Opening Day: May 10th

Hello friends! Posting the official opening day for you to look forward to! The bulk of the work is done, I have a little more code to tweak and some of the guidebook to finish. My goal is to create a relaxed paced roleplay for our love of Dune. We've had a lot of interest in this which is awesome, if you've interacted with some of our other posts, you'll know I'll be tagging everyone in opening day once it arrives!

As a 3/3/3 Jcink premium site, it will have no claims to fill, no overall site plot, no activity checks or posting requirements. Being a sandbox roleplay, there will be no character accounts. Meaning you can take as many OCs and canons as your heart desires. Only requirements to join will be reading the guidebook, be older than 18+, and agree to follow the rules.

As my first official job, I had the immense pleasure of working with the Winds of Change team. The commission was carried out as a complement to the wonderful skin developed by Teal - remembering that the requesters consulted the creator if changes were allowed before commissioning.

Special categories have been developed in tabs to make it easier to navigate the site. A new design has also been added to match the rest of the skin.

Taking place in the early parts of the MCU, this alternate-timeline Marvel Cinematic Universe RP features a unique take on Canon characters by utilizing concepts from What If, Spiderverse and Loki. Welcome to Earth-628. In this reality Rifts, strange portals of varying size, have opened up around the universe. They caused a massive wave of mutations in X-gene people as well as bringing characters from other realities to this one. While we borrow from the comic canon while leaning towards realism with the MCU setting. Many major canons open! The application is the character profile. So long as the changes to the characters fit the 'spirit' of the character's canon, creativity is encouraged! This aspect of it is most heavily influenced by 'what if'

(though only one variant of any character is in play at a time unless it's for an event!)

Officially 2 weeks away from opening day! 🥳 We're an 18+ premium JCINK site. Focused on creating a sandbox-style roleplay space that brings together book fans and movie-goers alike. All for our shared love of Dune and writing nonsense!

We've been running a supernatural genre board for the past 4+ years and it's a great experience.

Before that, I co-founded a Mass Effect board which is still running to this day, they've kept a lot of the framework I implemented, and I'm still close friends with my co-founder 🥰 We share code and support each other. It's where I met Maj!

All that to say I think we have the beans to bring an epic Dune board which no one asked for or wanted 🤣 I tried looking around for a board where I could play some of the canons/ocs I wanted to play, and it surprised me I couldn't find a single board! Especially with the rise in popularity with the movies! Let's change that. We'll see you there!

Hey sunlings! Our last skin preview is a look at our mobile skin. That's right, you can do all of your rping from the comfort of your smartphone. It's also been optimized for tablet screens, too (portrait will give you the mobile layout, but landscape should give you the normal web layout)!

Not pictured is the profile, because it's hard to get screenshots of it when tumblr mobile only lets you post 10 photos at a time. But rest assured, profiles work just fine on mobile!

All mobile testing was done on an iPhone 11 running iOS 16.5 using Safari, but was cross-tested on a windows laptop using Chrome's device toggle. So there may be some differences on your devices, but they shouldn't be drastic.
