This week, for our first 'loyal reader,' we had a chance to chat with Ennie, a very enthusiastic and passionate reader. Keep reading to find out what she has to say about her start in the fandom to her favorite story.

KCL: For our first question we would like you to introduce yourself! What's your name or alias? And could you mention your username?

Ennie: Hi! My name is Ennie and my tumblr username is @enniec123.

KCL: Thank you for allowing us to interview you. We are really excited about this. So let’s jump in with this question: how and when did you join the Klaroline fandom?

Ennie: Yeah, of course! I joined the Klaroline fandom because my friend is really into the show and had been telling me to watch it for a long time, so I binged all 3 shows in spring 2020.

Before watching the show, I knew the bare minimum, which was that he's a bad guy and she's a good guy, very black and white. I also knew that Klaroline was a thing and was kinda confused as to how they could be together because they were on opposite sides. Keep in mind, I knew basically nothing, and I had only really read friends to lovers ships before watching the show. Next, I watched the iconic 3x11 scene, then immediately saw why they were so loved and jumped on board so fast.

KCL: Would you say after watching the memorable 3x11 scene, that it was what drew you to Klaus and Caroline ship? Could you explain what exactly drew you in?

Ennie: 3x11 is definitely what drew me into them. In my opinion, there was nothing really platonic about that whole scene. First of all, the words he used and the way he said them were really soft and different compared to what we had seen before. Until this point, we knew him as the ruthless killer, then he becomes softer and is telling her that there is a huge world out there, waiting to be explored. The other part was that he leaned in really close while talking, and he could have put his blood in a glass and give it to her, but instead, he offered his arm, brought her close, and stroked her hair.

KCL: You answered that beautifully! Their first scene together is definitely one of the most popular ones here in the fandom! After falling in love with the Klaus and Caroline ship, do you remember the first story you've read?

Ennie: I was kind of shocked that I remembered which fic brought me into reading more Klaroline, it feels like it was forever ago, not 9-ish months. Before TVD, I was reading Gendrya fics from the GOT universe, and I knew that as soon as I started reading Klaroline fics I would not be reading other fics anymore. So, I waited a few months after finishing the show, and I think around August/September-ish I saw that one of my fav Gendrya writers also wrote 3 Klaroline fics. Then I was like "ok, maybe ill read them and see what happens."

My first fic was either Right Place, Wrong Time or When Life Changes by @psychvamp25. Then I binged all of @honestgrins one-shot/drabbles. Everything snowballed from there, and here we are today.

Right Place, Wrong Time is the fic that made me start to love time travel fics and the viking era fics. When Life Changes made me love the period fics and the ones that they were together for a long time. Then I read @bellemorte180's Original Caroline fic and I was a goner. Original Caroline is definitely one of my favorite tropes.

KCL: It's impressive that you still remember your first story! And it seems like you have spent a lot of time reading. On average, what would you say is the number of hours you have spent reading stories?

Ennie: It honestly depends on how busy I am. I like to binge stories, and read till like 2 am. I know it's a very bad habit, and I am working on it. If I am busy then maybe 1 hour-ish during the day and 2 at night so 1-3 hours. If I have a break in school, then I would read for an entire day. If I have more time while it's a school week, then maybe 3-8 hours a day, sometimes more depending on how late I stay up… I realize now that I have a problem. Yikes. A lot basically.

KCL: That's nothing to feel bad about! We’re sure that there are many others who are on the same boat as you, we certainly are! Since you do a lot of reading, do have any favourite authors? Could you share a couple of them?

Ennie: I have so many favorite authors. Here are a few: @galvanizedfriend (Yokan), coveredincolors, @honestgrins (honestgrins), @helpless-in-sleep (perfectpro), @helpfulfairy (helpfulfairy92), @lalainajanes (LalainaJ), @misssophiachase (misssophiachase), @klarolineagainnaturally (klarolineagainnaturally), @bellemorte180 (bellemorte180) and @lynyrdwrites (LynyrdLionheart).

This was really hard to choose.

KCL: We are so lucky to have so many talented authors in this community, where we can always enjoy reading new or rereading stories from them. Before we dive into your favorite story, what are you currently reading so we can add it to our reading list?

Ennie: I am currently rereading Endlessly by @slstmaraudersjple. Another one of my favies.

KCL: Thank you for sharing! We will definitely be checking it out. So far, you have mentioned your first stories and your favorite authors, but what would you say is your favorite KC story?

Ennie: Only Human by @peacefulvillagefairone is one of my favorite fics. Besides The Wolf 2, I will say this is definitely my favorite story.

KCL: We love that story too! It’s one of our favorites! In your own words, could you give us a brief summary of the story?

Ennie: I suck at summaries because I end up spoiling it, but I will try my best.

Caroline is human and wants to know more about Klaus because he doesn't open up a lot to her. She gets sent back in time to when the originals were human. From that point on, she goes on an adventure to try to get back to her time but not before trying to dodge trouble that comes her way.

KCL: That was such a great summary! And what was it that you loved about the author’s writing style?

Ennie: In my opinion, the story is very light. There is a lot of fluff but there is also a lot of plot. It's centered around time traveling and I really love that. It's about the adventures that they go on and how Caroline gets to see different versions of Klaus.

I think that the fic is a fun ride. It's a non-thinking story which I really enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, I love really analytical fics that make me think a lot, but when your brain needs a break from real life and you don't want to think a lot then this fic is perfect. There are some mysteries in the fic that make you think but it gets revealed soon and there are a lot of hints so it's a fun mystery to solve without deep diving into it.

KCL: Our next question is what made you fall in love with the story? Was it the chemistry between Klaus and Caroline? The conflict in the story or maybe the character arcs?

Ennie: I thought that it was a different story because it starts with Klaus and Caroline getting together when she was human and then time traveling. I loveeeee domestic and established kc and the fic shows them being physically together but not mentally together if that makes sense.

The fic shows the progression of their trust and how deeply they fall in love with each other. While I do love fics that start with them not together, sometimes I want a long fic with a lot of fluff. This story has a balance of plot and fluff. It's a beautiful story. It's on the longer side but it makes me really happy. If I'm feeling down, then I skip around the fic to reread my favorite parts.

KCL: We agree! We enjoy a good story of Klaus and Caroline in a domestic setting too. And for our last question, what would you want to say to readers who haven't read your favorite story yet?

Ennie: I hope you read it and it brings you joy and satisfaction like it did to me.

Thank you for creating such amazing stories. Only Human has a special place in my heart. It was one of the first fics I have ever read and I am in love with the plotline. Time travel fics are so fun and you wrote it beautifully. I can't spoil anything for the fic but I really love a certain someone. I think that he is such a good character and the matchmaking cracked me up. The convos between present and past were so amazing. The characterizations were on point. The story is so fluffy and full of plot and it makes me so happy when I read it. When Klaus, Caroline, and the OC are together, it's so sweet. I loooovvveeeee their moments, esp the ending. The story has so many of my favorite tropes all wrapped up in 120k words *chefs kiss* Thank you once again for creating this masterpiece and sharing it with the world. 💖

On the morning of their charity gig, Lizzie woke to a blissfully cool morning and an overcast sky. She turned in her bed and indulged in another moment of sleepiness before sitting up.

She hadn’t slept as badly as last night in a long while. After their discussion at the pool, Orion had been restless and had preferred to keep himself busy with working, meditating or whatever else it was that he was doing to ‘find his balance again’. So Lizzie had left him to it and had spent her evening with the rest of her friends.

It wasn’t like Lizzie wasn’t used to sleeping alone anymore; since their tour had started, she had made sure to get back to her room instead of staying with Orion every night. The hotels they were staying in were busy and she didn’t want anyone to see her leaving his room first thing in the morning.

But still, going to bed without so much as talking to him had been strange; Lizzie was surprised at how used she had become to having someone to unwind with.

On the other hand, Lizzie knew how much events like the one ahead were affecting Orion. He usually had a good grip on the events of his childhood but being confronted with his memories in such a direct way tended to unsettled him. If he needed his space, who was she to deny it to him.

Lizzie yawned as she got out of bed and changed into her workout gear, glancing glumly at the alarm clock on her nightstand; it had gotten late last night and she hated early mornings as much as the next person. But Orion would already be up for his morning round of yoga and she had promised she would join him.

Lizzie couldn’t help but shake her head at this retrospectively stupid idea. She did enjoy doing yoga, and especially together with Orion; it worked wonders on her flexibility and chronically sore muscles. Could she have her way, though, afternoon yoga would be just as fine. If it cheered Orion up, however, she would just have to bite the bullet.

As it turned out, Lizzie could have stayed in bed for all that it was worth. Orion remained silent throughout the flow, but it was not his usual serene calm; instead, he surrounded himself with a melancholy mood that was uncharacteristic for him. Lizzie did manage to cheer him up with a little extended exercise after they were done, but even then she could tell a part of Orion’s mind wasn’t with her.

Much to her dismay, his restlessness had rubbed off on her as well. Lizzie felt a nervous energy course through her body, which usually only got hold of her right before a show was about to begin. Her fingers itched for a practice session on her drums, but those were lying dismantled in their boxes at the arena.

She was still wearing her workout clothes, so she decided to go for a run to channel her energy into something more productive than pacing around her room.

When Lizzie stepped out of the hotel and onto the private parking space, the sky was still clouded, but blue patches could already be seen here and there. Just as she was about to put her headphones on, the sound of her name drew her attention.

“Hey Jameson,” Skye’s voice sounded from across the car park. “Rath and I are going for a run. Wanna come?”

She motioned over to where Erika was standing at the exit to the streets, looking what Lizzie assumed was mildly impatient; it was always a bit tricky to tell with the blonde head of security.

It was nice of Skye to ask, but Lizzie wasn’t in the mood for company. Each of the girls was as competitive as they came in their own right; Lizzie usually never backed down from a challenge, but combined Skye and Erika were too much even for her taste.

“No thanks, go on without me,” Lizzie consequently declined the offer. “I already worked out with Orion.”

Skye grimaced and rolled her eyes. “Spare me the bloody details.”

“Yoga, Skye. We did some yoga,” Lizzie responded wryly. “Get your mind out of the gutter, will you?”

She did make a point to omit the second part of their workout routine, however. Skye didn’t need to know everything after all.

Unsure what to do after Skye and Erika had left, Lizzie turned around and marched back into the building. She couldn’t really go for a run by herself now, so she might as well go on the hunt for some much needed coffee and breakfast.

When Lizzie arrived at the breakfast room, most of her friends were already there. Orion was sitting with Merula at a table in the far corner of the room. He gave her the briefest smile as their eyes met. Lizzie returned it before walking over to the large table beside the window where some crew members were sitting.

She would have loved to sit with Orion but she didn’t want to get in Merula’s way. Where a confrontation with his past was unsettling for Orion, it turned Merula into a loaded gun. On days like this, it was better to steer clear of her; the only one who was safe from her moods was her foster brother.

Lizzie and the others were chatting about the shows of the day and the work they still had to do. Organising and playing two consecutive gigs in a row, and in such a short time span as well, was something neither of them had done very often. Lizzie thought wistfully about the hours of sleep she had missed last night by tossing and turning in her bed.

The topic of the discussion had just changed to the ever on-going debate about their favourite kinds of sports, when Lizzie’s attention was drawn from Murphy’s admittedly impressive case for basketball. Artemis was standing in the doorway, her eyes scanning the room, probably looking for Charlie.

When she saw that he was sitting with the rest of them, a small frown appeared between her eyes. She wasted no time coming over, but walked straight to the buffet laid out in the middle of the room.

Lizzie downed the remains of her coffee with one determined motion and stood up. As she tried to get past Charlie to get herself another cup, Charlie shot her a warning glance.

“Relax,” Lizzie rolled her eyes at him, “I’ll be nice to her.”

“That’s exactly my concern, rockstar,” Charlie snorted in response.

Ignoring his concerns, she stuck her tongue out at him and made her way over to Artemis. The pyro technician only briefly glanced up from the selection of food as Lizzie stood next to her, but she could have sworn to hear a defeated sigh coming from Artemis’ lips.

Not getting discouraged so easily, Lizzie flashed Artemis a cheerful smile. “Good morning! Did you sleep well?”

Artemis didn’t look at her but made a non-committal sound as she picked out an almond croissant for herself; Lizzie took that as a sign to go on.

“I couldn’t sleep at all,” she said. “The noise from the street kept waking me up.” At least, that was half the truth. “I’m going to need all the coffee to get me through the day.”

To prove her point, she put her cup under the outlet of the fancy coffee machine and waited for it to fill up again. Artemis wasn’t responding, so Lizzie just continued talking; maybe she wasn’t a morning person. Then again, who besides Orion was?

“The day’s going to be such a long one, too. I can’t even remember when we last played two full shows in one day. Okay, granted, the first one is an acoustic set and that’s a lot less fuss but it’s still pretty exhausting if you want to do it right. And if you ask me, those kids deserve the best show we can give them,” she smiled at Artemis. “Do you and Charlie have anything special planned?”

“No,” Artemis said, turning to the coffee machine. Lizzie stepped away to make room, looking at her curiously.

“Your display is great as it is, so no need to change that much. The children will love anything you do either way.”

“There won’t be much to love. We’re not doing anything.”

Lizzie blinked in surprise. “Why not?”

“Because,” Artemis said pointedly, “I don’t want no child anywhere fucking close to my igniters. They can’t be controlled. One of them might burn themselves or some shit,” she smiled, but it was without any humour. “Imagine what that would do to your publicity.”

With that, she downed her still steaming coffee, turned on her heels and marched out of the room, the plate with her breakfast all but forgotten.

Lizzie stared after her for a moment, confused by Artemis’ strong reaction. When she returned to her seat, Charlie shot her a glum look.

“I didn’t do anything, I swear,” Lizzie shrugged. “We were just talking about the gig this afternoon and she ran off.”

Something like understanding was showing on Charlie’s face. “Ah, that explains a lot.”

Lizzie looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to go on. “Why?” she said slowly, when Charlie made no move to do so.

“She’s not coming.”

“Why not?”

This time, it was Charlie’s turn to shrug. “She didn’t want to tell me.”

Lizzie sighed as she poured more sugar into her coffee, blatantly ignoring KC’s unhappy face. “That’s a pity. The kids would have loved some cool effects.”

“Don’t worry about the effects,” KC said. She reached over the table and gently but firmly took the sugar dispenser out of Lizzie’s hands. “Just leave it to me to make your stage look pretty. After all, what are pyros but fancy lights?” she winked at Charlie.

Charlie muttered something incomprehensible into his coffee that sounded suspiciously like “No idea, that woman”. Murphy must have heard it as well, because he laughed and put his arm around his wife’s shoulders.

“Trust me, with the boss on the matter your show has a 94.3 % chance of being the best thing these kids have ever seen.”

As usual, Murphy’s prediction proved to be correct. Even without the use of pyros, KC had worked her magic on the lights, giving their show that little extra touch that made it even more special.

Sometimes Lizzie wished she could see the full display from the crowd’s perspective instead of being the subject of the spotlights. The only thing she could see was the change of colours and the patterns scurrying across the stage, but not the full glory of the elaborate show KC had designed for them.

For the show today, the head of Aurora Tourealis had known exactly which effects to reprogram without even thinking too hard on it. Suited to their acoustic set, she had dimmed the lights, toned down all effects, making their show feel different and yet familiar at the same time.

Even Everett had caught one of his better days; his voice sounded like liquid honey as it rose over the soft sound of his and Orion’s guitars, accompanied by the clear melodies coming from Merula’s piano.

They were met with thundering applause when they were done. Even though the crowd they had been playing for was ridiculously small compared to what would be waiting for them later, seeing the excited faces of all those children warmed Lizzie from the inside.

After their show, the kids, who were being allowed to meet them, split into two different groups. While one of them was shown around backstage, the others stayed with them and were given the opportunity to hang out with the band for a while.

Not all members of Equinox were in as good a mood as Lizzie, however. The only one enjoying her time seemed to be Skye, who was joking around with a few of the older kids. Everett was smiling his best stage smile, but it was obvious that he wished for what he considered a chore to be over.

Merula was hiding her discomfort much less well than Everett did; her answers to the questions were brusque and no longer than they had to be. There were considerably less children gathered around her than with the rest of them, but knowing Merula, that was just fine with her.

Every once in a while, Lizzie’s gaze wandered over to Orion. He was sitting cross legged on the stage floor, surrounded by a group of very attentive children. He was explaining why he was using different guitars for different songs, and the kids were positively hanging from his lips. Lizzie could understand why; when Orion was talking about his music, he did so with a passion that was completely captivating. She could listen to him talking her through his songs for hours on end and not get bored.

To anyone not knowing him, he might have looked just as calm as he always did; but Lizzie knew he was putting on a show. It was the little things that were giving him away; the way he was repeatedly running his hand through his hair, how he turned the pendant of the necklace between his fingers, or absentmindedly plucked on the strings of his guitar without even realising it. All these quirks showed Lizzie that he was trying to keep himself in check.

“And what is that for?”

Her attention returned to her own little group of fans. They were standing around her drum kit and she had just finished explaining the different kinds of drums, toms and cymbals.

One of the kids, a little girl probably no older than eight, was sitting on her lap; she seemed to be the youngest of them all and apparently an avid fan of Lizzie. Her stream of questions about Equinox, playing in a band, and how to become a drummer seemed to have no end. Lizzie was happy at her enthusiasm and answered every single one of her questions diligently.

Right now, she was pointing at something fixed to the stand of her hi-hat. Lizzie smiled fondly as she looked at the small construction of wood, string and feathers.

“That’s my dreamcatcher,” Lizzie explained, “I always keep it on my kit whenever I play. It’s supposed to watch over me.”

“How did you get it? Did you make it?”

Lizzie’s eyes went to Orion, only for a moment. “A very good friend gave it to me.”

The girl looked at her sceptically. “But if it’s supposed to catch dreams, why is it on your drums?”

Lizzie laughed. “That’s what my friend said, too. But I like looking at it when I’m playing. It’s my lucky charm.”

She remembered when Orion had given her the dreamcatcher. She had spent the night at his place and had woken from a nightmare that had left her shaking. She had those very seldomly, but when she did, she found it hard to let them go again. Orion had helped her breathe until she had calmed down; afterwards, he had collected the dreamcatcher hanging from the window above his bed and had given it to her.

“To keep away the bad dreams.”

The memory made her smile.

When it was time for the two groups to switch and the chaperones were calling their charges to their sides, Lizzie was surprised to feel a timid tug at the back of her shirt. Turning around, the little girl was standing behind her, a very serious expression on her face.

“I have to ask you a question,” she said urgently, eyeing the other children suspiciously.

Lizzie kneeled down in front of her and smiled. “Of course, sweetheart. What else do you want to know?”

A faint blush spread on the girl’s rosy cheeks as she looked over to where Orion was taking pictures with a few of the other kids. “Is Orion the friend who gave you your lucky charm?”

“He is,” Lizzie said, “you’re a clever girl.”

The girl’s eyes widened and the red on her cheeks deepened. “Is he your boyfriend?”

Caught completely unaware, Lizzie just so managed to keep her face from slipping. “What makes you think that?”

“You’re looking at him all the time,” the girl explained matter-of-factly, “and he keeps looking at you, too. And you smile when you talk about him.”

Without meaning to, Lizzie’s eyes flicked to Orion again, and sure enough, a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth when their eyes met. She felt the heat rise to her face and looked away again.

“No, he’s not my boyfriend.”

“Are you sure about that? He looks like he might be your boyfriend.”

Lizzie took a deep breath. “We are just very good friends.”

“That’s good,” the little girl stated, clearly satisfied with Lizzie’s answer.

“Why’s that?”

The girl lowered her voice conspiratorially. “Because I’m going to marry him when I'm grown up,” she said, completely serious about her plan.

Lizzie tried to mirror her earnestness but had to suppress the urge to chuckle; that was the cutest thing she’d ever heard. “Well, Orion is a very lucky guy then.”

“But you won’t tell him, right?” the girl said, suddenly looking very shy. “You have to promise me!”

Lizzie knew Orion was watching them and she smiled when she caught his gaze. Turning her attention back to the girl staring at her out of big eyes, she held her pinky finger out to her.

“I promise. This will stay our little secret.”

KCFICRECEVENT -Day 8 - Quick-Fire Questions

Belated Quick Fire answers, here we go! @klaroline-events

1. Who are your favorite KC writers?

@she-walked-away @bellemorte180 @lalainajanes (LalainaJ) @marvelouskatie @strongbeautifulfulloflight (Wrecklessrighter) to name a few!

2. Who’s your favorite KC smut writer?

I have spent a good amount of time plowing through @lalainajanes‘s one shot collection Make Some Noise, which includes a fair amount of smutty drabbles, and every single one manages to be just as good as the last. I think that when you write so much smut, you can get worried about scenes becoming too similar (that’s what I stress over especially) but they write their smut so effortlessly and each scene is unique and crafted to the context of the prompt! (I also appreciate the commitment to recognising how dangerous shower sex is)

3. A fic that you have read more than once.

Dirty Little Secret & Unexpected Exposure by @she-walked-away. I cannot tell you how many times I have read them. Dirty Little Secret is the reason I began and completed my first official Klaroline WIP (my crappy attempts a year prior don’t count), back when I actually...prepared multiple chapters before posting... And Unexpected Exposure is arguably my favourite fic that I have ever laid eyes on. Their writing is so consistent in both narration and dialogue and their charactersation is marvelous!

4. A feel-good fic that never fails to make you smile. + 5. A fic that has made you cry.

Family Game Night by @strongbeautifulfulloflight hands down! The very first time I read it years ago, I laughed so hard that I cried (which I guess answers question 5 as well). In fact, the scene in which Kol has clearly lost the plot after his phone is destroyed and he loses his high score is what inspired his first scene in my story Psychedelic Kicks! This story is just absolutely a bundle of fun and laughter and I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it.

6. A fix-it fic that has made you feel vindicated.

Fortitude by @life-needs-epic. Obviously, I recommended it for day 3 of the event so you can see my review and graphic there!

7. A fic that has made your romantic heart scream.

Picturesque by @supernutellastuff. I have definitely mentioned my love for it before and I really wanted to recommend it for this event BUT I held myself to a criteria of active/ongoing fics for the main 7 days. Still, I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH. I think this writer has a wonderful gift in building chemistry between two characters whether it’s romantic or platonic. The details of their friends arguing over things like coffee beans and other seemingly innocuous topics are fantastic. Their friendship group feels so natural and there’s not a single one of them to dislike regardless of flaws. There is one scene in which Caroline calls Klaus very late at night just to clarify whether he had been in the same country as her at the same time and it makes my heart scream SO MUCH.

8. Your favorite drabble writer?

@itsnotacrimetoloveyou has written so many wonderful drabbles including one that I recommended this week! Luiza never fails to create such cohesive and compact stories within these drabbles and her writing is just so engaging.

9. What was the story that made you fall in love KC fanfiction?

The Madness Underneath by @marvelouskatie. If you haven’t read it, go read it. The biggest reason I love this fic is that it is honest and realistic. It doesn’t try to bend in favour of the ship by making it all fluffy and sweet. These characters feel like real people and the plot is interesting enough that KC are just the cherry on top.

10. A fic you love and wish more people would read.

The Other Side of Sacrifice by @queencarolinemikaelson. You can find my review for it on day 2 of this event along with the graphic under the kcficrecevent tag! I just want to point out again, however, how they do such a wonderful job writing this diversion of canon. It takes how the diversion would affect their relationship into account without going too far off base of who their characters are. Klaus is starts off quite cold (because well he’s dead, duh) but it’s an expected and understandable level that just works for this story. They have to get to know each other under an entirely different circumstance and that circumstance is so interesting. I really can’t wait to see what’s in store and I hope the author knows just how much I love it!

11. A fic that isn’t your regular cup of tea for whatever reason but that you love anyway.

Demonology by @bellemorte180. I know I know, ‘Lottie, you have recommended three fics in this post that you have ALREADY recommended this week’ but it’s my fic rec post and I’ll do what I want. Let me start this off by saying: I love horror. HOWEVER, when it comes to Klaroline fics, I am extremely wary of fics that label themselves as ‘dark’. If you want to know my complete reasoning then I will happily share but expect a rant lmao. With all of that in mind, this story, though in its early days, is setting the stage for a roller coaster of madness and I am ready. Right off the bat, Erica throws a curve ball and from then on, the story only sinks its teeth into your soul more and more. The way the progression of Klaus and Caroline’s relationship is intertwining with the story so far is flawless and I hope that if you haven’t read this yet, you will give it a shot. I promise you’ll adore it.

12. A multichapter you wish would be updated NOW!

Fair Silvers of Us by @carolineforbae (like seriously, Giulia, I GOTTA KNOW HOW IT ENDS). This is another type of fic that wouldn’t usually be my cup of tea but Giulia is an excellent and engaging writer. How could I not fall in love with it? I think that mates as a trope can be a very delicate thing to handle, but Giulia deals with the issues expertly throughout the story. GO READ IT.

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

Heroes of Olympus !! Yup I started writing fanfic for the HoO fandom.

2. What is your latest fandom?

The Hunger Games. Right now I'm writing with a Hunger Games OC <kinda oc kinda just merged fandoms>

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

This is hard, I think HoO, just because people interacted a lot with my writing. I love the AOS fandom but not a lot of people comment.

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

Kane Chronicles. I only write stuff for it for like 2 months, and now I have no inspiration for it. Yet a lot of people keep asking me to write more.

5. Which fandoms have your written fanfiction for?

Heroes of Olympus, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Agents of SHIELD, and Kane Chronicles. I can't think of anything else.

6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in.

I have a "one OTP per fandom" rule so here's the short list.

As far as NOTPs go I've really only had them for SHIELD. And they are Fitzaida and Skimmons.

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

Honestly I just went "I want to rewatch Hunger Games and read the books" and next thing I know I'm writing OC fanfics about them.

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?

Shield is my current fandom and I think the few people who do comment really leave long meaningful comments instead of small things.

10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

Marvel. I've never written something from Marvel but I want to.

It was a multi chapter one shot fic collection for HOO. I believe.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

Yes. 2 fics. Horus' Heir, and Ocean's Twins. Neither are finished and I hate how I left them but don't have the effort to finish them.

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

From the Rubble. It's a AU version of season 5 episode 22 and I love it because it challenges me to have to look up things and is emotional and angsty.

24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?

So I am rewriting one right now. *From the Rubble.* Also I want to rewrite some of my WIPs and finish them.

25. What’s your most popular fanfic?

A Heroes of Olympus dabbles collection fic on wattpad with 106k views.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

I have NO clue. I just think if random ideas till something sticks.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

Summaries. Because I want to have something catching to make people read, without spoiling things.

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

I would LOVE a sketch of From the Rubble. With Jemma by his beside, where he's asleep or awake and they're looking at his x-ray. Or when he's in a wheelchair and yeet.

29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?

I have one for From the Rubble, Bella. Just so I can make sure it's good and emotional and flows.

30. What inspires you to write?

A lot of things. My fandoms. Prompts. Au ideas I think of etc.

31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?

That I could write an episode of SHIELD. I cried.

32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?

I do. I have different playlists for characters. *Some are my OCs, some are canon* and I'll listen to it when writing about that character.

33. Do you write oneshots, multi-chapter fics or huuuuuge epics?

I try and challenge myself to write all. But more my One Shots become multi chapter and my multi chapters become huge epics 😂

34. What’s the word count on your longest fic?

23,764 words and counting for my fic From the Rubble, and I'm only on chapter 3. I probably have longer ones on wattpad but idk. Also

35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?

I usually find dialogue prompts and write a drabble based on it when I'm in a writers block rut. Usually Fitzsimmons though.

36. What’s your favourite genre to write?

I love writing angst. Whoops.

37. First person or third person - what do you write in and why?

Usually third person, but when I am doing more emotional based things first. Basically if there's action, third. If its little action and mostly emotion firt.

38. Do you use established canon characters or do you create OCs?

Both. I usually write canon character but try and expand on OCs on occasion.

39. What is you greatest strength as a writer?

How fast I can write. I can usually write 5+ pages or more in an hour if I'm really focused.

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?

I struggle with revising and editing because I get excited to share my work.

I mean this is hard. A lot of writers really I aspire me. But I think Bella does the most. Just because we share angst ideas and I get muse from them.

PLEASE write more Deke and Daisy stuff people. I'm begging.

From the Rubble. Because it's an idea I'm committed to so I am putting a lot of effort into it. I'm making myself edit it a lot and writing longer chapters. I think it's the best I've done.

Ao3. I hardly use tumblr and fanfiction.net confuses me and I forgot it existed.

48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not?

I try to! I know how important they are to writers so if I like the fic I try and say something about it. Even if it's small.

49. Do you care if people comment/reblog your writing? Why/why not?

I love when people share my work with others. Comments mean so much to me and the more comments I get the more dedicated I am to a fic.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

Um I read HOO and had to wait for the next book. No one I knew liked it so I started looking for things relating to it, like edits. Stumbled on fanfiction and thought "I like writing. I'll try this."

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

I hate when I work really hard on a fic and no one really tells what the think. And if I get a comment its "update." Because I want to know how my reading affected you. I also love being able to change different things I don't like in my favorite show 😂

Well, they're not sentences per say, I may have sorta got carried away a little bit. And this definitely got out of control.

Enraptured, by the shadows of flames that he swore danced at the tips of her hair, he didn't answer. But he was also curious and if keeping her - Caroline - all anger and temper and that fire meant goading her a little more, then well, he was immortal and what was a single knife against his immortal heart and invincible body if nothing but an annoying hindrance?

Dangle your heart, I'll give you mine

(I actually have a lot of favourites from this one.)

One walk turns into two and then into three and then it’s a road to endless infinity. And he, he has no idea what to make of the fact that the color of her eyes is the only thing he can see in his sleep, that the sound of her laughter has become something akin to ambrosia, delicious and addictive.

“Victory is alluring, Klaus, and so seductive. It can swallow you whole.” Warnings are plastered over all over her words, and Klaus almost snorts, thinking that Caroline doesn’t know him so well after all, as if she wouldn’t be his just as much as he is hers.

“If I want it, then it won’t be as dangerous to me as it is to most.”

She’s read about the feeling of having the Earth ripped from underneath you, and she’d explain what’s coursing through with that description but it feels like it doesn’t give it the justice it deserves. This is more of a ‘having a whole galaxy blowing up in your face’ sort of thing, and she thinks she may have heard her heart exploding from having too many emotions racing through her. Relief and Pain have never seemed more attractive as words and never so fitting.

You went under my skin and didn't want to get out.

He shrugged, like it was the simplest thing in the world, "Queens can't be princesses, sweetheart."

I’m not sure I’m active enough to know who is getting what amount of attention here. But hey if you don’t mind, I can use this opportunity to gush over my favourite people and who thus deserve ALL the attention. So, here we go:

@aaron-clyde Paula was the first person I talked to in this fandom and she made me feel welcome in it so I’m forever grateful for that. She’s super sweet and great to talk to and we’ve discussed the show quite a lot. I’m still in the middle of watching aaron’s sl and she let’s me livechat that to her (which reminds me I haven’t watched it in ages…). She also makes gifs, which is cool and I appreciate anyone, who makes new content in this fandom (because I’m useless)

@boookemdanno ALI!!!! She’s great for all caps angst and she has made me cry multiple times. Once she made me cry on the bus in the morning. But I love her because she’s as angsty as I am and we torture each other with sad headcanons (or wishes for Liv/Gabby, which is also painful). She inspired me to write fic for the first time in years (I’m yet to finish it and I know she’s waiting for it and I’m sorry!) Anyway, she’s a great writer and I’m urging her to write more ;)

@escapingreality51 Amelia is the loveliest, coolest, most talented sweetheart on this planet! She never fails to make me smile. She writes about robron beautifully and seems to really get them. And though this isn’t robron related, I love her a lot for sending me so many Magnus gifs and basically lusting over him together with me. Amelia deserves all the happiness in the world

@twatcitytrick KC brought aaross into my life and I cannot thank her enough. It’s painful but so worth it. I love livechatting the episodes with her and living through it together and I want to do it more when I’m not this flipping busy anymore. She also listens to me talk about Aaron/Cain (and Cain in general, why am I so in love wth). Also she’s a great tagger and I’m always either crying or laughing at her tags.

@silverrobron Jenni is so brilliant to talk to! She writes smart, well thought out robron posts and I usually agree 100% with her thoughts and feelings. I definitely want to chat with her more about robron/ed. She also writes fics and they are amazing, go read them if you haven’t!!!

@lionheartnking ok so Sari doesn’t really have a robron blog per se, but she’s the one who got me into robron/ed so I want to thank her for this hell. She listened to me livechat the whole robron story and went through the ups and downs with me. In the past six months or so she’s become one of my favourite people in general. She’s a funny, smart, beautiful individual and I’m so glad to have her in my life now.

Oh this is a beloved favourite. Caroline's a werewolf alpha and Klaus, fresh from breaking his curse, searches her pack out to turn them into hybrids. Instead of forces them to turn, Caroline makes a deal with him, teaching him what it means to be who they are, offering him a place in her pack and if by a certain amount of time her pack want to become hybrids, he may turn as many as he wishes. It's got some great lore and delves nicely into Klaus' werewolf side. I adore it.

The Stubborn Grace of Being Loved Regardless by @helpless-in-sleep / perfectpro

This one is probably on every klaroline rec list, but eh, I don't care. It's a good classic. I love that its set in New Orleans and Caroline gets her own powers. It also has Klaus in wolf form and any fic that has that instantly earns my seal of approval, as you should know by now.

I binged this in a morning and after I finished it I was left shell shocked, in that high state after a fic has completely changed you on a spiritual level where you don't know how to move on with your life. I just remember lying atop my bed and staring at the ceiling like??? What do I do now??? What was I doing before I read this??? Fuck if I know. It's an amazing fic, canon divergent from season 3, a tattoo soulmate au with brilliant appearances from Kol, Elijah and Rebekah as well. And hey, in my shell shock after reading it I left an essay-length comment on the fic and now I'm best mates with the author. Our tastes literally align so perfectly it's like we share the same brain cell, so I could probably make a top ten klaroline fic list out of Ella's fics alone - every fic of hers takes all my hopes and dreams and weaves them into art. So check her stuff out, and not just the popular ones either (she's also got an amnesia au in the works which has me FERAL so come help me pester her to finish it)
