant they go to all the time. When he shows up she is sitting in a booth and a straw in her mouth sipping on an iced coffee when she sees him she smiles and he leans down to kiss her forehead and then her lips before sitting across from her. "Hello handsome" she smiled at him "Hi baby you look beautiful today. I like that dress." looking down at her cream-colored dress with little red roses that he got for her as a gift for a date night last summer.

"thank you, my boyfriend, got it for me." she joked "Did he? he must have known how good you look in dresses." he flirted back with her making her blush at his compliment. Taking her in he noticed her shakey hands as she put her now empty coffee down why does she do this to herself he thought as he grabbed her shaking hands " I thought we talked about cutting back your coffee intake" he said kinda sternly this being the second time this month they are having this conversation. y/n looked at her empty glass before speaking " I know we have I just wanted a pick-me-up I will slow down lukey don't fret."

And as much as he would like to not "fret" she makes it hard when most days she will have two cups of coffee before she has had a meal and walks around dizzy from too much caffeine. " did you even eat breakfast?" her silence tells him all he needs to know "Y/n are you kidding me you have to stop doing that it is not healthy." y/n sighed " I know I will stop I promise"

The next day before Luke leaves He brings her tea instead of coffee "Luke." she says staring up at him but he doesn't back down "Y/n" she deflates against the headboard " Luke I hate tea." he pushes the hair that has fallen in her face behind her ear and hands her the mug " just try it you won't know until you actually give it a chance." she rolls her eyes and took a tiny sip her face contorted in disgust " Luke it so bad." he rolled his eyes at dramatic reaction " baby you can't keep drinking coffee like its water you will run yourself to an early grave; will you give it a chance it might make you feel better instead of making you crash after every cup."

Y/n had cut down to one small cup in the morning and tea when she needed a pick-me-up and both Y/n and Luke had noticed a difference; she slept better at night and surprisingly she had more energy throughout the day and Luk didn't have to worry about her dizzy spells anymore.

“Hurry up!”

“I’m sorry I know I’m late, just leave without me, I can drive there, I promise.”

“What are you even doing?” Luca came into his sister’s room to see craft supplies all over her room, flung from her suitcase. Her cutting board was on the ground, she had pens all over her desk, flower stems surrounding her on the floor, and her scissors were so close to stabbing her as they laid on the wooden surface. 

When Luca noticed the scissors, he quickly ran over and grabbed them to keep from stabbing the girl, not like it would’ve done that much damage in Violet’s mind. “I’m making Adam’s present.”

“V, I’m sure he’s not going to care if he gets his bouquet now or later.” Luca sits on her bed fiddling with the sheets. 

“He might not care, but I do. And somehow I’m missing a flower, I have to go and get another amaryllis. Just go without me, I’ll be there.”

Luca didn’t look all too happy that his sister would be driving by herself despite having her license and he knew she was more than capable of driving. He went to offer to stay with her but she shut him down with a look, “No. Go.”

The boy sighed and walked out of her room, getting in the car with his brother and parents. Violet sighed to herself as she fumbled around her room for her flower cutters, packing up everything she needed. She threw her dress on, ensuring her hair and makeup looked decent enough to go out before driving to the nearest flower shop.

She had driven to Nashville because she needed the road trip and both Luca and Adam had come along. If there was one thing she loved, it was road trips but road trips with someone else were always better than by herself. 

After buying the last small bouquet of blood-red amaryllis from the store, she rushed to her car and began finishing the bouquet. When she finished she grinned to herself feeling accomplished, until she looked at the time. She lightly placed the bouquet down alongside the present that she got from Adam in the passenger seat before driving to the venue, humming along to whatever was on the radio. 

She flew into a parking stall and all but ran into the venue, smiling and waving at the people she passed. When she entered she felt safer, and when she showed her ID she was allowed in and went to find Adam and the rest of her family. 

She was texting her mom when she ran into someone, apologies coming out of her mouth, one after another, “I am so sorry! Totally my fault! I’m sorry, so sorry.”

The boy she ran into had stumbled a bit but didn’t look too bothered, “It’s okay.”

“Are you sure because I was not looking where I was going.” Violet looked around, “I actually have no clue where I am right now.”

When Violet looked at the boy, her brows furrowed, “You look familiar.” 

He reached out his hand for her to shake, “I’m Connor.”

“Oh, you’re the one who’s in line to get drafted to the Hawks. I’m Violet, Adam Fantilli’s little sister.”

“Oh, Adam! Yeah, I met him a little bit ago.” Connor smiled at Violet, “Do you need some help? You look lost, and you also just said you were.”

Connor reached his hand up to rub the back of his neck, looking awkward. Violet held a big grin, “I would love it. I’m just trying to find my family.”

Connor gestured to the way he was walking, “I’ll take you to where we’re sitting.”

They didn’t get far when they saw two figures running toward the two, “Violet!”

Violet waved, “Hey guys.”

Connor looked at the two brothers and frowned slightly knowing that their conversation would be ending, “Connor was helping me find you two.”

Adam looked at him, “Thanks, man.”

The boy nodded, “Yeah, of course. I’ll see you later then?” Violet nodded and so did Adam before Connor walked off. 

“Oh, here Adam.” Violet gave Adam both the bouquet and the present she had gotten him, “Thanks, V.”

Adam hugged his younger sister, kissing her on the head. He then brought Luca into the hug and sighed, “Thank you guys for being here.”

“Of course.”

When they announced Connor’s name, Violet did more than politely clap. Her clap was louder than her brothers which caused some looks but they didn’t pay much mind to the girl. They just thought she was anxiously waiting for Adam to get drafted.

She had to sit on her hands as they called out Leo’s name who got drafted to the Ducks. She let her face slip briefly before her usual grin was back on her face. When the Blue Jackets had their pick in, she reached over to hold each of her brothers’ hands, nervous, “...we are proud to select, Adam Fantilli.”

Adam was the first to stand, followed by everyone else. Violet let Adam hug their parents and Luca first before she hugged him, “I’m really proud of you, Adam.”

“Thanks, V.”

He handed her his jacket before walking down the steps and to the stage. The four others stood with smiles on their faces, all of them had tears in their eyes for various reasons but most of them because of how proud they were of the boy. 

Violet wandered off not long after that in hopes she would run into Connor again, and to her luck, she did. Much like the first time, she ran directly into it, “We have got to stop meeting like this.”

“I don’t know, I kind of like when you catch me from falling,” Violet smirked, causing Connor to blush. 

“Trying to find Adam again?” 

She shook her head, “No. You actually.”

“Oh?”

“I was hoping to get your number.”

That was all it took for Connor to reach into his pocket and grab his phone, handing it to the girl. She handed him her phone, and the two exchanged their numbers and socials as well. And ever since then, they talked every day, finding out random facts about each other and their plans for the summer.

a post about fic updates! so the fics im currently juggling are dog teeth, tams, and of course, taob. my original plan was to start posting the second installment of the dog teeth series by sometime in april, bc it's the fic im most into atm and i already have the first chapter done, i just want to bank another one or two because once i start posting it i want to KEEP posting it with regular updates, hopefully every 2 weeks like with kaiein. HOWEVER this will put my atla fics on a back burner. april is a good writing time for me (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE) bc i have the entire month off from uni to prep for may exam season, and i always want to write when im procrastinating my degree. which is. it's own thing im sure i'll graduate it's fine i'm fine. so if i focus on dog teeth, neither tams nor taob will get focus until like. june. which is par for the course with taob but im NOT happy about doing with tams.

SO my thought process was i can either be normal about this and just accept it's literally my final year at uni and im trying to graduate and it doesn't matter if updates are slow on ANY fics, or i can do my usual and implement an insane deadline that i somehow always make by the skin of my teeth. can you guess what i went with?

and thus i present unto the crowd my tentative plan: have the next taob chapter done by middle of april (im aware this is quite hand-wavey but it gives me a month to work with, so in my head this means anything between april 10th-20th), have the next tams chapter done by the end of april, and dog teeth can follow.

Hey y'all. So, you guys might have noticed that I've been kinda inactive/not responding to messages quickly. I wanted to apologize, but also warn that this might not get better soon?

The main reasons I haven't been responding is because either, my wrists are hurting so bad that I can't type for long (or my other chronic pain is acting up), I'm so tired that I can't think of interacting, I'm helping out my family, or I'm having a bad episode(?) (Not entirely what's going on on those days, to be real)

I'm sorry, but I do have a happier note!! I want to say, thank you all so much if you have messaged me, interacted with me, reblogged from me, anything, recently. It makes these days so much lighter, makes me so much happier, even if I can't respond.

And to my friends who message me frequently: thank you. I love you all so, so much. I really really want to reply soon hopefully, but in the meantime know that you guys are so sweet, so fun, so awesome, and I love you 💙💙
