Enid's Idea:
Enid Nightshade: Well, Millie, if you ever got on with Hobbes, I know a solution to get Old Snape and H.B. off your back.
Mildred Hubble: How?
Enid Nightshade: Have them think Hobbes had dumped you for me. They'd welcome you with open arms afterwards.
Nicholas Hobbes: Not if they kill us first...

Your description of yourself is the guy with Opinions on Steven Universe so say what you think of Peridot
Fond of her. I don't think I've got much to say about her that the more singularly fixated SU analysts haven't gotten to. I will say that she's a pretty salient example of a quote-unquote "redemption arc" that's facilitated in large part by the villain being "redeemed" never having actually caused serious, lasting, unfixable harm before switching sides, such that the story being told in practice is the story of an interpersonally unpleasant person working on themselves and learning to be less of a tar pit- jazzed up with ray guns and cartoonish doomsday devices. This is interesting taken on its own terms, but not necessarily morally interesting in the way the phrase "redemption arc" would ideally imply.
Contrast (unfavorably) with Entrapta in She-Ra, where they're clearly chasing a Peridot-adjacent energy, but the narrative treats the conflict between her and the protagonists as a similar kind of souped-up interpersonal miscommunication when no, she's in fact on the hook for very literal war crimes in a way the narrative was never really prepared to weigh seriously due to the use of a handful of Princesses as a metonym for everything meaningful SPOP is interested in trying to say, to the exclusion of more literal, non-metaphorical worldbuilding. Zuko, meanwhile, sits in a happy middle ground where he genuinely is attached to some morally heinous shit that the show is interested in weighing and unpacking, but not so deeply attached as to become synonymous with it in a way that would make his redemption come across as apologetics. (I sort of use these three as reference points when calculating how annoyed to get at the writing decisions of whatever children's cartoon I'm currently watching- this does not translate very well outside of that space methinks)

Since I completed the game I thought I'd make a quick tierlist on the (mostly general) thoughts on each characters main stories (the top tierlist) and the crossroads chapters (the bottom one)

Something i love about when anne rice decides to go out of her comfort zone and write a female character, is that woman is 100% guarenteed to be a badass mommy dom with more balls than any of her stupid twinks could ever dream of having

reyna as the leader of camp jupiter and hazel as the outcast. neither can opt out of the system the way jason and nico, their counterparts, have, because the camp needs reyna and hazel needs the camp and neither have anywhere else to go. both so alone but unable and unwilling to help the other directly, uninterested in saving the other, instead going through the intermediaries of percy and hylla. both stoically bearing their burdens but inevitably going to crack under the strain. they have to be accommodating they have to polite and thoughtful at all times or they won’t survive in their positions. all duty little freedom and they aren’t friends and they’re both being manipulated by octavian and neither is allowed to snap in public. so strong but so lonely. roman girls <3

Sush this isn't relevant to anything. You didn't see this.
Bye. Go away.
No really. There's nothing important here. I haven't thought of anything meaningful to put here.
I'm telling you, go away.
No, but seriously, BYE, go away!
Fine, fine, if you really want to see something, here's a quote:

I'm not one for overly romanticising the past too much, I'm pretty happy I live in the time I live in now, but there's always a little part of me that is pretty gutted that because the time we live in, it is literally impossible for me to ever hang out with Tolkien and Lewis. I'm not even saying they were perfect guys or whatever; I'd probably have moments of wanting to punch them in the face. I have moments of wanting to punch some of my best friends in the face too. That doesn't mean they wouldn't be fantastic to hang with.

I just think shows like Grey's Anatomy, where a lot of their drama comes from sex and romance, are missing the comedic potential of including an aroace character. Just imagine after seasons of characters being constantly horny, there's a character who's just like "no thanks."
I could see this going two ways. A one-episode character, whose probably a patient and happens to mention they're aroace, causing the doctors incredible confusion, and knowing them, they're probably going to ask invasive questions or talk behind the aroace character's back before learning to accept them. I feel like Meridith or Cristina would think they were lucky. Alex or Mark would be the one asking invasive questions. Izzy would probably think they're sad. But I just want the doctors' assumptions and thoughts about sex/romance to be challenged.
The second way I could see this going is a reoccuring character who is used to contrast the rest of the cast. One version of this is that this character is in the closet, and becomes friends with the main characters. So the main characters would ask questions about their sex/love life, and the aroace character would be like, "Yes, I've had all the sex, lots and lots of the sex." And try to get away as quickly as possible. Another version would be if they were open about it, and they'd see the messes the main characters sex/love lives would be, and are like "Thank god I'm immune."
