Some things that are in the X-Men 97 cartoon are shown in this prelude tie-in comic such as "Jean Grey" (or maybe not) is revealed to be pregnant, Storm gets a mohawk haircut and Bishop is a member of the X-Men because his time travel device is undergoing repairs.

I had so much fun with Chad on this episode because he felt good like directing. He'd just written that flashback episode. Now he is directing like it felt like there was some momentum and when you've been on a show this long and, you've just been doing the same thing over and over again and no one trusts you to do more. That feels shitty. And so he, he was being trusted to do more. You guys were on deck to direct, like it felt like there was some momentum. -Hilarie
