Imagining that you walk into the woods in your local town, gently taking a stroll until when you take a small break you realise you weren’t leaning against a tree…it was a 10ft tall werewolf, and seemingly it was in heat as you could tell just by looking down.
It needs a womb to release in and it seems it’s chosen you…
Contents: Cumflation, Lactation, impregnation
"Oh boy, howdy -" is the stupid thing that ends up tumbling from my mouth. Because damn that's a big boy with a ridged rod between his legs. His heavy, audibly sloshing balls complement his whole horny monster look, fantastically.
The Wolfman huffs, the open air fogging from how hot his breath is. I couldn't really make out any pupils in the yellow of his eyes but his snout tilts down to where I am. A bit of drool is slinging down his jaws onto his own neck. He opens his mouth and i'm half expecting to be torn to shreads only for a deep guttural voice to ring out and say one thing.
"Help."
"Huh?" Is the response I come up with because, hello??? My eyes jolt back down to the throbbing monster cock already so pent up its leaking pre in sticky globs onto the ground with every pulse. And it clicks what he seems to be at least trying to ask for. I tilt my head up at the Wolfman. "Uh, do you wanna fuck me?"
His ears perk up, and the drool starts reaching his chest. An impaitent panting noise fills the air.
Without a second thought, I grin. "Yeah, that's fine!" I hooked my hands under my pants and boxer briefs and pulled them down. "I've been horny all day. Fuck me good alright?" He all but lundged for me when I said  that. His clawed hands coming down and grabbed my sides. Hoisting me into the air dispite My yelp of surpise.
I feel the tip of his cock prod at my holes entrance. Looking down makes me swallow because his shaft is twice as large as a baseball bat. But I don't have any time to think further because he's already pushing it into me.
His cock manages to gape my hole open at a third of the way down his length on the first go. A grunt escaping me when I feel how much he's inside of me already.
A deep inhale from him is the only warning I get before an explosion of warmth fills me. "Fuck-" i grit my teeth when he immediately decided to cum on entry. It's a oozing sound when cum starts spilling out to paint the forest floor.
I pant and as soon as the sensation stops the hands on my sides pull me up and drop me back down on his monsterily thick cock. Turns out monster cum makes a great lubricant for getting a cock even deeper. A perverted squelch sound now pairs with each messy thrust.
I'm breathy, and look down to find out I'm almost halfway down his length when his cock tip nudges deep at my insides. Assuming he hit my cervix, made me huff. But surpisingly no pain had accompanied the prod just a nagging pleasure.
The Wolfman growled, his hands pulling me off his cock till only the tip was at my entrance again. All before slamming home into my hole. I yelled feeling the cock ram through my poor cervix and barrel into the wall of my womb. Why did that feel good? Holy shit? A churning sound hit my ears, and I looked down to see his heavy balls clentching.
Thick cum splattered into my waiting womb, with a purpose. Monster sperm violating and ready to impregnate any egg they could possibly hunt down. "Fuck fuck-" my stomach surged outwards this time. My cervix apparently not wanting to let the monsters cum let down. I looked four months pregnant with just cum.
With a huff, he fucked me back down his cock once more. Fuck, he was so big and there was so little room for my hole to accommodate, I could feel every pulsating vein decorating his shaft. He fucked me up and down, up and down. My belly sloshed every time me pulled me up and down.
I looked down once more to find I was nearly down to base but knew I wouldn't be taking his knot, unfortunately. His cock is so massive that even with his length fucking my cervix wide and his tip slamming into the wall of my womb his knot wasn't even reaching my ass.
He suddenly threw his head back and howled, cutting my thoughts short.
He stilted once more, his cock pressed against my womb. I felt his cock pulsating as each splash of cum shooting into my waiting womb. I groaned and watched my stomach grow further to accommodate my heavy womb. By the time he stopped coming I looked eight months pregnant.
My chest was wet, making my look down to see myself lactating through my shirt. I chuckled high off of monster cock and cum.
He got me pregnant. Fuck my body knew it was inevitable.
I could only groan when he fucked my down his length once more.
The joy of being a living condom for a monster in heat.

Northern Lights
.
I heard a voice that cried, “Balder the Beautiful is dead, is dead!”
.
Who knows what to call the lonely exhilaration of gazing out into a bright Northern sky? Who can name it?
Jill could.
It was the same feeling that came to her at the teetering edge of a cliff at the end of the world. The same feeling as when she said her goodbyes to Puddleglum and Scrubb before they freed the prince. It was the same feeling that engulfed her now, sitting in the professor’s library with a volume of poetry before her.
.
The wild northern wastes were well named: utterly wild, perfectly desolate, and terribly Northern.
It was lonely there and often cold, but the sky was an endless whorl of gales and gray clouds. The stones were indigo under the pale winter sunlight, and at sunset they glowed a soft gold, as though lit from within. The gorges and moors lay before her, and Jill loved them for their vastness and their distance. Little grew in that country, but that which did was full of vigor. The grass was short and coarse. Every tree was victorious.
On a still, deep breathing winter night, Jill lay on her back beneath a covering sky. It seemed beautiful to her, rich and strong and glorious. Her eyes drank in the breadth of it until her tears began to blind her. Yet even then, she still couldn’t look away.
She felt bigger here in the wastes, like the landscape. Stronger, wider. The further she walked, the more she felt herself stretch out. One of these days, maybe, she would catch hold of herself at the edge and tug, and Jill Pole would open up clear as the Northern sky.
.
And through the misty air passed the mournful cry of sunward sailing cranes.
.
The thing that surprised Jill most about the battle with the serpent was this: there wasn’t any yelling. Always, it seemed, whenever she read stories about people fighting with swords, the combatants would let loose some guttural yell before their blows fell. They would scream and writhe in pain as they died. They would shout instructions to their fellows, “Look out!” or “Hit him there!” But the whole affair with the serpent passed with very little noise.
The poison-green coil constricted around the prince; he raised his arms and got clear, struck the serpent hard, and then Scrubb and Puddleglum dispatched the creature with heavy, hacking blows. The monster died writhing, but not screaming. And then it was over.
The thing that surprised Jill most about the moments before battle was, of course, the noise. She could hear her own heartbeat in her ears. She couldn’t stop listening to her own breathing. Every footstep rang out like a gong, and any words exchanged rang with a kind of finality that made them sound louder than anything.
“You are of high courage,” Rilian told her when it was over.
Yet the thing in Jill’s chest just then didn’t feel like courage. It was a deep breath, a plunge, and a release. It was loud and quiet all at once, till she was standing, blinking in the night air as snowballs whizzed round her, and maybe that was something like courage after all.
.
And now, there was a stirring in her chest as she reread the words on the page. Sing no more / O ye bards of the North / Of Vikings and of Jarls! / Of the days of the Eld / preserve the freedom only / nor the deeds of blood!
She thought of grief. Of freedom.
The lonely ache in her belly grew stronger. She felt herself uplifted into the huge regions of sky that were just beyond those cliffs, weightless as the breath beneath her buoyed her up, further, further…
.
When she saw Caspian up close, Jill thought that he looked like the sort of person who was meant to live in a castle. A silly thought, perhaps, since she knew he was a king– only she wasn’t thinking of Cair Paravel. No, Jill was picturing the ruins of an old British castle she’d visited once on holiday. She still remembered how the stonework had loomed over her, all towering arches and crumbling walls. That was where Caspian seemed to belong. He had an air of ancient tragedy about him.
When Rilian disappeared, all things had wept but one. The serpent coiled beneath the earth and flicked its forked tongue, spewing poison.
Now, the king half rose to bless his son. He whispered a few words as he caressed Rilian’s cheek, words meant only for those beloved ears. Jill saw Caspian’s lips move and wondered what a man like that could possibly say, when time ran so short.
.
They laid him in his ship, with horse and harness, as on a funeral pyre. Odin placed a ring upon his finger, and whispered in his ear.
.
Jill furtively took Myths of the Northmen and held it up to the professor with a question in her eyes. She was still shy around him and Miss Plummer, though she wished she wasn’t.
“Would you like to take that with you?”
“...Please.”
.
It takes a certain kind of person to be exhilarated by the heights. You’ve got to love vastness more than you fear falling.
.
They walked to the train station with an autumn wind blowing hard, and though Jill couldn’t fathom why, she turned and saw Lucy grinning, fierce and joyful– grinning and reaching a hand out towards her friend.
Jill reached back and grabbed it. “What will you do, once we’re back in Narnia?” she asked.
The wind blew harder. The feeling of anticipation grew and grew, until it felt so big that she couldn’t dream of containing it. And there was Lucy, holding Jill’s hand and laughing like it was easy.
.
Preserve the freedom only, not the deeds of blood!
.
The second time Jill went to Narnia, she found herself not at its edge, but at its end.
The thing about the Norse apocalypse is: it feels believable. It doesn’t reach beyond earth’s horizon to pull down hope beyond hope. It’s only the kind of courage that hopeless humans have: you are going to die, so you might as well die bravely.
They found the last king of Narnia bound to a tree. His eyes were faintly red from crying, and his wrists and ankles red from the coarseness of his fetters.
In the Norse myths, Loki broke free of his fetters at the end of the world. He escaped to the helm of a ship made from the fingernails of the dead.
The last king of Narnia fell forward onto the ground when Eustace cut his bonds. Jill crouched down beside him and watched as he rubbed feeling back into his legs. He wasn’t so much older than her, she thought. Jill was sixteen years old; the last king of Narnia could not be older than twenty-two.
In the myths, the gods were ancient, hewn from the bodies of giants old as the earth.
Jill put out a hand and helped the last king of Narnia to his feet. Not for the last time, she shivered. Something deep inside her (deeper than her chest, than her heart, than the marrow of her bones, deep as her soul, deeper) was singing an elegy and she didn’t know why, or how, or where it had come from. The king clutching her hand, who could have been her older brother, would have no heir.
Yet when he asked, “Will you come with me?” Jill could only smile.
“Of course,” she said. “It’s you we’ve come to help.”
.
And the voice forever cried, "Balder the Beautiful is dead, is dead!"
.
“This really is Narnia at last,” murmured Jill. The springtime wood had little in common with the wintry lands she had traveled the last time she was here– but it awakened the same feelings of Northernness in her chest.
Their party may as well have been the only people in the world, for how isolated their little wooden path seemed. Yet it wasn’t lonely, really, cocooned in all that green with the wind in the leaves and the primroses nodding and blue of the sky peeking through above.
Jewel told stories about what ordinary life was like when there was peace here. As he spoke, Jill could almost hear the trees' voices speaking out of the living past, whispering, stay, stay. She was caught up to a great height, looking down across a rich, lovely plain full of woods and waters and cornfields, which spread away and away till it got thin and misty from distance.
“Oh Jewel–” Jill said with a dreamy sigh, “wouldn’t it be lovely if Narnia just went on and on– like what you say it has been?”
She needn’t be a queen, as Susan and Lucy had been, but Jill would’ve liked to stay. She would've liked it all to stay, if it could. She might have been a woodmaid in a place like this: with the turn of the seasons, the swaying trees, swords into plowshares. Oh, if only she could stay!
Ahead, the last king of Narnia was softly singing a marching song. Jill tilted her head back and let warm shafts of sun caress her face.
.
I saw the pallid corpse of the dead sun borne through the Northern sky.
.
“So,” said the last king of Narnia, “Narnia is no more.”
He tried to send them back. Jill shook her head. It was very loud and very quiet. “No, no, no, we won’t. I don’t care what you say. We’re going to stick by you whatever happens, aren’t we Eustace?”
They couldn’t go back anyway. Neither would they flee, not south across the mountains nor North into the great wide wastes. No, they would stay. They slept in a holly grove on the edge of ruin, waiting for the bonfires to light.
Jill slept fitfully, but in between she dreamed. She was high up in the air, buffeted by clouds and pierced by shafts of silver sunlight.
.
They all died, in the myths. Jill knew that. It seemed beautiful and brave when she read it in her book, tucked away safe in the Professor’s library. It was terrifying now– and yet it was beautiful and brave still.
The dogs came bounding up, every one of them, running up to the king and his men with their tails wagging. One of them leapt at Jill and licked her face, tongue roughly lapping up the sweat and tears that had dried on her cheeks.
“Show us how to help, show us how, how, how!” the dogs were barking, almost ebullient in their enthusiasm. Jill bit back a sob. How lovely, she thought. How terribly beautiful. How dreadfully brave.
.
So perish the old Gods!
.
The white rock gleamed like a moon in the darkness when Jill finally reached it. She ran back to it alone, her hands shaking, while her friends stayed forward with their gleaming swords and Jewel’s indigo horn.
The while rock gleamed like the moon. Jill’s first shot flew wide and landed in the soft grass. But she had another arrow on her string the next instant. It was speed that mattered, not aim. Speed, and turning aside when she cried, so as not to drip tears on her bowstring.
The white rock gleamed. In the myths, a wolf devoured the moon. Peter’s wolf, slain many thousand years ago in this world, opened his jaw wide and darkness fell over everything.
Her next arrow found its mark. After that, she lost track. She pulled, and she prayed that her hands kept still another minute.
The unique thing–maybe the appealing thing–about the Norse myths, was that they told men to serve gods who were admittedly fighting with their backs to the wall and would certainly be defeated in the end. Jill let loose another arrow, felt the white rock at her back, and she knew that the clawing fear–beauty–bravery deep in her gut was the same feeling that she felt on the heights. The same feeling, but a different face. You’ve got to love vastness more than you fear falling.
.
“I feel in my bones,” said Poggin, “that we shall all, one by one, pass through that dark door before morning. I can think of a hundred deaths that I would rather have died.”
“It is indeed a grim door,” said Tirian. “It is more like a mouth.”
“Oh, can’t we do anything to stop it,” said Jill. Better to be dashed to the ground than it was to be devoured.
“Nay, fair friend,” said Jewel. “It may be for us the door to Aslan’s country and we sup at his table tonight.”
A hand tangled itself in her hair and started to pull. Jill braced herself hard, for a moment, until her strength gave out. She was standing on the edge of a high, Northern cliff. She took another step, and fell.
.
Perhaps when the moment comes, our bite will prove better than our howls. If not, we shall have to confess that two millennia of Christianity have not yet brought us to the level of the Stoics and Vikings. For the worst (according to the flesh) that a Christian need face is to die in Christ and rise in Christ; some were content to die, and not to rise, with Father Odin.
.
The world inside the stable was beautiful. It made Jill’s chest ache in all the loveliest ways.
.
Build it again, O ye bards, fairer than before!

Hybrid Creation Logs
RR-001 and SE-002
(AN: Hello friends! I’m getting back into writing stuff and while rereading older stories (and fixing a lot of stuff like how I used to write Henrik’s dialogue, yikes!) I realized I absolutely hated how little info I gave in the original creation story of how the boys were made and met- they didn’t even have their designation numbers back then!! So!! It’s revamp time!! Starting with Chase and Jack and - a bit more from the white suits too :3)

Notes from Dr. Cynthia Goodall, regarding growth of Rabbit Ray human hybrid RR-001:
12-10-2226
It has been about 8 months since RR first emerged from his egg. He has made tremendous progress and his growth factor has been outstanding. Despite it only being months… mentally the subject is processing information and even speaking to other scientists at the level of a 4 year old human child. It is extraordinary to witness. That means mentally each month he is maturing about half a year. We are providing him enrichment and lessons to help accelerate his growth. Vitals are all good and he is quite active. No predatory or omnivorous traits to be seen so far- despite the extra fauna we have supplied in his tank. He actually likes to race the other fish and has even been found singing to them, despite low exposure to his mother species. Perhaps linked to instinct? Further research required on that point…
However, I am a bit worried. For the past couple weeks he seems to be more tired and lethargic. We make sure he has exposure to the sun through the top of the tank and artificial sunlight is provided. So, not a seasonal issue… again maybe further research is necessary. I hear there’s already talk and work being done on another hybrid… perhaps that might give me some answers.

Notes from Dr. Grant Xander, regarding growth of Sea Emperor human hybrid SE-002:
05-15-2227
It has been 3 months since SE-002 emerged from its egg on 07-02-2227. We didn’t think it could be possible… that’s why we tried with RR-001 first. A more readily available DNA to procure. Though, the sea emperor population has increased exponentially since 4546B’s rediscovery about a century ago.
However- we should have tried this much sooner… SE-002 is a marvel. The fauna it interacts with seem to love and adore it, much like a king with his subjects. The whole tank has been more energetic and lively, with SE-002 playing and laughing throughout the day before tiring itself out to collapse into a sleeping heap. Usually the other fish circle around it.
It has been documented the Sea Emperor while held in the Primary Containment Facility seemed to be able to pacify predator and prey alike within its tank- to see a similar phenomenon with a half human is unlike anything we have seen… we are unwilling to try to see if SE can truly pacify a predator at the moment but perhaps after more growth from the subject. It is healthy and happy.
It seems to be growing in the same manner that RR-001 had. About half a year or so within a month mentally and physically- at least by human standards. By now, SE-002 mentally seems close to a 2 year old child. Maybe younger… unlike human toddlers though- they are not helpless. It seems the hybrids are able to swim almost right away- and find food quickly. Though, it seems they do need help at the beginning- they very quickly learn what they can find themselves provided it’s planted for them in the aquarium. Until about 2 weeks after hatching- it seems the hybrids behave more like their mother species- i.e. fish-like. They had a vacant far off stare and were driven by food and providing for their needs. They had trouble gripping things with their hands and would often run into objects with little grace. At this stage, a small personal aquarium is the safest option. Then, there is this… spark. It's like the human part of their brain has caught up and starts to develop milestones much like a human infant. Imitating smiles, babbling, gaining control of their hands, eye tracking. Thank god that Alterra has mastered the childhood development programming that we all grew up with on our own planets- they have been essential in ensuring we can provide correct education to the hybrids as they mature. We are not childcare providers… I don’t think any of us quite expected this experiment to result in… something so… human? Ironic, I know. I think we all expected something a bit more… easy to document and understand. And perhaps it is- just from a parental perspective instead of purely scientific. It was harder to understand what exactly we were seeing when observing RR-001… until one of our crew had a child. Then, we started to see the connections, even if the hybrids are growing more rapidly than human infants do.
I do hope this accelerated growth has a plateau however… Maybe human maturity? Perhaps, they will be like Terra canines- growing at a fast mental rate within the first years then stagnating after adulthood. We can only hope… if the hybrids grow so rapidly and it only leads to faster expirations… then this experiment might be considered a failure and waste of resources. I don’t want that to happen. I believe this project has so much left for us to discover…
Especially with SE-002. Even if it’s been a century since the curing of the infamous Khaara bacterium- it is still present here on 4546B. Just- much less deadly and easy enough to cure. Like the common cold, really. However… we saw in the Sector Zero Levithan… Khaara has a chance to survive and mutate- which we are all well aware of. History could very well repeat itself as we put ourselves into the grand roles of the ancient Architects. So… SE-002 could be the key we need should any disaster strike. Once stable enough, we should be able to see if he can provide any Enzyme 42 samples like its mother species.
Personal notes: …I’ve started to call him Jack… Jackaboy. I can’t help it. He looks so much like him when he was younger. Almost makes me miss home. But, I can carry a piece of my Jack with me this way. It’s unprofessional, I know. Unnecessary attachment… but SE-002 has an irresistible charm to him and zest for life. Just like Jack. I believe my brother would be honored.

From: Cynthia Goodall
Subject: Hybrid Interaction, Urgent Matter
05-08-2227
Grant,
I am deeply concerned for the well-being of RR-001 at the moment. Subject is showing signs of depression and is not as active as he once was. I believe SE-002 is showing signs of being healthy and active. Perhaps we should combine our efforts and house the hybrids together for observation and socialization? I believe this could negate any negative impact from perceived isolation. Many fauna here are highly social, especially the rabbit rays. I think RR-001 could really use a friend. Please advise.

————————-
Xander walked down the bright white corridors of the lab, holding SE-002 in his arms. The little sea emperor had his arms wrapped around the scientist’s neck as he observed the base with wide curious eyes. They sparkled as they passed windows showing the ocean beyond, bright with fish and glowing fauna. It wasn’t too different from SE’s tank but…. It was so big. It seemed like it went on forever.
“Hey Xander? Where are we goin’ again?” SE-002 asked.
Xander chuckled, “I thought I told you Jackaboy! Today, you’re going to meet a new friend. Someone who could really use someone as energetic as you.”
“Oh yay!” Jack smiled wide, “I like making friends! Is it more fishies??”
“No, lad,” Xander laughed, “It’s another hybrid. Just like you.”
Jack gasped, his eyes widening and sparkling. “Wooahhh! Really?? Someone just like me??”
“Well, he’s a different kind of fish but… very similar.” Xander smiled. “In a way… you two are like family. Brothers, really. I think you’ll like him. You two can be together from now on.”
“Yay yay yay!!” Jack cheered, bouncing up and down in Xander’s arms. The scientist shook his head with a laugh, “Save some of that excitement for RR, Jack!”
Soon enough, Xander strides into the main lab that housed RR-001. Dr. Goodall looked up and beamed at seeing SE-002. She walked over with a bright smile.
“Hello Xander! SE-2! My… look how big you’re getting!” She cooed. Jack shyly hid behind Xander’s neck but did attempt to wave.
Xander chuckled, “You remember Dr. Goodall, don’t you, SE?”
Jack shook his head. Cynthia smiled. “Well that’s alright. I’ve only really seen you in passing. But, I watch over RR-1 so… now that you’re joining him- we can all get to know each other better, hm?”
Jack looked a bit nervous and clung tighter to Xander, digging his little fingers into his white coat. Xander pats his head. “I’ll be around too, Jackaboy.” He whispers. “You don’t need to worry.” Jack slowly nods.
Cynthia gives him an understanding smile then gestures towards the hatch at the end of the large aquarium tank in the room. “Ready to meet RR, SE?”
Jack nodded again and smiled, his tails flicking to show his excitement. “Yes…!” He says quietly and the doctors smile. Dr. Goodall opened the hatch and Xander gently lowered Jack into the water. He smiles and ruffles Jack’s hair, “Go have fun, lad. I’ll see you later, okay?”
Jack beamed, “Okay! Bye Xander!” And then the little sea emperor rocketed off deeper into the aquarium to explore.
RR-001 was lying in the sand in a hidden corner of the tank, hiding behind some of the long creepvines. He was too tired to go swimming around today… he was hardly getting any sleep. And there was this- hole in his chest. It ached. More than the needles and small tests the doctors did on him. But… different somehow. He didn’t really have a word for it. And he didn’t want to deal with Dr. Goodall’s attempts today… she had been trying so hard to make RR act happier. Saying he wasn’t himself. Maybe he could see that… but he just didn’t have the energy. She did seem to mention a… surprise for him though? He couldn’t remember what… maybe a new fish for him to attempt to eat. He didn’t really like eating them though… made his stomach churn.
Suddenly, the vines he’s hiding behind are split apart by hands and a similar looking face to his pops into view.
“There you are!” The doppelgänger shouts with a smile. RR screams in turn and backs away, curling his tail up as close to him as possible, squeezing himself between the rock and the glass of the tank.
“W-W-Who are you?!” RR squeaks in a trembling voice.
The other hybrid grins, his teeth sharp but his expression is friendly. “I’m SE-2! But I dun really like that name. Xander calls me Jack and I like that sooo much more! So you can call me that!!”
“…j…Jack…” RR repeats. “Okay uh… h-how did you find me? I… I thought it was really good at hiding…”
“You were!” Jack laughs, “But I could hear you over here.”
“Really?” RR says with a tilt of his head, “…I didn’t think I was making any noise-“
“You didn’t tell me your name!” Jack interrupts, spurring forward to sit on the sand in front of RR. The rabbit Ray mer tries to scoot back again but he’s out of room. He looks at Jack with wide eyes.
“Uh… I… I’m RR-001.” He says slowly. Jack makes a face, raising an eyebrow.
“Your white suit doesn’t call you anything else?”
“…white suit?” RR asks.
“Oh- that’s what I call the doctors sometimes. Especially if I dunno who they are. They all wear white all the time!” Jack laughs.
RR finds himself chuckling too. Then his face falls. “…my ‘white suit’ hasn’t really called me anything. She gives me… nicknames? I think she called them? Like sweetie and love and stuff but… I don’t think those are… names. Usually, she just calls me RR.”
“Well that won’t do!” Jack exclaims, “s’not fair for me to have a name when you don’t! Besides- you don’t look like an RR to me… that’s a dumb name!”
RR makes an offended noise and slaps his tail against the sand. “Well! It’s the only name I know! M-Maybe I think Jack is a dumb name!”
“No you don’t. You think it’s cool. You’re kinda jealous.” Jack says simply, looking at RR with a strange, almost knowing expression. RR finds himself shivering. “H-How do you know that?”
“Mmm… I can feel it. Coming from your head, like- you’re saying it but not through your mouth.” Jack shrugs. “Dunno how I do it. I just know. So! Let’s think of a real name for you!!” He smiles brightly.
RR looks at the other hybrid nervously and curls up some more. “I…. I dunno how to… do that though…”
“We can figure something out! C’mon!” Jack says, grabbing RR’s hand and pulling him out of his hiding spot. RR makes a noise of protest but is eventually pulled out into the light, squinting his eyes and covering them up with his other hand. Man… how long had he been hiding in the dark…?
“Woahhh! You’re so much bigger than me!” Jack exclaims, looping around RR to look at him. “And your tail looks squishy!!” He pokes it and RR exclaims and pulls it back. “Hey!”
Jack’s head pops up under RR’s wing, almost looking like he’s wearing it as a hat. He giggles and nuzzles around in it. RR finds himself laughing without meaning to, pushing the other hybrid away. “Ah s-stop! That tickles!”
Jack pulls back up and giggles, swirling his tails around. “Sorry!! I just haven’t seen anything like ya! You’re a… a… oh what are they called?”
“…a rabbit ray.” RR supplies quietly, “that’s what Dr. Goodall says the RR in my name is. Rabbit Ray, RR. The 1 is because I was the first. That’s why you’re 2- you’re next.”
“Oooh!” Jack nods, then flicks his tails towards RR and giggles. “Well! I’m a Sea Emperor! Xander tells me they’re really special and junk. But, I dunno- you seem pretty special too!”
RR finds himself flushing. “You… you really think so…?” He asks, fidgeting with his hands.
“Yeah!” Jack says enthusiastically. “You were made first! That’s super special! That makes you my… brother- I think Xander said!”
RR’s eyes widen, a light coming into them that wasn’t there before. “…a… brother? Like… a… a family?”
Jack grins more and nods, “Yeah! That must be why we look alike, right? Xander and his brother also look alike but I’ve only seen pictures on the PDAs-“
RR finds himself laughing dazedly. “Y-Yeah… I guess so…”
Jack smiles at him and then twirls to look at the tank. “Alright then! Let’s look for your name then cuz I ain’t calling my brother a dumb letter name!”
After a few seconds of looking around Jack hums and then turns back to RR. “Before I came here, what did you like to do? Like- your most favorite thing to do!”
RR flicked his tail and played with the end of one of his wings. He eventually shrugs. “I… I like to swim fast- race with the other fish and try to chase them…”
“Oh! I like that!”
RR looks up and cocks his head, “like… what?”
“Chase!” Jack exclaims with a bright smile. “I think that sounds more like you than RR!”
“C…Chase…” RR tries out. It feels weird but… right. Slowly he smiles warmly at Jack, the biggest smile the tinier hybrid at seen from him.
“Yeah… Chase. I… I think I like that too.” Chase says. Jack yells in excitement and goes to tackle Chase in a hug. Chase startles, stiff in it as first. But, slowly he experimentally wraps his arms around Jack and… oh… that… that felt really good. Suddenly, his eyes feel wet and he makes a choked noise.
Jack backs up and then looks at Chase with concern. “Oh no! Why are you crying??”
Chase wipes at his face and looks at his hands in confusion. “I… I dunno…” he then laughs, “I think… t-they’re cuz I… I’m… happy…?” He laughs a bit louder and pushes his hair back, “y-yeah…! That feels right. I… I’m happy.”
Jack grins and grabs Chase’s hands, “Good! That’s really really good! C’mon! We can play now!” He starts tugging Chase through the water. “I wanna see how good you are at chasing, Chase!” And Chase can’t help but laugh and follow after him.
The two played all day long, Chase more lively and energetic than the scientists have seen in months. So, when the ocean water dimmed around the base and the lights turned off in the lab- the two were exhausted.
Chase swam over to his usual sleeping spot and splat down, ready to curl up in the warm sand and pass out. But, then he startles as he feels Jack crash down next to him and then sleepily curl up into his side, under his wing.
“Uh… Jack? What are you doing…?” Chase asked quietly.
“Gettin’ comfy….” Jack yawned, pressing his face into Chase’s side.
“Oh… um… why here?”
Jack blinked opened an eye and Chase now notices that they kinda glowed in the dark like his tails. Jack snorts out a tired laugh. “The fish in my tank never let me sleep alone so… I'm not gonna let my new brother sleep alone. Seems too lonely…” He yawns again and closes his eyes. “Dun wanna feel lonely again…”
Chase feels a grip on his heart and… that ache in his chest that had been so persistent seemed to fade. He chuckles softly and curls up so his wing is properly over Jack like a blanket and curls his tail around the tinier merman. “Okay…” He suddenly felt a surge of protectiveness flow through him as he looked down at Jack’s tiny body, how he breathes softly and relaxes into the sand. If there were predators around… he wouldn’t be safe.
Chase finds himself scooping up Jack to rest against his chest as he hugs him tight to himself. Jack is mostly asleep but just hums with a slight smile and curls some of his tails around Chase’s waist.
“…I’ll protect you, little brother.” Chase whispers, pressing his cheek against Jack’s hair. “We don’t have to be alone anymore…”

AU Thursday: Valicer In The Dark -- Discoveries
I am back with more Valicer In The Dark AU fanfic! Because I've actually written a fair bit for this AU over the past few months, and I figured that as long as it is sitting on my hard drive... Today's entry takes place a little while after "First(ish) Meetings" -- while Alice and Smiler were successful in getting Victor to the Mangled Mermaid so he could rest with a bowl of mushroom soup and get his head back on straight, it turned out that Emily managed to follow them there. And she's just realized what kind of place her new "husband" is hanging out in...
---
“Is this – is this a brothel?!”
The ghostly bride whirled on Victor, literal sparks flashing in her blue eyes as the air around her began to hum with electroplasmic charge. “Did you really run away from me to visit a whorehouse?!” she demanded, advancing on her unfortunate groom with hair twisting and curling around her face like devilfish tentacles, and her veil and train streaming behind her in an invisible breeze. The other patrons of the Mermaid promptly began clearing the area, a few preemptively making for the door.
“No! I wasn’t – t-this is j-just – this w-wasn’t my i-intention!” Victor babbled, holding his hands up in front of him in desperate supplication as he backed himself into the wall.
“Then what was your intention?” Emily demanded, face contorted with fury. Alice felt around again for her spiritbane charm, ready to chuck it at the ghost’s head if necessary. “Hmm? What possible reason could you have for coming here that isn’t – you know?!”
“Uh – food?”
All heads jerked around toward Smiler, standing a few dangerous feet from the confrontation. “He’s telling the truth – he didn’t really mean to come here,” they continued, giving Emily their best disarming smile. “Alice and I brought him here when he stumbled out of the ghost field onto the street where we were talking – but it wasn’t for the company. Nothing against you ladies, I’m sure you’re all wonderful,” they added, giving one of Nanny’s girls a thumb’s up. She returned it with an expression indicating she wasn’t entirely sure what else to do. “But our main concern was the fact that his stomach was growling louder than a leviathan.” They held up a gentle hand. “I know it’s probably been a while for you, and I’m sorry to bring it up if it causes you pain, but – living people do need to eat and drink if they’re going to stay alive. And you don’t actually want him to die – right?”
Emily stared at them for a long, worrying moment. . .then she blinked, and the hum softened as her veil dropped back down behind her. “No, I – I don’t,” she said, sounding a bit more – human. “I would never...oh, Victor, I’m sorry,” she added, turning back to him. “I – I genuinely do forget sometimes now about eating and drinking, and...” She blinked, electroplasmic tears shimmering in her eyes. “I have no idea how long it’s been since I was murdered, do you know that? I know I’ve been waiting for my true love for ages, but...I don’t think I kept you that long in my world, right?”
“I don’t know – I don’t think so,” Victor said, letting his hands drop. “But it is very hard to tell time in the ghost field, you’re right. . .I’m sorry too, Emily,” he continued in a softer voice. “I – I shouldn’t have just – s-slipped away from you like that. I should have t-tried to e-explain better. B-but I didn’t have the words, and I was s-so scared, and – and like Smiler said, I was hungry and cold, and...” He sighed heavily, pressing his fingers against his forehead. “And absolutely nothing lately has gone according to plan.”
“I know the feeling.” Emily perked up a little, a hesitant smile tugging at her lips. “But – but we can still make this work, right? We can alternate which side of the field we’re on day by day, so you can still eat and drink and – and not have to worry! We’ll even find a nice place to set up house together!”
“I think anyone who sees you two house-shopping is going to call the Spirit Wardens on you,” Alice couldn’t help saying.
Emily shot her a look. “I’m sure once I explain that Victor is my husband, they’ll be willing to – accommodate us. Somehow.”
Victor dropped his head, staring at his shoes. “That’s – that’s just it, Emily,” he muttered in a defeated voice. “The problem isn’t just that you’re d-dead – it’s that I’m already engaged.”
Emily froze – even her veil and skirts stopped bobbing. Alice had to admit, the sight was impressive as it was eerie. “What?”
“Engaged,” Victor repeated softly. “T-that’s why I was saying my vows w-where you could hear – I was practicing them after b-being run out of my own rehearsal for n-not being able to remember them.” He winced. “Well, t-that and leaving a lit candle on my future m-mother-in-law’s dress...”
“What? How and why did you do that?” Alice demanded, hands unconsciously clenching into fists as shadowy flames licked the walls. Behind her, the Queen of Hearts huffed, glaring at the offending groom as if she wished to take his head.
“I-it was an accident! We’d been r-rehearsing for t-three hours, and we’d only just gotten through ‘with this candle, I will light your way in darkness’ w-when we were interrupted by a newcomer...and when I t-tried to recall the next part of the vows, I got distracted and walked right into the table,” Victor said, rubbing his face hard. “Pastor Galswells d-demanded to know if I even had the r-ring, and when I pulled it o-out of my jacket pocket, I dropped it – and, of course, it rolled right under Lady Everglot’s s-skirt. And I was so intent on getting it back, I just – left the candle on her dress. It j-just figures after I had s-so much trouble getting it to light in the first place...” He waved placatingly. “She was fine – n-nothing worse than a small burn on her hem, I promise.”
“Yes, well, maybe make a better habit of keeping track of lit candles in the future,” Alice said, a bit harsher than she’d intended. “You never know when a flame in the wrong place might ruin someone’s life.”
“As Bumby ruined yours?” the Queen of Hearts hissed in her ear. “Ridiculous girl, you know the truth now. Why have you not cut his neck in twain?”
I can’t just kill him – what if the Spirit Wardens don’t find him in time? The last thing I want to deal with is his ghost. And while I’d like to expose him, he’s built up such a reputation as a do-gooder, it’ll be hard to topple. Especially since my own is in the gutter thanks to Rutledge – which you didn’t help with, I’ll remind you.
“I know, I know – I never – oh,” Victor groaned, letting his head thunk back against the wall. “I’ve got to learn to keep my wits about me better...”
“You do,” Emily agreed, folding her arms as she bobbed lightly in place. “So what happened after that? You ran away from your own rehearsal and, what, just wandered down my street saying your vows to yourself? With no idea that I was there at all?”
“More like Pastor Galswells ordered me out, but – yes,” Victor said, crossing his heart. “I’d been walking around, trying to get my head on straight and the words out right, and I – I didn’t even see you until you rose out of the ground before me.” He paused. “I – uh – did run away. Didn’t that seem – suspicious?”
“Well, I knew I’d startled you, but...I thought people knew I died there,” Emily said, expression falling. “That you’d come to – give my soul some peace by reciting the vows. And I know I was a little enthusiastic, but I was so happy, and...” She looked away, drumming her fingers against her arm – an impressive feat for a being so largely immaterial. “All right then, who is your actual fiancee? I’d like to meet Little Miss Living.”
“Hey, there’s no call to be rude,” Smiler chided. “It’s not her fault.”
“Exactly – from everything I c-could see in the few hours we had together, Victoria Everglot is a very nice person,” Victor agreed with a nod. “She never asked for any of this – i-it’s an arranged marriage, my family’s wealth for her family’s status. Please, if you’re in a mood, take it out on me, not her.”
“Everglot?”
Everyone’s attention abruptly shifted to Nanny, who was watching the scene with a curious tilt of her head. “Hang, I swear I heard something about them from one of them criers earlier this afternoon,” she continued, reaching up to fix her sagging bun. “Something about the daughter getting married?”
“What?” Victor started forward, nearly tripping over his own feet. “I – married to who? And when? I – w-what day is this?!”
“30th of Mendar,” Smiler provided.
“Yeah, and she got hitched today,” Nanny nodded. “Rush ceremony, I guess – maybe they didn’t want to waste the cake. Her and Lord – somebody or other, give me a minute...”
Victor stared at them both, head swiveling like it had been freshly greased. “30th of...I’ve been gone a day? And the Everglots already found a replacement?!”
“Seems like you weren’t very special to them, darling,” Emily said, in a tone that suggested she was trying to be mean, but not really succeeding. She sighed, letting her arms drop. “I’m sorry. I mean that. It’s not as bad as what happened to me, but it is horrible to be thrown over so easily.”
“I just...I thought...” Victor slumped into a nearby chair, running his fingers through his hair. “T-the whole point of the m-m-marriage was that the Everglots desperately needed my family’s money, and were willing to deal with my mother’s social-climbing to get it. I mean, they’re barely keeping themselves out of the poorhouse as it is. And when I met Victoria...we d-didn’t have long together, I admit, but – she seemed genuinely sweet. Complimented my piano playing, encouraged me to call her by her first name, seemed the least annoyed by my constant mistakes during the rehearsal...I – I was – just k-kind of hoping...”
“Well, if her parents are arranging the match, she likely didn’t have much choice in the matter,” Alice reminded him. “I doubt she’s any happier about the change in groom – especially if she’s gone from you to a total stranger.”
Victor rubbed the back of his head. “Well, uh, to be f-fair, we ourselves only met yesterday afternoon. Mother – well, she s-seemed to think it was a good thing that I’d never spoken to her before, so...”
Alice’s eyebrows shot up in shock. “What – not even a tea together first? To help you get to know each other?”
“That seems – abrupt,” Smiler agreed, blinking. “How can they be sure you’ll be happy together if they don’t let you get to know each other first?”
“Given what he just said about his mother, I doubt that was a priority, Smiler,” Alice pointed out. “This whole thing seems more like a business deal than a romantic connection.”
“It really is – they didn’t even tell me I was getting m-married until a month before,” Victor muttered. “But like I said, I was hoping for the best after meeting Victoria...and now...” He groaned, putting his head in his hands. “My parents are going to kill me.” He glanced up at Emily through his fingers. “Which would solve our problem, admittedly.”
“Don’t joke – I don’t want you to die,” Emily said with a stern frown. “Being dead’s awful. You’re always cold, and nobody talks to you, and...” She rubbed her arms. “...and I don’t remember what my mother looked like, despite knowing I’m wearing her dress. Or the sound of my father’s voice, even though I know he forbade my marriage to Eddie. And there’s so many big chunks of time now where I’m barely even conscious of myself, where all of you look like candles and all I want is to steal your light...” She sniffled, ghostly tears glittering in her eyes again. “That’s why I was so happy to hear you say your vows. I thought – I thought for sure having a proper husband, being able to be a wife instead of a bride...”
“Oh, Emily...” Victor stood up again, coming over to her. “I – I’m sorry. I wish I’d told you all this first thing. I wish – I wish I could have found you under better circumstances. If things were different...you really are nice.”
Emily sniffed. “You’re just saying that.”
“He’s not,” Smiler said immediately. “He made it clear even while he was trying to escape that he felt bad for what had happened to you.”
“It is a horrible story,” Alice agreed. “You deserved better.”
“You did,” Victor nodded. “And for what it’s worth, I did actually genuinely enjoy that duet you pulled me into in the pub. I’ve never met anyone as enthusiastic about the piano as I am before. It’s – it’s refreshing.”
Emily smiled weakly. “Thanks. I wish things were different too.” She sighed, skirts undulating in her personal breeze. “Look, do you want me to explain–”
“Barkis!”
Nanny snapped her fingers, drawing their attention back to her. “Lord Barkis, that was it! Some newcomer to the city! Must have swooped in and dazzled them with his foreign riches,” she declared. “Hard luck, sure, but it’s hard to compete with Iruvian honey or whatever it is–”
“Barkis?”
Emily’s voice was barely more than a whisper, but it drew all eyes to her just the same. “Edward Barkis?” she continued, a bitter bite in her tone now as her veil started crackling softly.
“Uh – dunno,” Nanny said, backing up a step despite herself. “Crier didn’t say. Why?”
“Because Edward Barkis was my fiance.” Emily spread her arms, letting everyone get a good look at the dark silver stain on the front of her gown, and the open wound between two of her ribs. “Up until he shoved a knife through my heart for my mother’s jewels and my father’s gold.”
“Seems you two are kindred spirits, of a sort,” Cheshire commented, grinning wider over his pun.
I think that description applies more to poor Lizzie than it does to me. “You think it’s the same man, then?” Alice said, folding her arms.
“Might be – Eddie claimed to be the son of a shoemaker, but he could have been lying then too.” Emily turned to Victor, mouth a thin, anxious line. “I think we need to call on the former Miss Everglot quite urgently. Because if her Barkis is the same as mine – she’s going to suffer a lot worse than being thrown over.”
“Right,” Victor agreed, nodding rapidly. “I’d never forgive myself if she...we’ll hire a gondola, the canals will be faster than the streets...oh, wait, no, my wallet’s at home, I forgot to pick it up before the rehearsal, and then I didn’t think I’d need it...”
“I’ll pay,” Smiler said immediately. “I’ll come with you, even. Try and help you smooth things over.”
“What? Oh, no, you’ve done more than enough–” Victor started.
“I’m an Advocate – my whole purpose in life is to help people be happy,” Smiler cut in, holding up a firm finger. “And I think preventing her from getting murdered will make your former fiance very happy indeed! Besides, we don’t know what’s going to happen when you get to her house – in case her parents try to throw you out, or he has friends in the wedding party ready to try and take you out, don’t you want some back-up?”
“If that’s the scenario you’re worried about, I should go too,” Alice said, touching her knife. “I don’t know how either of you are in a fight, but I’ve gotten pretty handy with a blade out of necessity. Some of the creeps in Charhollow don’t listen to anything but a stab in the hand.” She bit her lip. “Not to mention, my own history makes me rather eager to see any arsehole who hurts young women for their own gratification get theirs.”
“On the wrong end of a marriage proposal yourself?” Emily asked, all sympathy.
“No – you might have died before this happened, but I’m the only survivor of the Liddell fire.”
“The Liddell – oooh,” Victor said, sucking in a breath. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize...” His brow (what there was of it) furrowed in sudden confusion. “But wait, I thought. . .the story I’ve always heard is that the family cat accidentally knocked over an oil lamp in the library?”
“A scurrilous lie perpetrated by the perpetrator,” Alice informed him. “I’ve been piecing together my memories of that night over the past few weeks, and Dinah wasn’t downstairs at all – she was in my room. In fact, she’s the reason I was the sole survivor – I wouldn’t have gotten out if she hadn’t shown me it was possible to live through leaping out the second story window.”
“Explains why we didn’t find her furry little body in the wreckage,” Nanny noted, frowning. “So you think someone came in and burned up your family deliberately?”
Alice swallowed. How far do I tip my hand...Nanny might believe me, she must remember poor Lizzie’s complaints, but the others...maybe I can talk around the fact that I think I work for the bastard now? “Yes – that awful suitor of Lizzie’s. I woke to the sounds of him – having his way with her – that night, and when he crept out and saw I was awake, he panicked, shut me in, and grabbed my nightlight. That was the lamp that ended up in the library fireplace and started off the whole conflagration.” She sighed heavily. “And he got away with it because I was in no fit state to let anyone know what I saw – hell, I threw the memories into the back of my mind because I just couldn’t deal with them.” And look what’s happened as a result.
“Beware the trap of guilt without action,” Caterpillar counseled, winging around her head. “Your own healing was necessary before you could help others. Just don’t delay too long in helping them now.”
Emily clasped her hands over her mouth, eyes wide. “Oh – oh, I am so sorry. For you and your sister. . .yes, you must come with us,” she added, nodding. “If this is my Barkis, we’ll need the Bluecoats – and while we’ve got them there for me, you can tell them what you’ve remembered too and get that awful man put away!”
“I – I don’t know if they’ll believe me,” Alice admitted, scuffing the floor with a foot. “I’m well-known around the whole city for seeing things that aren’t there and being a general nuisance. They might just laugh in my face if I try to tell them everything I know about the fire is wrong.”
“They won’t laugh if I’m there,” Victor said, expression determined. “I may not actually have my family fortune to hand, but the name has got to count for something. I’ll tell them how you helped me, and that they should at least give you a hearing.”
“Same here,” Smiler promised. “You’re my friend, Alice, and you deserve justice for what happened to you and yours. You deserve to be happy again, plain and simple.”
Alice felt a long-forgotten warmth in her chest as she looked at the two of them. To be called a friend by someone she just occasionally passed by on her infrequent trips here...to have someone she’d just met be willing to vouch for her character...it made her smile, despite all her worries. “Thank you,” she said softly, then straightened up, all business. “Let’s be off, then.”

🦇New Profile Pin🦇
Welcome to my Domain of Debauchery
Tumblr media
Hi, I’m Momo. I am a writer for a fantasy yandere blog. My request blog is only open for original work now, it’s not longer for fandom (once in a blue moon I will dabble).
Tumblr media
What you can request: anything. There are no rules because it’s all original work now. For Baki, my rules are simply no incest or Noncon.
This is a fantasy/ horror/ Yandere blog now so I now have creative freedom without worrying about keeping a character ‘in character.’ They can be as insane as anyone wants.
But I still will be writing Baki fanfics/ head canons. (Love my muscular men +Kozue)
If there is a specific original character you have in your head that you’d like to come to life, just let me know. I’ll do my best to make it 🖤

Story. Life on the Line
Previous | Next
[ID: Ten digitally sketched panels in black and white, with one instance of red and green.]
Tumblr media
[Panel 1: Hare approaches The Skull worriedly, holding up a hand in a 'slow down' gesture. He says, "Skull, wait (em-dash)" The Skull calmly says, "There's no time. Dee's giving us a chance, and I'm taking it."]
Tumblr media
[Panel 2: Hare's temper flares, and he says sharply, "You're damn quick to throw yourself at the Walters' mercy! What if they're tricking you like Buster's men did, and they off you while your guard's down?!"]
Tumblr media
[Panel 3: The Spine, offended, says, "We wouldn't do that!" Hare growls at him, "Yeah? You lot wouldn't jump at the chance to get rid of a thorn in your side?"]
Tumblr media
[Panel 4: The Spine looks over at The Jon, who tilts his head curiously. The Jon asks, "Would you?"]
Tumblr media
[Panel 5: Hare looks away silently (ellipses). The Skull says, "Hare. I've put my life on the line for you and Jack more times than I care to think about. Doing it one more time, for Scratch (ellipses)"]
Tumblr media
[Panel 6: Shot over The Skull's shoulder, only part of his face visible. Behind him is Rabbit, looking concerned. The Skull says, "(ellipses) Well, it's not life we've got much else left to protect."]
Tumblr media
[Panel 7: Hare becomes livid, his eye glowing green. Behind him is a white-to-dark gradient, on top of which the silhouette of the amplifier is surrounded by red. Hare demands angrily, "What are you looking at?! You pitying us?!"]
Tumblr media
[Panel 8: The Jack leans forward on the bench and says, "Hare, she's not (em-dash)" Hare storms away, past Dee, saying, "I can't watch this." From underneath the bench, Tatters watches him go.]
Tumblr media
[Panel 9: Hare leaves the room. Vivian says, brows creased, "We should hurry. I need to start looking at that inverter."]
Tumblr media
[Panel 10: The Skull looks over at The Jack, who back looks at him guiltily. The Skull says, "I know. Get it ready. Jack. Before I go, I need to say something." End ID]
