Eiffel question: What's his favourite (and least favourite) kind of weather?

well, i think he's always hated the cold, and he definitely hates it even more now. i don't think he even likes wearing long sleeves unless he absolutely has to; he's always wearing tanks or t-shirts and/or has his sleeves rolled up. and he's a barefoot by default kind of guy. i think he would scoff at people who say cold weather is better because you can just layer up; he does not consider that comfort.

(and he lived somewhere that rarely ever gets snow anyway, but he does not get the appeal. it's cold and wet and he'd have to shovel it and then he'd get sick and also slip and break every bone in his body. he's convinced of that. he could enjoy spending a few days at a cabin in the mountains as long as all he had to do was get cozy inside with a wood burning fireplace and a hot beverage. but only for a couple of days, or he'd go crazy. eiffel loves the idea of feeling like a rugged outdoorsman, as long as it doesn't require anything too outdoorsy.)

that said, he lived in texas, so you know he hates hot weather, too. summer is brutal, and he's already a sweaty guy who runs hot. spring makes his pollen allergies flare up. ... he just loves to complain. he can always find something to complain about. eiffel's ideal weather is like, 80-85 degrees and sunny with a light breeze. and even then. bugs.

#i think he can get into the atmosphere of a thunderstorm in the right circumstances but he's not a rainy day type of guy #he's not even an indoors guy really he's just. something.#letting him in and out like a dog.#i actually think he likes to build stuff outside as long as it's hobby stuff and not a chore and also it's not too unpleasant. weather wise #also i waver on where he grew up but if you assume his character bio saying he was born in boston means he was raised there #then the fact he moved to texas is kinda extra like. yeah he does not want winter. he does not like that.#either way. eiffel thinks if it's below 70 it's getting chilly #hi beth thank you <3 #asks

maybe i exaggerated a bit by bringing my coat w me😩

#i havent been able to update yaaallll on my life today!!!#basically i had an exam (failed both parts) then i met w a friend #who organized a kind of meet-up w ppl from the dorms (from when she was there. kinda like the 'main' friendgroup #ive had in the dorms tbh). it got cut short bc most ppl couldnt come (work) bc they were gonna be late #so i left on the bus back home. which she took w me. and then i basically sprinted to catch my (city) bus to my house #i literally wen 'hi. bye' to my dad. bc now i have to meet w another friend for her bday dinner #and i wasnt sure i was gonna make it at the time she said to meet #but it seems i actually might???? idk #but anyways i grabbed a jacket in case it got chilly tonight and rn im in the bus and im fine #but when i stepped outside my house w the jacket i thought maybe i had overdone it #ok no im definitely gonna be (a bit) late lmao #ive had 4 hrs (i think) of sleep today plus the maybe 10-15 minutes on the bus. idk how im still standing tbh #z xarre

when will we as a society be free from the death grip Sriracha has on restaurants when you want your food spicy.

bestie u used all these flavorful spices and sauces and you're overpowering all of them by just drowning it in Sriracha, i can barely taste anything else.

#this didn't happen rn im having a breakfast burrito n squeezing A BIT at a time #and like. in controlled amounts it's good bc there's Balance. yeah i can taste the Sriracha but i can taste everything else too.#but the last thing I got was a yakisoba dish but they DROWNED it in sriracha when i asked for it spicy and 😭#which was unfortunate bc it felt like a pound or a few of food and I couldn't eat more than a few bites 😔#like when iii make my food spicy i use actual spices or make the sauce/salsa etc. u can taste it all and it's v flavorful n hot.#kinda wanna make more chilli oil again 🤤 always vaguely craving peppercorn #i feel like my list of bottled hot sauce i fw is small tho. red rooster/Louisiana. tapatío. tobasco chipotle. and uh.#that's it (⁠｡⁠ﾉ⁠ω⁠＼⁠｡⁠) I'll use some Valentina too if there's nothing else but yeah.#i have a high tolerance so none of these are hot and just taste very vinegary or tomato-y to me (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠)#i don't mind tomato but i do Not like vinegar outside of very specific dishes

okay so, it's already August and I realized I have to book my fall vacation if I want to have one. original plan was to triangulate the exact time in which I can cause maximum pain to my coworkers, but no one will tell me when that is and my psychic powers are failing :/

Sooooo I've triangulated the best time to take off as the 10th - 18th of October. There's Canadian Thanksgiving on the 9th (planning your vacation around stats so you get bonus days off is Primo Adulting), and I'd also have my mom's birthday off so we could do something fun. And I think that'll be the sweet spot where we usually have our very short fall, so it'll be chilly enough to do lots of cooking and baking but not so chilly/such bad weather that I can't go for a hike/drive. (If it's one of the years where we have an extremely late summer or early winter I will just. Die. Especially if it insists on being 20+ C). I could also take the 3rd/half of the last week of October off, which might be more ideal weather-wise and spooky-enjoyment-wise, but I'd get one less day bc there's no stat to align my time off with.

Anyway sorry this post has no purpose other than I'm scared to book my vacation bc I don't want to use up my vacation days 😭 but also I really want to book it so I have something to look forward to...

#i also kinda wanted Halloween off but i realized it falls on a work from home day anyway #so i can still make slow cooker chilli or whatever and watch horror movies and be chill #also i won't have a week off during nanowrimo but. i haven't won nano since 2020 anyway and I don't think 'not enough writing time' is the #problem anymore. more like 'not enough motivation' or 'not enough ideas' lmao #anyway aaaaggghhhh decisions decisions #why can't i be like my aunt and get like 2 full months of vacation time. i need to be an independent contractor for the govt #(part of the reason she gets so much time is just A Good Job but also she's non-union but there IS a union in her workplace so...#... they got really good raises for their employees. but rhe govt funding didn't stretch to raises for non-union employees...#so the compromise was non-union employees get a ridiculous amount of vacation/personal days #anyway in conclusion a) bookin vacation time hard and b) unions are good for everyone actually

I think I'll be able to get back to full speed soon, feel like this heat wave got me acclimated to the summer season. It really isn't that bad if not for the fact it was a very sudden jump in temperature.

I mean I'm playing on hard since I still don't have any climate control other than wet rags and fans lmao.
