Tiny cc making tips

Over the years of making cc i've picked up some tricks along the way. These are just some of them in a tiny format. So not a tutorial of any kind, just some tips and tricks! I'm sure many are already doing some of these things and some might require you to Know things already. This is NOT the only one way to do things, it's just how I do things. I wont go in to super detail since it's not a tutorial but i'll try to add as much info as possible and then let you figure it out. Or send an ask.

When naming things, images, packages, blends, whatever files in relation to cc making, create a naming system! Trust me when i tell you it will make your cc making process a lot more streamlined. My system is as follows: "BG maxi dress flower on shoulder pink fem". What we learn here is that it's a base game maxi dress with a flower on the shoulder, and it's the pink swatch. This way, if it's a blender file, i know i can export the diffuse map directly inside blender if i need it later without having to locate the dress in s4s. Fem is there to show what frame the mesh is from without having to open it. Same goes for "masc" items. For example "CL open jacket long sleeves turtleneck camo blue". This tells us it's city living and an open jacket with long sleeves in camo blue and has a turtleneck. Note: sometimes a pack name will have a similar abbreviation, like Cottage Living. My way is just adding another letter or two, COL. Or if the pack only has one word like Toddlers or Strangerville, you could then call it TOD and SV for example.

Make folders! One thing i find that makes things a little easier is that i make folders separating things. So first i have the project folder inside my cc making folder. Let's say i'm making a short satin dress, i'll make a folder "Short satin dress". Inside there i'll make a folder for blender files and one for image files. Inside blender folder i make a folder for lods and inside image folder i make folders for swatches and one for maps. If you're making a fem and masc framed version of the same thing, separate folders by frame as well, so you have a main folder inside "Short satin dress" for fem and one for masc etc and so on. This is so you don't mix textures and blend files up, because for example, sometimes the diffuse map sits differently on a masc frame mesh compared to a female framed mesh.

One thing i hate about making cc (other than MAKING cc.........) is making textures. I'm not good at it and this d.o.a game eats textures like it's the last can of catfood in the world, compressing it to hell and back. One thing i've learned and my friend @faaeish told me about is that adding a bit of noise helps! What i like to do, once i have finished my base layer i know i will recolor later, i make a noise layer out of it using "Noise [Additive] with this plugin and i do Output mode: New layer(s) at the bottom. I use gimp but this plugin can also be used with nearly every program under the sun, including ps. It's also online based. You can play around with the settings but i like to use something like below. One thing i realized well, just the other day is that, if you use RGBA noise instead of gray noise, it adds a bit more depth and texture. But not too much! Just a smidgen, to give the texture and the color fill layer more pixels to cling to and it will minimize the risk of artifacts. Ugly blobs, essentially. Once i have that noise layer i alpha to selection on my base layer, invert and sharpen and click the noise layer to remove the access around that the filter adds. I'll also clean up any alpha channels, filling them with white if i need to. Then i play around with layer modes on the noise layer, add a color fill above that and maybe i'll duplicate the base layer and put above the color fill layer. Like below is an example.

Next is a thing for blender, tiny miniature tip but that i find helps me. And that's this little plus sign button when you "Save as.." in blender. So what you need to do when you FIRST save some edits on your mesh, say you swapped the sleeves out. You "File-Save as..-bg no pockets tshirt rolled up sleeves blue fem LOD0_edit0. 0. Zero is important. You need to save the very first save as 0. Next time you make any changes you Save As and click the plus and it will just change 0 to 1. Next time 1 to 2 etc etc. To me this makes it easier to go back in case i mess up. Which i sometimes do. Like the other day i noticed fingers were messed up and i had to go back to nearly the beginning of my edits to pull original fingers and sleeves from. And i always save right before i make any major edits.

That's all i can think of right now. I'll put a read more in case i think of more later. Hope this helps!

Punk 101: Recording Music

To answer the question: ‘How do you record music off of a streaming service’ (for legal reasons I wont say which one I recorded off of)

Warning: it can get a bit complicated and is illegal

More Important Warning: at the end of this post there is a video with flashing lights

Also a point to make: you shouldnt do this especially for smaller bands. They make money off of streaming. They need money to survive. Support small bands

Step 1. Put the playlist together

This can be on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, etc. You just have to be able to access it on your phone or tablet (something that takes an aux cord)

Step 2. Turn the sound to Analog

This is accomplished by running it through an aux cord. If you have a newer iphone or simply a device that has no aux output, you need to get an adapter. But the music HAS to be transferred out of a digital format otherwise you wont be able to record through any encryption (Im not a computer person please dont ask me to explain streaming encryptions)

Step 3. Turn it back into digital

Heres the thing, you can’t really record analog (well not without a HUGE quality loss in sound). This is the part where I warned it can get complicated. I’m going to show the ‘advanced’ way. But you could probably also just find a way to plug the aux into a computer as an input too.

Personally, *if* I were to record music (which I totally dont do cause its illegal) I’d run my music through two different boards

The one on the left is an old as fuck board that has amazing sound, the one on the right is a Denon, which we currently use for DJ gigs. The aux is the input into the old one, which in turn is the input into the new one.

Side note: I’d only add the old board into the mix if I can’t get the aux input loud enough on the Denon to match any pre-recorded music. That’s important for a DJ. The old board would let me give it an extra boost.

Step 4. Sound match (kind of optional, but recommended)

If you want your music to be the same volume as all the other music you have, you have to sound match with a song you already have. I like this song:

You need to record about 20 second demos and compare them with the original song while messing around with the settings until it sounds good without damaging the equipment. As you can see it might take a few tries to get the sound to match. But once it does, you dont have to change the settings for any other song you record.

If you are using a board to record or boost your audio, these are lights that you want to pay attention to. You never want to ‘peak’ your boards. Its not good for them and will shorten their life span.

Step 4. Record

Newer boards often have recording functions (like the Denon). If you are on a computer, use whatever recording application you have available. Save each track. (Maybe listen to the first few to make sure you arent cutting off the very beginning or end of a song). Keep track of which song was recorded in what order if you cant name them right away.

Save the songs onto a usb or on your computer. From their you can rename the files

Step 5. Do with it as you please

The idea for this came from completing Leah’s six heart event in an attempt to be friends with everyone on my save file. You can mentally swap out Sebastian for another partner if you want! (as long as it isn’t Leah of course)

“Someone just knocked on the door !”

“Okay dont worry I’ll get it”

Half putting on their boots and half stumbling, y/n makes it to the front door. It’s not unusual for someone to be here during this time, offering seeds or stray pets but it's still exciting nonetheless, especially considering the farmer has been making an effort to become friends with more people in town.

“Oh Leah ! Hi” y/n said once they opened the door, surprised to see a new friend

“Hello y/n, beautiful day isnt it ? i hope its not too early but i have brought you a gift”

On the other side of the door, Sebastian’s interest is peaked, he picks up a fussing baby from the floor and slowly walks towards the entrance of the house.

“It’s a sculpture I’ve been working on, just for you” Leah explained, earning very different looks of shock and awe from both the farmer and Sebastian.

Y/n reaches out for the sculpture and places it delicately on the porch beside them.

“It’s called… ‘How i feel about y/n’. I hope you like it” the artist continues.

“It’s amazing Leah thank you so much but you didn't have to”

“Oh don't worry about it! You’ve been so nice to me lately, bringing me salads and bottles of wine from your farm. It’s a way of me repaying you”

“Well you didnt have to but thank you so much, I’ll have to find the perfect spot for it”

Y/n briefly looked round to see their husband looking at them from the kitchen with a puzzled look on their face.

“Okay well I wont keep you for any longer. Are you coming to the stardrop tonight ?”

“Yes I am! I have some diamonds and oranges that I need to give to Gus” Y/n exclaimed, happy that someone reminded them of their to-do list

“Okay?” Leah said, now sharing the same confused look as Sebastian “Well I’ll be sat at my regular table, I dont think Elliot is joining me anymore so it will be nice to have some company”

“Oh of course I’ll come over and say hello” the farmer smiled, excited to be making friends outside of their husband and his band mates.

After saying goodbye, y/n watches as Leah maneuvers around the various barns and coops before heading back down the path towards cindersap forest. They bring in the piece of art and look at their husband.

“That was nice of them-“

“How I feel about WHO?!” Sebastian shouted, a smile creeping onto their face, leaning on the kitchen counters like an angry parent.

Y/n pretends to tuck a piece of hair behind their ear before putting the piece down and walking up to Sebastian with outstretched arms.

“If you’re cheating on me you can just say so” He playfully bats the farmer away.

“Oh my god stop being so dramatic”

“No I mean it! I mean I would have to figure out how to get the kids’ beds in my moms basement but we would remain civil. As a child of divorce I understand completely”

“Please shut up she was just being nice”

Sebastian pulls the farmer in close, their faces even closer.

“We’re married with two kids and I’ve never made you a piece of art”

“Well maybe you should”

“Have you met my mum ?? Wood carving skills are in my genes”

“And yet here i am … artless”

Sebastian tips back his head and laughs. Y/n is so glad he’s not the jealous type.

“I guess after all this time, I didn’t realise I had competition”

“You got too comfortable then. My life is like a dating sim these days”

Y/n moves out of Sebastian’s arms and walks away, trying to carry on with whatever was happening before Leah showed up. Sebastian followed them anyway.

“Oh really?” He questioned, still smiling “tell me what else i have to compete with”

“Well … Elliot dedicated his new book to me”

Sebastian acts as if he’s been shot and stumbles slightly, making Y/n laugh this time

“And Shane let me meet his chickens”

He pretends to be shot in a different part of his body. Sometimes you wonder if anyone else sees how much of an idiot he really is.

“I can’t believe Shane showed you his c-“

“Chickens!” Y/n shouts while finally stepping out of the farmhouse door.

“I cant believe I’m in this house, raising our children and you’re flirting with all of Pelican Town!”

“But you’re the one I married” Y/n laughs “I guess something about the motorbike and board games put you above the rest”

“Good” he smiles before standing on his usual spot on the porch, watching their partner throw themselves into their work. It’s times like this when he thinks about how close he was to leaving this whole town and life behind.

wait actually could you help me figure out how to find the save data of my slugpup and put it into another campaign pls? thanks :)

Oh man, hmmm.. I don't quite know how to do that. If you still have the file and the pup, though, you should be able to download the visible ID mod, assign a key to view creatures IDs, and then screenshot it so you have it saved!

But if you have finished the campaign and started a new one, I do not think you could view it in the save data anyways D;

But if you do have the campaign active, here is what you need to do!

Basically go onto the steam workshop and get a mod called 'visible ID', download it, and then once its set up make sure you know what the keybind is for viewing a creatures ID. screenshot it. (visible ID also has a setting where you can name creatures with a certain ID, so when you view their ID, their name shows up instead)

Then, make sure you have several other mods enabled, specifically Dev Tools, Dev Console, and Rebind Dev tools (the third one is not required but its useful if you plan to use dev tools in depth)

Go into a survivor, or a monk, or gourmand, (or any other campaign, actually. keep in mind though after the cutscenes in spearmaster, artificer, and rivulets campaigns, your slugpup will probably despawn! same for taking pups into the final area of saint.)

then, press the ` button (top left of your keyboard), which opens up the dev console. You then type in the command " spawn SlugNPC ID.1.[insert slugpup id here] ". this will spawn in the slugpup! though they wont be bonded to you, and will be like any slugpup when you first find them.

commands are CASE SENSITIVE Keep in mind

That should be everything you need to do!! As long as you still have that hunter campaign active you should be able to go in and check your pups ID!

Hi, i just wanted to say u made me upset this past 2 weeks.

For context, i am a literature major studying in Korea, so when I say i've been invested and reading 2-3 books/week. I MEAN IT. I only started reading fics 2015? When sm^t was still labeled lemon so point is, yes I read a lot a lot (books? about 400, fics? uncountable).

I used to read amazing fics (yoonmin) that has similar writing style as you! (Slow burn, the best kind of tropes)

Both are yoonmin (BTS) but i highly suggest at least checking it out as your writing style suits fantasy the best like said authors. Anyways, I eventually dropped the kpop world (due to uni) around 2019-2020? then started stanning NCT, which made me know markhyuck and your fics.

I have to say, You have an amazing writing style and talent. I love the way you write! So refreshing and detailed, things you wont expect. Beautiful is truly an understatement. But due to one and other things (my life falling off, my independence, which took a toll on me and I started to not enjoy my hobbies and instead focused on putting food on the table).

This year as I was doing my internship out of Korea, in 2023, out of the blue I jumped and had the sudden urge to read honeymouthed and wildflowers. All because there was a cafe which had "Honey" & "Elderflowers" written in the number #6 of their menu. I dug up my old google drive and there it was. The book (ur fic) I devastated-ly dropped as I've had to do life— as everyone does. I read it from the beginning. Even if I used to read it 10-20? times from the start as I wait for the updates haha. When I reached the final page I saved it (it was page 339) I went to ur AO3 to find any updates, but it was gone. I searched on twt u posted it but it wasn't there on AO3. It broke my heart for a few weeks (quite frankly). It was like dejavu. the As my favorite author (The yoonmin one) quite literally stopped posting on ao3 which, I was broken as well (update; she still opened a patreon/kofi account in the end! hehe).

When I found out in ko-fi it was still there but it is inaccessible for un-logged in users. I immediately made one and is now pending for the invitation for the ao3 (i lost my old account :'()

nonetheless, I AM OVER THE MOON THAT UR STILL ACTIVE AND AMAZING AND DOING/RESTING WELL!

NO AKANE'S SO FUCKING BADASS FROM WHAT WE KNOW ALREADY need to meet her NOW... she has every single organization out to get her for real though... If I May Be So Bold As To Hope, characters like her have been faring decently well for the past little while (there's a very similar character in The Kaito Files who's fine), so I'd love for Ichiban to at least get to meet her. I know RGG will never let biological family off the hook but I hope Arakawa and Aoki and maybe Jo's sacrifices can secure at least that much... Lol...

Based on the final shots of him in the epilogue, I do think Jo was past the point of having any big reactions to Aoki's death. Honestly, I'll admit it looked like what we saw was his reaction, or the aftermath of it, to me; Japanese inmates aren't cut off from current news and I can imagine the assassination of the governor would be a big deal, even if it's been a while.

I can definitely see him having the instinct to blame Ichi, but I also feel like he was sort of starting to become aware that blaming Ichi didn't accomplish anything near the end. His admonishment of Ichi for being "late" to try and save Hoshino felt pretty half-hearted compared to past instances, like he was going through the motions of their usual interactions but didn't think it was fair himself. He seems to be more or less fine with Ichi now, at any rate...

Either way, it'd be a big missed opportunity to just have Jo ship Ichiban off to Hawaii without some reflective dialogue between them considering everything they've been through together, so fingers crossed for that. I'd love to see your take in whichever form you'd wanna pursue!

That Aside I hope your charger comes in soon </3 might help take your mind off things if you got to draw... Gaiden and Infinite Wealth and whatever else is to come will be worth it, so as always, hang in there and take care brother!

Chapter Three: Apart of The Devil’s Tale

(little time rewind)

Smiling, you walked into the compound's kitchen, wrapping your arms around Wanda’s waist. “Hiya hun whatcha cooking?” you asked against her neck you had just brushed her hair from. She hummed as your lips pressed against her skin “some breakfast Y/N, now back up before someone walks in and sees us.” she told you. Your smile faded as you stepped away from her and rounded the island to sit down. You were tired of hiding your relationship and she knew but still wanted to keep it a secret. Tony walked into the kitchen just as Wanda placed a plate in front of you. She smiled at Tony “morning Tony coffee's ready if you want a cup and i'll get you a plate ready soon.” she said moving back to make him a plate of his own. He smiled back at her “morning to you little witch” he said ignoring your presence just as Wanda was doing now that there was an audience. With a grimace you picked up your plate and went back to your room. Neither of them paid you attention as you left nor did Steve and Natasha as you passed them in the hallway.

Knocking on Pietro’s door you handed him the plate when he answered “your sister said to give this to you.” you told him with a frown before carrying on to your room ignoring his calls of your name. Once out of eye sight you jumped to your room using the shadows around you. As you packed a bag to leave, FRIDAY informed you of a mission meeting in five minutes, with a grunt you changed into your gear and headed for the meeting room. Once in the room you plopped down into a chair farthest from everyone else.

When Fury walked into the meeting room all conversation stopped “good now that all are present I have the information for your next mission. Steve, Tony your on lead Clint Wanda your incharge of handling any stray HYDRA representatives, Natasha find the computers and download everything and Y/N your to set the bombs around the base and have them discharge after everyone is out.” he said with a smirk in your direction “do not disappoint.’ he finished before throwing a file on the table and leaving the room. You wanted to argue but the man was already gone. Before you could do anything the file was slapped against your chest “read this and don't mess up Y/N, I can't have my team hurt because you wont play well with others.” Steve told you sternly before leaving you as the last person in the room. You wanted to laugh but his words cut deep to your core, the only reason you were here in this body was because you disobeyed direct orders to save a member of your guard. All you ever did was care about the ones you worked with and end the end that cost you your wings and now you were with another team who didn't even know anything about you, not even the woman who you thought loved you, that you loved even if she was the only one to ever say it out loud.

(After the two years and Change)

With a smile you pushed through the group of HYDRA Agents “so it seems you all came what a surprise.” you loudly exclaimed, raising your arms to clap. With each clap you took a step forward “you see I actually wasn't expecting any of you to show up, now though you can finally know my story and why it was so easy for all of you to throw me away like I was nothing. You see it wasn't the first time I was disregarded.” you exclaimed with a big toothy smile.

Natasha was the first to speak “so you were a spy and only played with our feelings to make us feel bad about kicking you out?” you sent her another smile before appearing in front of her and grabbing her chin harshly “no Natalia I wasn't, only after you kicked me out did I join HYDRA.” you told her, you nails digging into her skin. You threw her to the side with a grin, she let out a grimace when she connected with the ground. “You all did nothing to get to know me, not even Fury and the moment he put me on The Avengers everyone of you did everything to get me off the team except Wanda who actually fell in love with me. You spat out the last part. Then by some weird mishap of a mission where I saved her and Clint's life I was again pushed away and disregarded just like when my orders were to abandon my fellow guards and leave them to die. Only I didn't. I rushed past the front lines and pulled them back fighting against every opponent I could and do you know what I got for that; NO YOU DON'T, NOT A MEDAL, NOT AN AWARD OR EVEN A THANKYOU, I WAS RIPPED OF MY WINGS AND SENT DOWN TO EARTH.” you took a deep breath to settle yourself.

Steve stepped forward just as you got your breathing under control. He was about to place a hand on your shoulder when you slapped it away “don't touch me Rogers. Agents cuff them and get them in separate cells. I have a lot of fun planned for our little group of ragtag hero’s.” you ordered them giving The Avengers a smile with fangs the whole time. Wanda let out a whimper when they placed a dampening cuff around her neck “really Y/N I thought you said she loved you?” Natasha called as she was shoved back to the ground by five men. Rolling your shoulders before clasping your hands behind your back as you approached the witch “look at me Wanda.” you told her and she shook her head no slightly. A good twenty minutes had passed when she finally said something “you never came back or tried to get in contact with me. Last any of us had heard from you was you putting Steve in a hospital and clawing up Nat's thigh.” you smiled at the memory of Steve's face so long ago then frowned at the scene of Wanda in between Natasha’s thighs as she comforted The Widow. Your anger got the best of you as you slammed her against the wall and clasped the collar back around her throat, “you know Wanda I tried to be nice but you had to just ruin it. Enjoy your solitude, oh and Natasha is next for an interview.” you slammed the door open before slamming back shut. “No food for her, only water and no one is to speak to her.” you told the guard outside of her door before disappearing in a cloud of black smoke.

One ( From the Beginning )

The wind howled through Wayford's square, heralding the winter coming soon. People milled about, coin being exchanged for clothes and luxuries. The rich bustled among them, only some paying attention to their money. Others looked placidly about, the perfect marks for a thief to dip into their pockets and take what they wanted. Piglins also arrived into the Overworld from the nether portal. Piglins were almost always more careful of their riches, something they took pride in.

A ghost danced among these people, taking from what they could. An almost daily routine for them, they were barely a breeze among the rich, and their hands had even dipped into a few Piglin's pockets while they weren't paying attention. After years of this, they had gotten too good for their marks to catch them, and they were simply there one minute, gone the next. The piglins' gold always felt warm in their hands, something they were thankful for in the cold.

People had started filing out of the square, leaving only a few in the square, when Ghost noticed one particular piglin. This one had the guts to leave his pocket unbuttoned, clearly open to any thief would hide about. Ghost considered their chances of being caught by him, but they knew they could outrun anyone in this town, and this man was no different. They snuck up behind him, quiet as they could be, and hovered their hand near his pocket.

In a flash, the piglin had grabbed their hand and held a dagger against their wrist. Ghost's face betrayed their shock for only a second, before their face fell into a frown. Of course this had been a trap, it had the writing of one all over it, something they should have seen. As they thought on this, their gaze wandered to the accessories the piglin wore. Two chains, connected from caps on his tusks to his ears, one gem dangling on each of them. One of the piglin nobles, Ghost thought to themself, of course he'd be this careful.

"You're a foolish one, aren't you?" The piglin spoke lowly, trying to not draw any attention.

"I'm only as foolish as my targets." Ghost spat back, thinking on how to get out of here, hand attached.

The piglin huffed. "Why were you trying to steal from me? The worst mark you could have chosen."

"I'm simply trying to provide for my siblings," Ghost spoke in a hushed tone, "we need to get though the winter and have no castle to go back to." They flashed him a grin, sarcasm dripping from their words.

The piglin frowned and stared at Ghost for a few seconds, trying to get a read on them, then he let go of them, putting his dagger away. He dug into his pocket and tossed some coins at them. As he left towards the portal, he called over his shoulder, "Next time, you wont be so lucky."

Ghost stood there for a second, confused as to what had just happened, but then decided the Twin Gods had blessed them today. They scooped up the coins and ran away from Wayford, heading to the ravine they call home.

The Ravine, a place they had called home for years now. A small safe haven for their small family, something they had always dreamed of. Ghost climbed down the ladder, jumping to the ground after a while. They looked at the smoke rising from the campfire nearby, and smelled the meat cooking on it. This would be one of their last fresh meat meals, they had to preserve everything else for the winter months.

As they approached the camp, they heard skittering across the ravine's wall, right above them. They looked up, and Mellick waved at them, arms full of sticks. Ghost chuckled and waved back, Mellick helping out was always a good sight to see. He scuttled over to the fire, placing the sticks beside it while Ghost walked up.

"Hey bud," They said, sitting down beside the fire, "how's the cooking going?"

Ghost had to circle around the woods twice to make sure the Piglin hadn't decided to follow them, all the while scolding themself for saving him. What were they thinking! He probably still had gold on him, and if he was dead, they wouldn't have to worry about the winter. They just had to go and be a good person, and now everything was more unsure than ever. He could tell people what he saw in the forest, and people would come out to try and find them. They'd have to move somewhere else, but the dead of winter is impossible to move in, and they wouldn't have enough luck to hold out till spring.

Then, they laughed at themself. Really, 'winter is coming and I must be off?' What kind of person says that? It's not like they owe him explanation or a goodbye, they didn't owe him anything. At least he hadn't demanded some of the furs, if he had, there wouldn't be enough to make coats for everyone. A sigh of relief escaped their lips, maybe they would make it through winter after all.

They got back to the Ravine, whistling a birdsong to call for Mellick, who immediately ran up the Ravine's wall to greet them. He grinned at the pelts in their arms, clapping his hands. "Ghost! You got them!"

"I did, Mell, I did. Now," they handed the pelts to Mellick, "take these down to Vist so she can make us some coats."

Mellick nodded and ran down to Vist while Ghost stood atop the Ravine, scanning their surroundings. They had ran around for hours to try and shake off the piglin, but they had to make sure he hadn't followed. Once it looked like the coast was clear, they climbed down into the Ravine, warming themself by the fire. They hadn't realized how cold they had gotten out there, but they were fine, the cold was almost home to them. Flexing their fingers, they looked at the food on the campfire, and they saw the meal was about done. Ghost pulled the food off of the fire, dishing it out for the other and themself. They went further back into the Ravine, where Vist was already working on the coats and instructing Mellick on how coat making was done.

They laid the food out in front of the duo, and they sat down to eat.

"Cassius," Vist said, picking up her food, "nobody saw you, right?"

"No, not at all," Cassius lied, the words falling out easily, "the wolves were mine for the taking." They gave Vist a large smile, then took another bite of meat. Mellick always cooked the best, and rabbit was no exception.

Vist nodded, mouth full of food. She swallowed, wiping her mouth on a small handkerchief she always kept around. "That's good, that's good. Oh, and also, we have extra pelts, so we could probably get a good amount of gold for them."

"See you two! We'll be fine." Mellick said, mouth packed full of food. "Nothing to worry about."

Ghost laughed. "You're right, Mell, nothing to worry about at all."

"It's going good! How did the stealing go?" Mellick sat beside Ghost as best as he could, folding his spider legs underneath him.

Ghost thought for a long second, contemplating telling him how they almost got caught by a piglin noble. "It went well enough, although I'm not sure we have enough to last til first thaw."

"Ghost…" Mellick said, "we'll make it, I'm sure of it." He grinned at them. "Especially if you're here to help!"

Ghost laughed. "Always the optimist, huh?"

"Someone has to be, with you and Vist moping it up around here."

"Someone mention me?" Vist called from behind the two from further in the ravine. "I was just working on getting stuff packed away for winter."

"Glad you could join-" Ghost said, suddenly interrupted by the sound of wolf howls. They jumped up from their seat, running to grab their hunting equipment.

Vist grabbed them before they started up the ladder. "Ghost, are you sure you're going to be safe?"

"We need the furs, Vist, we had to trade our last coats for food." They sighed. "I promise I'll be safe." They went up the ladder, and hiked into the forest, following the wolf howls. Ghost felt nice to be out on the prowl, hunting for something to help the group survive the winter. The bitter cold bit at them, and they prayed there would be enough for everyone to get a cloak.

Then, they saw the blood on the ground. One of them was already hurt, or worse, another hunter had come into the area to catch them. Ghost growled to themself, silently praying there wasn't a hunter nearby. Especially with how near they were to the ravine. They continued following the howls, footfalls quiet as they could force them to be.

As they reached a clearing, they saw the piglin noble from before, battling the wolves. Ghost looked closer at what he was doing, none of his blows cutting the wolves open. Was this man sparing the wolves? At least they could get the furs. Then, they watched as a wolf circled around the noble, ready to pounce at his neck.

Ghost only had a second to decide what to do, and they ran from the bushes, yelling an old and forbidden language, eyes ablaze with an unnatural light. Their words entranced the dogs, and they sent them away from this place. The pack ran, except for three wolves who had already died from their wounds. They got to business, skinning the wolves to take the fur for themself.

The piglin stood there, watching Ghost with a look of confusion spread across his face. "Did you just…speak a forbidden language?"

"Not only is it forbidden," Ghost said, gathering the wolves' furs, "it's also forgotten. No one knows how to speak it, even other magic users." They turned and looked at the Piglin. "I saved your life, and I expect you to tell no one of what happened here."

"I had it handled," the piglin countered.

"That wolf was going to kill you. If I had come later, I would have seen your corpse, and probably stolen from it. You're lucky."

The piglin's eyes widened. "You're the thief."

"I am. I must be off now, winter is coming." They left the piglin, hurrying to the Ravine.

Not feeling good today, really not good. Anxiety is so high, like higher than its been in forever, is it just bc of my nose piercing? And the fact that im so behind with work, stressing me big time. If I just get over it tho it will be fine. Also I hate how im spending money, like ill literally have none soon. Scary, im not gonna get much from urban either. Need to charge up may Mac too. I don’t feel like going home. Kind of like oh are they gonna ask me about young lean too lol. Bet my dad will make fun. Ill just make up something like oh like George got guest list lol. Why do I even care. Im really letting it effect me.

So tempted to have that val. but feel like I should have it the morning of the presentational, lmao. Kill me, I should talk about my issues maybe ! Im in absolute just like want to shut down and die. I cant deal , deffo need a drink big time, I wanna talk to tara but its difficult over the thingy lol. Ill stay here for a bit and get to 100 then ill go down. And then ill actually start doing my work. I should definitely have a tutorial for sourcing, even if it is really scary. Also I do actually need to file my nails a bit im already finding it hard to type. Friction hell !! At least I can paint them properly now, feel like I should check critical path too. Anyways, like if I sleep at home ill wake up early tmo, then ill feel much better, ill be able to stay in uni literally until I go to pole.
