Continuation of my tipsy Sanji post i made a couple of days ago!! you don't need to read that first if you didnt already but I am slowly nudging you.... to my page.... sumbliminally.... (go read it)

Zoro is at his wit's end.

It's been close to half an hour, and he's wandering in the dark alleyways of this random ass town trying to get back to the ship. In addition to that, He's carrying a very drunk and very annoying Sanji on his back.

"Marimooo," he drawls, swaying to the side. "Where the fuck are we?"

"Stop fucking moving or I'm gonna drop you, cook."

The position they're in is precarious as it is, Sanji's legs wrapped around Zoro's waist the only thing really keeping them both upright.

The cook's hands come from where they're draped over Zoro's shoulders to poke at his face. "You don't even know where we're going, do you?`"

"Like you know either," Zoro grumbles.

"Yeah, but you're mostly sober," the cook slurs.

...Fair enough.

Sanji yawns, the action driving his chin harder into the top of Zoro's head. "You're talking too long, hurry up so we can get to the Sunny."

"Maybe if you stopped fidgeting, I could actually walk straight and we would get there faster." Zoro grunts, hoisting the lanky man higher up on his waist.

"Fuck you, I'll walk myself back to the ship then." Zoro thinks Sanji attempts to get off his back, but the cook slumps back down almost immediately after raising only his head. "No, no no. that's not happening. Christ, how much did I drink? Marimo, I'm gonna die from alcohol poisoning-"

Zoro lets Sanji lament about his booze-tinted doom, mainly because he's still trying to figure out where the fuck they are but also because the blond idiot does this every time they go out drinking. He gets piss drunk off of what, two shots? and Zoro has to haul his uncoordinated, mouthy ass all the way back to the Sunny. Bonus points if he stops to spew his guts in an alleyway. Sanji stops talking after a few minutes, but the silence doesn't last for long.

"Did I tell you. We're going... uh... grocery shoppi-"

"Yes. Yes, you did, Curly. Six goddamn times."

"Okay, don't be a dick about it!" He feels the cook's spindly fingers sluggishly tug at his hair, pulling his head sideways and making them more unsteady than they already are.

"Stop. Moving," Zoro hisses as he stumbles. "You're fucking heavy."

Sanji giggles from behind him, and Zoro can feel the vibrations across his back as the blond speaks. "Oh, 'm sorry, you directionally challenged wad of grass. Maybe if you went the right way you wouldn't have to carry me any longer." "Shut up! It's too dark, everything looks the same."

"No, you're just fuckin'... what's the word? oh, incompetent. I bet you don't even know what incompetent means."

"I know what incompetent means."

"God, I'm so dizzy," Sanji groans.

"Stop complaining!"

They bicker back and forth, Sanji spewing insults in his ear while Zoro barks at him to shut up and wonders how many times they've passed that street lamp on the corner. Sometime during that, Sanji's head makes it into the crook of the other man's neck, and every time the cook speaks his lips brush over Zoro's shoulder. His hands have also taken up permanent residence in Zoro's hair, combing through the short strands as he complains endlessly. Zoro can't say he minds.

"Ah, we're lost," Sanji whines in his ear. "Completely, irre....irrevocably lost. Marimo, the ship was ten minutes from the barrrr."

"We're almost there, you impatient prick." They are not, in fact, almost there. Zoro trudges past what he feels like is the same house he saw fifteen minutes ago.

"Good... because m'gonna pass out."

"What?" The cook doesn't speak, and his fingers go slack on top of Zoro's head. "No, cook - damn it, wake up." Nothing but Sanji's soft breaths sound as a response.

Zoro looks around, surrounded by rows of dark houses and no boat in sight.

He heaves a long-suffering sigh. "God fucking dammit."

Zoro struggles for another 30 minutes trying to find the ship with Sanji as a dead weight the entire time. he hated it (not really).

Zosan x Reader silly little Drabble

Synopsis: Law makes reader and Sanji switch bodies. Zoro gets all lovey dovey on Sanji in reader’s body.

Luffy was jumping up and down over the news of a possible island that had funky gravity and could make you float. He wanted to visit it but the only way he could get there is if he got a map on some random island called Floria that kept it a secret.

Y/N was out on the deck as Luffy began to whine about how badly he wanted to go. She laughed and asked him more about his woes. When he mentioned the island of Floria she froze. Memories began to resurface.

A few years back she visited Floria. It was known for it’s peace and unity. She stopped by there as it was on her course and was intrigued by the history it held and the overall environment. However, one night she got too drunk and began to reek havoc on the quaint village. She of course regrets the incident but her face is plastered all over the island.

“I’ve been to that island.” She says plainly.

Luffy’s eyes light up and he begins to jump up in down in front of her, “Do you know about the map?”

Y/N bit her lip slightly and nodded, “Yeah. When I was there I learned about the tale of the space island. The island is similar to that of Jaya as it holds profound history and secrets.”

Luffy ran around the deck, “So cool! So cool! We must go! You can get the map for us then.”

Y/N deadpanned, “Absolutely not Luffy.”

“Hah?? Why not?” He whined.

Y/N pauses for a second, “Let’s just say I’m not very welcome there anymore.”

Usopp at this point made his presence known, “Ohoo Y/N, did you do something bad?” He teased.

“Shut up long nose! It’s none of your business!” She retorted and shot Usopp a death glare which shut him up. “Besides, we can still go. I’m just not going to step foot on the island”

“But that will make everything harrderr. I want to go to the space island now.”

“Too bad Luffy,” Y/N rolled her eyes and began to make her way to the galley.

Usopp held his hand to his chin in thought, “Oo! What if we get that Law guy to have Y/N switch bodies with someone so that she can go on the island without any problems?!”

Luffy smiled wildley, “Wow Usoppu, that’s a great idea! Why don’t you just switch bodies with someone yeah!!”

Y/N’s eye twitched at the idea.

“Why Sanji?! He’s just going to be all weird in my body!”

“Oooo Y/N-Chwan~ I’ll only admire it,” Sanji said with heart eyes.

Y/N grimaced and bonked Sanji over the head.

“Well Sanji doesn’t need to go on this mission and he can stay and watch the ship. Everyone else has a duty they need to fulfill on the island,” Nami said.

“Why can’t I switch with you Nami? What are you doing?” Y/N complained.

Nami smiled and brushed her hair back, “I am going to go gamble.”

“Are you serious?!” Y/N exclaimed.

“Look, we need more berries for our next trip out anyway.”

Y/N sighed, “I’m not going to win this battle.”

Sanji only smiled in excitement.

Being in Sanji’s body was weird for Y/N. Her hands felt very soft but her feet and legs ached. She pursed her lips as she made her way into the familiar ruins with Robin, Luffy, and Law.

“From what I remember the walls on the left side hold inscriptions of where the map is located.”

Robin smiled and went to glance over at the ruins to decipher. Putting her hand along the engravings she said, “It seems as though there is an underground tunnel that leads to where the map is.”

Y/N just nodded her head as Luffy began to jump in excitement.

While everyone else was doing their own thing, Zoro busied himself in town looking for some sword sharpeners and polishes.

Wandering around alone was not a good idea for him as he traveled around the town loving for a sword shop but couldn’t find one by dark. He huffed and started heading back to where the water was so he could hopefully find the ship.

He was exhausted as his brain became fried from trying to remember directions all day and as the Sunny came into view a sigh of relief came out of his mouth.

He couldn’t wait to get back on the ship and fall asleep and go looking again the next day. Maybe he would luck out and even find a bar to get a drink.

As he got back on the deck he noticed movement in the galley and he went to investigate. When he opened the door further he saw Y/N cooking up a meal.

Confused as to why his girlfriend was cooking when it was Sanji’s job really irritated him. How dare that lazy bum make his girlfriend cook.

“Oi. Just what are you doin’?”

Sanji in Y/N’s body turned to face him confused, “Hah?”

“That stupid cook should be the one making you food.” Zoro continued to walk up to him.

Sanji gritted his teeth, “The hell are ya playin at Mosshead?”

Zoro furrowed his brows, “First you’re cookin’ and now you’re calling me Mosshead? Y/N you’ve been spending too much time with that stupid cook ya know.”

“You idiot!” Sanji began to raise his leg to kick him but Zoro caught it and held onto it as if rested on his shoulder.

“Even fighting like him, sweetheart. You truly are spending too much time with him. Guess I’ll have to show him who’s yours,” Zoro smirked and grabbed Sanji’s cheek pulling him in closer.

Sanji’s eyes widened as he began to try and kick Zoro with his other leg but alas due to Y/N’s not as flexible body it was no use.

Zoro put Sanji’s leg down and then wrapped his arms around his waist. He began to lean in and Sanji’s heart rate picked up. Was this really happening.

Zoro’s lips finally met his in a quick peck before it became a little more passionate. Sanji involuntarily moaned into the kiss and tangled his hands in Zoro’s hair.

Zoro smirked as Sanji let out a little moan as they kissed. Sanji pulled him closer and the kiss lasted for a minute before the rusted gears in Zoro’s brain turned and his eyes flew open pushing Sanji away.

“What the hell?” Sanji exclaimed.

“Y-You’re not Y/N!” Zoro gave him a look of horror.

Sanji rolled his eyes, “Looks like the moss in your brain died and you finally saw the light. You truly are so stupid.”

“Oh my god. Oh my god. I kissed the cook. But I also kissed Y/N? Is this cheating?!” Zoro began to panic.

“Get a grip Marimo,” Sanji took out a cigarette and began to light it before Zoro approached him and took it out of his mouth.

“Please don’t destroy her lungs.”

“Fine. Fine.” Sanji shrugged and turned back to making food.

“So. You’re not going to say anything else?” Zoro questioned nervously.

Sanji pauses for a moment, “I don’t even know what to say anymore. I’m a little dazed.”

Zoro smirked a bit, “Do I really kiss that well Dartbrow?”

Sanji gritted his teeth, “Shut up shitty swordsman.”

Hello, hi, I'm dying in pain BUT IN HONOR OF PRIDE MONTH, the release of the newest one piece magazine yesterday (4thof June in Japan) is centered on Zoro and Sanji and their relationship (IDC THEY DID IT ON PURPOSE THEY HAD NO BUSINESS PUBLISHING IT IN JUNE) no powerscaling inside THEY EVEN PUT A SCREENSHOT OF THE MOMENT AFTER THEY ALMOST KISSED PRE TIMESKIP (It was filler but it's canon to me) AND THEY GAVE US THIS ILLUSTRATION

And I was like it looks like a bl cover, so I tried something...

As I am dying in bed I didn't check more than just my Japanese manga to decide where to put the title, and the title is formulated in a very polite Japanese, I considered using more familiar language but having this style of title makes it more shoujo imo

The translation is in alt for all the pics! I just edited the title on it, the doujin doesn't exist I'm sorry 😔

The magazine isn't available overseas for now, I was able to find about it and the illustration thanks to this person on Twitter!

It started out with a kiss- they’ve been skirting around each other for so long and one day they finally snap, coming together for a hungry, desperate kiss in the galley after a particularly close battle, the adrenalin still pumping in their veins, the desperation overriding all their fears and all the thousands of reasons they’ve built up as to why this is bad, this is a bad idea but oh it feels so good, so right and they never want this to stop

How did it end up like this? As was to be expected the haze doesn’t last, the next day they’ve already fallen back into their normal routine of bickering and fighting, and it’s like nothing ever happened. Zoro surmises that it meant nothing to the cook after all. It’s all been one sided for so long, he shouldn’t even have been hanging on to that last sliver of hope at this point, how absolutely stupid of him to think Sanji would want him, it was only a kiss, it was only a kiss.

Now I’m falling asleep and she’s calling a cab while he’s having a smoke and she’s taking a drag Now they’re going to bed and my stomach is sick and it’s all in my head but she’s touching his chest now, he takes off her dress now - they’re at a party and Zoro has been drowning his sorrow in sake, but is snapped out of his sleepy drunkenness when he notices an inebriated, distractingly smoking Sanji and a young woman chatting in the corner, the woman obviously flirting with the perverted cook and his blood boils, he can’t tear his eyes away as they discreetly tuck themselves into a corner and she’s touching him, dragging him away by his hands to somewhere more private and he can’t stop his mind from imagining what they’re about to do- can practically hear the rustling of clothes as they’re being hastily removed, the little noises the cook would make, whines from the back of his throat, and his stomach feels sick, and it’s all in his head …

Let me go, I just can’t look, it’s killing me and taking control- Zoro’s anger has turned cold, he knows if he gripped just a little tighter his glass would shatter, and it’s taking so much effort not to let this take him over, to just be the demon that people think he is, and lose control. This was the last, bloody nail in the coffin he’s built around his heart and he doesn’t want to be here, doesn’t want to keep feeling this way, wants to purge himself of this weakness, this childish jealousy, of the twisted images of the cook and that woman swimming in his head

Destiny, open up my eager eyes - Zoro’s body is so tense, barely held together from sheer willpower and he’s thankful for the party’s boisterousness because he’s sure someone would’ve noticed the pulse of bloodlust he accidentally let slip earlier. Years of training kick in as he deepens his breathing, looking for other things to occupy his thoughts, distractions, something to lull him into a meditative state, anything to dissociate from the pain drowning his chest. That’s when he hears it.

“Zoro?”

He looks up, surprised he didn’t even notice someone walking up to him, and his eye meets blue. Breathtaking, beautiful blue, looking at him with all the concern and tenderness in the world. The tension melts off him like snow on a bright summer day. Traitorously he feels that eager, stupid sliver of hope bloom in his chest again. He never learns.

“Cook.” The word comes out rougher than he meant to. He clears his throat. “What are you doing here?”

His curly brow raises. “I’m celebrating,”

A beat.

“You’re not with that woman?” fuck. He can’t turn back now.

“-woman? Oh. Didn’t know you cared so much, silly marimo. What, you’re jealous or something?” Sanji jokes.

And Zoro is tired. So, so tired.

“Yeah. I am.”

Part of their bounties is because of their lineage and the other part is because they are literal criminals lol. Shinjiro and Shelly’s bounties are combined because they’re always together(they are husband and wife that are so in love it’s gross lol Jiji is Sanji fr just toned down), separately they’re 50,000 beri each. Takehiko literally blows marine bases up and is suspected to be working for the revolutionaries, that’s why he has a fairly high bounty—also thought it’d be funny for the less serious sibling who’s always joking about carefree to be then taken seriously by the government. Hes about 20-23 when he gets his first bounty, Sora is 18-20 first bounty, and Shinjiro (and Shelly) were 18.

I should’ve never picked up art as a hobby

I'm here with another silly idea for ZoSan, dear Strawhearts. And you know what? I love cliches. Because for me it is always so much fun to take something that is very well-known and predictable and think how it can be turned around and changed. So, of course, when I see the "f*ck or die" tag on AO3, my brain immediately starts to work and think what I can do with it. I'm writing this in a very subdued and non-descriptive manner (because I'm just sharing a general idea), but I think you can fill in the blanks given the topic.

So what if this happened and during another battle with an enemy ship, Sanji was somehow drugged.

And now this is a ten times worse version of Sanji, and not only regarding girls. And since it's ZoSan, of course Zoro is the one who finds Sanji in the kitchen and notices that something is wrong with the shitty cook. They fight as usual, but in the end it ends with Sanji admitting that he needs help. He tells Zoro that he trusts him, that he is strong enough to watch over him and not let him out of the kitchen so that Sanji doesn't do things to others that he will later regret. 

So now they're stuck in the kitchen alone with Zoro shooing everyone away from the door who comes to find out what's going on. Although later they still had to move down to another cabin because Luffy couldn’t live without food and was ready to break inside. Sanji, in turn, is holding up adequately for now, but over time things are getting worse. Zoro can tell that the cook is burning like a furnace even sitting a few steps away from him.

Over time, Zoro begins to talk to Sanji to distract him. Somehow they manage to talk to each other without the usual fighting and insults. This is probably because Sanji is too out of it and just doesn't have the strength. And Zoro, despite the impression of an idiot that he sometimes creates, is actually very smart and attentive and senses the situation enough to react adequately. Because you can't be the best swordsman if you can't read your enemies and people in general as a consequence. And Sanji is not just a crew member, he has always been his rival. Zoro is able to read Sanji better than anyone to this point. So he understands when "it's not the right time". 

Although, as a few more hours pass, everything begins to slide even further down the slope. Zoro begins to think that the shitty cook has bitten more than he can chew. And if Zoro is completely frank, he himself has been having “strange” thoughts for some time now, which he stubbornly refuses to name. He suggests turning to Chopper for medical help, but Sanji categorically refuses. Chopper is too young and there is no way in hell that Sanji would allow him to be exposed to “such things in life” even as a doctor.

More time passes and when at some point Sanji stops responding to Zoro and he realizes that Curly blacked out Zoro thinks that he had enough.

He manages to bring Sanji back to consciousness and angrily (because he’s worried, although he won’t admit it) says that the cook is an idiot and instead of being stubborn and enduring and possibly dying, Zoro could help him. They could solve this problem. And in general it’s not even a problem, there’s nothing “special” about it, they’ll just forget about it after that and that’s it. However, despite his clouded consciousness, Sanji watched him very carefully and maybe he would have believed Zoro that “there is nothing special about this” if he had not been red as a tomato and his hands had not trembled so much, despite how tightly they were squeezing the collar of his shirt. 

So after a moment of silence, he carefully removed Zoro's hands, never taking his eyes off Zoro.

"Marimo. If you want to help me, help me. Stay with me. Make sure I don't do anything stupid. Restart my heart if it stops. Help me breathe if I can't anymore. But don't fucking ever offer me this solution again. That won't happen, not in circumstances like these. Not under pressure. I don't want to hear this. I'd rather fucking die than let anything control me and influence my actions. I am my own man, this is my body and only I can decide what and how."

There was something left unsaid. Something Zoro doesn't know yet about the cook's past. But he understands that it is important enough not to try to propose this solution anymore.

Silence fell after that, interrupted only by Sanji's heavy breathing and muffled wheezes of pain. Each of them with their own thoughts. Curly is strong, Zoro knows he will get through, but despite this, for some reason it’s hard to hear his pain. Zoro's hand twitches to reach out to him and somehow bring comfort. But he doesn't do that, he just sits next to him.

It becomes dark, night falls over the sea and a sudden thought comes to Zoro.

“You said that you don’t want it to happen under such circumstances.. Does that mean that under different..”

"Shut up shitty Marimo."

"..you would make out with me?"

Zoro doesn't see Sanji's face, he doesn't answer. But the silence is so loud that Zoro begins to think that he is about to suffocate. He wasn't prepared for how hard it would hit him.

They don't speak after that. It's deep into the night when Zoro hears that Sanji's breathing has become measured, he seems to have fallen asleep. The drug has worn off. Zoro sighs, feeling suddenly very tired and as if sobered up. This is an unpleasant and strange feeling. It was as if it suddenly became colder. He feels nervous and angry. And the worst thing is he understands why.

He is afraid of losing what he doesn't have. What he didn't know he needed. Something he didn't notice.

Sanji shifts in his sleep and Zoro feels a growl forming in his throat.

He doesn't sleep that night.

He guards.

An hour after dinner you sit on the Sofa with Sanji as he helps Beau put on his pumpkin costume over a black top and leggings to keep him warm "Do you think we're going to make him obsessed with pumpkins?" you ask looking over at the two "Obsessed? Love, he's been obsessed since he first saw a Pumpkin" Sanji laughs putting on the little orange boots "Pumpkin" Beau yells out with a laugh as Sanji picks up the boy and puts him down on the floor, you laugh and shake your head watching as the little boy gets up and walks around the room in his new consume "I guess your right" you sigh laying back as Sanji moves over to lay between your legs his head on your stomach while watching the little boy explore the room. You two left Zoro and Kuina to get ready in your bedroom, you knew your little girl wanted to dress up as a demon and you or Sanji were supposed to be an angel to go with her but thanks to the bet she won Zoro now had to be the angel and you couldn't wait to see how he looked. The king of hell now an angel because he lost a bet to his own daughter, you laughed at the though getting the cook's attention "Your thinking about it aren't you?" The blonde asks letting out a laugh as you nod "It's gonna be so funny, just imagine his grumpy face" You place a hand over your mouth trying not to burst out laughing as Sanji leans over you watching your face turn a light red from all the laughing "Do you think he will be wearing the pants or the dress?" he asks making you laugh louder hitting his chest "Stop, i can't" you throw your head back in laughter at the thought of the great Swordsman in a dress "I hope it's the dress" you laugh out Sanji joining you in laughter trying to hold himself above you.

The two of you manage to calm down as Beau walks over with a confused look "It's ok honey, Mommy and Daddy are just being silly" You sit up as Sanji gets off you and picks up the baby boy from the floor sitting him in between you two "We're just thinking of your big strong dad in a dress" Sanji laughs your baby boy giggling as the cook tickles his sides. The door to the living room opens getting the three of you on the sofa to look over and see Kuina walk in, dressed in her costume "You look amazing sweetie" Sanji smiles holding his hand out to her which she runs over and takes "My little demon" You adjust her head band making her smile at you "Where's your dad?" The cook asks looking at the door seeing no one as Kuina looks over her little brother before turning to the door "Dad come on, i won the bet" She calls out only responded by a groan and heavy footsteps. You slap your hand over your mouth as Zoro walks in, he's wearing a white outfit thats a little too tight, the sleeves of the shirt are ripped off and the buttons are undone since the shirt was meant for you or Sanji not him, but he is wearing the white pants although there very tight around his thighs. The black belt has small wings on the buckle, on his back are while fluffy wings and a white fluffy halo attacked to a headband on his head. The jacket to go with the outfit is slung over his shoulder since it deferentially won't fit, Sanji's the first to break throwing his head back in laughter and falling back onto the sofa holding his stomach. You try to hold back a little longer but with tears falling down your cheeks you can't hold back any longer and grip your stomach and lean forward letting your laughter out, Zoro's already grumpy face somehow turns grumpier "Laugh it up you two, it's not my fault it doesn't fit" He tries not to yell to scare the baby as he walks over looking at his two lover killing themselves with laughter.

"No.. No y-you look g-great" You manage to get out trying to wipe the flowing tears from your face. Sanji manages to catch his breath and sit back up holding his side since it hurts "You l-look good, Zo" Sanji looks up with a smile before patting his daughter on the head "Nice job sweetie" The cook tries not to laugh again fanning his red face to try and cool himself down. "See i told you they would like it" Kuina looks up at her dad with a big smile making the swordsman sigh, you manage to collect yourself and wipe your tears away picking up your son and standing "you do look good hunk" you wink at Zoro kissing his cheek making him blush slightly and take the baby off you as you hand him over "Yea, yea, your only saying that because you can see my chest" You take the white jacket he was holding and put it on before shrugging "Maybe" you laugh a little as you reach out taking Kuina's hand and heading out the living room. Sanji fixes his hair and runs his hand up the swordsman's bare arm giving his bicep a quick squeeze "It's the arms for me" The cook winks placing a kiss on Zoro's other cheek and walking out leaving the man flustered but following behind.

The area you were staying in was full of well off families but your daughter was super surprised when she ended up getting full sized chocolate bars and medium-sized bags of candy. You've been taking her trick or treating since she could walk on her own but it was only at places the sunny was docked at so there wasn't much, although Uncle Luffy always made it fun no matter what. "Mom look, it's your favorite" Kuina runs up to you followed by Zoro holding Beau after just leaving a house. She stops in front of you and holds up your favorite chocolate bar "Wow sweetie thats great" you smile only for her to put it in your hand "I got it just for you" she's happy to share candy with you and her dads, but she's never gotten a candy just for you before, it warms your heart "Thank you sweetie but i couldn't eat a whole one, promise you'll share it with me" you bend down to her putting the bar back in her basket "Ok" Kuina hugs you letting you pick her up and carry her a bit, you've been out for a while but none of you are ready to go back yet. "How's little man?" Sanji asks walking over to Zoro who's still holding Beau. "He's good but keeps trying to touch the lite pumpkins" Zoro kisses the baby's head as the two walk together following you and Kuina "Oh honey, its fire, your know not to touch that, like when daddy's cooking" Sanji holds Zoro's free hand and pokes the little boy's cheek lightly letting Beau grab his finger and hold it "Maybe it's because he can't see the flame" Zoro sighs looking around the area before looking down at Sanji who nods in agreement.

You put Kuina down when you get to the next house with lights on and watch her head up to the door followed by Zoro, she knocks on the door with a big smile and when it opens, she looks up at the old lady "Trick or Teat" The old lady smile at her and gives her some candy "Thank you miss" Your daughter bows surprising the old lady a bit, nice areas like this don't normally have polite kids "Your very welcome little one" She waves her off before smiling at the baby boy in Zoro's arms and handing him a lollipop which he gladly takes "Thank" Beau smiles at the lady before Zoro bows and walks away heading back to you and Sanji who are waiting with Kuina "What do you have there little man?" You ask as your baby shows you the lollipop in his hands his eye lids drooping a little "Oh you look tired" you sigh rubbing the boys cheek "Oh" Kuina looks down not ready to go back yet but you weren't going to drag her back to the house "It's ok sweetie, I'll take him back and you can keep going with your dads" you smile at her getting her to look up at you with a big smile. She reaches into her bag and takes out your favorite candy bar "Don't forget this" you take it from her and put it in your packet as you pat her head "Thanks sweetie" you turn to Zoro taking the tired baby boy off him and hold him close "Don't stay out too long" You lean up kissing Zoro who leans into you "We won't" the swordsman smiles kissing his sons cheek. "Are you sure you'll be alright on your own love?" Sanji asks putting an arm around your waist.

You look over at him and nod "I'll be fine, plus you got to make sure someone doesn't get lost" You laugh a little hearing Zoro groan behind you "She means you dad" Kuina takes Zoro's hand who looks down at the ground "I know" he sighs as she pats his arm as a form of comfort. Sanji kisses Beau's head before kissing your lips rubbing your back lightly, you lean into him but pull away when the baby boy fusses in your arms, you lift him up higher so his heads resting on your shoulder as you shush him "It's ok honey, we'll get you back to bed" you step back before walking off "Have fun" you call out to the three behind you as they wave before heading off in the other direction. Sanji held Zoro's hand as they walked down the street and to different houses letting their little girl have her fill "I can't believe all the candy i got i can't wait to tell Lulu" She smiles holding onto Sanji's hand listening to them both laugh a little, Uncle Luffy will always be Lulu no matter what and the captain has never stopped her. "He's going to be so jealous" Zoro looks over at his daughter who nods at him "I'm going to keep some, so we can share like we always do" she skips a little as she walks.

You get back to the house close the door kicking off your shoes and turning on some of the lights while holding a sleeping Beau in your arm before heading to your room and putting him in the crib, you debated taking off his costume but you didn't want to wake him and hear him cry from tiredness, on the other hand you didn't want him to over heat. You take his little hat off and booties before feeling his head, it's warm and the house is warm so you have no chose but to take his costume off and change him into his pj's. "I hate myself sometimes" you sigh to yourself undoing the costume and taking it off, it was going fine until you took his top off and lifted his head up that he started getting a little angry "I'm sorry baby but you'll be too hot" you place the pj's down and pick him up as he starts to cry a little feeling tired and unhappy that you woke him up. You place him back down on the pj's where he starts to clam down and stop crying "See that wasn't so bad" you wipe the tears form his face and kiss his cheek as he closes his eyes starting to fall back asleep. You put his arms and legs in and then pop the buttons closed sighing in relief that he wasn't overly dramatic. Leaving the room you head into the living room, take the white jacket off and flopping down on the sofa. You lay there for a minute before reaching into your pocket and taking out the chocolate bar braking it in half and eating some, you moan in delight with a small smile forming on your face, you place the other half on the table after finishing your bit and close your eye thinking you'll just lay here for a minute.

They stayed out for another half an hour before getting back to the house, Sanji opened the door letting a tired Kuina walk in as Zoro takes off his shirt "I'm glad to get out of this" The swordsman groans only to hear Sanji laugh a little "Go get dresses and I'll tuck you in" Sanji takes the candy bag off his daughter and pats her head letting her head off to her room. "That goes for you too" The cook laughs looking Zoro over "Your gonna give a kiss goodnight too?" The green haired man asks stepping closer and kissing the cook who leans in putting an arm around his neck. "Go on but be quiet Y/n's probably in bed" Sanji whispers walking into the kitchen sending Zoro off to the bedroom. Sanji puts the candy bag high up so his daughter doesn't get any ideas before heading down the hall to his daughter room. Zoro heads into the bedroom being quiet but is surprised to see you not in bed, he would normally panic but Beau is in his Pj's and fast asleep in the crib so you differently made it back, you probably waited up for them. After getting changed and washing his face the swordsman sneaks out of the bedroom and starts looking around for you soon finding you asleep on the sofa, he watches you for a moment taking in you features before picking you up.

Your eyes open at the feeling of someone picking you up off the sofa but you put your arms around his neck "Sorry baby didn't mean to wake you" Zoro holds you a little tighter placing a kiss on your head "it's ok, did you have fun?" your tired voice asks as he carries you out the room "Yea we did. Kuina's in bed, i think we tired her out and i think we tired you out too" he laughs a little walking down the hall "I wasn't sleeping i was just resting my eyes" you lie, and he knows it, he lets you stand as you get to the bedroom door and opens it for you before walking in with you "What ever you say baby, now go and get dressed" The swordsman whispers to you pushing you to the bathroom. Sanji tucks his daughter into bed and places a kiss on her head "Thanks for today, it was fun" Kuina tiredly says trying to keep her eyes open "It's so problem sweetie, i'm glad you enjoyed it" The cook moves some blonde hair out of her face as her eyes start to close "Good night" he whispers getting off the bed and heading to the door "Night" she calls back as he turns off the light and leaves the door cracked open before heading to the bedroom.

You wonder out of the bathroom and over to Zoro who's sitting on the edge of the bed, he pulls you into him making you straddle his lap as he holds you. Relaxed you sigh and wrap your arms around him letting your eyes close feeling his lips kiss your jawline and down your neck to your shoulder "Tired baby?" he whispers into your neck only earning a nod in response, he chuckles a little and turns to lay you down as the bedroom door opens and Sanji walks in, he smiles at the two of you before heading to the bathroom to get changed. You get into bed, Zoro laying next to you and pulling your back into his chest, it wasn't long before Sanji joins you two walking around the bed to get in and kiss both your cheeks before laying down and placing his forehead against yours "Thank you my love" The cook whispers seeing you smile "You did most of the work" you whisper back keeping your eyes closed "I didn't mean about today, i meant for the kids" You crack an eye open at his words feeling Zoro kiss your neck as he sits up a little "If it weren't for you we wouldn't have two amazing kids" Zoro smiles down at you rubbing your stomach "You are amazing Y/N, thank you Mi amour" Sanji runs his fingers over your cheek as you open both your eyes to look at them, you know why but their words make you want to cry but you hold back the tears placing your hands on theirs.

Zoro bends down and kisses your shoulder as Sanji places a kiss on your forehead "We love you so much" They both say in unison laughing a little at the fact they did "I love you both too" you whisper back as Zoro lays back down behind you keeping his hand on your stomach while Sanji rubs your cheek with his thumb. They could tell the words hit hard although they don't know why, maybe it's a mother thing but either way they want you to know how grateful they are to have you. "I couldn't have done any of this without you two... you mean so much to me" you whisper tightening your grip on them, Sanji smiles and places a small kiss on your lips moving his hand to hold yours while Zoro leans over and kisses your cheek. The two boys look at each other for a moment before kissing each other a few times "Night" The swordsman smiles at the cook then down at you moving your head, so he can kiss your lips, you lean up a bit for him while kissing him back. The cook lays his head on the pillow and cuddles up to you once the swordsman pulls away and lays back down. You relax into them closing your eyes and enjoying the feeling of then being close to you as you slowly drift off to sleep.

So this one really, REALLY explores Sanji’s duties as a chef and how far he’d be willing to go to ensure that his crew won’t starve (if you know what the title of the fic means then you’re halfway there) and there are heavy warnings at the start of the fic that I won’t repeat but I will state that the fic is tagged with “angst with a happy ending” so a heaping helping of optimism is needed whilst reading!

I love when a One Piece fic explores the connections between the Straw Hats (some more than others, cough ZORO cough) and I especially love the flashbacks we get with Chef Zeff— I will never be able to stop thinking about them and clutching at my chest like I’m trying to ease an unseen weight (the burden, oh the burden of loving a fictional blond man).

I love how Sanji is written, how we get to see him reduced to his base components, how as he thins with each day we see what becomes transparent beneath all the layers; who he truly is when stripped down to the bone.

There is also a scene that is so reverent; so intimate; so raw that it feels like a violation to intrude upon such a private moment and a discourtesy that it isn’t being analysed and examined by every literature study or professor alive. Fluff

- When Sanji is cooking Zoro likes to wrap his arms around Sanji’s waist and rest his head on his shoulder and gently falls asleep. His body moves with Sanji as Sanji makes his way around the galley. “Oi Marimo, you’re dragging me down.” Zoro just mumbles in response and snuggles closer to Sanji’s neck. Sanji then smiles and ruffles his hair.

- Zoro definitely loves Sanji’s slutty little waist (me too fr). Before they started dating Zoro was definitely intrigued by how small Sanji’s waist was. Anytime Zoro got a glimpse of it, his eyes would trail after it. Even during shower time, Zoro’s eyes would linger for a bit too long making Sanji land a kick to his head. When they officially started dating Zoro took every chance he could to wrap his hands around Sanji’s waist. (They fit perfectly around it).

- When they’re sleeping, before Sanji leaves to get breakfast started, Zoro will wake up a bit earlier to gently brush away Sanji’s hair and see both of those swirly eyebrows he loves. He’ll proceed to kiss his forehead and whisper how beautiful he is. Sometimes Sanji will wake up and see Zoro’s loving gaze on his, he’ll get flustered a bit, but Zoro loves it. They’ll share a short kiss and then Sanji is off to make breakfast.

- I love the Sanji has heterochromia headcanon. It holds such a special place in my heart. Zoro loves Sanji’s heterochromia, but Sanji doesn’t understand why. He’s hidden it with his bangs because his brother’s used to target him for his eyes. Zoro heals Sanji’s inner child every time he pulls away Sanji’s bangs and tells him how beautiful his eyes are. “God cook. I wanna cut these stupid bangs of yours so I can see these two pretty eyes of yours.” Sanji melts on the spot.

- Sanji and Zoro still have their silly little duels of course. But Sanji lands his kicks a little softer and Zoro tries extra carefully to not nic Sanji with his swords.

Angsty

- Zoro sometimes likes to show affection to Sanji physically as he likes to be touchy, but only with him. Sanji accepts cuddles, hugs, hand holding, and kissing. But hates being smothered as he feels suffocated. Once they were cuddling in bed and Zoro and him had a playful fight. Zoro tried to get the upper hand by wrapping his arms around Sanji’s head and squeezing. Sanji then starts to panic and fight against Zoro which only encourages Zoro to squeeze harder. Sanji feels like he’s 6 years old again stuck in the cell with that metal helmet on his head. He then will starts to struggle frantically against Zoro and scream a little in protest. Zoro finally understanding releases Sanji and sees tears running down his face. Zoro will then feel immediately bad and try to calm Sanji down apologizing. Sanji begins to sob and turns away from Zoro a little embarrassed. Zoro will then take the rest of the day to make it up to Sanji and Sanji finally tells him about his past and Zoro listens intently. He and Sanji talk it out and set boundaries.

- Zoro sometimes feels like he can’t protect Sanji, that he won’t be good enough for him. When a battle with some pesky pirates renders Sanji injured a little, Zoro completely blames himself and sits by Sanji’s beside immensely apologizing but Sanji tells him that it’s okay and it’s only a minor sprain. “Stupid cook making me worry. Gosh why do you gotta scare me like that.”

i just woke up so if my words are all over the place that's probably why! being productive right here! waking up early! somebody shoot me! fighting the urge to go back to sleep so i can reply to your silly lil awesome questions! i need a coffee.

AND!!! I REALLY LIKE THE SHIP!!! (just saw you're on impel down so i won't spoil anything!)

i mean, it's not my favorite ship and i'm not crazy about it like, idk, my fiancé is crazy about them (but again, she's crazy about zosan and lawlu and i'm not so we have to deal with each other's bullshit all the time). but i find their relationship really, really interesting and complex and cool to explore. i was just writing a fic about them being besties and super clingy, gonna cry. baby boys.

i personally see them more as just best friends, but hey! if there are cute fanarts and content i'm not going to scroll away!! it's a good and cute ship!!! they're bffs almost instantly and usopp's intelligence really disappears when he's with luffy which is, not only hilarious but extremely refreshing to see. let the anxious boy be dumb and reckless!! they're so chaotic!!

not to mention that it's not only their dynamic that makes them good, but the whole water 7/enies lobby thing. i fear that if i talk about this much i might start sobbing. but, like,,, their fight is the first time we see luffy actively cry on screen. we see luffy losing control of his crew, something he used to have control over. we see luffy lost and act impulsively and not knowing what to do because his best friend and sniper is about to go away and his heart fucking breaks into a million little pieces. because luffy sees usopp's potential and he wants him with the crew, but he can't do anything to help if usopp doesn't believe in himself. and also, the merry, which is another thing luffy loses control over and has to act like a logical captain about it but we all know it's heartbreaking for him too. and then there's usopp, who feels inferior and not worthy of being part of this amazing crew. even though he has shown over and over again to be part of this little family. he just feels like he doesn't belong here. and, you know, he says he's angry because of the merry but we all know the fight isn't about that.

so, we all agree that water 7 is very very peak lusopp (and sanuso, but tbf it's just peak usopp in general because he has great scenes with everyone. especially the monster trio, shout out to my boy zoro), and then enies lobby is when they make up and it's beautiful and heartbreaking and the way usopp yells at luffy to stand up and fight makes me want to curl up on the floor and sob for ages and ages and ag-

and i would go into detail about luffy's character but i don't want to spoil anything, so let's just focus on usopp here:

lusopp's dynamic works well both as a friendship and as a ship, mainly because they're both on the same page when it comes to silly shenanigans. we see them actively enjoying being with each other and doing stupid things together and that's just,,, so sweet. but also, usopp is one of those people that have to ground luffy sometimes and tell him "fuck, no. haha. we're so not doing that" because despite acting silly, he's pretty much more logical and rational than luffy is. but, you know, the reason he's like that most of the time is because he's scared of fucking dying (which i understand. i'd be scared too in that crew. i'm glad nami is always agreeing with him with these things), and he has to be the one to stop luffy (try to, at least. never really works) from doing extremely dangerous things. which is both hilarious and actually pretty cute to watch because it shows us how well usopp knows luffy. it's obvious that they're best friends. dude knows what luffy is going to do minutes before luffy even thinks about doing it. and luffy really, really admires and loves usopp's abilities and strengths and brains. all the things usopp is insecure about? luffy loves them!!!

and, you know, it's a good ship because they have that sort of bff energy, but if you make it romantic and angsty and more intimate? that's just better! i feel like their ship is just- those friendships that turn into romantic relationships but their dynamic doesn't really change at the end of the day? and i find that really endearing.

luffy makes usopp see the best in himself and makes him want to improve as a pirate to follow his dream and feel like he belongs in the crew. usopp makes luffy be a bit more grounded to reality whenever he needs to, and he was the first one to make luffy realize that, well, fuck, he's the captain of a ship and he needs to be responsible and make harsh decisions.

but now that they're together again, luffy is sooo not going to let him go ever again. and usopp will never try to do so because he just wants to keep fighting for him!!!

it's such an endearing and funny and angsty ship. i think i just don't really ship them much because i'm more of a sanuso/zolu kind of person. but at this point just make it poly and everybody is happy (except nami bc she has to deal with the 4 of them being in love and that would be extremely tiring. somebody bring back vivi for her PLEASE).

but yeah, cute ship. not my favorite but awesome to explore and tbh one of my favorite friendships in this show. very underrated but that's just bc usopp is underrated af and it makes my blood boil with anger and the fury of hell itself. that's for another day, though!

sanlu - the subtext between a captain and a cook got to me, man. Also the devotion still gets to me, and I think those two would make for very cute old people

frobin - genuinely forget this one isn't canon sometimes. Autism x Autism. They make eachother happy. I don't know what more to say

navi - listen. I know a lot of the ship is based on fanon because Yuri is hard to come by in a show that doesn't pass the bechdel test within the first 500 episodes. But I don't care. Let me enjoy my lesbian Aladin in peace. Nami being a cutpurse mad at the world for what it did to her and Vivi being a princess desperately trying to control the world just to keep it safe.
