omg no literally ive thought about this so much……

myrielle being so cruel to aerea for something she has no control over (being a bastard) and being brought to court when she was just a baby only to then turn around and have a bastard daughter herself who she loves and pampers and treats like the most special thing in the world . aerea is treated like dirt but daenys has a mother and uncle (cough) and dad (to an extent) who love her and gets everything she asks for and gets to be recognized by court even though an idiot could figure out that she’s not aerion’s and it seems like people just want to pretend like theyre not in exactly the same position . even worse when aerea has to get married off to one of aerion’s friends when he gets sick of having her around while daenys once again gets the better end of the bargain with the ability to protest and choose not to marry until she’s well into adulthood .

i think daenys would try to make friends with aerea at least a few times when they’re smaller but aerea is just too bitter about it to really return the favor and then daenys goes crying to mom about how mean aerea is and she gets even more shit than she already does .

it isn’t daenys fault but she really can barely look at her without thinking about how unfair it is and the blame can’t really be put on the culprit it always comes back to (aerion) because none of them have any standing over him so they all end up going in an eternal circle of loathing each other instead . where else are you supposed to put all these feelings
