A secret to my funny tags are: that's just me✨ my little weirdo self✨ being weird and silly babbyy!!!
But really if you wanna be I guess "Funny" in the tags just don't think, just say the wild shit! Would a normal person confess to wanting to suck Marko off through his jeans hole in his chaps?? NO!! but I'm not normal!
And also it's a joke of that meme of, "Your mom sucks me good through my jorts" meme I saw a lot and it stuck with me!
Just silly things, random unfilted thoughts a lot, wildness, me being me!!! It's good! Hell make slightly fixed references!!
Let the tags be an extension of you!! Let them be apart of you!!
You’re so sweet for this🥹 I adore you
Unfortunately bestie, I am a chronic overthinker, but imma try!!!!

Okay so this what I think the obey me brother’s enneagram numbers would be
For those who don’t know what an enneagram is, it’s a personality type, the numbers are 1-9. The “W” means wing, it is the other personality you resonate with, but it can only be the number before or after that number. Ex: 2w3 or 2w1
Also if you’re wondering (prolly not) I’m a 6w7
Lucifer: a 1w2
1 is the reformer (The Rational, Idealistic Type: Principled, Purposeful, Self-Controlled, and Perfectionistic)
2: is the fixer (The Caring, Interpersonal Type: Demonstrative, Generous, People-Pleasing, and Possessive)
I was thinking about making him an 8 but I feel like he is definitely more of a perfectionist. He is very responsible and hardworking but also cares about his image.
Mammon: 6w7
6 is the loyalist (The Committed, Security-Oriented Type: Engaging, Anxious, and Suspicious)
7 is the enthusiast (The Busy, Fun-Loving Type: Spontaneous, Versatile, Distractible, and Scattered)
So I’m also a 6w7 and mammon and I have a lot in common. I feel like he craves security from his brothers. He wants to feel love and safety from them. You also can not convince me this man isn’t as loyal as a golden retriever.
Leviathan: 4w5
Okay so this one I’m very set on
4 is the individualist (The Sensitive, Withdrawn Type: Expressive, Dramatic, Self-Absorbed, and Temperamental)
5 is the investigator (The Intense, Cerebral Type: Perceptive, Innovative, Secretive, and Isolated)
YOU CANT TELL ME THESE ARENT LEVI I DONT EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN
Satan: 8w9
8 is the challenger (The Powerful, Dominating Type: Self-Confident, Decisive, Willful, and Confrontational)
9 is the peacemaker (The Easygoing, Self-Effacing Type: Receptive, Reassuring, Agreeable, and Complacent)
You may think these kind of contradict but I think these are both true. Satan is a very dominant personality and is self confident and strong, but he can also be very calm and agreeable and very pleasant to talk to. I also feel like he would be a great diffuser of situations despite being the avatar of wrath
Asmo: 3w2
3 is the achiever (The Success-Oriented, Pragmatic Type: Adaptive, Excelling, Driven, and Image-Conscious)
2 is the helper ( The Caring, Interpersonal Type: Demonstrative, Generous, People-Pleasing, and Possessive)
I think he is very much a 3, very set on boosting his image and making his way up in the world. I think he is a wing 2 because I think he is very caring but I think he could also be a wing 4
Beelzebub: 2w1
2 is the helper ( The Caring, Interpersonal Type: Demonstrative, Generous, People-Pleasing, and Possessive)
1 is the reformer (The Rational, Idealistic Type: Principled, Purposeful, Self-Controlled, and Perfectionistic)
You cannot tell me Beel isn’t a 2. He’s so kind and generous and will definitely help you if you ever need anything. I chose 1 as his wing cuz u feel like he is very self-controlled and fit this personality better than a 3
Belphigor: 8w7
8 is the challenger (The Powerful, Dominating Type: Self-Confident, Decisive, Willful, and Confrontational)
7 is the enthusiast (The Busy, Fun-Loving Type: Spontaneous, Versatile, Distractible, and Scattered)
I feel that he is also an 8, like Satan. He is a very powerful and dominating person. I feel like he would be a wing 7 cuz he can be very fun and spontaneous when he’s not sleeping
Thanks for reading 💛

Dawson’s Creek: Andie McPhee - Type 1w2
Tumblr media
Andie is supportive, controlling and responsible. She is a high achiever and a people pleaser who often tries to do what she believes is the right thing for others.
At her best, Andie remains to be very driven but becomes more sure of herself and less rigid in her beliefs. She starts to listen to her own desires more and is less black and white in the expectations she puts onto herself and others.
At her worst, Andie disintegrates to 4 and becomes very withdrawn and emotional. The series shows that she suffers from a mental illness and at her worst we see how she spirals as a result of the many feelings she is experiencing. She pushes the people who are close to her away and doesn’t want to burden them with how she feels.
Andie takes on a lot of responsibilities in her family and has a habit of micromanaging others as a result of her need to control and create a perfect image of herself and her family. She is well intentioned but can overstep her boundaries and try to tell others how they should live their life, which comes across as if she is judging them. Andie has become this as she feels like she needs to be perfect and has to be a “good” child due to in part the stress her family went through with her brothers death. This is part of the reason she pushes herself so hard to maintain excellent grades and take care of things at home.
Tumblr media
Andie always holds a special place in her heart for Pacey and through her relationship with him showed more of her fun side. She is often described as perfectionist and uptight but with Pacey she shows a lighter side that is more playful. Despite this, she still pushes Pacey to be the best he can be as she sees the potential he has and wants him to realise his own worth. She helps him with his studies and holds him more accountable to what he can achieve.
Andie has a wing 2 as she is quite extroverted and seems more emotional that a wing 9 might be.
Tri-type: 1w2 - 6w7 - 2w3
Some quotes to describe Andie’s motivations:
“What about your gradepoint? You still care about that, don't you? It's not going to survive a suspension, Pacey. It will destroy all the hard work you've done and you'll be right back at square one.”
“She's been here all along. Just trapped beneath the bondage of Gap clothing and a good-girl complex.”
“It's just that I molded you into this person that I thought you should be and I did it to my father, too. I thought it was what I needed, you know? I place this unfair burden on people just so they can save me from myself but I realize I don't need a knight in shining armor. I need a partner. Someone I'm proud to love and who's proud to love me back in spite of all my faults and it's you. You're the one, Pacey. I'm sorry.”
“It may look perfect, but stretch beneath the surface and you will find distrangement, despair, and dysfunction. I mean, at least your family's imperfection reflects reality. My family, we look perfect, but on the inside we're falling apart.”
“Pacey, I keep adding things to my list instead of substracting. With school, my mother, Jack, you, something's got to give and the way I see it, there's only one thing expendable on that list.”
“You asked me how I'd feel! Look, I don't need this. I don't need to be criticized for a hypothetical feeling over a hypothetical situation that is completely unfathomable.”

So, I am an ENFP [redacted] and I am very enthusiastic about typology (it’s one of the few interests that have stuck with me for more than a few months). Your blog is almost my only source of knowledge, which means, of course, everything I know, I know because of you. […] Has anything similar ever happened to you online or even here, on Tumblr? Has anybody ever discredited your knowledge without providing actual arguments? Or has anybody ever questioned your type because you don’t give them “ENFP vibes”?
Okay, for the other people reading this, in a nutshell the OP tried to have intelligent discussions about character typing online, but then got flooded with shit-posts, which turned into a bombardment of troll abuse attacking her on a personal level and insisting she must not be her own type because of her debating style. :P
I’m sorry you went through all of that, and got bullied off the platform. I’m afraid that’s why a lot of forums and public discussion places (including IMDb’s discussion boards, which I loved) have had to shut down – because bored TP trolls take over the discussion and insult people and/or flood it with spam. As for not taking a public place of discussion seriously – that tells you their mindset. This is a place to troll when I’m bored, and any serious, intelligent discussion of the topic at hand intimidates me because I know nothing. So take some satisfaction in that your arguments were so good, the only tactic any of them had was to attack you personally – the classic misdirection of a beaten opponent.
I’ve been called an ESTJ many times online because I don’t fit into people’s presumed stereotypes about ENFPs being emotional airheads. One of my first discussions with an “INTJ” (debatable now) on a forum resulted in them telling me that I reminded them of their ESTJ sister and was probably an ESTJ instead of an ENFP because when they asked me to describe my thought process, instead of using a metaphor to describe it, I answered them plainly and said what my mind does. It’s funny in hindsight that they assumed an ENFP would always be living in some metaphorical place where there’s no straight answers to questions, but at the time it was very confusing and a little insulting as a newbie to the system to be told I had to be a high thinking-sensing type.
There are also still people who assume SFJ was right about me, even though I think I’ve given enough proof of always-rethinking to leave a trail of Ne-dom evidence everywhere on the internet by now. It used to bother me, but I does less these days since I know myself better than a stranger knows me.
As for discrediting or ignoring my knowledge without providing actual arguments, yes, all the time… the key tactic of someone who doesn’t know anything and cannot offer a decent argument is to make an argument personal. Once the focus shifts off the topic onto you, you know they are done / beaten, but they are hoping to use the personal insults as a distraction. In short: they got nothing. I face this all the time when I type a popular character against the popular typing for them, which is based on nothing but air. Elsa is not an INFJ, Tony Stark is not an ENTP, and way more of their favorite character are sensors than intuitives. If there’s no direct evidence, you don’t follow a generalization or a stereotype.
For what it’s worth, characters are only as good as their characterization. Some characters can be so poorly written that after 8 hours, you still don’t have a clue – and since I’m a perfectionist who tries to get things ‘right’ that can be greatly frustrating. I’m slowly learning in those cases to just make an educated guess, offer what evidence I can to support it, and if it’s wrong, it’s wrong. It’s not the end of the world.
The thing is, people like you and me take typology seriously. We want to get it right and have intelligent conversations about it and treat it in a serious and intellectual manner. But the vast majority of people don’t care that much, so to them, it doesn’t bother them nearly as much to see an ESTJ 1w2 character mistyped ENFX on a public form. An ENFP who is taking something seriously and providing evidence for it can indeed come across as strongly Te, by the force of their arguments since it’s one of their passions. It doesn’t invalidate you as being a Ne-dom, but what people are seeing in that moment is fierce Te. “Where the hell is your evidence, you are talking crap!?” isn’t what they expect from a “sparkly manic pixie dream girl” but often what they will get.
ETA: In a public space, you are also running into anti-feeler bias among uneducated thinking types who assume F in your letter combination means you are “emotional” rather than someone who makes ethical judgments. It’s sad, but another facet of bigotry within the casual MBTI community (which also devalues sensing types in favor of intuitive types). The irony is that a great many internet thinkers are not the type they assume themselves to be (aka, not INTJs) and a fair number of them aren’t intuitives, either.

Enneagram Types for the TFP characters
So I decided that I am, in fact going to type all the characters because I’m a big nerd with too much time on my hands so here you go.
Disclaimer: I’m not an expert on the enneagram. This is mostly based off my own research and interpretations of the characters. If you think a certain character should have a different type than I gave them let me know! I spent an embarrassing amount of time on this and I’d love some feedback
Autobots
Optimus Prime: 1w9
He deeply wants to be good and have others see him as good, and highly values peace and stability. Hates conflict but still willing to Throw Down if you do something he finds morally reprehensible.
Ratchet: 5w4
Just looking at the episode where he injects himself with space steroids so he can keep up with the rest of the team makes it pretty clear he’s terrified of being seen as incompetent. I could also see him as a 5w6 but he seems like a guy that would be interested in theory for theory’s sake so I gave him a 4 wing.
Bulkhead: 6w7
Super loyal, deeply values connections to others but also a mech who likes to have fun. Fears losing his friends and his place on Team Prime more than anything, as seen in the episode where he’s worried about Smokescreen replacing him.
Arcee: 6w5 (counterphobic)
Prickly and standoffish to anybody outside of her intermediate circle, but extremely loyal to the few she’s close to. Her biggest fear is losing another partner after already having lost Tailgate and Cliffjumper to the war.
Bumblebee: 6w7
Like Bulkhead, he’s very loyal to his human partner Raf and the rest of Team Prime but also has a lighthearted, fun side. Very protective but not to the point of being overbearing.
Ultra Magnus: 1w2
Super strict, by-the-book perfectionist who wants to Get Shit Done the right way. He shows he cares about the team and the cause by keeping everyone else in line.
Smokescreen: 7w6
A human (robot?) ball of energy who can’t stand to stay still for more than five seconds, he wants his life to be a big adventure. His 6 wing however keeps him in check, and he’s willing to listen when others tell him he’s gone too far.
Wheeljack: 8w7
With his need to be in control of his own life at all costs and lack of respect for authority, he jumped out to be as an 8 right away. His biggest fear is being controlled and his second biggest fear is being bored, hence the 7 wing.
Decepticons:
Megatron: 8w7
Hyper aggressive, absolute need to control everyone and everything and stubborn to the point of killing off his home planet, he’s 100% an 8 and a very unhealthy one at that.
Starscream: 3w2 (maybe 3w4)
His biggest drive in life is to be seen as successful and worthy of respect. Unlike Megatron who wants to lead for the sake of power and conquest, Starscream wants the position for the prestige. The power might be a perk, but he ultimately wants to be admired and fears being seen as worthless above all. While I think he’s absolutely a 3, I was really torn between typing him with a 2 or 4 wing. Right now I’m leaning slightly towards 3w2.
Soundwave: 6w5
Loyal to a fault towards Megatron, Laserbeak and the Decepticon cause and highly competent, he seems to embody this type the best. It’s kind of hard to tell for sure though since he hardly speaks.
Shockwave: 5w6
Just let him hide away in his cave and work on his science experiments and he’ll be more than happy. Because of this I could also see him as a 5w4, but he seems to be very results oriented.
Knock Out: 7w8
KO is a 7, no doubt about it. He’s here for a good time and if you get in his way, you better prepare for surgery!
He resents being under someone else’s control and will rebel in any way he can (sneaking out to drive in theaters, making sarcastic quips at Starscream, etc) but usually not as directly as an 8 would. Which is a good thing because if he told Megatron off he’d probably have gotten scrapped a long time ago. I also gave him an 8 wing because he genuinely doesn’t seem to give a damn about what anyone thinks of him and I think a 7w6 would be a bit more concerned about appearing “appropriate.”
Breakdown: 9w8
Generally a pretty laidback guy who doesn’t want to cause trouble with people (unless you’re Bulkhead) but has a stubbornness to him that keeps him from being a pushover. He also has no problem throwing hands with his enemies, and tends to get a temper when frustrated.
Arachnid: 8w7
Extremely aggressive and willing to throw down with anyone who pisses her off, even when she really, really shouldn’t (as she discovered with Soundwave). Has the fun loving side of the 7 wing but what she considers fun is kidnapping, killing, and torturing people so... yeah. Basically if she was human, she’d probably be a serial killer.
Dreadwing: 6w5
Loyalty is like his main personality trait, so he definitely seems very 6 ish to me. He mostly just wants to be left alone to do his job and serve Megatron while avenging his brother’s death.
Humans:
Jack Darby: 6w5 (or 6w7)
Tbh this was a hard nut to crack. He seems to take his responsibilities pretty seriously but he’s not above screwing around and doing dumb things every now and then. Mostly he just wants to live a normal life and be safe but he’s willing to defend those he cares about when it comes down to it.
Miko Nakadai: 7w6
Basically the human teenage girl version of Smokescreen but even more chaotic. She wants to live life to the absolute fullest and if that means risking getting stepped on by a giant robot, she’s willing to take that risk.
Raf Esquivel: 5w6
AKA Ratchet’s favorite child. Like Jack he’s not particularly eager to put himself in danger or cause trouble, but his curiosity and desire to learn about alien technology and culture often overrides his need for security and safety.
June Darby: 2w1
Eh, really not sure of this one but it feels right? Has that need to take care of others that is common in 2′s but is also willing to call you out if you do something stupid.
Agent Fowler: 6w5
Again, it just kinda feels right? He’s loyal to Team Prime but is also kinda pissed off he has to deal with all this alien bullshit he didn’t sign up for (as he should).

hey! i was wondering if i could get a matchup, if your requests are open ofc (any gender, but i’d prefer men please!) and my fandom of choice is genshin impact!
I’m an ISFJ 1w2, and i’m always trying to help people with things and/or doing things for people (bc i’d feel guilty if i didn’t). I’m pretty shy, but i have my moments when i’m bubbly and energetic (albeit not often). I have many different hobbies to help me connect to other people easier, like cooking, drawing, and competitive swimming.
I may not have the fittest body, but i still try my best in competitive sports (maybe a little too much, since i have a very intense type 1 enneagram of being a perfectionist). Another habit i have is that i tend to be morally good, which i try to help other achieve this goal too (with kindness ofc)! I also take a lot of things seriously, and i tend to overthink a lot. Despite this, I try my best to realistic!
My type normally includes extroverts that act like golden retriever (metaphorically), and generally sweet people are my type! The most attractive mbti types to me are ESFPs, ENFPs, ENFJs, and ESFJs :)
I hope this is good enough! I cant wait to see who’ll you’ll match me up with <3 sorry if this is long btw
send us a bit about you + a fandom and we’ll do a matchup!
hi anon, kai here! yes, requests are open, and don't worry about the length it's fine :D
i match you with...
Tumblr media
barbara !
↬ while less energetic than a golden retriever, barbara definitely has the sweet demeanor and general innocence of a puppy dog
↬ she’s your number one fan and if you ever participate in a sports tournament, know she’ll be in the front row cheering
↬ she’s not particularly sporty herself but she does her best to help you if she can
↬ the two of you are well known as being really nice, always ready to lend a helping hand to someone who needs it
↬ this does mean that when you hang out, 9 times out of 10 whatever plans you had will get sidetracked by some travelling merchant needing help or a cat stuck in a tree, but she enjoys it and she hopes you do too
also under consideration :
↬ bennet, chongyun

Remus Lupin
Remus is the most well-read out of all the marauders. He’s also shyer and more careful than the others, and they all come to him with their problems.
From your Myers Briggs and Enneagram type, I can see that you’re a fair person who values being good.
One of your biggest fears is be being immoral and at times you may doubt yourself. Remus definitely relates with this because he feels like as a werewolf, he’s not a good person or ‘damaged goods.’
In Defense of the Dark Arts, you were learning about werewolves and the professer seemed to be very predjudiced against them. You also noticed that Remus seemed to shrink into his seat every time the teacher would talk.
You hadn’t paid much attention to Remus before, but you could tell the professer was making him uncomfortable, and you absolutely hated how he was generalizing an entire species.
After class, you made a point to speak to Remus often. At first he was a bit surprised you were talking to him but after a while, you guys became good friends. You both were creative, caring people with a love for reading.
You soon realized a pattern in Remus’ behaviour, he was ‘sick’ every full moon and he had scars that resembled those of victims of werewolf attacks. You gently confronted him about it and he panicked.
“I’m so sorry, I promise I won’t hurt you. Please don’t tell anyone.”
He was assuming that at best, you would never talk to him again but at least keep his secret, and at worst, you’d tell the whole school and get him expelled.
You reassured him you weren’t going to tell anyone and that you didn’t think any differently of him. To be honest, he was a bit suspicious at first. He expected a bigger reaction.
The marauders literally corner you the next day and try to determine if you were being honest. “No, for the 6th time, I’m not going to tell anyone about Remus. Now move please, I really need to get to Potions.”
You continue to treat Remus the same as before but he started to avoid you. After confronting him, he burst out, “You shouldn’t be around me, I’m not safe.”
You got angry at that, “Bullshit. You hang around Potter, Black, Pettigrew and Evans all the time. If you don’t like me, just come right out and say it.”
Defense against the Dark Arts is painfully awkward. You can feel Remus staring at you throughout the class. The professer continued to drone on and on about how werewolves were a ‘danger to society.’
Before you knew it, you were standing up and shouting at him. “You should be ashamed of yourself. You call yourself a professer when you’re the most ignorant, pathetic excuse for a wizard I’ve ever met. You’re supposed to teach us, not attempt to pass on your prejudiced beliefs.”
Remus was wide eyed and staring at you in awe.
The professer gave you detention, obviously, and took a shit ton of house points, but it was worth it.
After you get out of detention, Remus was waiting for you. He had snuck out of his dorm room using James’ invisibility cloak.
When you asked him what he was doing here, he started profusely apologizing. His apology was cjt short when you both heard footsteps echoing down the corridor and Remus pulled you under the cloak.
You were pressed flush up against his chest and you could hear his heart pounding. He lowkey smelled like chocolate.
McGonagall comes down the hall just as Remus whips the cloak over the both of you, and pauses where you were hiding.
She studies the place you’re standing and you have an eerie suspicion she knows you’re there. That suspicion is confirmed when she raises her eyesbrows and says in a brisk voice, “Lupin, Y/LN, I expect the both of you to be back in your respective dorms within the next five minutes.”
Remus’ head peaked out of the cloak and he gave McGonagall a sheepish smile, “Yes Proffeser, I was just going to walk Y/N back to the Ravenclaw tower.”
“Make sure you return to your own dorm after you do that,” McGonagall said dryly.
Both of you blushed at the implication before scurrying away.
“Shit, I thought McGonogall was going to get angry. “ Nah, she has a soft spot for me.”
“Teacher’s pet much, Remus?” “I’m surprised you even had to ask.”
He walks you to the Ravenclaw tower and start to walk away after biding you a goodnight. “Wait!” you call, and he turns around. You hesitate before pressing a soft kiss to his lips, “Goodnight Remus.”
“Goodnight Y/N.”
Ahh I actually really liked this one, I hope you like it too!!!

Supergirl Enneagram Types
Okay, after months of procrastination research, I finally compiled a list for the enneagram types of the main characters of supergirl (at least most of them).
Before we dive in, I would highly recommend checking out the enneagram institute’s type descriptions if you’re confused as I won’t be giving full descriptions of the types as that would take too long. I will go into the aspects that informed why I typed each character as such.
For a summary though, there are nine types, one through nine. Most people also have a dominant “wing” one of the types either side of them which influences their personality. For instance, a type 9 could be a 9w1 or a 9w8.
Kara Danvers - 2w3
“I can’t let that stop me from helping the people that need my help”
Twos are often known as “the helper”. Kara’s first priority in any situation is helping people, even at the cost of herself. I mean hell, she flew herself (and fort rozz) into space to prevent planet from being mind controlled. Like a type two, when she is in stress she becomes resentful and angry.
Her three wing shows in how she continually strives to improve herself, working hard to prove her worth to others.
Alex Danvers - 6w5
“You got me”
Sixes are known as the loyal skeptic - and are the type most closely related to anxiety. Alex is extremely loyal to the people she loves - a ride or die sort of woman. Like many type sixes, Alex does not like to be unprepared for a situation but will barrel in headfirst for her loved ones and her community.
Her five wing shows in her introversion and when she taps into the “scientific” portion of her brain, seeking out knowledge to make sense of her surroundings.
J’onn J’onzz - 8w9
“I wouldn’t want to live in a world where I need to change the colour of my skin to feel safe, to feel seen, to feel like I’m not a target. I’d rather change the world.”
Type eight is also known as “the protector”. J’onn throughout the series has progressed to a healthy eight - integrating to the positive traits of a type two, becoming a force for justice and protecting the innocent. He demonstrates eight qualities in the battle with anger most type eights have to reckon with, and the fierce protectiveness he has of his found family.
His nine wing shows in his desire for peace, both in his mind and externally.
Lena Luthor - 1w2
“I will not allow you to judge me and my use of science for the betterment of humanity.”
Type ones are also known as “the reformer” or “the perfectionist”. Their basic fear is of being a corrupt or “bad” person at their core, which certainly applies to Lena who is terrified of becoming like her brother. Lena’s obsession with “fixing” people is emblematic of her type, seeing the differences in the world as flaws that can be fixed by her. The fact that she uses her own morals to determine what is “correct” and is incredibly resistant to criticism, rather than collaborating with others , demonstrates the less healthy qualities of a type one.
Lena really wants to help the world, to be loved and needed by others. Her two wing shows in this.
Nia Nal - 4w3
“The greatest gift we can give each other is our authentic selves”
Until reading that quote, I was stumped on what to type Nia as. She has the energy and optimism of a seven, the desire for fairness and justice like a one or an eight, the desire to help like a two and sometimes the people-pleasing nature of a nine. However, Nia is a type four. The basic desire of a four is to find themselves and their significance and their basic fear is to be without an identity. Nia’s identity is the most important thing to her, not only as a trans woman but as a superhero, a friend, a journalist, a daughter a sister. Identity is so fundamental to the beauty of the world to her, that any attack on someone’s identity is met with a blast of dream energy.
Her three wing shows in her engagement with others and her determined nature towards her work and heroics. Nia wants to leave a mark on the world.
Brainiac 5 - 5w4
“I will beat you up... with physics”
Now, I do understand the irony of a character called Braniac *5* being a *type five*, but he does fit the bill. Type fives crave knowledge and understanding of the world above all else, and if you think Brainy isn’t one who wants to know everything... then I guess we’re watching different shows?
James Olsen - 4w3
“When you take a picture of someone, it’s permanent. You’ve captured the truth of them in that moment and that you can keep forever.”
James is a type four with a strong type three wing. He’s proud of his achievements and doesn’t like to stay in one place career wise for too long, seeking opportunities. However, like Nia, his identity is one of the most important things to him. It’s why he became guardian, he wanted to be more than just the *friend* of a superhero. Identity is why he revealed himself to the world, and why he is so vigilant against injustice.
Winn Schott - 3w2
Winn was tough until I started thinking about the basic fear of the enneagram types. A type three’s basic fear is of being worthless. As Winn progresses throughout the series he slowly becomes more of an “achiever”, being proud of his accomplishments and pushing himself to new heights (and new time periods). Winn wants to be known, to be appreciated for the things he can do and to have something he can be proud of himself for.
Mon El - 7w6
Type sevens are perhaps the most extroverted and optimistic type. Mon El too likes to seek out adventure and not be beholden to mundane things in life. He seeks out the things he enjoys and does his best to avoid pain. Less healthy sevens can be incredibly impulsive and scattered, but like we saw with Mon El is season three, when personal growth is achieved they become more focused.
Kelly Olsen - 9w8
Whilst some may categorise Kelly as a type two as she too enjoys helping people, I don’t think that’s correct. Type twos aren’t afraid to be confrontational, whilst a type nine will prefer to keep the boat steady. Kelly is definitely a calming and steady force in the superfriends.
Guesses (not enough info)
William Dey - type two? (I hope by the end of season six we will know enough about him so I can type him).
Maggie Sawyer - type 8?
Cat Grant - likely type 3
Feel free to send through an ask if you disagree or if you think I’ve missed something, or if you have any queries at all!.

Friends: The actual enneagram types of Rachel, Monica, Ross, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey
Tumblr media
The Protagonist Friend: Rachel Green [Type 3]
Tumblr media
“You know what I figure, if I can do laundry, there's nothing I can't do.”
Enneagram Wing: 3w4 (Achiever along with an individualist)
"It's like all of my life everyone has always told me, 'You're a shoe, you're a shoe, you're a shoe, you're a shoe.' And then today I just stopped and I said, 'What if I don't want to be a shoe? What if I want to be a purse, you know? Or, a hat?'"
Core Fear: Of being worthless
Core Desire: To feel valuable
Childhood wound: You must be extraordinary to deserve love.
Rachel’s deepest fear is not reaching her full potential in life and this is the driving force behind all of her actions. The symbolism of her being a runaway bride in the pilot episode demonstrates just that, she doesn’t want to settle or live a mediocre life. In adolescence her need for value and significance is demonstrated in her popularity, being head cheerleader, and holding a legacy of being the mean girl. The mean girl trope in pop culture often shows that the meal girl’s deepest vulnerability is feeling as if she is less than others. Being mean to others is her coping mechanism to continue feeling superior. In adulthood, Rachel leaves behind a life of privilege she finds unsatisfying and chooses the ‘road less traveled’ for individuals of her upbringing in which she must achieve things on her own. We see Rachel start from the bottom and make her way to the top. Her career becomes a big part of her identify in that she even neglects her first true love for it. We see that Rachel’s father instilled this childhood wound of valuing superiority in his mistreatment of the lower class.
The Best Friend: Monica Geller [Type 1]
Tumblr media
“And remember, if I’m harsh with you it’s only because you’re doing it wrong.”
Enneagram wing: 1w2 (Reformer along with a helper)
“I've got this controllable need to please people!”
Core Fear: Imbalance
Core Desire: Balance
Childhood wound: You must always be better than you are.
Monica’s defining trait is her need for order in her life and environment. She notices all inconsistencies and errors in not only her home organization but the state of her friends appearances and actions. Her OCD tendencies is a running gag in the series. On the contrary, Monica is very caring and nurturing. She is always there to lend a helping hand and advise her friends. Unlike the rest of her friends, Monica is very aware of where she wants to be and what she wants in life. She feels a sort of instability when her life doesn’t go according to the plan she envisions. She has a hard time adapting to change shown the mourning of Richard and her roommate Rachel. However, she’s not afraid to walk away from things that she knows won’t serve her in the long run even if its hard to do. She cannot relax unless she feels she is living up to the high standards she has set for herself and others. She does not hesitant to let others know where they fall short. Not only does she calls others out but tries to steer them in the direction to what they deserve. We see that Monica’s perfectionistic ways are rooted in her childhood wound from her mom’s constant criticism of her.
The Friend Who Loves Hard: Ross Geller [Type 5]
Tumblr media
“You’re means you are. Your means your!”
Enneagram wing: 5w6 (Investigator along with a loyalist)
“You know what the scariest part is? What if there's only one woman for everybody, you know?”
Core Fear: Incompetence
Core Desire: Proficiency
Childhood wound: You must acquire all the knowledge otherwise you are helpless and incapable.
Ross’s defining trait is his intellect. He often annoys his friends with constant talk of paleontological topics and his need to always be right. Ross not only values education and knowledge but also security. He fears being alone and often takes the leap of faith with romantic partners, however, his trust issues get in the way and result in self sabotage. He exposes his childhood wound in later seasons: his father made him feel incompetent due to his love of dinosaurs and playing with dinosaur toys as a child. Ross also struggles with feeling less of a man and this can be linked to his enjoyment of role playing as a woman as a kid and being ridiculed for it.
The Friend Who Opens Up: Chandler Bing [Type 6]
Tumblr media
“Until I was 25, I thought that that the only response to ‘I love you’ was “Oh, crap!’”
Enneagram wing: 6w7 (The loyalist along with an enthusiast)
“I’m full and yet I know if I stop eating this I’ll regret it.”
Core Fear: Isolation
Core Desire: Comfort
Childhood wound: You must succumb to your doubts because the world is not a safe place anyways.
Chandler’s defining trait is his pessimism. He uses sarcasm and humor as a defense mechanism for his deep insecurity and fear. Chandler longs for closeness and security in his relationships but often sabotages any chance at lasting love. He sticks with what is known and comfortable because it’s predictable (he constantly reconnects with Janice despite his dislike of her). He knows he is a lot to handle so he greatly values his friendships because they accept him for who he is and provide him support and validation. It makes sense that he ends up with Monica because their foundation being built on the already existing trust from friendship, thus providing him safety to trust and open up. Despite Chandler’s neurotic tendencies, he is a fun loving person. Joey, being a 7 himself brings this out in him.
The Friend With A Heart of Gold: Joey Tribbiani [Type 7]
Tumblr media
“I like it. What’s not to like? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Good.”
Enneagram wing: 7w8
“You can’t just give up! Is that what a dinosaur would do?”
Core Fear: Being unfulfilled
Core Desire: Contempt
Childhood wound: You must sow all your wild oats or you will be eternally unhappy.
Joey’s personality is defined by his enthusiastic yet easygoing nature. Joey’s main concern is to go out and have a good time. He wants to enjoy life however when things don’t go his way he never lets this get him down. He is quite dimwitted but often acts as the wise fool encouraging his friends and sticking up for them whenever needed. He never really commits to anything, bouncing from job to job and woman to woman. He is essentially always looking for the next big thing and he seems to never find it. Joey’s lack of commitment also demonstrates that he doesn’t really desire the security that comes with it. He subconsciously feels as if he is completely self-sufficient (8). His childhood wound is exposed when discussing his family line. He was the only boy out of 7 sisters and felt as if he had to set up and be the protector. We can assume that his parents having so many children to resulted in him lacking the attention and nurturing a child is supposed to have then.
The Intuitive Friend: Phoebe Buffay [Type 8]
Tumblr media
“If we were in prison, you guys would be like my bitches!”
Enneagram wing: 8w7/8w9 (Balanced: Challenger along with an enthusiast and peacemaker)
“That’s not running, let’s goooo!”
“I have to go before I put your head through a wall.”
Core Fear: Being harmed
Core Desire: Self-protection
Childhood wound: You must be totally independent because relying on others only results in harm.
Phoebe shows many traits of several enneagram types, for instance she shows hints of a 7 and 9 but her assertiveness and independent nature stands out from the rest. Her childhood wounding defines her personality traits, quirks, relationship dynamics, and her lifestyle. From a young age she had to learn how to defend herself and take care of herself due to the abandonment of her caregivers. She is the least connected to her friend group and for a long time lived on her own while the rest of the friends were each others roommates. She refrained from developing any long term relationships and we can first think that it’s because she doesn’t want that. It is later revealed that she never put much thought it which suggests that her independence is engrained into her being. It’s simply all she knew. However, Phoebe’s challenging nature is balanced out by her wings. She can stay positive and be fun loving (7). She develops a alias, Regina Phalange to get in and out of mischief. Her wing 7 is why she identifies with Joey so well. She also can play the role of the mediator to help her friends work out their issues (9). Phoebe also desires to be at peace with all, even her sister Ursula who is totally disinterested and uncaring. She desires world peace and advocates for animal cruelty and vegetarianism. Phoebe is probably the most emotionally healthy character despite having the roughest upbringing.

Note
Hi Christina, hope you're doing well and staying healthy! I've been seeing more stuff about the enneagram lately, and I saw you analyzed gen one a while back. I was curious if you could also do the main characters of gen 2 and 3-- thank you!!
I actually did this once before and then I lost  my entire file because my computer crashed.  I’m super interested to know what you all think!
Generation 2:
Freddie:  Freddie is a classic 9w1, “The Dreamer”.  He’s constantly trying to maintain peace and harmony in his life and avoid conflict, whether internal or interpersonal.  Some people accuse him of being boring, but it’s not true- he’s just willing to go along with other people to keep the peace.  He’s accepting, trusting, stable, and supportive, but he can also simplify problems and minimize upsetting things for his own peace of mind.  He has a lot of trouble with inertia (“to be or not to be?”) and caring enough about things to act on them.  At his best, he’s receptive, patient, accepting, and an emotional rock for the people around him.  But at his worst, he can be ineffectual and repressed and has a tendency towards tuning out reality for things that are more
pleasant.
Cook: 8w7, “The Maverick”.  Cook is self-confident, strong, and assertive.  He’s resourceful and decisive, but can also be egocentric and domineering over those around him.  Eights feel like they must control their environment and the people around them, which can lead to them being confrontational and intimidating.  Cook has a problem with his temper and allowing himself to be vulnerable.  He fears being harmed or controlled by others and seeks to be in control of his own life at all times and at all costs.  He wants to be self-reliant, to prove his strength, and to be important in his world.  At his worst, he’s destructive, ruthless, combative, hard-hearted, belligerent, and violent, engaging in criminal acts in an attempt to protect himself.  At his best, he’s a natural leader, authoritative and decisive, carrying others with his strength.
JJ: 6w5, “The Defender”.  6s are reliable, hard-working, and responsible. They’re loyal, committed, and security-oriented.  They fear being without support and guidance and they want security, to feel supported by others, to have certainty and reassurance, and to lessen their anxiety and insecurity. Like other 6s, JJ can be cautious and indecisive, but also defensive, evasive, and anxious.  At his worst, he becomes panicky, volatile, and self-disparaging, with feelings of inferiority.  He sees himself as defenseless and seeks out a stronger authority to resolve his problems (usually Cook, but sometimes Freddie). He can be reactive and defiant when pushed (when he goes to the brothel with Cook comes to mind).  He invests his time and energy into the things he believes will be safe and stable, and thrives on organization and structure. As he grows throughout the series, he becomes more self-affirming, trusting of himself at others, and “independent yet symbiotically interdependent and cooperative as an equal”.
Katie: Katie is a 3w2, “The Charmer”. She’s self-assured, attractive, charming, ambitious, competent, and energetic, but also status-conscious and driven for social achievement. She’s a social climber, interested in status and success. She can be overly concerned with h er image and what others think of her, and has problems with competitiveness, even when the people around her don’t realize they’re in a competition at all (her relationship with Effy is a good example of this).  As she grows in the series, we see her become self-accepting and authentic.  She becomes a role model who inspires others.  She’s driven by a desire to feel valuable and worthwhile, to be affirmed, to distinguish herself from others, to have attention, to be admired, and to impress others.  At her worst, she becomes vindictive, attempting to ruin other people’s happiness through devious and deceptive actions. She can be jealous of others and as a result of that insecurity, becomes a self-promoter with inflated notions about herself and her talents.  She can be highly concerned with how she’s perceived and morphs into what other people expect her to be, without thinking about what she wants.
Emily: Emily is a good example of a 2w1, “The Servant”.  She’s empathetic, sincere, friendly, and warm-hearted, but she can also be people-pleasing and does things for others in order to feel needed, even if they don’t want her help (Naomi’s political campaign).  She fears being unwanted and unloved by the people she cares most about (Naomi and Katie).  What she wants most is to be loved, to express her feelings for others, and to be needed and appreciated.  She’s at her best when she can help people achieve their goals.  At her worst, though, she believes that she must always put other people first if she wants to be loved herself (we see this particularly in her relationship with Katie), which makes her angry, bitter, and resentful towards others.  In this state, she can be manipulative and self-serving, taking the role of the victim and instilling guilt in others (we see this particularly after Sophia dies).
Naomi: Naomi is a 1w9, “The Idealist”.  Like Naomi, ones are conscientious, principled, and ethical, with a strong sense of right and wrong and a desire to improve the world.  However, she’s also afraid to make mistakes, and can slip into being critical and perfectionistic, even to the point of being hypocritical.  She has problems with resentment and impatience.  Naomi is driven by a fear that she’s defective and wrong (both in terms of her sexuality, but also in terms of her actions), and is motivated by being right, being consistent with her ideals, improving the world, to justify herself, and to be beyond criticism from others.
Effy: 4w5, “The Bohemian”.  I had a lot of trouble deciding between 4w5 or 2 for Effy.  It’s hard to tell what type she is because her mental illness impacts her personality in a very real way. Ultimately, I chose 4, even though I do think her core fear and desire line up more directly with 2- she’s afraid of being unwanted and unworthy of being loved, and her basic desire is to be loved for who she is.  Like 4s, Effy is self-aware, sensitive, and reserved.  She’s emotionally honest and personal, but can also be moody.  She withholds herself from others due to feeling vulnerable and defective, and has problems with melancholy, self-indulgence, and self-pity.  She wants to find herself for who she is outside of her mental illness, wants to withdraw to protect herself, wants to take care of her emotional needs before attending to anyone else’s (Pandora’s birthday party comes to mind), and to attract a rescuer (her relationship with Freddie is this in some ways). 4s often feel that they’re unlike other people, and because of that, nobody can understand them or love them adequately (“sometimes I think I was born backwards, come out me mum the wrong way”).  They see themselves as uniquely talented, possessing special gifts (Effy’s perceptiveness), and so they can be self-confident, but simultaneously they see themselves as uniquely disadvantaged and flawed.  While they feel different from other people and distance themselves, 4s don’t really want to be alone. They want to connect with someone who fully understands themselves and their feelings.  At her best, she can be sensitive and intuitive, gentle, tactful, emotionally honest, and compassionate towards others.  At her worst, she becomes hopeless and self-destructive, tormented by morbid thoughts.  She believes that other people are the problem, so she drives them away even when they’re trying to help her.
Pandora: This might be controversial to people who know the Enneagram, but I think that Pandora is a 5w4, “The Iconoclast”.  At first this seems unusual, since 5s are seen as intense and cerebral, words that we wouldn’t generally think of to describe Pandora. But 5s greatest fear is being useless, helpless, or incapable, sentiments that Pandora frequently echoes throughout the series.  Her basic desire is to possess knowledge, to understand the environment, and to have things figured out.  As we find out as the series progresses, she does have a curious, cerebral element to her, to the point where she goes to Harvard to study history.  Pandora is alert, insightful, and curious.  She’s inventive and innovative, but she can be eccentric.  At her worst, she disintegrates towards 7.  She becomes isolated from reality, eccentric and unstable,  and can be detached from the “real world”.  At her best, she’s open minded, perceptive, and excited by learning new things, particularly as she begins to build self-confidence.
Thomas: Thomas is a 1w2, “The Advocate”.  Like Naomi, he’s conscientious, principled, and ethical.  He strives to be honorable in everything he does. He feels a strong obligation to his family, even at his own expense, which is where the 2 wing comes in.  He’s well-organized, orderly, and fastidious, holds himself to high standards, and is always trying to improve his life and the lives of those around him.  He’s willing to sacrifice comfort and stability for the hope of a better life, both when he leaves the Congo and once he gets to Bristol.  At his worst, he preaches doing the right thing but does the opposite (sleeping with Andrea), and can be dogmatic and self-righteous.
Generation 3:
Mini: 3w4, “The Professional”.  Mini is afraid of failure, which she defines as being like her mother.  She throws herself into everything she does in order to succeed, regardless of what she has to do to get it.  Mini is attractive, charming, and ambitious, but she’s also overly concerned with her image and what other people think of her. Like Katie, she’s very competitive, even with people who don’t realize they’re in a competition (for Mini, this is Liv).  At her worst, she’s exploitative and opportunistic, willing to do “whatever it takes” to maintain her image of being superior to others.  She can be devious, deceptive, and untrustworthy, maliciously betraying and sabotaging people to get ahead of them.  She’s often jealous of others, even when she shouldn’t be, and can be vindictive in an attempt to ruin other people’s happiness.  At her best, though, she’s self-assured and competent.  She has a full heart, and she becomes gracious and motivated.
Liv: 6w7, “The Confidant”. Liv is committed and security oriented.  Given her tumultuous home situation, her family often relies on her to provide stability, and her friendships are similar.  She’s reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.  She’s an excellent “troubleshooter”, foreseeing problems and fostering cooperation between people.  However, she can also become defensive and anxious, running on stress while complaining about it. She can be both cautious and indecisive while also being reactive, defiant, and rebellious.  She fears that she’ll be without support and guidance and searches out the security and support that she doesn’t get from her family in others (particularly her friends). She’s loyal to others because she doesn’t want to be abandoned or without that support, and she seeks out people who are stronger than she is to provide a sense of stability (which is the foundation of her friendship with Mini).  To compensate for her insecurities, she can become sarcastic and belligerent, blaming other people for her problems.  At her best, she’s appealing, endearing, lovable, and affectionate, good at bonding with others and forming permanent relationships and alliances with others.
Franky: 4w5, “The Bohemian”.  Franky is self-aware, sensitive, and reserved.  She’s emotionally honest, creative, and personal, but can also be moody and self conscious. She sees herself as being defective (“when I was six, the teacher asked me to think of something beautiful. I said 9/11, I saw it on the TV in this care home with the sound on mute. The teacher told me how many people had died and all the other kids in the class cried and I knew then that I was… wrong. I guess that’s why my parents gave me up. Because they knew too. Right from the beginning.”).  She wants to find herself and her personal significance, to create and surround herself with beauty, to express herself and her individuality, and to protect her self-image.  She can struggle with melancholy and self-pity. She feels that she’s missing something in herself, but she has difficulty identifying exactly what that thing is- in truth, the thing she’s missing harkens back to the question on the whiteboard in series 5- “does choice define identity?”  Franky is unsure about aspects of her self-image and feels that she lacks a clear and stable identity, particularly in interpersonal situations, so throughout her series 5 episode she tries on different identities to see if she might be able to choose one that fits.  She has negative self-image and low self-esteem, and she has trouble letting go of feelings from the past.  Sometimes, she has become so attached to longing and disappointment that she’s unable to recognize the good things in her life (particularly true when it comes to her parents).  At her best, she’s profoundly creative, inspired, self-renewing, self-aware, introspective, and individualistic.
Grace: 9w1, “The Dreamer”.  Grace is a chameleon, a classic trait of 9s.  She is who she needs to be for everyone she’s around, and that can be disconcerting for a lot of people because it seems like she doesn’t have a “true” identity.  But 9s are the crown of the Enneagram- they encompass elements of all the other types- so when she’s being a chameleon, Grace is being true to herself.  She’s accepting, trusting, and provides stability to her more chaotic friends.  She’s creative, optimistic, and supportive, but she’s often too willing to go along with others to keep the peace (like the time she agrees to do cocaine to get out of an uncomfortable discussion), and she avoids conflict and tension even when they need to be had.  She’s afraid to be separated from her family and her friends, and she seeks out inner stability and peace of mind.  She often acts as the peacemaker between her friends and between friend groups.  At her worst, she’s repressed and disengaged, and she disappears into the world of fairytales to avoid confronting reality.
Rich: 4w3, “The Enthusiast”.  Rich’s deepest fear is that he has no significance in the world.  4s desire uniqueness and personal identity, and long to be authentically different from others. He’s sensitive, reserved, emotionally honest, and creative, but tends to be very moody and self conscious.  He withdraws from others due to fears of being vulnerable and defective, and feels disdainful and exempt from ordinary ways of living.  He has problems with melancholy, self-indulgence, and self-pity. Fours often feel that they’re missing something in themselves, but have difficulty figuring out what exactly that is.  To cope, Rich looks for himself through easily adoptable outward identities which he clings to (“being metal”).  He sees himself as fundamentally different from others and needs to express that in his physical presentation and interests as well as in his personality. He fears that no one can understand him or love him adequately, which is why his relationship with Grace really shakes up his life and his self-image.  Deep down, Rich is a romantic, looking for someone to come into his life and appreciate the secret self he’s hiding from the world.  4s typically have problems with negative self-image and low self esteem, which they compensate for by cultivating a fantasy self- an idealized image of themselves that’s built up in their imaginations (again, for Rich, that’s “metal Rich”).  However, they often fall short of becoming their idealized self (Rich doesn’t actually play metal music and he’s not actually part of that “scene”).  At his best, he’s self-aware, introspective, true to himself, and sensitive.  At his worst, he can be self-absorbed and introverted, moody and hypersensitive, shy and self-conscious.
Alo: 7w6, “The Entertainer”.  Alo’s a pretty classic Enneagram 7.  He’s extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous.  Playful, and high spirited, but also scattered and undisciplined.  He’s constantly seeking new and exciting experiences, even when the people around him aren’t interested, and often without doing his research first.  He struggles with impatience and impulsiveness.  He wants to maintain his freedom and happiness, to avoid missing out on experiences, to keep himself occupied, and to avoid pain.  At his worst, he’s running from himself and from aging (we see this a lot in his storyline with Poppy), acting out impulses rather than dealing with his frustrations.  At his best, he’s excitable and enthusiastic about everything.  He becomes joyful and appreciative of what he has.
Nick: 8 with equal wings, both “The Maverick” and “The Bear”.   Nick is a born leader, as we see when he captains his rugby team.  He’s self-confident, strong, and assertive, but also protective, resourceful, and decisive. He can be somewhat domineering, particularly early on in his relationship with Mini, and can at times be confrontational and intimidating.  As we can see in his confrontations with his father, he has problems with his temper and dislikes being controlled by others.  As he grows, he becomes magnanimous and a protector of others.  He’s self-assertive, self-confident, and strong, having learned to stand up for what he needs and wants.  He has a resourceful, “can do” attitude and can “make things happen”.
Matty: 4w5, “The Bohemian”. Like our other 4s, Matty is sensitive, reserved, moody, and self-conscious. He’s disdainful towards others and feels exempt from ordinary ways of living.  He has problems with melancholy, self-indulgence, and self-pity.  He feels like he is fundamentally defective when compared to his brother, and worries that he has no true purpose or significance.  He compensates for this by creating a fantasy self who is mysterious, brooding, and intellectual, but this image of himself falls apart somewhat when tested. While he feels different from others, he doesn’t really want to be alone, and we see him searching for his person who can connect with him and understand his feelings throughout generation 3.  At his best he’s individualistic and introspective, with a romantic, artistic approach to life, heightening reality through fantasy, passion, and imagination.   At his worst he’s self-inhibiting and angry with himself, depressed and alienated from others and ashamed.

Progressive Enneagram Test Results
The few followers that I have, might have noticed my enneagram results have been changing lately. I had for the longest time typed as a 4 and I so badly wanted to make that fit because I was unhealthy and related to some of what I learned about the type and being the scapegoat in my family but it never really felt right. So I had been going on a quest of sorts to figure out what my type is.
I had found this site that explained the RHETI had a 27% accuracy of highest score and being it was only 12 dollars on the enneagram institutes website I took it.
My highest score was a tie between Type 1 and 2 and my second highest scores were a tie between Types 4, 8, and 6. So I went back to the 9types site and saw that SEDIG test had a 58% accuracy of highest score. This test is found in the book The Essential Enneagram which was 8 dollars. So again, thought why not? I know that testing is highly debatable in this community but I have done so much reading on this subject I was still convinced I was a 4.
So I got the book off amazon, its COVID and I had time to kill. My top three results were 1, 4, and 8. 6 was my highest body score but it was still not as high as the scores I got as my top result.
Then I stumbled upon a FB group called Progressive Enneagram through a post on a subreddit I follow. The FB community is awesome and does long form testing for free if you join their community. The tests can last up to 3, 4, or 7 weeks depending on when you choose to test. This is helpful because peoples moods can influence their choices.
The tests are created using cited sources from Don Richard Riso, Russ Hudson, Susan Rhodes - their specific books and page number! yes page numbers! in case anyone wants to have further detail. The guy that runs the site posts helpful articles daily to help everyone understand what is being tested and what their results will mean. He even wrote a guide to understand how to respond to the questions when ranking your answer on a scale of 0-10. Its incredibly helpful and honestly the best thing I found out there. He gives you his own background story on how this test came to be and he is EXTREMELY patient with the people who do not get their tests in on time (not that I was one of them) but it is such a nice community.
BTW the summer test enrollment is currently up but has not had an official start date. He also lets you retest as much as you want as well.
Today I got my final results and I don’t think I need to retest because the final results are pretty consistent with my other two paid tests. But check out below for the level of detail he provides you with your results. It’s amazing. And no, I was not asked to write about this at all. I just am so amazed by this test and want to get the word out to people who like me struggle to type themselves. This has been the best experience I have gotten.
If you have any questions about it, let me know! I’ve been through it and am happy to help :)

ETA: I think its interesting my strong stack is what I normally get when I test. And the reason I didn’t think I was a one for so long is because I don’t really have an inner critic that much anymore. I used to but I spent a lot time after I went through a divorce not allowing myself to talk down to me anymore. And I think that's why it was so hard for me to see, also I’m a SX so I deflect a lot of the issues on to other people - which I still do. However, over quarantine I picked up a new hobby and its been interesting to hear my self talk change when I’m learning something new and how hard I am on myself. So something I need to be aware of and keep working on.

Hey Gianna, I was curious to know what made you change from believing you were a type 1 to a type 5 of the Enneagram! :)
Hi! to be honest, there’s sooo much I’m yet to unravel about enneagram - if anyone happens to know of great resources pls send them my way or if you yourself are a great resource, please message me! I initially thought I was a 1w2 based off of bare bones descriptions of the type. It was last year that I did an official enneagram test and had a consultation.I intitially had connected strongly to type 1s perfectionistic pursuits however I realised that I don’t necessarily reflect the expectations they are likely to set upon others. I’m not someone who is fussed by someone not setting up the dishwasher “the right way” or if someone moves something in my room to where it “isn’t supposed to be” - not to say that all type 1s react this way. I realised that my hyper-critical nature is moreso directed towards my idea of my own competency, I don’t step into a role fully or believe I am capable before I have all the knowledge necessary in order to do it justice. However, I don’t relate to being “emotionally detached” I guess that’s where the wing 4 comes in? Also discovering my instinctual variant (sx) gave a much more rounded understanding.
https://www.personalitycafe.com/head-triad-types-5-6-7/220953-sexual-fives-according-beatrice-chestnut.html
Even as I reflect back on the very core of why I started learning about MBTI, it was to make me feel safe and create an understanding of the people around me when I was feeling well and truly lonely and disconnected. The knowledge served to protect me.
HOWEVER, I haven’t taken the time to look into 2w1..
I might just film a video to unpack this further, once I’ve figured it all out! x

Gilmore Girls: Rory Gilmore - Type 1w9
Tumblr media
Rory is hardworking, kind and calm. Rory was always seen as a high achiever and everyone in Stars Hollow expected great things from her.
At her best, Rory becomes less perfectionistic and accepts things as they are. Rory is able to relax more under the influence of Lorelai. Rory is also generally a supportive and caring person, as we see in her relationship with Lorelai.
At her worst, Rory becomes disinterested in her goals and cuts off people who don’t agree with her (i.e. Lorelai). Rory also becomes quite impulsive and does things she normally wouldn’t. For example, she cheats with Dean and steals a yacht with Logan.
Rory was exceptionally hard to type as she changes a lot as the series progresses. In my opinion, Rory was a typical type 1 in the first 3 seasons of the series, as she was always very concerned with being a ‘good’ girl and doing the right thing. However, in the later seasons and especially the revival, Rory has seemed to abandon her morals and does things that are very questionable (don’t even get me started on her affair with Logan...). Nevertheless, I believe she is a 1 as even in her bad times, she seems to try and justify her actions and still believes she is a good person (which I think is something an unhealthy 1 would do). Additionally, in s6 when she is working at the DAR, she still wants to use her skills to make it better and more organised. She also seems very invested in making sure things go the right way, despite being in the lower levels of health.
Tumblr media
Rory was always the opposite of Lorelai, as she was very responsible and introverted. It seems to me that Rory never wanted to repeat Lorelai’s mistakes, so she studied very hard to get into the university of her dreams (I don’t care about the last four words, don’t @ me). She also seemed to never want to get in trouble or do anything wrong, and she didn’t really do anything bad in the first seasons.
In my opinion, Rory has a lot of guilt about things that she does and has a lot of doubt in her abilities. For example, when Rory goes to see Jess in New York and misses Lorelai’s graduation as she didn’t realise the bus wouldn’t get there, she feels horrible about it. By the time Lorelai gets home, Rory has already figured out her punishment, because she felt so bad about her mistake. She doubts her abilities because she doesn’t have a lot of confidence. For example, when Mitchum tells her she doesn’t have ‘it’ she takes it very personally and believes that she can’t be a journalist (despite having this dream since childhood). This could be because Rory doubts herself and may even have an inner critic.
Rory shows her wing 9 as she is more introverted and detached than a 1w2 is. She is also less likely to express her anger and more likely to repress her emotions altogether.
Tri-type: 1w9 - 5w6 - 2w1
Some quotes to describe Rory’s motivations
“No. I just take a book with me  everywhere. It’s just a habit."
“Who cares if I’m pretty if I fail my finals?"
“One of those moments when everything is so perfect and so wonderful that… you almost feel sad because nothing could ever be this good again.”
“I just don’t want to do or say anything else that’s going to be completely  moronic."
Rory: “I can't be late on my first day of school. Do you know what happens to people when they're late on their first day?” Lorelai: “It's shorter?” Rory: “For the rest of the year, they're labeled "The Late Girl."” Lorelai: “How dramatic”

ALEXANDER HILBERT 1w2 “I did what I had to do.”
Given the amount of harm Hilbert causes to fan favourite characters throughout Wolf 359, he might initially come across as the polar opposite of a One. Once it becomes clear, however, that he is in fact acting in accordance with a very strict personal moral code- one of utilitarianism taken to an uncommon extreme- it becomes clear that he is a perfect example of a One- controlled, perfectionist, and advocating change in hopes of making the world a better place overall.
Basic Desire: To be good, to have integrity, to be balanced “Satisfied? You think I care about pride? Humiliation? I will do whatever it takes. It doesn't matter what you have to give up. Who you have to hurt. How far you have to go.”
When Cutter first approaches Hilbert to work for Goddard, Hilbert scoffs at the idea of “defecting” from the Soviet Union. Cutter correctly observes that Hilbert has no love for his country, and is quick to assuage his fears.
“Your only real allegiance is to your work… and that would come with you.”
Hilbert’s moral code is based on a kind of extreme utilitarianism- the suffering of the few who are unfortunate enough to be subjected to his experiments will be outweighed by good successful results will bring. Looking at what does not provoke anger from Hilbert, is, in fact, very telling of the strength of this desire. Unlike an Eight, who would resent being controlled, or a Three, who would rail against criticism, Hilbert has no problems with being poorly treated, so long as he is able to work. He almost never responds to Lovelace’s taunts, nor try to save face in response to Kepler’s deliberately provocative criticism;
“I... Yes, Colonel. Thank you. (beat) Very good.”
Similarly, when he realises that Goddard intended to leave him to die on the Hephaestus Station- after downloading a neurological map that would allow them to continue his work, his reaction is as follows;
“...my work would have made it back to Earth. Everything I've done would... (beat) It would have made a difference. I find it to be perfectly equitable.”
This is where the extremity of Hilbert’s code of utilitarianism becomes apparent. The harm Hilbert causes in order to pursue a cure leads him to suffer as well;
“Do not mistake determination for enthusiasm, Captain. None of it was nice. None of it was easy.”
But ultimately, his own feelings on the matter, just like his dignity, matter not at all. He holds himself to a standard of complete selflessness;
“I told you. My work will save countless lives. No one gets to discount that. Not even me.”
In Hilbert’s eyes, repression of the guilt he feels and continuation in his work is the only moral path to take- especially in light of his one-hundred percent conviction that he can succeed. And so, he persists.
Basic Fear: Of being corrupt, evil, defective “All I'm saying is there is no room for affection in science. There shouldn't be!”
It is only when Kepler orders him to abandon his work- in which case, the suffering he caused will have been for nothing, that we see him, usually so self-controlled, “snap”;
“What?! No! This - This is progress! This is results! This is what I have spent decades trying to accomplish! My work!”
When he calms down- repressing his outburst in a way that is typical for the One, and clearly common practice for him- the following takes place in a conversation with Eiffel;
Hilbert takes a DEEP BREATH. He's never sounded more tired. “I am taking this the way I need to in order to survive.”
As morality is a difficult goal to actualise, Ones often take on “a calling,” as a mechanism by which to enact positive change. Hilbert’s work is a concrete reflection of his moral code, and so taking away his work is, in effect, a manifestation of his basic fear- to the extent that he has to emotionally shut down to “survive,” it.
Disintegration to Four: “Just pat little rabbits on the head and never think about death! It works so well! Everyone does just fine!”
Ones repress their anger, and are often seen by those around them as controlled and unyielding, while perceiving their own interior life as intense and passionate. It’s unfortunate, then, that they disintegrate to Fours, who struggle with feeling that their identity is being misinterpreted by outside sources. Hilbert becomes truly angry rarely- one example is in Lame-O Superhero Origin Story, when Eiffel is interrogating Hilbert about his motivations, but seems simultaneously unwilling to listen to his perspective, we get another of his “snaps”;
“Oh, sure! Sure! Big mean scientist should never do anything with risk! Even if could reap vast benefits and end large amount of suffering! Should not find way to understand cell development and degradation! Much too scary!”
Additionally, Fours have issues with morbidity and self-absorption. While Hilbert’s motivations arguably come from a place of altruism, they are also undeniably personal, as he reveals in the same rant;
“Just keep delaying anti-radiation medication, put the funding somewhere else! Who needs it?! Just have pets and American television! That made real difference for sister, can make up for everything!”
A legitimately well-intentioned desire to prevent others from going through what he suffered, intertwines with a deeply personal motivation, and culminates in the manifestation of unhealthy Four traits- Hilbert’s vulnerability in his situation forces himself to maintain distance from those around him, which turns to disdain and enables him to act as if exempt from the normal rules of society.
w2: “Tell that to the fingernails you are not supposed to have.”
Hilbert doesn’t seem to display any traits that would betray a Nine wing- Cutter, whose observations about the cast are generally achingly accurate, calls them both “in the business of changing the world,”- this does not describe a man who has chosen a path free of conflict and upheval. He does, however, display a lot of the problematic behaviours Twos can fall into- he is out of touch with his own needs and often manipulative and controlling. Despite the harmful nature of his work, Hilbert also seems to occasionally betray a caring side- for instance, he stays by Hui’s side as he passes away, and despite Eiffel’s suspicions, he does ultimate cure him in Cigarette Candy. Of course, it could be that Hilbert only does these things to protect his own research, but along that vein, it could be argued that sacrificing everything, even his own soul, for his research, is a truly altruistic act. Hilbert’s willingness to sacrifice in the relentless pursuit of the healing properties of the Decima could certainly be interpreted as an act of love for his family, or for humanity in general- his ultimate goal is to heal, not to harm.

type me
Based off the type me questionnaire; please continue to research your type on your own, learn about the functions at various places in the stack, and start working on improving your weak spots.
@freshbakedbeans: ENFJ
No Fi/Te in your focus or answers, good Ni intuition (hunches, specific goals, visionary focus).
@nemogravis: INTP
You weren’t specific enough and didn’t provide enough information for a full typing, but overall you seem like an intuitive with inferior Fe.
@happypalacebeargarden: INFP
An ENFP has less Fi / self-awareness and better Te than you show in your answers
@ladythrowaway: INFP
Your MBTI type is correct, but I’d say you’re a 4w3 not a 4w5 first (too explosive with your feelings; core 4w5 represses and intellectualizes them) with a 1 fix last. Lots of emphasis on being perfect
@anonymous: ENFP.
Your responses are Ne-dom, with a LOT of Te, which suggests it’s in strong development (are you in your 20’s by any chance?). You’re not a 9, though. I’d say a 7w6 2w? 1w2. You are too self-critical, angry with incompetence / when others waste your time, etc., to be a 9.
@helijas777: ESTP
An ENTP would not have your skills with the sensory world, nor your fixation on negative future events / feel a strong occasional pull toward the need to do something “great” (inferior Ni -- vague and unspecific greatness).
@lycoryllis: ENFJ
You show no Si/Ne and lots of Ni futuristic emphasis. You relate to ESFJ “also” because you’re both Fe-doms.
@Mads: ISFP
Lots and lots of emphasis on Fi in your answers (self-referencing, self-awareness). No indications of strong intuition, but getting stuck in your mind and lost in your head is tert-Ni based. An Enneagram 2 fix would account for your connection to other people’s emotions and caring what they think.
@accidentalevil: Your friend sounds INTJ.
Without getting in her head, I’d say she’s an INTJ Enneagram 3. She sounds Ni/Te, with a fixation on accomplishment and a strong work ethic. Her poor emotional awareness comes from her sp-3 core which focuses on achievement and is distant from emotional awareness. (If she really is that studious and driven to accomplish, she likely has The Taskmaster 136 tritype combination).
@Amelia: EXTP.
You really gave no strong indication of a sensing/perceiving axis (your answers were short), but TiFe explains your detachment from emotions / emptiness yet ability to easily articulate them and read other people. A few things seemed like low Si, so maybe ENTP.
@Mei: ENFP
Almost no Si, lots of Ne/Fi. Too emotionally intense / deep for an 8 or a 5 core, probably a 4.
@hai-silhouette: ISFP
You display inferior Te, not Ne and have Fi with a strong sensory awareness. What others see as Si in you (“this is what will happen”) is actually tert Ni.
@Silviah: ENFP
All your insecurities seem to stem from inferior Si (if you figure out a system for remembrance and focus sensory awareness, that may improve).
@Puttingitalloutthere: ESFP
You’re correct in feeling a connection to Se-dom/inferior Ni. I’d guess you’re a 729 or a 792 so/sp. Sentiment isn’t linked to Si, necessarily – my ESFP sister has a bad memory, so she relies on photographs to “remember” events and is very sentimental about things. (She is a 729, and I think the sentiment comes from her 9 fix; I suspect that’s where yours is coming from).
@galaxykat92-blog: ESFP
You didn’t provide enough information to type you accurately, but what you said is sensory-feeler focused. I’m guessing you’re a sx-variant of Enneagram 3w4, and that’s why you feel such an intense need to set and reach goals / find it hard to relax. It would also explain why you instantly notice sexual chemistry and/or chemistry between others.
@sabsterjagster: ENFP
Inferior Si is what’s causing you anxiety about job performance / forgetting things / suddenly feeling you need to start taking care of your body, diet, exercise, stop relying on others to do things for you. Frustration with not achieving things “fast enough” is your tert Te causing Fi problems. I do see 3w4 in your stacking, but your intense anxiety / second-guessing / need to have people “okay” with you and frankness about your fears makes me think you’re a 6w? first. (3-cores tend to deny their weaknesses, you are open with yours.)
@fkef: INTJ
There’s really no reason for you to doubt your type, it’s correct.
@Red: INFP
You included strong Fi in every answer you gave; vague generalizing and randomness / sometimes obsessed with details is NeSi. And lots of … sharp-tongued inferior Te. Not sure about your Enneagram, but you probably have a 1 fix somewhere (perfectionist traits, some tendencies toward strong judgments on incompetence). Over thinking and over-complicating things could be 6.
@jennifairyxx: ISFJ
You devalue your hunches too much to be a core Ni (and have a low Ne tendency to think about different potential futures / change your mind / hesitant about firm decisions), and have good Fe. Given your reactions to conflict, you seem like a core Enneagram 9. You might also have a 6 in your tritype. I’d say your fantasizing is Si/Ne based (ISFJs-9s are very prone to it).
@Frankie: ISTP
Your thought process comes across as Ti/Ni based (trust in hunches, but Se being more ‘go with the flow’ and more focused on proof); and yes, inferior Fe.
@Kaylee: ENFJ
A lot of your answers sounded Fi, but an ESFP lacks the intense foresight and structured planning you have; you’re an obvious high feeler, and I think your tert-Se often pulls you away from your planned-out future, so I’m assuming you have a more independent tritype combination to compensate for the “fake Fi” (I see some 7, and am guessing a 1 in there somewhere).
@puhpallurah: INFP
I see a lot of strong Fi and tert-Si development, with a general optimism toward the future that goes with aux-Ne. Your Si is too good for ENFP. There’s no Fe or Ni in your answers.
- ENFP Mod w/help from a co-mod
