The Red Rocks wrap

As always, Lord Huron's manager, Rich Cohen, took the traditional photo of way-out-there from the Bubs' point of view, which is pretty darn spectacular.

The second Red Rocks show Thursday was just as good as the first one, without the moisture.

The Bubs rolled through all the tunes on "Strange Trails" like nobody else can, then rocked an eight-song encore featuring some of their oldies, plus a couple of songs from the upcoming record - The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1 - finishing the show with a balls-to-the-wall version of "Not Dead Yet."

Meanwhile, I got two more tattoos, which are a little too bloody right now to show you.

Cosmic memories; new record

With Lord Huron’s sixth appearance at Red Rocks Amphitheater fast approaching (May 28 & 29), fans are reminiscing on the World Enders website about past RR shows.

Who could forget that soggy concert two years ago when the rain never stopped …? Not World Ender TJ Held, who posted this amazing photo with the caption: “That time Ben levitated at Red Rocks …”

I’m pretty sure the levitation had nothing to do with all those puddles on the stage and the electric guitar in Benjamin’s hands, but I can’t be certain.

By the way, after dribbling out a handful of new tracks in recent weeks, the band announced Wednesday that its fifth studio album - “The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1” - will be released on July 18.
