How do you say goodbye to the love of your life? What do you do when you can't say goodbye? If you had one more chance, would you risk the entire universe to spend the last hours of its existence with them?

Lila Raftis is lonely. James Herondale is tired. Cordelia Carstairs is missing. Matthew Fairchild is drinking too much. Somehow, they have to trust each other in order to save the world. Every world. Someone has created a tear in reality, and the clocks are counting down until the universe's collapse. Lila must impersonate Cordelia to help James repair this tear and prevent doomsday. Matthew's just trying to stay out of trouble. When Lila falls in love along the way, she must decide which is more important: love or the universe?

If there’s one change I would add to the the last hours series, it’s that I would not make the love triangle between James, Cordelia and Matthew - but rather Matthew, Lucie and Jesse.

To me, it just almost felt crowded. You have James, Grace, Cordelia and Matthew… he did NOT need to be there. I think a more prominent love triangle between Grace, James and Cordelia could have been more interesting. Especially since James is getting forced into that position, I feel like that also could have let Cassie focus more on Graces character earlier on.

Also, I actually think people WOULD ship Lucie and Matthew together, which would have made it an actual interesting love triangle. Cordelia and Matthew never really had that kind of chemistry to me personally, they just felt like really cool friends.

Idk like, I really like the idea between Lucie and Matthew dynamic! Had they been set up as a love triangle I think I would actually enjoyed it, and I probably would have enjoyed shipping them.

It was also stated that Matthew had a crush on Lucie at some point… so… 🙂‍↕️

(first of all, have you really read all the books right?? Because it never seems like she's using it in a romanticizing it way, but in a way of showing a power abuse and violence)

I saw someone say that Cordelia's love for James was something she should have gone over years before she came to London.

First of all, she was fourteen, friendly reminder that Clary was only a year older when she fell in love with Jace.

Second of all, Cordelia had no one except her best friend and that one boy who she had become fond of. She was moving constantly, never staying in a place enough to make friends, no one except Lucie and that boy. And ,honestly, if I were her I would hold onto the idea of that boy, who understood her, who cared for her, who was one of her only two friends, one of the only constant things in a life where everything was always changing, like a sailor who's ship had sunk would hold onto a log in an endless sea.

So no, she couldn't have gotten over him.
