Funny thing about letterkenny is like- you don't really know anything about the characters. It really does feel like you're just catching glimpses of their lives during their off hours

truly genius of shoresy to start with the framing device of the sports commentators just talking about what a dirty hockey player shoresy is with montages and anecdotes to match because at that point that's also pretty much the only thing we know about him too so we laugh along. then, we actually meet shoresy and see how dedicated he is to personally putting his team mates, students and foster family first - how he personally takes care of the team by supporting sanguinet as coach and putting up the team in his apartment, going to the press, etc. so, when the last episode starts with the same sport commentators from the first episode joking about who shoresy killed or bribed or blackmailed to get his captaincy back, it has the effect of making you feel so satisfied because you realise they're wrong about him and so were you, but you're not anymore!
