ok but helioc followers being doomed inherently if they have any tragic or untimely death because they're taught that "Helio wouldn't let that happen" and similar principles
Being taught to live for the afterlife but also to expect worldly challenges like murder/tragedy/etc are something you are like. Immune to somehow? In living?
You are devoted to Helio and in so you will have a peaceful death, one that is fair and just and I'm befitting circumstances. Or at least that if you are subject to a tragic death, Helio will be there to hold you with open arms and some kind of REASON. Something to bring a wholeness to the upset of not getting what you've been taught to expect.
This idea that you are helioc and so your death is Helioc. Helio must have a plan for you, and your death will not be untimely, and if it seems so it serves a greater purpose that is theologically rewarding. Because of course it does.
You are helioc and so you don't just die for no reason. Death is a moment of respite and a crossing into everlasting life and it will ALWAYS be for a greater reason if not simply your salvation.
Helioc followers (and followers of sol) learning that sense of disdain for their non or "wrongly" faithful peers due to that sense of superiority. That sense of superiority extending past your feelings about others and into your expectations for how you will pass into the afterlife.
That superiority creating a fellowship that EXPECTS Helio to save them in the living world - because you've been good, it's not your time yet, Helio wouldn't let that happen to you, his faithful servant. You are faithful and he would not punish you with a an unjustified death.
You are ENTITLED to a befitting death into afterlife because you are Good where the world is Bad and you do everything you can to remind those who do not follow your god, to relentlessly try to convert them, to fall into the trap you fell in so long ago shaped by fear, by a victim complex, by isolation from other groups that makes you hostile toward them, even if behind a smile.
A world that is Fundamentally and Observably polytheistic, where the Helioc unfortunate enough to befall a tragic, untimely, or unexplainable death are -doomed- to the faith upon meeting their Deity. Because unlike those of the faith who have passed peacefully or for their own martyrdom or whatever else, you show up to the corny gates and something is Wrong. Your god comes to you with love but he did not protect you in the way you're certain he was supposed to. In the way you were taught you DESERVED.
This is not a reward for your devotion and it cannot be justified. Your god is a Fratboy of Corn who is unable to answer your questions because to answer your questions truthfully would be to unravel the principles fundamental to your religion. To acknowledge that "bad things happen [to good people] because Things Happen" is to admit that being Helioc does not Save You from the wrath of the cosmos. That being Helioc does not make you uniquely and automatically good, and therefore safe from the happenstance of the world. That the good people you watched suffer did not Earn it in some way, they were just dealt that hand. The hard times befallen upon your worldly siblings is not something that happens because they weren't "devout enough."
to admit Helio is not inherently more holy than any other deity, is the kind of truth that can destroy this type of faith, and Helio needs to stay alive. Gods are not of the material, but they're dependent on their followers to survive. To bend to what their followers preach and create as their religion in this SPECIFIC way means that you can no longer be truthful about these matters when (if) they ask. In the right hands it could destroy him. He needs the unwavering faith the church has built to stay as strong as he has been, because that it how he's maintained the power he's had until now. He no longer knows another way. And that's excluding whatever influence Sol/the church of Sol has on him and his domain.
Helio not only cannot answer truthfully, but is DESTINED to get himself out of dodge quick upon being asked. Because as above so below, and the church is not known for its ability or willingness to take responsibility.
And if youre disillusioned enough, or angry enough, or sharp enough to put that together from an interaction in any way similar to Kristen's in freshman year, then the betrayal of your own God is GOING to take over.
Maybe you're like Kristen and you start asking questions, maybe you're like Buddy and take the rageful hand that offers to ressurect you the way your own God "should have".
But to die in the way they died automatically puts them in a position that if they are to get to heaven and ask questions, or have conflicting feelings strong enough to get you thinking, then they're DOOMED either to be disappointed with Helio or to dig deeper into deluding themselves. This of course will not always trigger a loss of faith, ans plenty of people leave the church in living for a myriad of reasons - we saw this with the summer of endless night. But there's something so interesting in the way the nature of your death could be further reinforcement of your ideals or completely shatter them in one fell swoop, even upon reaching the place of blessed afterlife.
because the Church of Helio seems different from the other religions we've seen in game in that over time the modern faith has been been BUILT on expectation and a sense of deserving more than others. And to die in a manner directly opposed to your own sense of entitlement is all that the latent anger may need to break that follower-deity relationship
Of course Kristen met Helio and was immediately unsure about her direction in life. On the other side of that coin, of course Buddy let his faith go to come back to life to serve a corrupt god of rage. They're children killed young and devout, who's deaths are orchestrated by powers out of their hands, and not in line with the ideals taught by your god.
The difference being how entrenched you are when that happens, and who's there to pull you out.

Happy Wetnessday 💦
How are you? I am good.
This Wetnessday the good weather demands a cute summer dress. You pick your favourite and then head out to enjoy the good weather. While you're strolling in the park and enjoy the sun on your skin you catch the eye of someone who needs to have you.
Who will stop at nothing to get you? And will you let them?
fae Ransom
biker Steve
single Dad Andy
xoxo Wetnessday anon 💦
I'm good! I'm happy to hear you are too☺️ Hope the spring is treating you well, with lots of sun and blooms 🩷
Today your ask got my mind to work, in a good way!
At first it paused to wonder what's fae Ransom doing in a casual human park? I'm sure his realm has lush woodlands, meadows and such, so our parks, however beautiful, probably don't match. Besides, why would Ransom of all high fae decided to be among simple, lower humankind? Was he banished? Is he bored? Is he hunting?
Then, because my thoughts always love to go towards Steve, I made a happy little sigh. To imagine Steve mounting a bike and watching you, studying you, maybe stalking a bit 🥵
Single dad Andy somehow didn't stay too long in my mind here. Not that I have anything against him, not in this case, just the first two caught my attention more. Which resulted in...
Tumblr media
Ransom's face scrunched in disgust when a group of teenage girls passed by him, their laughter so high pitched they might as well be screeching banshees.
They were loud and they had a listening device that boomed equally loud, too-bass based music. Despite no one around giving their consent to listen to that crap.
His eardrums (and his music taste) were bleeding raw.
He didn't mind the volume. Actually, he was quite known for throwing and participating in many parties. But this here, in the human side of the veil, there was too much cacophony and chaos of it all. He really couldn't stand being here for long.
Though they had good ice cream. Like the one he was having at the moment - a rich chocolate taste, with surprising bursts of salted caramel, and unexpected addition of heavily sweet yet sour cherry.
"You're either growing an addiction to ice cream, or you're here to start the same conversation. Again."
Draped in human clothes, Ransom considered himself blended enough with the masses, despite not having an ounce of human blood in him. He knew if anyone paid close attention, they'd see he looked different.
But the man next to him stopped looking so ethereal, though Ransom knew the same blood pumped in their veins.
He glared at Steve, who sat all spread on his motorcycle that was parked at the edge of the park, in a spot overlooking both pristine greenery and the lake sparkling ahead.
"Can't I just visit my older brother?" He asked, taking another lick of the sweetness.
"Sure you can." Steve nodded. "But you never just visit. It's either to hide from grandfather's schemes, or to complain about responsibilities."
"Responsibilities I have to deal with because you bailed." Ransom spat accusingly.
Steve gave him that look, which he often used to do in the past when Ransom was throwing a tantrum and knew damn well that Steve was right all along.
"I honored the responsibilities for over a thousand years." Steve reminded him. "I would continue to, if the corrupted council didn't fear losing their power and wealth."
"Which they would, if you sat on the throne." Ransom pointed out the obvious.
Steve and him may have grown in the same family, in the same palace, under the same grandfather's watch, but Steve was always a defiant one. Not rebellious for the sake of it, but to fight the injustice and rusty, conservative frames the fae kingdom was locked in.
Grandfather often clashed with Steve, however in front of the council and nobility he always took Steve's side. Ransom knew it was less out of respect for Steve and more to underline the fact that Steve was his successor.
Which didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. In the end, the council's poison destroyed many loyalties Steve had built over the years; including framing and banishing his best friend.
That was enough to drive Steve away from the throne he was born to sit on.
He left. Out of his own volition.
Leaving Ransom with the mess and the doom of having to wear the crown himself.
"They would." Steve agreed, a cheeky smirk curving his lips.
"So come back and do that," Ransom's voice remained somewhat petulant, but there was a vulnerable helplessness to it, one a little brother might display toward the older, protective one.
Steve's face softened as he looked at him. Blue eyes, that were so similar to Ransom's, now held only the color of Mediterranean Sea, lacking the swirls of the stars on the night sky.
"No, Ran." He replied. "You may complain about the responsibilities, but we both know you don't really hate the prospect of becoming the king. Just some aspects of it."
"Yeah, like the fucking council." Ransom rolled his eyes. "But I'm not gonna bail beyond the veil and live among people just to spite them."
"It's not that bad." Steve laughed, leaning forward on his bike. "I actually like it here. Besides, I've figured out a way for you to show the council the middle finger and keep the crown on your head."
"Which is?" Ransom tensed a bit, seemingly in suspicion, but Steve knew his brother enough to recognize interest. And eagerness to stir shit.
"As a king, you'll have to marry-"
"Don't fucking remind me!"
"Stop whining and listen, you snail shell." Steve snorted at Ransom's indignant face. "You have to marry. The exact law for it states the bride has to carry the fae blood and light."
"Where are you going with this exactly?" At the moment he wasn't seeing any loophole in that script.
Then Steve's smirk returned and his index finger pointed at something in the park.
No, at someone, Ransom realized as his gaze followed the direction.
There you were, strolling through the park in a pretty pastel sundress, enjoying a cup of ice cream. You looked cute, sweet even. In a way that could provoke a fae like him to debauch you.
Ransom was about to accuse Steve of getting senile from spending too much time in the human world, since at first nothing made sense here, but as spoiled and shallow everyone thought him to be, he was actually exceptionally smart.
"How do you know she's of fae bloodline?" He asked Steve, but his gaze remained on you, following your every move.
"We were younglings when Abraham left the realm." Ransom was barely two hundred then, didn't pay any attention to the politics and nuances then, but he remembered the echo of that name.
"After his wife was sentenced, right?"
"For aiding humans, yes." Steve nodded. "He came to live among humankind and with time found a new companion. A human woman. They had children. She's their descendant. Abraham's descendant."
"So technically, she carries the fae blood and light." A slow smirk and a glint in his eyes, Ransom took a long lick of his melting ice cream. "Lawfully, she can be my wife. But since she's human, it will piss the fuck out of the council and cause a general chaos in the kingdom."
"Might even cause grandfather to pass to the stars." Steve grinned.
"I'll burn him a beautiful pyre." Ransom laughed in delight.

Ngl, shadow milk cookie remind me of a different character from a different fandom (Leonardo from rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles).
As leo is the "face man" of the group, him and shadow milk has so much similarities:
- able to mask their emotions to the point they trick who's close to them (shadow milk trick his minions candy apple and black sapphire).
- crack jokes (i remember the event where wind archer story)
- CAN manipulate people including the closest people to them to a scary degree
- others can't read them
- doesn't become honest or CAN'T become honest towards others.
- trying to be the protagonist/hero of the story
This made me think: i know Leonardo is an insecure person whose afraid from begin alone or abandoned by others... Could shadow milk cookie have the same problems/fears?
AND I KID YOU NOT EP 8 MADE ME RELIZE IT'S REAL!!
There's a dog in arena (the cake hound you get for free after you do like 100 battle if more(?)) It says the dog is trying to hide in disguise TRYING to BEFRIEND a sheep!!
We all know the sheep represent PV so does the cake hound represent shadow milk?!?!
And think about this: does the reason shadow is acting cold and bored towards candy apple and black sapphire... Could it be because he doesn't want to get too attached? Because he's afraid if they left him, he'll be heartbroken from the betrayal?!
So sorry for talking to much i just got excited 😅
"Trying to be the protagonist/hero of the story" feels very apt when you think about how Shadow Milk was the first to become corrupted and the few times, he's directly stated such! :> He is the consequences of the role the Witches put him into and the early cookies' treatment of him. And him getting punished for it feels like a perfect story for a tragic hero thru his eyes uwu A friend of mine talked about that cake dog and maaaan... it only drives home what was going on in EP 8: Shadow Milk trying to pursue companionship with Pure Vanilla bc he was the only one that has the potential to be that true equal to him. Shmilk trying to be aloof in order to avoid heartbreak...it def feels like this would be something he would do, being a long-lived being. Having to get used to others mortality compared to your own is prime for angst >:P While I do love the idea of him caring for his minions, I see his coldness coming from a different place. Someone I saw on my twt TL put it away more elegantly than I'm doing it but basically, Shadow Milk is used to idolization. Candy Apple and Black Sapphire may be understanding of his ideals and garner the most trust from him in doing his bidding. BUT they just don't have a real grasp on what limitless knowledge did to Shmilk back then, unlike PV. It could also be inward, where Shadow Milk might believe he is incapable of friendship or love, being a creature made of lies and deceit. So, he never thinks to pursue it! And if he wants to, he has to bury his real self in order to such as the disguised cake hound :)

the "plot" in my MHA DR
ua :
Ueyama Academy, or UA for short, is basically big-daddy-corruption. The school is a "subsidiary" of the company UA corporation, which got its start experimenting on the first set of quirk users in the late 1800s, and selling those individuals as weapons of destruction to anyone willing to buy. from the government to the black market.
i mentioned this in another post, but UA has a ton of global branches.
Tumblr media
quirks :
didnt just spring up out of nowhere. theyre a direct result of *literal* genetic mutation. it was originally only bought by ambitious wealthy people and administered to them and their families, or given to societies most "worthless" for corporations like ua to experiment on. however it eventually found itself in global food, air and water sources. the first waves of quirk manifestation killed off half of the population, but the survivors were permanently superpowered and passed it off to their offspring. 100% of the population has a quirk, even if its something "weak"
quirks dont permanently physically mutate anyone. like you cant be a bird person or something (im so sorry but that mutation sh1t genuinely creeps me out 😭)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the league of villains :
in the anime theyre just an organized crime group, but in my DR theyre bigger than that. thousands of originally unrelated vigilantes and villains personally funded and hired by a group of upper class individuals meant to "shake up" hero society and UA's grasp on the world. it'll eventually split into two groups; the "reformers" who just want a better society, and the "anarchists" who want complete destruction to start again clean.
the rebellion :
it doesnt take a genius UA student to weed out that the school--and by extension its parent company--is a hotbed of deception, incompetence, corruption and chaos. for the past few years students, heroes and graduates disillusioned with the system are beginning to rebel in small ways. its no big "gotcha" moment, but little fires among every course and every branch. since everything's felt among all the school, the "plot" isnt just about the hero course students, but the pharmacy, entertainment, business and tech courses as well. it isnt just us fighting in the war/rebellion, but them planning and helping us out behind the scenes. the hero course just happens to be the face.
the loyalists :
even with all the chaos surrounding UA, some graduates, students and heroes are still loyal to the company and its message. their reasons vary greatly, some think that uas corruptness it better than living in anarchy, and others are just afraid of a status quo change or are trying to maintain their position on the figurative top.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the war arc :
the war arc isnt this big event that happens in our first year but a slow burn disaster. it comes to a head at the end of our final / fourth year attending ua but there were already hints of it beforehand. the fighting isnt even hero versus villain. its loyalist vs rebel vs anarchist vs reformer.
1A :
we arent the "main characters" anymore. the people moving the plot alone arent just in 1A. its equally the other courses / classes too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lifestyle
everything isnt always super serious though. we'll still have our silly, teenage/young adult, fun moments here and there. all the super serious depressing moments are contained into the war which will happen post grad. and wouldn't it be better to have fully trained heroes fight in a war anyways? just saying.

That brings up an interesting point. Since you seen to be a canon girlie, do you think/feel that Hermione DOES become Minister?
What do you make of Harry being Head of Magical Law Enforcement?
thank you for this question anon! i do think it's very plausible hermione becomes minister of magic. i think it's equally plausible that harry becomes head of magical law enforcement. mostly because, well:
Tumblr media
basically: i think both characters' career trajectories are in keeping with the politics of the series as a whole - eg. the goodies are all liberal, pro-state, non-revolutionary moderates who support a gradualist reformist agenda rather than a radical re-imagining of societal organisation. i also think both career options track with who each character is in canon (or rather, who the teenage versions of these characters might become as adults). and i think most of the reasons people are disappointed by either idea, and especially by harry coming 'a cop' then rising up the ranks to run law enforcement, is because they are putting their own more radical ambitions around social justice onto characters that would be poor vehicles for them.
on hermione - i don't know how many people have huge issue with the idea of hermione as minister of magic. i imagine the complaints with this idea come from people who a) like hermione and think hermione's politics as a teenager - identifying systemic injustice and labour exploitation of a subject people - jar with the idea of her settling within a political system that upholds and enforces that structure and others like it, or b) people don't like hermione as much and who think she would be too unpopular to get elected. to the former group, i'd trot out the arguments made far better than people other than me: that hermione's support for the house elves mostly boils down to a bit of a saviour complex and 'be nicer to your slaves', which is not especially radical position, and also point out the ministry's institutional culture seems to reward high-achieving technocrats with establishment credentials (or at least, prior records of academic and professional achievement), and i could see hermione riding that train straight to the top, especially on wave of post-war reformism with diminishing anti-muggleborn prejudice. (the wizarding world also loves a good (and bad) law and is extremely vigilant in enforcing them to a fault. hermione jean granger absolutely loves a rule. it's a match-made in heaven. it is - i fear - giving keir starmer).
to the second point, as i talked a bit about here, the wizarding world does not seem to be a democracy. so hermione wouldn't even need to be especially popular to get the top job. i personally love the idea of hermione quietly parking her commitments to representative democracy to get a bit of good labour legislation passed, or even thinking about wizarding democracy in victorian terms (as long as you're representing what you think the enlightened citizenry want, you're gucci). i mean honestly, what do the masses know! ignore em, queen. they're all kind of pureblood racists anyway!
on harry: i have a feeling it's harry's trajectory that most pisses people off. and i absolutely get it! people hate cops, and harry appears to become one, after spending a lot of the series raging against how shit senior leadership at the ministry of magic tend to be. while i do see the argument that teenage harry has strong criticisms of the ministry for its officials' self-interest, corruption and lack of accountability for their many miscarriages of justice, the truth is that a) harry never really associates being an auror with representing the ministry of magic as an institution, that b) he thinks of lots of characters who work in and around the ministry of magic, including in law enforcement, as agents of good (arthur weasley, kingsley, tonks, mad-eye, amelia bones) and c) harry at no point shows himself interested in thinking about ideology, about political systems, or about a more developed worldview beyond a deep sense of right and wrong and a need for justice. i think harry would like being head of magical law enforcement much less than hermione would like being minister, and i could see him finding the job enormously frustrating both for how much politicking it likely requires and for how little field action it would require. but i don't think that means it's out of character for him to rise up the ranks in pursuit of a more effective justice system and eventually take the top job as a means to an end.
the only other thing i'll say is that i do think there is something a bit culturally specific about imagining these two characters we think of as morally good actors taking up roles within the state to try to work for what they feel to be positive reform and progressive causes. the state appears quite neutrally in the hp series: it's a tool to be picked up and used to affect political change. this reflects its author's worldview, the political moment in which it was written (eg. under blair's new labour), and a longstanding dimension of real-life centre-left social democratic british politics usually expressed, at various times and to varying extents, by the political programme of the labour party throughout its history (to say nothing of a wider european context). it's not an inherently problematic political worldview (it is a core social democratic and socialist principle; it is also my own view of the state...), though ofc it can become so in the wrong hands. for instance, it's a consistent through-line in jkr's political evolution and a staple of her practically single-issue dangerous anti-trans politics even now - terf politics is a lot about wielding the state to remove legal protections from trans people, stop them from accessing health care etc. but the idea of the big state and of laws and government as a positive interventionist tool does colour hp as a text in lots of ways and is reflected in the worldview of many of its characters with which the reader is supposed to side. and i don't think we should overlook that.
conversely, hp is also a series devoid of political movements, and certainly of a meaningful far-left ideology or political sphere. and that's important to remember too if we're interested in canon coherence: hp is a liberal text in that it seemed plausible for its author to vacate a great deal of politics from her world-building. and i think that is, regretfully, worth remembering when we're claiming hermione should have been a trade union agitator or harry should have been an acab abolitionist organiser or whatever.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 3 Tatarigoroshi pt. 14
blblblblb
Tumblr media
I don't know what it says about me as a person, but I just find it so odd how quick to trust Keiichi is of literally everyone. The last time he saw Irie before the clinic just now was the time he was scoping out Satoko's home to see if her uncle really was an abusive creep. That particular exchange ended with Keiichi realizing he couldn't trust Irie due to his "there's nothing we can do for Satoko" stance. So I can only presume this sudden change in attitude is because of the fact the world seems to have turned itself on its head and is driving Keiichi faster and faster into madness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something I've noticed is the sheer number of times Keiichi has addressed himself in the narration of this chapter. Every few paragraphs he goes "hey Keiichi Maebara" and it's something he's only really done in this chapter. I don't remember him doing this in Onikakushi or Watanagashi. Or if he did, I don't remember him doing it to the degree he does in this one. Anyway, he goes back to the scene of body disposal and tries to dig up Teppei's body to confirm that he definitely one hundred percent for realsies killed him. When, wouldn't you know it, turning on the lantern he finds that a group of people are watching his incriminating deed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't help but wonder if this is closer to Ooishi's true personality. With the way he acted in the prior chapters just being a cover for his true nature of being a more villainous corrupt figure. Ooishi in the first two chapters acted more kindly than the one here in chapter three, maybe the way Keiichi acted in their first interaction caused him to drop the relatively kind persona and be more actively aggressive with his handling of Keiichi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The voice acting for this bit is funny. You have aggressive manly Keiichi, and equally aggro Ooishi who for some reason makes a dog barking noise when mentioning the story about the dog digging for gold.
Tumblr media
Eventually you gotta accept responsibility Keiichi, you can't just keep blaming every Tom, Dick, and Harry who shows up in your life as being the harbinger of discontent who ruins your life utterly. You could keep going backward, if it weren't for Irie, if it weren't for Shion, the list goes on. Eventually you'll blame every person you ever crossed paths with as ruining your peaceful life. Then where will that leave you? Trying to blow up teenagers with your weird pink cat man?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then, just like with the dead bodies of Takano and Mion from chapter two, the body of the man Keiichi killed seems to have wandered off. It's just rude is what it is, dead bodies not staying put when killed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the TIPS section we get this little interlude where Satoko states that the man who looks like her uncle clearly isn't him, and is in fact possessed by some sort of entity. It's an interesting inclusion, because this means that Satoko is aware that there is some sort of spirit or being interfering with her life and making it absolutely miserable for her. Which might just be a survival mechanism for the abuse she's going through, sort of like how Maria in Umineko views her mother Rosa's violent outbursts as her being possessed by an evil witch.
Tumblr media
But remember, he's not going to become a cutthroat killer after the other day.
Tumblr media
Not the worst euphemism for morning wood I've ever heard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm torn between going with a Guinea Pig, Tomie, or The Prestige reference here. I'll leave it to you to decide which one's more appropriate. Probably Tomie since that series at least is a horror about violence caused by others and not just a splatter fest, or a movie about fighting magicians.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact these occur so closely to one another amuses me to no end.
Tumblr media
The lazy theorizing is coming from within the visual novel! Which, yeah, I suppose it is entirely possible this entire episode Keiichi has been going through the past few in-game days could indeed be a coma dream. I've never once entertained the idea because of how lazy I find such analyses. The idea that the entirety of a given piece of media is happening inside someone's either comatose, or dying brain is such a lazy cop-out argument that I can feel my eyes glaze over whenever it gets trotted out. Final Fantasy VIII is not Squall's dying dream, the entirety of Spectre is not happening inside James Bonds recently lobotomized noggin, Far Cry 3 is not taking place in the main character's dying brain after he killed himself in a drug vision. One of the other reasons I never entertained the idea that this interpretation is correct is because there hasn't really been anything to support the notion that this is all in his comatose head.
So Keiichi arms himself with a hatchet to take care of Teppei Houjou once and for all, and this time he's going to chop him into bits regardless of witnesses, up to and including Satoko herselfe if that's what it takes!

Joanne Marie Anderson (January 7, 1971) is the first woman of color to win the election as mayor of a major city in the UK and the first Black and first woman mayor of Liverpool, England. She was born in Liverpool. She earned a BS in Business Studies from John Moores University.
She launched her consulting firm, Innervision, that advised community and charity groups such as Emmaus Merseyside, which focused on housing and the homeless, Merseyside Probation Service, Blackburne House, FRC Group, Merseyside Equality and Employment Law. She then assisted the Crown Prosecution Service. She became Business Manager for The Florrie, a city community center, charged with establishing a vocational training program leading to employment for individuals ages 16 to 30. She was a shop steward and participant in the Transport and General Workers Union before her affiliation with the Trades Union Congress Race Relations Committee.
Her success in politics began in October 2019 when she defeated her opponent to represent the Princess Park Ward on Liverpool’s City Council. Described as a “reluctant politician,” she had not intended to extend her term as a Council member but when the city’s mayor was arrested on corruption charges and forced to step down, friends persuaded her to run for mayor. With the deselection of the acting mayor, lord mayor, and deputy mayor the way was cleared for her to stand for Labour in the upcoming 2021 mayoral election.
A single mother of a teenage son defeated the independent candidate and won the election for mayor on May 10, 2021, in a landslide victory. Assuming office as only the second Labour mayor of Liverpool, she apologized for the poor performance of previous administrations and recent scandals and promised its citizens transparency and accountability.
Liverpool suffered another blow to its pride, which she had to address when UNESCO members voted to remove it from its World Heritage Site list. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

heyooo tell me about the chamaeleon three!
Gladly! Luckily I've updated their designs already too ^_^
Tumblr media
The Chamaeleon Three are a group of “teenage hoodlum” types to challenge Cassie’s quest to restore order between Earth and the Astral Plane. As the story progresses, the imbalance of the spirit world gets stronger as Cassie’s powers do, so the spirits that appear on Earth become more tangible, meaning that more people other than Cassie can see and interact with them over time. The trade-off is they then pose a larger threat to regular people, and that’s where these three come in!
It occurred to me that some of the more troublesome spirits would relish the opportunity to mess with the living world, even withstanding corruption by Void magic, especially after hearing that the Starglass is Cassie, not some kind of iron-clad warrior or another type of powerful figure like they expected. They quickly start wreaking havoc on the town and frame her for it whenever they can. Circumstances aren't exactly great on the Astral Plane as it is, so many also see it as a manner of escape from it, no matter how temporary.
Though they didn't initially choose to be corrupted by Void magic (it happened accidentally for them), they quickly made the most of their situation with anarchy and mischief once they did arrive on Earth. These three learn pretty quickly not to underestimate our little star hero, but still pose a threat that Cassie can’t face on her own, at least not initially.
So in order to catch these three and return them home, Cassie and her friends/family have to get creative to outsmart them or otherwise confront them in different ways, and I think this’ll be a good way to showcase the Earth squad’s differences in personality and resourcefulness, as well as spice up the spirit encounters in general. Here are descriptions for each of them :)
Lynx The tough guy of the three, with an equally brash personality to match. Despite the group's name, he thinks of himself as the leader and is imposing like one. He is never the one actually calling the shots though, as he lacks the brains for strategy. He greatly prefers brute forcing a problem or charging head-first into anything that's in his way.
Lynx is frequently a bully to Lepus for a predator-prey sort of dynamic, though he is easily shut down by Chamaeleon whenever he goes too far or loses focus. He’s usually the one to get caught the most when plans go awry, as he lacks Lepus’s agility and Chamaeleon's camouflage when escaping, but he’s the most capable fighter of the three simply by virtue of being a massive wild cat. You don’t want to mess with those teeth and claws!
He’s a cocky spitfire, known for constantly picking fights and riling things up, often to an extreme degree and at the detriment of himself and/or his group members. He's the type who would mock you for refusing to fight, and then call you a hypocrite for getting angry at him for mocking you. But, his overconfidence speaks to an underlying insecurity, which makes him prone to emotional vulnerability. He will aggressively defend himself should he ever be questioned, which usually leads him to picking fights that he can't win, and he switches between his confident and cowardly sides quite frequently.
While he’s already got a pretty stocky build and his stature isn't just for show, his cape and jacket are meant to make him look even bigger and more important, so you know he’s compensating for something, even if he’d never admit it. Being the (almost) leader of the group gives him a sense of power over others, whether it is warranted or not.
Lepus Probably best described as the cowardly lackey of the group, though not by his own choice. He hates being viewed with a bunny’s inherent cuteness, seeing it as a sign of weakness instead. This can sometimes give him an impulsive need to prove himself, and it typically ends poorly. He has, however, adapted to use it to his advantage.
He’s the type of character who will play to your sympathy and beg you to help him when he’s cornered, only to turn on you as soon as he’s in the clear. That said, he'd be the least likely of the three to become a villain under normal circumstances, if he felt he had a choice in the matter. But alas, history has taught him that he has to be this way to survive at all. He sees this group as all he has, believing that no one would befriend him otherwise, even if they don’t really act much like friends outside of their shared love for mischief and chaos. Though it angers and upsets him, he's used to staying quiet about things that truly bother him to keep the peace or avoid getting yelled at.
As you might expect from a rabbit, he’s got big jumps and swift kicks, and makes up for his lack of physical strength with agility. He’s based on a black-tailed jackrabbit specifically for the long, spindly legs and large ear-to-head ratio. His big ears make him the recon/lookout of the group most of the time, and is the quickest to flee when a plan goes pear-shaped, making it difficult to catch all three of them at once.
If given the choice, Lepus would much rather be an explorer or spelunker, using his quick feet and keen hearing for something more productive. His love of chaos is actually more of a love for adventure and spontaneity, but he found the wrong outlet for it.
Chamaeleon The true leader of the group, hence the name. She goes by Mae for short, but only to those she allows to call her that. Despite her aloof and quiet nature overall, Chamaeleon is the sharpest of the three, and can shut down Lynx’s boisterous attitude or Lepus's shaking cowardice with only a stern look or a blunt word. She’s the brains of the operation, keeps a cool head, and is difficult to outsmart.
She’s even harder to catch with her camouflage, though you’ll know where she’s been with her tags. Being a graffiti artist, she has her spray gun and cans to quickly paint anything she desires, or spray someone else if she's really desperate. Similar to the paint itself, I'd imagine her markings could glow in the dark when she’s not hiding, though she can negate this glow to hide completely when necessary.
Though she’d never show it, Chamaeleon is actually the one who relies on the group dynamic the most. She doesn’t like being apart from them, even if she bullies them when they’re together, and usually favours plans that don’t involve splitting up. In better circumstances she’d probably be the “older sister” type to the other two, looking out for them and making sure they don’t get hurt, but her short fuse and lack of patience doesn't currently lend itself to that kind of dynamic. She is actively mean to them most of the time, though that is often eclipsed by Lynx's louder and more outward type of aggression.
------ So you may be wondering, why did I choose these three to form a group when their constellations normally have nothing to do with each other? Well, that's sort of the point! As you may have noticed, these three don't really get along with each other very well and are dysfunctional as a group, and this is what ultimately leads to their downfall. Their dynamic is meant to be an opposite to the one Cassie has with Demitri, Ellie, and Leena, who are able to work together well despite their individual differences.
After the Chamaeleon Three are returned to the Astral Plane, I plan to explore what happens to them afterwards in a side story that shows the core problems with their group and what they each do about it, but the first part of their arc will be shown in the main story at least.

Currently reading my second LGBT fantasy/sci-fi book of the year. I'm really enjoying it so far, though I'm only a few chapters in. I don't really read much YA anymore, but I don't regret picking this one up (it's on KU, for those subscribed!). It really feels like reading an action adventure manga, but as a book. The playing card thematics are fun, and the setup, like in a lot of good manga, is quite intriguing. Leaving a quote and a summary of the book below!
"Then there were those who walked the line somewhere in between—people like Iori, who weren’t quite sure where they belonged. But in a society obsessed with black and white, gray didn’t fly. Gray was unpredictable."
A girl full of heart  A thief touched by darkness  A boy with a fiery temper  An unwitting servant of evil
The era of magic was once thought to be a myth, but after the Reemergence ushered forces both dark and light into the mundane world, it has since become a harsh reality. Now those affected by this strange power—a specialized group of Empowered called Jokers, known collectively as Cardplay—must protect their world from the darkness that threatens to consume it, all the while fighting for equality in a society clinging to normalcy.
But the Reemergence was only the beginning.
When another influx occurs on the seventh anniversary of that fateful event, an unfortunate encounter at ground zero lands Iori Ryone, a teenage boy in possession of a corrupt and legendary magic, in the care of recent Joker graduate Ellen Amelia Jane. From him, she learns the Reemergence may not have been the inevitable natural disaster it first seemed.
Someone is trying to tear down the barrier that separates the magical realms from the mundane. The question is, can Cardplay stop them before it’s too late?

Insight
I believe it is necessary to put a face to the name of the company "United Health Group/Care." I understand the hatred of it, and the adoration of Luigi Mangione, and it makes sense to feel a sense of empowerment. A need to protest, and removal of the company altogether, seems understandable---the company is corrupt, that is not something I will deny. It would be lying to say that, anyways, and I only intend to bring truth to the table.
However, my first sentence still stands. I believe the employees within the company need to be given a face.
There are real people who work there. Brian Thompson was the CEO of a terrible company. He had two teenage children. After he was murdered, employees at UHG/C were scared, especially those of higher ranks. I've heard people say that that's a good thing. It's incredibly dehumanizing. I believe that the company should be taken down, yes, and I believe that healthcare should have a brighter future, but this is not the way to do it. Kill them off, one by one? There is always another CEO to be appointed. And, don't you feel remorse? Do you not see the humanity behind these employees? Do you not see that, like everyone else, they are trying to make a living? Good or bad, there is no one, singular enemy. It is the company, it is not each individual worker.
I believe in your cause, but I don't believe in your tactics. Each attempt with be short-lived, and I don't say that to discourage you or look down on you, I say that to inform you. I say that to explain that there is a better way than the violence that you so encourage. I say that to let you know that you are cutting weeds rather than pulling them. I know that peaceful protests haven't worked. I understand that this shook the company. And I'm not saying we are becoming just as bad. I'm asking if you genuinely believe it is ethical to bring down the company and everyone in it.
It is just like how those who work at McDonald's don't encourage bad health, but are still part of the problem. One could argue that UHG/C is made up of bigoted, rich bitches who won't find another job because they're petty, but don't you want to feed your family? Don't you want to make it somewhere in life? We are all constantly searching for success.
And, to address the "bigoted rich bitches," that's not everyone. I know people who work within the company, and, no, I wasn't told by them to be on their side---in fact, I thought Luigi's actions were important, and I still do respect him entirely. I don't believe he should be put to death. But it helped me have a bit more of an understanding of the fact that they're human, and while you joke around about how hot he is, or make memes and edits of this man, they are struggling to get into work and do their job without people threatening to literally kill them, too. They are worried about what hatred people are banding together over that might threaten their ability to do their work, or even get paid.
UHG/C isn't made up of entirely rich, white, heterosexual men. It isn't one person. It isn't one enemy. It is made up of a diverse group of people, of color, disabled, immigrant, and queer. You cannot generalize it. Together, they make your enemy, but apart, they are simply people trying to do their job. People who have families. People who have partners. People who have pets. People who have skin, and bones, and a brain, and a heart, just like you. I believe in your cause. I believe in what you want as an outcome. I believe in free healthcare, in equality within it, and in being generous and keeping people alive. But it isn't so simple. Shooting one person does not save those who are denied the access to healthcare they need.
I wish I could give you a foolproof plan, I wish I could tell you that it's easy, but I can't. There's someone smarter than me out there who will know, someone who will work with others to find a way out of this all. But, until then, I disagree. I just don't want people to think that the people within the company are to blame. There isn't one man that makes all the decisions, and it isn't everyone who believes in this healthcare system. I just believe there is a better way.
What he did was effective. What he did will impact the company as long as it stands. I just ask you to only do what is truly necessary. If you will refuse to know them, know me. This isn't from the enemy you think it is. This is from a queer, liberal, person of color who just wants to come home knowing that their relatives are still alive.

@professorscrooge:
Additional Propaganda: Satine has raised (or was some kind of parental role to) a nearly model citizen/future politician who wanted to help people, uphold justice, end corruption etc. From what little we see of him, Satine passed her ideals and drive on to Korkie. Jaster trained/traumatised his adopted son into becoming one of the galaxy's biggest war criminals.
@raspberryzingaaa:
#yeah i dont care im still pro jaster lmfao not sorry #listen you also cant actuallu fully judge what their prowess was bc both had circumstances that were being affected by the sith #satine was only allowed to reign for so long because having a weak mandalore was good for palps #also you cant fully decimate a culture and call it ruling. like not even just the armor but everything alse #and its also very hard to tell what is true based on the cartoons bc were all the mandos blue eyed blonde bc of animation reasons? #bc one of the old mando things was adoption and a broad mix of species. #but yeah we cant really/fully tell bc of the sith influences. but imo i think the guy the sith Really didnt want in power might be best #and i am absolutely not a satine hater. i love her and i repect where shes coming from #but also the rep com books were an influential part of my teenage hood (for better or for worse)
(I did promise to share even the arguments that are based in fanon. Sorry.)
@prankprincess123:
#listen - this is quite possibly an actual political debate that (at least part of) mandalore actually had in canon #cause jaster died just a handful of years before satine came to power and was relevant to the circumstances surrounding such #and in an ideal universe youd have the supercomandos and new-mandalorians finding equal ground #and working together to deal with death watch (who ultimately took down both groups and helped blow up the planet) #but jaster is enough of a mess that he was one of the triggers of the civil war that ultimately put satine in charge #and she took this disaster and turned it into a functional government/culture/system and kept it that way for ~20y #and the only reason it didnt stay functional is because *checks notes* the sith decided they dont like her #like how competent of a ruler must you be for the cult thats been trying to destabilize your rule to turn to evil wizards for help #and how much of a widespread force for good must one be to have an evil wizard cult decide that you specifically need to die #satine should win by a landslide
@ironborealis:
#Mereel's reforms were the stepping stones to Satine's succesful rule #But his vision was too small #Satine and Mereel BOTH struggled with corruption inside their ranks #The way she tears off on a speeder to rescue Kenobi in her first episode? #Satine isn't afraid of a fight #she just wants to prevent unnecessary conflicts #some of y'all don't understand the philosophies of nonviolence at all #Satine can be as ruthless as any other Mando #She will not hesitate to fuck someone up #She literally burned a fucking warehouse full of evidence because she wanted to send a message that corruption was not tolerated
Tumblr media
FINALE - You might want to read the propaganda this time. Lots of misinfo in fandom on these two in particular.
Remember, this is NOT about who would win in a fight. This is about who makes the best leader for Mandalore as a whole.
Explanation post
Seeding
Propaganda below the cut! You can submit more on this post and I will reblog it back to here! I was going to keep the text-only bits above the readmore, but we got enough in that it takes up more space than I thought.
Yes, I will even reblog the stuff based on fanon, but I will judge you for it.
SATINE KRYZE
Anon: Satine because she served. Mandalorian fashion week would love her. Manda'slay.
Anon: Satine Propaganda: Was supported by the STRONG MAJORITY, led Mandalore to be in peace for NEARLY 20 YEARS, didn't ban mando'a or armour or any part of the culture like fandom claims, is a good fighter, considered EVERY Mandalorian a Mandalorian and didn't discriminate
@lightsaberwieldingdalek: Satine propaganda: she actually ran a functioning government. Not a mercenary band, or a death cult, or a terrorist extremist organisation, an actual functioning government. Yes there was corruption, corruption she did her best to stop to the point of personally getting in firefights with smugglers, but she took a planet devastated by civil war and by the end of her rule she had schools, public works, and a justice system. - Sure, the rest can run military operations (and we don’t know Satine couldn’t, only that she *won’t*) but can they make the bins get emptied regularly to go to the recycling plants?
@lightsaberwieldingdalek: I understand Jaster has the tacticool appeal, and has the iconic armour, but guys. He did an interpretation of some problematic historical values for the more modern day, led a mercenary band, and under unknown circumstances his group started calling him the historical-cultural title of the ruler of their entire cultural group. I know he’s cool looking, and shoots real good, but at most he’s the equivalent of someone who could be a cult leader but doesn’t want to be. - Meanwhile. Satine. You have issues with her ethical code, and she’s not a cool cause she doesn’t wear the armour. And yet she is the one who *actually ran mandalore*. For 20-ish years, and not only kept it stable but built it up from the ruins of civil war! - Yes yes T-helmet cool and military man competence nice, but that cannot equal taking the ruins of a war torn society and turning it into a mostly peaceful (when terrorism happened it was a big shocking deal, not normalised) urbanised people who eat well, have access to luxury and specialised education (get a offworld Jedi to come lecture) and can ACTUALLY BREATH IN THE ATMOSPHERE RUINED BY ALL THE WARLORDS LIKE JASTER TRYING TO FIGHT THE REPUBLIC TO PROVE THEMSELVES.
Anon: Satine propaganda: she knows what the aftermath of war is like. Jaster knows war from a soldier's perspective, a commander's perspective. But Satine knows it from a noncombatant's perspective. She's seen the aftermath and wreckage it leaves behind. Rebuilding after a war takes far longer and likely costs more than the war itself. I don't think Jaster cares about what happens after the battle. But Satine most certainly does.
@archangelsunited: Efficient and long lasting leader of her faction for years, was able to navigate neutrality with the Republic during the Clone Wars. Excellent Hair pieces.
@publiusmaximum: She allowed her society to experience it's first moment of peace and prosperity in a thousand years. - After she was killed, her society was taken over by fascists and gangsters. In short order Mandalore was razed, made uninhabitable, and her people scattered. - Satine was right about everything.
JASTER MEREEL
Anon: Jaster is the one who should rule Mandalore and all Mandalorians, although he started small he searched to make a new code of conduct for Mandalorian bounty hunters, he tries to keep the culture intact yet keep Mandalore progressive and not stuck in the past and from killing each other.
@spacetime1969: He literally rewrote what it means to be Mandalorian, and he created an entire movement around said philosophy that had a good chance of becoming the controlling party of Mandalore if he hadn't been assassinated. What more do you want?
Anon: Jaster for the win, he's the most recent one who actually knows some shit (as much as I love Din Djarin this poor man doesn't know ANYTHING), besides Jango and Boba but they're both very unstable individuals.
@nerdpickle: Jaster, his philosophy perfectly balanced tradition and reform, keeping the best of both worlds, he was also one of the few people chosen by the people
Mereel is a strong and powerful leader. He defeated the traiter Tor Viszla in battle and even took in a poor, orphaned Concordian child after the battle. No more will Mandalore be forced to consider such petty ideals as peace in order to avoid outright war. Instead, we shall be known throughout the galaxy as the greatest mercenaries the galaxy has ever known. Under his rule, we shall triumph over the foolish savages of planets unconquered and be paid handsomely for it!

@archangelsunited: Had a structured document for Mandalorian Culture in the modern (tm) day. He fought with the warriors he sent out and took personal interest in the results of his actions (Jango Fett mentorship). Pissed off Tor Vizla.
@nerdpickle: Satine’s Mandalore was like Switzerland, except without the well trained military, incredibly advantageous terrain, high gun ownership and giant nuclear armed alliance providing a free buffer zone on all sides.
SATINE
@bosooka: Originally here
i wrote way too much for my original draft of this (and it turned into a "fuck jaster mereel" party) so here's an abbreviated version
Why Satine is a Better Ruler Than Jaster in 2 Simple Points
Point #1: Satine actually maintained order on Mandalore for decades
This one is simple. Mereel became Mandalore in ~60BBY and Tor Vizsla tried to overthrow him a mere two years later (and nearly succeeded). He was only in power for six more years before he was betrayed by the very same violent people he allowed to remain by his side because of his belief that a Mandalorian warrior was "merely a highly-paid soldier".
Contrast Satine: ruled from approx. 42BBY until 19BBY, a reign of 23-odd years. For twenty-odd years of her reign New Mandalore was completely peaceful and there were no challengers to her authority among the people or elsewhere. Death Watch only became an issue again when they received Separatist (and ultimately Sith) backing, and Dooku discarded them for being useless. Had Death Watch not allied itself with Maul's Shadow Collective I don't think she would have been overthrown at all.
Point #2: Satine kept Mandalore out of places it didn't belong
As we've established, Mereel had no issues with Mandalorians being mercenaries, used however their clients saw fit. I won't go into the weeds of the ethical implications of mercenaries and why they are illegal under international law on Earth, but in short: letting anyone pay one to kill others is the easiest way to become the cudgel of a fascist. Coincidentally exactly what the Fett clones become when Sidious uses them to exterminate the Jedi. Mereel's "reforms" of the Mandalorian ways did not prevent his troops from getting into a fight they couldn't win against the Jedi on Galidraan (and yes, the Mandalorians shot first:
Tumblr media
not that anyone in the fandom remembers this...) after they but an insurrection down on behalf of the corrupt governor of the planet. To be clear, the True Mandos knew that the governor of Galidraan was corrupt and most likely harboring Tor Vizsla, but they still agreed to kill "insurrectionists" for money. Their problems came when Death Watch arranged to make it look like they had also killed women and children. Truly a war between saints and monsters.
Meanwhile Satine: the head of the Council of Neutral Systems, she refused to take sides in a war pushed by the greedy and violent. Yes, she was briefly protected by clones when it comes to light that Death Watch is aligned with the Separatists, but it was immediately followed by the Republic attempting to militarily occupy Mandalore and Satine risking life and limb to keep her people autonomous. Satine refused to become a useful idiot for warmongers, even knowing that it would have been economically advantageous for her to do so. Unlike Jaster Mereel, she has ideals that she values more than credits. He would have accepted an offer from the highest bidder and turned Mandalore into a machine of war for the Sith, just like his Crusader ancestors once did.
Tl;Dr
Satine was actually respected as an authority on Mandalore for literal decades and was only challenged by a miniscule faction of terrorists who had to get foreigners to interfere in their political processes (FML) in order to actually take power from her
Satine kept Mandalore out of conflicts it did not belong in, which largely protected it from military occupation and destruction until the year she died; Mereel made a career out of interfering in the affairs of other planets if they were paid to do so
Unlike Mereel and his successor, Satine had morals to motivate her decisions that were not the pursuit of cold hard cash, including the protection of Mandalorian independence and neutrality

“Be thankful we only want equality” Be thankful Men give a hoot about you to begin with. (The Folly of Gynocentrism, the luxury of “Girl Power”)*rant
Tumblr media
If all men turned asexual tomorrow? Yes, the sex infractions against women would somewhat cease to a degree but so would the privileges & double standards many immensely enjoy at the expense of men BECAUSE men want to have sex with women, BECAUSE men/western first world culture puts women on a pedestal, unearned on women’s part individually, BECAUSE straight men (prevailing number of men) want to have sex with women.
Now, context.
This is essentially an extended response to a very odd-ongoing delusional attitude that (women should takeover) or something / or women did males a favor by only wanting “equality” or what they think is equality but in reality is equal opportunity+ double standards their foremothers DID NOT have, ie. modern women blind to the privilege but got lip.
Hence the issue, thus my confusion.
To Clarify: Nobody specific brought this tangent on, it’s a general address to a cultural problem brought on by propaganda (which is not women’s fault), so what better way to TRY to address it than pointing it out, yet again.
Now the original meme “Be thankful we only want equality” is old, I remember when this garbage or a variant was first on this site. So the Meme is not new but the issue, the attitude inside of it, is still relevant. Same needless attitude i’ve been noticing for the past….15–20 years?
An attitude that did not exist in the 70s, not the 50s-the 80s were fun. The 90s, decent.
Which is appropriate because notice the decline in births in America since the good ol’ 70s, that is not an accident.
But you can’t really blame majority or vocal minority of women & girls for being on this misandry vibe when they’re encouraged to do it with no consequence or challenge:
Hold em accountable? Yes, but I know what’s going on. And it’s not women trying to derail civilization or make men their nemesis, it’s much worse. They’re being used.
Sure some corrupt men create corrupt women, and vice versa but kids aren’t coming out the womb trying to antagonize the other side. This is learned.
And if it’s not taught by the parent(s), it will be taught by the village:
SOCIETY.
Because if these ladies that feel this strongly, if they are about that life, they’d take this energy to Africa or direct it to places where girls are being made to be brides as young as 12, treated like things.
Or the middle east, where things go on that I’m not even going to speak about here.
You know how easy it is to do paperwork, get on a Delta flight & go make a change? But you see, they’d rather save the venom for their homeland where they arguably (for the most part) in many ways have it the best in the world- Where they know them men will just take it.
Example: America. Where they can complain and moan & slander, & cancel, and assault without fear of being dragged out of their house & beaten for treason or something. Or they are allowed to vote, do sports, enter politics, can drive, can marry other women, walk outside by themselves etc.
You see, that reality, will never sink in for most people. THAT’S how good some us have it (men and women) to not even naturally consider that in the first place, how good we have it in the West in general.
The OP of the original meme was probably some misguided teenage girl who thought she was making a point when it just shows that (regardless of what’s really going on above society) some/ too many women are delusional to think they have ANY leverage to say anything remotely close to or resembling a threat:
Not to Dogs, but to Male human beings, the same group of people that can wrestle bulls, form entire sports around violence, directors of the Armed Forces (and made up majorly of males) and can punch holes in walls.
Lmfao, yeah that’s smart, make those people your enemy when in reality all they want to do is protect you, whether if you earned that honor or not, a lot of men will just hand it to you for your attention.
Society doesn’t revolve around women, but it’s pretty damn close.
Yeah, screw that good deal up because you want to be different for no reason. Because message. Because hashtags & likes make you feel good about yourself.
Or more likely, you might have a good point about injustice against women in modern day, but you’re not delivering it how you should (like a visual of a woman *Medusa* holding a man’s head, communicating the overtone of a threat to male-kind), so the message gets muddied.
And the worst offense is the meme isn’t even championing or representing women in 3rd worlds with ZERO rights, not explicitly.
No these are first world spoiled crop tryna tell you you’re the lucky one because they didn’t push the envelope to demand more privileges or outright war on an entire sex, while completely disregarding that they have it better than most; That’s the real issue besides the obvious misandry.
But for real, let’s break down the hypothetical, just for fun, let’s start with some lore:
All the times we see a woman assault a man, nobody panics.
He hits back, he gets swarmed by everyone on some horde bs like out of a Zombie movie:
Tumblr media
Pure 100% female privilege. We see it all the time, some more than others on YouTube. It’s funny at first, until you realize it’s not a skit and women are so oppressed they can assault people and be protected from retaliation.
Blatant male expendability communicated in real time, dangerous shit but okay. “Men don’t matter”, okay fine, that’s the narrative —
But you want to talk about Equality? How?
Your foremothers wanted Equality and you inherited a hybrid of opportunity, benefits, & privilege, a protected class status (naturally), you actually measure above most men (exception being elites, those who know the right people & select frat boys) in social hierarchy in A LOT of first world countries. Even the Bible puts the wife’s safety before the husband.
A Buffet line of double standards and benefits with the option to leave out accountability at any chance most could get away with it.
And society has trained most of us successfully to believe that’s the natural order, I mean, I ain’t even hating on it.
You got yourselves a hustle man, it’s fucked up but I get it.
But the part where you lose me-
is some of us are so high on the privilege- you don’t even realize or understand your position in society, how good it actually is, your unspoken value just by being born female, while it comes with many burdens/ some can be considered a curse (I get it), with that said-
some of us/ you don’t even truly get how important womanhood is.
In the process of inflating girl power & female hubris, womanhood is trivialized. Which is why so many adult females act like children and not women.
And for the life of me, that’s not your fault for not being taught how important that is. This is why culture is so important.
When culture is weaponized against the people to drive them apart and distract them, civilization suffers. When culture is used to pass on knowledge, and bring the village together; Civilization thrives.
America forgot what it’s culture was while trying to adopt everyone else’s.
But all I hear is male privilege. The privilege to get DRAFTED and die first…or just die first in any situation. But women getting DRAFTED is/was a debate?
Uhh where’s the Equality? Why is women getting DRAFTED a debate? Physical Training standards are lower for women in the Military (and other fields) but they can still get paid the same per rank?
What about that gap?
I thought you wanted equality, no? So how’s that okay? Where’s the Equality, I don’t see it. I see privilege.
And that’s fine (it’s not okay, no) but it’s fine though, if women are special snowflakes of society, great, that just means they’re also both the community strength of the village (as they always have been) and are now or have become a weak-link of civilization. Why? There’s a consequence to being protected 24/7, consequence of privilege, is liability.
When the risks of dealing with you outweigh the benefits, do not be surprised if men don’t approach you.
Blame your culture for your ruining what good graces you had left, don’t blame males of the masses.
And in fact, if you getting action relied on men making all the moves, maybe it’s time to grow up and if you want something to happen? Like an adult?
You’d be surprised how awkward women are when asking & getting rejected, because most women have zero charisma, why? They never had to develop it.
Hence liability, hence weak-link.
Because if you have to be told you’re “empowered, strong, powerful” instead of just being that.
It reads like society is inflating your ego at any cost to the point where it sounds less like encouragement vs a narrative that you have to be convinced or propagandized that you’re superior- which is what this is really about.
That by itself should tell you the culture you live in is just hyping you up for the sake of hyping you up; The question is-
“why?”
Girls are actually ahead, Women are more educated. And yet boys & men can’t seem to get any love. Despite making up the majority of suicides, but nobody seems to care about that because it’s not a female problem.
That sound like privilege?
Fact is, you’re being played like a chess piece, and it’s been working like a charm.
There’s have’s and have not’s — if society cares about women more than men, fine, let’s all as a collective just admit that and stop this “Equality” bullshit and just concede that men are a lesser priority because women are that privileged. Which is not equality.
Because even in TV, we can clearly see men aren’t exactly honored in America anymore in the overall culture. Sure there’s superhero movies where guys are cool, but that’s pop-culture, another very powerful propaganda vehicle but meaningless in the long term. Vs in the grand scheme of culture where shit matters? Like policy, or how we treat each other in the street? We just don’t care.
Just don’t overlook your privilege to tell men they have it good when you have NO idea what men go through to make sure your malls get built.
And it’s loooooooooooong overdue that somebody said it that isn’t some misguided MGTOW NPC with a bone to pick with women but instead just stick to goddamn reality & being honest before honesty becomes hate speech.
For a young generation of women, it’s pretty easy to overlook how much of society is built on top of males just to preserve you, regardless of what you might contribute or even want to contribute to men or a man in return. Regardless if you’re attracted to men or not.
Tumblr media
So finally, hypothetically:
If men were free of their attraction to women like a Thanos snap, ALL of that bias for women would go out the window, women would be shell-shocked at the difference.
Not that men wouldn’t like women anymore, women are people, men & women would still be friends. But that primal incentive to put you first or ABOVE would logically go away, because the source of the desire to treat you special comes from hormones, attraction.
The Alpha females would be able to compete regardless no question, some ladies are built like that even at 16-19 years old. I’ve met some real Valkyries in my time, not enough, but shotty parenting & incompetent society is to blame for that, girls aren’t trained anymore.
But the vast majority of women wouldn’t be able to handle that paradigm shift if men’s sex drive for them specifically just ceased overnight. Some are too used to getting carried by males giving a damn & putting you above them for no reason that you’ve actually earned.
Especially in the dating game, again, some are too passive and expect men to do everything and you’re told that’s “the game” but the only one’s getting played are the men. That’s why it’s called a “game”.
This generation absolutely raised grown-girls and few to no women. No cap. And that’s NOT women’s fault.
I repeat:
While women should be held accountable, it’s equally true that Women not performing as they should, is not their fault- If they weren’t taught to bring anything to the table.
How are they going to do what they were never taught or trained to do? Society failed men and women.
So furthermore, without that hormonal block males can’t turn off unless overwritten by rage, then we’d treat you like true equals, no more special treatment, no more kid gloves, no more female pedos sleeping with 12 yr olds and getting off Scott-free because (she purdy), no more double standards because woman.
Say what you want, hit whoever you want, lie on who you want, send them to jail when they’re innocent but your identity is protected still AND get away with it because you’re born with the right Starter-pack. (Yes all of that is real, look it up.)
Must be nice. But all I hear about is male privilege. I remember at one point #KillAllMen was a legitimate hashtag, #MenArtTrash is a popular one on Tumblr even today.
It’s just amazing how dense we are, while walking into buildings men constructed. Your HVAC systems? Men. Those little holes in the ceiling panels at work? Men. Carpets? Men.
The Sewers? Mainly men.
Point being: Do not take a man’s fuck to give for women for granted. Because if you lost that main advantage in nature or let’s say after the upcoming economic collapse and it’s every man/woman for themselves to get food? And every unspoken social taboo that you rely to protect you when things get tense, all of that gone?
You wouldn’t stand a chance.
Because a female, as an animal, their main advantage beside their organization in communities, direct influence to the children, is ultimately the effect they have on males, the strongest. Men caring about them, wanting them. What’s the primary advantage against men when that’s gone? Do not take it for granted.
Women procure more people, they do not create life, let me expand on that, because that’s another Ego-trip some women seem to get high on and for the wrong reasons:
WOMEN- do not “create life”, Men & Women create life.
Women and men are a co-joined entity, when together they are then a physically complete human that can “create”, which is why both parties can’t create anything on their own.
A woman by herself, isn’t creating anything. If you could spawn a little one all on your own, no seed, just asexual mutation; Congrats sis, you just created life.
Tumblr media
As much as we’re made to fight these days, we’re not a separate group, men and women alone are in reality an incomplete model of a human entity.
So the Eve deriving from Adam mythos has some weight to it, separate components, we are incomplete. When joined, life happens. It's almost poetic as it is literal.
It’s why not being with someone bothers most people so much, it’s not entirely insecurity. For while being single is the default state of existence after nothingness; Being with someone satiates your natural want to become a “whole”.
But strictly on a physical/meta-physical level, not being with someone doesn’t mean as a person you’re forever incomplete unless you’re latched to someone. Some people operate better alone, and do not need to be physically whole to be complete.
Some people can become their complete version without another person. But just know, that isn’t most people.
It’s joined together are we in our true form, because we are a co-unit, hence the baby, a genetic big-bang, a new universe, little hands, beating heart, the works.
Same goes for ethnicity, which is why things are better when we get along. We’re not truly separate until we force it to be that way, which is why divisive propaganda like *Civil War 2024* has lost it’s ability to be subtle these days.
Or? The powers that be have realized they don’t need to be subtle anymore.
Women maturate life, they nurse it, they carry, they are the threshold of life.
The only natural threshold of human life.
Men possess the means to allow women to do even that. Men are the Progenitors, the foundation, the beginning. And if we’re not careful, they will be the end of it.
(And I’m not going to specify or elaborate that on purpose, just let that sit on your brain)
Point being: Men are TOO used to being told these days they don’t get a choice, they have no say about the baby, they have no power, deserve less & less, but do more and more for women, she doesn’t have to earn anything of what he has to offer.
Just serve, nod, be quiet, and that’s “As he should”.
I mean, my god, what happened. This shit wasn’t like this in the 90s.
WHAT HAPPENED?!
The century turned and things just switched for the absolute worst. Yeah people live longer, but at what cost.
I’d rather live a good short life than a long dreary miserable one.
This current culture is too blasted comfortable, I swear man some of us lost our minds and forgot what a MALE is.
People really don’t realize how much civilization rides on men getting up and going to work and not asking questions.
That day without women stunt was cute way back when, but if Men pulled that? It would be chaos.
We must stop antagonizing men & lessening their importance in the minds of the collective because we’re so used to Men being used to abuse and disrespect.
And then we wonder where toxic pathetic/ even prophetic Fetishes like Macrophilia aka MacroCreeps aka Giantess aka “Needs positive female Attention ASAP” or “the Boy Desperately Needs a hug from his mother ASAP — “ Fetish
The fetish where woman is god, the giantess represents toxic matriarchy, toxic gynocentrism.
And the popular fantasy is she destroys civilization & gets a happy ending after casual genocide because someone got her order wrong at Starbucks.
Gee I wonder where they possibly could’ve gotten the narrative to form a fetish/cult around male expendability, female privilege/superiority and zero accountability- in a society that revels in propagandizing male expendability, female privilege/superiority and zero accountability.
I just can’t nail the connection.
Tumblr media
Just absolutely amazing what some cultures produce because some parents refuse to do their jobs and the culture is that hateful & toxic, so naturally people will then develop mass stockhol syndrome/ fetish turned borderline cult and embrace that hatred & revolve around it.
No child comes out the womb wanting to draw & make videos of giant women/people/ women in general being a curse to humanity.
That’s what a giantess in this fetish is, a burden to humanity. Something the world doesn’t want, a woman with power. Which is not true.
Tumblr media
I know what femdom is, I get it. Wanting an assertive woman in general to emulate Alpha Female energy is nowhere close to wanting to be abused, mistreated or Satanic level horrors on a city-wide, sometimes global scale. The difference is GENO-CIDE.
Let me repeat me that:
Wanting abuse and “GENO-CIDE”, clear difference. Oblivion of men, women and children (Yes, these people insinuate mass infantcide seeing as how cities include babies too- Oops, Right?
In fact, there’s a video on Youtube where someone edited characters from a Rom-Com anime in a scenario where they wipe out a city & the editor included a clip from (MY HERO ACADEMIA Season 4) of a child crying in a panicked crowd before being flattened to death.
A human shared that with humanity, full confidence. Why are we okay with this?
“GIANTESS” is in reality a cry for help. And you’ll have people liking the video, and the OP actually plugged in their patreon. Lmfao, I mean, get the bag i guess?! LOL
Pledge for more slaughtered children & misandry, “please support my patreon“
The West has derailed. This is what Gynocentrism created. Mini-Woman worship cults where slaughtering cities & kids is a fetish.
But these same people won’t put this energy into raising their own goddamn kids or making their partners happy.
See, nobody naturally wants to paint women in that light & devote almost a lifetime to it, that shit is not NOT normal, nor healthy.
But that’s the power of propaganda, corruption, twisting the natural order of one’s mind, social-conditioning/programming. The works.
The point of propaganda is to break you without alarming you, re-write you without erasing you.
And it’s a slow burn, it’s never instant. Corrupt breeds corrupt ideas.
Tumblr media
“Repeat after me. Woman is god. Men are insignificant. We are powerless before our goddess.“
Which leads back into main topic/real life:
-because as these dropping birthrates in America, Japan, China, etc. show — Men are and have eventually gotten sick of the abuse & neglect and Civilization will suffer for it.
And as macrocreeps seem to glorify: Civilization will eventually collapse, and gynocentrism is a major factor for why.
NOT THE reason. A reason.
Gynocentrism is the sole Mother of the bastard child known as “Macrophilia” but Gynocentrism is not the sole reason why civilization will collapse which is what Macrophilia glorifies over and over again: Collapse of Civilization (Hence why the fetish is pathetic and prophetic: Gynocentrism leads to collapse)
The fetish emulates it’s mother.
But these fetishists won’t catch onto that because they’re too busy salivating over the dead bodies on the floor. Good job there parents.
Not that women having the same opportunities is the issue, but “GYNOCENTRISM”/Misandry are the problem.
Women having a chance to live their/ a life is not the same as society putting them on a pedestal to the point of woman worship which breeds more toxic, more disturbing woman worship (macrocreeps) in the first place.
Human Rights and Privilege/ The Rights of Women vs Woman Worship Culture; They are not the same thing.
That is the (Folly of Gynocentrism): you prop women up for their benefit and in the end, they suffer along with the men they’re propped above. Everyone loses.
You can not treat women like 2nd class citizens/ as things or pieces of meat to summon for sex & dismiss and expect a healthy or sane society for long.
And you can not leave men behind, & dehumanize them to deify women and expect your civilization to last. When your civilization needs men to work to make it work, and to protect it AND the women to survive.
The math is against you, against us all. But it also goes against humanity’s natural instinct as a network, on both accounts which IS WHY the statistics show things are on a decline.
It starts with the family, redefine what normal is, split up women & men, corrupt, divide, conquer, redefine, redefine, challenge norms, abolish roles so now women are confused, men frustrated, destabilize. Destabilize.
Empires fall.
Telling girls they deserve better without telling them to be or HOW to be worthy of that treatment and why it’s their duty to do so, is the folly.
Women do not have obligation or duty, just as America forgot what it’s culture was. Where it’s backbone went.
Just take, take, take and you deserve it because you’re the woman. Some think their personality is what they bring to the table.
Hold women more accountable but stop holding it AGAINST them when they don’t bring enough to the table because society and their parents were incompetent and didn’t train them to be useful in any way.
“Hold them accountable, but it’s not their fault.”
I get how conflicting that sounds, but if we’re going to face this or complain about it, we have to face the issue at the root. The beginning.
Same goes for the males, they’re also not making men like they used to because we’re castrating them, not training these kids to be respectful or skill, just raising them.
Because some of these boys with confidence, just don’t know how to conduct themselves with women, which is what leads to problems, and women not trusting men.
Not enough Men & MENTORS for these baby boys. Just grown-boys trying to raise themselves or remain little boys forever, hence the attraction to schoolgirls & aversion to women.
Grown men in the West that refuse to grow up by rejecting women; who will expect & drive them to step up. And instead cling to “kawaii/cute” culture in japan, a country that has nothing to do with them.
The girl has to be cute or tsundere or whatever the fuck, not mature, not responsible, not a challenge — A challenge?! Hell NO!
Or a 5'000 year old Mage that just happens to look like a 12 year old child with G-Cup breasts and acts like a 6 year old.
Tumblr media
Again, the amount of American males clinging to Anime culture just amazes me, ONLY because of the amount of excuses they make for the pedo-content. Then when women start complaining that creepy anime is creepy, then the boys start crying “woke”. NO? Women/Twitter/Woke Culture are not the problem (this time) for calling it out, the problem is WHY DIDN’T YOU call it? Good sir, why didn’t you?
Many retreat to games, fantasy, fetishes, anime where scumbag main characters are rewarded female attention no matter how disgusting they are (convenient, isn’t it?), and then some pull away from real women because the ladies are not just giving themselves away like the waifu’s in their little shows.
This Kawaii/ Cute obsession Japan possesses has also contributed to their own birthrate/sex assault issues but I’m going to leave that alone.
TL;DR — Both the problem and solution of Gynocentrism and this hostility of the sexes starts at home.
Men are so simple and predictable, which is a good thing. VERY low maintenance creatures, very consistent as a whole, with high returns if the boys are trained properly.
(With baby Girls is a bit different, only because society will corrupt their ego differently than boys)
Example (an average superhero movie with a male lead like Spider-man usually teaches a lesson for boys to learn from in a good way, responsibility. Vs a female led movie where the heroine learns that she’s special and that’s her power; narcissism) Very different play on hubris. Both get a power fantasy, but the moral is different.
The fact is an average male will hand you the keys to his kingdom for less than what you’d be willing to offer in return, far less than what he’s willing to give; You’d have to be an idiot to take that for granted.
Doesn’t mean say “yes” to every guy that asks, I know awkward poorly adjusted grown-boys exist, especially today. But keep in mind the position you hold as the woman. Don’t scoff at that because that’s the only experience you know.
Peacetime went to some people’s heads, that’s another situation that happened.
War usually brings people together like an Alien invasion unites Earth. Or 9/11 united New York.
So to repeat my earlier point, when there’s peace, people tend to create problems, artificial chaos out of boredom. Or it’s created for us:
Tumblr media
That might soon change and we’re going to see where #GirlPower gets us when shit hits the fan, the alarm goes off across the nation and that DRAFT rolls in.
If that happens (I hope it doesn’t, but it will) We’re going to see just what female empowerment is worth while everyone is looking to men to handle it.
Stay in your lane. Be humble. Be thankful.
While we’re past the point of recovery, it’s not too late to be the exception and possibly build something.
Women have their own struggles, very real struggles, and if they’re a protected class, fine, a village naturally huddles around children, then women, and then men. But we need to be honest about that, and stop pretending equality means anything, some of us need to be AWARE of how good you/they/we have it.
Again, where people lose me:
is they overlook their own good situation to tell dudes how good they have it or have the absolute nerve to insinuate men are lucky women only wanted equality- as if women would try anything and not buckle immediately if men really took them seriously as a threat to that extent, you have no idea how fast that shit would get shut down.
Women as a cooperative collective are a force of nature, they move & direct civilization after it's built. But a single Man with an ambition can start a nation. Men as a collective? Are innovators of frontiers as well as world-breakers.
Get that through your head.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile men make up majority fatalities across the board anyway doing jobs that most women refuse to contribute to, but society for a while was trying to propagandize girls into STEM; yet there’s well paying jobs (that need more people right now) women could be working anyway; But nobody is having that conversation though.
Men aren’t god’s gift to the world, they’re lacking hard as well, they’re not 100% victims either. But stop taking them for granted & talking slick just because you’re used to men just taking it and most of what you watch signals that it’s not a big deal vs someone losing their job because they said you looked nice today.
A man’s life/womanhood/baby/marriage/dating/his livelihood/ HIS LIFE for hers is so trivialized nowadays that what a woman should be willing to do to be worthy of that possible sacrifice on his part is not even a talking point. It’s disregarded, thus men.
And that is not going to last forever, and you shouldn’t expect it to; because women would never put with it if it was (and for a time it actually was) reversed- Women would not, and did not put up with it, rightfully so.

So thinking about that 'nerds corruption arc' idea
Here's how my Hatchetfield OCs would react to it:
Sunset - literally so disappointed in all of them. She thought they were at least semi-decent people but they're just like her stupid brother. Cuts them all off after high school, goes to collage and becomes an attorney in law. Replaces a by then retired Gary Goldstein as the only attorney in Hatchetfield when she comes back(<- part of my general 'everyone lives future au' btw). She'll happily run across the court room defending two opposing sides than deal with the group. Stays friends with PJ and Reese and pretty much lives her best life so long as she avoids those jerks.
Ani - she initially enjoys it while the group is in high school because mean teenagers are so funny to her. Slowly gets a little concerned for her brothers when they keep getting summoned and ending up with worse and worse deals. Stops finding the Group funny when they reach adulthood and stay jerks (mean adults are so BORING and Lame to her) and just. Moves on to watching another batch of suffering Hatchetfield High students.
Maddie - moves to Hatchetfield as an adult, goes into the anime store OP mentioned the group owning in a reblog of the post once, interacts with the Very Rude Manager (Richie) and his Equally Rude Staff (the rest of the group) and they're so unhelpful and unpleasant that she leaves the store in disgust. She's the only person willing to drive to Clivesdale to get to the other Anime Store because she used to live in Clivesdale. Basically a timeline where she doesn't become friends with Richie.
Bonus points:
Maddie meets Sunset, who reveals her brother (Max) is one of the owners and part of the Very Rude Staff at the Anime Store. They both apologise about it - Maddie because Sunset is related to one of the Very Rude Staff and Sunset because Maddie had to interact with them. Sunset doesn't even care when she finds out Maddie is from Clivesdale because having to face That Lot is probably punishment enough.

I think I will bring Oracle!Babs back, Steph angst, her relationship with crime, her mother and father, and how her past will forever change her way of looking at the world.
MORE DUKE!!! I would either make him appear in a bunch of random comics (bc I think it'll be hilarious for him to just be everywhere without an explanation) and I would give him his own solo.
I would bring back Danny Chase, and I would make him annoy Jason, because I think it'll be funny.
RAVENS OLD HAIRCUT BC I LOVED IT WITH MY WHOLE SOUL AND I HATE THE NEW ONE (IM SORRY).
Maybe not exactly good, but trying all she can Talia, I want to explore her change and the way that her morals were twisted and why (racism) and how at the end of the day she'll always be a loving person who loves equally humans and animals the same and the way that her family always comes first but it's a problem when her family is tearing each other into pieces, I want to explore her character outside of Damian and Bruce because her character is amazing even without them.
Also she should be a doctor, like, it should start with her being infiltrated for some reason and then ending with her working on there permanently.
AL GHUL FAMILY, THEIR BELIEFS AND MYTHS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH MAGIC.
Roy and Wally friendship
Roy and Dick friendship
Roy and Donna friendship
Roy and Kory FRIENDship
I would also enjoy writing about Damian, Jon, Maya and Suren's friendship, I want them to be a hero/vigilante team again, I'm pretty sure that Jon and Maya are closer in age rn so I would take advantage of that to make them really close (wlw & mlm solidarity if ykwim).
I would also make Mara part of the team, and to have her and Damian fighting all the time (affectionate) and also to talk about how actually complicated their relationship can be because even though Damian escaped a toxic and abusive environment he left to a new kind of toxic family (love the batfam but y'all need to understand they're toxic and bad to each other a lot of the times they're together) I want them to realize that they both need to heal and that it's going to be terrible and tiring and hard but they can (maybe) end the cycle, I would also love to talk about how what motivates Damian is love and not anger and how not even him knows that.
Maya angst but more in a comic type of way, like, her suit having a dysfunction, or someone wanting to kill her because of something her father did, or the way that she sometimes acts like if she had a normal childhood, I want her to realize that it's okay to be hurt by the past and for her to understand that her pain is important and that she can be weak, also for her to be that Dad friend (trying her best but low-key making everything worse ending with her feeling guilty and useless).
For Jon I think I would make him learn to fight without his powers bc like, he'll be the only one in the group that isn't (wasn't) an assassin so you can't tell me they wouldn't teach him to fight, and to use a sword, and a gun too probably, and to pick a lock and steal a car, I haven't been reading his issues lately so I'm not sure if he managed to be back to school, but if he isn't back to school I would bring him back to school and I would make him and Maya to be classmates, I would also explore the way that being surrounded by really traumatized people can make him think his trauma is nothing and I would make him understand that even though he is Superman he's still a human, a teenager human, and he deserves to be hurt, and to be dumb, and make bad decisions without it ending in the end of the world of something.
For Suren I would make him loose control over his magic in some way, like, maybe I would make him have his magic corrupted, also the whole concept of being a prophet and it corrupting the person is really interesting to me so I would make it part of his character, I would make Raven be his mentor to acknowledge the fact that Raven (mostly) knows how to control her power. I also think they would have a really cool type of relationship and more Titans deserve to me mentors.
And about mentors, a little list of the team and who should be their mentors:
Mara - Kory (how to learn to be human without forgetting where you come from, learning to forgive but not forget)
Maya - Steph (coming to terms with the fact that you're hurt and that your parents affect who you are but the decision of who you become is yours)
Suren - Raven (accepting that there are ugly parts of us that we can't control but we can accept them and make them better and we can make something beautiful out of something horrible)
Jon - Donna, Kory, Dick (understanding your pain, learning that you don't need to be completely human to have humanity in yourself, and learning that regardless of how powerful you are you always need help)
Damian - Talia, Dick (coming to terms with the fact that he's s victim, accepting that Bruce has hurt him and even if he didn't mean it it's not okay and Damian can feel hurt even when it's only about his feelings)
Also I don't think they would call themselves Little League or Tiny Titans, they're teenagers, emo/punk/Gothic teenagers, they'll probably name themselves something like Hunters, Crows or some edgy shit.
Also their missions should be super weird and stupid, like, it they loose this chess match the whole world will end, they have to deliver McDonald's to Buddha, they have to do a quest for different gods except the quests are really weird and dumb.
ALSO THEY WOULDN'T HAVE AN ACTUAL LIDER!!! All of them are bad at being the lider so they just take turns depending on who knows more of the villain.
They would have a band too.
I would bring Mar'i to the main continuity but not in the "Kory gets pregnant" way but more in the "a crazy woman made a clone using Dick's and Kory's DNA and now they have a children who neither of them know what to do with" type of way.
KORY AND DONNA ADVENTURES OF PROTECTING NY
Dick and his relationship with his ethnicity (I think that's what is called? I may be wrong though), the gilt of not being white enough but also not being Romani enough, him learning more about his own culture, etc.
DICK, KORY AND DONNA BEING MORE THAN SUNSHINE CHARACTERS, THEY'RE TRAUMATIZED, THEY HAVE PTSD
Roy being more than a support character and him being smart and capable of doing what he needs to do, he's not stupid y'all.
The original Titans and their trauma and PTSD of being crime vigilantes at 14 or something, like, grown ass adults were beating them, that's a little traumatic yk.
Roy mentioning his family casually.
Also Tim should move on from Robin, he deserves to grow up and Damian deserves to be the current Robin
I KNOW MOST OF THIS ARE REALLY BAD 😞💔 I just think these concepts are really interesting, however thankfully it'll never be canon bc I actually hate to write so 🥳
Also it's late to me so if this is badly writing let's say it's because of that 😋
This poses a common but never dull question... Tell me what the first thing YOU would do if you became a writer at DC with no editorial backlash? What would you make canon? What story would you write? What would you retcon?
