gnawing at the bars of my cage bc i'm home for thanksgiving and all i have to draw with is a sketchbook bc i haven't set up my tablet with my laptop (i had like five entire days before i came home that i could have used to draw and actively chose not to)

the plot on earth: happening. everyone crowing around the lore: okay but tell us more about pixie office shenanigans please
Once, a new Pixie intern accidentally ordered Blue-White paper with 97 Brightness instead of Cream-White paper with 98 Brightness. It sent the entire Pixies Corporation into an uproar, and they tried to take over Fairyworld as a result. Y'know. To ban Blue-White paper from existence.
It took weeks for Jorgen to resolve it all and bring the Pixies back in line. After that event, interns had to take a 2-course seminar on the differences of printer paper quality before being tasked to order more printer paper.

Sorry to ask, but I saw your tags on the "there's a beatles in my closet" post and was wondering if you could expand? What else was blocked because of gay stuff?
hi! basically there’s this book called “rock bottom” by geoff baker, who was paul’s publicist for many years but was fired in 2003. geoff baker basically got blacklisted in the industry after he cut ties with paul and allegedly further blacklisted after releasing the book. it’s notoriously hard to find a copy of rock bottom because its initial run was quite limited and (for unknown reasons… 👀) it never had a second run and so is basically impossible to buy - it was even taken down from the amazon kindle ebook store at some point. i’ve also heard that it was incredibly hard to get any publisher to look at the book because no one wanted to get involved out of fear of being sued.
the actual book is about a publicist who works for a controlling arsehole closeted bisexual rock star who ends up getting blackmailed with gay photos from the 70s. the rock star’s name is ian taylor (which is significant since one of paul’s pseudonyms is ian iachimoe - which apparently he asked his friends and family to address letters to in order to stand out) and the rock star’s estranged former writing partner is literally named john (but goes by jack) 😭😭 - to my limited knowledge (i.e reading the few excerpts and posts abt it on live journal) there’s nothing that suggests a relationship between those two but still wild.
obviously it’s not 100% confirmed that the book is at all about paul (geoff has said that it’s not, but also advertised that his experience in the industry helped him write it) or that paul had anything to do with killing it but i would say we can make some inferences as to what happened there tbh

Another idea. Robin being captured in like maybe the 60's Batman or like the Audio Adventures or something. He fully expects Batman will come for him, but thinks it's going to be awhile since he kinda didn't tell Batman where he was going to be infiltrating.
Cue all the other supervillains busting in to rescue the Boy Wonder because that's not how things work and they are the only ones allowed to do him in, thank you. And you didn't even do it properly with a death trap, what the heck, man!
While all the other supervillains are going after the one who captured Robin, Batman just kind of swoops in, rescues Robin, and they head out.

very interested in how marvel + dc are both experimenting with the webtoon format (infinite scroll/minimal paneling + simpler art style) and how what is published in that format is not traditional superhero stories but things that might be more in line generically with what you would find in a webtoon (for example, making a whole comic dedicated to romance, which is a very popular webtoon genre but not a popular genre for the comics you’d find in an american comic book store)
it’s very different from the early days of infinite comics, where the paneling was often very important and it moved from panel to panel with powerpoint animations. and it’s always interesting to see how marvel and dc respond to other comic forms and try to capitalize on what is popular. especially right now when it seems like the traditional comic book industry is perpetually on the edge of dying.

"Sexy" is a word I was not anticipating to read in To Your Eternity
......
Then again I never anticipated a scene where a 10 y/o girl shouts "squeal piggy!" at a pedophile who she has in bondage and is whipping. And then said pedophile goes on to flash his junk at Fushi :)
