Lol, don't ever worry about long answers on my account. I love the chance to talk about fun crossovers and AUs, and that one definitely gave me some great ideas to mull over to make my shift go faster. For example: Luke running interference whenever Dean and Han get into it by asking Dean something about Baby (what is Baby here?) This frequently leads to the two of them indulging their greasemonkey sides on someone's ship while Din and Cas look on having the weirdest convo ever that consists mostly of one word comments and grunts because they're understandably distracted by the view. (Some of this may be inspired by a video I saw about putting a Ferrari motor in a tractor, and my first thought was "that is so Luke and Anakin coded." XD )

ohmygod yes luke would be doing his damn best to try and keep dean and han from getting into a full on fistfight every other day because that is the last thing the rebellion needs (sam, the little shit, would just be watching from the sidelines, just glad it’s someone else arguing with his brother for a change) and so their friendship would totally start as just this odd kind of thing where luke just pops up from nowhere and asks dean about his opinion on different engine models or for his help finding the right part to fix this super sudden malfunction that x-wing has been having, as you delightfully mentioned, talking to him about Baby

now, this ask promptly sent me down a rabbit hole trying to find what ship i think dean would fly in a star wars au and after an evening of scouring different reddit threads, wookieepedia pages and a random book from the 90’s - i settled on Baby taking the form of a Kazellis-class light freighter !!! was i initially drawn to this ship because of the Impala’s KAZ license plate? yes, but the ship itself turned out to be perfect (imo) for the boys - it’s a little flashy and isn’t all that inconspicuous, but it’s also gorgeous and fast as all hell with decent shielding and weapons range that can (and absolutely would be by dean) modified quite easily! there’s not a super lot of info on the model, what with it being a legends ship and all, but i did want to keep with the theme of rebels flying light freighters (han and the Falcon and hera with Ghost) and from what we do know it is a rare make (do NOT ask me how john would have gotten one in this universe i have no idea /j lol) which i think fits with Baby’s vibe as well !!! (the Kazellis Corporation that produced the ship was shut down by the empire after making only a few hundred according to the web pages i found, however there isn’t really any more information on the company than that, so we can just assume that they were around for a while (?) pre-empire and possibly even during the clone wars era and if so (and for the sake of this au we shall) we can place the ship in a timeline where john gets one (somehow) races around the galaxy raising dean and sam, and passes it along to dean in time for he and sammy to join up with the rebels) (also completely unimportant but the ion drive system being a bit more advanced on the Kazellis-class than other models is also something that drew me to it cause it made me think about cas and how ion drives/rockets have this blue-glow to them that reminds me a bit of angelic grace in spn, and so perhaps then in this star wars universe cas would maybe perceive the force as this glowing blue light that rests just outside his feild of view, hovering around him, and whenever he sees the flare of ion engines it makes him feel a little closer to it and so whenever he sees the glow of Baby’s extra ion lights it just settles him in a way other ships don’t and that fact drives dean absolutely wild with this deep satisfaction and he and cas spend a lot of time pressed together just looking out the ships windows and watching the engines as they fly)

anyways, all that to say Baby is a beautiful ship and is why dean and han fight about who has a better ship almost constantly (cause while han keeps the Falcon grubby to keep imps off their tale, dean keeps Baby spotless so he and sam can run infiltration and espionage missions) but it is also why dean and luke get along so well because they end up talking shop more days than not (i love the idea of them just finding comfort in finally meeting someone else who loves the mechanics of ships just as much as the flying) and with Baby being such a rare model luke takes every chance he gets to pick deans brain about her different quirks and modifications and dean get so excited to show him every time and ultimately it always ends with them guts-deep in Baby’s engine or tuning up lukes x-wing, covered in grease and chatting away like two peas in a pod

i do like the idea of din and cas meeting at some point as well and both just watching their partners jargon at each other with extreme fondness but it also did just make me think about how hilarious their first meeting would be because cas would absolutely just walk up to din ‘what is a star wars’ djarin and say something like “the lack of sensitivity you have towards to the living force is quite astounding given the depth of intimacy in your relationship with skywalker” completely unprompted and din would like “huh?” and the cas would just nod and be like “dean and i share quite a profound bond due to our connection in the force” and then they’d just stand in silence for however long until luke or dean break away from whatever they were doing and drag them off, but yeah din and cas end up having having this strange sort-of-friendship arrangement where they hang out and watch luke and dean work and cas will occasionally talk about force stuff that din doesn’t really understand (cause cas and luke interpret the force very differently) or they’ll sit down and compare notes on different weapons and fighting styles that they both know and maybe spar a little for fun

🌹What flower do you associate with s/i? if they were a field of flowers, what flowers would they be?

Imagine a moonlit night and a feild of white trumpet shaped flowers, moonflowers... Aki doesn't like flowers all that much, and the colour white is a sore spot for her... But a flower that only blooms at night would suit her so well.

🌲Do you have a favorite place to go with s/i? why Is it your favorite?

Me and Aki don't go out much... But she took me skiing in the mountains this one time. She rented a cabin out for us and it was nice... Just us and nobody else. I don't like people so I appreciated the isolation.

🐦If you and s/i were birds, what kind of birds do you think you would be?

I'd be one if the corvids... Maybe a crow or a rook, as for Aki... I'd make her a black hawk-eagel... She's just so cool...

🌙 Do you consider yourself a night owl? how about s/i?

I like to go to sleep at my usual time, Aki however tends to stay up late working... Sometimes- I don't like it when she takes her work home. She comes to bed pretty late.

🎀 Do you have a favorite outfit that s/i wears? what does it look like? do you ever help them pick out outfits?

Hehe... She looks pretty sexy in her work clothes, it's a simple office worker uniform, she leaves home all prim and proper and then by the time she comes home she's all disheveled and ruffled up- but I guess she also looks good in her swimsuit, I've never focused on the details of it as there was something for more important to look at... I don't have a good sense of fashion so I only help her pick out clothes when she asks me for an opinion...

🥬What's a meal, snack, or drink you introduced to s/i that they like? whats one that they introduced to you?

Everyone has had onigiri before, Aki says she specifically really likes mine because, well... They are kitty shaped... It warms my heart that she liked them so much. I got to try some fancy tuna paste and fish roe sushi thanks to her, it was for an iffuce party she took me to, the fact that it was a company event made it hell, at least the food was pretty good...

💄 What does a morning with you and s/i look like? do you have a routine, anything you two do together to get ready?

We have a strict routine that we follow on the weekdays, we get up at the same time and while Aki gets ready for work I make her a cup of coffee and pack her lunch for work, plus I feed her cat... Well... He's our cat now, I'd like to think... If I was in the room with her as she got dressed we wouldn't leave for a while.

🎧 Is there any music that s/i listens to that youve started to like?

I... Well... Aki really likes this alt j-rock band called "Graveyard Bunny", she says her friend from highschool is the lead vocalist and guitarist. I just wonder why I haven't heard heard of them before.

☀️ How do you feel about the summertime?

We love the summer, I get to find a nice sun spot to take a nap with Reginald on and Aki gets to take time off work! Summertime is the best... Then we go to the beach together and... There she goes again with that swimsuit.

The snail scourge continues. I just went and found another half dozen in the frog tank. I cannot wait to get the pretzel container out of the apartment though because the water stinks when you open it. Terrible. I got the new tank set up at camp though!! So progress is being made.

Today was actually a really good day. I felt productive. I had fun. It was a lot but like after yesterday, it was really what I needed.

We got home last night right before 10. I let my parents know we were home safe. And got ready for bed.

I slept alright. I had very very intense dreams. Where me and James had a toddler named Sofia and she had long curly blonde hair. There was also portals and house parties? It was a lot. My dreams can be so intense.

I also just felt really sore this morning. I stretched for a minute. But soon was up and getting ready.

I love this dress. It is just so pretty. I think it looks great with and without a belt. Such a good find.

James made me an omelet and walked out with me. I like when we leave for work at the same time. It was shockingly warm already. And it would only get hotter. It was a rough day to be working outside.

But honestly even when I'm uncomfortable at camp with the heat it's different when you're under the trees.

I had a good drive out to camp. And got right up to the art building. I did not forget my key this time! I am going to leave them on my lunch totebag so hopefully I won't forget it again.

I was super excited when I got up there and there were 4 deer in the picnic grove!!! I tried to get a picture but it may be hard to see them. It was just a little magical.

I was super productive during that first hour before everyone else came. I would eat my omelet James made for me. I swept the art building. I went over to the pueblo and moved all the beds out of the space so I can use it for my pinch pot making program.

I was feeling a little strong so I went back to the art building to get my wagon and then went to the feild to start moving the astro turf. I was able to get all the small pieces and a few medium sizes. But man its heavy! And dusty. I got super dusty and sweaty. But I was proud of myself for the work.

I went over to the museum to use the bathroom and wipe off some of the dirt. It was about 9 and I decided I was to hot and needed a break.

I went down to the office and sat on the porch and read my book for a bit. Ayça (pronounced sort of like eye-sha-j), my Turkish coworker from the summer is still staying and working at camp so she stopped by to say hi. She asked if I would like coffee. I appreciated her asking even if I don't drink coffee. I told her I was alright and went back to my book.

I like her a lot. She is very funny. Later she was working on some labeling and she tried to ask me if she was writing something correctly. "a-mince" I was like. I am not sure what you are trying to write. We went back and forth and eventually she went to Alexi and it turns out she meant "A. Misc"! Which made us both laugh. I understand how she got there but it was very silly that I couldn't figure it out.

I would sit on the porch and read for a half hour. I only made it through the forward but that was really good. I already learned a lot and I feel like I have a lot of context for what is going to be a pretty dark book. Swastika night. It's dark. The forward made an interesting point about how 1984 ended with despair but this one ends with something almost like hope. But it's in a totally hopeless world and situation. The hope is in the growth I guess. Well see if I agree when I get to the end.

The office people still were not in. So I went up to the art building to do a few things before I went back down.

When I got back to the office everyone was in and I filled them in on what I accomplished. And we got into emails. I am in charge of some email stuff now. Which made me nervous but I think after I read a few of my responses outloud to Heather and she said they were good I feel slightly more confident.

I also realized I had 16,000 emails in my inbox. So I would start deleting those. And eventually was able to get rid of 14,000 of them. I also started compressing my photos since I get free photo storage but they have to be not the super hd ones. So my years and years and years of photos won't take up all my space anymore.

I did a lot of printing. I printed my lessons

My maps. My journals. I folded all the journals as well. And Elizabeth ordered all my supplies because surprise I have my first feildtrip next Wednesday. So not everything will be here on time but it will be fine. I'll figure out a plan. Tomorrow I am going to get as many materials together as I can.

It was very funny convincing Elizabeth and Alexi that I needed a $40 wooden spoon. Which like abstensively is very silly but this is a museum quality wooden spoon that is a miniature of a indigenous tool. So while it was silly I did win in the end. And Heather was on my side. So I got everything I asked for. And jokingly said I never ask for anything!! Which is also abstensively not true. But was very funny to say.

I didn't take a real lunch break. I took two half hour reading breaks. I ate my snacks while I was emailing and typing up lists. And I would be bouncing between the art building and the office. I would start putting my clipboards together for my station leaders. I also transcribed my supply lists so I can have them on each clipboard. And I will put them on my boxes to replace the handwritten ones that weren't totally correct. I was making great progress.

I would talk to Alexi for a bit. And she gave me the nature key and I headed down to start setting up the tank. I found the water filter I left there and some rocks for the bottom. And got that filled and running. I cannot wait to get the snails in there tomorrow. I will probably also add some moss but I am not sure if we have any or I'll have to find or buy it. Regardless I was having fun getting it ready and seeing the other animals.

I would go back to the office to read and once I finished that chapter I would go help Ayça out tables and chairs away before I went to the council ring to organize the shed.

Which was so gross and hot. Lots of mouse leavings. Also there was no broom. But at least I got a lot of stuff together and organized. Not my best work but I am still pleased and it will be a lot easier to work back there. Sometimes I would like to find better containers for the colored sand but I was already gross and did not want to do that yet.

I was all of a sudden super woozy. I didn't bring water down with me and I hadn't eaten lunch and I was not doing great all of a sudden. I had been enjoying my podcast and laughing a lot but all at once I was like. I got to get inside.

I put everything back in the shed and took the one box of material I collected (mostly beads and feathers) back to arts and crafts.

I grabbed a box of cookies from my car and are those whole I walked back to the office. Where I drank a bunch of water and gas cheez-its.

It was almost the end of the day. I talked through tomorrow with Heather and checked on a few things. Alexi gave me a key for the office. I was pretty excited. I let them know I would get the snails there tomorrow. And then I was off. One more stop at arts and crafts to make sure what I needed in the morning would be there. And then I left.

I went to the craft store to buy yarn and look at the Halloween stuff. James told me they were making stuffed shells for dinner. Excellent. The yarn I get was buy one get one 50% off. Love a deal.

Getting home was slightly annoying because people can't drive or merge and I don't get it. But I got home before 5 and was feeling good.

I was happy to see James. They seemed a little sad but I was just happy to be with my husband. They had a tough ride home with how horribly hot it was. We put the AC on and tried to make a cooler space for us.

I took a shower. And got all the actual visual dirt off my self. Gross. And changed into something cool.

Our handfasting cord box fall off the wall so I fixed that with James's assistance. And they would make stuffed shells. I mostly just stayed in bed in the AC for the rest of the evening.

James had a video call with their cousins. Where some chats about where we are spending the holidays were had. I hope it's Massachusetts. I think that will be really nice and picturesque. I also showed them my snail jar. Which smells horrible but I had to open it to add more snails I found in the frog tank. But I also dumped half of the water to hopefully help with the smell.

Tomorrow I will move them to their new home. But for now I would like to sleep. It's going to be another long day outside. I'm going to do some painting. But it may rain in the afternoon so I have to do it quick! Fingers crossed it goes well.
