You've had a terrible day today so, you decide to call your best friend Miles. You had a small crush on Miles, you'd never tell him that though. You didn't think he could ever even like you back, so you just decided you'd never tell him. Luckily, Miles picks up the phone after 2 rings.

"Miles?"

"Hey ma, what's up?"

"I really just need to get out the house, wanna go for a drive?"

"Be there in five."

He picks you up, and you guys talk and drive around for the longest time. Already, you feel so much better.

"Shittt, I gotta get more gas."

"Oh, no problem."

You guys stop at the gas station, he rolls down the window while he gets gas and leans on the window cell to talk to you.

"Ma, how bout after this we-"

He's cutoff by 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 approaching him, "Hi! I love your car!"

"Oh, thanks."

"Your braids also look really nice. Oh! I loveee your shoes, I have a similar pair back at home."

"Yeah, that's cool." Feeling jealous, you lift your hand up and just start playing with his fingers to see what he would do. Miles notices this, and looks down and smirks at you 𝘣𝘶𝘵 he keeps talking to the girl.

"Sooo, how about we have a date sometime?" Now, you squeeze his hand and he squeezes it back.

"Na, I gotta go. My girl's in the car." What did he just say? 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭? You feel your heart flutter at his words, but you just play it off.

Miles just get's back in the car and says, "So, we gonna talk about that?"

"Talk about what? The woman that clearly wanted in your pants? There's nothing to talk about."

"Oh na, there's clearly something to talk about." He reaches over and grabs your hand and holds it in his lap. You try to move your hand away, but he just squeezes it harder.

"I don't know. There's nothing to talk about. Just take me home."

"Aight, whatever you say." He just drives you home, but the whole car ride there's just complete silence. Once you finally arrive home, you quickly unbuckle your seatbelt and bolt to your house. Unfortunately for you, he's on your tail and he's running after you. Your about to shut the door, but he gets inside before you can shut it.

"We're gonna talk about it." He demands

"There is nothing to talk about! I knew she was annoying you, so I was just trying to play it off."

"Uh uh, that didn't happen. You're gonna tell me the truth."

"What truth is there to tell?!"

"You were jealous."

"What? No I wasn't!"

"Wrong answer. You didn't want me going out with her."

"I.. no, you can do whatever you want."

"Mmm hm, wrong answer." He starts to cage you in up against the wall, "I'm gonna ask you one more time, 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘫𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘴?"

"Oh please, if roles were reversed you would have been fine, it's whatever."

"Na, I wouldn't have been."

"Every guy that touches you, talks to you, hell even looks at you ma, I try not to loose my shit. So na, I wouldn't have been fine, I woulda been jealous. I also would've been able to tell you that."

"Yeah.." You say barley under a mumble, lowering your head in embarrassment. Miles takes a step back from you. 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵, 𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦.

Before you can even respond, he leans in and kisses you. Cupping your face with one hand, while the other slithers around your waist pulling you closer.

Since it's Knuckles Wachowski's week, I rewatched both movies, the first a couple nights ago and the second tonight.

And may I just say

No fictional characters have ever awakened my maternal instincts as strongly as the Wachowski children have.

Jealous Hobie

Miles talking with Ganke about the latest One Piece episode and hyping for Gear 5 Luffy. The two are so close they like to hug and snuggle while watching movies or anything friendship bonding.

Anyway!

Hobie decides to drops in on Miles' dorm to surprise him with a cute date, he saw how his boo is snuggling and sharing a blanket with Ganke. The two unaware of Hobie coming into the window, because they are so busy laughing, chatting, even sharing snacks while watching their anime.

Miles eyes on the tablet: Yo that's sick! He's JOYBOY! -fed his best friend some popcorn-

Ganke chews on the popcorn: Right! This shit is so fire! -they sat closer to have a better view while having the blanket covering them-

Hobie press his lips being annoyed seeing his boo giving the same affection to his best friend instead of him, and got more annoyed that they didn't noticed him. So he purposely made a loud noise or drop his gibson electric guitar on the floor causing them to look at the direction the sound came from.

Miles noticed his bf: Oh Hey, Hobie.

Hobie eyes on the two: Hey, luv... Darling, what's going on over here? -using his hand to show the two why they are so close-

Miles unaware of Hobie being jealous because he never knew Hobie can get jealous or is the jealous type: Oh, me and Ganke are watching a show. Shh, we want to finish the episode -He then lays his head on Ganke's shoulder and Ganke lays his head on Miles'-

Hobie stares almost ready to fight, but held it in. Then he angrily forces his way to be in the middle.

Ganke: YooO! WTF! -popcorn being spilled over the bed-

Miles scooting to the side: Ow, Hobie! What are you doing, man! We're wat-

Hobie sat between them, having one arm around Miles' shoulder: That's more like, ain't that right luv? Aren't i better. Here lay your head right here.

Miles blink in surprised then laughs: Okay, bae.

Ganke rolled his eyes: You know, me and him are just friends right?

Hobie: I'm all for platonic love and friendship, but this man right here -using his hand to squish Miles' face making his lips look like a fish- is mine.

Ganke: Pfft, hey he is all yours.

Miles: Can we just finish the show!

Hobie snuggles Miles being super possessive: Now we can! -then look at the odd show- so what is dis? About pirates, mate? Why do they need gears if they are on a ship, luv?

Ganke and Miles freak out because they forgot Hobie is on a different timeline: OH MY GOD! YOU DON'T KNOW ONE PIECE!

That cut off tee has be feeling g a lot of ways.

We haven’t seen Buck in a cut off tee since his posturing at Eddie in the firehouse gym wayyyyyy back in 2x01

I don’t know why but that fact and the fact that this might very likely be from ep 100 is giving me how it started how it’s going vibes - there’s just something about the idea of them playing into Bucks jealousy and it making him do stupid things (like sprain someone’s arm or whatever injury he causes).

It’s the combination of the cut off tee that connects to the jealous posturing, the water theme and the construction on sunset theme all being put together in one scene that has me feeling things.

I've wanted to introduce Cool New Lore in the Wereshifter Miles AU for....way too long. Idk I kinda lost focus in the g/t art department for while :^)

This sort of started with the thought process of "hmm it's kind of odd that Miles would be the only one with a sizeshifting condition..." And that made me think about how they wasted Athena & Miles interaction in Dual Destinies (aka the lack thereof).

Athena shrinks based on her emotions! She had very little control over it when she was a child. And she would shrink from hearing other people's emotions as well. Though sometimes she would shrink at will. Because it's fun.

She has a decent grip on it nowadays, but Turnabout Tomorrow was incredibly hard on her.

But she trusts Phoenix enough to let go now.
