Pairing: gojo x fem! Black! Reader
SPOILERS FOR RECENT MANGA CHAPTER
Summary: your first 12 hours with gojo since he came home
A/n: it's been 3 years but my baby is finally home🥲
Tumblr media
The night he came home was pure bliss. Gojo knocked at your front door with his hands in his pockets and the warmest smile on his face. The sun had fully set but the night had not fully taken over. The deep blue that colored the sky, like the last of a veil being lifted from its bride to reveal the shining stars, illuminated him in front of you. Suddenly, you felt like a girl again.
The nineteen days he was gone, trapped in something you could not save him from, felt like eternity. Nineteen days worrying and crying so hard that you were certain silver would intertwine itself with your dark curls. Nineteen days a smile would not reach your face.
For a moment, you just stood in front of him; you couldn't tell if you were dreaming again or if he was there, real and only a few feet away from you, unharmed. Once your eyes began to water and gasps of relief left your lips, Gojo spoke.
"Honey?"
Without a word, you stepped forward and reached your hands to Gojo's face. You removed his mask to find those azure eyes looking softly at you like they always did. That indescribable love only you understood was back, and it beckoned you into the calm sea where only you and he remained. Tears fell down your cheeks as you rested your hands on either side of Gojo's face. The relentless rush of emotion that was released couldn't be stopped, and you found yourself breaking down into Gojo's chest.
Gojo felt a pang in his heart as you sobbed. Wrapping his arms around you, his hands rubbed the length of your back to let you know he was there.
When your tears finally ceased and your throat was almost raw from wailing, you looked back up at Gojo, caressing his cheek. There were a thousand words on your mind. A thousand it's you's, a thousand I missed you's; a thousand you're home's. But they all got muddled on the tip of your tongue. Still, Gojo understood and heard you loud and clear.
That night, you weren't alone for the first time in over two weeks. After the tenth night, the cold sheets and emptiness in your arms started to feel normal, but the sorrow from the absence of his touch only increased. Gojo, however, had missed your touch since the moment the battle started at Shibuya. You were the only thing that kept him going. Gojo could defeat twenty sorcerers without breaking a sweat, and it was only because in the back of his mind he was thinking:
"I need to make this quick so I can get home to my baby."
But he didn't come home that night. Often, when he wasn't missing your hands on him, Gojo thought about how worried you must have been that night, especially since Halloween was your most sacred couple's holiday next to Christmas. He should have been home with you, eating egregious amounts of candy while cuddled on the sofa watching scary movies. The image replayed in his head, the reward after the mission; his arm wrapped around you and you inching in closer and closer each time something particularly graphic happened on screen. If only it weren't for that damned box.
Although, after everything that happened, Gojo was glad he returned to heaven itself.
Your head was on his chest while Gojo's arm was around you, rubbing up and down your thigh. He sighed, finally at ease, as the tips of your fingers traced the length of his abdomen.
That night was for reunion. It was for the rejoicing of your souls that finally be one again. Each word was spoken through kisses and movements, and even though you both were still there, the brief departure from each other when your lids grew heavy was as unbearable as the day you parted physically.
The next morning, you were delighted to find Gojo's arms wrapped around you while he still slept soundly. Part of you considered staying there until he woke up, but then the worry had set in. It wasn't the worry that ate at you from the inside, but silly, trivial things. Gojo hadn't come home hurt in any way, but for nineteen days he hadn't eaten anything. Starvation wasn't a threat on his life inside of the prison realm, but you couldn't not fix him a good meal after he had gone that long without filling his mouth. Luckily, Gojo was still as sound a sleeper as he always was, and you could slip out of the bed and sneak your way into the kitchen.
Various scents hit Gojo's nose at once as his brain eased back into consciousness. From the bed he smelled grits buttered and salted to perfection, thick slices of applewood bacon, biscuits made from scratch, and...God in heaven, were you making cheese eggs?
Breakfast was almost done. You were cooking like you had a family to feed on a Sunday morning, but you couldn't stop yourself. Once you picked out a few things you knew were Gojo's favorite, you just kept going. As the eggs were almost finished cooking, you felt a pair of arms wrap around you and Gojo's chin rest on your shoulder. Any other time, you might have been slightly irritated by him getting in your way while you were cooking, but you missed how he squeezed you and nuzzled into the crook of your neck.
"Morning, bubbas." You smiled softly.
Gojo looked at the lineup on the counter, intoxicated. If you hadn't made your way to his heart by being your beautiful and wonderful self, you definitely secured your spot with your excellent cooking. To say Gojo was excited was an understatement.
"Is this all for me, mama?" He hummed against your neck.
"Yes. Oh, and I got some grapefruits for you in the fridge."
You started to feel Gojo laugh against you and hold you tighter in his arms. "You didn't have to do all this, babe."
"I wanted to." You crooned.
Suddenly, you felt a deep, loving kiss on the side of your neck followed by many more peppered about. Your eyebrows shot up reflexively, and Gojo started to speak between kisses.
"My beautiful wifey, what did I do to deserve you."
You started laughing and it felt like a storm of bubbles filling the air around the two of you. Shimmying your shoulders, you tried to shake Gojo off.
"Sit down somewhere! I'm almost done."
Before letting you go, Gojo met you face to face and placed a sweet kiss on your lips.
"I love you, Y/N."

Tumblr media Tumblr media
im actually scared of how manipulative kenjaku is?? 😰 suguru def won't approve of this behavior.
also it kind of doesn't make sense that he thinks that the culling game has no true gamemaster when he literally broke the rule system to add two new rules.
but then i guess it's bc he has the intention of putting drawbacks… but ehhh… idk
Tumblr media
MAKIIII OH MY GOODDDDDDD YOURE SO HOT PLS I MISSED U
Tumblr media

also this short flashback of gojo 🥹🥹 i miss him so much my goodness. it's just bittersweet to even watch shoko reminisce about the memory of gojo not wanting to be alone anymore.
....
"come back already gojo"
HAH. i bet gege used that line to rile us up and yes i believe it worked on me 😩😭 i need him to finish this stupid ass game.

Gege: I don’t write romance Also Gege: Also I literally cannot contain my desire to explore complex relational dynamics at the soulful level any longer so here’s a completely ambiguous statement to fuel your ot3 fantasies
Tumblr media
Like did we really need this panel if it wasn’t to show their dynamic was ambiguous?

Ok first of all secret dating with yuji? No. He’s to excited and happy about everything that he would spoil said secret relationship within the hour bUt for the sake of this thought he keeps it hidden.
But
Imagine you have a secret relationship with yuji (aged up ofc) and he’s doing his hardest to keep it hidden but then sukuna just exposes you lot simply cause he was upset at, idk yuji not getting him a happy meal with chocolate milk or smth but he exposes you lot out of spite

I came here after reading your Choso&Yuji fics, I love them! 🥰The scenes where they are training blood manipulations are my fave, filling in the gap in the current manga chapters for me so thank you! Your author's notes very interesting but there are some things I don't quite understand. My questions:
1. Was it ever explained how Yuji can do blood manipulation? And how he get the red claws?
2. Since Choso is a Kamo, does that mean he's related with kamo, the young one? I'm still confused because I saw some fans said they are not while some said they are and the fanpage says that Choso's father is Kamo the younger's ancestor, which means they are related?
3. Does that mean Yuji had a Kamo blood too because he's Kenjaku son? Like perhaps his mother? Because why is it different between them? Why Choso reacted like that to Yuji's blood but not to the other Kamo?
4. Are the memories Choso had about Yuji is from him alone or the influence from Yuji's cursed energy?
Sorry if my questions sound very dumb to you! myb cos I was skipping a lotta chapters of the manga to catch up with current arc (I almost skipped the whole culling game thing) but I watched the anime and still not understanding a lot.
Btw my fav is your Light at the end of dark tunnel and I'm actually sad that it hasn't been updated for long despite you still write new fics for new pairings 🥲 but I dont mean to rush you or anything, just hoping one day it will be updated again 🙏
Thank you for liking my stories and telling me about it! Ah I guess it does get confusing if you don't read the manga in order. In fact I've seen manga readers still confused abt the same things as yours so no, they are not dumb questions! Hwvr, to answer, it'd be better to go into manga's chronological orders so it'd be easier to understand...so beware of long answers ahead.
1. It was nvr explained explicitly but heavily hinted, which from the ways Gege does thing so far, which is not always spitting out everything for readers. It could be perceived as true. It happened in ch 220. I'll explain later below.
2. Yep, by all means they are related. I think this much is pretty clear from the narrative even if you're an anime-only let alone read the manga. Related as in coming from the same clan/ancestry line/bloodline. Iirc I explained this in end notes of ch 1 of my long fic. Blood Manipulation is a prized CT that is passed down only thru bloodline/genetics. It wasn't a sporadic thing like Geto's curse manipulation CT. It is the same as Zenin's 10 shadows and the Gojo fam' Limitless/Six Eyes. The fact that Choso has it despite being incarnated in an irrelevant non-sorcerer body meant that his Kamo's blood from his papa (Kamo Noritoshi Sr) still runs fully thru his current body. The concept of JJK is mostly how a soul cud modify the body. For Choso this is def the case cz there was 1 panel where he said he cud no longer sense the prev body owner's soul/essence. So, as a cursed object of a Kamo blood, he had taken over the body fully. Back to the question, howvr, to which degree he's related to Noritoshi Jr we might nvr find out unless GG care enough to lay out the Kamo family tree. They could be as distantly-related as Gojo with Yuuta or more direct line in family. But I don't see how that wud ever happen cz it's neither important to the plot nor is it important to any of the character's narratives.
So yeah, the opinions that said they are completely unrelated are definitely off the mark. It's silly tbh, cz it doesn't take a lot to comprehendthis particular narrative 😅. The BM technique and the great 3 clans backgrounds were there to confirm. I personally think, they must be branching a lot so it's not straight vertical line. Cz Kamo Sr had offsprings and cud have more legitimate offsprings outside the Death Paintings, it cud be said he wud be like a great great greaaat granduncle to Noritoshi Jr (which explains why the fanpage says Kamo Sr was Kamo jr's ancestor) and since Choso, Eso, and Kechizu didnt have offsprings they wud be more like great great greaaat grandcousins or cousins 8-10 times removed lmao. That's how clan family works.
Which brings us to the next Q that is Yuuji. Remember that Yuuji is always the special case.
3. Yuuji is by no means a Kamo even till now. He got BM technique thru acquired means which in ch 220 heavily hinted that he ate the rest of Death Paintings remains (as permitted by Choso). All the Death Paintings had BM like I said before cz they are of Kamo's descendants, only the properties that were different. For Choso it's poison. For Eso is rotten blood.
This is why, despite being born from Kenjaku who once inhabited Kamo Sr's body, Kenjaku didnt pass down BM to Yuuji cz once again, BM is a CT that is passed thru literal bloodline. Which is why we never saw him did BM while in Geto's body. Kenjaku being in Kaori's body who wasn't a Kamo cud not pass that CT down to Yuuji. He cud howver, resist Choso's poisonous cursed blood due to him being the other's papa.
By eating the Death Paintings' remains, Yuuji gained access to BM thru their souls which modify Yuuji's being. Most likely his red claws came from one of the Death Paintings' properties as well. This is the same to how he got stronger and gained more CE by eating Sukuna's fingers, which are also cursed objects, and how Gojo said he wud 1 day gain access to Sukuna's CT. Yuuji's body is such that after ingesting cursed objects, his soul gained control instead of being devoured like how Choso's soul took over the human body he incarnated in. It's why it doesn't make Yuuji a Kamo because he's still the one in control, not the Death Paintings he ingested.
4. I think 👆 has explained it. The memories are one-sided on Choso and they never happened. It's due to the bond between their cursed blood.
Why Choso reacted differently between Yuuji and the other Kamos? Simply cz Choso's narrative is designed to be a character who lives by and for his little brothers only. When it comes to the Death Paintings, they have cursed blood, don't they? Their CE and blood come as a package and cannot be separated. Which imo explains why it's not exactly literal/biological blood that bond him with Yuuji but rather the cursed properties in it, courtesy of Kenjaku's hopping bodies that brought and passed along his CE's components to all his offsprings and that's it...not the host bodies' genes or anything else. This is also why it's only Choso who felt the bond and not Yuuji cz Yuuji's CE didn't rely on his cursed blood back then. I didn't know abt it now though that he had eaten Choso's other little brothers and gained new properties to his bodies.
Unless somehow, when Choso and the brothers were inside the tubes their souls went to another cycle of life with Yuuji in another life lmao. But this one is my headcanon so dont take it seriously.
Thanks for the encouragement. I don't have any excuse abt it but I'll try updating the long fic when I can. That one is sth I took on more seriously which is why the writing process is much harder than the occasional one-shots that I've published. Much harder to hype myself to keep up with it as well. Plus I have lots of ideas come and go that keep swimming in my head and always have these sudden urges to tackle new dynamics when I came across a refreshing different pairing 😂

Hello, can I ask from this ask game :
https://www.tumblr.com/threecheersforinking/677824836625694720/anime-ask-game?source=share
For anime/manga : Monster and Jujutsu Kaisen.
Sure!
JJK
Favourite Character:
Kenjaku (big surprise)
Favourite Arc/Episode/Scene:
That's a tough pick...I pretty much like the entire Culling Game Arc (ch 159 - 220) and Perfect Preparation is definitely also a fave, but if I would narrow it down a bit more, I'd say it's the stretch from Kenjaku's negotiations with other countries in chapter 200 until the preparation to release Gojo in chapter 220. I just really like the focus we get on Kenjaku's character there, the extra world building and lore and I also appreciate how dynamic and spontaneous things were during that time. The plans of the protagonists where often completely overthrown and you never quite knew what to expect and what might happen next. (I really miss that energy) I'd also like to mention the Baka Survivor mini-arc, which was such a breath of fresh air and did so much to give Kenjaku's and Takaba's characters much needed depth. I never expected it to be so important when it started. Shows that Gege can make the most ridiculous scenario meaningful if they want to. I think for favourite scene, Kenjaku's one-sided talk with Tengen in chapter 222 before the static TV is still my absolute favourite. It's such striking imagery, showed a whole new layer to their character and relationship with Tengen (establishing that despite technically getting what they wanted they realize this has basically completely destroyed their friendship with Tengen and left them unsatisfied) and sets up what made the Baka Survivor arc so successful.
Character I Think is Underrated:
There's a bunch. Takaba, Angel, Tengen and I'd also count Kenjaku because despite being the main antagonist who drives the entire plot forward, many fans still completely overlook them and their influence and at best boil them down to a generic cold Mastermind a la Aizen 2.0 or just make jokes about them giving birth to Yuuji/fucking Jin. It has gotten a little better since the Baka Survivor arc, at least in the Japanese fandom there seems to be a bit more appreciation there.
Character I Think is Overrated:
Geto. His downfall was well-written in Hidden Inventory, but aside from that I don't think he's all that interesting or exceptional. Also Inumaki. He's basically non-existent and irrelevant in the manga, but for some reason always in the top 10 of most popular characters.
Favourite Ship/Pairing:
Tengen/Kenjaku - special mix of obsession, toxicity, codependency and vore
Something I Love About the Show/Movie:
The way jjk fleshes out side characters and gives them meaning with barely a chapter or less. I also like the way supernatural has been interconnected with the real world and history. That's what makes it so fascinating to me and makes me want to dig deeper. I'm not a big fan of high fantasy or "real world but everyone is magical" settings, so jjk struck a good balance there.
Monster
Favourite Character:
Johan Liebert. Generic answer, I know, but he's one of the few anime villains I actually found scary and threatening. I was always on edge while watching the show, wondering when he would show up and even if he was there, what he would do. Just seeing him standing next to a kid is so stressful, even if he doesn't end up doing anything (just means the child will kill themselves later). I also love his co-dependent, obsessive relationship with Nina and the entire mystery about their past.
Favourite Arc/Episode/Scene:
Prague arc. Like I said, the mystery around Johan and Nina's origins is a big appeal for me for the series and this is all that. It also shows just how versatile Johan is. They also captured the atmosphere of Prague as a city, particularly at night really well. Similar to that, episode 49 where the kids are trying to catch JohAnna and one boy gets send to the red light district is probably my favourite. I like it especially because the focus isn't so much on the adult characters, but you really experience Johan from the eyes of an innocent child who just wanted to play detective and accidentally ran into a real serial killer. The chase of of Tenma & Co. was nerve-wrecking to watch because they're always just a little to late. The scene where JohAnna talks to Milosh about how his existence has no meaning is the main reason why just Noto Mamiko in any other anime stresses me out.
Character I Think is Underrated:
None really. I think the fandom shows a lot of appreciation to every important or minor character.
Character I Think is Overrated:
Tenma. He's just...a little annoying. I got very tired of everyone treating him like a saint for the most basic human decency. Also him angsting over having to kill Johan and only he can do it etc. got old pretty quickly for me. I know what he's supposed to represent, but I just think he's not very interesting to watch.
Favourite Ship/Pairing:
Johan/Jan. I just have a thing for naive regular guys falling for murderers. Johan also had a chance to kill him or his mother, but instead he helped them, so...he treated Jan a lot better than most of his victims. Also in a platonic sense, everything about Johan and Nina drives me insane.
Something I Love About the Show/Movie:
The side stories we are taken on, which all are significant often in ways you didn't expect and they are what make the story feel so human and down-to-earth despite the wild stuff that happens. I also love the inclusion of the fairy tales. I still have trauma from the way Nina reads Obluda in the anime. Just hearing 昔々ある所に gives me chills every time. Bůh Míru/The God of Peace is my favourite of the stories. The open end, the implication of suicide is what makes it so frightening exactly because everything is left to your imagination, plus the knowledge that kids who heard the story went through with what is being implied.

nobara is dead as hell and you guys know it. the cope that she would return got squandered with this week's chapter bc we all thought that with gege's penchant for lining up events of the manga with the anime, she'd finally be back this week after 3 long years but alas...
you guys need to keep this in mind
Tumblr media
the reason why her status is still in limbo after 3 whole years is because of this. with the hard confirmation of her death, gege won't be able to pull this surprise off. it's also the reason why i think gojo is dead for real real despite all the obvious buddhist revival hints scattered throughout the story. guys, gojo already had enlightenment. he's already had it happen once. it's not gonna happen again. and the only hope of nobara coming back is because everyone is still clinging onto the fact that she's in limbo. she's only in limbo because gege wants to keep the "1 person lives/dies" a secret until the very end (obviously) but he killed off nobara way too soon in the story so now he has to intentionally never mention her, be vague about her status, and sprinkle in enough copium in the manga to keep people on their toes. megumi is the same. although he most definitely is not quite dead YET, i personally think it is obvious his body is done for. we won't see him getting his body back. we'll see his soul when yuuji does his soul swap thingy (ch. 220) but his body, his cursed technique, his life, it's finished.
which brings me to why i think this is why it's going to be like that, why jjk will end like that: yuuji, in chapter 1, was cursed by his grandfather
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and in chapter 9, yuuji cursed gojo megumi and nobara
Tumblr media
yuuji's granddad's dying wish was for yuuji to be surrounded by people once he dies. instead all the people that surround him will be dead. yuuji tells gojo megumi and nobara to live long lives. instead they all die before the year is over. it would be too ironic. the boy that was supposed to be executed is the only one who gets to live. it makes sense. it's why i think nobara is dead, why gojo is not coming back, why megumi is done for. but hey ... i'm a firm believer of the saying i'll believe it when i see it ... so who knows maybe this is not how jjk will end at all ... but i'll believe it when i see it. jjk is ending soon anyways, i give it max 30 chapters.

JJK women stans getting fed from the last few chapters. Shoko pov in ch 220, Shoko genuinely smiling for the first time after Hidden Inventory, Kenjaku considering Maki as one of the most powerful sorcerers, Utahime's technique (FINALLY)
It's the absolute bare minimum. But still, THIS is better than whatever the fuck happened with Hana, Yorozu and Tsumiki in the previous arc
Now just bring Nobara and Yuki back. Trust me Gege I will forgive all your crimes.

my favorite psycho, i came here with a jjk confession but i changed my mind and decided to ask if you have a jjk confession that you want to share? maybe something you're loving or not about the manga, especially the latest events? or maybe something from the anime - have you seen Season2? or even a complaint to Gege (because God knows there are times when I'm really upset with that man and everything!)
omg bahaha! HOLA!
Is this how I go from "mental gymnastics anime girl" to "mental gymnastics psycho chick"? 🐥
jjk confessions you ask?!!!! hmmm... let's see.
I feel like my biggest grievances against Gege have got to be ch 208 because what the hell happened? there was just so much potential there, the "gathering of allies" from ch 220 felt a bit abrupt, Tsumiki getting fridged, and not understanding or feeling engaged with what is only the most anticipated battle in jjk, Sukuna vs. Gojo.
I also have to admit that when he announced "jjk's end", I was very worried because it felt like there was a lot of story left to tell and not a lot of time to tell it. So, my perception of the manga was affected by this and it felt even more rushed than usual. But knowing there is still story left to tell even though the end is in sight, helped me realize that I have to be patient and let the cat cook.
i.e. even if what I'm reading right now doesn't make much sense or I don't like it, I know he'll tie loose ends soon enough and that will change my perception of events. I just have to wait for the payoff.
Which is not easy because for those of us who've been reading jjk for a while, it's not a fast process between the weekly release and break weeks.
As for what I'm loving I just really enjoy Gege's writing in general. I love the themes he's explored so far. Soulmates, existentialism, love (is the greatest curse), the space between dreams and reality, how he's incorporated comparative mythology/religion and Depth Psychology into the story, and getting to know what Sukuna stands for on a philosophical level has been a delight (morepleasekthanksbye). That is not to mention that his character work in general is fantastic.
Of course, there's Megumi.
I think that even if I have grievances about how Gege has handled certain aspects of jjk, the way I see it, I am mostly in awe at what he can create under a tight schedule and the foresight he's had to have to plan for twists, etc.
To me, even if jjk is a bit rough around the edges, Gege's writing is very intelligent and intentional, and he is only going to get better as a mangaka, so I'm looking forward to seeing what else he comes up with in the future.
As for the anime.
MAN.
MAPPA has just NAILED IT.
This anime is nothing short of beautiful and even though I prefer the manga (sort of like how the book is almost always better than the movie), the anime elevates the manga to epic proportions. Music, cinematography, action, animation, you can tell the jjk animation team both has a lot of love for jjk AND they GET jjk.
MAPPA understood the assignment.
What about you anon? Do share your grievances. Like I've said before, I may not always agree and I will always try to present a different perspective if there is one except when it comes to not liking Megumi, there is NO OTHER PERSPECTIVE THAT IS VALID ASIDE FROM HE'S AMAZING but as another anon has said before, sharing these ideas makes for a richer discussion about jjk.
Thanks for stopping by and for asking me about jjk :)
